you know, just be as natural as you can. And, and basically what I'm going to do is I'm going to try
to set up an appointment. I'm going to set up an appointment with you. And then what you're
going to do is resist me. And then, you know, just see how fluid it can go. Okay. Got it.

Today, we're going to go through the promise, And we're going to go through how to get people to meet with you.
Okay, and what we're going to do is we're going to do the script and role play.
We'll take 15 minutes or 10 minutes or 12 minutes, actually.
And we'll talk about how to get somebody to meet with you.
And what we're going to do is we're going to practice this.
And I'll demonstrate to you once.
And then you can see from there if you – and then you demonstrate, and then we'll give feedback to each other.
Sound good?
All right.
So somebody role-play with me.
Kelly, role-play with me.
And don't initially give me – so the rules of the role-play are you do want to give the person who's practicing a win, all right?
But we may not want to give them a win.
You know, just be as natural as you can.
And basically what I'm going to do is I'm going to try to set up an appointment.
I'm going to set up an appointment with you.
And then what you're going to do is resist me.
And then, you know, just see how fluid it can go.
Okay.
Got it.
All right.
So, Kelly, so when's a good time we can meet?
I don't know, Dan.
I'll have to check my schedule.
I can just get back to you.
Okay, so you're going to check your schedule, get back to me?
Yeah, I'm a little busy this weekend.
So maybe next week sometime would work like early next week.
Okay, say like maybe Tuesday, Wednesday, what's best for you?
Well, I'll have to check i think probably probably tuesday but i'll confirm okay that sounds good you know what we can do
is we can pencil in a time right now if it you know would be helpful in that way you can let
me know if that time works for you or not and you know if not we can figure out a better time what's a good time we can we can pencil something in um most likely it'll be around lunchtime i'm thinking
like maybe 12 or 1 will probably work okay how about 12 30 okay yeah we could try for that
all right i'm gonna go ahead i'm gonna send you a calendar invitation for that right now and then
like i said if for some reason it doesn't work just text me and we can get a better time. But I'll go ahead and set that up right now.
OK.
All right.
Harvey, role play with me.
So we'll do this three different ways.
I'll do it with David also.
And then you guys, because it's going to be three different conversations.
So there's different things that I'm doing.
So just go with whatever you just, you know, like, don't do exactly what Kelly did, but just do whatever you think is best.
OK.
To resist me.
All right.
So, Harvey, so when should we when should we reconnect uh my schedule is a little bit hectic
so i can probably get back to you early next week and we can put something on the calendar
i got you i got you so your schedule's hectic yeah all right um yeah i completely get that
and it's good that you can get back to me next week that's fine or what we can do is maybe just pencil something in right now because i find that you know what i gotta we all have hectic
schedules right and then this way we can you know make sure that we can accommodate your hectic
schedule maybe like tuesday wednesday we could just maybe pencil something in uh definitely not
wednesday but tuesday we can likely pencil something and i just don't want something to
come up and you feel like i lied to you. What's a good time then?
Probably around 4 p.m.
Okay, I'll send you an invitation at 4 p.m.
Is there anything that you can think of right now that would keep you from keeping that commitment?
Or are we still tentative?
It's tentative right now.
If for any reason that my wife isn't able to pick up our daughter, then I'll be driving.
It'll be a little hard to get my full attention.
But besides that, I think Tuesday at four will be the most optimal time.
Confirm that on maybe Tuesday during the day.
We can maybe I'll send you a text at like, say, one o'clock.
Yeah, that'd be perfect.
Awesome.
Awesome.
Awesome.
Awesome.
All right, David, I'm going to role play with you and then John.
OK, let me go with John first then.
Johnny, I'm going to see if I can set up an appointment with you.
And you're going to resist me and then ultimately follow up my lead, okay?
Hey, salesperson.
Are you struggling to close deals?
Or struggling to gain trust?
Or are you struggling to create consistent and predictable income?
I'm Dan Rochon.
And I've seen it all.

Yeah, I'm not sure.
You think that there could be like an opening over the next week or so?
Yeah, probably.
Okay.
What's a good day do you think that maybe we can reconnect?
Let's see.
Got to be there on Saturday.
How about around between 10 and 11 on Saturday?
All right, boom.
You guys are a little bit too easy for me.
David Chong, welcome.
Nice to meet you face-to-face.
So, David, when's a good time that we can meet?
When should I follow up with you?
Let's see.
Today's Friday, so it's probably over the weekend,
maybe preferably in the morning.
Somebody just tell me.
So just tell me.
I'll call you.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
I'll call you.
Oh, you'll call me
sure yeah yeah all right fantastic when do you think you'll be able to call me by um you know
don't really have a good date um could be next week could be in two three weeks um schedule's
pretty packed yeah so you know i'll just i'll just let you know when i'm free for about an hour
but other than that i can't really give you a good time frame.
I got you.
So maybe what we can do is just sort of put a placeholder, say, a week and a half from now.
And then, you know, we can just put it in as a placeholder.
If it makes sense, great.
If not, you can let me know.
Sure, sure.
Yeah.
Yeah, you can give me a text or email me.
I'll let you know if I can free up a time sometime next week or we can have
them now checked in on that.
So I'm looking at my calendar right now.
I got availability on the 19th or the 20th.
And like I said,
we just sort of pencil it in for now and then we can,
if it doesn't work,
I completely understand.
And we can go from there.
Do either of those days work for you?
Let me check the calendar right now.
He said 19th or the 20th.
Uh-huh.
Um,
see what days are those um friday saturday or
thursday thursday friday um you know those those days are usually when i'm the busiest um it may
be if you want to try the 21st that'd probably be the best best day to reach me you like noons
mornings what's best for you yeah mornings would probably be the best all right how about 9 30 i'll
just put you on there and then if if it works, great. Say yes.
If it doesn't, let me know, and we can reschedule another time the same day.
Okay, sure.
Yeah, that'll work.
All right, I look forward to helping you.
All right, thanks.
All right, now you guys are going to go next.
Before you guys go next, what did you notice in the conversations that we just had?
Was it natural?
Did anybody seem pushed off?
Give us some honest, candid feedback.
What do you guys have?
I like that if they're not giving you a date or if they're just trying to be hesitant
on a specific time and date
that you recommend a time and date,
you just be like, hey, I understand that you,
and you gauge it by their availability.
So if they don't give you a time and date,
then you just give it like, okay, a week and a half.
So not more than two weeks,
but just enough time for them to like sit down,
think about it a little bit more.
And then if they give you like a few days, then you're like, OK, well, here's a time frame within a few days that you really control.
Like, you know, when that when that day might come or when they might expect it instead of them making a decision.
Right. I went to a week and a half because I didn't want to go to like aggressive because you were pushing me off.
But then I would have it's like taking baby steps i would
have taken a day eight days from now would have been ideal so i would have been like what about
a week and a half from now okay what about say the 14th how's that sound right and so then it's
like because you want to push it closer to yourself and it's almost like you said one to
three weeks or one to two weeks i said okay a week and a half you said okay sure maybe and then i said a date that's eight days from now it's like so you're pushing
them forward so closer the sooner the better uh speed is king and what we do uh kelly tell us
more about speed being king we what about 4 p.m today 5 p.m today tomorrow the next day um you
know the new league comes in you call them in what like milliseconds yeah all right everybody be grateful make the choice to go help somebody
