Starting point is 00:00:00 But what I don't want to do is I want to make a plan that's like, I just hate doing this, like, you know, because I think this is what I should do. Starting point is 00:00:25 what's causing me not to implement that plan? Welcome to the No Broke Months for Real Estate Agents podcast. Starting point is 00:01:10 The key to mapping activities for success. Real estate coach Dan Rashan from No Broke Months for Real Estate Agents explores the concept of mapping activities for success. Dan explores the key to mapping activities for success, choosing activities that don't feel like chores. You can succeed without struggling by understanding the psychology behind enjoyable tasks and aligning them with your passion and purpose. Learn what activity mapping is and its impact on your success in the latest No Broke Months for Real Estate Agents episode. I've been working on 50 contacts a week, one pop by, two notes daily, and two media posts per week. Are you achieving your goals from that activity? The contacts, I may do one post a week instead of two, and I may do like five notes. So Paulo, what I'm going to ask for you to do
Starting point is 00:02:07 is to get real on the activity. What I don't want you to do is I want you to map out a course that you're going to struggle to achieve. Like where it's, even though I say you got to do the work, right. But what I don't want to do is I want to make a plan. That's like, I just hate doing this. Like, you know, because I think this is what I should do. But I'm resisting doing it because I freaking despise doing it. Has anyone ever made a plan and then you don't do it because it's like, I hate doing this? What we want to do is we want to develop a plan, Paula, that you're going to follow. So you want to ask yourself some critical questions. Take a look at the plan that you implemented and how do you feel about that? All right. Now, if you don't get any resistance, then the next question is what's causing me not to implement that plan? So if you do get resistance,
Starting point is 00:02:57 then you ask yourself, is there a better plan? Now, if you're doing the activity, so if Paula would have said, I'm doing the 10, I'm doing the five, I'm doing the 50, et cetera, I'm doing the activity. I'm not getting the outcome. I'm not achieving my goals. Then you start asking yourself different questions, which is, am I skilled at this activity? Is this the right activity to do? What activity could I do such that I've reached my goals? Do you see I do such that I reach my goals? Do you see how this is different than me sitting here? Because a lot of coaches just be like, Paula, okay, you're not doing your thing.
Starting point is 00:03:31 You'll do it. Go do it. Right. Like basically just push you into it. Right. I don't believe that that's the way I believe the way is this to find a plan that works for you and then work the plan. And then the plan doesn't work.
Starting point is 00:03:41 Then either adjust the plan, adjust your skillset or adjust something. Well, first of all, do you have a plan? Who here has a plan? Okay. I have a goal. I have a plan. Is the plan working? If the plan's not working, am I working the plan? So I have a goal. I have a plan. Am I working the plan? Is the plan working? If you're not working your plan, is it the right plan? If you are working the plan and you're not getting your goals, then what do you need to change? And if you're working your plan and you're achieving your goals, what parts of your plan work and what parts of your plan do not work? Do more of what works and less of what doesn't, or in fact, none of what doesn't. So this is the way that I'm encouraging for you to take a look at your lives, at your businesses, because this works in life as well as business, right?
