I was afraid.
I took action.
I had success or at least perceived success.
So on the other end of that, I had perceived success.
So it's up to you to decide, will I be afraid and take action anyways?
Or will I be afraid and not take action?
The choice is yours.
Welcome to the no broke months for salespeople podcast, the ultimate action. The choice is yours. new way to persuade human behavior by mastering the art of the teach to sell method. Get ready
to transform your approach and achieve unparalleled success. I got my license November 2007. My first
closing was April something 2008. It took me about 90 days to sort of figure this out and it took me
about another 90 days to implement and start getting business yet since 2008, I followed the models that I learned that I discovered.
And since that time I've had no broke months and many, many months, many,
many years with an average of 10 sales every single month, which then validates
and tells me
that it's freaking harder today. So fear or faith on the other side of that fire walk,
it was like joy. I couldn't believe it. And two days later, I go back to work. Boy, just really think about what I just said.
That alone can probably transform your lives.
I went back to work because I treat my sales business as a business.
I pick up the phone and I never was afraid again to make a cold call because I realized
on the other side is that joy.
Now my third year in business, but here's the deal, my third year in business
as an agent, I did 109 transactions with two assistants. But here's the deal, none of this
is about me. This is just about you of understanding that you could be afraid and not take action,
You could be afraid and not take action, or you could be afraid and take action.
I was afraid. I took action. I had success, or at least perceived success.
I don't like to label anything as successful, because we never know what's on, you know, that's a very, very subjective word, in my opinion. So on the other end of that I had
perceived success. So it's up to you to decide will I be afraid and take action anyways or will
I be afraid and not take action? The choice is yours. So what I'm going to encourage for you to do is to be afraid
and take action anyways. Once upon a time my father, my former father-in-law, would
take us to a resort in Putucana every single year. And I remember
going to Putucana, but they were like training to be at the elite.
And a part of what they would do is they would take the audience, you know,
the guests rather, not the audience. And one of the things that they would do with us is they
would did us this flying trapeze. My daughter at the time was around five years old. And I'll never
forget she went up to the ladder at the bottom of this flying trapeze. And it seemed like it's
hundreds and hundreds. I don't know how high it was, but it seemed high for me. And Maggie,
my daughter, she's climbing up the stairs or the
ladder rather she gets about halfway up and she stops and she climbs back down and I reach over
to her I walked over to her I said hey sweetie what's going on she said daddy I'm scared
I said okay I said do you believe that you? Yes. Do you believe that I'd always make sure that you're safe?
Yes.
Do you believe that's going to be fun?
Yes.
Would you be willing to try going back up those up the ladder?
Yes.
Okay.
And so she climbs back up the ladder.
She gets up top of the ladder.
She grabs onto the bar and man she swings down that thing
and she swings back and then she comes down to the net that was underneath and the net
was way up like this and guess what she does?
She runs back to the ladder and I said, oh, hold on sweetie.
I bring her over to me.
I said, sweetie, hold on because I see this parenting opportunity and I went over to her. I said, I grabbed her and I said, honey, I
said, what are you feeling right now? And she's like, leave me alone, daddy. I want
to go back up here. I said, hold on, hold on. You can go back up. Just give me a second.
What do you feel? And she's like, I'm happy. I'm happy. I said, sweetie, before you went
up that ladder, how did you feel? I was afraid. And what do you feel right now?
Okay, so you're happy. Yeah, I'm happy.
So honey, I want you to understand, sometimes in life, you're going to be afraid.
And when you do the action on the other side of that fear, guess what you're going to have?
You're going to have this feeling that you're experiencing
right now. Hey, hey, salesperson, are you struggling to close deals or struggling to
gain trust? Or are you struggling to create consistent and predictable income? I'm Dan
Groshan, and I've seen it all. Salespeople stuck in uncertainty, guessing their way through the business.
And that's why I created
the Consistent Predictable Income CPI Inner Circle
to give you the tools to master, teach yourself,
and finally eliminate the struggle.
Learn how to influence, close,
and turn doubt into trust on repeat.

And that's what I want to have for you. I want you to have that experience of life where maybe you're afraid to
make that cold call. Maybe you're afraid to go ask your neighbor for a referral. Maybe you're afraid
of going to a networking event. Maybe you're afraid of getting on video on YouTube and teach
to sell to be able to educate the audience, to educate the world about the predictable problems of a real estate transaction
or about the community that you farm or maybe you're afraid to make an investment into a
marketing activity. But here's the thing when you make smart decisions when you make take
smart actions on the other side of that fear a lot of times you're going to feel that like my daughter did.
So, what are your ah-hahs from the conversation today?
How can you take this and how can you apply it to your world, to your life?
What are your thoughts? What are your feelings? What are your questions?
What are you thinking right now?
Christine says you
have to face your fears and overcome them. Have faith that you can do whatever
you put your mind to. You know here's another option as well and I agree with
you Christine. When I went across those coals you know what I did at a Tony
Robbins event? I turned my brain off. I literally turn my brain off. I just say, I'm just going to do it. I'm not going to think about it.
Okay? Because sometimes that chatter in your head,
if you could take that chatter in your head and just be like, dude, shut up.
And not even pay attention to it.
Now you don't have to overcome it.
Okay? Because it's the hard way is to fight that chatter. The easier way is
just to be like, I'm gonna put you over there. We are human beings. We are spiritual beings, rather.
We are spiritual beings manifested in a human condition. One day we're all going to be dead.
We are the most significant miracle ever imaginable. Yet, we are also insignificant.
The reality of this is you're going to die one day.
So none of that told you back is going to matter.
So between here and there, what type of life do you want to live?
So I'm going to encourage for you
to live the best life possible to take
action and to not let the thoughts of what may go wrong, the thoughts of what how you
may get rejected, the thoughts of what may be holding you back allow for you to feel frozen or to feel like, you know, I shouldn't take action.
And I'm going to invite for you to take all that stuff, put it over here, take action,
and live the best life possible. Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for joining us. God bless you guys.
