Starting point is 00:01:02 condition yourself that there are always two sides to your behavior, whether it is impacting you negatively or positively. All right, inventory of your personal traits. So let's talk about traits first. Let's talk about behaviors. So what I hear a lot of times is that behaviors are either strengths or weaknesses. All right, well, the reality of it is, is that a behavior is just a behavior.
Starting point is 00:01:40 It's not a strength nor a weakness. So what do I mean by that? What I mean by that is when that behavior is serving you, then it is one that will show up as a strength. When that behavior is getting in your way, it is one that will show up as a weakness. So we can take the very same behavior and we can use that same, same behavior and it could show up as a weakness. So we can take the very same behavior and we can, we can use that same, same behavior and it could show up as a strength or as a weakness. What's an example of that? What do you guys got?
Starting point is 00:02:13 Like what's an example of where a, the same behavior can show up as a strength or a weakness. The kind way of saying that tenacious being stubborn, being stubborn. Okay. Being stubborn. So how can being stubborn or tenacious, how can that show up as a positive for you? You keep moving forward. You don't give up easily. You don't get discouraged. You know that what you're doing is right and you keep going.
Starting point is 00:02:35 Okay. And then how could that show up as a weakness? At the same time, then you're inflexible to seeing that, you know what, there might be a better way of doing this. Stuck in your way that I have to be right and you just keep plowing ahead okay i love it great feedback calling what else what else you guys got um i think it's someone someone that's quiet during the conversation uh that's more reserved okay so somebody more reserved and then how could that be a strength and how could that be a weakness as a strength uh that would could be you're actually putting all the details together a proper decision instead of uh just leaping into it weaknesses you're just talking out your ass okay so these are uh so hopefully i've demonstrated to you that a um that it's only behavior. So the definition I've come up with for behaviors
Starting point is 00:03:28 of when it shows up as a strength versus a weakness is when a behavior serves you and others, it's a strength. When a behavior gets in your way or gets you in the way of others, it's a weakness. So take what we just went through with the traits and observe what is this exercise doing for you. Take a little bit more time and really discover going through this. And it's going to give you like a compass. It's going to give you a guiding light. Thanks so much for listening to the No Broke Months podcast today. Until the next show, I invite for you to be grateful, make good choices,
Starting point is 00:04:09 help someone, have the best day of your life, and go find a listing.
