Starting point is 00:01:58 I have a guy outside real estate sales that I coach right now. And I was coaching him about a week and a half ago. And what we came up with was that he would have two sales calls a day. So for about two weeks, what he was saying was the two sales calls a day. And I missed it. So about two weeks in, I'm like, okay, well, you have zero results. And he said, but Dan, I'm having the conversations. And I said to him, I said, okay, well, tell me about the conversation. And what we discovered was he wasn't asking for the sale in the conversation. He was just having conversations. Okay.
Starting point is 00:02:34 So he's having conversations, but not asking for the sale. And I told him, I said, listen, for it to count as one of those two conversations, you have to ask two questions. Number one is, do you want to hire me? Number two, what's your credit card? Okay. Unless if they say no to the, do you want to hire me? Then you obviously wouldn't ask the second question, right? But if they say yes to that, but now this isn't real estate sales, right? It's a, it's a product. Okay. So I coach this guy and I'm telling them the two, the two things you have to ask in your conversation to count as a
Starting point is 00:03:02 conversation is, do you want to hire me? What's your credit card? Does that make sense? So what he was saying, like we're conversations, but he wasn't asking for the sale. So that's lead generation. So my simple definition of lead generation is it's simple. Just like it's all simple. It really truly is. The definition of lead generation is doing something to find business. That's it. That's all simple. It really truly is. The definition of lead generation is doing something to find business.
Starting point is 00:03:28 That's it. That's all it is. Can you guys got that? It's just doing something to find business. So whether that's converting somebody that you've already talked to, hosting an open house, doing a video like Ali does such such great videos right that is lead
Starting point is 00:03:47 generationally by the way just consider when you're making videos about you know about your service or product you are lead generating okay and in fact that's it's a slower lead generation but it's a smarter lead generation and the reason why it's smarter is because when a lead makes a video, it stays out there for all of time. It stays out there for the rest of time. Okay. And so that means that lead can be lead generated. I'm just picking on him. I'm highlighting him, right? Because what he's doing is effort that's going to compound and produce results. But it's slow, okay? Because you have to have a lot of momentum in that type of lead generation. But at some point, I talked to a guy this past week, and one of my appointments this weekend,
Starting point is 00:04:38 he came from my YouTube channel. And he's like, yeah, I've been watching your videos. I've been, you know, right? It happens. Now, at least something that you may want to consider in your YouTube promotion is making sure that you're, because what you're doing is great with the luxury and all that type of stuff, but make sure you're considering what are people searching for?
