Starting point is 00:01:13 Real estate coach Dan Rochon of No Broke Months for Real Estate Agents talks about using social media to promote a listing. He explains that social media is a powerful tool that real estate agents can use to promote their property listings and reach a wider audience. Learn more about using social media to promote a listing in this new episode of No Broke Months for Real Estate Agents. I was going to ask, because now with these two listings, and one is definitely they're young, they're in their 20s, they're the slippers. And I want to be able to, and I'm not even sure if this is the right thing. You will probably know this, but when the listing comes on, not just being on our MLS, but I want to be able to Instagram within a real time that I'm putting
Starting point is 00:02:02 this sign up and putting it on Facebook. And I don't have a clue on how to do that. Okay. I'll get that. But there's something that's, I think, more important first. We'll get that here in a second. What's more important first is understanding what our consumers are going to do. And even since I've been selling real estate and not as long as some of you since 2007,
Starting point is 00:02:22 it's changed even in that short period of time or long period of time, however you're looking at it, where when I put a listing on the market, within minutes, the consumer, the seller is on Zillow and Redfin looking at their list. Okay, so I think it's really, really vital and important that we understand there are some components to technology
Starting point is 00:02:41 that you would really make sure that you're aware of because if you don't know the way it's displaying on Zillow or Redfin, and then for some reason it's displaying in a manner that you're not intended for it to do so, you should be looking at that before they are. Which means that you have to be looking at it almost instantaneous to when it's going live. Okay, so that's the one thing there, just sort of like a, just something for us all to recognize. Debra, in regards to like using Instagram, using Facebook, using the social media for promoting yourself, just showing you putting the sign up, et cetera. If it's not natural for you to be using social media, I don't know if I would suggest to like dive all in on it. I would suggest maybe to take it in baby steps from here to there and get comfortable with it and then see if it's something that you resonate with.
Starting point is 00:03:30 You may never resonate with it. And I'm not necessarily an advocate of saying you have to do social media, for example. I'm more of an advocate to say, find your way and now let's go all in on your way. And so if your way ends up being, Debra, relationships, going back to the relationship that you've had throughout your career, re-engaging with them and caring for them and taking great care of them, and you're never on Instagram, I think you'll be just fine. Happy to hear that, Bear. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:57 Thank you. Yeah, you will. Now, all those things are all supplements, right? They're all ways to amplify, they're ways to leverage and all that type of stuff, but not any of it's required, but just make sure whatever you do, you do very well. And as long as you do that, you'll be fine. Okay. Thank you. Thanks so much for listening to the No Broke Months podcast today. Until the next show, I invite for you to be grateful, make good choices, help someone,
Starting point is 00:04:24 have the best day of your life, and go find a listing.
