Starting point is 00:00:00 If you're not able to take these concepts and then teach it to somebody else, you're wasting your time. I want to say that because if you're taking one step forward when you can take 10, you still took one step forward, but you're wasting the opportunity of the other nine steps. That's probably better said. So if you want to become a master, I've got to take the concepts. I've got to take the concepts, I've got to take the content, and then teach to sell. What is Teach to Sell? Real estate coach Dan Rashawn from No Broke Months for Real Estate Agents explains the importance of learning a skill or concept so well that you can teach it to others. Dan explains that teaching a skill to others involves breaking down complex ideas, identifying key concepts, and presenting them coherently.
Starting point is 00:01:29 This process challenges understanding, forces one to think critically, and reinforces knowledge and skills. Tune in to the new No Broke Months for Real Estate Agents episode for strategies to master skills and concepts through teaching. So, Dan, when you say teach to train. Teach to sell. Teach to sell, right? My question for you is how? Who here remembers the CPI communication model? You remember, Aretha?
Starting point is 00:02:02 I think. Okay. Could you teach it to me? I'm not going to ask for you to do so right now. Could you imagine that the next time I ask you, could you teach that to me and you can teach it to me? Can you imagine the level of mastery that you have when you're able to teach that to me versus when you can't? That's teach to sell. Okay. It's understanding because I'm giving you a lot of content,
Starting point is 00:02:29 a tremendous amount of content that I've hopefully I've condensed it into bite-sized chunks. That's why we call this baby steps. Yet, if you're not able to take these concepts and then teach it to somebody else, you're wasting your time. I want to say that because if you're taking one step forward when you can take 10, you still took one step forward, but you're wasting the opportunity of the other nine steps. That's probably better said.
Starting point is 00:03:01 Okay? And so it's great i hope that everybody here took one step forward and i hope that everybody here has gotten one little nugget of something that's helped you in your life but what i really want is i want you to have 10 nuggets of that and for most when we go through training when we go through development we only take that one little step it's like okay i've got this awareness of it and that's going to be in my subconscious somewhere and that's going to be in my subconscious somewhere. And that's going to impact me somehow,
Starting point is 00:03:27 but I'm not going to become a master at it. So if you want to become a master, I've got to take the concepts. I've got to take the content and then teach to sell. Because then when I have that ingrained in myself, so I have a model like the CPI communication model or any of the CPI models that I teach and train you on, that now I've become a master. Now I've ingrained it within not just like that little bit of subconscious where I took one step instead of 10.
Starting point is 00:04:03 Now I'm taking nine or 10 steps. Now I'm becoming the best in the world at the craft that I do. Or the best that I can be in my own life if it comes down to a concept such as understand your worth. I'm teaching you right now how to understand your worth. I wanted at that time when I wrote that to understand my worth because I was not an integrity in it. So I said, okay, well, how do I do that? Well, I've got to be able to teach how do you understand your worth? And it starts with in that concept with being honest with yourself about who you are and what you're worthy and what do you want.
Starting point is 00:04:52 So it starts with the basics of the concepts and being able to communicate that to others in a way that they can understand it. Do you guys think today I understand my worth? I think I understand it more than a one out of a 10. Thanks so much for listening to the No Broke Months podcast today. Until the next show, I invite for you to be grateful, make good choices, help someone, have the best day of your life, and go find a listing.
