Starting point is 00:01:34 from No Broke Months for Salespeople dives deep into education and explores the qualities that make an educator exceptional. Dan emphasizes the importance of thoroughly understanding the material you teach to educate others and become a great teacher effectively. Uncover why being a great educator is about more than just delivering content in the latest No Broke Months for Salespeople episode. So how many times have you seen me teach an hour or more and not even know the topic that I was going to teach until 30 seconds before I taught? Several times. Almost every time. Not almost every time. But she's seen me do it often. So how do you guys think I do that? So with like 30 seconds preparation, if that, be able to carry a conversation, provide value, good instruction for an hour or more or eight hours.
Starting point is 00:02:26 Repetition, says Dorothy. Here's the way that I do it. So, yes, it's repetition. But the way that I do it, has anybody besides me ever been to a Tony Robbins event? So, have you ever seen Tony talk for basically 32 hours straight? You know, like eight hours at a time? All right. So, how does he do that?
Starting point is 00:02:44 He does that because he knows the steps. He knows the frameworks. two hours straight, you know, like eight hours at a time. All right. So how does he do that? He does that because he knows the steps. He knows the frameworks. Right. So you don't need it necessarily as an instructor. You don't necessarily have to do any preparation if you know the instructions. Right. Step one, step two, step three, step four. And that's the way that you keep it sorted in your head. Right. So what I'm teaching you guys is I'm teaching you the instructions. OK. And so, you know, you notice that the CPI frameworks are all step by step by step. Have you noticed that? So then as they're step by step by step. The reason why it's taught like that is to make it easy for you to remember. So now I just want to sort of like share that with you to remind you, Sue, that, OK, I'm going to learn these steps.
Starting point is 00:03:29 And now now that I know the steps, now I can take those steps and I can teach it to somebody else if I wanted to. And then when you're able to teach it to somebody else, now I know that I've got this internalized. Now I don't have to think. Now I can actively listen. I can follow the CPI communication model, be in rapport, ask a depth question, actively listen. But you can only really truly follow that model if you have these things internalized, the steps internalized, which is why Tony can go and literally ask Brett, he could probably talk for the next 100 hours, give him a topic that he's knowledgeable on. He's got the frameworks memorized.
Starting point is 00:04:09 And it's just step one, step two, step three. The same way that's how I do it without a lot of preparation as well, because I know the steps. And so when you know the steps, you become better at your craft. Thanks for listening to the show today. I am truly passionate about watching great business owners like you and salespeople to grow. And nothing excites me more than hearing
Starting point is 00:04:32 your incredible success stories. And I invite for you.
