which is a show for real estate agents to help you have no broke months thanks for joining me
enjoy the show fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks one time
I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.
This philosophy, it perfectly applies to lead generation.
I want you to consider that rather instead of scattering your efforts thinly across the vast audience,
it's far more effective to focus your energy on a specific group of potential clients.
It's far more effective to focus on one way to generate business, whether than thousands.
Sending 10,000 targeted marketing pieces to your most likely clients is going to be much more
effective than sending one piece to 10,000 random people.
Now, let's talk about commitment.
Success in any endeavor, especially in sales, requires a commitment.
Research shows that it typically
takes a minimum of 18 months of consistent effort to yield optimal results.
18 months, understanding this timeline is going to help position you to have sustainable success.
Now, I know that we're in that we want everything yesterday economy.
And 18 months can seem like a really long time.
Yet, it's that long from when you start to when you get the consistent result that you're looking for.
So this is where the concept of commit or quit becomes crucial.
You really need to fully commit your strategies and your actions.
You need to reflect on your purpose behind making sales.
What drives you?
Once you clarify your intentions, choose an approach, whether it's digital marketing,
cold calling, or networking, and you stick to it until you achieve your results that you desire,
remember commitment is the key that's going to unlock your success there's no single right way to
generate leads i know you're looking for the magic the magic bullet i know you're looking for the
get rich quick scheme but they're first of all that doesn't exist secondly all lead generation
techniques can be effective when you commit to them and guess what you apply them consistently
business grows, that's when you're going to consider diversify your lead sources.
So yes, one effort's going to produce, you know, done 10,000 times going to produce a greater
result. But at some point, you're going to have to diversify. But you do so as your business
grows. So how do you find clients? Primarily, you can generate leads through one of three methods or
more than one of these three methods. The methods are number one is marketing. Marketing includes
both digital as well as traditional methods, whether you're leveraging social media ads,
email marketing or direct mail. The goal is to create visibility and to create an interest
among your target audience for your service or for your product or your goods.
Prospecting. So this is the old school. This is, you know, cold calling, follow up emails, knocking on
doors. It's the in-person visits that fall under this category. Prospecting costs you time. Marketing costs you
money so it's an excellent approach if you have the time and if you have limited financial resources
networking building relationships through attending events or hosting events workshops community gatherings
this can really lead to valuable connections and referrals so networking it could cost you both
time and money but the relationships that you build are often worth the investment it's important
for you understand there's always going to be a cost associated with finding business so whether that
costs is time or money, it's always going to exist. So marketing, as I mentioned, typically
requires a financial investment. Prospecting costs you time, time spent researching leads
and making outreach efforts, and networking demands both time and financial resources for the events
or the memberships, etc. For newer salespeople, now if you have more time than money, I'm going to
suggest that you focus on prospecting. That could be a really strategic choice. Investing your time
to build in relationships and seeking out potential leads is going to pay dividends in the long
run. The journey of lead generation requires focus, commitment, and consistency. By understanding
where your leads come from and how to effectively pursue them, you're going to position yourself
for success. Now, let's explore how you can implement these strategies in your own lead generation
efforts. Stay committed and the opportunities are going to start to unfold. This is Dan Rochon,
host of No Broke Months.
