A lot of different ways to provide value.
It's just understanding how you do so,
and now you reframe it to the context of real estate sales.

My name is Dan Roshan.
I'm the host of the No Broke Months podcast,
which is a show for real estate agents
to help you have no broke months.
Thanks for joining me. Enjoy the show. and those around you. In this episode, Dan talks about ways to help the people around you,
not just about real estate, but in general, to show that you are not just an excellent agent,
but also someone trustworthy that they can rely on. Learn more about how you can help people in
this new No Broke Months for Real Estate Agents episode. What problems can you solve for others
and what value can you provide?
Like, first of all, like what problems does the consumer have?
What I want you to do today is to go through and identify what are the problems that a
consumer can have.
The problems that a consumer can have is that they don't know what's in their blind spots.
That's the biggest problem that I believe consumers have, right?
They think it's as easy as going on Zillow and finding a home. And now that's all that there is to it. That's the biggest trap that the consumer
falls into. Okay. And that's about maybe 5% of what needs to happen to make this home buying
process a reality for them. Okay. And they're ignoring 95% over here. That's the biggest
problem that you can help them solve. What other problems can you help them solve you can help them to be able to be a connector to them to be able to uh to to
connect them with different vendors with resources uh that that maybe they need for the home but
maybe even after the home you know maybe uh being that community connector of hey do you have a
chiropractor dan i got one for you hey do you have an attorney i got one for you hey i mean people
here in this community right now in the last week have asked me for connections that are
not real estate related. Hey, you got a CPA, Dan? Yes, I do. Do you have a financial planner, Dan?
Yes, I do. Those are two in this community right here in the last seven days that I've,
and you know who you are, I connected you with, right? Like, so be that connector. So these are
some of the problems that you can help
people solve. It can be well outside of real estate sales. What are some examples of times
that you've helped people in the past? I want you again, just think this doesn't have to be real
estate related. This could be, you helped your friend's girl go and sell Girl Scout cookies,
right? Like I want you to think creatively, because you have
all helped somebody. How have you helped them? So now if you went, you helped your girlfriend's
friends, you know, sell Girl Scout cookies, because your girlfriend's friend is working
full time, because she's a single mom, and she doesn't have the ability to do that. Like, hey,
I'll take her out. Now, what does that display? It displays care, displays empathy. It displays, again, what
does it take to go out and sit on a street corner and sell Girl Scout cookies? Well, a little bit of
resilience, a little bit of willingness to get yourself out there, a little bit of a willingness
to get rejected. Okay. Though that's not as hard of a rejection as standing out there trying to
sell real estate because most people are not going to reject Girl Scout cookies. Well, some may. I don't
know. What do you love doing and what are you passionate about? Again, it doesn't have to be
real estate. This can be, I love playing cards, going back to that example. This could be, I love
hunting. I love fishing. This could be whatever it is that you love doing. Just write down what
you love doing. Now down what you love doing
and now how can you leverage your strength and passions to help others now if you took your
friend's girl out for girl scout cookies how can you leverage that strength of care of getting
yourself out there of taking care of others how can you leverage that to be able to help to help
your clients specifically and now how can you effectively communicate your value to others social media is your platform to do so and what
kind of feedback have you received in the past about the value that you provide that girlfriend
that you have she comes back and she says i am so grateful that you took out my girl you know and i
wish i could be there for her but i have to to, I got to pay bills, right? And
what's most important is that I'm, you know, raising this daughter to be a good young woman.
And I love you for you taking your time for doing that for me, right? Again, nothing about real
estate, but what kind of feedback have you gotten in your life? A lot of different ways to provide
value, right? And now it's just understanding how you do so.
And now you reframe it to the context of real estate sales.
You all provide tremendous value to your communities, to the people that know you.
And I know each one of you provides community value.
And each one of you cares a whole ton.
Now, we're all different human beings.
We're all different strengths.
Now, let's lean into those strengths. Thanks so much for listening to the No Broke Months podcast today. Until the next
show, I invite for you to be grateful, make good choices, help someone, have the best day of your
life, and go find a listing.
