Starting point is 00:00:42 which is a show for real estate agents to help you have no broke months. Thanks for joining me. Enjoy the show. Why making a habit out of these five things is important. Real estate coach Dan Rashan from No Broke Months for Real Estate Agents discusses habits. In this episode, Dan shares a quote from Warren Buffett about habits and why it is essential to make a habit out of these five activities to achieve success. Learn which activities you should make a habit of in the latest No Broke Months for Real Estate Agents episode. The chains of habit are too light until they are too heavy to be broken. That's by Warren Buffett, by the way.
Starting point is 00:01:24 What does that mean to you? To me, it would be more like a very long time habit, like something you've been doing for such a long time. It's so easy and it just comes naturally. Like for an example, I used to light up a cigarette every time I walk out without even thinking about it. But when I started cutting down on it, it would be very hard for me to do so. So it can be very light at, you know, if it's like something you've been doing for so long, but trying to quit at it and it gets to very tough. For me, what that means is, I'm going to relate that to our businesses. And in our businesses, what I recognize is my job would be really simple as a
Starting point is 00:02:09 coach and as a team leader for a real estate sales company when I could just simply get one thing to happen. And that one thing to happen is for us to embrace the habit to lead generate daily. And when I can get that to happen, every one of you will be successful in this business. Now, the challenge that I have as a leader is to inspire others, real estate agents, to be able to follow a schedule, to be able to lead generate daily. Okay. That's the biggest challenge that I have. And there's some tools that we use. One of which is to focus on the why, why are you selling real estate? What's important to you about that? And we've gone through that exercise. In fact, sometimes when I go through the exercise today, I feel as though some people
Starting point is 00:03:01 are checking out when I go through that exercise. Yet those same people who are checking out are also, if I was to guess, not embracing the habits of lead generating daily. Now, that's not a critique. It's just an observation. And so some of the tools that I have is to focus, OK, why are you selling real estate? What's important to you about that? And now let's get for real. Now your five things, which is your CPI time, which is all laid out. Those are the things there that as a real estate agent, when you follow those habits of doing the five things as a real estate agent, which is to lead generate,
Starting point is 00:03:46 convert the leads to an appointment, attend the leads to get hired or attend appointments to get hired, negotiate scripts and role play, those five things there, when you embrace the habits of doing those daily, then the change of the habits become too heavy to be broken. Yet, you have to first do so. And if you don't embrace the habits of your CPI time, it's really easy to allow for distraction to get you. It's really easy to not actually embrace those habits. Thanks so much for listening to the No Broke Months podcast today. Until the next show, I invite for you to be grateful, make good choices, help someone, have the best day of your life, and go find a listing.
