Starting point is 00:01:25 Why you should choose to look at the right perspective. Thanks for joining me negative and the positive. The beautiful thing is that you can choose which perspective to adopt. Discover the power of perspective in the new No Broke Months for Real Estate Agents episode. On every single Monday, we do Mindset Mastery. Mindset Mastery is a little nugget, a little dose of something to be able to allow for us to look at things differently throughout the week. Because when you change the way you look at things, the things that you look at change. And it allows for us to set ourselves up for a foundation of success for the week. And real estate sales, I'm going to be careful the way that I phrase this. For some people, they may state that real estate sales is extraordinarily difficult. And the reason why I'm being very careful about the way I'm stating that is because
Starting point is 00:02:20 I don't want to create that as our reality. I understand that the experience can be challenging. I understand that I have a closing. I was supposed to close a week and a half ago, and the buyer lost their job. And I loaned $40,000 on the deal that I've got waiting to come back to me. I understand that. That's an experience that I have got waiting to come back to me, right? Like, I understand that. That's an experience that I have right now.
Starting point is 00:02:47 That sucks, right? But I'm sure that you may be able to relate to that. Would anybody else besides me be able to relate to things happening outside your control that sometimes can be a little bit challenging? So that is what it is, but we're going to create a different reality. So there's a rock, a mountain in Arizona, not too far from where my father lives. And when you drive past it, if you drive past it this way, then they call it chimney rock. It's the same formation.
Starting point is 00:03:26 It's three rocks. And it's called chimney rock. It actually sort of looks like this, right, where it's teared up so that it looks exactly like a chimney. The Native Americans called that chimney rock. But they also called the same formation three sisters. Because when you drove around to the other side of it and you looked at it from this perspective, the same rock formation looked like three sisters. So the same instance, when you look at it from one perspective, chimney rock. When you look at it from another perspective, three sisters. Now, what does that have to do with sales?
Starting point is 00:04:10 What does that have to do with who we're being? Because you can have the same instance, the same thing happen, and you can look at it from two very, very different ways. Just like the Native Americans looked at that same rock formation as either Three Sisters or as Chimney Rock, depending on their perspective of how they're looking at it. So when we understand that, then we may choose to look at things differently. The challenge that we have is that we live in a world that worships limitations. We live in a world that, you know, focuses on things like disease, conflict, right and wrong, war, crime, negative news. Has anybody observed that news is often very, very negative?
Starting point is 00:05:14 Is that something besides myself that you've observed? It's a focus of our society. It's a focus of our existence, unfortunately. And again, we can look at the world from that negative viewpoint, or we can look at it from a positive viewpoint. We get to choose. Thanks so much for listening to the No Broke Months podcast today. Until the next show, I invite for you to be grateful, make good choices, help someone, have the best day of your life, and go find a listing.
