Starting point is 00:00:02 Hi, I'm Jordana Abraham. And I'm Dr. Naomi Bernstein. And we want to tell you about calm the fuck down, a guided meditation series from the oversharing podcast. This is something we've been planning for a long time. It's our most requested segment from the podcast. We actually just finished recording our first four episodes, which are available now. And I'm so relaxed right now.
Starting point is 00:00:23 I don't know if you can tell by the tone of my voice, but I'm feeling quite zen. Naomi, you do these with clients all the time, right? Yes, every single group that I do starts with a 10 minute or so meditation and it sets the tone. It opens people up to whatever happens in our sessions. But I recommend strongly that people do these as often as possible, specifically the ones that we're working on or are for specific stressors or difficult moments in life. So I think these are going to be really helpful for people to kind of pop. in when they need a little boost, a little impromptu therapy session, as if I'm in the room with you guiding you through these moments. Yeah, I mean, we talked about this a lot on the show before,
Starting point is 00:01:14 but after you meditate, you're kind of a different person. You're a better version of yourself. You're a more relaxed, more open-minded version of yourself. And so really what these are meant to do, there's a lot of meditations out there, but these are really with the oversharing tone, They keep it light. We keep it fun. Meditation doesn't have to be this really intimidating, scary, boring thing. I think we made these with that intention in mind, no pun intended. And I think you guys are really going to like our take on these.
Starting point is 00:01:43 And they're going to be so helpful for so many different points in your life. And I don't want to say we can guarantee that people are going to like you more than they used to. But, you know, we've got a high satisfaction rate. Yes. I agree. I really, I'd like people to see this as, you know, I get a lot, you know, my patients that I see one-on-one and in groups will oftentimes reach out to me in between sessions with a text about something that's happening in their life and looking for guidance. And I think these meditations are a great way to kind of have access to a therapist in between your therapy sessions, someone that can kind of guide you through being patient and working through this process. So you're not feeling like you're all by your and you're also not bombarding your friends and family with paragraph text messages and snapshots and the overanalysis of what's happening that you can just kind of really learn how to deal with some of this stuff on your own. Yeah. And these meditations are going to be between
Starting point is 00:02:43 five and ten minutes. They're going to be super quick because we don't have a lot of time. And again, you're going to be so surprised how five to ten minutes of really thoughtful meditations can transform your whole life. So now that we cover what the meditations are four, do you want to tell the listeners a little bit about what to expect if they become a subscriber? Yes, in addition to the first four meditations available at launch in July 2023, we'll be doing two new meditations every single month. Plus, for the fans of oversharing podcast out there, you'll also get ad-free versions of every episode of the oversharing podcast. So that means we'll be doing two more meditations each and every month with
Starting point is 00:03:21 different themes and topics to help you tackle life's challenges. One of the things I love about this is that each meditation will resonate differently with each listener. So if you find one that you really love, you can revisit it again and again. I'm really looking forward to listening to my favorites as well for those tough moments in my life. And if you guys have any subjects that if you guys have any topics or subjects that you would love a meditation for, please email us at oversharing at Betches.com with something that you think that you and others might relate to as it pertains to a specific topic for a meditation.
