What's up? What's up, everybody. Welcome to a brand new episode of Part of The Problem. I am Dave Smith. He is Robbie the Fire. Bernstein. How are you, sir? We're back from Louville, but well, I shouldn't say, I'm back. You're still in Louville.
Yes, and I have like six hours between this and my actual flight to not be drinking downtown because I have to drive my land.
Oh, dude, what was it? Where were we? I guess it was a few weeks ago, whereas I got a crazy
delay like an eight hour delay or something and I called you and I was like are you still in
town with the car and you were like yep and I was like oh never been happier to have a buddy with a
car in town than when you got eight hours to kill not even I I had such a long delay that it wasn't
even like oh just just drink it was like I could drink and sober back up and still have to
catch my flight well I have the opposite problem that I have to get the car back to the airport
otherwise I wouldn't have to be at the airport so early but you know it's the throw all the game
You get to enjoy a whole weekend of shows and porching,
and then God punishes you for what you enjoyed over the weekend with your travel.
There you go.
There's something.
There's a nice cyclical nature to that.
Well, you get to do it all again this weekend in Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas at the hyenas out there.
They got one in Dallas and one in Fort Worth.
So we're doing them this Friday and Saturday.
Always one of our favorite runs of the year.
Love doing these hyenas clubs out there in Dallas.
So tickets are moving fast.
So go grab them if you want to come out this weekend.
com for those tickets.
And I'll be out in the area day early at a turning point beer.
I'm doing my own show.
Come out.
You can see the FBI presentation.
And then after that, I've got San Francisco, Sacramento, Reno, and Salt Lake City.
So a bunch of porches coming up.
Hell yeah.
Hell yeah.
All right.
Well, so I wanted, I had something in mind for this show that I wanted to talk about a bit.
So, of course, over the weekend was the 25th anniversary of 9-11.
And we spent it in Poughkeepsie as, as I believe all those who fell would have wanted.
But anyway, I just, so, you know, the 25th, look, 9-11, I guess the anniversary of it is always a thing for obvious reasons.
And 25 is a big deal.
You know, I mean, I understand this is a little bit arbitrary, but like it's a quarter century.
It's a number that feels big to people.
It's always kind of a time to reflect on these things.
I remember the 20th, as you do, Rob, five years ago, though.
It was, you know, the 20th anniversary happened, what would have been in 2021.
We were still kind of in COVID times, like really in the height of COVID times still, believe
it or not, by that point.
And so that kind of distracted a little bit from it.
Anyway, I guess, you know, I would just kind of start off by saying that, obviously,
9-11, for me, I mean, I was 18 on 9-11.
for basically everyone my age, that was kind of our coming of age story.
And obviously, for people who know the show and are familiar with my work,
you know, it was the Ron Paul presidential campaign in 2008.
It was actually in 2007, but he was running for 2008.
But when I first saw him, what sparked my interest in all of this libertarianism and political stuff
was about 9-11.
It was the Ron Paul Giuliani moment.
I mean, it was it was about talking about what the causes of 9-11 were.
And of course, over by whole career, I mean, you know,
talking about the response to 9-11 and the Terror Wars is probably the issue that I'm most branded with.
And for a reason.
And so anyway, for all these reasons, it's kind of interesting to me.
And then it's just, I got lost in a lot of footage of 2001.
And just me and you were talking in the green room about what the, you know,
just kind of like what the 90s felt like, even though it was,
2001, it was still kind of the 90s before 9-11.
And just, you know, you just kind of think about like what a different country that was,
how you used to live in that country, how much our country's changed since then,
in many negative ways.
And I don't know.
So anyway, I say all of this, Rob, I noticed this 9-11, and I've never seen this really before.
I should, let me, I haven't seen this since the very beginning, the first 9-11s after the first one.
where there was actually an attempt by several high-profile people to not only kind of like reclaim
some type of ownership over the memory of 9-11, but in actual attempt, and we're going to get
into this very blatantly, to kind of rehabilitate the global war on terrorism and argue that
actually we were justified in this response, or actually that, you know, the youngsters
are all mixed up about who the good guys and the bad guys actually are.
And it was almost like, you know, I remember at the very beginning, you know, I remember on September 11, 2001, and of course the period right after that, where people would really emotionally use 9-11 to argue for what were, you know, catastrophic policies.
It seemed to me, including some of the people who are out here trying to rehabilitate that, they would have admitted in the subsequent years that obviously we all learned the lesson that these wars were terrible.
But now they are actually attempting, something I have not seen before on an anniversary of 9-11, to rehabilitate the whole thing.
And so, of course, Rob, I think that's worth us responding to and smacking this down because this cannot stand.
But any thoughts you have on any of that stuff?
I'm curious to hear.
I mean, it's a wild full circle while the Iran war is going on.
Everyone's mad about the Iran war.
The exact piece of evidence for, hey, we should not get into this war because we just had 20 years of failed wars that, uh,
resulted terribly to now be trying to turn around and go the other direction with it of,
no, actually Bush was great, which I haven't actually heard anyone say that. You can't say that
what we did was great without praising Bush. No one wants to go that far. Hey, guys, we were wrong about
Dick Cheney all these years. You're not going to see them start saying that, but they want to
they want to go with the counterfactual of, hey, we've actually been safe for 25 years here.
Maybe that whole thing was a big win. Yes, Rob. And the reason, dude, you're so spot on. And the
reason why they won't mention Dick Cheney. The reason why they won't mention George W. Bush
Rob is because then you start thinking about the specific shit that those guys did.
And that doesn't really work. So what we've got to do is think a lot about 9-11, yada, yada,
now that you're all emotional, we're the good guys, they're the bad guys again, right?
Now, I will say, I remember, you know, I've actually spent more so than your average 9-11,
this anniversary. I really spent a lot of time watching kind of old stuff. Like I was watching like,
Letterman's first show after 9-11 and like all these different kind of vibe.
And you're just like remembering the actual tone and the way people talked.
And I admit, dude, Letterman's first show back, the whole thing is just praising Rudy Giuliani
about what a hero he is.
And man, people are so electric.
They're just so wanted to hear that.
Again, no one can even point to the specific thing that Mayor Hero did.
He was just kind of there.
But we were emotional.
Actually, if you want to go look back at what Mayor Giuliani did, hey, you want a 9-11
conspiracy that'll throw you for one, poof.
Go look at how he removed the control center or he moved the control center to the 9-11 area when fucking everyone warned against it.
And this was part of the reason why the response was so messed up and so many firefighters died that day.
It's actually real interesting if you want to dig into that.
Anyway, it didn't matter.
We were just emotional.
Okay, but like I say this is someone who lived through that 9-11, the real the 9-11 and somebody who's also alive today.
There's a big fat excuse for being emotional on September 12th.
2001. There is zero excuse to try to like to try to do that in 2026. You know what I'm saying?
Like like the blat what we're about to watch like the blatant propaganda of it all like for them to
try to get you to shut your brain off because this tragedy happened and only focus on that
and therefore we're righteous. I'm sorry, go ahead. I was going to say I was just thinking when you
were saying that they're yada yada yada yada yada over apart it's a little bit of the alan dershowitz
argument with the iran war he doesn't like this iran war he likes the concept of an iran war
and so all these people that are talking about uh combating terrorism they're not really
endorsing how we combat a terrorism but they do like the theoretical concept of combating
terrorism in our country being safe yeah yeah no that's right i i think also a big part of this
because we're going to play too close there's one from jeremy boring uh the the former CEO of
the Daily Wire, there's one from Bilmar. I think we'll do the Billmar one first, because this is the one
that's going super viral, although in some ways the boring one is more infuriating. But part of this,
too, is that, as you pointed out, which was really, you know, the perfect point to me, is that, like,
this isn't happening in a vacuum. This happens while currently, we are fighting the most unpopular
war in American history. And, Rob, the idea of trying to remove this war in Iran from the global
war on terrorism as if this is not a continuation is i mean i how do you say it's so laughable i mean
literally guys go back and watch go watch the clips of benjamin net njahoo go read his his piece in
the new york times and you can read his op ed that i think he wrote in the um i think it was in the
wall street journal from from 2000 either early 2002 or late 2001 and you can look at every single
interview every single immediately after nine eleven the message he
here is radical Islamic terror and the states who support them. They couldn't do this without the
states. And the states are Iraq and Iran. The states are Iraq and Iran. Oh, and don't forget about
Hezbollah. Have you guys heard about the Palestinians? That's really the center of your 9-11 terrorism.
I mean, it's just blatant, like so obvious. And Rob, oh, the other news, which we may not even have
time to talk about today, maybe for tomorrow, is what? But that there's unrest in Syria going on
right now. Was that not part of the global war on terrorism? Oh, yeah. That's also the current
war in Iran has led to massive increases in energy prices in Syria, where we toppled the government
and put al-Qaeda in charge. So now there is unrest in a country ruled by al-Qaeda. Anyway, so yes,
this is, we're in a moment, this is all tied to the global war on terrorism. And we're going to
get into this Bill Maher clip first here. And it seems to me that the spirit of this clip is almost
like, man, you know, 25 years later, these youngsters are so confused to even be asking the question
whether we're the good guys or the bad guys in this whole fight, whether our government,
whether it's as simple as we are over here the good guys and they are these savage Muslims
and there should be no question. Like, like, they're crazy to question that when in reality,
anybody, anybody who's just being honest and looking at this,
will at least come to the conclusion that, like, it's not so black and white.
All right, guys, let's take a moment and thank our sponsor for today's show,

Bodybrain coffee.com, promo code Dave 20 for 20% off.
All right, let's get back on the show.
There's a whole lot of aggression to go around here.
A whole lot of innocent people have been killed on all sides.
at the very least, you'd admit that.
Anything else you want to say before we get in
or you want to jump into the clip, Rob?
No, let's watch Billy Moore.
Billy Marr, here you go.
No rule since it's the 25th anniversary
of 9-11, and since for 25 years,
we've been kept relatively safe
from anything close to another 9-11.
How about a hand to the Americans
who made that happen?
Okay, let's pause it right there.
Let's already pause it right there.
Now, that is a...
a hell of a frame job, Rob.
I mean, that is some masterful framing to start a thing.
Like, okay, first of all, if you're going to say that the, whatever, the, there hasn't been
another 9-11, okay?
Like, that is true.
There has not been another 9-11.
Let me get into that in a second.
You notice, like, what they don't say, Rob is there hasn't been another terrorist attack.
Now, they're not going to say that because if you were to say there hasn't been another terrorist attack, people might start going like, well, I mean, there was that bombing in the marathon, and there was the San Bernardino shooting, and there was the Fort Hood shooting, and there was the, like, if you actually start getting into, like, how many terrorists, like, if you were to actually sit here, right, obviously, in terms of all of the radical Islam terrorist attacks, 9-11 is obviously the aberration.
which is also part of why it leads to so many conspiracies.
They never before or since pulled off anything like that.
But if you just look at, say, like, Al-Qaeda or ISIS-inspired terrorist attacks
or terrorist attacks from Islamists who were motivated by U.S. foreign policy or something like that,
actually, no, there's been a ton since 9-11.
You just got to ignore all of them in order to pretend it hasn't happened.
And, in fact, if you wanted to look at that compared to, like, the rate in the 90s,
Like, what did they pull off in the 90s, Rob?
They bombed the African embassy.
They had one of those.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, they had a few things, but I actually think they pulled off more since then.
Also, Rob, one more detail here.
And I'll stop and you can go off for a little bit.
But if these agencies get credit for another 9-11 not happening after 9-11,
did they get any of the blame for 9-11 happening on 9-11?
Do you know what our intelligence budget was?
was for the year that before 2001, maybe like $40, 50 billion a year.
What was the military budget?
What was the Pentagon budget?
Hundreds of billions of dollars a year?
For all of that money on a security force, they absolutely failed in the most massive
of ways.
And so if they get the credit for not failing again in that way, do they get any of the
blame?
Do they get any of the blame for that day?
This seems like an unfair standard.
Also, like very little things like, and I,
promise, this is my last point, Rob, I turn it off for you. Very little things that have nothing
to do with government policy essentially ensured that another 9-11 isn't going to happen.
And the reason why another 9-11 isn't going to happen for one primary reason is that, and people
may not remember this, but the common knowledge, the rule of thumb about hijacked airplanes back
then before 9-11 was give them what they want until we land the plane.
That was what everyone thought. No one thought we're going to use the plane.
these planes as missiles to go into a building and we're all going to die anyway but kill a whole lot
more people. And if that was the case, there's no way to get 60 or 90 people on a plane to just go to the
back of the plane, which is evidently what they did. So like the thing's not going to happen without any
intelligence agency again. Something else might happen, but not this. So already, Bill Maher's like
five seconds in and he's such a fraud. Your thoughts, Rob. I mean, all accurate points, the line that I
really pick up on was his round of applause for those that have keeping us safe. It's like,
no one's against us being safe. And as I had already pointed out, he's not going round of applause
for Bush, round of applause for Cheney, round of applause for the war in Iraq, round of applause for what
happened in Afghanistan, round of applause for Guantanbo Bay. He's not talking to any of the specifics.
He's just going with the larger theoretical idea of that people in government have kept us safe
from terrorism, which you and I would both support,
and is probably largely a border patrol issue,
which you can even look at 9-11 as an example of that.
But it's just, it's a great way to start the segment to just go,
hey, guys, let's give it up to everyone in government that kept us safe.
Yeah, just and without, of course, having to demonstrate that like,
oh, here's where there would have been another 9-11,
but then the NSA did this and that, anyway, here, let's keep playing.
because it didn't just happen.
There was a war on terror and we won.
And yet so much has changed since 9-11.
For example, back then, we were against the terrorists.
All right.
Just keep pause it.
Pause it right here.
So, of course, there was the yada, yada, there was a war on terror and we won.
Like, where?
Which theater?
You just point to the theater.
Where was it that we won?
Okay, in Iraq, we toppled Saddam's secular government, the Ba'athist party.
Or, I mean, completely secular government.
We toppled Saddam's government that was not involved with al-Qaeda at all.
A bathist Sunni who hated the al-Qaeda guys.
There were no al-Qaeda in Iraq.
We toppled that government, and it led to al-Qaeda in Iraq, the creation of them.
Al-Qaeda, before 9-11, bin Laden and al-Qaeda were like a few hundred guys.
By the height of the global war on terrorism, the caliphate had taken over huge swaths of Syria and Iraq.
And yes, it got rolled back, but largely by Putin and the U.S. military and the locals of the areas and lots of different forces.
But they, I mean, did we win in Libya?
Was that where we won?
Was it in Syria where the Emir of al-Qaeda now runs the country?
Like, give me the theater.
Where did we win this global war on terrorism?
I mean, we certainly, I could point to the costs very obviously.
I guess it just doesn't even matter how many people died in any of these conflicts or how much we spent,
but there is no win to speak of.
I don't know.
It's like he would never try to argue that any single one of those theaters was a win,
but somehow you put them all together and it equals a win.
Well, I guess he's just standing on the counterfactual of no 9-11 since 9-11.
9-11. Would have been worse or something. All right, here, let's keep playing.
Really? No cap. Now, a lot of media outlets don't even want you to say the T-word on the 20th anniversary
for American journalism associations put out guidance that said that terrorism should only be used in quotes
because it's emotionally and politically loaded. Yes, so is the World Cup, but we don't put soccer in quotes.
Really? We can't.
just say out loud who the bad guys were that morning?
Those 19 hijackers?
They shared something.
Oh, let's call it a worldview.
And it wasn't astrology.
But somehow over time, we've decided not to harp on that,
the whole business about who wanted us dead and why.
Let's not put a name on it.
When it comes to terrorist attacks, please,
there are very fine people on both sides.
Here, let's pause it right here.
Canadian...
Just is there... I mean, look,
the one thing he's sourced there is that some Canadian newspaper had a stupid rule about quoting terrorism for some gay-ass liberal reason.
Like, okay, that's dumb.
But to pretend that the argument here, like, look, I'm not saying you can't find one dumb leftist on TikTok who said a dumb thing.
But to pretend the argument here is that anyone's saying that, like, the terrorists were good.
That was great what they did.
Oh, man, there's something about the sound of planes smashing into.
innocent people, Rob, that we sure do like.
Is that actually the position that you're taking on here?
Because no one has that position.
More like the position is that, like, it's not that these hijackers weren't bad people.
And it was that, obviously, it wasn't okay to kill innocent people.
Aside from the fact that a huge swath of the population just doesn't believe the official
story of 9-11.
But I think other than that, the point is that, okay, what the U.S. military would
doing to these countries was also savage and barbaric, and it's very predictable that some
people would want to kill some of yours after you've killed so many of theirs. And then in response
to this attack, we started a whole bunch of wars against people who had nothing to do with 9-11
and slaughtered, you know, 100x, a thousand X times as many people has died on 9-11. I don't
know. I'm not good at math. But what is there? A few thousand people died on 9-11, and we killed like
four million people as a response to that. To question whether that's, it's just such a
given that that's okay is not the same thing as saying terrorism is great, obviously.
In fact, Rob, what have I always been saying?
I'm not saying we shouldn't use the word terrorism to describe al-Qaeda.
I'm just saying we should also use it to describe Benjamin Netanyahu and George W. Bush
and Barack Obama.
That's all.
All right, guys, let's take a moment and thank our sponsor for today's show, which is
my Patriot Supply.

right now visit prepare like dave.com and build your 90 days of real food security prepare like dave
com all right let's get back into the show uh all right just right off the bat it's incredible how bad
these jokes are it drives me absolutely nuts to have a false premise about uh something that took
place in canada as if that's happening across the globe and then using that to set up a bunch of
Just terrible jokes.
But what he's doing here, which is really dishonest, is you and I will agree.
There was a movement, for example, to pretend that, you know, people who are transitioning were actually of that other gender.
And we saw a bunch of woke nonsense of trying to pretend reality wasn't reality.
And we can agree with Bill Maher that when people try and pretend non-reality is reality, such as wearing a mask is going to keep you safe from a virus,
that it gets in the way of people making educated decisions and us improving.
society. So in terms of the premise of that woke and pretending something isn't what it is,
I agree, 100%. We have not had that in regards to terrorism. That has not happened over the last
20 years. What we have had is a disagreement over what's going on in Gaza and who might be
the more aggressive party over there. And since he is of the worldview of those are terrorists and
Israel's a nation, he's trying to extend that situation in his worldview as if people have also looked
as al-Qaeda terrorists as actually being a noble party or someone that we the oppressed that we
shouldn't call them terrorists no such academic conversation has ever taken place yeah he's actually
being the woke one right now because this does not exist in our reality yeah and and in fact
again if you notice none of them ever can get down into the mud and actually make the argument
like if you're saying we're the good guys and they're the bad guys then okay let's get into that
What is it specifically that makes them bad?
Very clear.
Don't mince words, right?
Like, because again, look, if I were to say to one of the hawks, let's say all I looked at,
I said, all you need to know about who the good guys and the bad guys are here is one drone
bomb that hit this wedding, okay?
One drone bomb that Barack Obama sent to this wedding.
He knew it was a wedding.
He thought there was one suspect there, and he killed 40 people because he thought there was one
guy who might have been part of al-Qaeda.
Like, that is murdered, dude.
He just murdered all these people.
And that's it.
That's how you know who's good and who's bad.
So therefore the West is bad and the Muslims are good.
Okay, what would be the problem with that sloppy-ass thinking?
Like any hawk would point out, okay, but you can't only look at this one strike.
You also got to look at the fact that like 9-11 happened, and you also got to look at the fact
that they've been terrorists.
And you also got, okay, fine.
But if that's true, then it also applies the other way.
Then it also goes, you can't just look at 9-11.
You have to also look at what was the U.S. military policy toward the Muslim world before 9-11.
What were their objections?
Are any of them legitimate?
You know, anyway, this is common sense shit.
Here, let's keep playing.
In-state TV told its reporters,
do not refer to the September 11th attacks as terrorist attacks.
No?
Even though the very definition of terrorism is using violence against civilians to pursue ideological goals,
pause it right there.
Pause it right there.
Hold on.
Pause it right there and don't take the screen off.
Like, what do you think about this right now?
Bill Maher just offered a definition of terrorism.
Bill Maher, the intentional use of violence by non-state actors against civilians in pursuit of political or ideological objectives.
Now, is there anything in this definition that doesn't apply to the U.S. military or the IDF other than the word non-state?
Pull it back up for a second, Natalie?
I want you to honestly tell me, Rob, if any of this, besides the word non-state, which, okay, if you get that in there,
So all you're saying is because we're a government and you're not a government, we're good.
Like that's if you only, if that's all you have, you don't have much of an argument.
And aside from the word non-state, which I'll grant that like Hamas is not a state or al-Qaeda is not a state, even though Israel, in fact, with Hamas, that's the whole beef.
But I'll grant their non-state actors.
But violence, okay, the use of violence against civilians in pursuit of a political objective.
Well, Rob, what is a bombing campaign?
What is the shame? Now, if you want to get into, no, no, no, no, it has to be intentionally used against the civilians.
Well, that's, first of all, like, okay, fine. But, Rob, we've dealt with this a million times.
That word intentional isn't a problem. Look, dude, you launch a war of choice and you know a whole bunch of people are going to die in the process.
Then you intentionally did that. If you hit a wedding because you think there's one suspect there.
If you want to say there are acts in war where we meant to hit this coordinate that was a military coordinate and we accidentally hit a little girl's school, fine, maybe you can.
could call that like involuntary manslaughter or keep that in some other separate category.
But in terms of like the overwhelming action that sanctions campaigns, that bombing campaigns,
that acts of war are where they target a civilian population by this definition that that,
that, that Bill Maher is laid out, why would the destruction of Gaza or the destruction of Baghdad
or the destruction of Libya? Why would those not count as state terrorists?
You tell me what I'm missing, Rob.
Yeah, no, I picked up on the big word there is non-state, which is a nice close circle that a state or a military can engage in the exact same activities.
It's just if you haven't declared yourself.
By the way, even if you become a state, they'll declare that you're a state sponsor of terrorism or that you're a terrorist state.
So it's not even a fair criteria because now all of a sudden, if you are a terrorist state, you're a terrorist state.
So I guess that it doesn't matter.
And we do that too.
And we give weapons to terrorist organization.
We give money to terrorist organizations.
Again, while Benjamin Netanyahu is himself calling everyone else a state sponsor of terrorism,
he's the one who funded Hamas.
He's the state sponsor of terror.
So again, there's just, if you're going to say things like, remember, we are the good guys
and they are the bad guys.
Like, okay.
Again, Rob, I'm actually not against that, but give me the objective standard.
Like in one sense, if you were going to say, well, hey, we are better than them because, like, in our culture, we respect property rights and we respect, like, freedom and we have, you know, or something like that.
Yeah, but totally makes sense of why I'd rather live here than there.
But if you're going to say you're talking about this conflict, you're talking about attacks from them against us and attacks from us against them and you're just going to say, we're the good guys, then you're going to have to actually have an argument for that.
Sorry, again, like, sorry if this makes people emotional.
I know on some level people want to be like, yeah, we're number one.
But let's have a real conversation like adult men here.
All right, let's keep playing.
The passenger?
A wrong turn taken at the Chrysler building.
Why not you say the planes and the towers got into a fight?
Just pause it so far.
Like, I think so far, the only point Bill Maher has been.
made is that 9-11 was terrorism and they though the al-Qaeda isn't good so okay i concur let's keep
playing i mean after all as the bbc advised its reporters using the word at terrorist can be a quote
barrier rather than an aid to understanding you know what's really a barrier to understanding
lying back on a civil terrorist back in 2001 after the attack
I said this. Political correctness itself is something we can no longer afford.
Feelings are going to get hurt so that actual people won't.
Well, it didn't last. I mean, my show.
As for the idea of ditching political correctness and actually being honest, that never even got off the ground.
After 9-11, there was a big debate. Was this a clash of civilizations?
It was, and it still is.
Not between Muslims and Christians.
No reasonable person was saying that.
But radical Islamism versus Western liberalism, yes, that's a real thing.
Fighting people who hate freedom of religion.
Again, just pause it for a second.
Gina, I mean, just think about for a second how profoundly dishonest it is to say that, okay, look, it's not Christians versus Muslims.
It's radical Islam versus Western liberalism.
as if that's what's in this fight.
Liberalism, Rob.
They hit us for our freedom.
What do we mean?
That's what, yeah, what do we mean by liberalism?
I don't know.
Some vague thought about the Enlightenment, perhaps.
It's, it's Osama bin Laden against free speech.
And it's Osama bin Laden against, I don't know, what, like the Magna Carta or something.
Like that's, or when really, obviously, the comparison would be the brutality of U.S.
militarism versus radical Islamic terrorism.
Like, if you want to have a conversation about this, but what, we are to pretend that the
former doesn't exist?
Are those big metal machines of death that we send over to the Middle East that drop
explosives all over human beings?
Like, that is just, we're not allowed to, what, factor that in?
That level of human suffering, which, objectively speaking, dwarfs by orders of magnitude,
anything that the American people have suffered.
That just can't enter the conversation.
It's as if that doesn't exist, Rob.
It's not, you know, the military presence in Saudi Arabia
and the brutal sanctions campaigning against Iraq
that killed hundreds of thousands of people
and the brutal military occupation of Palestine
by the Israelis, funded by the U.S.
None of that.
It's like, you know, like a girl reading a book at the library,
versus Osama bin Laden.
Now you tell me who's the good guy there, Rob.
Have I done anything here?
What do you?
I mean, like, why not?
We could switch that around
and just like talk about like a girl in the Middle East
or something like that versus the U.S. military.
I don't know.
This is silly.
Anyway, here's some more Bill Maher propaganda.
We'll get to boring soon.
Tools and hate the idea of women as equal and free humans.
How did liberals wind up on their side?
and many did. One in five young Americans now has a positive view of Osama bin Laden. He's like
Luigi Mangione in a turban. You hear it in a lot of places now that the worst thing about 9-11
was innocent Muslims came under suspicion. Yeah, where that did happen, it's wrong. But the
worst thing about 9-11 was 3,000 people got roasted at the office. But the prevailing view of so many
young people is that, well, come on, we're the worst country ever. So if someone attacks us,
that can't be all bad. That certainly wasn't the attitude 25 years ago. In fact, I know a guy
whose show got canceled just for saying the terrorist warrant cowards. Can you stop? I'm sorry.
Yeah. It's just a bunch of lines that are driving me nuts. The argument is not, hey, if someone's
attack attacks us, we're bad. The argument is, hey, let's not go around the world fucking up
other people's shit because it gives them a reason to attack us. And it's making us less
safe. And there's a big difference there. It's not justifying when people engage in terrorism.
It's just saying maybe there's a better strategy to prevent terrorism, which includes not
pissing these people off. And by not pissing these people off, it doesn't mean not getting
retribution. It means not doing, you know, active things to instigate and to look at what
blowback theory is that if you're going to then also try and clamp down on these people,
you might create more future terrorists. That's not a justification for their actions. It's a
it's a completely different statement.
Dude, you know, it's funny.
I've had a few different people.
I believe it was Coleman Hughes, I think, said this to me when I debated him.
And I think there's a couple other people who have said similar things to me over the years
where they've said things like where I'll say something along the lines of like,
yeah, but put yourself in the position of someone in Gaza, you know, like making whatever point
I'm making.
Like to you, you know, Netanyahu's Adolf Hitler.
I mean, he's the one who killed your mother and your sister, you know, like he's.
And I remember Coleman said this.
A few other people have said something similar, where they go, yeah, even if I put myself in that perspective,
I would, I might be mad at the IDF, but I'd also be mad at my own leadership.
You know, I'd also be mad at Hamas for doing October 7th that then caused this attack.
I'd also be mad at Arafat for not taking this deal at all.
So like in other words, their position is that as somebody in Gaza over the last three years,
while I'm in a living hell and I'm holding my, you know, the part of my baby that I just recovered from this building.
and my wife's already been killed and my life has been destroyed.
I'm supposed to in that moment have the presence of mind to go,
you know, my leadership is somewhat responsible for this too.
Yet, me and you, Rob, sitting over here in a first world country
in air-conditioned studios with all the luxuries in the world,
having no immediate threat to our loved ones and no immediate threat to our own safety.
We and Bill Maher, the guy worth $100 million and has been forever,
we can't sit here and go, hey, what role, if any, did,
leadership have in provoking this attack? What response did we have to this? If we're going to be,
which we should rightfully be, but if we are going to be so appalled at the loss of 3,000 innocent
people, how can we just yada, yada? Notice it doesn't even come up in Bill Maher's thing here. It's
not even a thought. We're talking about the response to 9-11 and the global war on terrorism.
We have killed millions of innocent people. Do you know how many 9-11s that is?
Like, it's just, it's insane that you just would, you shut this part of your brain off.
Then we're not having a real conversation.
Anyway, like this is true in any relationship.
Imagine like me and my wife are having some humongous fight.
And then at the end of it, we're going to sit down and go, okay, here's why I'm team good and your team bad.
And everything you did was wrong.
It's just like, it's too insane.

All right, let's get back into the show.
All right, let's play a little bit more of this before we switch to the next one.
And that guy was right.
they weren't cowards, but I'll tell you who is.
Democratic Party politicians, and I'll tell you why,
because nowhere has this moral confusion
become more obvious than in a place called Gaza,
a little strip of land that was not part of the original Israel,
but which they won in a war launched against them,
but then gave back, gave back.
Just pause it. Pose it right here.
Also, Bill Maher, I mean, he just does this shit, dude.
He's like lecturing young people.
Let me tell you a little something about this little place called Gaza.
Okay, Israel won it in a war launched against them and then they gave it back.
Hey, Rob, no, they didn't.
They're a fucking liar.
This is absolutely not true.
They wanted in the 1967 war that Israel launched.
This was a preemptive war.
By the way, Ben Shapiro and Dennis Prager and Monacham Began have all admitted this.
Monacquem Began called it a war of choice.
You know what Monacham Began is, right?
Rob, the peaceneck, lefty, Israeli.
Right, yes, the founder of the Lakud Party,
the fucking psychopath terrorist.
What was it?
He was the Lehi guy.
I can't remember which terrorist organization he worked for.
I think it was the Lehiihy.
Anyway, no, they launched a war against Egypt,
then Jordan jumped in, they won the war,
and then they just took Gaza.
But first of all, they launched the war against Egypt,
the Egyptian military.
nobody is even making a claim that the people of Gaza started the war.
And so because Israel launched a war against Egypt, I mean, don't get me wrong,
Egypt was like mobilizing their military.
But as Monachan Begin said, they didn't know that they were going to attack them.
And they didn't have to launch a war.
There were lots of other options there.
This is what Monachan Begin said, who I think was defense minister at the time.
No, no, no, no, that can't be right because it was what's his name was defense minister during the 67 war.
I'm sorry, I got that wrong.
sorry, I'm getting confused.
Anyway, but no, they launched a war against someone else,
then just took that territory.
And Rob, we've said this a million times.
They gave it back in 2005.
Yes, meaning they took down the settlements
and they removed the military occupation,
but they still controlled the borders,
the sea space, the airspace, the water, the electricity,
the tax revenue.
Like, no, they did not give it back.
So this is like, Bill Maher just,
first off, makes a claim that is objectively wrong.
Israel wasn't attacked in the 16th.
They launched the 67 war. It's a fact of history. And then just, you know, scoffs down at all these,
these guys. We can get off of this, but look here, the obvious point is like, Bill, you're going to
bring up Gaza and you're going to pretend that you can't possibly understand why the young people
after that aren't so convinced that we're the good guys and they're the bad guys and that's as
simple as it is. That's really what you've got here. All right. Okay, well, I've got a lie about history.
the lie about history, which, isn't it so insane, the Israeli lie is always, we tried to give you away.
It's like a slave owner, like, insisting that he offered his slave freedom once 20 years ago,
and therefore it's totally morally justified that he enslaves the guy.
Like, what?
You don't, that's not something you offer once and then get credit for offering.
You're never allowed to enslave people.
You have to offer that every second of every day.
Like it's just it's so ridiculous, Rob, that this is actually an argument people use.
Go ahead.
Your thoughts.
Yeah.
Well, it's just the whole segment is so odd because I agree with him 100%.
Let's call things what they are.
But then he goes on to misrepresent what people are actually criticizing about the terror wars
and our foreign, you know, our foreign mishaps of launching all these wars.
Yeah, that's right.
Here, let's switch over to the Jeremy Boring one real quick.
because I wanted to make sure I addressed this just because, look, for people who don't know,
and it is an unfortunate name, but Jeremy Boring was the CEO of the Daily Wire from the beginning
to like their entire thing.
It was him and Ben Shapiro did Daily Wire together.
Now, they had some type of falling out, I think, and they don't like each other anymore because
that's what happens.
Really?
The two of them don't get along?
Yeah, well, this is what happens when really terrible people do things together.
It does come back to bite.
Yeah.
A bunch of baddy pitches.
I didn't even know that they weren't working together anymore.
But isn't it actually kind of perfect?
though. It's just like, yeah, because that's the quality of people. They are. Now they're like,
yeah, they're kind of, they don't talk anymore. Anyway, but so it's interesting because
one is, it does really reveal something that this is, and this is kind of the thing I got at
in this debate with Alan Dershowitz. I debated Alan Dershowitz the other day, or a week ago or something.
And I mean, look, whatever. It was, it was one of those. It was one of those. The reaction's
been pretty incredible. But the one, the big moment from the debate that everyone seemed
to like the most that went the most viral.
I mean, the whole thing was a one-sided beatdown.
I mean, he really just had nothing.
But there was one point where he spurged out and started calling me an anti-Semite
because I said he had disproportionate loyalty to a foreign country.
And then I just hit him with the example of how he left his lifelong political party
over this foreign country.
And man, that looked bad for him because it really is tough to say you left your lifelong
political commitment over one issue and then argue, what do you mean I'm devoted to that issue?
It's just too insane.
But this is what lets you know that, like, it actually isn't a conspiracy theory to think of people like
Alan Dershowitz as a fifth column who will be activated as in effect a foreign agent.
Because like that's what he is.
And you see this where like, oh, right.
So all the other bullshit that they pretend to be about, don't get it twisted.
This is all the Daily Wire was ever really about.
Right.
And this is the reason why, just how about this real clear?
Here's a real clear example.
Think about all the things that Ben Shapiro would claim to believe in, right?
Rob, thinking all the things he would have claimed to believe it.
He's an Orthodox Jew.
He's for free market capitalism.
He's against cultural degeneracy.
He's for fiscal sanity.
He's for a deregulated free economy.
He believes in a million different things, right?
And he would sit there and say, you know, dude, for someone to say that all I really care about is Israel or all I really care about is the wars,
First off, that's a lie.
It's an anti-Semitic conspiracy theory.
Of course, that's all the Jew cares about.
Okay, meanwhile, Ben Shapiro will sit down and have a friendly conversation with destiny.
Would he ever do that with me?
No, wait, wait, why is that?
Come on, guys, we all know the answer.
Why is that?
Even though, supposedly, on Ben Shapiro's worldview, I am just a way, not only way closer to him,
a way better person.
Like, just objectively.
I'm a guy who believes in God and loves his wife and is faithful to her and raises my kids.
I'm a guy who believes in free market economics, all that.
Then you have someone out here who would be, like, promoting, like, degeneracy and abortion.
And like the most from your worldview, a cartoon character of who would be like the most evil person.
But you're not really that exercised by him.
You know, you see a lot of hints like this all around.
Anyway, let's get.
So I saw this because, um,
That, who is that from the Babylon B.
I'm blaking on his name.
But he shared it.
Those guys are just, I mean, dude, they are the war.
I mean, listen, again, I never even, I never like go to the like $7,000 or like,
you're paid by that.
Yeah, who, like, I don't say I have no inside knowledge about any of this, but you're like,
you guys, you better be foreign agents.
I'd have less respect for you if you're not.
But these are guys who, by the way, would have, and people were pulling out old tweets of this
Babylon B guy.
guy. I really am blaking on his name. I'm not trying to. One of them is Seth Dillon, but it's not him.
It's the other guy. It's the other guy whose name I can't remember. But he, so he used to claim,
huh? Queer face aid butts. Something like that. So he, uh, he used to claim, like a lot of these guys,
like the Gunther Eagleman clip, they used to be right with me, 2004. Yeah, no new wars. That's why
you got to support Donald Trump. Yeah, where's the deep state. Kamala Harris is going to get you
into more wars and then flipped on a fucking dime to support this shit.
Now they want to go back and say this.
No, Jeremy Boring is actually going to be way more blatant than Bill Maher is here, of course.
So here, let's go to that clip.
Through our global war on terror veterans and the families of those who lost their lives
in that conflict, I say only this.
Thank you.
The global war on terror was a virtuous war in defense of American interests.
It sought to avenge 3,000 of our fellow citizens who were murdered on our own soil,
to pursue justice for them and their loved ones,
to deter further attacks by the vultures who were circling and believed we could never recover from such a wound.
I'm sorry, this is, you know, his thing was he always wanted to be an actor.
He always wanted to be like in Hollywood.
As you can see, this is, he thinks he's got his big opportunity here.
Hey, wow, Jeremy, riveting performance.
And thank you for invoking all of those dead people and standing on this.
their memory.
Who did 9-11?
I'm sorry.
Was this Saddam Hussein's Iraq?
No, no, no.
Omar Gaddafi's Libya.
Must have been Bashar al-Assad over in Syria.
I think it was those Houthis in Yemen.
Was it any of them?
Oh, no, no, no, that's right.
It was the regime in Somalia who we've been bombing for 24 years.
Nope, not them either, huh?
Well, it must have been those dirty Palestinians.
Good thing we destroyed Gaza.
Was it Hezbollah who were bombin and sat like in this global war on terrorism?
How many people who didn't do 9-11 are you allowed to kill in the name of 9-11?
I'm sorry, I know you're in the middle of this very emotional thing and you're thinking about all those people.
I'm just wondering how many people who had absolutely nothing to do with those people dying,
are you morally allowed to murder in the name of those people who died?
Now, by the way, I left, you know, Afghanistan out of there because, you know, okay, look, there were al-Qaeda bases.
in Afghanistan. Now, if you want to argue that we're allowed to fight a 20-year regime-change war
against the Taliban because they were the landlord to al-Qaeda, I think that's a pretty
ridiculous claim. But by the way, you lost that war. So you lost that one, and the Taliban still
runs al-Qaeda, plus they got, like, you know, insane amounts of our weaponry. So what on earth
are you talking about? Mr. Fax don't care about your feelings. All you seem to have here are
feelings. How do you feel, Rob?
Let's watch some more of this.
All right, let's keep playing.
And it sought to project our power into that part of the world where our enemies had plotted
and schemed against us.
It did so imperfectly.
Oh, he did so imperfectly.
By the way, I'd love the precision there, Rob.
Listen, when you are attacked in war, you have every right to respond to that part of the
world. You know, I remember thinking, you know, as I heard the story of World War II and the crimes
of Adolf Hitler, I just thought, get Europe. You know, like maybe you miss and you just take
out Sweden or something like that. But we have every right to project our power into that part
of the world. We divide the, this is what happens. If there's a terrorist attack, you divide the
world into four quadrants. And anything in the quadrant that the terrorism came.
from his fair game like what is that project our power into that part of the world for u.s
interests whole lot of vague shit to say start wars uh of choice wars of aggression based all sold
on lies against people who had nothing to do with 9-11 that was the beef that we had all right guys

All right. Let's get back into the show. It's also the projecting power is stated like it's some
amazing noble goal. And there's some quote of power projection that needs to happen at all time.
Yeah, Rob, can you just, since you adjusted your shirt, you sound way, way lower. Can you just move the mic over a
little bit? I might have lost my microphone, actually. Oh, maybe that's what happens. I might have to get fully
undressed on camera and find this microphone.
The audience is about to get a...
Rob, can you just...
Can you take your pants off and say that again?
The audience is about to get a real
show here.
You were on project power.
The idea that projecting power is just good.
Well, getting undressed on camera, that's what's good.
Yeah, they say projecting power like it's some
amazing noble goal or that we need
some constant quota met of power
projection. You know, it's a better goal.
is making our lives fucking awesome and not spending money all over the world and showcasing
that freedom can really work out and that we can live great lifestyles over here.
And you know what else you could do to project power is grow the shit out of your economy
and have a lot of technological developments that if somebody wants to mess with you, you've
got all the resources in the world to go ahead and take them on.
But the idea that you just have to go around the world and blow shit up so that other people
are afraid of you comes right back to what we've been talking about, which is when you do
that people are pretty mad at you and then you actually get yourself into messes of long wars
of what we got going on in iran right now where you're flirting with disasters and you showcase
hey we're not actually that powerful and you create more enemies for no reason how about uh
how about stick over here and make shit great yeah it's it's i mean it's just unbelievable too too
just like projecting it just sounds like um it almost sounds something like something tim allen would say
like if his wife caught him in a home improvement project that was going terribly wrong.
Like, well, I'm projecting power.
Oh, that's easy.
Okay.
Yeah, after a disastrous war that you lie us into and then you tell us how it's going to go and
you're completely wrong and it doesn't go that way at all.
And it's just a catastrophe and all these people that we were projecting power.
Okay.
This is supposed to be intelligent or something?
All right.
Let's keep playing.
God, how imperfectly.
There was political propaganda.
There was political miscalculation.
There was political betrayal.
There was corporate greed and naive idealism and cynical manipulation.
It was a bloody, expensive exercise and human imperfection because we are imperfect.
And the gains you bled for were temporary because all human achievement is temporary.
But the West is not in trouble because of the global war on terror.
The West is in trouble because we've forgotten why we fought the global war on terror.
Because politicians gave us.
away the victories that you secured and then spent years undermining those victories in exchange
for cheap political wins.
But that's not the soldiers.
Just pause it.
Yes.
Go ahead, Rob.
The wars were sold on lies.
And then we had to leave those territories because we were kind of unsuccessful.
We finally left Afghanistan 20 years later.
I mean, according to him, why do we leave?
We were just given up the victory.
We should have held out there longer.
Are we supposed to still have troops in Iraq to this day?
we just gave up the victory.
I guess we're supposed to conquer territories
and spend money there indefinitely,
according to his worldview,
and the fact that we left these areas
and finally cut our losses after 20 years
was us giving up our victories.
Yeah.
You know, and forget the fact,
which probably this is the one that we should make the most of,
is that people like Ben Shapiro and Jeremy Boring
claim to be deeply religious people,
and you would think that people who claim to be deeply religious
would have some type of more,
moral hang up over the millions of innocent people that died.
Again, Rob, we're not talking about like, hey, there was a military action and there's a
cost to it, that there was some cost of life, but we believe it saved more life than it
cost.
You're looking at wars where like millions of people died, and there's just, you're like,
God damn, man, there's just no reason to think that there's any scenario where millions
of people would have died because we didn't fight the war in Iraq or even Afghanistan or any
of them.
And so, yeah, you got a big problem there, I think, morally.
But how about just, Rob?
also they pretend to be fiscal conservatives.
This is like one of the things that they claim is their big beef.
And like you think the $10 trillion we blew on these wars didn't weaken us?
That's like no big deal.
Any idea how much wealth that is for a government to just rob out of his people?
Do you know what that is to do that to a people to extort $10 trillion of wealth away from them?
Think about the fact that this is more wealth than most countries.
is like more than the GDP of most entire nations combined together. It's an insane amount of wealth
that was just stolen and absolutely wasted. This doesn't even fuck with you at all. And what you,
you can yada yada your way out of wars sold off lies that killed a bunch of people by giving me
some list of like, you know, asking yourself easy questions and then answering them. Was it perfect? No.
Were mistakes made? Yes. Was there corporate greed? Yeah. In other.
words, was their corporate greed? Yes, in other words, weapons companies profited to the tune of
trillions of dollars off of babies dying, torturous deaths. Huh. Okay. I just got to restate it,
the idea of don't remember why we fought these wars. Well, I remember why we fought the Iraq war,
and that's because they lied to us about weapons of mass destruction and Saddam Hussein's,
yeah, Hussein's involved in a 9-11. I guarantee, positive.
I guarantee positive reverberations will spread throughout the region.
Was the exact quote from Benjamin Netanyahu in 2002 when he testified before Congress.
Am I remembering well enough?
Jeremy Boring?
Is that the type of remembering you wanted?
Was it the remember, like when we were promised that Gaddafi was about to go genocidal?
Was that?
Should we remember that?
Let's really remember every single claim they made about.
every single one of these wars and how they were all lives.
All right, let's keep, let's let's let Jeremy finish up.
Story.
That's the politician's story.
Let them have it.
Stop letting them lay those failures on the backs of you and your fellow soldiers.
You didn't fight for evil and you didn't fight for nothing.
Your friends didn't die for evil and your friends didn't die for nothing.
The men whose names you have tattooed on your arms deserve not only be remembered by you,
but to be honored by you too, especially.
today. Don't let the online grifters monetizing your pain make you believe otherwise. Truly,
they will have their reward. May they choke on it. You served honorably. The wars in which you
served were honorable. The wars weren't a lie. The interests were real. The cause was just.
The mistakes were the ordinary mistakes of fallen human beings doing impossible things under
impossible pressure. They don't retroactively erase the morality of what you did.
I mean, Rob, it's literally nothing but an appeal to emotion.
It's funny, like people on the Daily Wire side,
they'll criticize me of appealing to emotion because I bring up the fact that so many, like,
kids die in a war.
And I'll have to point out to them that that's not actually what an appeal to emotion is.
That's just an appeal to morality, which is a totally reasonable thing to do when you talk
about war.
But this is blatantly just an appeal to emotion.
Remember your buddy.
Remember the sacrifice.
Remember his name was tattooed on you.
Don't let them blame him.
Rob, who is blaming the soldier who got tricked into this shit?
Who, who is it that's gone out there and said, the war on terrorism, the global war on terrorism
was an absolute disaster.
It was evil.
It was sold off lies.
And you know who I blame?
Your buddy John, who bought into the propaganda and joined the army and went over there.
No, we're blaming the politicians who lied us into these conflicts, okay?
We're blaming the top.
That's who we're blaming.
And you're sitting here running cover for them.
Tell me if I'm wrong.
Have you ever heard chance of your buddy was a war criminal?
Or do we say George W. Bush and Dick Cheney and Condoleezza Rice were war criminals?
Anyway, it's all just like for him to try to go back.
And this is what these guys are.
This is what they're actually here to do, to try to go back and rehabilitate the most disastrous policy in modern American history.
And the nerve of these people who think they're any better than the socialists.
The nerve of you to think you're any better than the socialist.
You are socialist.
The military is socialism, by the way.
Anyone ever tell Jeremy boring that?
It's socially.
You stand for socialism, just only the socialism of death.
You object to all the malinvestment in the socialism of providing health care,
which, by the way, we do too.
There's a whole lot of malinvestment in that.
But you have no problem with the military,
which has all the malinvestment of Medicare,
plus the added bonus of murdering babies.
All right, I got a...
The Daily Wire.
for murdering babies.
I got to get the hell out of here, but
all right, Rob, you get out of here.
I want to make one more point before we wrap up.
Well, here, I'll make one more point solo on this.
But I did just have to before we wrap up.
I had to address the final point that Jeremy Boring makes there at the end,
which is that, which is what,
and don't let any of the online grifters fool you otherwise,
because that's all any of us could be who are opposing the war.
You know, it reminds, I was, if you remember, one time when I was debating Chris Cuomo, he said, he said something like that in the middle of the debate, oh, it made me so angry.
He shouldn't have said it too.
I just became more vicious.
But he said, if you remember at one point in the debate, that, like I said something and he had no response to it.
And he goes, you know what, dude, that's good for clicks on the internet.
But blah, blah, blah, or something.
And it just made me so angry that it's like, oh, that's all you can say is essentially you can attack my motivation.
I'm only in this for the money or something like that.
And it's particularly with the COVID stuff with Cuomo.
It's like, hey, man, it really didn't feel that way through 2020.
It really didn't feel that way through 2021.
It's just like now that we were proven right and the audience agrees with us.
Now you say it's easy.
But like Chris Cuomo, you took all those CNN checks.
You didn't seem to have a problem with that.
Anyway, my point with Jeremy Boring is it's like, how do you get to, that's what
that idiot Adam Sussnick said to me in the debate.
You're just doing this for clicks.
And I was like, dude, we're all in front of a camera right now.
Like Jeremy Boring, you're in front of a camera.
You're trying to get clicks.
Do you want more clicks or less clicks?
You want more, right?
Okay.
So what is that?
So you're just going to say, oh, the motives of anyone who's against the global war on terrorism
is that they just want clicks.
But the goal of anybody who's trying to rehabilitate the image of these catastrophic wars,
they could only be doing that out of the goodness of their heart or something like that.
Notice, not only is he trying to rehabilitate this thing in the face of this, the latest war in the global war on terrorism, which is in some ways a unique catastrophe even compared to the others.
He's trying to rehabilitate this image and he's coming with no argument, no argument, pure emotionalism and then a shot at the integrity of anyone who's against it.
Well, Jeremy Boring, okay, there's a reason why you weren't the frontman for Daily Wire.
There's a reason why you didn't make it in Hollywood like you wanted to.
and there's a reason why this shit ain't going to work.
As long as I got breath in my lungs,
I'm going to make sure I smack this shit down.
All right, that's our show for today.
Thank you guys very much.
Come out, Dallas at Fort Worth, this weekend.
Really looking forward to it,
ComicDavsmith.com,

hope to see some of you guys out there.
All right, have a good one.
Peace.
