What's up everybody welcome to a brand new episode of part of the problem I am Dave Smith
He is Robbie the fire Bernstein. How you feeling brother? I had another great weekend out on the road
How was that? It's great, dude. Yeah, I'm actually you know, it's funny
I was I was starting to feel burnt out and now I'm in a good rhythm from like
I don't know why I'm coming to the I think I'm done with summer know what's funny? I was starting to feel burnt out, and now I'm in a good rhythm from like,
I don't know why I'm coming to the,
I think I'm done with summer porches,
just porches tour year long, baby.
We're going to December this year.
No, you're doing winter porches?
Well, you just gotta keep to the West Coast.
You can do Arizona, you can do Vegas.
It stays hot till real late.
So I gotta start lining up the West Coast dates,
but we're going year round, baby.
I'll go down to Australia.
I'll just go where it's always summer
Hold on wait a second if you're not just doing summer porch tours, but you're just
Always on a porch at what point are you a hobo like where's the line?
I think when you can't afford plane tickets, and you start jumping trains
That is brought you're probably right about that Rob Rob will be flying to a porch near you.
Well that's great dude, I'm glad to hear
they're all going good.
I hear nothing but amazing feedback from these shows.
I'm telling you, all right, let me say this right now.
Yeah.
I wanna come do a porch with you.
I'd love to have it.
We can make that happen.
It's gotta be one that makes sense.
I kinda wanna be like a surprise guest.
I don't wanna do nothing.
I just wanna come do like 15 minutes on one porch,
somewhere where I can do that, where it makes sense.
The next time we got something that's Jersey local
and we can easily get you there and back
to just do 15 minutes and have a beer, we'll set it up.
And on that note, well, this one's too far,
but August 24th is the last booked one.
It's my friend Max's. He's got the private bar
It's one of the best hangs of porch tour. So last one's scheduled. Perryville, Maryland. Oh
Yeah
Maryland. If you can get yourself if you can get yourself booked on other things that are in the Maryland region
It might even make sense for you. All right, maybe I wanted I'm gonna try to make this work
Okay. All right, that that's great. of course go to porchtour.com,
comictavesmith.com for all our stuff.
We're out in Stamford in a few days, on Thursday, I believe.
We're out in Stamford, Connecticut.
Looking forward to that very much.
This was a makeup date that I had to reschedule,
so I'm looking forward to that.
And then we got a bunch more stuff coming up.
Casper, Wyoming, Dallas, Texas at the end of the month.
Well the next one is Fort Worth and Dallas are at the end of the month, then Casper Oklahoma City after that, Tulsa Detroit, Kansas City, Poughkeepsie, Philadelphia and then just added to the website which I'm very very excited about, Bozeman Montana.
We got a theater show that we're doing out there. This is my, there's not too many places left
that I've never been to or done stand-up in,
and Bozeman Montana is one of them
I'm really looking forward to going at to Montana.
Never been to Montana in my life.
And I know we got some great fans out there,
so I'm very, very excited about that. about that. You know the date on that? I can know the date on that if you give me one
second it's a that's January 18th so that's next year we got some time before
that. For some snow we'll go skiing well you won't but they got some nice
mountains out there. I'll be drinking in my hotel room but I'll meet you when
you're done for sure some point in you when you're done for sure.
Some point in between when you're done and when the show happens,
we'll probably hang out. Um, all right. So, uh,
full disclosure here, I am, uh,
I'm running on very little sleep. I, uh, literally.
So I essentially, we usually do, usually do Legion of skanks like now. Monday is at this time.
And we, Jay Okerson called me like a week ago and goes, hey dude, can we move Legion
of skanks to Sunday?
Because there's a concert I wanna go to on Monday. Would that be cool with you?
And I went, sure buddy, no problem.
Because I'm me and I'm a disorganized mess.
And I completely forgot that I had a flight at that time,
and I was supposed to leave.
So I had to book a new flight.
I was able to get one so we could do the show
that I agreed to do without knowing
that I couldn't actually do it.
And so we did that last night and then I flew out
at like 11 p.m.
And I made the pilgrimage to Tucker Carlson
which involves, I mean, where Tucker Carlson, which involves,
I mean, where Tucker Carlson is, is so rural.
Dude, I'm telling you, you gotta take a plane
and then you gotta get in a car.
At one point you have to jump in a canoe.
Then you have to just like,
you have to walk to like the top of a mountain
and speak to a village elder.
It's, there's a whole, it's a journey to get out there.
So I get out there at like 3.30 in the morning
to the hotel and I crash for like a few hours,
wake up in the morning, go have breakfast
with Tucker Carlson and then we recorded
an episode earlier today.
Whenever you do these like three hour long podcasts,
sometimes I'll come out of them.
And doing like Rogan or doing some of these other shows,
sometimes I'll come out and I'll call my wife
and she'll be like, how did it go?
And I'm like, I have no idea.
I gotta watch it back.
I never know, I don't know.
I will say this one I came out,
I think that's one of the best podcasts I've ever done.
I'm really excited for you guys to see it. I think it should be up soon. But I think
you're really going to enjoy it like this. It was I thought it was just really, really
great. There was also so much to talk about. I was just there in May. And I'm there now
in the beginning of August. And it's like we live in a different world. Like it's just
so much has happened since then.
Anyway, we hung out for a while afterward.
Tucker Carlson is just the coolest fucking guy.
I really can't tell you how much I love and admire this guy.
He's just awesome.
We hung out.
I got so lost in how long the podcast went and then we were just hanging out talking
after it.
Then I realized I was running crazy late from my flight back, had like a mad dash,
like a sprinting in the airport to get, I got to,
they were already boarding, like when I got to the gate.
Like I almost missed my flight home, but I made it home
and I'm glad we got to do this episode today.
So sorry for not streaming at 4 p.m. as we normally do,
but I have, you know, I think a really great excuse.
I think about as good as an excuse as you can you can imagine.
So, OK, so anyway, that's what's been going on with me.
I'm going on a couple hours sleep and I apologize if I'm a little off my game
for for this one, but I promise you the Tucker Carlson one from earlier today
was really good. As we are speaking right now,
Donald Trump is recording with Elon Musk. We might check in on
that at some point and see how that's going. They evidently had some crazy technical issues
and the thing dropped a whole bunch and they had to start over and I don't know, but the last,
as I checked right before we signed on, would have been done truth social truth social doesn't have that problem
well it does look man Twitter spaces is a very cool concept there still are I
think it's a little rough around the edges and some things that need to be
figured out I also think I've learned this from as of course we just launched our new site,
part of the problem.com. Please, if you're watching live there right now,
you already know, but if you're not, that's where you can go to support the show.
It's also where all of the episodes stream live uncensored ad free.
It's also where you can be a part of the new part of the problem in our circle.
And we're building like kind of a community
There you also get the members only extra fourth episode a week only
exclusively on part of the problem comm so
Just from the experience of starting this new site
I know that you know from talking to the guys that are like running the stuff and they're real smart technical guys
I don't know anything about this, but I know that that will be like, okay
We're doing like beta testing before we launch it
But the thing is you don't really find out what the issues are when you're beta testing because it's just like way more people
Are on it when you're really doing it and then you figure it out and I'm sure for Twitter spaces a
on it when you're really doing it, and then you figure it out.
And I'm sure for Twitter spaces,
a one-on-one with Elon Musk and Donald Trump,
I'm sure broke all previous records,
and they've never had this much traffic
on a Twitter space before.
And from my very, very limited understanding
of the technical side of it,
I'm sure there's just no way to prepare
for what type of glitches will go wrong
in that environment.
So anyway, I guess they had some issues.
Elon said something about how it was like an attack on Twitter.
I don't exactly know what that means, but it looks like they're back.
They're back up now.
Um, anyway, let's get into a couple of the big, we'll check in with that
in, in a little bit, let's get into a couple of the big news. We'll check in with that in a little bit.
Let's get into a couple things that are big news from today.
Number one, the day started for me at least.
I got up pretty early this morning.
I headed over to Tucker Carlson's place.
We had breakfast before we did the show and
As I'm on my way over there one of the things I swear to God
One of the things I was going to say because I was kind of like what I was thinking to myself as I go there
It's a weird life that I live a weird. I don't know how exactly I've gotten
To where I am in my career right now, but I'm going and I'm talking to like the biggest, you know, the biggest right wing platform in America.
And so I was kind of thinking going in like the theme from what I was trying to get across
today was like my urgent advice to right wingers, MAGA supporters, Trump supporters, all of that.
Like what I think they really need to hear. And one of the things, and also
knowing that Tucker Carlson really has Donald Trump's ear and that maybe this
could even influence him a little bit, I swear one of the things I was going to
say is like I had a long phone call with Scott Horton the night before and I was
talking to him and I was like hey this, this is what I think I wanna say.
And he was like, okay, here's what I think you should say.
And we were like, kind of just discussing it
as I do with him sometimes before these shows.
And I was like, we both were saying,
we were like, he's gotta get back on Twitter.
Like, I don't know what your deal is with Truth Social,
but whatever it is, man, break it.
You have to get back on Twitter.
Like, what are you doing? This the whole like right now they've kind of
been dominating you in the news cycle like he's not Donald Trump isn't
controlling the news cycle the way he did in 2016 or even the way he did in
2020 and he did that from Twitter truth social just doesn't have the same thing
and he's back he's reinstated like just doesn't have the same thing. And he's
back. He's reinstated. Like you gotta get on Twitter and be, you know, just roasting
these guys every day from Twitter. And I was gonna make a big appeal to that on Twitter.
And as I'm on my way there, I open Twitter on my phone, or X as it's called now. And
the number one trending topic is Donald Trump is back on Twitter.
So I didn't even need to, uh, to say anything about it.
He was bet he, he posted like a campaign video, uh, on Twitter.
And I guess this is an indication that he's going to be back.
I'll actually, I'll check right now.
I don't know if he's tweeted anything else, uh, besides that, but Donald
Trump is back on Twitter and that is
I'd say pretty big news. Nope hasn't hasn't tweeted anything else except that
but tweeted a video today has a 35 million views on the campaign video that
he tweeted and so right away doesn't it just prove that right? Of course you have
to do this and and so he did and probably just in time. But what do you think the the king of Twitter has made a return?
His first tweet should just be I take hydroxychloroquine every day for
breakfast. That's what got him kicked off if you don't remember. Was it that?
It wasn't January 6th stuff? No it was I Forgot specifically what his comment was but it was something in regards to hydroxychloroquine
And he got removed for what turned out to be a completely false study
And the study was removed when the authors finally got to review the the printed authors on the study got to review the data
And they were like oh, we can't have our names on this and then it was retracted
data and they were like, oh, we can't have our names on this. And then it was retracted.
So he had been censored.
You know, I vaguely remember this as you're saying it, but it's so crazy that literally
this is, I live in this world and for whatever reason, I remembered it as being a January
6th thing.
Wow.
Listen, I drink and read the news every day and sometimes I jumble things in my brain,
so it's possible that I-
I do vaguely remember this though about the study that they had to like retract essentially or that the people pulled their names off of that. Look, either
way I did make this point on Tucker's show today that I was like, like I was basically
I was I was pretty critical of Trump. And how like how poorly he's running this campaign
compared to what it could be and one of
the things I said is that like there's just no you know it's kind of like on
the theme that we've been talking about lately that it's like the the
establishment has this like message discipline and the dissidents have
nothing like it and I was like there's like you gotta run on the pocket aces
like you did in
2016 if you want to really shake this thing up, and I'm not a Trump supporter
I'm just too furious at the guy constantly to be a Trump supporter
But it's like I still do want the dissident voices to shake things up and I still am
More than I'm rooting for Trump to win. I'm rooting for the Democrats to lose, if that makes sense.
But I was like, listen man, there's like pocket aces here, and this is what you should be playing.
And it's like, obviously, immigration, you've been vindicated.
I don't see this, like this clear message coming from the Trump campaign, which would be so, it's so easy to just be like, remember when I said this and everyone said I was evil for
saying it and now I've been vindicated,
like fit that into a bumper sticker, man.
Cause it's so obviously like this is the thing to run on.
And then the other thing I said to run on was America first and not,
no more wars. And of course, he just does not have the desire or the courage or whatever it is to run on that. And he made his whole convention the We Love Israel convention. And then he's, he's calling everyone else a Palestinian. And and you know, which is like so ridiculous. All right guys, let's take a moment
and thank our sponsor for today's show,
which is Monetary Metals.
I love this company.
If you are ready to unlock a 12% return on silver,
you gotta go check them out.
Silver, of course, is not just a precious metal.
It's a tangible asset and a great way
to diversify any investment portfolio. With Monetary monetary metals, you don't just own physical silver. You own silver that
works for you to generate more silver, growing your total ounces over time. And right now,
you can earn 12% annual interest on silver paid in silver in their latest offering if
you're an accredited investor. Click the link in the episode description to learn more or go to monetary-medals.com.
As I've told you before, monetary metals is revolutionizing the way you invest
in gold and silver. They've been paying interest in silver and gold for over
eight years, helping you grow your wealth in real tangible assets. Finally, there's
a true alternative to saving in dollars,
a yield on gold and silver with monetary metals.
This is the first true silver bond since 1834.
As I mentioned, you earn 12% annual interest
on silver paid in silver.
You must be an accredited investor to participate.
It's a three-year term.
The bond is financing a publicly traded mining company
located in the Western United States. Click on the link in the episode description,
or head to monetary dash metals.com to learn more. All right,
let's get back into the show.
The other thing that I was saying was like,
make it a referendum on free speech. Why would you not do that? I mean,
listen, you as the sitting president were kicked off of social media.
You were kicked off of Twitter when you were president.
Like, isn't that the easiest thing to slam dunk to run on?
And not just that it's about you,
but that it's about Americans.
Like if it can even happen to me,
if even the person who, you know,
like was duly elected president
of the United States of America can be silenced on these things, then we don't have meaningful
free speech. And so wouldn't that be the centerpiece that you would go listen, this is it, it's
a referendum on free speech. That's it. You know, if you if you if I get elected,
we're going to make sure that like we have free speech on the
internet. And if they get elected, we'll never have free speech
on the internet. I just feel like that's such a winning issue.
And yet he hasn't been able to crystallize that or, you know,
like focus on that and make it a centerpiece of the campaign.
It's unbelievable to me. I would also add to the list, great list,
but also attacking the Democrats
on their preserving democracy,
which included pretending like a guy didn't have dementia,
then cooing him and using the Justice Department.
Yeah, and then just going after the Justice Department
in every possible way to try and make sure
that Donald Trump couldn't run.
And when that didn't work
potentially, you know looking the other way while trying someone was trying to shoot him or
Facilitating it depending on how conspiratorial you want to be, you know, I'll tell you listen
I completely agree with you. I completely agree with you on that. Yeah, and and and and
Specifically also as I I mentioned on the last episode we did,
and I mentioned this on Tucker Carlson's show today,
that also just like, yeah, like that it's the biggest scandal
in fucking American history
that we don't have a president right now.
Like that's crazy, that the guy was deemed too senile
to run for president, but he's still the president of the United States of America while we're involved in a fucking proxy war with the Russians
It's just so insane. You can't even imagine it
Like if you if you wrote it in a novel you'd go this is too far-fetched that but but we're living through it
And you know, I made this point and I'll tell you as I made this point
I was I was like I kind of thought to myself,
maybe it was my own insecurity or whatever,
but I thought maybe Tucker might disagree with me on this because you know,
like I, uh, like I love Tucker Carlson and it's been really cool to become like,
uh, friends with him and to be on have him on our show and be on his show a couple times now and and to like, you know,
somebody who I like, you know, talk to regularly.
But at the same time, I'm like this radical libertarian and he's like much more of a guy
who comes from like a traditional, you know, conservative, you know, mainstream
media personality. And I thought maybe he might disagree with me on this, but he ended
up totally agreeing. But I said that this whole thing where you're casting Kamala Harris Harris as a socialist is totally the wrong framing.
And, you know, like he's always constantly, it's like the far left, it's like this is
like out of Sean Hannity's playbook or something like that, where it's like the far left Nancy
Pelosi and Kamala Harris is a communist or something like that, whereas it's like, no,
she's really not.
None of them really are communists or Marxists or anything like that.
And actually what they are is just essentially whores for big business.
That's what all of them are.
They're, they're essentially just like guaranteeing like cronyism.
That's what they're really for. And they might use some like kind of quasi leftist rhetoric
in their attempt to do that.
But it doesn't mean they're really like, they're not.
In other words, Kamala Harris is not going to usher
in the workers revolution of the proletariat.
She's going to usher in more big profits for big banks.
You know what I mean?
And so, and the problem with Donald Trump casting them as the socialists is that
it's almost like you completely lose what the appeal of Donald Trump was.
Like what was the appeal of Donald Trump was. Like what was the appeal of Donald Trump?
The appeal was that he was a giant middle finger
to the establishment.
That's how he won.
Like, fuck the Bushes and the Clintons, you know?
That's the appeal of Donald Trump.
The establishment has mismanaged everything. And we're furious about that.
And on top of it, they're like demonizing people who are furious about it.
But when you cast your opposition as like Marxists, then essentially what you're
saying is that I am the defender of the establishment against these radicals.
You know what I mean?
And it's like totally like, it's just not at all correct.
And I did say like, that's a big problem
with him being all in on, I will support Israel
and you're all a bunch of Palestinians.
It's like, oh, so what are you,
you're Mr. Establishment now?
You're Mr. Establishment who's against the kind of like,
the dissidents?
That's not how you win, dude. No one's voting for you because they love the establishment.
No one's voting for Donald Trump because they think the American foreign policy over the
last 30 years has been spot on, but these rebel rousers are threatening to up end that.
It's just all so backwards.
So anyway, I was,
I was glad that Tucker really agreed with what I had to say
on that and I was, I enjoyed the whole thing anyway.
I hope you guys, I hope you guys enjoy watching it.
But so yeah, so Trump's talking to Elon Musk right now.
We'll check in with him in a minute.
The other news of today that was just so first of all
So this is we were recording the episode we took a break
at some point in the middle like I took like a little bathroom break and
I had my phone on airplane mode. I turned my phone back on and
I started getting it started going crazy and
And I started getting it started going crazy and
I saw there I was so glad that we took this break so I was able to see it, but I saw
that And I know this is gonna probably upset you Rob
I don't know if you haven't heard about this, but I know you guys are very close, but uh
Dr. Truth Science, Anthony Fauci, got his third
COVID infection today. Is that by the way, is that train on
your end, Rob?
You know, I'm laughing because I didn't even hear it till you
said it. Like, yes, but I'm so used to it's like the the scene of blues brothers with the subway going back and forth
I do not hear it. That's hilarious
Anyway, so dr. Fauci
Who?
evidently
has been
Vaccinated and boosted six times
Just got his third has been vaccinated and boosted six times.
Just got his third COVID infection.
What do you think Rob? Just not enough vaccines?
He doesn't have the, I need more antibodies.
I didn't get the latest booster soon enough
for the antibodies I needed in order to prevent the late
This is why we have to reshut down the country
This is why everyone needs to be back to wearing masks because even I can get can get COVID again
So everybody back indoors you should have listened. It's because of the unvaccinated
I didn't even see this but I'm just assuming he's saying things like this. It's not it's not too bad
Now listen if you've had seven vaccines
You'll barely feel it if you get come on the very unlike
But isn't it something to sell only alive because of the six booster if it was only five boosters. I'd be dead right now
Just think about that the guy who was the health expert
who was going literally, we call him Dr. Truth Science,
because he said in an interview
that if you have a problem with him,
you just have a problem with truth and science.
This was literally what he said about himself.
And this was the guy telling you, if you get the vaccine, you can't get COVID or transmit COVID.
And he's had six of them. And he just got it for the third time. It's just look I will say it's and here's why it's great.
It's great because he deserves it. He deserves far worse than this. I mean talk
about deserves it. He made it. He made the virus that he just got for the third
time okay. So not only does he deserve it
But what's so great about something like this is just because in a world in a landscape where Donald Trump
Assassination attempt seems like a while ago
And it's so easy for all of these things to just be buried in our distant memory
It's nice to see something like this because it just reminds everyone.
It's like, oh yeah.
Oh yeah.
Remember remember when they lied through their fucking tyrannical teeth and told you that
this vaccine was something totally different than what it was.
Remember well the head guy who had the nerve to say that you're against science if you
criticize him.
He's got COVID for the third time now for the record. I'm just saying. I'm on zero
jabs and two cases of covid. So
I'm beating them in every regard.
But isn't isn't it just insane?
I mean, I don't know really what can
be said other than the obvious, but it
is amazing. It is, again, something like
out of a cartoon that this
guy's getting it for the third time.
Well, I think I've had all the covids all of the times, but who cares?
For one. And for two, if you're Fauci, why are you even telling people this?
Do you really need to get back on the news that badly? You're not around anymore.
You could just have COVID for a week and not tell anyone.
That's such a good point. And I did not think of that.
I'm embarrassed that I didn't think of that. Why is he telling people?
Why do we even need to know?
They need people to do mail-in ballots.
They're not sure if the new monkey pox
is gonna come around and catch enough people, you know, so.
No, but it's like an excellent question.
Why wouldn't he just stay to himself?
He's not even in an official position anymore.
I can't believe I didn't even think of that. Why the hell would he even be admitting this?
a really good question
Yeah, I guess to remind people that that's why it's so important that you've been boosted with the latest boosters because otherwise when you get
This thing that you're gonna get anyways, you'd be dead. I guess I don't know. I didn't hear his comments
I can't tell you.
What can I say, I love being humiliated.
Why do you think I always talk to Rand Paul?
It's just fun.
Wow, that really is something.
All right, here, let's check in.
Can we get the, if we could look at Trump's, Trump and Elon's thing.
Let's try to pull that up for a second.
Maybe while Mike's pulling it up, we can take some comments.
All right, guys, let's take a moment and thank our sponsor for today's show, which is ProLon.
These days, a lot of people are learning about all of the benefits of fasting, like weight
loss, mental and physical performance,
and gut health, but they worry about the whole not eating part.
Well that's exactly why Prolon was created.
Prolon is a revolutionary plant-based nutrition program that nourishes the body while making
cells believe they are fasting.
Researched and developed for decades at the University of Southern California's Longevity
Institute and backed by leading U.S. medical centers, Prolon helps promote healthy blood sugar,
supports cardiovascular health, and reduces abdominal fat. But Prolon isn't a diet. Prolon
is science. Science based on Nobel Prize winning discoveries in medicine. And this all starts
with Prolon's five day program. Snacks, soups, and beverages all designed
to keep your body in a fasting state.
It's unlike anything you've ever experienced.
I've heard everybody talking about fasting,
intermediate fasting, all this stuff,
and it was always to me like I just can't do that
because I can't just not eat.
But now you can get the best of both worlds.
It's no wonder why thousands of doctors
now recommend Prolon to support healthy blood
sugar and cardiovascular health. So right now, Prolon is offering part of the problem
listeners 15% off their five day nutrition program. All you got to do is go to prolonlife.com
slash PTP. That's prolonlife.com slash PTP. All right, let's get back into the show here. I'll, I'll take some comments. Um,
all right, he's on COVID right now. LOL. Oh, that's talking about Fauci.
I thought because we just mentioned that I figured that was about Trump. Um,
American, uh, regularis, uh, says, uh, Fauci asks COVID to spit in his mouth.
I don't know.
I really like that.
Um, you guys are the best.
Keep up the great work guys.
So that's, that's nice to hear.
There wasn't too much to respond to there
other than to say I feel like you're making
an excellent point.
All right, here, I'll come back to the chat in a moment
and we will answer questions if you guys have it there.
But let's see, can we, Mike, can we pull up
Elon Musk's Twitter here and see what's going on?
Pulling it up right now, give me one moment, I'm sorry.
No problem, thank you so much Mike
And by the way, thank you to mr. Mike Suarez for filling in last minute for us tonight. It's um
It's much appreciated. All right, let's see
Or Donald Trump. Oh wait, is this a second video?
Oh, this may be...
Oh yeah, no, you know what?
I was wrong before.
I think he posted a few videos today.
Oh wow, that's great.
He's really back on Twitter.
Oh, yeah.
Okay.
Here's a tweet from Donald Trump earlier today.
I didn't even realize this.
Yeah, quite a few.
Okay.
So here's an actual tweet from Donald Trump.
He said, are you better off now than you were when I was president?
Our economy is shattered.
Our border has been erased.
We're a nation in decline. Make the American dream affordable again.
Make America safe again.
Make America great again.
Not bad.
Like he didn't say are you better off than you were four
years ago.
That's what they typically like to say.
He said are you better off than you were when I was president?
That's a smart little change right there because four years ago is 2020.
Yeah.
And it's a real tough time to say it like, because are you better?
It's really funny that Donald Trump's pitch should be, are you better off than you were
five years ago?
I feel like five years ago you were better off than you are now.
Four.
Let's not do four.
I know that's standard, but like, yeah, that could, that could cause some problems.
All right, let's see.
I don't know.
Hold on, is the thing still going or is it done?
Oh, it's still happening
Stop farmers from farming or you know
prevent people from having stakes or right basic stuff like that like like leave the farmers alone
I agree. How crazy is that where I mean you have farmers that are not allowed to farm anymore
Have to get rid of their
cattle and the whole world is a little crazy.
But it's largely taken its lead from us.
I just say though, I've heard in terms of the fossil fuel, because even to create your
electric car and create the electricity needed for the electric car, Fossil fuel is what really creates that at the generating
plants.
And so you sort of can't get away from it at this moment.
I mean, someday you might be able to.
But I do hear we have anywhere from 100 to 500 years left.
Much of it hasn't even been found yet.
But there are tremendous like Anwar.
I got Anwar in Alaska approved.
Ronald Reagan couldn't do it. Nobody could do it
It's amazing how you could just pop into Donald Trump and he's always just being Donald Trump Ronald Reagan couldn't do it
Nobody could do it. They said it couldn't be done, but then I did it
Alright. Well, I want to hear I'm curious to hear Elon respond to that because fighting words being on with Elon and
Same plenty of fossil fuels to go around. We don't need a transfer to electric cars right away
I mean there's so much to agree on that was almost it almost sounds like he's picking a little bit of a fight
Accidentally now I don't I don't think that's what a
Elon would would have a fight with because I don't think Elon
I at least I don't think Elon Musk is one of these guys who
Supports this like the ridiculous idea that like by 2030 we should be off of this stuff
I think he's in the business of saying let's pioneer these alternatives so that we can get them to a place where they're viable and
Then kind of like we can have a you know a discussion about it
But I think I've heard him say before he's like the first to admit that he's like,
yeah, we can't just like abandon fossil fuels
in the next few years.
That's just not plausible.
Or I should say, it's not plausible
unless we all want to live in abject poverty.
So I don't think that's actually picking much of a fight.
Let me clarify what I'm saying.
Sure. Well, we just listened to, Elon Musk just lobbied up a thing about meat. I don't think that's actually picking much of a fight. Let me clarify what I'm saying.
We just listened to Elon Musk just lobbied up a thing about meat.
Donald Trump's like his McDonald's.
He can talk about steak.
I used to have Trump steaks.
He could get into steaks.
And he pivoted it to a conversation about energy infrastructure, which had an angle
of criticizing the immediate pivot or need for electric cars.
That seems like the wrong pivot in a conversation with the
Yes, I I get the point you're making it's also kind of funny for just Donald Trump the guy who like ran
Casinos to start telling Elon Musk about like energy
You know
Electric cars or whatever. It's just it was an interesting move again. We're just jumping in in a middle of a thing
I will say this right?
Broadly speaking about right now. It says it has 1.2 million people listening. I believe though that's half of a Kamala rally
Yeah, there you go
I think I believe they greatly reduce the number of people listening because they were having these tech issues
Like he said, I think they had 8 million and then it crashed and then they,
they reduced it down.

Probably we should have mentioned this at one point it is
Let's get back into the show. Probably we should have mentioned this at one point.
It is one of the things that Donald Trump is doing in his 2024 campaign that I do think
is really great.
Because I was, you know, I've been critical of him a little bit already and I was critical
of him on Tucker show earlier today.
I will say one of the things I think he's doing that's really great is stuff like this right now. I think this is what we should be doing more of. And just that,
doing a Twitter spaces with Elon Musk. I think it's great that he came to the Libertarian
Convention. I think it's great that he came to that Bitcoin Convention. I think it's great that
I think it's great that he has to, because really all at this point,
all I really care about
with the Donald Trump presidential campaign,
it's not, I've just seen too many signals
that are like if he gets back in,
I just don't trust that he's learned his lessons
and he's actually gonna be able to drain the swamp
or something like that. But I really, really hope if he gets in that he pardons Ross
Albrecht. He's committed multiple times to doing that on day one and I just you
know I I know Lynn Albrecht who's Ross's mom and I just, I've spent some time with her and you know,
her, her kids doing a life sentence for look what he was convicted of.
There's just no civilized argument for why it deserves the type of punishment
that he's gotten. It's just, you know,
if people don't know he created the Silk Road,
which was like kind of like a dark web type thing
where you could trade anonymously,
and they really came after him
and made an example out of him.
And then there were like the accusations
that the Fed made that he was like trying
to hire people to kill someone,
but you know, the bottom line is he was never convicted
of any of that. So what he was convicted for is insane to go to jail for let alone I
think he's already been in over a decade I think is so anyway I that would be
really great but I'm not really convinced aside from that and I'm not
even convinced he'll do that I sure hope he will but I would uh,
I I would really
Like okay that would be great but I I don't think that in in any meaningful way he's actually gonna like drain the swamp if he gets in
however
It is like
Donald trump is basically run
to It is like Donald Trump has basically run two middle fingers to the establishment campaigns. And we got one more out of him.
And as of right now, he's the only one who's positioned to be that guy.
Maybe someone else will rise up who could really be that guy.
And when I say be that guy, meaning someone who's like has tens of millions of Americans
who support him, who like are really on board and he can run a campaign that can win, you
know, that has a chance of actually winning.
And while we're in this moment with this campaign, you almost start to look at like, well, what
are the tangible things that we can get out of it? Okay.
Well the tangible things you can get out of it would be that you can shed light
on issues that wouldn't nobody else can.
Like there's, there's things that me and you could talk about,
but that's not going to get nearly as many eyeballs on it as fucking Donald
Trump talking about it
So like that's amazing when he can bring that up and even doing something like, you know
If you do it Twitter spaces with Elon Musk, by the way, when I said there's 1.2 million people watching
I mean that's watching live
The numbers on this are gonna be insane by the time it's all over and it's posted. And even just for Donald Trump to go with Elon Musk and do this on Twitter, this is
a huge moment in like shattering the corporate media dominance, which has already been shattered
quite a bit over the last few years.
That's an incredible thing to do.
Donald Trump going to the Libertarian
Convention, going to Bitcoin Conventions, this is an incredible thing to do because
it now sets a precedent. It lays the groundwork for future campaigns to feel like they have
to cater to these people. So things like that are what actually get me kind of excited about what Donald Trump's doing.
It's not that I believe like, hey, you know, you got to vote for this guy because he's gonna drain the swamp or whatever.
That I've kind of given up on. But I really do think there's value in some of these things.
And so I just I hope he does a lot more of that.
You know what I'm saying?
I agree. And so I just I hope he does a lot more of that. You know what I'm saying? I
Agree hundred percent spread the message go after the deep state do the fun stuff
Yeah now kind of I I mean kind of on topic of what to
Expect and not expect you had sent this to me I've not had a chance to watch this rub, but you had the the video of
Donald Trump was talking about Hillary
Clinton and his promises to lock her up.
Well, it was it was him saying that he chose not to lock her up.
Well that's well he's talking about how he said he was running on lock her up or whatever.
So here let's let's play that video if we can Mike.
I'm curious to see this.
Mr. President, President Biden has now knocked apart a dissent
under who is now a convicted felon and facing more felon charges
without any proper alleged activation.
Would you consider preventing privacy for a pardon?
I don't think it's appropriate for me to talk about it.
I think it's a tragic story.
You want to know the truth.
And I felt that with Hillary Clinton too.
You know, with Hillary Clinton, I could have done things to her that would have made your head spin.
I thought it was a very bad thing. Take the wife of a president of the United States and put her in jail.
And then I see the way they treat me. That's the way it goes.
But I was very protective of her. Nobody would understand that but I was I think my people understand it
They used to say lock her up lock her up, but I'd say just relax, please
We won the election. I think it would be very I think it would have been horrible for our country
If I and we had her between the hammering of all of the files and don't forget
She got a subpoena from the United States Congress and then after after getting the subpoena, she destroyed everything that she was supposed to get.
I didn't think, I thought it was so bad to take her and put her in jail, the wife of
a president of the United States.
And then when it's my turn, nobody thinks that way.
I thought it was a very
terrible thing and she did a lot of very bad things I'll tell you what she was
she was pretty evil but in terms of the country and in terms of unifying the
country bringing it back and to have taken her and to have put her in jail
and I think you know the things as well as I do there were some pretty bad acts
that she did I think it would have been very bad for our country and a lot of my my people, a lot of the MAGA, as they call them, but the base.
And I think the base is 75% of the country, far beyond the Republican Party, because we're
a party of common sense.
And I'm a person of common sense.
I want to have low taxes.
I want to have strong borders.
I want to have a strong military so that China and Russia look, they've allowed China and
Russia to do the impossible combined.
They're natural enemies.
They always have been because China needs more land and Russia has it.
They've always been natural enemies.
And because of Obama started with him, and then Biden, because he didn't know what the
hell he was doing.
They've now become one force and then now they're adding Iran to it. And they're adding North Korea to it. Pretty powerful
force. This is something that is unthinkable that they allowed to happen. Hey, everyone, I'm Emily.
All right, Emily, settle down. Wow, that's that was very interesting. So I missed I had seen part of that
Press conference or speech slash question taking that Donald Trump did I did not see that one. That is really fascinating
What are your what are your initial thoughts on that Rob? All right. My initial thought is lock her up with something you said you started
Yeah, yeah, that's not it is not right to say they kept chanting lock her up And I was like settle down boys like no you said it motherfucker don't act like that's how it went down
So listen I get it
It's a different environment now where they went after you everyone's concerned that you're gonna start going after other people and you're letting the deep
State know hey, you don't have to shoot me
I'm not gonna get in there and start going after everybody right, but that's right at the end of the day
What you're telling us is that you did make a campaign promise
and then you're pulling the sales.
You move afterwards.
I never saw me.
Fauci.
I said that like as if everyone just started chanting at his rallies and he had nothing
to do with it.
Yeah.
That's wild.
Where's the drain?
The swamp talk.
Now, maybe you want to go listen.
I think it's inappropriate to go after past presidents.
I think Hillary Clinton's already so irrelevant that there's no reason for me to prosecute
her, but we do need to clean up the clea-.
Like, at least you could pivot like that, but we do need to drain the swamp.
We do need to clean up the deep state, and I would like to investigate or at least have
a commission to find out why there was so much corruption at the FBI to investigate me.
It's not right that American citizens
should have to worry about a corrupt government
going after them.
You know what I mean?
There's other talking points, but to just go,
yeah, I lied to my constituents and told them
that I was gonna go after somebody
because it was good during the campaign.
But not even that, he's not even walking back.
I didn't say that, my constituents wanted it
and clearly I can't do that. The base was saying that I mean that is what that is a wild
Rewriting of history to pretend that this was just something that people started chanting at my rallies
But I never said we were gonna lock her up. That's not how I went. I mean look I'm just saying on
her up. That's not how it went. I mean look, I'm just saying on the face of it right there, that is on the level of Fauci saying I never recommended lockdowns. That's wild to say
I never said lock. Is these people, I'd be giving a speech and then these people would
just start chanting, lock her up. And I was like, whoa, settle down crowd. You know, look, I will say it does remind me of something that I believe I don't,
Oh God, I, my memory is not what it used to be, but I, I do,
I'm not sure if it was Peter Thiel who said this or if he was quoting
someone else when I heard him say this, I definitely heard him say it, but,
uh, I think I've, I've mentioned this before on the
show, but he said that, and this was referring to the 2016 campaign, that he said that the
media took Donald Trump literally, but never took him seriously. And his supporters took him seriously but never took him literally.
I always thought that was a very fascinating, like a really astute way of explaining the
Donald Trump phenomenon.
I think there were things where, you know, the media would just be like, he said the Mexicans are rapists,
and, but obviously this guy could never be president.
I mean, he's such a joke.
And then his supporters were kind of like,
nah, the point he's making is that he's gonna be
a border hawk, and he could really win.
You know, like they got that,
you can't take the guy literally,
but he's a serious person,
and the media on the other hand was like,
take him literally at every point
and don't treat him like he's a serious person.
I will say that I think a lot of that did apply
to the lock her up stuff, which by the way,
if you wanna go back and look at it,
didn't go down exactly the way Donald Trump said he was the one who said we're
going to lock her up. And then the crowd started chanting, lock her up at every,
you know, uh, uh, rally. But so there's something about like,
I never really even thought it was within the realm of possibility that Donald
Trump was going to get into power and then, you know, like
charge Hillary Clinton with crimes and you know what I mean?
Like actually we were going to see Hillary Clinton in a jumpsuit or something like that.
I never thought that was going to happen.
However, there's a couple things here.
Number one, as we just said, this is a crazy rewriting of history to say that he wasn't
saying it and it was just the crowd saying it.
And number two, I mean, if the thing is that Donald Trump is serious but not literal, well,
why does that change?
Why is it now when he's running in 2024, he's saying what a terrible thing that would be to lock her up.
That's very strange.
That is a really bizarre 180 from where he was when he was first running.
And I gotta say, I mean the only explanation that I can think of for this is what you were just saying Rob, which is that I can think of for this is what you were just saying, Rob, which is that I,
it seems to me like he's shook. Like he's,
I don't know.
He not only had the justice department weaponized against him and as was really
probably staring down the barrel of the possibility that he could be doing serious jail time
But then also on top of that
He kind of got shot in the face
kind of and
At the very least it seems like the Secret Service allowed that to happen
And The Secret Service allowed that to happen. And maybe this is, I mean, look, there's been a lot of signals,
but maybe this is just one more signal that it's kind of like,
hey guys, you don't have to like actually murder me.
I also, I think one of the blunders of the Ukraine War
is that China and Russia are more aligned.
And you've got the BRICS conversation,
and a lot of the world has realized
that if they have deposits with us, we might seize them,
that we have weaponized money against,
like, there's a lot of statements that could be made
about the stupidity of the Ukraine War.
Saying that Russia and China are natural enemies because China's always wanted Russian land.
Yeah, I didn't get that.
I didn't get that.
I don't remember ever seeing that in geopolitics anywhere.
It almost sounds as dumb as the Kamala Harris.
Well, this is a big country and that's a little country.
Maybe he knows geopolitics that I don't, that China has always not gotten along with Russia
because they've always wanted to invade and go after the oil reserves, the natural gas,
but I've never seen or read that anywhere.
Yeah, also, I wouldn't describe China as a tiny country.
Right.
It doesn't exactly seem accurate.
And they do have a long history of being allies, you know
I mean maybe not like perfectly in lockstep
But like, you know, they were both like large communist countries at a time
I yeah, I don't I don't think that's right. I do think there is something to be said where like look there's the
think there is something to be said where like, look, there's the, there's, let's, let's just say there's the, the ideal foreign policy is like George Washington, John Quincy
Adams, Ron Paul, which is like, we should be non-interventionist, avoid entangling alliances, avoid war guarantees,
and be friends with foreign nations.
That's kind of like the best of the American tradition is that type of foreign policy.
Like that, like, look, we're not looking to get involved in wars, and we want to be friends
with everybody and if you guys have wars that
is that is very bad and we hope you resolve them soon but we're not getting involved.
I think that's the best foreign policy you could have.
Then there's like the Henry Kissinger philosophy on foreign policy which would essentially
be like so the Henry Kissinger you know was a Richard Nixon's guy and this was the big thing when they opened up trade
relations with China in the 70s the reason why they went over there and met
with Mao Zedong and like said nice things about him and tried to normalize
relations was because they thought the big enemy was the Soviet Union and they
were allies with China.
So let's kind of try to attract China over to us to kind of pit them against each other.
And that is wiser, you know what I mean?
Like to have them be enemies than to have them united against us.
And then there is the what can only be described as the senile policy of Joe Biden, which is let's pick a fight with Russia and China.
And let's pick a fight with the two biggest nuclear powers outside of the United States of America
and see if we can't fight them both at the same time.
And I think what Donald Trump is saying is like he always was more really of Kissinger type than a Ron Paul type. He
speaks like a Ron Paul type at times, but in reality, and in fact, he actually met with
Henry Kissinger back when it was in 2016 or maybe it was 2017 after he was in, but he
was bragging about how Henry Kissinger totally agreed with him
because his view on foreign policy at the time when he was running in 2016 was kind
of the reverse, but kind of the same as the Kissinger foreign policy of the 70s.
So he was saying that China is the big threat right now,
and Russia is less of a concern,
and so this was his goal, was to have detente with Russia,
make a deal with Russia to bring them in with us,
to kind of pit them against China.
That's been Donald Trump's understanding
of foreign policies from the beginning. So I Donald Trump's understanding of foreign
policies from the beginning. So I think that's kind of what he's getting at.
Again, there is a point to what he's saying. I think the much wiser response
would just be that we don't really need to be enemies with either of them. That
neither of them are conventional military threats to us.
They are threats in the sense that we can all at this point between the US, Russia and China,
we can all blow up the world many times over. And so yeah, you can't really fight a nuclear war with
any of them. But it doesn't seem like any of them are about to launch a
first nuclear strike against us or anyone else unless we push
them to the point of doing that any more than it seems like
we're about to nuke one of them.
And so then you come into the realm of like, oh, I guess we
can't really fight a conventional war against either
of them.
Anyway, thank God the only benefit of nuclear capabilities.
And so then it comes down to a situation of like, so what are we exactly?
Economic competitors?
Oh, okay.
Well, if we're economic competitors, then we already know both logically and empirically from just the 20th century alone,
well we know what leads to economic dominance.
And it ain't centralized power or socialism, it's free markets and capitalism. So if they're nothing but an economic competitor,
then the number one national security priority
would be drastic cuts in spending, taxes, and regulation.
That's what you wanna do if you wanna actually
defeat China, defeat Russia,
and the frustrating part about it
is that we could so easily lap all of them
a hundred times over if we just had a real commitment to cutting spending, cutting taxes,
and cutting regulation.
The problem, of course, is that special interests make ungodly amounts of money off of taxation, regulation, and government
intervention in general.
Not to mention, you know, fiat currency.
All right, listen, I am out on my feet exhausted.
I apologize for that.
