Starting point is 00:00:00 This only strategy now I think of is I have is like my audience or my connections in like four different like subcategories. So the first one is like the A category. I call them my A team. So my A team is my inner circle. It is like those people who I engage with every day on a daily basis. I know that they will comment on my pictures and I will comment on their post. So it just helps you in those tough times when you know that you need some engagement. for just that initial boost, you'll have your A team there to support you.
Starting point is 00:00:34 And how to build that A team is by being genuine, is by having these conversations with them, like, DMing them or having video charts with them. So that's how you can build your A team. Before we dive into today's episode, please hit that subscribe button. Your support helps us grow and inspire more people on their journeys. Thank you. Hello, Sanchit.
Starting point is 00:00:56 Thank you for journey and us today. And welcome to the show. Okay, thank you so much, Thomas. Thank you for having me here. So, Sanchit, can you please introduce yourself? Absolutely. So, hi, everyone. My name is Sanchet. I am here in Canada right now, and a bit about myself. I call myself an AI nerd and a market, and a digital marketer too. So why do I call myself an AI nerd was because it like all started happening before like two or three years back, more or less around the time when Chad GPT in November of,
Starting point is 00:01:35 in November of 2022 was launched. So my eyes was just like blown away to see the power of AI, even though AI has been there in the business from 1950s, a Turing experiment and even before that, but then it just started like, I was blown away when like Chad GPT came and AI became more like a household name. So I started like diving deep into AI world more like how we can use this. And and by like during the day, I'm a marketer. I work for a major education institution. I do digital marketing for them. So for my marketing role, I thought that AI is here now and marketing is here too. So that's not like it's like combined them both. And that's how like I started like doing AI marketing and then became so interested in that.
Starting point is 00:02:32 I was about to say that to me, it sounds like a perfect combination, AI and marketing. Yeah. And before we dive deeper into it, can we discuss your background a bit? Because you said you are from Canada or live in Canada. So is that actually come from? So about my background. So I'm here in Canada right now, but then I'm originally from India.
Starting point is 00:02:56 So I'm from southern part of India from a place called Bangalore And then I came to Winnipeg to Canada right now for my master's in marketing And then after that I started working here Found this place to be really peaceful And it's just that the growth in North America for AI It's it's booming not specifically in Canada in comparison to US But still like I I can see some advancements happening in the industry.
Starting point is 00:03:30 So what was the reason for choosing Canada? So good question. So I had like two places on my mind. One was Australia. The second one was Canada. I was always intrigued by Australia because of the weather, beaches, like the place is awesome. But then like somehow I just like, yeah, I just came here and then everything happened. And then it's just like Canada as a country, it's a very friendly country.
Starting point is 00:03:55 we always have that perception of Canadians being very friendly and very like open people. So I came here. I'm like, this seems like a nice place where a person of color can be, like live peacefully. And I have no complaints so far. It's been like almost three years now. Isn't it the complete opposite? You said, Australia is a beautiful warm, but isn't Canada actually cold place? Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:04:23 like I call myself a summer child and like this is like the opposite. It's like that winter's like you know probably you can you can feel me coming from London. It's like always cold, that cloudy cold. All the time. Absolutely. And why didn't you go to or try to go to US? USA may be later on. But like I just found Canadians like Canada in general to be more friendlier.
Starting point is 00:04:52 I could be wrong about this, but then it just had the perception which people have made about Canada in general, that it's very welcoming, it's good for immigrants. So that's what really got me to join, like, to be here in Canada. Yeah. And before moving to Canada, have you been already into marketing or AI when you were in India in Bangalore? Not really. Like, I wasn't into marketing nor I was in AI.
Starting point is 00:05:22 I was just like, I was more into like beer manufacturing and like brewing beer. Really? That's what I wasn't expecting. Yeah, that's what like I was like really interested in. And then I used to work with a beer company too. So it was fun. But then like I started like I started seeing that I'm more on the creative side like in general. Like just like found that thing about myself.
Starting point is 00:05:50 And then I chose marketing. and somehow it just clicked, like marketing just clicked with me. Talking about people, having these stories out of people, that's what, like, really, like, connected with me and now here I am. And was Winnipeg your choice, or was it one of the choices, or why did you end up in? So Winnipeg, it wasn't a choice, I'll say, but it was more or less like the university, like I like, happened to be in Winnipeg and the courses the programs they offered were here so I'm like might as well and then that's how I landed here and how did you find find it when you moved there
Starting point is 00:06:32 because obviously it's pretty much across the whole world I guess there was some culture shock culture difference what was your experience like absolutely made like I mean honestly it's just like so opposite so are you from like like London or I'm originally from Czech Republic and I moved to London. So it was also different country but it was still inside of... Yeah, so probably like you like, I'm not like to that extent, but then you know like a new person coming to a new country. Like everything is different.
Starting point is 00:07:07 So like I kind of had that like like yeah, everything is so different. But then cultural chalk definitely it's there. It's like east to west completely. So but so far so good. I'm liking it. What's the population of people from India? In maybe in Winnipeg or in Canada in general?
Starting point is 00:07:27 It's huge. It's like, yeah. Like, I'm not, I think even in like UK, it's a lot. Oh, UK, it's really a lot. Yeah, in London especially. Absolutely. So like even like in Canada now, not now, like they've been here for a while. And it's a lot.
Starting point is 00:07:48 It feels like home to be. really honest because there's so many. So then how did you find the education? I guess you went there only for a master's, right? Mm-hmm. So like I... How was it? Did it meet your expectations?
Starting point is 00:08:03 Oh yeah. Like it was really nice. Like the university I was studying in like I was offered a job in the same university after my program. So I was like very lucky to like like didn't have to like really struggle for any jobs or like school for asking people for jobs or anything. So right after my education, I was offered a job there. And then been working with them, it's going amazing.
Starting point is 00:08:28 It's like every day is like so much fun to be at work. It sounds good then you had a security of job because usually after students finish, sometimes it's a bit of challenge to find a job. So how come you got the offer? Where is such a good student or why was that? It's just that like the networking and building. relationships with everyone, I'll suggest that, like, they're people who work there, the staff, the instructors, they're all working there, like, right? So, like, it's just that, like, just having a
Starting point is 00:09:02 good relationship with them where you meet them even after, like, classes. It's not a way transactional, but it's more like you actually want to learn from your professor, for example. You invite them for a coffee or you just, like, be like, let's go to a networking event. So that's, that's how like I just like started building relationships with them when I was in school and then next thing you know like they were like they would be happy to offer me a job I'm like for sure why I already know you all no it's a great advice that's something that I hear from pretty much everyone that you know networking is very important building your connections and meeting new people so it makes sense to me can you then tell us more about the job at university what is it
Starting point is 00:09:49 that you do. Absolutely. So I do digital marketing for them. So my job is literally like telling stories of students who come from like all parts of the world, all parts of Canada, like how's experience spin. So it's just like I'm trying to promote their story on our website, on our social media channels. So in a way, this also helps other students, the prospective students who are considering on joining this university. They can have the stories and then they can resonate. Like, yes, this can be me. In two or three years or four years, this can be me like just thriving in a new country,
Starting point is 00:10:31 just having that skill set which is required. So that's what I do. Yeah, so we are behind the success of the university. I wish. And I'm not sure, of course, I don't know what's the scale, but are you the only person who's responsible for this or are there more of you? So there's a team for sure and like they're like everyone has like different like rules and tasks. So marketing in general, it's people like the people who don't know about marketing for them.
Starting point is 00:11:07 It's just about social media. But that's just like one part of it. There's so many different things like analytics, website, there's SEOs, content, video editing. So there's like a whole team and then I try to fit in that team and help people in collaborating
Starting point is 00:11:26 on projects on how can we have these stories out in the public. What aspects of your job do you enjoy the most? Huh. It's just the human interaction because that's what I have
Starting point is 00:11:40 realized about myself like I thrive on these human interactions. I feel like when we actually connect with people and we can learn so much from them rather than just texting them or just being so being in your own space that's important too but then also like to go out to go out of your comfort zone to speak to someone to learn from them to have your ego down and like be like I don't know anything you
Starting point is 00:12:08 you teach me that that takes a lot and then you can get so much out of it so that's the part where I love that's the human interaction part and on the contrary is there or something that you don't enjoy. Yeah, I mean, like, for work, there can be some days when it can get very overwhelming, meeting with lots of students, and just, like, knowing, like, each and every, like, there's struggles and everything,
Starting point is 00:12:32 how they came from, like, just a struggle from, coming from one country to another, and then maybe, like, not able to, be able to set. So it just said, like, there's, like, so much that human interaction going on that sometimes you can get a bit overwhelming. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And to what extent is the university international? If it focuses on students all around the world,
Starting point is 00:12:55 or if it's mostly Canadians, or what is it? The percentage, I'll say, it's like 60, 40. 60% more will be driven on having the national students and 40% for domestic. So it just keeps a good balance also to the demographics because you'll have a boom of culture, ethnicity from all around the world. So the university becomes very vibrant and a place to learn from other cultures.
Starting point is 00:13:26 So that's what really makes it stand out. Yeah. And it must be interesting to meet people around. I know from my own experience because when I was studying in London, you meet people each other even from different continents. And before back in Czech Republic, it was something I would never expect. Absolutely. And what is it like when it comes?
Starting point is 00:13:46 to work in remotely and on the site. Do you work from home or there or a hybrid? It's yeah, it's it's more or less like hybrid. So like a few days like three days in the week it's remote and two days like it's on campus and then enjoy both. I'm not going to lie like having the liberty to be in your own workspace where anything have your cup of tea or like whatever you want to eat. So that's what I really enjoy about remote work. But then also like going on campus and like seeing these beautiful faces interacting with them, learning from them. And then just like being in that office with like minded folks who are on the same mission as you. So that's what like really keeps you going. So I really enjoy both parts to be honest. Yeah. I guess I kind of agree that it's good
Starting point is 00:14:41 to have a mixture. And then I would be curious. what are your plans or aspirations for the future? Because you enjoy the job, but, you know, where do you see yourself? I don't want to sound like an interview question, but I'm curious where do you see yourself in a few years or in the future? Absolutely. So honestly, I take like one step at a time. I'm very much aware about my strengths and weakness
Starting point is 00:15:06 and where do I see myself in like five years. So I always give myself a more realistic approach with these things. like I don't want to be like that guy oh I'll be CEO in five years or something but then yeah just like realistically speaking so I do see myself like growing in the marketing department and probably like going like up and over where I'm currently based and then like just like seeing that what possibilities what creativity is how we can probably use AI like to write to like have our productivity or just like have our creation boost and at workplace. So it's yeah, like I'm looking forward to the next step in marketing, so let's see how that goes. And when it comes to the location, do you
Starting point is 00:15:54 plan to stay there or explore different places? For now, I really like the whole setting of Winnipeg. It's not a big city. And it, we call it a small city and a big town.
Starting point is 00:16:10 So it is like that. So it is. Can you say what's the approximate population just a good idea. It's 750,000. Okay, yeah. Yeah. So not as crowded as London, where
Starting point is 00:16:25 the population is in millions, but... And I guess, completely different than Bangalore, right? Absolutely. Like, it's like not even on scale. Like, yeah, it can't even compare
Starting point is 00:16:40 the population sizes. Yeah. I mean, it sounds kind of ideal, not too big and not too small. Oh, absolutely. Like, that's what I was like saying. Like, it's like so peaceful. Like whenever you like you want to have your downtime, there are these like nice places and cafes, you can go relax.
Starting point is 00:16:57 And whenever you want to have that city life, you can go to downtown and like just probably explore some pubs and like do like whatever you want. So there's a good mix of both. Did you actually have a chance or were you curious about exploring other parts of Canada? well absolutely so Canada it's second largest country in the world so there's like so much to see and it's just like taking one step at a time because like it's like year by year I try to cover two new cities every year so this year I plan on traveling to Quebec's Montreal those are French speaking places right?
Starting point is 00:17:43 Absolutely. So they just, that's a main language there. That's interesting. Yeah, exactly. It would be so interesting to see to be in a country where everyone else speaks in English. And then there's this province where everyone speaks in French. Yeah, yeah, it's really cool. Then let's chat about AI. As you said before, that you've been interested in it. So how did your interests start in this topic in the first place?
Starting point is 00:18:10 Oh, absolutely. So just like going back to that November 30th, 2012. So I won't say that I was a first one who started using like Chad GPT on
Starting point is 00:18:24 the day it was launched. I just want to like start my AI journey with Chad GPT because that's how like really started. I'll be very honest with you. And then so in December I found out about this tool and then I'm like
Starting point is 00:18:40 this is awesome like you know like you you can do this like you can ask like a tool to create marketing campaigns for you in a matter of seconds like I know like the results like might not be the same as what one can like plan or with a team of let's say five to seven people in over a month but then for just for a short spend just to get like an outline a format it's it's pretty damn amazing if you asked me. So that's when like my interest like it started like going towards AI and side more and more like I'm like okay fine like I know about chat GPT a little bit about chat GPT now which is the next tool like I want to know so I that that's how like my AI thing that started like beginning and I started seeing that people around me
Starting point is 00:19:33 they don't really know what's going on in this world like they don't even know like how some people don't even know like how to use chat jpity and like i just like like some people don't know what it is exactly like there are some people like that who are just oblivious of like what's happening in the world but then that's where like our opportunity lies for like people like you and me where you through your podcast you can educate people about AI and then me through my let's say my LinkedIn channel or any other social media of that I can help people in understanding how they can use AI or how it can help them in making their lives better. So it's just that adding that value, seizing that opportunity, this is something new.
Starting point is 00:20:23 Get all into that and then help people in getting better. So that's what really got me into it. And was it or actually where did you hear about it for the first time? Was it maybe just from the news and you were interested? in it or I don't know how did you find out about it absolutely so I remember it was a person who I was with at that time and they had a friend so their friend like so they were in a school so they were like there's this new tool it just helped me with my homework I'm like what do you mean what is this like Google helping you with your homework like I thought some new website or something
Starting point is 00:21:04 then they like know like it kind of like works like you you ask it to some you ask you ask you to do something and it will reply back i'm like what are you talking about is it like syri alexa like you ask something and you reply back then they're like no you have to check this out so it was like they're showing me like how they got their homework done in like span of like less than five minutes and i'm like guys like the applications for this tool are much more than your homework we can do so much more with this like what's like what Why didn't you tell me earlier? Exactly.
Starting point is 00:21:40 I'm like, what is this? Like, why didn't you just like tell me earlier? So like, that's how like it really started where I started seeing this like small magic shows through this like chat, GPD doing homework and then creating campaigns. I'm like,
Starting point is 00:21:58 this is so powerful that we don't like actually realize that what this tool is, is able to do in span of, in such a short span. So that's what like really got me interested for sure. And did you already back then knew that it's going to help you with your work or where you plan to use it for your work or was it simply because of the interest? So at first like I definitely saw the capabilities in the marketing side because I'm like marketing is content creation is a big part of marketing.
Starting point is 00:22:34 Like like I was saying like writing people's stories and then just that there are so many other things in marketing which you need to do like having an ad copy, for example, for your meta and Google ads. So things which would take time really like weeks and days and days. So you can do that. At least you can have an idea how to do that in a span of minutes. So that's what I was like, maybe I can use this for marketing. And then I started using this for marketing.
Starting point is 00:23:04 And then I started seeing great results. like people started liking like actually liking my work they used to like my work before too but then it's just that like i was able to do that in like a very short span and then they were just like blown away how can you come up with this in such a short time so did you already start posting on linkedin or where people saw your own so i have been on lincoln for a while it was just that like how a lot of people started just posting casually once in a while and then posting about having updates about jobs and
Starting point is 00:23:41 everything I joined this place so I got that certification that was all what LinkedIn was me like what I used to think about LinkedIn but then there was this like creator and I saw their post on my profile so
Starting point is 00:23:56 I'm like wait you can learn so much now on LinkedIn like what is this like they had so they had used some nice graphics some nice colors to make things simple and easy and there was a carousel post. I'm like wow, you can do this
Starting point is 00:24:13 on LinkedIn. I was just blown away. It all started in January, like early January or this year. So. Was it some viral or well-known curator that you can... Yeah, it was
Starting point is 00:24:29 actually a very well-known creator. So like I'll be just to be honest. It was Yasmin Alec. So he's like Yeah. Gold of LinkedIn. Absolutely, like goal of LinkedIn for sure. And then he was speaking about personal branding,
Starting point is 00:24:45 like how you can leverage LinkedIn for your own personal branding. And I saw his like podcast with Chris too. I was just like, okay, so like this guy has clearly figured out something. And he is like trying to help people now how to do the same. So I'm, I was just like so impressed. by the genuineness of Yasmin and also other creators
Starting point is 00:25:11 who I started like posting regularly obviously the content wasn't good what I was posting because I was on that learning curve where I'm actually learning from that feedback or like which post isn't working well so slowly like I started posting I went from post on branding
Starting point is 00:25:28 then I landed to AI in a span of six to seven months I was honestly expecting that you've been posting for much longer judging from your audience, from your interactions and stuff like that. That was very recent, very, very, how about yourself? I'm curious to know your LinkedIn story. So I, to be honest, mine is pretty much similar to yours.
Starting point is 00:25:50 I set it up. Once in a while you post about your new job, maybe some updates about your life. But then, I don't really know. It's probably end of last year, so similar time to you. and so I think I somehow started with the podcast and I probably started reaching out to people who want to join me on the podcast. And then as I kept using that more and more, that's probably how I discovered the power of LinkedIn as well. I started connecting with other people, with other creators. And I thought, wow, I can actually use the use it to grow my network, build a brand, help to grow with the podcast.
Starting point is 00:26:31 and, you know, in the beginning, did some terrible polls, didn't really know how does it work, but along the way kept optimizing, so I can relate to your journey. Absolutely, I can feel you on that made. Are you looking to elevate your online presence? Check out Trailblaest, our digital marketing agency. Whether it's standing out on social media, crafting a stunning new website or developing impact visuals, Trailblaist has got your back Visit TrailBast. Digito
Starting point is 00:27:04 and reach your online potentials a day And are you on other social media channels as well Or do you focus on LinkedIn only So my plan now is Because I feel like on LinkedIn I have some presence The second step will be Going to other channels
Starting point is 00:27:25 So it will be more like Omni channels now Going to Instagram going playing with YouTube because I have lots of videos which have posted on LinkedIn so I intend to do the same and have it posted on YouTube as well if it works it works if it doesn't work it doesn't work like I'll be like yeah just that again that learning curve I'll learn and see that which posts actually do well on Instagram or how different Instagram and LinkedIn are from Instagram and YouTube are from LinkedIn. So it will all yeah because every everywhere it's like a different like content which
Starting point is 00:28:02 works different style of content which works different timing which works. So I'm curious to know how all that works. So then can you tell us more about your strategy on LinkedIn if it's not some secret secret know-how but maybe to discuss your posting strategy your engagement and basically the way you use it? So honestly like There is no like strategy. I wish there was. The only thing is, the only thing for me which works is consistency.
Starting point is 00:28:36 And having that discipline where you show up every day. If you're not posting, it's fine. If you're posting, that's even better. I try to post every day. Like, I haven't missed a day since February. Wow. That's, yeah, it's consistency. Well done.
Starting point is 00:28:55 Thank you. Thank you. Yeah. So I mean, like, again, like, I'm saying, like, I understand that it's not possible for everyone to post every day. And it's fine. Like, you don't need to post every day. But, like, the only thing I'm asking is that show up on LinkedIn every day. Engage with your, so the only strategy, like, I'll, this only strategy now I think of is I have is, like, I have my audience or my connections in, like, four different, like, subcategories.
Starting point is 00:29:23 So the first one is like the A category. I call them my A team. So my A team is my inner circle. It is like those people who I engage with every day on a daily basis. I know that they will comment on my pictures and I will comment on their post. So it just helps you in those tough times when you know that you need some engagement for just that initial boost. You'll have your A team there to support you. and how to build that A team is by being genuine,
Starting point is 00:29:55 is by having these conversations with them, like DMing them or having video chats with them. So that's how you can build your A team. Your B team will be, it will be like those new followers, who you have connected with, who you are in the process of having those deep conversations or those meaningful conversations.
Starting point is 00:30:17 So that becomes part of your B team, your new followers and then your new connections. And then your C team will be, it will be those people who comment or who engage with your profile once in a while. Like they'll use LinkedIn once in a week and then they'll be like, hi, it was great. Thomas, I love the post. Yeah. So it's important to keep like that team intact too because you don't want to lose on them. Whenever they're active, whenever they're using, you want them to be like having engaging with your post.
Starting point is 00:30:50 And the last part of my strategy, of my networking strategy on LinkedIn will be the D team. The D team is actually like the biggest of the biggest creators who have more than 100,000 followers or like are like big shots on LinkedIn. We all know if we get a comment by a big creator, it will definitely boost your algorithm and also more people will start following you because someone big has commented on your profile. So my strategy is like I don't really like engage with them like once in a while
Starting point is 00:31:26 if I like their post I'll go I'll say oh I love this because it just said there's so many like thousands of people already commenting and I don't yeah I feel the same you are they're about to comment and then you notice they try like one
Starting point is 00:31:42 out of thousands so it kind of gets lost. Absolutely so like I would like rather make a day for someone who has probably 10 followers and like one like I'll have a I'll leave a nice comment on their profile
Starting point is 00:31:56 rather than just like getting lost in the crowd of thousand other sheeps and then just be another white sheep like I want to be that black sheep who stands out so yeah and especially for such a small creator if he or she
Starting point is 00:32:11 notices that someone like you who's got thousands of followers notices that you commented for them it's quite a big deal right it just makes their day better and then it just keeps them motivated to post more because they'll be like even though like they are trying some people are acknowledging they are looking at our content so it will definitely give them boosts can you name some mistakes to shoot it in the beginning of your LinkedIn absolutely I feel like we all start with mistakes and even for me like when I was
Starting point is 00:32:48 starting, there were like plenty mistakes which I did. So number one mistake was, it wasn't a mistake. I was like trying to find my niche. Like what do I really specialize in? So when I started posting on LinkedIn, let's say like in like February, that that was a time when I actually started posting every day. So I started with this like personal branding expert. I'm like I just started posting on LinkedIn. And next thing you know, I'm a personal branding guy. because all the big creators are personal branding experts. Big mistake. It was just like me lying every day that I know this, I know that,
Starting point is 00:33:28 me just like going to a big creator's post and then taking some inspiration and just like, yeah, just making a post out of that. It didn't really work out. No one could connect. And I could see that because that's not me. That's not who I am. And then slowly as through the months,
Starting point is 00:33:48 it started changing from personal branding to LinkedIn growth to marketing to digital marketing to AI marketing and now it has become just focused on finding the best AI tools like where I help people in making video tutorials of video of AI tools how to use them and that's what like I really enjoy it's what I've realized that where my audience they resonate with me and they connect with me so it It has helped me substantially to have a profound portfolio because of this AI tool thing. I like the evolution that it kind of showcases that maybe sometimes people may feel lost or don't know what to post about or how to start. But I think you just greatly illustrate it that you can try something, find out if it works, if it doesn't work, if you enjoy it if not, and evolve along the way. So great example.
Starting point is 00:34:46 Thank you. I'm just curious to know how did you start your LinkedIn niche. What were you talking about? I think in the beginning I probably didn't really have a strategy, so it was all over the place. I think I was trying to post maybe stuff related to personal development and stuff like that because that's also something that I'm interested in because of reading the books and following other people. So I did this. Then I was posting about podcast a bit. and then also probably some film related stuff because I used to work in VFX industry. So as you can see, it was basically anything that interested me. So there was no structure.
Starting point is 00:35:30 But then as I've been following other people, I realized that it's probably better to focus on something. And you've got, of course, loads of people who do personal development. So I thought that's probably not something that I will focus on. And although I was still interested in VFX, it wasn't my biggest passion, but I was doing the podcast and I thought that it may be a good way how to promote it on a LinkedIn. And also kind of to build my podcasting name or presence there so that it also helps me to attract new listeners as well as increase my likelihood of getting new people to speak with. So that's kind of also like over time I decided just to focus on podcast and so far I've been enjoying that. And it also makes it a bit easier that when I don't know what to post about, I always have podcasting content. So I know what I'm going to post even if I don't have any ideas, basically.
Starting point is 00:36:30 That's nice. I can totally relate to you on that. It just said in the process you find your way out. then we start loving what you do. And you said you post every day and from my own experience, it was actually one of my questions because I'm curious, how are you able to produce quality content in such a high volume? Yeah, like, so definitely like AI is there for your support and everything.
Starting point is 00:36:58 It can help you in getting a structure or format for your content. But like to really stand out, on LinkedIn, you need to have posts which go over and above than other creators, like something which is more personal, something which is more than thing, something which you do daily. For example, if I use a certain tool daily, let's say if I use guide, for example, for AI video creation. So I will like make a post on guide where I'm just like guiding people on how to use guide and then that passion comes out of me
Starting point is 00:37:40 because I on a daily basis I use so many different tools I try to experiment with tools to know that which one is actually useful and which one is just noise so that content somehow it just like comes out because
Starting point is 00:37:55 because I'm like experimenting with these tools so much and then I try to like have like certain like time slots during the day that every morning for two hours. I'll keep one hour for making one and a half one hour for post and then one hour for networking. Yeah. And then in the evening too, I'll have one hour. I'll complete that course. I'll schedule it and then one hour for networking. So I try to yeah, try to spend four hours. I don't try to
Starting point is 00:38:28 like being on LinkedIn throughout the day because it just kind of waste your time because there's like so much interesting stuff going on. And yeah, you'll just, like, lose your track of time. And next thing, you know, you're spending six to eight hours on LinkedIn, more than like your day jobs in some cases. But I like you mentioned how long you spent on it. Because I feel like people sometimes may expect that you show up once in a while, write a post and people will run towards you, start engaging and everything.
Starting point is 00:38:58 But you just said also, again, a great example that it literally takes time, work, and it's not built just in a few days by it takes some consistency. Absolutely. And does that then happen that you sometimes run out of ideas or you have constantly something to post about? So in the beginning, it used to happen that I was struggling with ideas. I'm like what to post next because if I'm posting every day, it's it's very easy to run out of ideas to be honest
Starting point is 00:39:34 I'm not surprised you know it so it's it's very easy to run out of ideas but then once you start actually like loving what you do that that's what I think creativity just flows out of your body it's just that
Starting point is 00:39:54 every thought everything you start observing things and you start thinking about things, I could be posting this, or I should post this tomorrow on LinkedIn. So whenever I have those like, even like those small ideas, I'll have a, on my notion database, I'll have it like, oh, fine, we can talk about this AI tool on Wednesday or on Thursday, I can make a tutorial on Canva, how to use it. So it just said there are so many different tools out there right now that I'm lucky in a way that I will never run out of content because.
Starting point is 00:40:32 And I really like the kind of strategy behind it because you basically test it, you explore it, which is something that you are curious about. It also improves or broadens your knowledge. And at the same time, it gives you content to write about. So I feel like it's just perfect strategy. Oh, absolutely. Like, I find it like fun on just like exploring these tools and seeing how they work. what's the UI,
Starting point is 00:40:59 ux like, how helpful it will be for people, if they'll be able to navigate through or not. So that's what really gives me that dopamine rush, to be honest, and yeah, never running out of content with all these AI tools. And I guess this is the question that I'm pretty sure everyone is waiting for. If you can reveal your tools and AI tools that you use. Oh, absolutely.
Starting point is 00:41:25 So, so every tool, has their own specific use case. It won't be wise if you just keep on using one LLM or one chatbot for all your tasks. For example, I'll just take the basic example, chat, GPD. Yes, it is great. But then it's probably not so good for other tasks. For example, if you don't write a more humane type content, I'll probably go to Cloud and I will have my content from there
Starting point is 00:41:58 if I'm writing a story but in the same hand if I just want to brainstorm some ideas I'll just go to chat GPT help me in brainstorming these ideas or I'll go to Gemini to give me more professional of like email for example for writing it for someone
Starting point is 00:42:18 so how you select these tools is like your first step can be like you see what's your purpose is like what you're trying to accomplish out of the task. And the second thing will be the usability of the AI tool. So I see like how easy it is used to that AI tool. For example, if I want to make a design, I can do it on Photoshop, I can do it on Illustrator,
Starting point is 00:42:43 and I can do it on Canva or Figma. It just said the rating that each tool, like what's your proficiency, what's your expertise with each of these tools, and how fast can you do, like, Like, can you make a design out of it? So it's just that the second step, like, or the second tool, I'll, like, I'll definitely come out to my, come to my tools too. But then just like guiding you through the process, how I find my specific tools. Third thing which I see is, like, every tool they have, now how their brand is, they have a freemium sort of like a subscription.
Starting point is 00:43:19 They'll have some free features and they'll have paid features. So you really have to see if the free feature. are worth it or not or like if they want if you want to use a paid feature like should you be spending because it's just so easy to spend more than hundred to 150 dollars now on all these different subscriptions people are already spending hundreds of dollars on all these subscriptions so it's like you really need to ask these three questions now coming yeah now coming to my tools which i use so i i love making videos all right so i really like making videos so i I used to use Premiere Pro to make my videos, but then it was seeking a bit of my time to make
Starting point is 00:44:03 this video, so I started using AI video editing tools because it is so easy just to like drag and drop and make videos out of it. So my suggestion will be to use a wheat.io. I really like using that tool and I feel like it's very easy to use. second one for video I'll suggest is probably Descript or you can use even Camtasia Descript and they have they are free to start but then they'll have their watermark place so you can just test it out see how the tool is doing if it's worth it or not to spend on the tour for content creation I usually go for Gemini Gemini just works for me
Starting point is 00:44:47 it just gives me the best content for some reason yeah like what I'm looking for For my personal assistant, I have my own GPT with chat GPT with Open AI. So it has all of my, the way I write, the type of content I produce. So if I'm writing a LinkedIn post and if I'm stuck with, for example, a hook or just like making that initial content, I will just throw it to chat GPT. I'm working on this project, helps me coming up with the hook, the CTA, and all the important things. So it will give me a nice body.
Starting point is 00:45:22 having your and anyone can build their own GPT, it has become that easy and accessible now. It's not that hard. And another tools which I really like is for my database, I use Notion every day. For all my creators who I follow, who I admire, who I want to engage with, my A team is on that database. I have their timings on that database.
Starting point is 00:45:48 When do they pose? And just the links place so that every time I go to Node, I know I have to engage with this creator. I'll press that link to guide me to their profile and I'll engage with them. So having your own, that's just a specific note taker where you can, all your ideas, you can have it over there. All your, for example, your creator list and your post ideas, you can have it over there. So that's another tool I'll suggest. Another one which I'll say is that people should use more often is,
Starting point is 00:46:22 are it's like having these like chrome extensions so some of the chrome extensions which i use like i'll just like just say the most basic one so uh use for lincoln use cleo kl o so if you're trying to find out the the most popular post for a person for a creator you can just go to cleo the extension and to guide you through the post another another extension i honestly think i've never heard of it i will need to have a look then i just just made a video on it. I need to send you that. So I'll just, yeah, explain a bit more about Cleo then. So how clear you work is, you just install the extension. You go to any person's profile. I'll go to your profile, Thomas's profile. I'll click that extension button. It will
Starting point is 00:47:12 give me all the posts, for example, from your most liked to your most popular, most engaged, most reposted and I can just like search for any I can put in any keywords I want to listen to a podcast on personal branding I'll just type personal branding
Starting point is 00:47:29 in the search bar and it will give me all the podcast episodes or the all the your posts about personal branding oh it's so cool yeah by now I feel like everyone should at least
Starting point is 00:47:41 have it installed on their LinkedIn like on their Chrome bar and then some more just to name another more will be like having a co-pilot extension on just an extension not to use co-pilot Microsoft co-pilot so what co-pilot has the access to to have to actually analyze your entire webpage so for example if I go to your LinkedIn and I will just I'll just type a simple prompt on co-pilot using the extension help me analyze Thomas's LinkedIn profile I want to
Starting point is 00:48:16 reach out to him for a DM. So what Copilot extension will do is, you cannot do this, by the way, with Chad, GPT, Gemini, or Cloud. You can only do this with Copilot. You can go to any web page and you can have the full summary and the details about it.
Starting point is 00:48:31 So I use it a lot for LinkedIn to analyze what a creator is posting, what's their niche, and how can they help me? So that's another one I use. Oh my God, that's so smart. I will have a look for sure that's not great. Definitely, yeah. And last year, what do you use for the content creation?
Starting point is 00:48:53 Is that Canva? For content creation, I do use Gemini. But like for the graphics? For the graphics, so sometimes it's Figma. Sometimes it's Canva. It's a mix of both. And recently I got like a profile revamp. So I'm trying to like play out with other tools as well like Adobe Express.
Starting point is 00:49:20 That one is a very nice, easy drag and drop tool too. So I like using that. Yeah, that sounds awesome. And what will be some creators or inspirations that you follow on LinkedIn? Man, there's so many awesome creators on LinkedIn. Like I can't even begin to thank them the amount of information they are sharing. it's just insane. So I'll just say like my daily ones or part of my A team will be Charlie Hills.
Starting point is 00:49:53 I really like his content. Charlie, yeah. I like Charlie. Yeah, from UK. So London, I guess, yeah. So like shout out to my mate Charlie. He's doing great job. Other creators will be like, which are doing, I feel like a great service will be
Starting point is 00:50:11 Jonathan Parsons, he is doing really good with his Canva tips and tricks. And then if you want to know more about personal branding and stuff, then we all know about the big LinkedIn gurus, the top three. So I don't really need to nickname them. They're already there. We already know. Yeah, you said that well. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:35 Like, no, everyone knows about them by now. So we don't even need to name them. outside of LinkedIn I'd be curious do you maybe read books or follow some I don't know famous or successful people outside of LinkedIn
Starting point is 00:50:49 absolutely so LinkedIn yes it's amazing but then like what I do in my like spare time I love listening to podcasts I'm a big podcast listener at some point I wanted to start my own podcast too maybe like sometime
Starting point is 00:51:06 in the future for sure so I love Andrew Huberman. I'm not sure if you heard of him. Of course, Huberman Lab. Mm-hmm. The Huberman Lab. I've always been, like, very drawn towards science and how to just, like, outlive your current lifespan,
Starting point is 00:51:24 like, how to live longer, just, like, having those protocols done. So, Andrew Huberman is one person who you follow. Lex Friedman is another podcaster I really like. It's going to sound a bit controversial. controversial but then I like Joe Rogan too I know some people or have that like ifs and with Joe Rogan but then I feel like it's like take what is important and leave what is not important that that's that's my strategy with podcast so I like him too I support your opinion yeah well that to know because like in Canada like people are a bit edgy when they get to know
Starting point is 00:52:05 about Joe Rogan, oh, why do you like him? Like all that. But yeah, never mind. So other than that, I love reading books too. So Robert Green, he's my favorite author. Have you heard of him? Yeah, of course. 48 laws of power and other masterpieces.
Starting point is 00:52:25 Absolutely. Mastery and 48 laws of power, it changed my life. Now I can say like everyone who is in a corporate setting, they should definitely read 48 laws of power. And anyone who's trying to find their purpose, like what they are good at, go ahead with mastery. These two books will definitely change your life.
Starting point is 00:52:46 Yeah. As we will be soon finishing, I would like to ask you, what are maybe some of your hobbies outside of digital world? What do you like to do in your free time? If you've got any free time. So I'm trying to build on my own brand. I'm building on my personal brand, but then also like I'm going to launch my own,
Starting point is 00:53:08 kind of like a marketing, digital marketing brand. It's called High AI. And it's going to launch soon. Going to start with the newsletter and on Instagram and YouTube very soon. Nice. Yeah. We will make sure to promote and to support. Can you share some final pieces of advice, whether it's for LinkedIn strategy or maybe even
Starting point is 00:53:31 can try to be a philosopher a bit and life advice. Oh, absolutely. Like, I'm, yeah, like, I just want to say outlaw, I'm not like any coach or like any life coach or person branding coach or air coach. But then what I can share is that, like, just having like some sort of discipline in life. It's just that some sort of consistency and some sort of that passion and drive in life can really help you out in finding your purpose. So that's how I feel with AI.
Starting point is 00:54:05 I really feel passionate, not only to like trying these tools out, but also helping out people, how they can use it. I'll just suggest everyone to find their own passion, like what really makes them up. It could be a podcast like what you're doing. That's a great service. It could be video editing. It could be personal branding.
Starting point is 00:54:24 It can be anything. And just get out, show your face, being in public like being in the world come on like LinkedIn is like one channel there are so many different channels and if you're really creative people I feel like social media
Starting point is 00:54:40 it's the best way to manifest your creativity to show people who you actually are be genuine and be authentic in the end yeah I love it I can only agree what you said then tell us where
Starting point is 00:54:57 I mean it's probably obvious but we are can people follow you and find you and feel free to promote any of your services. Well, so right now I'm only on LinkedIn. My name is Sanchez, Shangari, and then you can, whenever this podcast is out, you can probably Thomas will have a link. You guys can definitely like follow me and definitely follow Thomas too. He got some great podcast. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:55:26 And then, yeah, like, if you want to know about AI and you can just check out my profile, if you think it's worthy enough for your follow, do it. If you don't think it's worthy not enough, then I can definitely like make it better. Looking forward to your feedback, always up for some good feedback from your end. And then other than that, I will be seeing you all on link on Instagram, YouTube, and hopefully with a new newsletter. So yeah, looking forward to that. So it's great.
Starting point is 00:56:00 Then is there some final message or something that I should have asked you and did not? Final message will be master AI before it masters you. I like it, yeah. Before the robots, Terminators will take over the world. Exactly. before it's too late, before you lose that job. Just go for it. It's very easy to use.
Starting point is 00:56:31 It's just a buzzword. Yeah, I agree. I think then we can finish it. I want to say a huge thank you. It was a pleasure to meet you. Not in person, but face-to-face, at least virtually. I learned a lot great AI tools, great advice. So thank you so much.
Starting point is 00:56:47 And I will see you on LinkedIn. See you on LinkedIn. It was a pleasure being on this podcast. Thank you so much. Thanks for listening to Produce Bye with Tomer. Check out show notes for all the links. And don't forget to like, subscribe and leave your feedback. Speak soon.
