Regina Swarn Audio Series Presents - Love, Legacy, And A Viral Birthday Tribute
Episode Date: February 14, 2026Fan MailSome tributes land because they sound nice; this one landed because it finally told the whole truth. I open up about a birthday episode for my sister Lora that went viral—not for hype, but f...or heart—and why choosing the right producer changed everything. Dr. John Nathaniel Thomas didn’t just assemble clips; he honored a real bond. He named the “us” people often overlook in memorials: Lora, me, and Mother A.B. Jackson. If you’ve ever felt quietly edited out of a story you lived, you’ll hear your own experience in these words. We dig into what authentic remembrance takes: context, courage, and someone willing to speak from the heart. I share the sting of being praised-with-omissions and the relief of finally being fully seen. Minister Elder Davis modeled that same care months ago, and his approach reminded me that grief needs accuracy, not platitudes. The response from listeners—thousands of downloads and messages—proved that honest storytelling resonates. When a tribute keeps the circle intact, it heals. It gives credit to the labor of love and protects the dignity of shared history. There’s joy here too—gratitude for the community that listened, for a producer who understood our rhythm, and for what comes next. I preview season nine and welcome Dr. Thomas back as a guest to talk about his new music and a life refreshed by purpose. Expect conversations about memory, faith, and creative work that refuses to erase the people who made it possible. Press play if you value tributes that get it right, stories that keep love visible, and episodes that turn grief into grounded, generous truth. If this moved you, subscribe, share the episode with someone who needs to be seen, and leave a review to help others find the show.Music Show endSupport the showContact swarnregina@gmail.com

Now let's take you into an episode of Regina Swart, audio series.
I'm so happy for the numbers that the birthday post for my podcast did.
I'm so excited about it.
I retained a certain.
I needed something different this year.
Go above and beyond just posting about Laura's birthday.
Because her birthday, the two of us, was like celebrations.
Her birthday was a celebration to me.
My birthday was a celebration to her.
I needed something different than the same vanilla birthday was.
I needed someone to come and express the love that Laura and I show up for one another
because sometimes I feel like people try to diminish me when they speak of Laura,
they'll say they would speak a Laura without speaking of me,
but there's no possible way you can speak of one without speaking of the other.
And a lot of times people made me feel so bad.
I don't say it, but it makes me feel sad because
Laura and I was just like that tight.
You know, just you see one, you see the other.
And a lot of times people try to,
and maybe this is just in my mind,
erase what all the years we had together,
right on material does.
It just seemed that way.
So I say, you know what?
I'm going to go and let a producer tell this story.
And I chose the perfect producer
because Dr. John Thomas, Nathaniel Thomas,
we work with him longer than any of the other producers we work with,
and I am not diminishing any of them.
They were good producers, but I feel that he was, he knew us,
got to know us a lot better than the other ones did.
The other ones, it was like just working and that's it.
but what Dr. Nathaniel Thomas, he did a perfect job, perfect job.
And that's why this podcast for my sister is the best podcast birthday I've ever,
I've ever did for her.
This is the best.
And so I want to thank Dr. John Nathaniel Thomas for what he did.
he will be one of my first guests on season nine by the way he's got new music out he's got a new life
oh he's doing so well and i'm going to talk with him about his music in the upcoming season
season nine but i just want to thank him for what he did because he spoke from the heart
the last person that spoke from the heart that really touched my heart was minister elder davis
When he was on my podcast a couple of months ago, he spoke about Laura, me, Mother Jackson.
He spoke about us.
And see, when you can include everybody in that and just not try to just have one person right there,
because I'm telling you right now, where Laura was, I was.
Where I was, Laura was.
And Laura, if she was here today, she wouldn't dare let anybody try to diminish what the two of us had.
She won't do that.
She would do the same thing for me that I'm doing for her.
And I appreciate that what Dr. John McHanathomas did.
And also Mr. Elder Davis, when he's on the podcast, he talked about us.
And he talked about the two of us.
And it made me feel good.
It made me feel like I wasn't left out.
Because again, where Laura is or was, I was there.
It was the two of us.
We played different roles in this thing we call life.
But together, collectively, we are together.
And that's why in her death, I'm so glad I chose Dr. John Nathaniel Thomas
to do this tribute.
Of all the people I could have chosen, I'm so good.
glad God let him
been the one because this
podcast, birthday
podcast, is the biggest
podcast, birthday
wise, the biggest birthday podcast
that I've
recorded over the years. This is the biggest and the
best birthday podcast.
So Laura, I know you're happy
for what Dr. John and Thomas said.
I'm so happy. I thank
all of you for listening for all of those
downloads. Oh, my God.
Thank you. Thank you for the downloads because you needed to hear what John Nathaniel Thomas said.
You need to hear it. And he said it from the heart. He spoke from the heart.
And I appreciate him so much for that. I've already contacted him and said, hey, thank you, thank you, thank you.
Thank you for not diminishing me or leaving me out of my sister's life. Because anybody know it was always,
Regina, Laura, Laura Regina, whatever you want to put it,
and Mother Amy Jackson.
It was the three of us, always.
So there's no way you can cut me out.
There's no way you can do that.
And I feel a lot of times people do that.
But I'm so thankful that Dr. John, Nathaniel Thomas,
hit the nail on the head, and this podcast has gone viral.
Birthday podcast viral.
Thank you.
Thank you for those who listen.
And this is a short podcast.
I want to say thank you.
Oh, God, thank you.
Have a great day and stay safe.
Season 9 is coming up next week.
