Regina Swarn Audio Series Presents - Sunday Gratitude And Podcast Growth
Episode Date: October 4, 2026Fan MailSunday mornings can feel quiet, but they’re often when the biggest truths land. I’m Regina Swarn, and this bonus episode is a personal check-in about what keeps this podcast moving: faith,... consistency, and the people who push us forward when we’re tempted to quit.I spend time celebrating my latest conversation with the incredible artist Murphy Elliott. I love his work because you can hear the passion behind it, and I love the way a real conversation gives an artist room to breathe. I also share why I care so much about making guests feel comfortable and why I’d rather hand you the floor than fight for it. If you’ve ever been a podcast guest who felt rushed or talked over, you’ll understand the kind of space I’m trying to protect here. The heart of the episode is my sister Lora. When the podcast was new and the numbers were small, I wanted to walk away, and she told me to give it time. Lora was battling stage four breast cancer, yet she still showed up as my protector and my biggest cheerleader. That lesson connects to everything else I talk about: staying humble, giving God the glory, appreciating every share and every subscription, and tightening up the details, even down to hiring a proofreader so names and write-ups come out right.October also matters here: Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Domestic Violence Awareness Month are on my mind, and I’m planning guests and survivor stories alongside artists, musicians, and everyday people with something real to say. If you believe stories can heal, subscribe, share this with a friend, and leave a review so more listeners can find us. New music A message from me to all my wonderful followers. Please feel free to share your feedback. Click fan mail and leave me comments. Welcome to Regina Sworn Audio Series Presents, where I bring you stories of people from all walks of life.
I'm your host, Regina Sworn.
Contact me at Sworn Regina at gmail.com.
Now, let's take you into an episode of Regina Sworn Audio Series Presents.
Good morning.
I'm Regina Sword.
Welcome back to a bonus episode of Regina Sword Audio Series Presents.
This is Sunday morning and we are, yes, we're in October.
How do you like that?
I always love this time of year because we're in the fall.
But the, I don't know about you, but the weather over the years is totally changed.
Totally changed.
I don't know what you want to call it, but it's changed.
Anyways, when I was a kid, October used to represent it was cool, time to go to the state fair.
You had on your jacket or your coat, and you typically would go to the fair.
And I'm not saying going to the fair is not still a part of it.
I don't know.
That was here to go.
But it was just the weather was cool.
I mean, it was almost cold.
And it's not quite like that anymore.
But that's because you live, you learn, times change.
So welcome back to my show.
Yesterday I had on my show the amazing artist, Murphy,
Elliot. And we had a wonderful conversation for a complete hour. And he is a wonderful man to tell you.
We talked about everything. We talked about his latest drawings, paintings, I think, what he's doing.
Go check it out. It's up right now. Up at I Heart Radio. It's on Avicam.
It's on Buzzsprout.
all the places that you can find my podcast is there.
I got to do one thing going.
I've been saying I'm going to do this for the longest.
And that is take down or close the account as Spotify.
I got to do that.
Why am I waiting for it?
Because a lot of people would go there to check out my podcast.
and it's the older recordings over there.
So I want you to come to the newest ones,
which is at IHeart podcast.
But we had a wonderful conversation,
so go over there and check it out.
You know, Murphy Elliott is a wonderful gentleman.
We had a great conversation.
He's a great artist.
I mean, I can't think of anyone
that can create that many
drawings in so little time.
And we talked about his passion for it.
The man has a passion because in order to do something like that,
you've got to have a passion to do it.
And I tell you, he's a get passion, I tell you that.
So go check him out online.
His work is up at Fine Art of America, I think.
like that. But anyways, just go check him out. Go check out the interview. I'm not going to call
the interview. I like having a conversation with my guests. I love having a conversation,
which is speaking to them. I like to make them feel like we had a wonderful conversation.
If it's a minister on there, generally I let the ministers just have the floor because they know
what to do. I'm super excited. You've seen my posters all around on the internet, all around social
media. I'm super excited that my podcast has reached a certain level, I should call it. I'm so excited
about that. God, again, God is good because to God be the glory of my. I'm,
my life. It's God be the glory. So God is the reason for my podcast, for the success of my
podcast. The Lord is the reason for that. And so today is Sunday. So you want to go up and check out
some of my religious podcasts, which I have quite a few there. I have Elder Leonard Davis.
is one of the most popular ones that I have, along with Pastor Cammy Watson.
They did the amazing service back in July for my sister Laura's Memorial.
Let's have turns.
Oh, my God.
Music is playing in a big group.
That's beautiful, though.
Very beautiful.
Okay, okay.
Sorry about that.
But, yeah, they did.
Yeah, sorry about that.
Elder Leonard Davis and Pastor Tammy Watson were my special guest speakers back in July for my sister's memorial.
And I tell you, it just broke the internet, literally.
that those two services were heard by 2.8, not for 2.8 million people across radio, across the internet with
social media, YouTubers, bloggers, my podcast, of course, and word or mouth, you'd be
surprised how they'd get across on the internet.
You know, God is good.
You know, my sister Laura, I'm going to always say this.
I got to give her credit in the early beginnings of my podcast.
After having recorded one or two or three of them,
I was like, I don't want to do this anymore.
And my sister, you know, she was dealing with breast cancer stage four at that point.
and we were on a Zoom call
and she could see you in my face
she could just see it that
I was just frustrated
that no one had hurt
in my podcast
now mind you it just started
and she said
Tina
you're talking about giving up something
that's just started
she said
you can't do that
she said
you gotta give anything
you gotta give it time
And Laura has always been my protector.
And I mean that in the best possible way.
You know, I was a few months older than her,
not even a year old than her,
but she was always the one that seemed to be older than I was.
She was, I was like her little sister, believe you or not.
And she always throughout our life as little kids,
even in school, she would always protect me, always. And so as teenagers and as adults,
and later on in our lives, she was my protector. So, you know, you got to go and listen to some of my
podcasts where I speak of her. You know, she, she could see what I could not see. And sometimes a person,
especially a Kristen, who are about to transition.
and they could see further than you.
You're just seeing it now.
But Laura could see, at the end of her life especially,
she could see further than I could.
She could see what I could not see.
And she was always, and I'll always say this,
I'll always give her her credit.
She was always my biggest cheerleader.
she could
I mean she was so proud of me
you know
and never had anyone to be that proud of me
before in my family
and I guess it was because
we were very close number one
very close to one another but
she could just see that
and so at the end of her life
here I am talking about giving up
and she's like don't do that
that does not wise
and I'm super glad that I didn't
because all those people
that heard the team podcast in July that would have never heard it.
Had it not been for her encouragement to me saying don't give it up back in 2020 a couple
months before she passed away. So I'm thankful to the Lord that I did not give up.
I'm thankful to the Lord that I kept going because sometimes that's what you got to do.
Keep it going. Keep it moving. And I'm glad that I did.
I'm also happy that I have a proof reader.
I have a person that handles that stuff now
because sometimes when you're recording
and you got AI now that does a lot of stuff
but people's names are all jumbled up
and people can look and say,
well, they spell my name wrong or they did this wrong.
Well, I'm not trying to blame anybody,
but blame it on AI.
And so I'm so happy that I got it.
approved reader once the podcast is completed and all of that, I'm so glad I got a person
who is also someone that works closely with me now. So she goes over all of that stuff to make
sure the names are spelled correctly, to make sure everything that's on the podcast is spelled
correctly, because I am just responsible for recording it. And being the host,
You have to stay focused on what your position and your job is.
So I'm so happy that I was able to,
Harrison went to,
to do that because nobody wants their name up,
bum it up and jumbled up.
Come on.
So I do apologize for all of the podcasts in the past.
Like when Andrea Mohamed was on there,
boy, that was, I hope one day I can get her back.
I hope so.
She was such a great guest, her story about losing her voice and about her book.
And she's such a, she's going on to do such great things with her sister, Andrea, Andrea.
And they're doing really wonderful things at there now.
I will love to have both of the sisters back on my podcast.
I would love that.
And so, anyways, I say that to say this.
you know, I thank God that they got someone again to go over everything, make sure everything is spelled right,
make sure everything is put out there and everybody can look at their podcast and see that the write-up
and everything is perfect because it's got to be perfect. Come on, guys. So I'm thankful for that. So
I just want to come on here Sunday morning and thank my guests on yesterday, Murphy, Elliot,
for being a wonderful part of the podcast.
It was a great time, a great conversation.
So, and he's always welcome back.
That was a fourth time.
One, two, three, four.
That was a fourth time that Murphy appeared on my podcast.
You know, he started out telling his life story with part one, part two.
He gave part two of his life.
Can't tell it all in one podcast.
Part three, he told, you know, more about his life.
He wrapped it up.
And then yesterday, we just had a just wonderful conversation.
Set down, I had my cup of tea.
I don't know what he had on his inn.
Maybe a cup of coffee, I don't know.
But we had a wonderful conversation.
It was beautiful.
So go check out the podcast with Murphy, Elliot.
Regina Soren audio series presents where Murphy Elliott was my guest on just past Saturday.
Yay.
Go check him out.
And please check him out online.
He got drawings and artwork all over the place.
The man is definitely, in my opinion, a genius.
Definitely.
I mean, wool.
I mean, he can draw.
He's taking my pictures.
And he duplicated the picture.
And I was so amazed.
It was like, oh, my warrior, are you kidding me?
Look at this.
Look at this man.
I'm able to take a picture and duplicate it.
And in many cases, make the picture look better than the original.
better than the original.
So I am super, super, super excited.
Thankful to the Lord.
Absolutely thankful to the Lord for all he's doing for my podcast,
all he is doing in my life,
because he's doing so many wonderful miracles and things in my life.
And I'm so thankful to have this platform.
Audio only platform.
I'm so thankful to have it where people can actually come and tell their own story.
Tell their own story because most of the times when you invite a person on your platform or invite them on your show,
a lot of the time the guests have told me that you don't get a word in edgewise.
that they just want to
the host want
you to know that
I'm the one in church
and so people will tell me
say thank you so much
Ms. Sworned Regina
thank you so much for giving us the
opportunity to tell our story
to be able
to tell our story without
budding in and cutting
us off and cutting us down and cutting
this shirt or without making it seem
like I'm the host, I'm
in charge, you know, I'm not like that. I want people to know you are telling your story. So therefore,
you've got to have the floor. And I want people to feel comfortable when they come on my podcast.
I make you feel comfortable. I've had many people say, well, before I did it, I was very nervous.
And I'm like, what? They sound very nervous. But once I started speaking,
Regina Swart made me feel so comfortable.
Did I say that right?
Comfortable.
I was trying to break it down, okay?
Regina Sworn made us feel so comfortable.
And I'm about making you feel comfortable,
and I don't try to do that.
I just do it.
Because it is your story, after all,
that you are telling.
It's not my story to tell.
It's your story to tell.
And no one in us say it again,
No one can tell your story better than you can.
Contact me at sworn Regina at T-mail.com.
Now, you can still visit my official website,
reginasworn.com if you want,
but I always tell people to contact me.
Swornregina at T-mail.com.
That's swornruchina at T-mail.com.
first name, last name,
backward than the first name,
at gmail.com.
You're welcome on my show.
Once I actually go over your story,
I have to see what kind of story you got,
first of all.
And then once I do that,
I get with my person,
my personal assistant,
we get a number, and we talk to you.
I talk to you to see what you're talking.
about. And then from there it go on to the next level, I would call it, to put it together,
put these together. And then after that, it's pretty easy-peasy. And I say easy-peasy because I'm a very
comfortable person to sit down and have a conversation with. As long as it's a real story,
it's true. It's not something made up or botched up to make look cute or pretty.
Hey there, I'm Regina Soren.
I always leave my email in my podcast, but now it's super easy to leave me a message through fan mail.
Just press the button and just type away.
That easy, guys.
So this message is included in every last line of my podcast.
Click fan mail.
Send me a message today of your favorite podcast, or if you just like to see.
send an encouraging word or feedback, I am waiting.
Hit that fan mail and I'll get your message.
Thanks a bunch, guys.
Yeah, I invite people with stories, all walks of life.
And so I try to live up to that because a lot of people say, you know,
we were invited to certain shows, but again, you know, the host,
or the hosts, however many hosts you got,
they just didn't give us the opportunity, like you two,
to tell our story, you know, so.
And I'm about, again, I'm about the person,
or the artists telling their story.
I have not stopped interviewing musicians.
I want to make that clear.
I have not stopped interviewing musician yet, guys.
It's still interview musicians, artists.
hopefully my friend Murphy Elliott told me about a friend of his
I think his name is Bill Blair
He did a lot of stunt work for a lot of different
Actors and some of the movies
Probably some of your favorite movies
And I look forward to talking to Mr. Bill Blair
It sounds like he got a real story there
And I'm sure you're going to love it
So we're going to see about trying to get him on the podcast because I love telling stories of people from all walks of life.
Now, rather that be me telling a story of a person from all walks of life or the person coming on telling their own story because no one can tell your story better than you.
I like that. I like that. So thank you for joining me here this Sunday morning. I'm Regina Sworn. I just, I appreciate so much. I gotta give God all the praises for elevating my podcast to the status that it is. And it's still growing. It's still growing. I just want to stay at the feet of the Lord. I want to stay at the feet of the Lord.
in order for the Lord to do something for you and for us,
we got to stay at the feet of the Lord,
like a little kid,
nagging on his mom's gown, you know.
That's the way you've got to be with the Lord.
You've got to be humble.
And I thank God that he's kept me humble.
I pray hard to stay humble because you can start to get the big head.
You can't.
It's happened before.
Not with me, but.
but this happens to people.
They start seeing all the great things that's happening,
and then suddenly their head is swollen.
Like, look at me.
Forget about that it was the Lord that elevated you.
So in all my ways, I acknowledge the Lord.
I try to acknowledge the Lord in everything that I do,
everything I say,
even in my everyday life outside of the podcast.
I try to acknowledge the Lord because it is he who has made all of these things possible for me.
I am fool enough to realize that it is the Lord who has made me the woman that I am.
So I thank God for that.
I thank you out there for your support, for your...
support for you listening.
I think those out there who share my podcast, you know, because even if you share it,
it may be something very small that you're doing.
I appreciate that, you know, sharing the podcast that you are supporting it when you share
it, when you tell people about it, you are supporting it.
And I thank the Lord for you for that.
I'm very grateful.
for you, for that, you know, because you don't have to do that, but you chose to do it.
And I'm, I'm appreciative of everything that a person, uh, do to support my podcast.
I had to think for a second.
Everything you do to support this podcast, I appreciate it.
Some of you support it monetarily with a dollar, $2, $3, whatever.
Some of you support it by monthly subscription.
I think my friends, Steve.
Stephen Paul. I'm going to forever thank Stephen Paul for what he do, or has done for me over the years.
We met each other on a social media site called ShoutLife. It was a Christian platform back then.
And we met each other through that platform. And we've been friends ever since. You know, I mean, he's one of the few people that I've met online. One of the few,
there have been others, but he's one of the few that I have remained close to of the years of the years.
We're still friends, you know, and I'm thankful to Stephen Paul because he's been that kind of friend that you want to hold on to, you know.
So outside of the podcast, we're still friends.
You know, when his brother passed away, when his dad passed away, I tried to be there for him.
him, you know, calling him and encouraging him and, you know, things like that.
You know, I tried to be there for him.
And he's been there for me, you know, when Laura passed away, and when things happen
in my life, sometimes I'll call him and I'll talk to him.
And he's a friend.
We speak to one another as friends, you know.
So I'm really thankful for Steve and Paul, you know.
So check him out online.
He's over at Facebook.
I think, I know he's at.
Instagram. He's my friend at Instagram. He's at TikTok. I think he's at all the social media sites.
So check out Stephen Paul, a wonderful man, a wonderful friend. I'm thankful for him because he
has remained my friend over the years. Remain my friends. Through Dickinson, he's been there
as a friend. So I'm very grateful for Stephen.
So I just wanted to come on this morning briefly and say, thank you for joining me yesterday for my
podcast with my guest, Murphy Elliott.
And boy, we have a wonderful, beautiful conversation.
It was sweet.
It was just, it was fun.
You know, he's funny.
He made me laugh.
And we just had a good time.
So please, please check him out.
Please check him out.
online. Again, Murphy Elliott is at Facebook. You can check him out on Facebook. Go over because on his
Facebook page a lot of times he would post up a lot of his work. He's amazing. He's a very talented,
genius. I call him a genius because he's really amazing. Again, he just created pictures of me
and I was like, oh my God, you know, the one with the cowboy hat.
So he is really wonderful.
So go check out my conversation with Murphy Elliott on this past Saturday.
That was yesterday.
Go check that out.
And we had a wonderful time.
And he was a wonderful, wonderful guest.
So thank you, Murphy.
You were excellent.
Excellent.
Yay.
This is breast cancer month.
This is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
So we got quite a few things to cover this month.
We got quite a few things to cover.
But make no mistake about it,
I will always right down the middle, right across the board.
I will always lift up the Lord Jesus.
So check for podcasts, lifting up the Lord.
I've invited my guests from July back.
We haven't set a date yet, but I invited them back, Elder Leonard Davis, his wife, Donna Davis, his sister, Dolores Davis, all ministers in their own right.
Yes, I've invited them back.
I also invited back the amazing and wonderful Tammy, Pastor Tamys,
me Watson, who was one of my speakers for my sister's memorial back in July. I invited her back
because let me tell you, she got on that podcast. She didn't let loose man. She was ready. She
sung a little bit of this song for me. She sang a song for me. But she was ready. You could tell
she was ready to get right to it. And she did. Her topic was called Turn. And you got to go check
it out. Again, in the background, my cook, me, my cook, and a couple of people over here,
man, we were beside ourselves hearing that word of God preached. And, yeah, I can't hold back.
I can't be cute when it comes to lifting up the name of Jesus. I can't sit there and be cute.
You know, maybe I'm still cute. I don't know, but I'm going to just let it all hang out when it comes to
praising the Lord because when someone is telling the truth as was with Elder Leonard Davis and his family,
when they were on that podcast, I'm telling you, I can't sit there and hold my hands and try to be still.
I can't do that.
Man, I was lifting up the Lord right there along with them.
Same with Pastor Tammy Watson.
I was lifting up the Lord right there with that young lady, I tell you, right there with.
And boy, oh, boy, oh, boy.
What a time we had.
So go check it out online now.
The podcast from July was heard by roughly 2.8.
Some people say 4, but it was 8.2.8 million people.
And climbing.
Climbing.
The more radio stations play it or rebroad.
broadcast it, the more YouTubers
talk about it, the more bloggers
write about it, the more
that it's going to be played again
and again and again.
So, go check it out.
Go check it out.
I am
about to end this podcast
now, right now.
So I just thank all of you for
supporting me, you know.
Sometimes the support don't come from
who you want to come from.
You may think it's going to come from this side over here.
But the Lord already got it already predestant.
Where is going to come from?
The Lord know what to do to stay out of his way.
You've told me many times,
Tina, get out of my way.
Get out of my way.
Let me handle this.
So I let the Lord handle it.
I let him handle the support and the people who are my podcast.
I let him handle everything.
And he don't make mistakes.
So I am thankful for the Lord.
Thank you for joining me again this morning.
I don't know.
A lot of you might be getting ready to go to church.
And so I pray you have a wonderful day at church.
And God bless you all.
So thank you.
Thank you for listening to my podcast.
This is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
This is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
So I would be bringing you just this month
Speaking about their different situation as survivors
Does this situation?
I should have said that
I would be bringing on
Survivors
Breast Cancer survivors
Cancer survivors
And just people that want to tell their story
Might not be from cancer
It may not be
It might just
They might want to come on and talk about their music
So people are welcome.
They're welcome, welcome, welcome to share my podcast.
Again, I have to make sure it line up to what I am all about.
You have to a lot of people want to be on my podcast,
but I have to make sure that it lines up to what my podcast is all about.
Thank you so much for joining me.
I think I said that 100 times.
Thank you so much for joining me.
Again, you can contact me at Swarring Regina at C-Bel.com.
God bless you.
Take care of yourself.
And until the next time, see ya.
Okay, that concludes another great broadcast.
Thank you so much for joining me for Regina Swaring Audio Series.
If you'd like to be a part of this series, please send me an email at Swarine Regina at gmail.
I want to thank all of my wonderful friends, fans, and guests for being a part of this show.

Until the next time, take care of yourself and be safe.
