Regina Swarn Audio Series Presents - The Sound Of The Show 🌟 Chris Murphy Elliott

Episode Date: August 23, 2026

Fan MailYou can name a few classic TV shows and instantly hear the music in your head, and that’s not an accident. I start from that shared memory and then tell the real story behind my own podcast ...theme song: it was composed about 11 years ago for a radio show that only lasted a year, yet the music kept going and eventually became the sound of the podcast itself. That’s the kind of staying power creators dream about, and it’s a reminder that audio identity is not fluff, it’s branding you can feel. From there, I shine a light on the person behind the track, composer Chris Murphy Elliott. I talk about why original composition still matters in the streaming era, when everything can feel endless and disposable, and why a “made for you” theme can make a podcast feel instantly recognizable on IHEARTRADIO, Apple Podcasts, YouTube clips, and social promos. If you’re building a show, you’ll hear practical takeaways about consistency, memorability, and how intro music sets expectations before a single word lands. I also get specific about attribution: where composer credits should live, why it’s worth being loud about who made your music, and how credit supports the artists who help your project sound like itself. If you care about podcast growth, podcast branding, intro music, and the craft behind a signature theme song, this one is a quick listen with a clear message.
