Regina Swarn Audio Series Presents - You Cannot Tell Everybody Your Business
Episode Date: October 1, 2026Fan MailNot everybody clapping for you is for you, and not everybody praying for you is coming with clean hands. We get real about social media oversharing, personal privacy, and why telling the wrong... person your business can turn your hardest moment into somebody else’s entertainment. We walk through how we think about trust in a world where screenshots travel and gossip moves fast. We talk about keeping your private life private, choosing one or two people you can truly lean on, and why we prefer a small group of prayer warriors over broadcasting a need to hundreds or thousands. The goal is not to shame anyone who posts online, but to name the risk: large audiences can include negativity, nosiness, and people who do not have your best interests at heart. We also dig into the pressure to perform your pain for likes, sympathy, or attention, especially when you’re sick or going through a rough season. We share why we’d rather be “different” than be exposed, and how boundaries can protect your peace, your relationships, and your mental health. Along the way, we reflect on what it means to keep going through trials and still stay grateful. If you want more conversations like this, subscribe, share this with a friend who needs stronger boundaries, and leave a review so more listeners can find the show.New music Show endSupport the showContact My official website https://www.reginaswarn.comEmail address swarnregina@gmail.com Podcast themes composed by John Nathaniel Thomas - IntroChris Murphy Elliott - Ending

So how's everybody doing since the last time we spoke?
I hope you're fine. I hope you well. Hope you're doing good.
Me, I'm doing great. I tell you already, if I got a breath in my body, food on my table, got my strength, life health, and strength that the Lord only can give me, then I'm doing wonderful.
I want to speak very briefly about sharing your business with the wrong people.
Sometimes you got to keep your business to yourself.
It's good to have a really good friend,
someone that's really close to you,
someone that you really trust and they trust you.
That's okay, but you got to know that they are your friend.
You got to know that that particularly family member is close.
close enough to you to not share your business.
And I knew I had that with Laura.
You know, I had that with her, my sister Laura.
If you got a friend like that that you know,
you know, keep your business, your business,
and you guys got a bun like that, that's awesome.
But don't tell your business to everybody.
I have my life, my private life,
Just that, my private life.
I do not share my stuff on Facebook.
I do not share my stuff on Instagram.
Sometimes people, they don't know what's going on in my life.
So what they would do is they would go and try to listen to the podcast to see what's going on.
That's a shame to me.
You got to go to the podcast to listen to see what's up in my life.
I'm a little bit of my life.
I mean, Lord.
But, anyways, I just.
don't tell everybody in my business. I don't. If something is going on in your life, sometimes
you got to find just, you got to have just that few prayer warriors that you know that you can
depend on that you can go to. You know that they got your back because they are going to the
word with your situation, with your problem.
with your whatever, even if you got a friend.
And you know you guys can talk and you got the good vibes.
I like what people say, I'm sending good energy, good vibes.
I believe in that.
I do.
Because it's positive energy.
Anytime a person is going through a sickness or going through something in their life,
you better make sure that you got prayer warriors behind you.
Or somebody you know you can trust.
because in that bunch, if any one of those people are negative,
or they are a gossiper, just going to mess up everything,
because, again, you can't tell everybody your business, you know.
And I think I got a good, I think I got a good few people that I lean on.
I hope so, you know.
Once I find out that they're not, I get rid of them.
It just is what it is.
You know, but I think now I do.
I don't tell everybody my business.
I don't like telling people what's going on in my life.
I just tell certain people so they can pray.
And, you know, people put their business on Facebook.
That's them, you know.
I'm not going to knock you for what you do.
You want to say, everybody pray for me.
And a lot of people feel like the more prayers,
the better so they'll post their business out in public.
If that's how they feel, I can't knock them for that because that's the way they feel.
Me personally, if I got a problem going on, I am not going to post it out there on social media.
That is me, see, I'm different from you, from others.
I have a different way of operating, a different way of doing things.
So I'm not going to put my stuff out there.
There's this you can do.
A lot of people are nosy.
So in my mind, if something is going on in my life,
I go to the prayer warriors that I'm close to,
and I say, look, I need you to pray.
I need it.
And because I know we're all on one accord.
We're all on one accord, you know?
And when you got just a faithful few,
the Bible didn't say you have to have a whole gang.
You don't have to have a whole gang of people
Just where a few
Where two or three agree
Trust me, that's all you need
So I'm not going to put my stuff out there on social media
I'm not going to put anybody else's stuff out on social media
I don't personally operate like that
There are even certain family members
I don't tell things to
I don't talk to my family about anything
because there are a bunch of gossipers.
They are.
They're a bunch of gossippers.
Anytime a person to say,
don't tell nobody,
it's between you and me.
You know,
if a person ever say that to you
about something that another person has told them,
let me tell you something.
You better run as fast as you can
away from that person.
Because that person, if they're telling another person's business,
what you mean if it's just between you and me?
What do you mean by that?
You want to run from that person.
I mean, and run from them really fast.
Because you can't trust people.
I have a problem with trusting people.
I'm sorry.
Call me crazy.
Call me crazy.
People do it all the time.
I have a problem with trusting people.
I do. I don't trust everybody.
So I just don't.
I rather, if something, I got something in my life,
I rather tell a few, faithful few than to,
that I think and as I hope that I can trust in,
I hope, you know.
But I really tell a few faithful few
then to tell people, then they're going to go run back and just with that one, that one, that one, that way.
You cannot trust everybody.
And so, like I said, I don't knock people when they put their business on Facebook,
when they want to tell what's going on in their life.
I used to do that, what, 10 years ago?
I used to do that.
Everything that went on in my life, I post it right there so people can know so they can be praying for me,
so they can take up an offering or they didn't have.
I don't think cashed up at the time.
So people get together and raise up money and things like that.
You know, and I used to do that.
But I realized, I said, Lord, you know what?
You said, we're two or three agree in my name.
And that's all you need.
But I cannot tell other people how to run or live their lives.
I personally don't put my business out there.
on social media.
I don't.
I don't need a hundred,
a thousand people praying for me.
I don't need that
because somewhere in that bunch of a thousand people,
somebody is negative.
Somebody in there is,
their best,
don't have your best wishes at heart.
Somebody in that thousand.
So when you put your stuff out there on Facebook
and all these lines,
for people to see and say, this is what going on for me, be praying for me, da-da-da-da-da.
Some people might really feel, you know, feel bad and be praying for you or raise money for you.
A lot of times that's what people want them to do, and that's fine too.
But everybody in that bunch is not, they don't have your best interest at heart.
So be very selective, be very careful how you put your business
out on social media.
Because again, everybody out there
don't, do not have your best interests at heart.
Thanks for listening.
I'm Regina Sorin.
I just wanted to share that with you
because a lot of people,
a lot of times they don't know what's going on in my life
because I'm not going to tell you
what's going on in my life.
My personal life is my personal life.
And a very few people I actually even talk
you.
And even people that I talk to, a lot of people, I don't tell them anything.
So they don't know what's going on in my life.
They don't know.
But there are people that I do talk to that I do tell, this is what's up.
You know, da-da-da-da.
You cannot tell everybody your business.
It's not wise for me.
And I'm going to say it again, it's not wise for me to put all of my business on social media.
If you are sick and you're putting your business on social media
and you're telling and you think the more prayers the better,
no is not.
No is not.
A lot of times people want to be, they want that pity.
They want to, I'm sorry, I'm telling you the truth tonight.
I'm telling you the truth tonight.
A lot of times people want that pity.
So they put that out there so more people can, can, can, can, can, like.
People are so into likes.
God, people are so into likes and how many people like something.
That don't mean flip to me.
I don't care if nobody likes something.
I prefer not to put all my business out there.
And sometimes people have put stuff out there because they want you to like it.
They want you to know that they're sick and all of these things, this that and the other.
And that's not always wise.
But that is them.
I can't tell them how to live.
I'm talking about me, baby.
Me.
I was kind of cut from a different clop than most people.
I'm sorry.
And I almost think that, Paul Simon,
sometimes I wanted any write this song about me.
Still crazy after all these years.
Because I am still crazy.
As people say, she's crazy.
And I don't know what they mean when they say that.
I'm trying the people that you say are crazy are some of the smartish people.
Not bragging on myself, but I'm just saying.
But I love that song.
Still crazy, after all these years.
Still crazy.
Still crazy.
Still crazy.
After all these years.
I love that song by Paul Simon May.
Because people call me crazy all the time, okay?
But that's good not to be liked or loved by everybody
because I know I'm not liked or loved by everybody.
And I find that I love that.
If you're not going through something in your life
and everything is easy, easy-peasy in your life,
something's wrong.
Something's wrong if everything is easy-peasy.
If you're not going through something or things are not
If everything is so easy going, something is wrong.
You know, I thank God for the trials and tribulations that I have.
I thank God for them.
That let me know, God, hey,
and give me a reason to stay on my knees, stay on my knees praying.
That gives me a reason to do that.
So, yeah, I had to bring up that Paul Simon song, you know what I mean?
I love it.
I think I'm going to listen to that tonight.
Wow.
still crazy after all these years.
So, I mean, people used to call me crazy years ago.
That girl is crazy.
It's still saying, you know, that lady is crazy.
And I don't mind.
I don't mind what people say.
Let them talk.
But again, if you got business, you don't want everybody to know your business.
Be careful how you share your business with people.
Because everybody do not need to know your business.
Be careful who you talk to.
you about your business because everybody don't have your best interests at heart.
