It looked like somebody was bent over and had their head in the window of the deer blind
and it either heard me or smelt me and he pulled his head out of the tent and stood straight up
and that shocked me.
They don't make people that that big.
The way it moved, almost as if it was gliding across the beach.
I've never seen anything moves like that in my life.
They were screaming at each other in gibberish.
It sounded like a language and they were chuntering away back and forwards, back and forwards, back and forwards.
I know what a bear looks like and there is no way on this planet that what I saw were bears.
What happened one? What are you reporting?
Get somebody out here.
What's going on now, sir?
That's son of a bitch is about six.
This is about six foot nine, I don't know.
Is he a male, sir?
Yes, I'm looking right here.
Hi, this is Ian on the eastern shores of England.
You better believe it.
All around the world, we're listening to Sasquatch Chronicles.
Welcome to Sasquatch Chronicles.
No, there's nothing wrong with your speakers or your headphones or however you're listening
today.
I'm not West Germer.
I've taken over the show today, and I'm going to do my best to entertain you as well as I know how.
And who am I?
Well, some of you might be familiar with my voice, but for those of you that aren't, my name is Brent Thomas and I am from the Paranormal Portal.
Sitting in for Wes just to talk to you about Sasquatch a little bit today, so I hope you guys kick back, relax, and enjoy the show.
While many of you may not be extraordinarily familiar with the paranormal portal, I cover all aspects of the paranormal unknown and 40 in topics as much as I can anyway.
and we do cover quite a bit about the Sasquatch phenomena on the shows.
I find the Sasquash phenomenon incredibly intriguing because it's this incredibly potent experiences that people have.
And oftentimes these experiences are incredibly transformative for those who've experienced them.
As many of you know, very much a global phenomenon.
Now, I know this show is called,
called Sasquatch Chronicles, and many of you are incredibly well-versed on this topic,
probably much more so than myself. However, I do want to dive into some strange aspects of the
Bigfoot Sasquatch phenomena that I find incredibly intriguing and almost contrary to what we think
we understand about these beings. What are they? Well,
For the sake of this discussion, I want to focus on the physical part of this phenomena.
I don't pretend to know enough to dive into are they interdimensional or extradimensional.
Are they extraterrestrial?
Are they spiritual?
Are they something else?
There's a lot of ideas about what Sasquatch might be.
And I don't consider myself or pretty much anyone.
qualified to speak with any authority on any of those, really.
But what we do know about them is that they are a physical being at least some of the time.
And I think we can all agree on that.
They leave footprints.
They seem to eat or are observed eating or have, you know, taken people's food and people
have talked about habituating them.
So they do seem to require food.
at least on some level, at least some of the time.
They break trees allegedly.
They are known, have been known to break people's belongings and their property.
So they are a physical creature for the, and for the sake of this discussion.
We're going to focus on the physicality of it,
not get into the other aspects that may or may not be the case with this phenomena,
because who can tell.
As Wes says, nobody's got one in their garage.
Nobody's studying these things to the point where they could be certain about anything.
Like much of the paranormal, this stuff just doesn't lend itself to rigorous study because
it just happens where it happens when it happens.
These beings show up, where they show up, when they show up, how they show up.
And so we don't have the ability at least currently to aggressively,
study them, but I do think that there's enough claims and reports that we can at least
draw some rudimentary conclusions about them, as well as identify some really curious points
about them. And that's what I want to dive into here today. So again, for the sake of our discussion,
we're focusing on the physical Bigfoot. And there's some things that we believe we know about them,
which seem extraordinarily consistent with first-person reports, direct encounters, et cetera.
And that is that they're a human-like being.
It's widely believed that they exhibit a pretty profound degree of intelligence.
Maybe somewhere in the neighborhood of human beings,
but probably a different kind of intelligence in a large part.
like I don't expect that they'll ever start building machines or cars or, you know,
exorbitant or impressive architecture, but that they have very powerful problem solving skills.
They are strategic.
They seem to outmaneuver people regularly, not only physically, but just with their
intelligence in their element.
and so there does seem to be a pretty profound level of intelligence that they display,
which seems to separate them by quite a wide margin from other parts of the animal kingdom.
Reports of these beings suggest that they're generally seem to be mostly between six and ten feet in height.
Now, I'm not implying they don't start out as babies and go through the infancy and the toddler and etc.
but I'm speaking of the adult subjects of the Sasquatch variety.
The weight estimates generally seem to come in anywhere from 400 to 1,200 or more pounds.
So they are incredibly huge and dense, not only in height, but in their stature, obviously.
Some people describe them as like these hulking figures.
And so that's a lot of meat for sure on that, on those.
bones. So they are enormous. They also seem to be incredibly reclusive. They, they stick to themselves,
and they seem to actively avoid humans and populated areas. Now, that is pretty consistent from
all bodies of reports that, for the most part, people see them at a distance if they see them at all,
but they seem to actively avoid us,
and maybe that's a throwback to their evolution alongside of us
that they just learned that we're not good to stay in close company with
for any number of reasons.
And I can think of a handful, but generally I'm sure that they've had
a history of a lot of negative experiences from the hands of human beings.
So that doesn't surprise me a bunch.
and it seems that most of the animal kingdom actively avoids us.
So that's an incredibly consistent behavior for these beings.
The next point is probably goes without saying,
and I feel like I'm truly preaching to the choir here,
but Bigfoot and Sasquatch are generally considered
to be incredibly strong, possessing like superhuman strength.
And there are so many examples of them performing these incredible feats of strength.
So that's another basically known aspect of them.
I don't think that would surprise anybody listening to the sound of my voice.
Another really incredible feature of the Sasquatch,
which I think for me was one of the huge epiphanies.
And I've shared it many times on my own show and other interviews that I've done.
And that is their incredibly widespread habitats.
They're reported in every ecological,
region available on our planet, from mountains to plains to swamps to forest, jungles,
and even deserts. It's crazy. And in my opinion, this truly makes them the most successful
organism on the face of our planet. And they don't just survive in these disparate regions,
but they seem to thrive and all of them. And that is incredible. Now,
Now, I was having a discussion with a pretty well-known figure in the Bigfoot world, and I mentioned this to him.
And he said, well, humans are everywhere, too.
And I was like, yeah, but human beings, we have the ability to create our comfort in any region of the planet.
But we are, if left to just survive, we don't perform so well.
And even experts in survivalism.
And I'm speaking of, you know, several personalities out there.
When they go on those extended survival treks into the wilds or different regions like deserts and mountains and stuff,
they generally come out several, several pounds lighter than when they went in.
And so essentially they're getting by, they're surviving, but they're not thriving.
We aren't as adept at these surviving in these.
surviving in these regions as as these things are by a long shot. So yeah, we know how to keep living
if we're in those zones, but we don't do well. And we're, it seems to me that it's largely
a losing battle for most that would attempt to go out and survive in those same regions with
no assistance whatsoever. Now, I'm not saying that over a period of time human beings couldn't
establish things like, you know, plants and, and some, some, some,
form of widespread trapping and hunting and create a situation where they could survive just fine.
But generally speaking, we need a lot of help in order to do it, whereas these things seem
to do just fine wherever they are, just surviving off the land as it is.
So very, very interesting to me and pretty profound.
And that brings me to my main point of this discussion.
and it's not to try to convince you guys what Bigfoot or Sasquatch is.
You already know that.
But there's a lot of strange behaviors that almost seem contradictory to some of what I just discussed with you.
And the enigmas of the Bigfoot, to me, are the most curious and interesting.
And I find it incredibly fascinating, but let's get into those now.
I think the biggest curiosity to me is that, by all intents and purposes, it seems that, as I stated before,
Sasquatch seems to be incredibly reclusive. And again, they seem to actively avoid humans and populated areas.
But while they appear to avoid people, they do seem to go out of their way to watch and observe us.
And that to me is incredibly fascinating.
And again, perhaps that's a great indicator of the kind of intelligence that we're dealing with here.
And that they watch and maybe observe and potentially learn from us.
What are we doing?
Now, I don't expect that they'll start, you know, creating tents and, you know, getting campers and doing all of that.
but I do think that they they are fascinated with what we are doing.
And that seems to really denote intelligence.
It's like, what is it they're doing?
And it's surprising the amount of claims that have come in that I've covered through
the years and heard of through the years of them coming and looking in people's windows.
And to me, that's got to be about the most horrifying thing a person could experience is to
be sitting in your lazy boy watching, watching your show, and to look over to your right or left
or whatever and see this huge face looking in your window. I mean, that's got to be absolutely
horrifying in a sense. But I think that they seem to be intrigued. And again, I think that that is
indicative of intelligence that they want to understand what is this weird stuff that we do,
that this seems so foreign to them.
And they come in to have a better look.
But it does seem very contrary at the same time.
It's like if these beings seem to actively avoid people and their scope and purpose is to stay away from us.
And yet they come right in when they think it's safe to do so and observe us.
So I find that incredibly interesting.
it's kind of, kind of, as I said, a contradiction.
But again, maybe when you're out in the woods, like that's your world.
And you've seen sticks, you've seen rocks, you've seen, you know, all the beauty of nature your entire life,
that maybe some of what we're doing looks pretty darn interesting, you know, in contrast.
So perhaps that's part of it.
It's like maybe the same reason we go and watch fireworks every year, not only to celebrate
our country's amazing independence and celebrate that. But to go see those pretty lights,
to go see that amazing spectacle and experience that we don't see any other time. So maybe it's a
very human-like trait in reality. But I do find it interesting and I do find it surprising,
honestly. But I just wanted to make a point of mentioning that because it's just not what you
would expect from a very reclusive species, and yet it is a reality.
So the other curious thing about them is that, again, they seem to avoid people.
They seem to go out of their way to stay away from people.
And yet, when people are in their areas, they seem to almost enjoy harassing people.
There's many, many reports of them taunting campsites.
many of you out there that have been guests on Sasquatch Chronicles have talked about how
you endured this constant pressure from these beings and the way that it made you feel and
how horrifying that is. But they do seem to enjoy it to a degree or at least they're very motivated
to do it. But some of it is very mischievous. Some of the behavior is very mischievous.
like how many people have reported getting these small pebbles chucked at them.
Now, if something was being really serious and territorial,
it wouldn't be chucking small pebbles.
It'd be chucking boulders and logs.
But it's just almost playful.
And maybe it's possible that those activities are being accomplished by younger ones.
I don't know.
And I can't pretend to know for sure.
But maybe it is more playful.
Maybe it is more curious just to see what they'll do.
What will the people do?
And so there's that possibility, but it's, it's so interesting to me.
I got to tell you, one of the, one of the incredible signs of intelligence for me is the level of psychological positioning and maneuvering that they do.
And when they are, let's say somebody goes camping and suddenly they get the little activity.
it almost becomes like psychological warfare though where it starts out very subtle and it and it's and it just seems to escalate over the period that the people that the people stay there it may start with small pebbles or pine cones just more mischievous more unusual and but over time that activity seems to increase and escalate and it
may escalate into someone's walking around my tent at night and wakes me up,
hearing these strange knocks and howls in the distance and things like that that are,
it's so incredibly strategic to me that they continue to ramp it up and ramp it up and ramp it up.
And it may get much more aggressive than that.
But it seems that what they,
what they're doing is essentially very much a psychological warfare, as I stated,
like they continue to apply more pressure over a period of time, maybe days, maybe hours,
but it continually keeps people in a state of stress.
And it escalates and ramps up until the people decide, I've had enough.
We're getting out of here.
This is not good.
And to me, that's an incredibly powerful statement to the intelligence at work here,
because it's not just circle the camp and howl and howl and.
and make noises until people leave, again, it starts out subtle.
And over a period of time, it becomes more and more assertive.
And to me, that's very incredible.
And it's surprising because oftentimes people regard these as, you know, again, just another ape,
just some relic hominid.
And yet they seem to be operating at a much higher level than that,
that they are masters of pressuring people.
And again, the shadowing people.
How many stories have we heard of people being shadowed out as they're hiking out or
walking out?
They can hear footsteps, sometimes right alongside them, in areas where they feel like they
should be able to see something, but there's nothing.
And they are so good at it.
And that to me is incredible.
So very, very powerful.
Another strange thing about these beings is, and this is another one that's hard for me to wrap my head around.
Again, if we go back to the idea that they are reclusive, that they avoid people.
But yet some of the most common sightings of Bigfoot, and it comes up and report after report after report, there's dash cam footage of this happening.
and that is the road crossings.
Now, if any of you and many of you are from the country
or from very rural areas or forested areas,
and so you know what I'm talking about,
but I grew up in Minnesota in a very rural wooded area,
and I used to go on the hills all the time,
these wooded forested bluffs,
and I could hear cars coming a mile away or better
on this quiet country.
road. And so it's so surprising to me that they're still caught crossing roads, especially the night
ones, because not only is it the sound in this quiet country roads, but it's also the lights,
the headlights that can seem common for a long, long way away, even before they're visible.
Everybody night driving knows what I'm talking about. When you see those headlights coming
on the other side of the rise, it's like, oh, here comes one, I better get my dims on and,
And so there's so many indicators and reasons that they should be able to just hunker down and wait a sec or two, wait a moment or two until the car crosses and then pass completely undetected.
But yet they don't.
There's so many indications in times where people have experienced, it's like they wait for the car to get close enough.
And then it's a hold my beer moment.
Hey, watch this.
Hold my beer.
and they tromp across the road in sometimes scary close distances to these cars that are having to
slam on the brakes and almost hit these creatures.
And then they don't take that.
I mean, they're not shocked.
They're not scared.
They just kind of glance over and look and just continue across the road.
Sometimes they bound across.
But sometimes it's just this regular stride like, oh, this is my road now.
And it's so shocking to me.
that this happens because these creatures, these beings are masters of camouflage.
They could just kneel down.
They could just stand behind a tree like they do all the time and be absolutely not visible.
And yet they chose that moment when these cars are right on top of them to step out and
walk across.
And to me, again, that's got to be strategic.
What is the purpose?
I don't know.
No, I've heard some theories, one of which was.
was from Bear from the Bigfoot Outlaws, Jim King, he and I were talking about it,
and he thought maybe it was their way of kind of counting coup.
Like it's a right of passage that they're showing off to each other.
Like, watch this.
I'm going to walk right in front of that iron box that goes by or something.
And that maybe makes sense.
Maybe that is it because if they are focused on not being discovered,
If they're focused on being away from people, then that's about the worst choice they can make,
and yet they make that choice.
So maybe it is somehow a right of passage or maybe a sign of bravery among their ideas or their beliefs.
It's hard to say, but it is an incredible enigma to me that just doesn't make a lot of sense.
The next enigma about the Bigfoot that I want to cover is that they are,
This is a global phenomenon, for lack of a better term.
It's not just a North America thing or North America, Australia.
It's global.
There are so many, many names for Bigfoot, Sasquatch, et cetera, around the world.
There's, you know, European names like the Woodwows, the Grogok, the Greyman, and so many more.
There's Yahwehs.
There's in Australia.
There's, there's Yerin in China.
There's the Almas or Omastis up in the Russian regions.
There are names for these things all over the place.
The North American tribes' First Nations people have dozens, if not hundreds of names,
for these beings.
And so it really is a global phenomenon.
Now, interesting enough, I've wondered, how can that be?
because, of course, perhaps they migrated alongside of human beings in whichever place,
oftentimes the prevailing theory is that we all came from Africa or out of Africa.
There's some other ideas out there, and I don't pretend to know enough to speak with any authority
on what the origin of human beings are, but maybe this was something that maybe they've been around
as long as the Pangaea idea, this supercontinent idea.
And so they're everywhere because they were on Pangia, and they were here that early,
and when it all split up and drifted, maybe they went with it.
The other idea, again, is that they did migrate, much like we did, and that's certainly a possibility.
Now, that point in and of itself, I don't think is necessarily an enigma.
It just speaks to the origin of the species and perhaps how long they've been around.
The enigma to me, and this was something that was very surprising to me as my knowledge or
at least familiarity with various claims of Sasquatch, Yawai encounters and Yeran and
etc.
Was that despite potential aeons of separation, that at the very least they've been apart for
quite a long time, many thousands of years from their relatives across the globe,
but still, the behaviors are incredibly consistent.
If you check out Yawi reports and contrast them with Sasquatch reports or skunk ape reports
or, you know, fill in the blank, there is an incredible consistency that I wouldn't have
personally expected, that I would have expected there would be a lot of behavioral differences
between them. And that could be just due to the fact that we know so very little about them,
that we don't have enough to compare other than these very quick claims. And again,
most Sasquatch sightings and encounters are literally a matter of seconds. So it's hard to extrapolate
a whole lot of detail from those. But surprisingly, people that experience Yawis around them
versus, let's say, Sasquatch, the whooping is very consistent. The tree knocking is still
very consistent between the two. The vocalizations are surprisingly consistent as well. And those people
that have claimed to have heard Yahweh's talk, they also did.
describe it as like the samurai chatter, like the Sierra sounds. And so everything about them seems
incredibly consistent for species that have been separated for potentially tens of thousands of
years or better. So does that, what does that mean? I don't know, but it is curious to me.
So those are the enigmas of Bigfoot, at least the superficial ones, the big, glaring questions
that have occurred to me as I've been covering this,
then I don't, again, have answers for you,
but I think that a big part of what we do is,
is certainly have discussions and maybe compare notes,
compare ideas.
And we may be absolutely right or completely wrong,
but I think we stand to be able to learn from each other,
and that's very powerful.
I think the big takeaway of all of our interest in this is that we really do want,
to learn more. We want to understand this and we want to be able to move forward with it,
but unfortunately, since established scientific communities have dismissed the potential of a large
hominoid being existing not only in North America, but the world at large, it's been left
to everyday people to take up the mantle to establish the fact of Bigfoot's presence in the
world. And this Herkulean effort is done by the blood, sweat, and tears. And this Herculesian effort is done by the
blood, sweat, and tears of those who are interested in bringing this truth to the world.
So it's people like you and me, I guess, because no one else is really picking up that mantle
and moving that needle incredibly forward in our authoritative world, meaning the biologists
and scientists and such.
They seem to have just dismissed it.
Well, it just doesn't fit into our worldview, so there's nothing there.
move along. And obviously there's something there because people are experiencing something
incredibly powerful and profound. And to have that just systematically dismissed to me is horrible.
It's a crime, truly. Because, and I got to echo the words of Carrie Arnold of Bigfoot Odyssey,
who was a dear friend. And I really thought he was dead on with this. He said,
people have a right to know.
You have a right to know when you're packing up the family,
the wife and kids and heading out into the deep forest to go camping.
You have the right to know that there might be an eight to ten foot tall
hairy hominoid being out there who may not want you there.
You have a right to know.
Now, I don't pretend to know whether or not people get killed or disappeared by these things.
but maybe they do. Certainly there seems to be plenty of evidence of people mysteriously disappearing
in the wilds of America. So this could certainly be one of those causes and people have a right to know.
So I think that that's important. But it's going to be, it seems to be left to the lay people to
sort this out. And my hat goes off to anybody that's out there looking, trying to understand.
it's not an easy road and, you know, there's any number of issues with the efforts that are
already underway. And I'm not going to speak to those in this episode, but at least people are
trying and trying to bring some truth to light because we have a right to know. And this brings
me to the final point that I wanted to make in discussing all of this with you guys. And that is,
and this is a point that I think is largely dismissed by a significant portion of the world,
and that is the value of the witnesses.
We have so very little to go on with our ability to discover and learn about these enigmatic beings
that are in the wilds of the world.
and I think that the witnesses are the one window that we have into what's going on with these
incredible beings.
It's the single best tool that we have available right now.
Witnesses' observations have helped to form a behavioral profile about Bigfoot.
And meaning that when you hear enough,
witness testimonials, which is the meat and potatoes of this show.
And one of the reasons I love Sasquatch Chronicles and I always have.
I've always loved hearing from the people that experienced these events.
And I've always really been moved by the passion and the power and the emotion that
those individuals have obviously experienced in the face of these incredible,
and terrifying events.
But throughout a course of hearing enough testimonials, you can start to extrapolate
consistencies.
And likewise, and in contrary, inconsistencies.
And maybe that's after enough reports, you get somewhat of a litmus test that you can
apply to different testimonials as they come in, because
through a consistent number of reports having a consistent number of behaviors,
it does give you a baseline in which to look at its behavioral aspects of these reports
and decide, what do you think?
Is this legit or is it not?
And I'm not saying it's foolproof.
There's certainly plenty of opportunity for people to observe something new and unusual
that's never been seen before.
But at least it gives us somewhat of a baseline to work with.
Now, again, through enough reports, you get these known behaviors or quote unquote known behaviors.
And these give us the opportunity to kind of get into the mind of the Sasquatch.
Maybe we can get a glimpse as to what's going on in their minds that causes these events to happen.
Is there something going on?
Is there certain activities that seem to consistently draw their curiosity or their ire and get them upset?
And through enough reports and through comparing those reports, maybe we can kind of establish a behavioral model of the Bigfoot.
And I think that many of us have, whether consciously or unconsciously.
but the importance of this is that it truly does give us the maybe a predictive model to work with
in terms of looking into the Bigfoot phenomena, that when you examine enough witness testimony
and you examine and or extrapolate enough consistencies in behavioral reports and observations,
then perhaps you can understand a little bit of the cognitive processes behind these strange
beings and maybe be able to better predict future behaviors and or elicit future behaviors
based upon those.
And that wouldn't be possible without witness testimonies.
Now, think about in terms of like the FBI.
and tracking serial killers and trying to get ahead of serial killers.
And what do they do?
They have these profilers, these people that are experts at looking at these criminal behaviors
and understanding what's going on in the mind of these offenders and these monsters and these
monsters, for lack of a better term, or maybe it's a perfect term, as the case is.
But with those profilers, it does give.
law enforcement, the ability to possibly defeat this horrible events. And I think that the same
model can be applied to witness testimonies, what people have experienced, what we can learn from
those experiences, and how we can apply that. And if we can create predictive models based
upon witness testimonies, then for those that are out there looking, for those people
that are researching and such, it would give them so much more to work on if they would go through
and pull these pieces of information together. And so I think that witness testimony is
incredibly, incredibly powerful. And not only is the witness testimony valuable in that
it does give us a window into what happened, what we can learn from it.
and how we can apply that knowledge and potential data points.
But it's also true, and I've learned this through the years of doing the portal,
is that for as many people as I've talked to that have had experiences,
I believe that there are so many more out there that have never told anybody about their experiences.
But there's one phenomenon that continues to happen on my shows,
and I get these emails from people.
I was listening to such and such episode.
And it really hit home for me because I experienced something very similar and I would
like to come on your show and talk about it.
And so by people stepping forward, coming forward and sharing what they'd experienced,
it has this incredibly empowering effect on other people that haven't, that they decide,
hey, that's like my story. I should come and talk about my story. I should see what they think of this.
And so many times by witnesses telling their experiences, and I know so many of you,
having heard so many of these shows where witnesses have come forward, one of the biggest things
people say is, I've never talked about this before. It feels so good to finally get it out.
and it does it does have such a cathartic healing effect on the witnesses themselves because they have a
forum they have a place and an opportunity to share this and and the benefits of that are just so
manyfold and it's so incredibly important for people to come forward and and to share it for all
of those reasons and more i think it's just the more knowledge the more
more experiences that are shared, the more knowledge that we can extrapolate from them,
the more it's going to move this needle forward.
And so I really think that witness testimony is often underrated, but I think it's the most
profound tool that we have.
And to any of you out there listening who have come forward and shared your experiences
on Wes's show, I think I just need to let you know that that's an incredibly brave thing to
do. And your, your stories have been incredibly powerful and have, have done so much for so many of us
out here listening. So thank you for your courage to come forward and your trust in Wes and his
show, Sasquatch Chronicles, to share it. Because it really does have a snowball effect. It really does
help, even those that are hearing it, maybe hearing you share a similar story helps them feel like they're
not so alone. So there's so many benefits to coming forward and sharing experiences. And so I just
wanted to take a moment to express that because oftentimes the skeptics would say, well,
you can't really trust a witness. They just don't, you know, they're, they're unpredictable,
unreliable. But I disagree. And that's where the body of reports is so important because maybe a
witness is unreliable, but all witnesses, all of them are unreliable? That doesn't make sense.
That's a mathematic impossibility. There's, even if there are some people that come out and make
it up because they want to have their five minutes or 15 minutes or their episode that's theirs
where they got out and said something and people paid attention, there are those people.
but I think there's so many more that just want to express this thing that they've been carrying
for so long and they want to share it in a place where it's welcomed and appreciated.
So my hat's off to you, those of you who have come forward and shared your experiences,
it is a huge thing and it helps more than you know.
I just want to say also, I know that in talking here on the show that you all are incredibly passionate about this subject, and I think that's wonderful.
And I really do believe that we all hold a piece of this incredible puzzle.
And while the efforts of those getting out into the wilds and looking for clues of Bigfoot is invaluable, I truly believe that the key.
to shaping future research efforts and techniques and just lies in the in hearing people's
firsthand experiences. Now, before I go, first of all, I want to thank you all for putting up with me
and special thanks to Wes for letting me do this today. This is, this has been a lot of fun and I hope
that my show has been entertaining and somewhat informative to some of you, but all the same,
It's been an incredible experience and I really enjoy this.
But before I go, I wanted to give you guys a list.
I know that oftentimes we regard a lot of evidence that's posted online as a lot of garbage.
And I think there's plenty of garbage out there.
Don't get me wrong.
But I do think there's some incredible gems that can be found online.
This is just a handful of.
some videos that I really think really represents potentially the real thing now.
Some of them I'm absolutely convinced that I'm going to mention to you.
Like beyond a shadow of a doubt, I am convinced this is the real thing.
Others, I think very well might be, but I don't pretend to know enough about the backstory
and all that was claimed in it.
but I still find them visually intriguing and potentially the real thing.
But I'd love to hear your guys' comments regarding this little short list.
It's only six items.
And these are some Bigfoot videos that I really think represent.
What may be the real thing?
But I'd love to hear your thoughts on it as well.
So feel free to comment on the episode or email me at Paranormal Portal Radio.
at gmail.com.
So my big number one, and this has always been the case since pretty much after I first really
looked into it years and years ago.
But of course, the Patterson Gimlin footage, I think it's become the staple of what evidence
should look like.
And I'm really on board with this being a very sincere capture.
having had the incredible opportunity to interview Bob Gimlin himself, but as well as get to know him a
little bit, I truly believe this man is incredible, but I found him to be the most sincere
down-to-earth person that I've ever had the opportunity to talk to in my life.
There's something about talking to Bob that really was special.
I don't know how else to say it.
I've done a lot of interviews through the years.
And when I talked to Bob, I just felt special that I was there talking to Bob.
And it's not because he did anything extraordinary, but it's just the man he is.
And I don't know how else to say it.
It's, I think we all know somebody like that in our lives, that when you know them,
you just feel really glad that you do and you feel very fortunate for that.
experience and Bob Gimlin is that person for me and I have no doubt that what he experienced is
exactly what he has been telling people he experienced and it is exactly what that video shows.
There's so many people that have picked that apart to either debunk it or reinforce that it's
real and but ultimately you have to come to your own conclusions on that but I think there's
been enough people that have really demonstrated in many different manners and ways,
and by explanation, why that is the real thing.
So that is my number one, always will be.
My number two is the Freeman footage from Paul Freeman in Washington State.
And I never talked to Paul Freeman.
I obviously didn't get into the game until long after Paul.
had already passed, but I did have the wonderful opportunity to get to know his son, Michael,
who has been really carrying the mantle of his father's work and has done a lot to continue,
not only talking about that incredible footage in his father's experiences, but also letting
us know the man that his father was. And I've really come to really enjoy knowing Michael.
He is an incredible guy, and I think this footage is amazing.
I think the stories of his father and his father's experiences are amazing.
And there's a lot about that man that never was known.
And Paul Freeman, much like Bob Gimlin and Roger Patterson, took a lot of attacks,
took a lot on the chin for just trying to bring this truth out.
people know what's out in the out in these wilds. And there's certainly not enough reason for them
to do that, in my opinion, to take these incredible beatings of, you know, attacks of their
character and their integrity unless what they were doing was representing the truth. And so,
again, take a look at the Freeman footage. And any of these that I mentioned, look them up.
if you are not familiar with them, but these are my top two for certain.
Now, another one that I find pretty compelling, and it's not long, it's just a little clip,
but it's the Harley Hoffman Sasquatch video, and apparently it comes from 2001 from up in British Columbia,
but it's pretty impressive because, again, it seems to really demonstrate musculature that you can see flex.
and changing underneath the surface of the skin.
And to me, that's a pretty incredible thing.
So look that one up if you're not familiar with it.
I think it's really powerful.
Number four, and these last ones aren't in any specific order,
but number one is definitely the Patterson Gimlin film.
Number two is definitely the Freeman films.
I think they're amazing.
But the next one, number four on my list,
is the Stacey Brown thermal footage from out of Florida.
I think that was incredible.
And it was a quick capture.
It's not a long film.
It's not a long clip.
But I do know that James Bobo Faye did go to that same location and tried to
recreate it.
And Bobo's like six foot four.
He's a big guy.
But he looked like a dwe.
Worf next to whatever was depicted in that thermal footage. And so I, and I have had the benefit of
talking to Stacey about that experience with his dad and what they captured and how that went.
And he's another wonderful guy. I really think he's a man of integrity and a really cool person.
So if you're not familiar with that thermal footage, check it out. You can find it on,
I suppose you can find it on YouTube, but perhaps if you reached out to Stacey, he can give you
some pointers on where to find it as well. He's on social media, Stacey Brown Jr.
All right, another one that I really love, and I've always, again, I don't know much of the
backstory of this one, but visually I found this to be absolutely compelling.
And thinker-thunker did a really good breakdown of this video about, I think about six years ago
or maybe four years ago, whenever he did it.
But this is the Russian hopping bigfoot.
And if you go to Thinker Thunker's channel on YouTube,
he does a breakdown of the,
and it's called the Russian hopping bigfoot.
So check it out.
I just think that what you can see of this being,
its physiology is pretty incredible.
The size of it is absolutely impressive.
It goes on all fours.
It goes on two feet hopping.
It's just a really impressive display of physicality, in my opinion.
And there's one point of this footage where the figure's hopping away.
And its arms are stretched out as it hops in like a T position.
And you can really see how long these arms are.
And they are extraordinarily long, which is so consistent with so many reports of people seeing them firsthand.
And so I saw that and went, oh, I think that's the.
real thing. So that's the Russian hopping bigfoot. Now, some people criticize it like, well,
they're not scared. Well, maybe that's not the first time they'd seen it. Maybe they'd seen that
kind of stuff many times. I don't know. You know, again, you can't assume that just because
you see footage that somebody recorded, that's the first time they ever saw it too. They might be
kind of familiar with the phenomena if they've lived in the region long enough. So perhaps they were
used to see and these things hop by. I don't know. I don't speak Russian, so I don't know what's being
said. But it is a pretty fantastic footage in my opinion. And the next video I think is really
impressive is the Josh Highcliffe video. This is the last one on my list. There's more out there,
but these were the ones that I scribbled down quickly because I wanted to cover this. And Josh
Highcliff, the name of the video, and he has a YouTube channel, you can check out his footage for
yourself. It's Josh Highcliff. And it's, I think I saw a skunk ape, please help. And this is some pretty
impressive footage. He apparently was just out on a hike near the swamps of his area and came upon
this figure, which has its back to him facing this swamp tree. You hear some crackling noises first,
and then you kind of can make out the figure.
Now, I'm going to try to explain this to you as best as I can.
One of the most convincing parts of it to me was, first of all, the sound of that wood popping.
That is not a rotten log.
It's not just the spongy rotten wood.
That wood is pretty solid because those pops are pretty impressive for being caught on a camcorder at that distance.
And the big thing for me was the body mechanics.
you can see that it kind of has its arm at chest level with its elbow out to its right side
and its hand bent in front of its chest grabbing that tree and pulling out to the side and leaning.
And I thought, my God, that's not the body mechanics of a person.
We aren't exceptionally strong pulling like that.
But sure enough, you know, it yanks into it and pop.
That wood pops free.
and I was like, my God, you know, that, that's incredible.
So again, these are my top six that I put together before I recorded this.
I really like these and I think they truly do represent the phenomena, but you be the judge.
These are just my hot takes.
And I just wanted to share them.
So there is stuff out there.
There are gems out there, but I would just be extraordinarily cautious what you subscribe to and buy into.
because I think there's also a lot of useless, fluffy, hoaxy stuff out there too.
So, but anyway, I just want to thank you all for putting up with me.
I had a lot of fun doing this and I really appreciate the opportunity.
If you want to learn more about me and my show, head over to paranormal portal.
That's kind of my main stop for the paranormal portal.
It includes all my social media as well as where I do the live streams,
as well as where to find the paranormal portal podcast.
So thank you so much.
I really enjoyed it.
And y'all have a good day.
Take care now.
