Sasquatch Chronicles - SC EP:1093 I Peed On Sasquatch

Episode Date: September 28, 2024

Kevin writes "Lets jump to my first possible encounter. Age 16 roughly 1999, my buddy gets his first vehicle ( a Chevy S10 ). That summer we decided we're going to take our first trip to the boundary ...waters. Another buddy decided he was going to join us as well. Here we are three 16yr old boys, our gear, and a canoe packed into this tiny truck. We entered the BWCA through the Larch Creek access point on the Gunflint Trail. We spent the next couple days portaging deeper into the wilderness. I don't remember exactly which night of the trip this happened, but it was towards the middle. It was late or early how've good like to think of it and I had to pee. There was a bright moon out, bright enough that I didn't need to bring a flashlight. I didn't stray far from the tent. I found a random rock to pee on and let it fly. This is when I found out my target rock was not a rock at all. It let out a disgusted grunt or breath in not sure which. It went from what I can only imagine was a belly crawl to upright in a blink of and eye and took off running. In the moment I thought I had just peed on a bear cub and that momma was going to be really pissed off. I ran for the tent and got back in. Originally I was closest to the opening of the tent. I got in my sleeping bag and bounced into the middle of my two buddies. Not my proudest moment I'll admit. Well this of course woke them up and after some heated words and a plee on my end, they realized I must have seen something as I was visibly shaken and my eyes were watering from the adrenaline dumping into me and an irrational fear. That night something did come into our camp but without further known incident and nothing further to report. Thinking back on this experience with a clear head, a few things stand out to me. Why did the bear cub come up off the ground and run off like a human or was it the moon light playing tricks? Why the disgust in its tone of exhale an animal wouldn't have that emotion? And why did I panic like I did? I've seen full grown black bear in the wild up close and personal while hunting both in the dark and in the light. I've seen a sow and her cubs and had to talk her down at close range from making a decision that was either going to harm her or myself. There was a irrational fear that came over me. Encounter #2 ( made into a knower not just a believer ) Roughly the summer of 2004 maybe 2005. Like I started in the beginning of my email, I'm an avid outdoorsman. During the summers I live to spend my nights in my boat on the river. Whether alone or with a buddy. This particular night my buddy and I were fishing this barge bay. We run the river full speed at night so I have large HID lights mounted on the front of my boat light truck headlights. We were anchored maybe 15'-20' off shore. One side of the bay was barging equipment, the other old growth Cottonwoods to which the bow of my boat was facing. These old growth trees are huge! So here we are, middle of the night, sitting in my boat in the pitch black. We start hearing movement coming from in the Cottonwoods. I should mention the river banks mainly consist of river silt which dampens sound. The sounds of bipedal walking are getting closer and louder. Again, panic is starting to set in. And again, I do not panic, I'm very calm under pressure. But here I am panicking. Again, it's that irrational fear, eyes watering, chest feels like it's slow motion beating out of my chest. Everything seems to slow down yet speed up at the same time. My buddy is clearly experiencing the same emotions. I flip my headlights on and standing directly in front of us is this gigantic man. You could see the shock in his eyes and on his face when the lights suddenly are turned on and he's caught directly in the beam. He did his best to hide behind a Cottonwood, but he was too large to truly hide behind it. Again, these trees are anywhere between 4'-6' around at the base. Even with having my sidearm on me it never entered my mind that I had it. All I could do was push my buddy out of the way and pull up the anchor and get the hell out of there. We did return a week later. I'm 6'3 220lbs, I'm not small. I stood in the exact spot we saw it and this thing had to be at least a foot maybe foot and a half taller then I and hundreds of pounds heavier. I remember it was dark on color and very hairy. It face was ape like but at the same time humanoid. There was no doubt it was experiencing the same shock, terror, and confusion as we were. And no I'm not projecting human traits into this thing. It was clearly intelligent enough to have those emotions while at the same time knowing to hide and curious enough to pop his head around the tree to watch what we were doing. I do not remember finding any other evidence at that time. Findings May 4th 2015 I decided to go out for a morning hike. The location is very strange for such evidence ( see attached photos ) but again within a few miles of my 2004 or 2005 sighting. I can share actual locations if you'd like to discuss further. While on my hike I was hiking a ridge line away from the paved trail. This is when I came across a tree that was snapped and twisted close to the ground. I'm the photo you can see they are not tiny trees. The amount of force needed to do that damage to a live green tree would be more than any man could ever summon. After finding these trees I was instantly in Investigator mode. This is when I found the print, like I was saying I'm 6'3 220lbs and wear a size 13.5 boot. I oddly enough only found one track but it was roughly 3-4" longer than my boot. I tried to make an impression in the ground but the ground was far too hard as it's still pretty chilly at this time of year in Minnesota.            Encounter #3 ( things get strange ) It's 2018, rifle deer opener. We hunt a very remote area at the end of an old logging road surrounded by Peet bog. One way in one way out. It's not possible to make it through the bogs alive. It's truly one way in or out. We always get up there a couple days prior to opening day. Allows us time to fully set up camp, stands, and do some grouse hunting. It's Thursday night, earlier in the day we had shot a bunch of grouse and cleaned the and through the remains at the end of the woods line in front of our camp. So here we are three of us experienced hunters and skilled outdoorsman sitting around the campfire. It's not super late maybe 2230-2300hrs, but it's plenty dark out. Sun is long gone and there's no light other than the fire glow. I don't remember which of us noticed the lights first, but I'm the protector and was instantly up or off my chair and sidearm was drawn. What we saw was two balls of light far off into the woods. The light color was that of an old lantern. We thought folks were walking towards us with only a lantern. Again, no one should've been able to make it to their location without us noticing. That's when they went out and everything went dead silent. No bugs, owls, birds, coyotes, or wolves. All which we hear on a nightly basis on a normal night. If a gnat would have dated I would've blamed it on one of my buddies it was that quiet. That's when we start hearing walking in front of us in the woods. Same direction as the lights and dead grouse carcasses were discarded. At this point one of my two buddies is out of his chair and moving to my location weapon drawn. So here we stand weapons drawn flashlights pointing in the sound direction. We can still hear the walking but cannot see anything. At the same time the walking stops we hear a voice come from directly behind camp. Very similar to what people describe as the samurai speech. It sounds like someone's trying to speak gibberish but only speaking from the back of their throats. Like a Mongolian throat singer. At this point my other buddy out now or of his chair and weapon drawn setting as the sound seemed to come from only 20' behind him. At the same time myself and my buddy standing next to me spun around to not knowing we were surrounded. This is when the walking that was in front of us took off running, the gibberish continues and then from our now left side a tree cracks and falls. The gibberish stops. And everything seems to grow still again. Needless to say if was a sleepless night. Interesting side note, that impending doom feels did not happen on this experience. In the morning we did find the fallen tree, it was dead but it was the tree we use to site our rifles in on. I should also make mention this year 2024 will mark year 27 that one of the buddies in the story and I have hunted this area. We've been hunting this area with his dad since we were kids. My wife and daughter do not like it up there and get very freaked out. My boys and I have had another incident that I could tell but I'll leave that for another time if you want. I've also had two other experiences with another buddy. Sorry for rambling, it's hard to get a lifetime in 1 email. I recently shifted work gears and I started driving dump truck. I needed a break from leading and directing employees and having the sole responsibilities of a 1.2 million sq ft building on 46 acres for the last 20 years. Driving has allowed a lot of pressure to be lifted off my shoulders, but also has allowed me to listen to your podcast and give me the encouragement to finally tell my experiences. Until now I have never formally told anyone. Yes, my buddies, family have heard most of them but never publicly. Again, sorry for the novel, hopefully I didn't waste too much of your time."

Starting point is 00:00:00 It looked like somebody was bent over and had their head in the window of the deer blind and it either heard me or smelt me and he pulled his head out of the tent and stood straight up and that shocked me. They don't make people that big. The way it moved, almost as if it was gliding across the beach. I've never seen anything moves like that in my life. They were screaming at each other in gibberish. It sounded like a language and they were chuntering away back and forwards, back and forwards, back and forwards.
Starting point is 00:00:54 I know what a bear looks like and there is no way on this planet that what I saw were bears. What happened what are you reporting? Get somebody out here. What's going on now, sir? That's son of a bitch is about six. Bitch is about six foot nine, I don't know. Do you see a bouncer? Yes, I'm looking right in.
Starting point is 00:01:28 Uh-uh. This is Greg Andrews from Orlando, Florida, and you're listening to Sasquatch Chronicles. Welcome to the show, everyone. Thanks for being here tonight. Got a great show plan for you. We'll be chatting with Kevin, and Kevin comes to us from Minnesota, and he'll be sharing the last 20 years of his life with us. And starting with this incident that happened in 1999 where he thought it was a bear cub,
Starting point is 00:02:31 but nothing about a bear cub made sense. I'll kind of like Kevin go into it. If you've had an encounter and you'd like to be on the show, shoot me an email. My email address is Wes at Sasquatch Chronicles.com. And if you get a chance to check out Sasquatch Chronicles.com, you can become a member and get additional shows. But let's jump into it tonight.
Starting point is 00:02:55 I want to welcome Kevin to the show. Kevin, thanks for coming on. Thanks, Wes, for having me on. Yeah, and you had a couple incidences we're going to talk about tonight. And for the audience, if you go to Sasquatch Chronicles.com, I'll post the pictures Kevin sent me underneath this episode. But if you would, Kevin, kind of take me back to 1999. When this very first incident happened, what were you doing?
Starting point is 00:03:23 and what happened? It was myself and two other buddies. We just turned 16. Buddy got his first vehicle. It was a little Chevy S-10. So you can only imagine three teenage boys strapped up in the S-10 driving about six hours north. We were heading up to the Bonderwater.
Starting point is 00:03:43 So packed all of our gear. And, you know, we packed a lot of gear because we didn't know what to do because it was our first time. Had the canoe strapped to the top and off we went. So if you're familiar with the Bonder Waters, they're northern Minnesota, Canadian, Minnesota border, canoe-in area only, you can go miles and miles and miles and miles into the remote by canoe. So we spent probably three days, maybe four days canoe and back, portaging through just amazing time, beautiful wilderness. Saw some moose, saw some other animals. night four comes around and we only packed one tent.
Starting point is 00:04:28 So there's three of us in the single tent. I was closest to the door. I got out of the tent because I had to use the bathroom. It was pretty bright out. I didn't need to bring my flashlight. I don't know if it was a full moon or if it was just super bright, but it was bright enough that I could see. I got out and I didn't stumble too far away from the tent.
Starting point is 00:04:49 It's pretty late at night. get out and start relieving myself on my targeted rock that I was using. And said targeted rock went from on the ground to standing up in a blink of an eye. I mean, this thing was on the ground and up. You couldn't imagine how fast it was up. It just didn't seem like it was a person that used his arms and got up, you know, slow movement. This thing went from ground to up in a blink of an eye made this weird guttural like disgusted sound as it took a breath out and turned and took off running into the woods.
Starting point is 00:05:39 I have never felt that much panic. Like in my brain, I tried to rationalize what just happened. And I'm like, okay, it's a bear cub. That's a bear cub. Mom's you know, right around the corner. Mom's coming after me. I booked it back into the tent, got back into my sleeping bag, and rolled over my buddies. I don't remember who was in the middle,
Starting point is 00:06:05 but now I'm in the middle. And not my most brave moment of pushing a buddy into the doorway and hopefully the line of, the line of sight, I guess, if they opened the door, you know. But buddies got all upset with me and, you know, what are you doing, wake us up?
Starting point is 00:06:24 It's late at night, and I'm trying to explain to them that I just peed on a bear cub. And, you know, they're thinking I'm full of it. And I'm in such a panic. And these guys know that I don't panic like that when it comes to being in the woods. You know, it's second nature to me. It's home for me in the woods. That's my calm spot. And one of them flipped the flashlight on, look.
Starting point is 00:06:51 at me and instantly he knew that I wasn't full of it that something must have happened because here I am in a dead panic eyes are watering like I'm almost ready to well up and cry and I don't panic like that and I told him I'm like I peed on a bear cub I peed on a bear cup because that's the only way that I could rationalize what just happened like it's so hard to rationalize that something went from the ground stood up. And what stood up was only maybe like three and a half, four feet tall and took off running. You know, could it have been a bear cub size? Maybe.
Starting point is 00:07:39 Maybe. I've seen a lot of bear cubs in my day and, you know, bear cubs don't jump up on two feet, make it disgusted sound like they just got peed on and take off running on two feet. It just doesn't happen. Yeah, nothing about it sounds like a bear cub. Did you actually pee on it? Yeah, yeah. I mean, I found my targeted Round Rock and must have been whatever it was his head.
Starting point is 00:08:04 And I hit my target. And that's right when I hit my target is when it made this like, and stowed up and took off running. And I realize it's kind of, you know, it's late at night. You're half awake. You're getting up to go pee. but was there any details that really stood out to you beyond, you know, this quote unquote bear cup getting up on two legs and running off?
Starting point is 00:08:30 To be honest with you, no. You know, my mind was not in the, all my faculties were not running as smoothly late at night and in the dark for me to pick up any details other than it was bipedal, ran away. I mean, it definitely got up. It definitely had this disgusted, you know, tone to it. And it took off running. I could tell that it was three and a half to four feet tall.
Starting point is 00:09:00 Even at 16, I was probably still 6-1, 6-2 at the time. You know, it was definitely shorter than me by a substantial amount. But other than that, no, I really couldn't have told you other than just the abnormal way that it got up. Like, it didn't push off to get up. It was just down and then up and then gone. Like, how fast this thing moved was insane to me. The way it vocalized, you kind of describe it as being disgusted. Was it like a grunt?
Starting point is 00:09:36 Is that what you were hearing? It was almost like a grunt, but in the fashion that there was emotion behind it. Like, you could hear the emotion of, it was confused that something just did that to it and it was like a and off at one yeah i rather enjoy this encounter kevin because you often hear it go in the opposite way where saskatch will is usually the one peeing on people i i've heard a few cases that where people you know have been peed on by them or their tents have been peed on by them this thing was on the ground. I literally thought I was using a rock as my target in the dark and wasn't the case.
Starting point is 00:10:28 Yeah, and you kind of describe it as, you thought it was a rock at first, and obviously this thing isn't King Kong. I mean, it's a smaller one. Was it balled up? I mean, do you think it was sleeping? No, I think that it was just coming into camp. And I'm just so happy. happened to come out of the tent at the same time as it was crawling into the camp is my best guess because I mean when I say rock I'm not talking you know a big boulder it definitely wasn't curled up I think I was targeting its head you know and I saw that roundness of what would be ahead thinking that it was a rock so I think it was it had to been facing in towards in towards camp because the way that I would have came out you know the tent
Starting point is 00:11:18 and walk towards the perimeter of our camp i wouldn't have turned back around to face the tent to pee so whatever it was i was facing away it was facing in towards camp i don't think it was sleeping i i think it was sneaking into probably you know rate a goody out of one of our packs or something like that and we hang all of our food out of our in our packs you know 30 feet in the air you suspend your packs about so bears aren't you know rummaging and trying to get into your packs and destroying everything. But, you know, there's still all the remnants of stuff in the camp at the same time. Yeah, I'm kind of glad I asked that, you know, because it wasn't like bowled up, you basically peed on its head thinking it was the rock. You know, and these things,
Starting point is 00:12:06 they move, don't get me wrong, black bears are fast. I think they're faster than most people realize. I mean, they can move like a flash and they're gone. But these things, man, I'm telling you, the speed that they move at is a whole different level. And obviously, black bears don't get up on two legs and run off like a man. Yeah, yeah. I mean,
Starting point is 00:12:28 so just put it into perspective, I jumped a bear last weekend while grouse hunting. He came out of the tree. He was up in a tree. It was probably a yearling. And he came down on a tree and I watched him take off running. They move quick. Bears can move very fast,
Starting point is 00:12:46 but not. like this moved. I mean, this was like it was there and in a blink of an eye, it was gone. And it wasn't like, you know, people talk about they melt, they melt into their surrounding. It wasn't like that. It was just how fast this thing moved to get out of where it was. It's understandable that it would be confusion, you know, because of the speed and then getting up on two legs and running off like a man. And, you know, I know that you weren't sure really what you had seen, but take me to 2005 because this incident, you did actually see it. Did this, what happened in 2005, did it happen in this same area?
Starting point is 00:13:28 No, this is a different area. So my first encounter or possible encounter, well, whatever we want to say it is, that happened up in the Bounder Waters. This next encounter happened closer to home. It was on a river bed while I was out catfishing with a buddy. I'll leave the exact space out of it. But I'll tell you where it was, you would never, ever, ever, ever expect. Because there's urban on either side of this river.
Starting point is 00:14:01 I mean, there's a lot of wilderness on either side of the river. But there's still a lot of homes, everything else around. You would never expect to see what we saw. So a little back history where buddy and I are big catfishermen. So we're up late at night, you know, catfishing at nighttime. My boat, I have giant HIDs. And this is kind of right when HIDs were coming into play, headlights on the front of my boat. So it looks like a car going down the river.
Starting point is 00:14:36 Super bright. I can see all the logs. I can see deadheads. You know, if I'm trying to fish a snag, I can see the snag as I'm coming up to it. So here we are. We're fishing a barge bay. The way the boat was positioned was right at the entrance to the barge bay. And the barge bay is probably maybe 150 yards long off the river. We're facing downriver. So front of the boats facing downriver, back of the boats facing upriver. We're right in the entrance. So about 20, 15, 20 yards, or sorry, 15, 20 feet.
Starting point is 00:15:13 in front of us is one side of the shorebank and behind us about another 15, 20 feet, the other side of the shorebank to the barge bay. We're anchored, so we're not moving. We're catfishing. Everything's great time. We start hearing this walking and we're like, you know, it's a long ways for someone to walk out there. Could someone do it?
Starting point is 00:15:37 Absolutely. It's not like it's unheard of people walking out there. It's not too strange. But what got us was this is river silt that's the shorebanks. You know, some of its mud, some of it's river silt. Either way, it muffles your steps. And these steps that were walking towards us were so deep thumping, it was unnerving. It's like, what is going on?
Starting point is 00:16:09 And why is someone walking towards us through the woods with no light? know, not announcing themselves, you know, to be honest with it, they probably didn't even see us. To be absolutely honest, if it was a person, they probably wouldn't have even known that we were out there. It's not like we were making a bunch of racket in our boat. We're just sitting in there, you know, conversing sometimes. Sometimes we'd go outwards without talking to each other. You know, it's just enjoying the peace and quiet in nature. So these footsteps keep getting louder and louder and closer and closer.
Starting point is 00:16:41 and I'm starting to get nervous now. It's like, okay, this is something big coming towards us. You could hear that it was footsteps. It wasn't, you know, a deer walking up or a bear walking up or a cougar walking up. You know, in the last 10, 15 years here in Minnesota, this particular river has had numerous amounts of cats, cougars, coming down at their travel. They're traveling from the Dakotas over into Wisconsin. Big Cat was hit or tracked all the way down the river, got hit by a car in Wisconsin a few years back. I'll give some people that are local, know which river I'm talking about.
Starting point is 00:17:28 But it got to the point where it got so close, but I couldn't see anything that I flipped my H.D. lights on. And it was coming from downriver. So it was walking upriver towards us directly into where my headlights from my boat would be pointing. So I flipped my lights on and in front of us is a, it looked ape-like, but looked very man-like, but huge. again I'm full grown adult at this time I'm 6 3, 220 I'm a big guy you know not a lot of people make me feel small this thing made me feel tiny and you could tell that it looked it had the look of I just got my hand caught in the cookie jar because it got that shocked like oh
Starting point is 00:18:31 shit I just got caught look on his face eyes went real big You know, mouth almost did the like the, ooh, made that, oh, like, oh, oh, you, you caught me. And it tried to talk behind a cottonwood tree. And down on the river here locally, our cottonwoods are huge. You know, they're old growth cottonwoods. These could be, you know, anywhere from three feet around to six feet around, sometimes bigger, you know, if you get a, get a big one. but this thing was standing behind the tree and this tree was probably this one was probably about four foot around somewhere around there um his right hand as he would have been standing towards us
Starting point is 00:19:22 his right hand was all the way around the tree so that tells you how long his arm is because he's he's off to our right his left so his right hand is around the tree and kind of in front of it, you know, 45 quartering off the front of the tree. And he's leaning the opposite direction. So I can see chest. I can see what should be a neck. And a lot of people say that there is no neck.
Starting point is 00:19:48 This one had a really stout neck. Like it wasn't that it was just a head on shoulders. But you could tell that there was where the clavicles should be. That's the beginning of the neck. You know, it had a really huge. jaw line. The nose was manlike, but not, like almost, you know, it looked human, nose, but bigger, a little bit flatter and very flared nostrils.
Starting point is 00:20:25 Now, you could see his nose flare when he was breathing. And it was that sudden like, oh, I got caught. and you can see his nostrils flare, his eyes flare up, his mouth open a little bit. I remember the mouth being big, but I don't remember the mouth being like make me shocked big. I don't know if he didn't open all the way or it was the fact that he just, you know, was making that O shape with his lips. Eyes were big, you know, we're probably talking, I don't know, at least golf ball size eyes. I don't remember if there was whites.
Starting point is 00:21:10 I remember them being very dark eyes. I don't remember if I saw whites around his eyes. Very conical shaped skull. I mean, it definitely was pointed. But it was what got me the most was its reaction. You know, it just knew that it got caught. And it wasn't expecting to all of a sudden be in someone's high beams. You know, and he stood there for, I don't know, it felt like a lifetime.
Starting point is 00:21:45 It was probably only a matter of, you know, 10, 15 seconds. Again, I'm not a guy that panics. You know, I come out of the security world. I come out of doing bail bondsmen. I've come out of doing PI stuff. You know, as I graduated on through my career, I became a, you know, property manager. You know, I've been in a lot of high stress situations and I've always remained calm. You know, I'm a very, you feel your blood slow down when you get into situations.
Starting point is 00:22:23 Everything slows down, but everything speeds up at the same time. And I panicked. I absolutely panicked. my buddy out of the way. I pulled anchor and we ripped out of there. We were gone, you know. We did come back, you know, maybe a week later. And I stood at the same exact spot. It's not like it's the first time we fished it. We knew exactly where it was, seen the tree, you know, a thousand times. stood there, whatever this thing was, was a minimum of a foot, foot and a half taller than me. And that doesn't sound like too much.
Starting point is 00:23:06 You know, that's what, seven and a half feet, you know, that's not a huge, huge human. It's a big human, but it's not outright. But the sheer size and girth of this thing was massive. I mean, absolutely massive. I'm 220 and it had to be three. pounds more than me. I'm not going to say it was 800 pounds. I don't think it was that big, but I would, I'd put it out of $5.5.50, easy. It was a big boy. And I think you said it in the beginning, but I missed it, Kevin. How far away from you is this creature? Well, so like I said,
Starting point is 00:23:45 I was about 15, 20 feet offshore, and there was probably, probably 10 feet ashore. And there was probably 10 feet of shore and then tree line and it was right at the tree line so you know we're talking between 20 and 30 feet away from us you know probably probably closer to the 30 foot away from us still close enough to see everything but far enough away but I'll tell you what it gave me a fear that I don't experience and I felt like if it was close enough that if it wanted to it would have been next to my boat or in my boat within a blink of an eye. It just gave that impression that if it wanted to, it could be right where we were in no time at all. You know, that overwhelming dread and fear a lot of people describe in their encounters.
Starting point is 00:24:45 And, you know, I know what they're talking about because I've experienced it. But for the audience, I mean, what was it about this thing that brought up so much fear in you? Was it just seeing something unknown? No, Wes, I've tried to figure that out. I've done some deep, dark soul searching as to why it affected me the way that it did. And I don't know. A little back history to me. I grew up in a very abusive household.
Starting point is 00:25:18 broken bones, broken everything. You know, it was a bad situation. I ran away at 13 years old. About a week before my 13th birthday, I ran away. You know, I lived in the woods. My wife calls me Peter Pan. Like, to this day, I still have a lot of traits where, you know, she says I'm like Peter Pan without my lost boys.
Starting point is 00:25:40 And, you know, that doesn't mean that I didn't have places to stay from 13 to, I think I was, 17 before I was able to actually get my first apartment here in Minnesota. I got my first place to live from 13 to 17. You know, that being said, I had tons of buddies' parents, you know, I shouldn't say tons. I had two different buddies' parents that really took me in as if I was their own. They were amazing. I wish I could give back to them more than I could or can. You know, these guys did everything they could, but I spent a lot of time in the woods alone by myself.
Starting point is 00:26:23 I'm very, very, very comfortable in the woods. Like I said, it's home to me. You know, being a runaway living in the woods, I'm a hunter, I'm a fisherman. I've spent so much time in the woods. That is my, that is my safe space. You know, when I'm stressed out, I go to the woods, I go for a hike. It calms me down. I don't panic.
Starting point is 00:26:47 I don't panic in the woods. I've seen bears up close. I've had a mother and cubs, you know, charge me. I had to talk the mom out of, you know, coming any closer because she did the bluff charge and up about 10 feet away from us. There's up away from me and another buddy that was hunting with me or a grouse hunting. She stood up and I'm having to talk her down like, you know, don't do it, don't do it. I didn't understand me.
Starting point is 00:27:11 Of course, it's a bear. But I didn't panic. You know, I've seen cougars. in the woods. I've seen bears. I've seen wolves. We've got tons and tons of wolves up here. I don't know. To answer your question, long story short, I don't know why I felt the way that I did. I don't know if it was, I didn't hear any, you know, people talked about hearing this infrasound and that I didn't feel anything. There was no audible. I didn't feel my chest rattling, you know, something to give you that nervous feeling. Didn't feel anything like that. I don't
Starting point is 00:27:45 know if it was just what shouldn't exist is now in front of me or was it something else? I don't know. I wish I knew. Yeah, it's really hard to explain why that overwhelming fear and doom comes over you when you encounter these things. You know, you saw its expression change. Did the same kind of look like a man? Yeah. I mean, it looked it looked like a perfect blend between
Starting point is 00:28:18 man and ape. I mean, very ape-like, but, you know, attributing man features. Like, it didn't have that gorilla nose, that real super flat, you know,
Starting point is 00:28:32 flat nostril nose. It had a human-style nose that protruded out, but with a nasal passage that was a lot larger. It flared a whole lot more. The mouth was thinner. Maybe the mouth itself wasn't thinner, but the lips were thinner. It didn't look like it was overly, it wasn't oddly shaped mouth. It wasn't like it was huge. It seemed
Starting point is 00:29:03 pretty proportionate for the size of head that it had. And the head was huge. The head was definitely very large. So the mouth was large, but it was proportioned to the head. The eyes, like I said, were golf ball size eyes. I don't remember seeing whites. I just remember seeing really dark color. There was no eye shine. And, you know, I'm hitting this with HD lights. If anything is going to give it some shine, you'd think these headlights would definitely, definitely give it. But it didn't. I mean, I don't know. if it just pushed past, you know, that reflective lens in the back of the eye, it had eyebrows. You know, it definitely had so like the eyebrow ridge was definitely larger.
Starting point is 00:29:52 I mean, you could almost contribute it to, you know, Neanderthal, that real heavy, deep set brow. But it had eyebrows as well, like that articulated. Like, that was part of its expression was like where the eyebrows should be, not necessarily that there were eyebrow hair, because it was a lot of hair on, you know, from forehead up was a lot of hair. But its eyebrows articulated like our eyebrows do. When we make expressions, that's the same way that its eyebrows articulated. I didn't see ears. Conical head, very, you know, very heavily. haired. I mean, definitely top of the head had a lot of hair. Shoulders seem to be thicker,
Starting point is 00:30:44 along with the top of like the pectoral muscles, seem to be thicker, heavier, a little bit longer hair. And I'm going to say hair because it's not fur. You know, you can see animals have fur. It's totally different. This thing, it was definitely hair. Didn't look like it had an undercoat. It's not like it, it just looked like the hair was so dense that it would have repelled water. We're, you know, done pretty well with repelling temperatures and that type of stuff. The hand was huge. I don't remember seeing the left hand, but the hand that I did see that was wrapped around holding the tree, you know, that wasn't my primary focus by any means. definitely on what its actions were and its facial expressions and what really got me. But I do remember seeing the hand.
Starting point is 00:31:38 And I've got a pretty big, blocky hand. And this thing makes my hands look tiny. I'm like a toddler. I'm trying to think. I don't remember seeing teeth on it. I don't remember his mouth ever really opening up. And I keep saying he. I didn't see breasts.
Starting point is 00:31:58 I didn't see anything like that. I'm just generalizing that it was a male. Nothing screamed to me that it was a female. It screamed male. And again, I don't mean audible, didn't scream at me. It didn't make any noise at me other than like the, who type thing. Like it inhaled and it's inhale.
Starting point is 00:32:20 I remember that pretty well because it was pretty deep and pretty long. It wasn't like it was like we take a breath and it's pretty short. this took a breath in, but it was a sustained long breath, but quick. Yeah, I don't really remember too many other details other than that. My impression from hearing you recount it, it's almost like the creature didn't even know you guys were there. What are your thoughts? Yeah, to be honest with you, I don't think that it even knew we were there whatsoever. That's my honest opinion. I think that it was doing its thing just coming up the river and got caught. I mean, we weren't making it a bunch of noise.
Starting point is 00:33:09 It's not like we're being silent by any means. You know, it's two guys in a boat and we're, you know, sometimes we're silent. Sometimes we're, you know, chatting and but we didn't have any lights on. You know, there was nothing, there was nothing visual that would have stood us out where we were. Um, that being said, there were some backlights in where the barge company is. You know, they always have their parameters pretty lit up. But where this was coming from was from the dark side away from where the barge was. So I think that, I mean, that brings up a good point because we weren't sitting in pitch black.
Starting point is 00:33:50 And by the time this thing, we, I lit this thing up with my headlights. it was right at the edge. So, you know, now that I'm really thinking about it, to be honest, I think it had to have known that we were there. Because now that I'm looking at the, or thinking about the situation, that barge bay is pretty lit up on the ground level. Not so much where the water itself is where we were sitting, but the whole backlit drop, you know, unless it was getting nightblinded by the backdrop and couldn't see us.
Starting point is 00:34:20 I don't know. That's a good question. now I'm second-guessing thinking about what happened and why it happened. Yeah, I would imagine you probably were thinking back six years prior to that weird creature you peed on. Obviously, this one is much bigger. But you know what's strange about these creatures, Kevin? You guys actually leave. The creature didn't leave.
Starting point is 00:34:45 Yeah, no. To be honest with you, the moment I started running through my boat and my boat's only 16 foot, It's not a big boat, so I'm not, you know, but I'm moving pretty quick, and I'm sure it had no idea what I was doing, you know, and at that point, I wasn't paying attention to what it was doing. I was just worried about getting me and my buddy out of there as fast as we possibly could. I want to left, too, especially with how close you guys were to this creature. You know, I'd like to talk about this last incident that happened 13 years later in 2000. And it's a very strange encounter. But before we do, you had sent me some pictures that you took back in 2015.
Starting point is 00:35:33 And from your email you had mentioned, it was in the same area where you had this citing. And I'll post some pictures. But tell me about this evidence that you found. Yeah. So this is where it gets even weirder for me. So again, this stretch of risk. river, you know, yes, there are woods and, you know, on both sides. And if something wanted to stay hidden, it easily could stay hidden. You know, it's not like, it's not like there's houses just straight up butted up to the river. In 2015, May 4th, I was out for a hike. Again, this is where I, what I like to do. So I'm out hiking and putting two and two,
Starting point is 00:36:21 together where this barge bay was where my incident happened or I saw it and 2015 these are pretty kitty corner to each other. I mean the stream where I found this and I was hiking along is maybe 400 yards down and on the north side of the river. Where my incident happened was on the south side. This where I found what I found was on the north side. of the river maybe 400 yards down and probably about i would say three quarters of a mile off the river on this trail i'm out walking around it's just myself about walking around it's may 4th minnesota you know grounds still pretty hard at in may you know things are starting to green up a little bit it's it but it's still pretty cold in the mornings and you know this was probably
Starting point is 00:37:21 If I had to look at my time step, I think it was somewhere around 9 a.m. 10 a.m. in the morning. I crested this little ridge and I got off the beaten path. I never liked to take the beaten path. I want to see what other people aren't seeing. So I got up on top of the ridge and I'm walking the ridge line. And I come across the footprint. And again, 6-3, 220, and I wear a 13 and a half boot. I placed my foot next to it.
Starting point is 00:37:55 And this thing had to be three to four inches bigger than me. You know, I think I sent you the photo. It's hard to discern just how much bigger from a photo it is. But, yeah, it probably had an inch in front of me and probably at least three inches, two to three inches behind my foot. And, you know, I didn't have a tape measure or anything like that. So I'm using my foot as a scale. but it was substantially wider than my foot as well.
Starting point is 00:38:25 So it wasn't like it was just a long skinny track. This thing was probably a good seven, maybe eight inches wide by 16, 17 inches long, at least. Clear as day, bare footprint. I mean, all the toes were there, everything was there, probably recessed into the ground three inches at least at the probably the deepest of the impression was probably about three inches deep into this hard ground um the strange thing was I didn't find any other impressions but what I did find maybe 20 feet away was two trees and I put my hands around these trees and I sent you some photos of them. I hopefully you got them. I put my hand around it
Starting point is 00:39:29 and I can't put my hand all the way around. It goes about halfway around the tree. And these things at ground level, not 10 feet up, not 12 feet up, not 6 feet up, ground level were twisted and snapped. I had a hard time even moving these trees up because they were a lot. I mean, these were green trees. Like, I had a hard time even moving and trying to bend these trees. Like, I was standing on top of the tree, you know, from on the ground level, trying to grab the other end and pull it up towards me. And I could barely bend these trees. Whatever did this had enough strength that it just twisted it.
Starting point is 00:40:14 You can see all the fibers in the tree twisted and snapped over. And there were two of them. It was like a tree that was growing up and it split, you know, right at ground level. It split. Both were the same size, so definitely growing at the exact same time. But one was completely snapped off and laying on the ground and the other was twisted and broken. It was crazy. You know, and I don't know if you're going to ask or not why I only found one footprint.
Starting point is 00:40:49 But my theory is that is the foot that if it took off and jumped, that was its push off, that would have given it the most force to jump. Because on one side of me, it's kind of a steep hill drops down into a valley, the walking path down there. But on the backside of that is an old dried up riverbed. And you got to drop down about 10 feet into the riverbed, and it's only maybe. You know, eight feet wide, nine feet wide, and then drops up, but it's completely dry. So whatever it was, the way that the footprint was going was towards that ravine, where it could have dropped down into it. So maybe, you know, and again, just, you know, speculating that that was its push off foot. And that's why it made such a deep impression versus no other impression anywhere else.
Starting point is 00:41:46 I actually like your theory a lot. I'm looking at the track now, and it's a pretty good track you got a picture of. And it makes sense. It may have jumped into the ravine and used that foot to push off. I mean, it's going down pretty deep into the soil. And again, I'll post a picture underneath this episode. And even the trees, you know, that isn't weather damage. That looks like something grabbed it and snapped it in half. Very cool. And I really appreciate you sending those to me. I want to jump ahead to 2018, kind of the final incident that happened to you. What were you doing? And what happened? Yeah, so 2018, I was up north with two other buddies. One of the buddies and I, this year is number 27 for us hunting this area. We've been hunting it. His dad took us up there when we were younger. We know these woods like the back of our hands. We've spent a lot of time in these woods.
Starting point is 00:42:54 So we get up, opener's always, you know, Saturday morning. We get up there typically early, early Thursday. That way we can set up camp, do a little grouse hunting, you know, get our stands out and everything ready to rock and roll for opener, deer opener. So we, Thursday, we get up there, we do some set up and take a break. We decide we're going to go do some grouse on, shot a few grouse and got back to camp, cleaned them up, through the carcasses over on the opposite side. So let me give a little perspective of how everything's set up. We're in the middle of absolutely nowhere.
Starting point is 00:43:34 I mean, it's deep woods. No one can get to us. it's an old logging road that we camp directly off of and there's a clearing on either side of this logging road that we use as our camp. One side we keep all of our tents or campers, whatever we have. We kind of horseshoe it around the fire pit that we've built. And then the other side, typically, you know, a vehicle will be over there or, you know, that's our shooting area. you know, if we're target practicing with bows or whatever we're doing. So on the opposite side of the road from us where we would target practice is where we threw
Starting point is 00:44:18 all the grouse bodies, you know, the leftovers, the carcass. Let's go at that. We threw them over right on the woodline. And there's a little ridge that when they went to go clear cut a long time ago, they built this like a little berm. That's dirt berm over there. fully overgrown with bushes and that type of stuff. So we threw it over there.
Starting point is 00:44:41 We're figuring, you know, if a coyote comes in or something like that, we can blast a coyote or, you know, get ourselves some coyote pelts. That night, we're sitting around the fire, just BS and having a good time. And we start seeing these lights coming from the same direction of where we do these carcasses. They're way off in the woods, way far off in the woods. And a little more back history to this. This spot is tons of woods, but surrounding it is all peep bog. Like from this way, it's a one way in and one way out. Like you cannot safely traverse that terrain without peril of losing your life.
Starting point is 00:45:29 I mean, you will literally go into those peat bogs and never come out. And that's where these lights are coming from. and there was two of them and they were amber in color. Like we thought it was somebody got lost and had a lantern, they had a couple lanterns and they were walking up to us, you know, trying to, you know, there's no way they couldn't have seen our big bonfire rolling in front of us. And, you know, but it was far enough away.
Starting point is 00:46:02 There is another little road that it's a trail. You have to have a four or four by four to get back there and really preferably like an actual like UTV or ATV. Even most four by fours aren't making it back there. You're going to have to have big tires and a lift to get back there. There's a guy that's my age and his dad that have been hunting for a long time. We've known them for a long time. They could have been back there and it's kind of that direction of where these lights were coming from. We're like, oh, you know, so-and-so and his dad are up here.
Starting point is 00:46:38 And we thought that's maybe who it was or somebody that's lost. And these lights keep coming and keep coming and keep coming. And now I'm standing up. You know, I'm like, okay, you know, I called out to them and no one answered. I'm like, that's strange. Call out to them again. Maybe they didn't hear me. Still no answer.
Starting point is 00:47:03 Now I'm getting a little, you know, I am very much the protector of my friend group. Like, I will put myself into harm's way and let my buddies get out of there. That's, you know, the complete polar opposite of my, when I was 16 and I pushed my buddy to the front of the tent. I am the complete opposite. I will put myself into harm's way before putting a buddy into harm's way. And so I've got my sidearm drawn. I've got my flashlight.
Starting point is 00:47:30 In my tactical stance, trying to see out who's out there. Why are these people walking up to us? And as soon as my light turns on, my flashlight turns on, these lights go out. And as soon as the lights go out, everything goes dead silent. I mean, it literally was like a light switch turned off and everything was silent. No crickets, no owls, no coyotes, no wolves. There was nothing of sound. It was eerie.
Starting point is 00:48:08 Then we start hearing footsteps. And I'm calling out to them, you know, hey, you know, make yourself known, so and so, you know, so forth. You know, let us know what you're doing, who you are. And nothing. And the footsteps keep coming and keep coming and get closer. Now my other buddy's getting a little uncomfortable with the situation and he gets up from the fire and comes. over to me he's got his his side arm drawn flashlight going in the woods trying to scan to see what's going on and they just keep getting closer and closer these footsteps and uh i'm like okay i'm like all over to my other
Starting point is 00:48:55 buddy i'm like hey are you going to get up over here or what you know we got people walking towards us in the woods in the middle of the night and you know he's just shrugging it off he's like whatever you'll ever meet. He just doesn't, nothing gets them. Um, and this thing, it just keeps getting closer. And then all of a sudden, the walking stops in front of us, and this is bipedal walking. We're fully expecting that there are going to be humans walking towards us in the dark. How they're doing it is beyond me. You can't, you can't go through these. woods in the pitch black you'll never make it i mean the ground's unstable it's up and down all around you know trees falling and all sorts of different stuff in the woods from behind us now this is where
Starting point is 00:49:53 my other body's still sitting at the bonfire from behind him all of a sudden we hear people say the samurai chatter and it's i would say samurai chatter is pretty accurate but it sounds like it's Samurai chatter done by a Mongolian throat singer that way in the super back of your throat, you're not really using your vocal cords so much as you're using sound to talk. And it's like that, you know, that type of talking starts happening behind us. And now my, this other buddy that's still sitting at the bonfire is jumping up. He's in a panic because now this thing's, you know, real close behind him. Then as that thing's talking to our now right, because we spun, it would have been to my original wool, sorry, it would have been to my original right. Now it's out to my left.
Starting point is 00:50:55 A large tree cracks comes tumbling down and that probably happened 100, 150 feet away from us. The talking in the back behind us, this jibling. gibberish talk stops. We all of a sudden hear now behind us, the original thing that we were listening to walking takes off running. And it's only one thing running. It's just one. It takes off running. It's huge. Whatever it is, sounds like a freight train running through the woods.
Starting point is 00:51:27 Do do, do, do, do do do do do through the woods. We turn, like, which way is that going? You know, because we hear the noise. We turn and then all of a sudden the gibberish talker takes off. running and we never hear the third one whatever cracked that tree never heard it leave that one was dead silent all we heard was the tree you know crack and fall never heard it leave we didn't go investigate you know if it's still standing there i have seen something in the woods earlier in my life i'm not going to just walk up to it in the pitch black absolutely not not
Starting point is 00:52:06 friendly forest giant not that guy that's not happening um the next morning we got up and kind of discussed it a little bit not really discussed it all that much but we did find the tree um the tree it was a very large tree you know probably 18 19 inches long here are around it's a big tree It was dead. Could it have fallen on its own? Sure. It was a dead tree. It wasn't a rotted tree.
Starting point is 00:52:42 It was just a standing dead that was drying out. There was no winds. It wasn't like it was a windy night. If it was a super windy night, we wouldn't have had a bonfire, you know, raging. We're not out creating forest fires. So there was no reason for this tree to fall down. It definitely got pushed down. And it snapped and was pushed down.
Starting point is 00:53:03 Yeah. There wasn't a lot of sleep that night. In this particular spot, we go almost every single night with having coyotes going off and wolves howling. And, you know, when the wolves are in because the coyotes are silent. You can see that hierarchy. If coyotes are out there howling, the wolves probably aren't in that direct vicinity. You'll hear those coyotes go off and then you'll hear that single lone wolf pop off. And he shuts everything up.
Starting point is 00:53:33 Everything else will shut up as soon as that wolf pops off. But even that night, I mean, even the wolves weren't going off. And there was no other activity in the sense of anything trying to get into our camp. It just was dead silent, eerie silent, you know, silence that you don't normally hear. Yeah, what I find fascinating about this account, Kevin, is the lights. you guys actually saw the lights before the actual encounter. How big do you think those lights were? I know you kind of went over the color.
Starting point is 00:54:12 We literally, I won't even say we. So I'm not going to speak for my two other buddies. I thought they were lanterns. That's how that's the size that they looked. It looked like an old school mantles being lit up inside of a lantern. I don't go into that. particular area. It's not somewhere where we typically, we don't grouse hunt right next to camp. Typically, we go off and go to different spots to grouse hunt. And we don't deer hunt because
Starting point is 00:54:42 that's kind of a in-between space. No one shoots into that area, so we don't really go into it all that much. Last weekend, I told you I jumped that bear. That was a different spot. But I brought one of my boys and his buddy up grouse hunting. And we went into this exact spot. And I can tell you that if I was a dog, all my hackles would have been standing on in the back of my neck. You know, I was on high alert because it's the first time that since that happened, I've been in those woods really paying attention to what the topography looked like. And there's no way that it was eye shine because this particular topography, it drops down. And it's kind of a backside of a hill going down into, you know, lower lying peat bog. And even in there, there's old Rutson, you know, washouts back there.
Starting point is 00:55:42 Nothing could have walked flat like those lanterns were, you know. And the distance that they were at my eye level, they had to have been 25 to 30, maybe even closer to 40 foot elevation drop on the backside of this. And they were at eye level thinking that they were just walking through the woods. Not the case. These were up in the trees coming towards us and they were moving pretty flat. I mean, they weren't zigzagging around. Yeah, it wasn't like they were something was controlling, you know, controlling them. They were walking smoothly towards us as if it was almost like someone's eyes and someone was walking.
Starting point is 00:56:24 but couldn't be the case. I mean, it was up in the tree level until it got, until it would have been closer to our camp onto that tree line. And even that, there's a berm right there that berms probably six to seven feet tall. You know, it really put me on edge because I never really realized exactly where those lights were and how high they were up. You know, I say I know those woods like the back of my hands. but that's really one of those stretches that we just don't go in because there was no need to. You know, one buddy hunts on another side and our backs to each other.
Starting point is 00:57:03 So we're never shooting into that general area. So we never really scout it out because it's a no shoot zone. It's a dead zone for us. What you guys experienced at night is kind of what I experienced at the Browns property. And I've talked about it a million times. I won't go into it. But it kind of reminded me of someone with a crappy flashlight. That's kind of what it looked like.
Starting point is 00:57:26 I'm curious to know what you think Sasquatch is, but what do you make of those lights? You know, I've seen the people call them orbs. There's a particular stretch of river back to where we're ta-fish. There's a particular stretch of river where there's a lot of those blue lights, and they are like electric blue. And they just kind of rummage through the woods. Like, you could sit there shorefish and they'll fly all around you, you know, sometimes up at the tree level, dropping all the way down.
Starting point is 00:58:04 And these things are probably the size of, I don't know, I'd say a softball. That's probably the safest bet is about a softball size. I've seen them flying around with, you know, other buddies seeing it. Like, you're seeing this too, right? I'm not nuts, right? these lights are flying around, you know, and, but these were different. Those ones gave off, like, illuminated the light. This in the woods that we saw that I thought was lanterns had such a dull amber color.
Starting point is 00:58:36 Like, they were bright, but they didn't seem like they were, light wasn't coming off of them. It wasn't lighting up everything around them. It was just lighting up it. I don't know. I honestly, I have no idea what it was. I'm not going to say Bigfoot transforms into a little ball of light and floats through the woods, and that's why we never hear them until it's too late. You know, I have no idea.
Starting point is 00:59:05 The lights were there. The lights went out. The locking started. I don't know if they correlate with each other or if it was just some weird coincidence that everything happened at the same time. You know, the tree fell. You know, could have the tree fallen? Yes.
Starting point is 00:59:19 Could I don't, I can't explain the balls of light. I have no idea. It, it baffles me. It baffles me even more now, knowing that the height of where they were originally in the woods, you know, it's been a while. Like, I've been nervous. I go into those woods. I still deer hunt.
Starting point is 00:59:42 You know, I, I have a bear. that likes to poop underneath my deer stand, but he never messes with my deer stand. It's a climber deer stand. And it's at, you know, three feet off the ground. So a perfect level for him to mess with. And whatever it is, bear, it poops at my deer stand. And the first time it did it, I stepped in it, not realizing that it was there. And I'm like, oh, you got to be kidding me.
Starting point is 01:00:09 And then for one whole trip, every morning, there was a fresh pile there. Every morning, it's like, you little shit. You know, I'm still going to hunt here. Yeah, I'm kind of rambling now. That's all right, man. That's funny, though. The bear's like, go get your shine box. Come shine my shoes.
Starting point is 01:00:31 The, I mean, it's a weird coincidence that the lights showed up and then all that other stuff happened. You know, I'm with you. I don't know what the lights are. I've seen them on two occasions. and I don't have an answer. I really, I'm like you, man. I don't know. You know, I ask everyone on the show,
Starting point is 01:00:51 what do you think Sasquatch is? And there's no wrong answer. But what's your take, Kevin? What do you think that these things are? What a good question. It's not a friendly forest giant. It's not something that you want to go. If you see it, don't go trying to go make friends with it.
Starting point is 01:01:12 It doesn't want to make friends with you. I'm in the camp that it is an unknown ape. Does it have a lot of human features? Yes. Could it be some type of in between man and ape, I guess, maybe? Or just how something else evolved, you know, we can't be ignorant enough to think that we're the only things that are going to walk on two feet and be smart. You know, these things definitely have what seem to be intelligence. From everything that I've experienced, they have emotion.
Starting point is 01:01:57 Yeah, I'm going with the unknown ape. I think it's something that's smart enough to stay out of our eye. And it gets caught every once in a while with its hand in the cookie jar. And that's the times that we see them unless they want to be seen. They're not going to be. Yeah, and that's a fair answer. I think a lot of people's minds go that way. Makes you wonder about those lights, though. It's not like a one-time thing. You hear about the lights a lot. And it just makes you stop and go, what in the world is going on here?
Starting point is 01:02:31 I know this is like 20 years of your life. And I really enjoyed chatting with you, Kevin. I really enjoyed. Thank you so much for sending me those pictures as well of the things you captured, you know, the tree and the footprint. And just taking the time to come on, man. I really enjoyed chatting with you. Yeah, no, it's nice to actually talk to someone that knows and doesn't just believe or say they believe you. You know, when you can have an intelligent conversation with somebody that has experienced similar things to you and knows what you're talking about, it's refreshing. It's a weight off the chest to be able to talk about it with someone else that can reach. late. I appreciate it, brother. Thank you again. Yeah, absolutely. Thank you. And that's it for tonight,
Starting point is 01:03:22 everyone. Remember, if you've had an encounter, shoot me an email. My email address is Wes at Sasquatch Chronicles.com. And if you get a chance to check out Sasquatch Chronicles.com, you can become a member and get additional shows. Until next time, everyone.
