Sasquatch Chronicles - SC EP:1255 Strange And Unexplained Part1
Episode Date: May 10, 2026Matt writes "Hey Wes, I have a crazy story from my time on the railroad involving what I believe was a squatch, plus a strange frogman encounter I experienced when I was much younger around 21 or 22. ...I'm turning 42 soon." I spoke with the witness, who is from Massachusetts, and he shared several unsettling experiences that happened while working the rail lines. According to him, there was one particular stretch of track where strange activity was common. During one incident, the train was stopped when he suddenly heard something massive crashing through the air from the tree line about 30 feet behind him. What happened next shocked everyone on site. A tree had been hurled like a spear, striking one of the rail cars with enough force to pierce straight through it, leaving the trunk protruding from both sides. One of his co-workers immediately told him, "That was Sasquatch." The witness went on to describe several other bizarre incidents in the area and said workers were often warned not to talk about what they experienced out there. We will also be speaking to Jacob. In March of 2026 Jacob and his friend were in Florida driving on the highway when they noticed a ball of light following them over the bed of the truck.

The Pentagon releases declassified UFO files.
All right, I'll play along.
I'll see what these two donkeys have to say.
Tim Burchett is with us with more.
I got to first give you credit.
You've been fighting for this information to be made public for a long time.
Thank you for the fight that you're in.
I think it runs a lot deeper.
The most compelling information I saw was from our
our own astronauts on top of the videos, but you know a lot more than that, don't you?
No, Sean. He doesn't.
I do. And I do want to personally thank President Trump for keeping his word to me personally.
We had a long conversation, and I brought that up to him, and he said he was going to get it
out there, and that gummed, he kept his word. And, you know, but I want to warn people,
though, this early stuff that we're seeing is not all of it.
No kidding.
And this is just the tip of the iceberg. But Trump's having to fight.
You know, he's having to fight the deep state.
And it's just, and the next files will be tougher to get, but I suspect he'll get them because he is Trump.
He knows how to work this thing.
Don't hold your breath, Congressman.
And until that day comes, though, there's still going to be more and more and there's going to be more questions.
Okay.
When you watch the S-4, the Bob Lazar story, which I know you're very familiar with.
Sure.
He's saying we have aircraft, do we?
He doesn't know.
I think we do, but I don't think they're quite in our hands.
I think what they've done is handed out to some of our defense contractors or some private entities
because that way they're not foyerable, Freedom of Information Act.
Now we're getting somewhere.
You want to know what the deep state is?
It's not the Wizard of Oz behind the curtain.
It's private contractors.
and in 1950 the U.S. government started using private contractors.
Why?
There was this little kooky incident that happened in 1947 near Roswell.
And Americans generally don't trust the government
and will force them to pass laws to share what they know.
You can submit a Freedom of Information Act
and the government has so much time to where they have to release that information.
but with a third party company,
you can go to Boeing
or any of these other companies
and say, I want to see this,
I want to see that,
and they'll just tell you to go after yourself.
Quite in our hands,
I think what they've done
is handed out to some of our defense contractors
or some private entities
because that way they're not foyerable,
Freedom of Information Act,
say we handed something off to Ford Motor Company.
We haven't, I don't think.
But if we had, me as a congressman,
could not foia that,
from Ford, but I could if it was the FBI, if we really trusted them to give us the right
information, which I don't always. But I think that's what they've done with it. And they've
compartmentalized this stuff so much, Sean, that it's very difficult. You'll have somebody within
one department tell you that it does not exist. We don't, you know, a little guy with the man
bun in the Biden administration telling me we don't have data points on this. And then, you know,
the next week, I'm getting briefed by somebody in his own, in the same alphabet agency that's
tell me that in fact they do exist, and here's the footage of what we're seeing, and we don't know
what they are. And why in the world these pilots, go ahead, I'm sorry.
Well, I mean, the astronauts aren't going to lie, but it makes it seem like a certainty that
people that know like yourself and Marco Rubio that you guys know, that government officials
already know. So hopefully this is the beginning of many disclosures. I mean, I'm sure you've
Watch the age of disclosure.
He was actually in the movie, Sean.
Yeah, I'm in it a little bit.
You're in it?
I saw it.
And thank God for people like Lou Alizondo and so many other real patriots.
Because, you know, Lou sort of like Bob Lazare.
You know, they came out and said, oh, he didn't do that.
And they tried to discredit him.
And, you know, Lazar, they even said he didn't work for him.
And he produced a dad gum check stub to show that he did work for him.
And so, you know, it's the same program.
There's arrogance, there's power, there's control.
They think they know what we can handle, and it's not their business to know that.
And President Trump hit that nail right on the dadgum head.
We really appreciate your hard work, and I think the American people can handle whatever it is,
and I think there is a lot more.
Congressman Burchett, you're doing a great job.
What would you say you do here?
Exactly.
It looked like somebody was bent over and had their head in the window of the deer blind and
it either heard me or smelt me and he pulled his head out of the tent and stood straight up
and that shocked me.
They don't make people that that big.
The way it moved, almost as if it was gliding across the beach.
I've never seen anything moves like that in my life.
They were screaming at each other in gibberish.
It sounded like a language and they were chuntering away back and forwards, back and forwards, back and forwards.
I know what a bear looks like and there is no way on this planet that what I saw were bears.
One, what are you reporting?
Somebody out here.
What's going on now, sir?
That's son of a bitch is about...
Six foot nine, I don't know.
Do you see a male, sir?
Yes, I'm looking right in.
Uh-oh.
This is Alicia from Kennesaw, Georgia, and you're listening to the best podcast on the planet, Sasquatch Chronicles.
Welcome to the show.
Tonight is my part one of strange and unexplained encounters.
We'll be speaking with Matt, and Matt comes to us from Massachusetts, and he had this really weird encounter with what I guess I'll call a person.
I've heard this one other time, and a lot of his details sound like the other person I talked to.
And I kind of passed it off as maybe it was a Sasquatch.
But now I'm not so sure.
I know that's extremely big.
But I'll let Matt go into it.
Matt also worked on the railroad.
And a lot of weird things happened in this one area of the tracks that he would constantly work.
And then we'll be chatting with Jacob.
And back in March, Jacob and a friend of his was returning from a trip down in Florida
when this ball of light was following them.
Jacob told me, you know, as they started to get nervous about it, he turned around and
it blinked out, it was gone.
And tomorrow night is even stranger.
I'll let the members decide on this one.
I'm 50-50 on this one.
I don't know if this guy ran into another human or if he ran into a sad.
And this quote unquote human couldn't really talk. It would just mumble. And when you listen to
the witness's description of this quote unquote person, I mean, it does sound more like a
Sasquatch than it does a person. But that's for tomorrow night. If you've had an encounter
and you'd like to be on the show, shoot me an email. My email address is Wes at
Sasquatch Chronicles.com.
And if you get a chance, check out
Sasquatch Chronicles.com
you can become a member
and get additional shows.
And I'll see the members back tomorrow
night. Let's jump into it.
I want to welcome Matt
to the show. Matt, thanks for
coming on.
Thank you, Wes. Glad to be here.
Yeah, I appreciate you being here.
And the very first encounter I want to talk about
happened to you in the early
2000s. And this
happened out there in Massachusetts.
If you would, walk us into
what happened? What were you doing?
And what'd you end up seeing?
I was
living down in Westport.
It was the late spring of
2006.
My ex's father had found
this pretty cool spot to take the quads
out by some power lines.
It's like the woods
on the edge of Dartmouth and
Westport.
It's been a lot of years since I've been there.
And it was one Saturday morning.
I didn't have any work.
My ex's dad had said, hey, the trailer soaked up to my truck.
If you want to, you know, throw your bike on it and go take it out for a little while.
At that time, my ex and her mother had gone out shopping.
And my daughter was, you know, not even a year old at the time.
So they went off and did their own thing for the day.
And I was like, okay, cool.
So I loaded up my quad.
I had an old blaster at the time.
Mechanically, it was sound.
visually looked like it was being held together with duct tape and bubble gum.
It was just living on a dream.
And he, you know, kind of pointed me in the right direction of where this was.
I'd been there, you know, a couple, a couple three times, but never, never with the quad, just doing, you know, normal hit stuff.
So I got out there, got the, got the quad off to the edge of the trail leading into, like, the power lines, and loaded everything back up in the truck, all the ratchet straps and whatnot, locked the truck up and, you know, went on a,
about my way. I got about, I don't know, 10 or 15 minutes into it. And the way that these power lines
it's literally just straight, but you can see for over two miles, it's just straight. Not a lot of
bumps. And we've gotten quads up, you know, pretty high speed coming through there. I was probably
doing about 40, 45. I also on a note about, I were going back some years. I wasn't really judging
businesses back then, but I'd say probably about three quarters to a mile from where I had parked
the truck. There's a big bull like in the middle of this trail. And we used to, you know, come off the
edge of that trail under the bull, catch air, come down and catch air again on the back side of this
bowl. On the other side of this bowl, there's a giant rock. It's probably about 10 feet tall.
I couldn't even tell you the other. I never really stopped to look at this rock. I mean, it's a rock.
I never really, you know, paid attention to it.
This one particular day is out there by myself.
It's probably about 75 degrees.
I know it was warmer.
I had a T-shirt on.
And I see this guy walk out of the woods
wearing an all blue track suit,
a pair of sunglasses.
He had darker hair.
I don't remember it was black.
I never got close enough to him anyway.
Clean shave face.
And he was kind of moving like jelly.
Like he was so fluid in motion that you didn't like take normal.
steps and he at that point must have heard my quad because he stopped walking forward, turned
his head to the right, looked at me. And then did this, I don't even, it's like, I don't even
how to explain it. It's not a human like motion. He jumped straight up in the air, landed right on
top of this rock and perched up like a frog. I call him a frog man, but he didn't like bend his knees
and jump. You know what I mean? Like a normal person when they're about to jump. It's like he jumped off
the balls of his feet and is like, I can't explain it. Nobody can jump like that. Like, it's a weird,
it was so weird. And when you landed, perched up like a frog, blood on the ground, knees,
you know, kind of pointed up to his chest and feet right between his, their hands right between
his feet. Looks like a frog. That's why I call him the frog man. I don't, I don't know what else
the, and his head was bobbing up and down. It creeped the shit out of me. I slammed on front and back
breaks in my quad and just looked at it for a second and his head was just doing this weird bob thing.
blew a donut right there in the trail went right back to the truck. That wasn't yet involved in that.
No way, no way. It weirdest thing I've ever seen. It creeped me out. I try to tell him my,
my ex the time about it. She's like, what are you really saying right now? I'm like, never mind.
I guess nothing. I saw nothing. Never mind. And I got, when I got back to the house, my ex's dad
was like, damn, that was quick. And I was like, yeah, I guess I'm just not feeling it today.
But that was the incident that happened down in Westport, Dartmouth area 20 years ago.
2006.
How far away from you was he, Matt?
And if you would, would you describe him?
Well, I'm six foot tall, and I've stood next to this rock before.
And the rocks, like I said, it's got to easily 10 feet.
It's taller than I am, much taller than I am.
I'd have to climb up it.
There's no way anybody could jump that high.
And I've got friends that do CrossFit.
I even have a friend who owns a CrossFit gym.
And there's no way.
There's absolutely no way.
without doing some sort of knee bending.
As far as how far away he was, probably 50 yards, 60 yards, maybe.
His overall appearance, did it appear like a man or did it appear like a frog?
No, he looked completely human.
That's the part that was weird.
It was completely human, just like a normal Joe.
If you saw him on the side of the road, you wouldn't even think about it.
I was just so crazy, I've never been back to this spot even.
I lived down in that area for another seven years.
I never once went back there because of it.
That's how much it creeped me out.
It's like he didn't even jump.
He just like something picked him up off the ground and placed him.
Like that's how, like there was no body movement when he jumped.
It just poof.
It looked like Mario.
You know what I mean?
Like right up.
Like right up.
Just perched up on a rock.
And his head was doing this weird bobble thing.
It was, it was very odd.
Very odd.
Just a normal person.
It was clean shaved, you know, normal looking face, normal looking mouth, nose, ears.
Everything was normal.
A pair of sunglasses.
That was it.
I remember the sunglasses because it wasn't really
it was like partly cloudy
like it wasn't you know what I mean like I didn't
I was riding a quad and I didn't even have glasses on
and I was like why is he wearing sunglasses
it's not even that bright out he was in the woods
you know I don't know it was one of those things
that stuck out to me over the years thinking about it
and you know trying to try to make some rationalization
of somebody moving in a like non-human way
you know I think it's in Ohio
they have the Loveland
frog, frog man, and I've never really paid that much attention to it. About three years ago,
there was a guy in your general area that I interviewed. He didn't want it to air on the show
because it was so weird, but it was at night. And what he told me that he saw was this
humanoid figure. He said, it looked like a man. He's more or less watching the outline of
of this thing, a little bit more than an outline, but
I remember him talking about the way it jumped and the way it kind of landed,
and he described it kind of like a frog, like how you are.
And, you know, I was thinking of maybe the Loveland frog incident,
but I mean, this sounds like a man.
I mean, well, he has a appearance anyway.
What do you think it was?
Do you think it was someone who was, like, possessed?
I have no idea.
I mean, I've, I honestly have no idea.
I had no idea.
For a long time, I didn't even think about it.
I'm like, maybe I just didn't see that.
That's fine.
But, you know, I did.
I know what I saw.
I was there.
It freaked me out enough to, you know, to beat on my quad a little more and rip a pretty big donut and go away.
And it's crazy.
As I was riding back, you know, at full speed at this point, I turned my head and look back.
He was still sitting on the rock.
Like, I know we, you know, other instances of like,
Sasquatch will walk people out of the woods, chase him out, you know, intimidation.
This guy did nothing.
He just sat, continued until I lost sight of him.
That was the end of it.
I mean, soon I looked out of my glance, he was still there, freaked out again,
kept driving.
That was it.
Never looked back further past that point.
It was the most creepest thing I've ever seen.
I didn't know somebody could jump like that.
It's a pretty high jump.
Like, nobody, I don't, there's no way.
I don't care of it if you, how far you bent down to the ground to get leveraged.
There's no way you could jump 10.
feet. It's easily 10 feet.
Yeah, it's very strange.
And he was wearing clothes and everything?
Yeah, an all blue track suit.
Yeah, now it makes me wonder, well, I wonder what you saw, but now it makes me wonder what
that other guy saw, because I know he was kind of in your same general area of Dartmouth.
Yeah, that's right on the Westport line.
That's right where I was.
Like, if you drive far enough into those woods, if you go past that bowl where he was,
where he did that weird frog jump, probably another.
Oh, Jesus, I've got 200 yards.
You're in Dartmouth.
Yeah, now I'm really going back and kind of thinking about that interview I had with that guy
because he kind of said the same thing.
His was at night, though.
It wasn't during the day.
And it was a little bit better than an outline.
But I remember him talking about, he said it was kind of humanoid.
I mean, it reminded him of a man.
And it kind of did the same thing.
Like it would jump really high and really far.
and he said when it would land, it would land like a frog.
And I was seeking Sasquatch at the time,
but I'd never heard of them doing something like that.
Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised.
It was the same person or a thing or whatever.
I saw him clear his day.
It was 1 o'clock in the afternoon, maybe noon time.
I saw him clear as clear as day.
It's weird.
Like I said, I saw him come out of the woods,
and I didn't think anything of it
until he did that weird jump and just a full verse.
jump like it like without any kind of you know any kind of physical exertion just jumped right up
you know I interviewed this guy this veteran this is many many shows ago and he was telling me when
he was in Iraq he was walking down this alleyway a pretty wide alleyway and he sees this guy
and they make eye contact and then the guy walks up the wall
And I said, whoa, what do you mean?
He walked up the wall.
Like he goes, yeah, exactly.
He walked up the wall like gravity didn't apply to this guy.
And I was like, was he, was it a ghost?
And he's like, no.
This looked like any other villager.
He had clothes.
I mean, he was solid.
And he just walked right up this wall.
And it freaked this guy out.
I remember the soldier, I guess he talked to the locals.
And they basically told him he had run into.
a gin, which in the Muslim culture is the same thing as like in the Christian culture,
we call them demons. But it was a strange account. I mean, I don't know if it was something
like that that you ran into. I don't know. I'm kind of at a loss. Even the gin story,
it was kind of at a loss. I have no idea. I never questioned it afterwards. I thought about
it. There's one of those things you got to keep to yourself. I remember a couple months after,
I tell my mom about it. And she was, you know, she's like, what are you, what are you saying right
out. I'm like, I guess nothing.
Remind. Everybody was, you know,
the two people I've told about this were, you know,
pretty in disbelief. And I was like,
okay, I guess I'm just, how about those,
how about those, we have a saying here, how about those red socks?
Just to change the subject. How about
those red socks? Yeah, I hear you.
I really wish I had a better answer for you. I've only heard it
one other time. And like I said, I mean,
looking back now, I'm kind of wondering what
that guy actually saw. Tell me
about working for the railroad.
And some of the different things that have happened out there.
When was this?
And if you would, kind of walk me into some of this strangeness that happened out there.
This was only a couple years ago.
So like I had said, I'd been in my industry for 20-something years.
And I got sick of it.
You know, I needed a change of pace.
So I'd seen an ad for railroad.
And I was, okay, cool.
Let's try it.
I started working there early, 2003.
By June, I had left the union and took a supervisor position, a night shift supervisor position.
It was nothing changed for me.
I was already on night shift anyway.
I still kept the same two days off.
Railroad days off, weird.
I had Tuesday, Wednesday off.
That was my weekend.
And when this incident happens was October of 2023.
The way the railroad works, you have to have somebody at the tail of the train if you're doing a backwards boat.
boat, you know, backwards movement.
And the crew had wanted to get out a little earlier.
So I was like, okay, I'll go protect it.
That's fine.
So I was sitting out in the yard that we had five miles long.
And you have your main line.
And then they had like a siding line.
And that's where the main railroad company would drop off the train.
We would bring the train into the yard, stack it in five, you know, five car length
rows.
And it was all auto racks that would unload all.
the vehicles off it and we stacked the cars back empty, put them back out on the
siding for the rail company come and pick up. And that would just be a repetitive process
day after day after day. Day shift was in charge of putting them on on the tracks.
We were in charge of taking the empty ones off and putting it back out. So it was the final
movement of the night. It was like the last 15 or 16 cars in the yard we were putting out.
I don't know, you know, a train system works off compressed air. When there's no air in the system,
the brakes are completely applied.
When you add air to the system, it releases the brakes.
That's how it can move.
Each rail car is held together with like an air hose coupling.
But a big air hose too is, it's probably sick as a baseball bat.
It's a big air hose.
So when you hook in with, you know, a little bit of cars into a lot of bit of cars,
it takes a while to air all that up.
So anywhere from, you know, 15 to 20 minutes or whatever,
you'd sit there and wait to air it up,
depending on who was driving and depending on whether they wanted their,
over time that week, it could take longer.
You know what I'm saying.
So I was sitting at the tail.
I had the pickup truck for the yard.
And this pickup truck has every LED light option possible on the outside.
You know, I'm talking like a light bar on the grill,
one on the roof right above the windshield.
It's got the LED bulbs on the side of the bed.
And it lights up.
You can see if you're out in the middle of it on the tracks,
you know, what we call it the siding.
You're out on the siding with all those lights on,
you can see, depending on where you're at,
a good quarter mile.
It's just so bright.
Like, everything is so bright.
So I was sitting there,
and I was waiting for,
waiting for the engineer to give me the signal that everything's aired up
and he's ready to move.
And I can tell him, you know, he's clear for however X amount of cars,
he can keep, you know, start moving.
And it was sitting there,
and my phone had just died.
Like my personal phone had just died.
and so I was bummed out about that.
I'm like, what am I going to do now for 20 minutes?
And anyway, this tree, it's a limb.
I want to say it's definitely a limb because it had no other branches off of it.
Comes flying out of the woods like a spear right into the side of the rail car,
impales it, and it touches the inside of the other side of the rail car.
And it's just sticking out of the rail car.
I think had to weigh, it's probably 30 feet long.
At the fat end, it was roughly about, I don't know, probably two feet around.
At the skinny, pointy end was about a foot.
And something through it with so much force, it impaled the rail car right through it.
Like a spear.
It looked like, and I hunt a lot.
And it looked like, honestly, what it looked like, I don't know if you, you know, ever
hunter to use a compound bow, but like when you launch an arrow down into like a foam block,
if you're looking, you can see the tail end of the arrow shaking where the knock is.
And I'm like, oh, my God.
My heart sank right down to my feet.
I'm like, what is that?
What am I looking at?
So I threw my truck in reverse.
I got on the radio, told the engineer to dump the train.
I didn't know what it was.
Things sticking out 30 feet past if the train came by, it's going to hit it.
So I threw in reverse, got to the turnaround point behind me.
started heading back towards our main yard.
And I called my supervisor at the time.
And I told him what had happened.
And he said, oh, my God.
All right, I'm getting dressed.
I'll be there in like 40 minutes.
He lived like 40 minutes away.
I said, all right, cool.
I got down to the locomotive, told the engineer in person what had happened.
And he's like, what?
I'm like, yeah, yep.
Something launched a tree out of the woods.
And I got to just for some context,
the clearing from like tree line to tree line is roughly about 200 feet.
and with the brightness of the truck with all the LEDs on it,
you can see a good 15, 20 feet into the tree line.
There was nothing there at all.
So something through this thing far and hard enough to impale a rail car.
So I went back to, you know, waiting for the supervisor to get my supervisor to get on site.
And it was gone.
Lim is gone.
Hold out.
Just a big basketball sized hole in the rail car.
Some bark on the ground and some barked on the inside of the rail car.
that's it.
Lim's just missing.
Like somebody reached up, grabbed it, and walked off with it.
No wood, no splinters, just, you know, bark in a giant, perfectly, you know, round hole on the side of the rail car where it got impaled.
Oh, ma'am.
I'm not even sure what to say.
I've heard some strange accounts from guys who work on the railroad, but what was kind of going through your mind, especially going back and it's gone?
That's that creeped me out more than than watching it happen like in real time.
Like I was, it's crazy.
It's one of those things that people would be like, would you sure you didn't catch that out of the corner of the right?
No, I was looking straight ahead.
And it was only about 30 feet away for me.
Probably about, I don't know, maybe 10, 10, 12 feet off the ground.
I mean, a rail car for these specific rail cars just for context, they're about 145 feet long, 20 feet tall.
and I don't know
10 maybe 12 feet wide
big enough for a vehicle
you know
full size truck
you know there's
there's a lot of weird accounts
around the railroad
and around railroad workers
and I've heard some odd ones
and I don't know what your feelings
about Sasquatch were at the time
but I mean
a man's not going to throw that
I can't think of anything
I mean if you don't believe in Sasquatch
then it must have been a giant
that through that.
Beyond, thank God that didn't hit me.
I mean, what did you think actually
through that tree?
Especially like a spear. Jesus.
I've always been a firm believer
of Sasquatch. I mean,
I mean, look at it this, why
aliens exist. Like, we know this because
our own government has released all the files
they had. So, why wouldn't
you think that something like that exists as well?
Like, you know what I mean? Like, I think, I think aliens
is pretty much top of the, top of the line.
You know what I mean? Like, that's, that's,
one of those things that kind of destroys religion a little bit.
And that's the first thing within my head.
I was like it had to have been something like that.
What else could throw a 400 pound, 300 pound branch like a Spartan spear?
Like I was like, as Gerard Butler in the woods.
I didn't know what was going on.
It was it was such a wild sight to see this thing fly perfectly straight.
It wasn't flying like the tail of it dipped down.
It was perfectly straight, like something purposely through this.
and it's funny
I've listened to some of your shows
and you hear all these,
you know,
they see these things
and how they got her people understand
the sheer strength they actually do have.
And I got,
at least for me it was reverse.
I saw the strength.
I never saw what through it.
But if that's the case,
I don't ever want to see what through that.
Yeah,
I don't blame you.
And then to have it not be there
to have something actually pull it out
when you went back to look at it.
That is weird, man.
What happened?
your supervisor got there.
No, it's like, you know, we're just going to pretend this never happened.
Don't ever tell anybody this because you're, you're going to need an evaluation.
It's like, I'm just, I'm like, I look at, we'll call them Bill.
I'm like, Bill, you can see the hole.
You can see the bark.
You know, I'm not crazy.
You can see the evidence.
How'd that happen?
Tell me.
I'd love to hear your explanation of how you think that perfect round basketball
size hole wound up in the side of that rail car.
with all the tree bark all over the place.
I'd love to hear your explanation.
He's like, well, you know, it's windy here.
And I'm like, there's no wind, dude.
Let's not.
Let's not.
It just got dropped and brushed off.
He was even throughout like, well, maybe, you know,
a hot main came by and hit it.
And I'm like, well, if that was the case,
they would have hit it at windshield level of the logo.
And the driver would have dumped the train or put it into suppression.
Something would have happened.
we would have heard them come by.
I mean, even the regulation for the company around here is when they're coming through the signals at each end of our yard, they have to radio ahead to make sure we're not out there.
Or somebody's not, you know, and we have to confirm that there's nobody out there.
So there's like a three point like radio response that actually absolutely has to happen.
If it doesn't, they will sit and wait until you confirm you're not in the way.
They don't just drive through.
Yeah.
And to have him kind of dismiss it is weird.
I know from talking to you last night
there was other things that happened in this general area
but his explanation of like the wind
I mean unless there was like a hurricane
that went through there
no there was definitely no hurricane
I can confirm that it was like I said
it was beginning of October
probably secondly that hunting season had just started here
it usually starts around like the 7th or so in October
depending on where in a state you live
but I mean yeah no it was no wind
and leaves are just starting to fall
I mean, it was, you know, like I said, I could see into the woods.
And that's not even one of the weirdest things.
There's so many weird things that I've had happened on that railroad at night over the almost two years I worked there.
Yeah, tell me about some of the weird things.
So it's very not uncommon at all for deer to get hit by trains.
And I'm sure you can imagine what happens to a deer that gets hit by a, you know, a freight train that's two miles long,
traveling at 40, 50 miles an hour.
I mean, there's pieces and parts go everywhere.
There was one night I was protecting it again.
It was in the summer of this same exact year.
And I was driving down, there's a spot on the siding
where you get onto the siding from the main road,
and just at that point.
And it's at the same exact, almost the same exact point
as the tree branch.
And to come to think of it,
all the weird instances have happened
around that same exact area of the yard.
And it was driving and I look up and I can see a bunch of deer laying on the,
not on the tracks, but on the driving part of the siding.
And as I'm driving, I'm protecting it so I can't stop.
So I drove, you know, did my thing but protected it and, you know,
the crew took over after that, you know, cutting away and all that stuff.
And I drove back and I'm looking at these deer.
They're completely intact, not a drop of blood, not nothing.
No blood, no nothing there.
And their necks are twisted.
it.
So they had somebody snapped, something snapped there next.
There were six of them, six toes.
Just heads completely twisted around.
That was it.
Just left there.
And like in a pile.
Very odd.
It just left it.
Like it didn't even bother.
It just,
it was almost like they were trying to block the road with deer.
You know what I mean?
It's very,
it's very unsettling.
Especially,
and the first thing went through my head as me being a hunter was,
ah, what a waste, you know?
Those are some good,
some good potential,
potential deer when we run out of a buffet.
here. And I don't know if this is anything related, but we just some giant snapping turtles
there around around the pond portion of the yard. And I'm talking like 30, 40 pounds snapping
turtles. Shell is completely hollowed out. It was one time in the winter that year. It was probably
it might have even been January of 2024. I was working a crew because they had a void and the
engineer wanted us out.
So here he is going out and he dumped the train.
Oh, I don't know what just happened.
And regulations on railroad regulations are if that ever happens,
you have to walk the entire length of the train.
One person on each side, walk it.
So you can see if there was a break in the airlines connecting the rail cars.
And as I'm walking, I'm on the, let's see if you're facing,
the train's facing, you know, to the direction of walking.
I'm on the right hand side.
And there was a bare leg.
An entire blood, there's a big population of black bear there too.
It was a whole bear leg just laying there and a blood trail going off into the woods.
That was it.
And here, we don't have, you know, like mountain lions and all that crazy stuff.
I mean, we've got bobcats and such, but nothing that's crazy enough to take down a black bear.
Just a big black bear leg, front leg laying there.
Ripped.
It was ripped.
It was ripped off.
Like you could tell by the way the meat was torn.
it was just ripped off.
And it wasn't there a couple hours before.
And we weren't out there.
And it was on like our yard side of the main line.
So it definitely, there'd have been a splatter.
Unfortunately, it sounds disgusting.
But I've watched, I've watched deer get hit by the train.
And it's kind of like the pink mist is just poof.
You know, it's a freight train has a big snowplow on the front of it.
It's like a big blade.
You hit, you know, you hit a deer.
I'm sorry, it's going to pop.
It is what it is.
All of it's in the same.
area, like a good half mile to a mile stretch of this controlled sighting.
Yeah, it's very interesting that it's all kind of happening in the same area along the tracks.
All the deer being piled up with their necks broke and that barrel leg.
In all your time out there, did you ever see the lights we talk about on the show in this general area?
You know, I did see something with lights.
I don't know if it's the same thing that you have had.
had other people mentioned.
So at the far east end of our yard, there's a turnaround right by the signal.
And there's no, really no access roads.
And I just got done protecting a movement.
And I had to drive down further, probably another, I don't know, half mile, three-quarters
a mile to hit this turnaround spot.
And when I did that, you know, a turnaround and came back.
And I'd seen these two, I thought there were headlights because they were perfectly spaced apart
and just high enough off the ground,
it would, you, anybody would think it's headlights.
It came, and I stopped the truck
because there's only room for one vehicle to go through there.
And the headlights just turned off.
So I was sitting there for a minute,
and I'm like, I don't know what's going on.
So I threw up all the side lights, and nothing was there.
Nothing at all.
Nothing was there.
It was just like a vehicle had just disappeared.
Nothing was there.
I don't know what else to say about it.
It was just gone.
So I don't know if that's what that is.
It looked like. Honestly, it just looked like headlights.
Yeah, that's a very strange account.
I want to go back to the Spear for a moment.
If that was a Sasquatch, which I don't know what else could do that.
What do you make of that behavior?
It's almost like it was angry at the train or something.
Thinking back about it now, it must have been his little area for that time being.
And me sitting there must have given him an uncomfortable.
feeling. I don't think it was an aggregate toes to train. I think it was a message to me.
Like, dude, leave. Like, yet, you need to get out of here. This isn't, this isn't where you want to be.
And he was right. That is definitely not where I wanted to be. It is, I wish that I was allowed to carry my gun with me.
Because after that, even, even that aside, we've had issues with, like, the rail cars that come from Mexico, like the Honda's and stuff.
Where there was another friend of my network there. And he said that he'd come out on the siding one night and seen three land rovers.
fly down. It's a big good cartel issue with them hiding stuff in their cars and then coming back
to pick them up with the train stops. We've opened up rail cars and seen the tires missing,
batteries missing, radio's ripped out of it, all the quarter panels ripped off of it,
but left there, tires with, you know, just gashes at them left there. Crazy stuff. So honestly,
a lot of the stuff that goes through your mind out there is more so like human on human.
And I don't want everyone to be in that situation, you know, seeing something out there like that.
That was in my head long before this tree incident.
So, I mean, that was just one more layer.
And I'm like, great, I got to look out for this now, too.
It's just weird stuff.
Like, weird stuff you can't even explain.
You can try to.
It's just odd, very odd behavior.
There was a weird owl incident.
Oh, I got to know, too.
Driving up down at a siding, I don't think I've ever been in a vehicle that's been hit by so many
birds ever. They just fly out of the woodline, slam into the driver's window, and then fly back off.
An owl, a giant owl did it one time. I mean, I'm not a specialist on owls. I don't know what
kind of was, but I knew it was an owl. I see the space because it waited right in the window,
hit the window of my, the truck I was driving. I was sitting out there one night again,
protecting the shelf, right around the same area. And I heard something, you know, how an owl
sounds like who but it was like a grown man like trying to to mimic an owl it was like who
and i was it kind of made me laugh i was like you and like who that was kids playing around
but it also's one o'clock in the morning i mean in a area where there's really no houses nobody
around it's a you know a quiet little town anyway and then it happened again but louder and i
never got creeped out of it it just it made me laugh it was funny i was like that's the best you got
that was the best you could you could do.
So that was that was one of the other incidents.
And I didn't,
I didn't think about it until all the other,
you know,
started cascading on to each other.
I'm like,
okay,
well,
obviously there's something,
something else there.
It was very strange.
That was,
that was strange,
but it was hilarious.
At the time,
I thought it was just hilarious.
Somebody trying to imitate an owl,
but didn't come anywhere close.
You'll often hear eyewitnesses report the owl sound
or something,
mimicking an owl.
Some people will say it was like an 800-pound owl.
I heard it one time in Texas, and it really sounded like an owl in the beginning.
But as it went on, it started to fall apart.
I mean, it sounded more and more like a man.
And by the end, I mean, I can't do an owl sound.
It sounded like me trying to do an owl sound.
That's exactly what it sounded like.
It sounded like a full-grown man on the other side of the train,
trying to sound like an owl
but like the most low-pitched voice
it was strange it was a very
low-pitched who
and it was clearly who
like it was dead quiet there was nothing going on
the train wasn't moving
nothing was coming it was you know like I said
one o'clock in the morning we were around there
we were all about to get out of just about to get out of work
so I mean it is uh yeah it's
it was notice it was you could you could hear a pin drop
it was pretty quiet
and I'm curious to know what you think
Sasquatch is before I asked
you that though. Did any of your
co-workers ever talk about
these creatures possibly being around?
I mean, there's a lot of weird
stuff going on.
One guy had mentioned it
after the Bear Lake incident because
it was kind of like at the junction of a rail car
of the two rail cars. So as
we were going down, I yelled to her like, hey, come look
at this. And you know, the bear leg
and he's like, well, he's like, dude,
what could do that? I'm like, I don't know. I mean, around
most parts, the bear, Black Bear.
I mean, I know they don't generally
get big. I mean, we're not talking
Cody X size, but I mean, for a black bear,
they get,
they get, you know, a decent size here.
I mean, my buddy and I, we had
one on our, on our kill list and we were hunting
and she was, it was a sow and she was
roughly about, she was tagged
and collared, and they were, you know,
DCR, is the, like the wildlife
division here. They were tracking
her movement through, you know, satellite.
And she was, she was up over
650 as a big black bear.
So, I mean,
But I don't know what could have done that.
And him and he's like, oh, it was a big foot.
I'm like, shut up.
You know what I mean?
Like, shut up, big foot.
But yeah, it's in the back of my head, I'm like, he's probably right.
Because what else could rip a leg off like that?
It wasn't even near the track.
You know what I mean?
I know he didn't get hit because on that side,
the only one that could have hit the bear would have been our own engineer.
And if you knew that kid, he was very skittish.
There was no way, you know, if it rains too hard,
he's making it very, very vocalized that it's raining.
So if he had hit a bear, we would never have heard the end of it.
What do you think Sasquatch is?
I don't know.
I mean, there's so many theories out there.
I think it's real.
I think it's alive.
I don't think it's some mystic creature, whether it's from here or from a different, you know, planet or whatever.
I think it's just, I don't know.
I honestly don't know.
I'd love, to be honest, I'd love to see one.
Just look at it and be like, wow, that's, that's cool.
I'd like to see that.
I don't know what it is.
I know it, you know, I think it's not human, but I think it's, it's definitely flesh and blood.
Yeah, I think that they're very flush and blood too.
I think that's where the fear comes from.
You know, you run into something and you realize this thing could do whatever it wanted and there's nothing I could do to stop it.
but I really appreciate you taking the time to come on.
That first encounter with that weird guy, that'll stay with me.
And there was a lot of weird stuff going on at that railroad.
I really enjoyed chatting with you, Matt.
Thank you again.
Yeah, man, I appreciate being on.
It's been fun.
Next up on the show, I want to welcome.
Jacob, thanks for coming on, ma'am.
Yeah, thank you, Wes.
Appreciate you having me on here.
And you had this strange encounter back in March.
If you would, would you start from the very beginning?
What were you doing and what happened?
Okay.
So I had one of my buddies.
He's an airline pilot.
I'm in the shipping industry.
So we kind of click, you know.
And we're headed back down from,
there's a 12 hours of C-Bring,
which is a 12-hour car race in C-Bring, Florida.
And if you don't know anything about C-Bring, Florida,
there's nothing out there.
It's basically a racetrack.
So we're headed back down, Highway 27.
and there's not a whole lot.
There's not a lot of traffic on the road.
It's a pretty barren area.
A lot of just grass, farmland,
and it's very dark.
And we're going along,
and my buddy's driving,
it's his truck.
He has a Ford Raptor,
so it's a full-sized truck,
which will come into play here in a little bit.
He says,
hey, man, what is that light behind us?
And, you know, I'm not really thinking too much of it.
I look in the side view mirror,
And I'm like, it was a very dull, it was white.
It was very circular.
It was a very dull glow.
This wasn't some big, bright, shiny light.
I mean, I want to emphasize that.
It wasn't huge.
It's between a baseball and a bowling ball.
I would say probably closer to the baseball size, maybe a little bit bigger.
This was, it was right off the bed of the truck.
And when I say he's got a Ford Raptor, I mean,
that truck is a pretty big truck, you know, for what it is.
So the distance wise, that's where I'm trying to use my best depth perception on the size of this thing.
It was almost when I was looking at the side view mirror, I mean, it was clearly falling us.
I mean, there's no doubt about that.
And I'm telling my buddy that I know what, like, we're looking at an orb, you know, what that is.
I don't know.
But I know it wasn't headlights.
I mean, like I said, I'm very well versed in navigational lights, beacons,
satellites, stars.
Of course he is.
He's an airline pilot.
This wasn't anything like something I've ever seen personally.
And I look in the rearview mirror and still clear as day there.
To me, where it got weird was I undid my seatbelt.
I turned around and looked at it.
And I would say less than three seconds that they disappeared.
And it just disappeared.
And I'm not saying it shot off or anything.
It's almost like it just disappeared, you know.
And it's just, I don't know.
I've been thinking about it every night and it's just, it's strange, I guess to say the least, you know.
And that image is so perfect in my head, you know, what I saw.
And there's no doubt about what I saw.
It's just I really don't know what it was.
That is weird how it kind of just vanished on you.
And you said it was about the size of a bowling ball or softball.
Well, I would say, like I said, I was trying to use my best debt perception because I want to be as accurate as possible.
From that distance, you know, if I were to say the bowling ball and ball hat was able to light up, you know, it was somewhere between the bowl and ball and the baseball.
I mean, it wasn't, it wasn't overly huge, to say the least.
You know, this was not a huge object.
I would say definitely between the baseball and the bowling ball and ball exactly how big.
I have a hard time putting, you know, my finger on it, but it was in that 100% in that size
wrench.
How close was it to the truck?
As creepy it was following you.
Well, see, this is where we had the talk is where it got really out weird for me.
When I first looked at it out of the side view mirror, I was thinking, I don't know.
I guess it didn't click to me how close this thing really was.
And after I turned around, I clearly saw how close it was then.
But my buddy that was driving, he said, hey, that thing was literally like almost over the bed of the truck.
And I was thinking I was like, it was.
I mean, that's where it was.
And when you say he wasn't falling the truck, 100%.
And the thing that gets me, the more I think about this whole encounter was, how long was it following the truck, you know, if that makes.
Because he just happened to look up at that time.
I don't know how often he was looking up.
he just happened to look in his rearview mirror and see that.
Whatever it is, why was it following us, you know?
If it wasn't right over the back of the bed of the truck, it was right on the tailgate.
I mean, it was there.
Like, that's why I mentioned the whole, you know, we're in a Ford Raptor, not a huge truck, but a full-sized truck.
I don't really know the exact dimensions, but, you know, I mean, that's, so from us being in the front seat,
I mean, you're talking probably less than 15 feet from us.
I mean, that's how close this thing was.
It didn't shoot up.
You know, I would have definitely like, I have an eye.
You know, I can see.
You know, it's like I would have definitely saw like, you know,
shooting storm and you're going to see a thing shoot across the sky.
This thing didn't shoot up, move.
Like, it's like wherever it was, it disappeared from that spot.
You know, that's the part that the whole thing's creepy, you know,
kind of, I have a lot of questions about it.
But that part right there was like, all right, that really.
just happened, you know? And nobody, and that's another issue. I'm glad I had a witness,
you know, I had, there was two of us there to say that I'm not crazy, you know?
That is weird how it just kind of vanished. I know that you're a merchant marine. I mean,
you're used to seeing signals and lights and, you know, this is a light you've never seen
before. And your buddy's a pilot. What did your buddy say about the whole thing afterwards?
You know, we talked about it.
And, I mean, he said, like, we were both, I mean, were we tired?
Yes, but we weren't, like, hallucinating tired.
Like, we were just a long day, you know, and when this happened, we were both, like, I mean, ultra alert after that.
You know, we were looking, the whole time back home, we both did this.
We were hoping that it was a headlight.
Like, we, I mean, I can vividly remember just looking back at the course and thinking,
I wish one of those headlights would look like what we just saw.
And it wasn't.
It just wasn't.
So he wasn't as, I say shock.
I think the adrenaline at the moment, you know, like the surprise of it all.
You know, I don't think either one of us were just overly shaken up right then.
But when we got back, we both agreed.
We talked about it.
I said, for one, nobody's ever going to believe us about this.
I mean, it's like, I mean, I personally don't know a whole lot of people that I can just
say, oh, this is what we saw, and they're going to be like, oh, yeah, totally agree.
You know, that's what you saw.
We just said, we know what we saw, and we didn't know what we saw.
So that's kind of, that's kind of what's his take on.
It was, we know what we saw, but can't put a finger on it.
And I've talked about on the show about me and my brother seeing the light and how it actually
followed us, but it wasn't, it wasn't that close to our car.
was more or less kind of up in the tree line following us.
But I'm telling you, if it would have been right on the bumper,
I probably would have freaked out a lot more.
In your gut, what do you think that light was?
I mean, I'd say it's something,
it's got to be tied to UFOs some way.
I mean, that's just my personal take on this.
I think, I don't know what if this is like there,
you know, we have security cameras.
You know, we have all these drones and all this
that do surveillance on our enemies and all that,
what's to say that's not their version of surveillance.
You know, like maybe that's some way that they,
hey, we're going to send these little whatever it is down.
Let's do some research on these guys, you know?
I mean, I don't know.
I really don't know.
But that's the only thing I can think of in my head that these could.
And I don't want to think that because that terrifies me.
But, I mean, what else could they be, you know?
Yeah, I used to think that too.
I used to think, God, you know, some sort of drone makes the most sense.
But it's just a weird light.
I mean, it's not really like a structure or like a craft.
I think I lean more towards spirits, but I can't really prove that.
That's just my opinion, of course.
No, I know.
And I actually, I'm not sure what your take is on this, but a few weeks ago,
I actually watched David Pilates, the American Sasquatch.
he goes you know it touches on the orb thing you know the lights in the woods uh you know in those
same areas saskwashes and all that you know it's like is there a correlation you know i mean
it kind of makes you wonder like is there some kind of because you're talking about the spiritual
part of it you know for what what we think saskatch could be you know if it's like the native
of Americans talk about it being a spiritual being, you know? I mean, I'm really not sure. It's kind of,
it's a very hard, very hard question to wrap your head around, you know, of what it really is.
What's kind of your interest with Sasquatch? And what do you think that they are?
So my interest with them is actually started as one of my first jobs right out of college.
We were working on ships, you know, you're going for a long time. So you get to know everybody you're working with.
And I had a guy that had a very credible encounter in North Carolina,
just outside of Beaufort, North Carolina.
And they just all, I mean, the backstory, everything kind of lined up with it.
And then he recommended me to start listening to this podcast.
So I was like, you know, I've always, like, I've never not, not Bigfoot Sasquatch.
Like, I grew up hunting, fishing.
Like, there's, there's woods.
I can take you 20 minutes up the road where I am right now that, me and you can't walk there,
you know, physically.
Like, we would struggle to walk through and to say that there's not.
something out there that we haven't found yet, I think, is a little ignorant, in my opinion.
So I've always kind of been around it.
And then I've heard, like I said, I've talked to him.
And then another guy had a credible story in Louisiana that I worked with.
And then the last one that really got me into it was a guy that lived just outside of Jacksonville that I was working with back in the, it was June of 25, 2025.
and he actually was seeing the lights on the property also.
That's kind of what got me into it.
And then when I first got into this,
just like I think everybody else,
I always thought Sasquatch was,
this is an undiscovered, very intelligent primate
that we just haven't caught up to.
And I think a lot of people think that.
And the more I dig into this,
I don't think that's,
I think there's more to it.
You know,
I think I've heard the stories of the whistleblower that says they're aliens.
I've heard some of those stories.
I personally think that after watching some of the documentaries,
that it's almost like these things are interdimensional.
You know, the unexplained where people find footprints,
and all of a sudden they disappear in snow where there's plenty of more snow
that those footprints would have stuck in.
So my take on Sasquatches is it's living,
breathing when we see it.
And I think there's, it's got
some kind of ability that
we just, as humans,
either we cannot see, we don't
understand, or both.
Yeah, so that's, uh, that's kind of my viewpoint
on this, on what a Sasquatch
is. Yeah,
there is a lot of weird things that
happen when these creatures are
around, that don't happen
when normal animals are around.
And then what's to deal with these
weird lights showing up?
the whole thing is a weird mystery.
And I know it was kind of a brief encounter with the light,
but I really appreciate you sharing it.
I'd never heard of a light encounter like that before.
And I can't thank you enough for taking the time to come on.
I really enjoyed chatting with you.
Yes, sir.
And I appreciate you having, Wes.
And like I said,
I really do appreciate everything you do for the people like me, you know,
who just really just need somebody that will actually listen
and take it for what it is.
So I really do appreciate it.
Thanks again, Jacob.
And that's it for tonight, everyone.
Remember, if you've had an encounter, shoot me an email.
My email address is Wes at Sasquatch Chronicles.com.
And if you get a chance to check out Sasquatch Chronicles.com,
you can become a member and get additional shows.
Until next time, everyone.
