Sasquatch Chronicles - SC EP:1276 The Man At The Window

Cheryl writes "Hi Wes, My husband is a fan and came to me one day saying "Babe, listen to this. It sounds just like what you saw." I've found myself telling this story more often in recent years. Our anniversary is coming up so I figured why not share the story with you as a gift to him. Around 2004-2005 I went to visit my mom. She lives in a village surrounded by bayou and farmland. Though its not far from I-10 its the kind of place you only know about because of a detour from the interstate, fishing, or family is there. I was with my college roommate and we were going back to campus before it got too late but it was already dark. I took the side of the bayou I never take. Its too curvy and there have been a lot of deaths from people running into live oaks. I looked to the side and noticed what looked like someone peeping through the window of one of the houses. Small town nosiness kicks in so I slow down to a crawl. I ask my roommate to take a look. We quickly realize this was no man. It was tall, almost as tall as the window. The build was lean but by no means skinny. More like Lebron type body with broad shoulders, muscular, long arms. It had fur and ears atop its head. It turned to look at us and I hit the gas. I was driving a 1996 Ford Contour so I got nowhere fast. I could see large eyes and a snout protruding. Not flat like a cat's face. Definitely K-9. It started running toward us, at first on two legs, then down to 4. We're in the car screaming as you might picture two college girls doing and my roommate yells, "what the hell is that"? We got to I-10 and never looked back. I'm happy to share a few details about myself and something you might find interesting about the environment if you'd like to talk more or choose to have me on the show." Tanner writes "I've had several unusual experiences along the same stretch of road in southern Wisconsin, including encounters with what I believe were Bigfoot-type creatures and a strange white orb. I'm from the Beloit/Janesville area in south-central Wisconsin, along the Rock River. The first experience happened on my very first night driving by myself. I was heading home from Janesville on Afton Road, just before entering the small town before the final 55 mph stretch into Beloit. It was nighttime, and I noticed what looked like a motorcycle headlight in the distance. I didn't think much of it. As I entered the town, I saw a sheriff's deputy parked near the bar at the bottom of the hill. I had been speeding, so I hit the brakes hard and managed to slow down in time. As I continued driving, the light I'd noticed earlier came flying up behind me. At first, I thought it was the deputy pulling me over. I went over the hill where the road opens into farmland and returns to 55 mph. After driving a short distance, the light appeared behind me again, closing the gap incredibly fast until it was right on my bumper. Then, without warning, it shot into my TrailBlazer. The inside of the vehicle filled with an intense white light that completely blinded me for a moment. Then, just as suddenly as it appeared, it vanished. The second experience happened farther north on Afton Road along the Rock River. I was fishing when I heard a series of tree knocks coming from across the river. I heard the pattern multiple times about five or six separate occasions with each sequence consisting of three distinct knocks on a tree. It immediately caught my attention because of how deliberate and consistent it sounded. The final experience was what I consider my Bigfoot sighting. I was near a section of the Ice Age Trail where three paths meet. The left path leads to a bridge that was destroyed by a tornado, the middle path continues along the trail, and the right path is a concrete walkway leading toward a park. I had been fishing from the old bridge when I noticed what looked like a good fishing hole upstream. I walked about 30 to 40 feet down the middle trail, then stepped left onto a small riverbank and fished there for three or four minutes. Suddenly, I heard a noise. I looked back toward the opening where the three paths meet and saw a large, black figure in a crouched position. In one incredibly fluid motion, it stood up and immediately launched into the woods between my position and the concrete path. I then heard it crashing through the forest for what felt like hundreds of yards. The sighting lasted only a split second, so I couldn't make out facial features or much detail. What stood out most was its size. From my perspective, it appeared to be somewhere between 6 and 7½ feet tall. I was standing lower on the riverbank while it was on higher ground. It was extremely dark almost jet black and its head didn't appear pointed from the angle I saw it. The thing I remember most was how incredibly broad it was. For the instant it stood upright before turning and running, it looked close to four feet wide across the shoulders. People have suggested it could have been a black bear, but while we've had one or two black bears in the area over the years, they hadn't been seen for quite some time, and those sightings were south of Janesville. What I saw did not resemble my expectations of a bear from the angle and movement I witnessed. I've believed in the possibility of Bigfoot for years, based on experiences where I thought I heard unusual calls, found what I believed were footprints, and came across strange structures in the woods. I've also been interested in the many stories shared by Native American communities. One thing I've always found compelling is that many tribes despite having different cultures and histories, and sometimes being in conflict with one another have remarkably similar stories describing the same type of being. It looked like somebody was bent over and had their head in the window of the deer blind and it either heard me or smelt me and he pulled his head out of the tent and stood straight up and that shocked me. They don't make people that big. The way it moved, almost as if it was gliding across the bed. I've never seen anything moves like that in my life. They were screaming at each other in gibberish. It sounded like a language and they were chuntering away back and forwards, back and forwards, back and forwards.

I know what a bear looks like and there is no way on this planet that what I saw were bears. Back in one, what are you reporting? Jesus got here. What's going on now, sir? now, sir. That son of a bitch is about six foot nine, I don't know. Do you see a mouth, sir? Yes, I'm looking right at him.

And back around 2004, she was visiting her mom. and her mom kind of lives in this village out in the bayou. And as they were leaving, she thought she saw what appeared to be a man looking in a window. When this quote-unquote man turned and looked at Cheryl and her friends, they realized it wasn't a man. And then we'll wrap up with Tanner from Wisconsin. And a couple of years ago, he was heading home and he had probably one of the more fascinating encounters I've heard with the balls of light. Fast forward after this encounter with the light, Tanner saw the creature in the same area and I'll let him go into it.

Cheryl, thanks for coming on. Thanks so much for having me. Yeah, I appreciate you being here.

And you had this encounter around 2004 in Louisiana. If you would, would you start from the very beginning. What were you doing and what happened? Yeah, so at the time I was in college here in Louisiana. and was going to visit my mom. My roommate came with me just to go, you know, pick up some stuff, get some food. And we were about to leave and go back to campus. This is about, I mean, 10 o'clock at night, I would say,

and we just wanted to make sure we got back before it was too late. My mom lives in a village and always, you know, correct. It was not a town. It's not like a little small city. It's a village. that's got, you know, Bayou roads running through it and behind it, farmland,

you know, spots of, you know, woods and trees. So we're heading back. And the bayou has like two sides. One side, which I normally take, is more open on one side. The bayou's right there on one side. There's no shoulder, but it's more open.

No houses, just kind of land and stuff like that. But the other side has a lot of like live. oaks on both sides of the road is very, very windy. And then there are like a few houses on like a little auto shop and stuff like that. So I took that side. I do not know why. Because there's a lot of deaths from car accidents. People running into the trees and stuff like that. So I just, I don't like that path. But anyway, I took it. So we're creeping. The speed limit's like 25 and that's probably what I was going. And I looked over and I noticed like a creep looking in one of the windows at one of the houses.

And it's only, I think really a trailer and there maybe two houses right there. So it's not, you know, not a lot going on. And these are like ranch style houses. So kind of wide and low. And I'm like, oh, you know, it's country, right? So you're like nosy and I'm looking to see what's going on. Like, why is this person, you know, looking in this window? and so I slowed down to a crawl

and we very quickly realized that this was not a person so I asked my room like do you see this and you know it turns around and looks at us and actually I'm gonna go back because like for a perspective you know windows

even a house with like low ceilings has like probably like eight it's eight feet up or so so this thing was about its top, like right at the top of the window, right? Just kind of looking in his hands were up like on the window, but not like it was trying to see better. It was just, they were just on the window, on the sides of it, I guess. So it turns and looks at us. And that's when, you know, I can really tell, like this was no person.

Not just because of the size, but you could tell that there was like fur. not like super thick but obviously like for I couldn't see any skin there was a snout protruding there were ears on top of the head this was definitely more canine because of

like how the nose like protruded out you can tell like larger eyes longer arms like not knuckle dragon to the ground but like longer arms and like not standing like straight up. It was like slightly hunched. And either way, you know, I looked at it. We started screaming,

right? Like you can imagine that college girls would do, right? Like we're just screaming our heads off. I try to hit the gas, but I'm in like an old four contour. So I didn't go anywhere fast. And it started running like on two legs toward us. And then it drops down to four, like hands and feet are I guess just four legs. And still screaming. you know, I accelerate. We, you know, go down the winding road and never look back. We're, the town is really, or the village is like, I mean, five minutes from interstate 10. So it's nothing to get, you know, get away and get out of the area.

You hit the interstate, you go, you know, toward Baton Rouge, toward Lafayette, like, whatever. But that was it. Like, we literally never talked about it again. we never, you know, we just went back to campus and like kept living life. And my husband, you know, he's a hunter and fishes and is always kind of out in the wilderness and whatnot. And he watches the show and he, you know, was like, hey, babe, this, this story sounds like exactly what she sounds like, oh, yeah.

And he said it around like another family member. So then I tell them the story. And apparently he talked to one of my cousins. who said that he's seeing all kinds of strange things out there over the years. And he's a good bit older than me. But I just, it definitely freaked me out. But that was just kind of the end of it. And I moved on and I've, you know, I've never seen anything like that again.

You know, I've never had a dog man encounter, but I've heard enough of them now to where I believe that it's out there. And, you know, I try and put myself in eyewitnesses positions. You know, if I was driving that car, I probably would have thought it was a man too. And knowing my idiot brain, I probably would have stopped and asked him what he was doing. Thank God he didn't do that. But I could kind of see how you would think it was a man at first. At first, I did because what else would it be, right?

You know, people are creeps. So I'm like, well, somebody's looking in this window. But, you know, you give yourself a few more seconds to process. information. And before it turned around, you can tell, like, what's going on, like, what's on, what's on this person? Because I don't remember seeing, like, pants. Definitely, like, no shirt, right? So you're just kind of looking, trying to figure out what's going on. When you look back at this moment, what are some details that still kind of stay with you? I would say the build and the height. And I've seen very tall people, like, you know, people who played basketball and stuff

like that profession. And I'm a pretty short person. So to me, for someone to be of significant height sticks out to me because everybody's already kind of tall to me, right? So the height definitely and then like the build I would say, it was like, you know, broad shoulders, but not like some fantasy book, werewolf is like super muscles. It's not like that. It was. definitely more of a slim build but not skinny. So if you think of like a more

robust kind of like thicker like basketball player more like a LeBron not like a shack, right? It's muscular, it's clearly strong but again like not skinny by any means like

you know something that you recognize as like something formidable that you don't want to you know, tussle with. The ears were more on top of the head, right? Like big, poignant, like if you think of what a wolf would look like or more like a German shepherd or something like that,

like ears more like that. And like said, the snout was, it was not like flattened out. It was, like it protruded like a pretty good way. Again, more like what you might expect, like a coyote or a wolf or a German shepherd, like the, you know, how it comes out. and it's more like narrow. When it started running,

it clearly was not flat-footed. I can say that, because you just kind of know how people went and how it looks. It wasn't like that. But I guess to me, like when I think about, because I don't have a lot of detail

about the legs, but when I think about the movement, I would say it was, you know, like a person runs and we kind of swing our arm like back and forth. Like, you know, I guess, use a momentum kind of move us forward.

It wasn't like that. It was, they weren't just hanging, but they, they, you know, they had kind of like a sway to them. And when it dropped down, I think is what, you know, like really shook me. It dropped down to, you know, like I said, run on all fours. And the legs, like if a human tried to, like, oh, I'm just going to be on off.

Like, it was not like that. Like the body kind of, the back kind of flattened out as you would expect, again, like more of a canine. And it wasn't like a, I wouldn't say it's like a transformation type of thing. It just, it just went that way. Like fluidly moved from one stance in position to like another. And, you know, no person can do that. Like I've seen a document, a document.

commenting about this family and they all started like walking on all fours or they've been walking on all fours for so many so many years nothing like that it was it was just different so I guess there had to be some type of bend in the legs for that to even be possible but um or maybe in the hip I guess I could say but I don't really remember a lot about that yeah it's amazing when people talk about dogman and Sasquatch that the movement always comes back you know how how fluid they move. And I can't imagine a worst encounter than a dog man and then have it turn and start coming my way.

Did you get the feeling it was, I mean, kind of a dumb question. Did you get the feeling that it was more than a warning like it was coming for you? Oh, 100%. Like 100%. Because when it turned, it didn't just look around. It looked at us. And I guess that would draw a good bit of attention because there's not really much else around, the lights on the car on, and then of course, I hit the gas. So we started moving.

And when it ran, it didn't run straight. It didn't run away. It came toward us. And because I'm going forward, it's running like diagonal across the yard toward the road, which is where we were, right? And yeah, I know with certainty that it was like, I don't know what you're looking at, but you need to get out of here. And I realized at the time, you know, it's probably just shock seeing this thing. But kind of now looking back, did you have any idea of what you were looking at?

I said immediately. I was like, that was like a dog person, right? And I think what always kind of comes back to my mind when I say this story, when I tell this story, because I've, over the last couple years,

I found myself actually sharing it a bit more. or at all because I never really shared it before besides my husband. And I immediately said dog man. I did not say werewolf. And I don't know why that is. I think to me that's just what it looked like. Just because of how it was kind of put together more, like I say, in the face. And, you know, I don't know, I guess maybe my mind already had a vision of what a

werewolf looks like because to me a werewolf, a person transformed, right? And it's kind of, you know, I don't know. But I always said dogman. I did not say Sasquatch. I did not say anything else. It's always looked to me like a dog man. You know, Louisiana has a long history of the dog man. Way more than Michigan.

I know Michigan gets brought up all the time. But Louisiana has a long history dating back to when the settlers were there and running into this thing. Did you feel like you were looking at like a natural animal? I think so. I am a person who I feel like it's not easy to convince me of things, but I also believe that we just don't know very much about anything. I think humans have the very bad habit of assuming that we know, we understand. we foresee what's possible.

We've explored. We've researched. We do not know. We do not know. We have not seen their cavers going in the caves and saying they see like remnants of fire and food and people living and they can barely get in or some of them don't get in or don't get out. Right. There are people who have like, oh, my family has had this land and this home for 100 years. but all of a sudden I found a cave or something that we never knew what was there.

I remember a conversation about random conspiracies I had with some colleagues about, you know, maybe three years back. And I said some of these like, oh, you know, like people don't know. We can't even get to the bottom of the ocean. We don't know about ourselves as far as illness and healing and whatnot. Why couldn't these things be true? And I mentioned like a water bear, you know, microscopic animal lives in the ocean and like lava beds and stuff like that. And they were like, did you mean a polar bear?

No, I didn't mean a polar bear. I meant a water bear. But I think the point was that if you don't even know about this little animal that other people know about, it's documented, proven, there's even like children's cartoons that talk about it, then why do you think you know so much about everything? else that can exist. We discover new species of insect and animal every day. And I don't think a lot of people realize it's literally every day. Why can't people believe that these things exist? And, you know, it just is what it is just because you don't see something often or ever, right? Doesn't mean it doesn't exist. And so that's my view. on the dogman and, you know, pretty much anything else you can think of. Like, I'm fine. Yeah.

It's probably there. Why not? Right. I haven't seen many things. And I don't doubt that they exist. And so I'm definitely going to go with something I have seen. Yeah, you bring up a good argument. I know a lot of people struggle with the dog man because a canine, the way they're built, they're not meant to get up on two legs and run around, but it gets reported. I wanted to ask you, did you ever talk to your mom about what you had seen that night? I did not talk to my mom or really any other family. Like I said, at the time, I just, you know, dotted on back to campus and, you know, didn't really think about it anymore. more.

And my family's full of like very girly girls. So I feel like if they even thought for a second that something was out there to be, you know, concerned with that they would have said something. But what my husband recalls from the conversation with my cousin is like, you know, he's like, oh, yeah, you know, I've seen a spaceship. And, you know, I've seen something like that. So, I mean, he says he's seen many things. but I never talked to him directly about it or anything like that.

And you know what? I will say this, which I've, when I would listen to your show, because my husband will be listened and I, I would say, well, why is, why do they, you know, when you ask like, oh, what did the other person say that was there or that saw it? And then, you know, oh, we never talked about it or, you know, their past, where, oh, we're not friends. There's always a reason, right? And but for my own situation, that's exactly how it is.

Not long after that, my roommate and I, you know, had an argument. We were no longer friends. So revisiting the situation and what happened was just not on, you know, not in the car. It's not on the table or anything because we don't talk. And I just find that so interesting because I'm like, I wonder why that is. is, right? And, you know, maybe there is some kind of like supernatural element to it or something like that. That wouldn't surprise me either, but I always found that interesting, but really is the same thing that I, you know, have experience in what my situation is. She's kind of

something I saw and, you know, somebody else is there, but I have no idea what she, you know, had thought about it after or no opportunity to like revisit it. It just point in history. Yeah, you bring up a good point I rarely ever talk about on the show. You'll often find in Dog Man Encounters or Sasquatch Encounters. If it's two people and they're married, they're probably going to get divorced in the near future. Or if your best friend was there with you, you're probably going to get to a point where you never talked to him again.

It's very common. It's almost like there's a curse seeing one of these things. Eno earlier asked you if you thought the dogman was natural. I got to find a better way to ask that question. Because when I say, do you think dog man is natural or do you think it was like a natural animal? I think people think I'm asking, was it physical? And they're always physical. When people recount these encounters, they're terrified.

It's not a ghost they're running from. But again, you know, if you go back to a dog up on two legs or any canine for that matter, their bodies aren't built that way. Your dog might be able to get up and dance around for a tree, but he's not going to like go jogging with you. But again, going back to this dog man creature, it gets reported all the time. They'll be running on two legs and then if you blink, you'll miss it. They're on four legs running.

Do you have any idea how long this creature or how far this creature actually chased you? I have no idea. I, like I said, the road itself is very windy. And it's dark. It was dark. So there was not like a lot of light other than my headlights. So I was definitely looking forward. But, yeah, no, I have no idea.

And I would, I would guess that it probably would have stopped not, not far. at all from where it started just because I mentioned that there's just a handful of houses but past those couple of houses it's farmland right

and usually a sugar cane so not stuff that you can easily get through so it's one or two situations it's either a bunch of sugar cane right that it would have to run into or I mean it could have been on the road or it's just wide open but then you get to

one like an auto shop actually I think it's an auto shop on both sides like little small businesses one of them has like a lot of big metal like I don't know junk I guess I'll say

no offense but like a lot of big metal things in the way so unless it was in the road running like on the sides there would have been a lot of obstacles

and that's when we actually break into like another town and there's like a bank and like little stuff so it's it would have been more exposed had it followed even for a minute but too so

I have no idea but those are kind of my thoughts and you know what too I will I want to add two things because I think that they're interested thing in having listened to you know just other

encounters and whatnot so the first thing is I mentioned to you before that I was an RA like a resident assistant and like the dorms on campus at one point and that I'm pretty sure it could have been

the one next door but I'm pretty sure it's this one this house that the thing was looking in the window at I'm pretty certain was the house of one of my residents that passed away. Not long before that. She had like, her and her friends had gone on the interstate the wrong way and got into an accident and she did not make it. And I have heard different things where like dogmen were associated with, you know, death or someone having passed. And that stuck out to me, you know,

more recent times. And the other thing, my husband is very social. People tend to like him and talk to him. And I grew up in this town. Like I didn't live there, but my family's from now. I was there multiple times a week. Like, I was always there. And he still managed to know people that I do not know. And when I was telling him this story, he said, oh, the house across from, you know, know, like Mr. Ed with the with the saskatch statues. And I was like, what? And he was like, yeah, like right across the street. And I never paid attention to the fact that literally across the street, this man has multiple saskatch statues in his front yard of various sizes. And I was like, oh, somebody should probably ask him, what do you see? But either way,

I thought that was just kind of interesting about the area and like the little village and just kind of not even noticing or, you know, not realizing some of these details until later. Yeah, that is interesting. I don't know if the death had anything to do with you seeing this creature or not. You know, we were talking about this on last night show when I was interviewing Becca. and it wasn't a dog man, it was a Sasquatch coming up to her window when she was young. And you hear this behavior with Sasquatch and you hear it with Dogman. And I often wonder sometimes if, like in Becca's case in last night's show, they had just moved into this home.

So it makes me wonder if the person before was feeding this thing to be so familiar to walk right up to the window and look right in. it's really hard to say the whole death thing and dogman comes from Anubis in the Egyptian Anubis lore Anubis which looks like a dogman by the way

is in charge of the underworld in charge of death and I kind of think that's where it might come from you know these creatures I've had so many weird reports of these dogman and one thing that I picked up on pretty quick. I've had dozens of people shoot this thing. And it's almost like it's bulletproof.

People are hitting them with hunting rifles, handguns. And in those accounts, what you'll find is it never really seems to bother the dogman and they never really get injured. And so for me, in my mind, I just have a hard time believing it's some natural animal. It's almost like it was created or it shouldn't be here. But to your credit, I mean, we do discover new things all the time. And so when it comes to Dogman, are you thinking it's some sort of weird canine we just haven't caught up with?

That's completely natural. And it's okay if you do. I mean, you don't have to agree with me by any means. I'm wrong all the time. I can't say that. Just think it's a kind of canine. It looks like one. But I do think it's something different.

I guess you know the way I think about it is this right like why not like why I saw it it's there I have no idea what is trying to do or accomplish I have no idea why I chased us right but it's there I would not I just feel like it could be I really do and you know if it's not if it's some supernatural thing or if it's some experiment or whatever, I have no idea. I think it's probably been there a long time. I think that when things don't want to be seen, they won't be. I just, you know, my interaction was one from a distance and then from in a car. So, you know, to its durability and abilities and stuff like that, I, you know, I can't speak to it at all.

I just, I just think it kind of is what it is. I wouldn't, I wouldn't be surprised if eventually some of these things that people have seen and what I saw eventually are shown to be like, oh yeah, that just exists. I would not be surprised at all. Yeah, I think that's a fair answer, Cheryl. What about Sasquatch? What do you think that is? I know you haven't seen one and your husband, Brian, has you. listen to the show. Shout out to Brian, by the way. What do you think Sasquatch is?

I think along the same lines, I think Sasquatch just is what it is. I don't think it's a person. I don't think it's like, you know, well, you know what? I'm a backup. I'm not going to say it couldn't possibly be like a person because if you believe in the Bible at all, right? because a lot of things like come from religion, if you believe in the Bible at all, there are lots of weird descriptions of creatures in there. Not at all what we're used to seeing as far as like the typical animals that were used to as far as a bear or wolf or like, you know, different parts and configurations and it doesn't sound like anything you want to run into, right? if you think that that's true there's the possibility right that saskwash could be related to something in there you know you're out in the woods you turn uh furry you know evolution or whatever right you grow more hair to accommodate your environment or whatever i don't know like but i

it's hard for me to doubt what anything could be because one thing about it is that i know i don't know. And I know no one around me really knows. I think somebody knows a little something. I don't think they know the whole of it. But I think somebody somewhere knows. And I think one day we'll all just kind of find out. Or, you know, if we don't, you pick a path of what you believe and what you're willing to accept and what you want. Yeah, somebody out there knows everything for sure. And hopefully one day it'll come out. I think I agree with you. I think it will come out. It's like I was telling you before he started recording. I can't imagine a worst encounter. It's like, oh, I see a dog man. Oh, it sees me. And now it's coming for me, which is part for the

Next up on the show, I want to welcome Tanner. Tanner, thanks for coming on. Hi, thanks for having here. Yeah, and I know that there's three things we're going to chat about tonight. The very first one, all this took place in Wisconsin.

And the first one is this encounter with the lights. I know we're going back about three or four years. If you would, tell me what you were doing and what happened. So up in Janesville, it's, we call it. we call it, or around here we call it the strip. It's just a part of downtown people drive up and down. It was actually, I had just gotten my license, went out with my buddy, the first night driving out there and I was coming home and I had taken, went to take Afton home because it's a

pretty straight shot from where I live in Beloit. And I went down so far and after a while I noticed this light behind me. It was just a single light. It looked like a yellow headlight. I thought it was a motorcycle. as you go down speed kind of changes but it goes from 55

and there's a little section where it slows down in like a suburb type deal then it goes for a while and then into a small town called Afton I was in between the suburb and the town of Afton and coming up to it

slows down from 55 to 35 and I noticed this light just didn't slow down if anything it got faster and it was weird because normally with, I don't know if it was just the model, but normally with a motorcycle, there's another light next to it or something.

Like there's another lighter. It's a different, you'll see it kind of get dimmer or lighter if it changes the angle. It just stayed as a solid, like a solid shade of yellow the whole time. And as you get into Afton, it comes around a right turn,

and then it kind of goes down a little hill, and then up on a bigger hill and you leave it. Well, when you come, I came down that little hill and there was a sheriff sitting there actually. So I kind of, I break pretty hard because it's 35 and I wasn't really paying attention. And Afton is notoriously known for getting you really bad. So I kind of slowed down, got past the cop and he didn't pull me over. I figured, all right, I'm okay.

Was going to go up the hill. And this light just, it kept coming. And the way I seen it, you don't see the cop until you're at the top of the hill. and so if that guy's going anything over 45, there's no way he's slowing down in time. So I figured he'd gotten caught because I didn't see it for a little while after I came over at the big hill and left the town. Well, we're where I'm going down a little further and didn't really notice nothing. After a while, there's a little curve and I came around the curve. It's almost like an S shape, but a real stretched out S.

And as I came around that, then I noticed the light behind me as I stretched or straightened out. I was like, well, that's a little weird. He must have, must have slowed down in time and then, you know, caught back up. I didn't realize I'd get, I'm getting a little shaky talking about this now. But it was still coming up really, really fast. I mean, if I'm going, I knew that there was a sheriff there, and there's only normally one sheriff on aft end at a time. So I actually sped up probably going 70.

And it was gaining on me quick. Like it seemed like I was maybe going. and 40 compared to 70. And it just keeps getting closer and closer and closer. And eventually it's so bright. I look up in my rear view and it's like, it's taken up my whole back window. And next thing I know,

it literally, the best way I could describe it is it jumped into the car or like phased into it. Because the whole inside of my trailblazer like completely whited out and light, blinded me, couldn't see. and this lasted for a split, like a split second. I looked up, I seen it, everything whited out, and then it just disappeared. And that, that was completely it. Everything was over.

There was no light. There was no, like, there was nothing, completely normal drive all the way back home. Yeah, you know, I've heard a few accounts like this. They're rare when they enter the vehicle, but I have heard it before. and people describe it exactly how you described it. Like it jumped in the truck and then it like blinks out and it's gone. And some people say, well, you know, that is a ball of lightning. If it was a ball of lightning, you'd be dead.

Even last night when I was talking to Becca, we were talking about the Joplin lights. And she described one of her friends where it entered the vehicle. And there was like a flash and it was gone. It's strange. I mean, even now looking back, what do you think that light was? I'm still kind of, I don't like actively think about it every day, but I still kind of, it still is kind of a question I have.

I wasn't doing anything that night, wasn't drinking, smoking, nothing like that. So I know, like, I wasn't hallucinating or anything. There was no, no vehicle behind me. And honestly, other than, other than the sheriff, I really didn't see any other cars that. that were, had anyone in them. Like, there was people at the bar at Afton, but no one's in the cars. So, I mean, maybe I just, maybe I was losing my mind one night or something. I have no idea.

My only thought is, I'm not, I don't want to go like the full alien dive, but I, obviously, they've been a mention of, well, the government said they're real. I've, Beloit's been a kind of a weird area in general. I've had friends, family, everything, say that they've seen stuff.

So I wouldn't be incredibly surprised if it could have been something like that. That's kind of my only thing I can really think of. I'm pretty open about all of it because they're, the way I see things and I think I mentioned it in the email about the Bigfoot, but it kind of goes further than that of,

there's a lot of things that so many groups of people across the world has stories of the exact same thing. And there's a level of they've never communicated. They've never had any interactions with each other, never known anything about it. And they've all got throughout different periods of time and the same periods of time, depictions of these things of roughly the same thing. So it wouldn't be, to me, it's not super crazy to think that we've got aliens or anything in that manner. No, I don't think it sounds like a crazy idea at all. You know, I used to think that too. For the longest time, I was like, are these like drones from somewhere else?

You know, like, because the way they fly around and the way they behave is intelligent. I mean, you may not think that because it came into your cab. But a lot of times if you listen to eyewitnesses, what they're describing is something intelligently flying around. But, you know, I still have a weird feeling that these balls of lights are spirits. You know, when I was a young kid, I was probably 14. There was a road that was near my home. And when everyone turned 16, they all went down to this road to see how fast their car would go. And I didn't know this at the time, but later I found out there was a woman that was killed in a car crash down there.

A young lady, I want to say it was back in the 60s, maybe 70s. and I have no doubt she was doing the same thing we were doing. She's probably seeing how fast her car would go. But for the longest time, there's a lure down on that road of the ghost car. And I remember being like 14 hearing my brother talk about it and his friends talk about it. You know, in a ghost car, it sounds awesome. I wanted to know what this ghost car looked like. And so I asked him, there was no description.

It was just two amber colored lights. and they would behave the same way you're describing. You know, I know what you saw was one where you were thinking it was a motorcycle. But down on this road, I remember my brother's friends talking about this ghost car coming up on them very, very quickly. And then it was just gone. When this thing entered your vehicle and it flashed out,

was there any sort of effects from that? No, shock. It was not like electricity shock. but like mental, emotional shock was the only thing of like what the actual... Oh, should I... That's all right, man.

I'll bleep it out. I get it. It's a shock of what is this thing and what's going on. Thank God there wasn't any physical effects. Before we get into your Bigfoot encounters and leading up to your sighting,

what was kind of your take on Bigfoot? it. Just a very blank level question of yes, I do believe that they're real. But it wasn't, it was one of those of like, yeah, I see them being real in that sense of like how I talked about of every, all the countries or countries and Native American tribes talking about them and they don't talk to each other and they'd war over each other if they interacted. But it, it was more or less a, it's not to say that I didn't, but there was also that little bit in me. It was like, there's still a little bit that I question. And like as a kid, especially in this area, there was so many things that I'd find where I would internally just ignore it and say, or not ignore it, but say, oh, that's cool.

There was multiple times looking back. We would find tree structures and all sorts of stuff. Like me and my cousin one time went for a walk in a section of woods pretty, or it's in Janesville, but in a little further away. and we found this whole structure of broken logs that were stacked in like a tp and these logs were four inches across in over 10 foot long i mean yeah someone could have gone out there and just stacked them all up but they were all about the same size snapped at about the same length and later on we'll talk about where i seen the big foot it's in the same stretch of it's called the ice age park or ice age trail me and my buddy were walking

and seen what looked like a footprint, it was only four and a half inches wide, but it was a damn near a foot long, or close to a foot long, 10 inches minimum. It was this long, almost like really tapered foot. It was weird. And my buddy looked down and goes, oh, look a big foot track and laughed. And at the time, I just laughed and kept walking because I never thought about it. I hear you. Well, if you would, would you walk me in?

into the siding or kind of what led up to it? So this was, it was this year, earlier in the year, like mid-May, I was alone. It was a part of, it was the Ice Age Trail that I was talking about earlier with my buddy. And the time that I was with my buddy, it was at the far other end up on like the separate trails. You have to get to that side. How do I explain it? So if you take Afton, you'd have to take a road. up and then to the right and left and out and around.

And it's like a whole separate section. Or you can park on Afton and it's this little parking lot. And I kind of said it in the email. But it's three main pathways on the right side. It's a concrete trail. It's like a biking trail. And people, that'll lead you up to the playground and the pool.

And if you go further eventually to the start of that path that me and him were on. The middle was literally just a little dirt trail. there's tons of little like just kind of worn down dirt trails out there it's what it's for and then to the left was this bridge that uh it's a nice little bridge but it actually got torn down by a tornado this year and when that uh when that happened it kind of created two little pools and when i was out with some previous uh some previous times of some buddies i'd look down seen them i love fishing and i was like man i really got to catch some of those i want to figure out what these are because they they looked like a little bass but i was like thinking they were Creek Chubs. So one day I get out there, have this 80-bitty little ultralight and the thing of worms. And I think I had my phone with me, my keys, the pole, and the worms. I had very little on me just in case like I fell in the water and started jigging at the bridge and caught a few.

They ended up being Creek Chubs. And I looked upstream and there's another little pocket. And I looked just a couple more yards up. There's a little like a sandbank. And I always said, oh, sweet. Well, I'd seen that trail. So I backed out and I walked down. And you walk down this trail and there's a tree and there's like a little loop where the trail goes.

And I took that loop and then down to the bank. And I was probably down there for five minutes, 10 minutes even. Just catching fish, ignoring everything, just kind of forgetting about the world. And I heard a stick snap. And I like being outside all the time. And if I hear something, I look for it. because a lot of the times up there, it's deer or something cool that you want to, it's nice to look at a deer 20 feet from you.

Well, when I glanced up, it wasn't a deer. There's rather big black like shape. And it, this all from when I looked up to when it took off was maybe a second and a half to two seconds. But I looked up and I distinctly seen the outline of head, shoulders, and black. and the second that I looked basically at its chest when I looked up. And the hair or fur, whatever you wanted to call it, reminded me of my shepherd Hank. He's got a little bit more of a coarse black hair. And that's kind of what it looked like.

And I looked up and it was, the best way I can describe it is when I looked up, it recognized that I had looked up and it realized, oh, something he's now paying attention and in one motion it like swit like turned its whole body and launched itself forward in this you know when you see like an Olympic runner like let's say Usain boat he'll go to take off there's a moment where you'll see his body move and then it starts to go in that like momentum starts to move forward and actually travel this thing turned and just started to like phase and start moving. Like there was no minute where it built pressure to the ground and like planted its foot nothing.

It just started going. And when it had kind of, it was crouched down more before it had turned. And when it went to turn, it kind of stood up. And when it stood up, it was, I was down in the creek bed a little bit. So it was tall. It would have been taller than me anyway. But this thing was probably six and a half foot tall, seven foot tall. but the thing that really got to me is when I looked up,

this thing was easily like four foot wide. I'm a bigger dude. I've got to get the big and tall shirts because I don't fit them or fit in anything else. Like I'm used to the like growing up, my dad's bigger guy and used to see him bigger people. And that was, it dwarfed any of us. Like my grandpa's over 6'6.

At one point he was, I think, 500 pounds, and this thing looked bigger than him. So I had looked up, it had seen me look up, and it just kind of rose, turned, and just launched itself. It itself didn't make any noise, didn't. I know in a lot of reports, people say they'll hear like a huff or a grunt or even any of the other like Sierra sounds where they'll like chatter or anything. It never made a noise other than the brush just completely getting destroyed when it took off and it sounded like four or five deer going crashing through the woods and kind of

kind of stood there like a baby just waiting because in my mind because when I looked up where it had been crouched was in between me and my vehicle at the time it had ran off but the whole time in my head once it had taken off it was like I just walked the thing was in between me and my vehicle and I or in between me and where my vehicle is meaning I had to cross that meaning at some point when I walked across that trail that thing was less than five foot from me and it was just like it was that whole rush of like what was that I did and in my head after about a minute it clicked in my head of number one get out of there probably a good idea that you quit I didn't hear it anymore so I made my way up got out of the riverbank and

hopped in my car I had opened the back throwing my pole in the back of the back of Trailblazer shut it, hopped in, and I'd hopped in, lock the door, and just before I could put the key in the car, I started freaking out of like, I'd just seen a big foot. That was actually what I thought it was. There's nothing else it could have been. And when I say nothing else, it could have been. We've had sightings of Black Bear around here, but with Black Bear, there's generally two or three things. Number one, they'll smell you and get out of there, or they'll start chomping their teeth well before I walked past it. We haven't had a black bear around here in years.

The last one was in Beloit that actually came up from Illinois. And a bear didn't, that's not a bear. I mean, I said bear was sitting up like on its, like a bear will sit kind of like a human, how they'll sit on their butt and sit up. Like that for the half split second until there was no ears. And then it took off and ran. so there was really nothing else that it like in my mind that there was running through it could have

been and it was like an oh my god moment of i really just seen what i think i seen yeah i can imagine the shock but there's also a little bit of comfort i mean if this thing really wanted you it could have had you and there's always that moment of like was that a bear and then you realize it's shoulders arms head nothing about your description sounds like you're not that you're like a bear and many eyewitnesses describe how quick they move. Have you ever gone back? I've been thinking about it to this day. There was part of me that wanted to go, as weird as it sounds, go down there and sit in the

car for that talk just because I know it's real peaceful. But then there was another part of me that goes, yeah, I'm not going down there without. Like I've really wanted to. And there's just like something stopped. in me right now. Maybe because it's just so fresh still and I'm still trying to like, I think I'm still trying to rationalize what it was. I've gone into the woods everywhere else since then. Like it hasn't deterred me from being outside at all. It has deterred me from that that specific part of the trail. I've even been on the north side of the trail where I've seen

that footprint since then. I've even been to the, I was at the, it's a pool, like a public pool there it's five bucks to get in. I went to a couple of my buddies the other day, which is, that's half the distance that the walking trail is from where I cited it. But there's, there's something about going down to that park and mountain walking in that trail that I just, I won't do it. Yeah, I get it. I get why you really don't want to go back. I'm sure over time you will go back. And I think most people feel that way after an encounter. I think a lot of times it takes people some time before they return to the site. I know it was kind of a brief sighting.

What do you think that these creatures are? I don't think they're like giganticus, but I do think they are more of an ancient race than anything. Because there is another YouTuber. His name is Bob Gimlin, and he did one of his videos. He talked about it. Imagine if there was a creature that evolved

of the same amount of time as us, and its entire time it was built, for evolution was for being able to perceive things around it, stay hidden and understand what's going on in its surroundings compared to pushing innovation like we did.

And that, it really would makes you think of how well hidden could something like that be if it really wanted to. If like you said it it would have had the same amount of time as we did to evolve to do this. I want to

to say it's closer to man, but not by much. And from other sightings I've heard, I know mine was insanely brief, but mine looked like a human head, like a domed head. It didn't, it didn't seem conical or pointy or anything. There's been some instances I've heard of some people saying it looked like someone was looking at them. And I think that it is probably, regional of like how we are of not in a racial way but like African Americans, their noses are larger to be able to breathe better because they're in a nicer or an environment where the oxygen is more of a even layer at an even humidity versus up in like Alaska with the Eskimos. Their noses are a lot thinner because of the cold. It would actually harm their nose and they

had to evolve the thinner nostrils. I think it's the same thing, kind of like that with them, of some places they evolved, maybe a little more towards that like, I guess closer to man to, I guess, like, quotes with that of being a little more having the communication, having the looks closer kind of in the overall shape and then there's some that haven't where you've heard them or heard stories of

or if you want to compare them like the Patterson Gimlin film of they've got the cone head the then the proportions overall I think that's kind of how they are I do think like I said overall

they're closer to men but very slightly yeah I appreciate your answer a lot of thought behind it I think what you're describing is adaptation, but it would make sense why some of their appearances might be different with regard to size and that sort of thing. It's a mystery man. You know, I had a guy contact me, and later I found out it's farther away from me than I thought. It was in the Kettle Moraine Oak Opening. And he had an encounter, he described it east of the Ice Age Trail.

But again, I know it's like an hour and a half from you, but there are reports that come out of there. Be safe when you're out there, man. And I really appreciate you taking the time to come on.
