Sasquatch Chronicles - SC EP:1278 Bermuda Triangle Survivor

Episode Date: August 2, 2026

Bermuda Triangle Survivor presents Pilot Bruce Gernon's astonishing experiences flying through the Bermuda Triangle and the groundbreaking theories he has created based on these encounters. He is the ...only living person to fly through the storm that creates one of the World's greatest mysteries. He has seen its birth and entered the heart at its maturity and escaped while experiencing a space/time warp, then witnessing its dissipation. Over the past four decades thousands of students have contacted him for help with research projects they were doing about the Bermuda Triangle. He has written this book for them and for anyone interested in meteorology and physics. You will learn new meteorological terms like Thunderstorm vortex tunnel, Timestorm and the Circular Vortex tunnel that he flew through in 1970. The most important thing he has discovered has a name that he coined in 1978, it called "ELECTRONIC FOG" and there has been thousands of planes, boats and people that have experienced it. Some seem to have disappeared while they were in the FOG. Could it have the power of an Event Horizon like a Black Hole? It took Bruce Thirty (30) years to discover the theory of how this fog works. He says if you think about a question for a very long time, eventually you will come up with the answer this is what he did. There are many theories of what caused the mystery, and the discovery of Rouge Waves has come to fruition, but that only applies to boats. The mystery still remains and after fifty (50) years "Electronic Fog" has become the case in point. There have been many animations on TV documentaries showing Bruce's flight experience, but none have ever shown it correctly. He has created a new video with animations that are three dimensional and shown never seen before details of what it looked like when he experienced the space/time warp and Electronic Fog. He has hopes that this will help students, researchers and scientists to open their minds and solve the mystery. Starting point is 00:00:53 The Bermuda Triangle. It's known for swallowing over 2,000 ships and 200 aircraft over the centuries. 127-12, switching good day off, 0.3412. 3,000, I was a subscription of 3023 on point 3412. Suscription 1-3,3025 on 1-342. On December 4, 1970, Bruce Gernan took off in his Beechcraft Bonanza. On board, Bruce had two passengers. his father and business partner.
Starting point is 00:01:55 They took off from Andros Island in the Bahamas and headed northwest for the Florida coast. This was a very typical flight for Bruce, as he had made this trip a dozen times. On average, it took him about an hour and a half from Andros to Miami. Bruce took off and started gaining altitude. At around 1,000 feet, Bruce noticed this weird black cloud. And it seemed to be growing. Bruce didn't have a choice. He flew into the black cloud.
Starting point is 00:02:31 And he came out the other end just fine. At 11,000 feet, Bruce noticed another very strange cloud. It was massive. Bruce had no choice but to fly into this strange cloud too as well. At that moment, it became dark as night around the aircraft. There was no light coming through. But this wasn't a storm cloud. and it was not raining.
Starting point is 00:03:09 All of a sudden Bruce saw a flash of light. It would appear and vanish, just like lightning. But this wasn't lightning. The flashes were so bright it lit up everything around the plane. Bruce continued to fly his plane for another 30 minutes when he realized this was the same cloud he had flown through the first time. But now it was in the shape of a tornado. He was almost flying through the center of it.
Starting point is 00:03:36 of it. Bruce said it was about a mile wide, and it seemed to be endless. About a minute later, Bruce saw light at the end of the tunnel. Bruce kept the yoke straight ahead. He was almost out of this nightmare. But just then, unexplainable things started happening. The opening of the tunnel started closing in on itself. The navigational instruments on the plane started going nuts. The compass was spinning by itself counterclockwise. It was like the plane was being operated by something else. Right before the tunnel closed on itself, Bruce was able to break free of this weird fog. Bruce would later say, after he came out of the storm, for about five or ten seconds, his plane seemed to be weightless.
Starting point is 00:04:44 The clouds dispersed, and Bruce was now in this week. weird grayish haze. After letting out a sigh of relief, Bruce contacted Ground Control and he wanted them to determine his location. Number 91815, 4-D4-D0. Ground Control was confused. Bruce's plane was not showing up on radar. 9815, let me stay last known position.
Starting point is 00:05:08 It's almost like he was invisible. A moment later, Ground Control contacted Bruce and let him know he was showing up on radar now. He was actually in Miami airspace. Bruce was shocked by this information. It couldn't be true. The distance the beachcraft was supposed to cover was about 250 miles. Remember, the whole trip generally took about 90 minutes, assuming there was no hiccups. But this time, it only took 47 minutes. This model of aircraft can only cruise about 180 miles per hour. When you do the math, you realize this is physically impossible. Bruce thought the dispatcher must be mistaken, but after the
Starting point is 00:05:59 clouds cleared, Bruce realized he was over Miami airspace. After landing the plane, Bruce thought, I got to solve this mystery. There's no way we got here in this time. After landing, Bruce checked the remaining fuel along with his watch. The plane had not gone through the amount of fuel required for this trip. Bruce had had the records pulled from Andros Tower, along with the records from Miami International. Again, the time does not add up. It is physically impossible to make this trip in the amount of time he did it. All the evidence in hand seemed to indicate that Bruce's plane just skipped over almost half
Starting point is 00:06:41 of the entire trip. Looking for answers, Bruce took all the evidence to experts and scientists trying to find an answer. No one was able to give Bruce an answer to what happened that day. It's almost like Bruce was able to jump space and time. What really happened on December 4th, 1970? It looked like somebody was bent over and had their head in the window of the deer blind and it either heard me or smelt me and he pulled his head out of the tent and stood straight up and
Starting point is 00:07:23 That shocked me. They don't make people that big. The way it moved, almost as if it was gliding across the beach. I've never seen anything move like that in my life. They were screaming at each other in gibberish. It sounded like a language and they were chuntering away back and forwards, back and forward, back and forwards.
Starting point is 00:08:03 I know what a bear looks like and there is no way on this planet of what I saw were bears. What are you reporting? Greg Andrews from Orlando, Florida and you're listening to Sasquatch Chronicles. Welcome to the show, everyone. Thanks for being here tonight. We're going to be chatting with Bruce Gernan and I've always wanted to interview him. There in the intro, you kind of heard the overall story of what happened
Starting point is 00:09:29 to Bruce. If you get a chance, go check out his book, Bermuda Triangle Survivor. Pilot tells what he experienced in the heart of the phenomenon, and it's available on Amazon. And Bruce and his wife created a YouTube channel called Beyond the Bermuda Triangle. Bruce and his wife Lynn, they put together some pretty cool videos on there. There's animation and Bruce kind of talks about the tunnel and the electronic fog. But again, I'll include a link to below, go check out the channel and subscribe. If you've had an encounter and you'd like to be on the show, shoot me an email. My email address is Wes at Sasquatch Chronicles.com. And if you get a chance to check out Sasquatch Chronicles.com, you can become a member and get additional shows. Let's jump
Starting point is 00:10:22 into it tonight. I want to welcome Bruce to the show. Bruce thanks for coming on. Yeah, thanks for having me. Yeah, I appreciate you being here. I've always wanted to interview you. And I've been so fascinated with what happened to you back in 1970. And I know your book, Bermuda Triangle Survivor, Pilate tells what he experienced in the heart of the phenomenon. I know it's available on Amazon.
Starting point is 00:10:51 Is there any other place people can find that book? No, Amazon's the main distributor of that book. and I wrote that for young adults, so it's not very long. It's only like 100 pages. It's got the most details, though, of I've ever written before about the details of the part where I flew through this huge time storm, I call it, over the Great Bahamahman Bank. Well, if you would, would you take me back to 1970 and walk us into this whole encounter that you had out there in the Bermuda Triangle?
Starting point is 00:11:31 Yeah, that was on December 4th of 1970. That's the day you're talking about, then I had this experience coming back from Andros Island in the Bahamas. And Andrews is the largest of all the Bahama Islands. And we were flying out of Palm Beach International Airport. back then it was a 210 mile flight and we would cross Andros interior of the island, which is totally on explored. And then we'd encounter the Great Bahamas Bank, which is the largest area of shallow waters in the Bahamas and maybe even in the entire Caribbean. It's called the Great Bahamas Bank.
Starting point is 00:12:21 and it's about 20 feet deep on average. It takes up a large area between Androsy Island and Bimini. It's about 50 to 60 miles wide and long. The length would be a little bit longer, probably about 100 miles. And we would cross over that and then approach Bimini and then reduce instruments. the airplane back then we didn't have a lot of weather instruments none on the airplane and but we had instruments that would guide us to bimini and and then we'd go just to make a slight turn to the north and then we'd head to pomech international so i had made this
Starting point is 00:13:10 fight about a dozen times because we we had a real estate deal we were working on in andros and the day before my dad and I and our business partner, I went to Andros and we were working on the project of developing an island that's just off Andros. It's a part of Andros. Everything went good. So we were planning on leaving first thing in the morning, early in the morning and probably like at three, four o'clock. So it started raining and then thunderstorms built up. and by the time it was 7, 8 o'clock in the morning,
Starting point is 00:13:56 Anderos Island was, it looked like it was entirely covered with thunderstorms and lots of lightning. And I was flying VFR back then, not really by instruments like the airlines were doing. What's VFR? I'm just curious. Visual. It means visual flight rules. and then there's IFR, which is instrument flight rules. So when you're flying in band, whether you're supposed to be using the IFR, and in VFR weather, there's restrictions on visibility.
Starting point is 00:14:36 So the visibility was probably three miles. It had to be at least over three miles to go VFR, but we didn't want to fly in thunderstorm weather. So we had to wait it out until finally started clearing up in the afternoon. And so we went to the airport to see how the weather would look. And it was looking okay. It was just a light rain by 2 o'clock in the afternoon. So we flew flight at the airplane and we took off.
Starting point is 00:15:13 And I took off at exactly 3 o'clock. And the time was the main part of aviation back then. It's called Dead Reckoning. You'd use time and your compass heading to figure out your location because they didn't have GPS back then, which made a huge difference today because you'd always know where you're located. When we took off, I looked at my watch. It was exactly 3 p.m.
Starting point is 00:15:45 So that was important that we know it at the time. And the flight should take right around 90 minutes to get to Palm Beach. And it could be just over that. Depends on the winds. And so we climbed up to 1,000 feet and it was overcast in about 1,500 feet. We didn't know what the weather was. we couldn't get a weather report, which is really required to have a weather report before you go on a trip. Is that something the tower would give you?
Starting point is 00:16:27 Yeah, but you had to get out the altitude to reach the tower. There were no phones on Andros back then. So we flew over the interior of the island at 1,000 feet, and everything was stable, just a light rain, though. And as we approached the Great Bahamah Bank and the ocean, I could see that it looked like it was clear weather. So that was a good sign. We kept heading out toward the ocean. And then I could look out over the ocean when I saw this, the first sign of this strange time storm is what I call it. And this storm was really different than many of these other time storms.
Starting point is 00:17:13 I've witnessed. This one was more like a squaw. You could call it compared to a squall and similar in size. But not the first cloud. The first cloud was this lenticular cloud. And lenticular clouds usually only form at very high altitudes, like over 10,000, usually 20,000. That's an old, it's like an old shape cloud, kind of like a lens of a camera. It looked hard. but it was odd. It was like hovering 500 feet above the great pound of bank. And it was about a mile long and, say, half mile wide and maybe a thousand feet thick. And it had these silky edges to it. That's what made it look different than any other normal cloud at a low altitude.
Starting point is 00:18:03 But it looked harmless. So it was right on my flight path. I was using this one inch instrument called the Automatic Direction Finder which was just a needle and it would point to radio tower on Bimini. We were head to direct to Bimini. And so I flew over this cloud. And then I got a hold of Miami radio and I got up to about 2,000 feet or so and started finding my flight plan on the radio.
Starting point is 00:18:36 They told me the weather was good. And there were no storms in between Andros and, Florida. And so that was great news and clear sailing, you know. And then when I got to about 4,000 feet, I signed off with Miami flight plan, flight following. And so that's when I noticed that this little cloud that I had flown over was still right below us. That was unusual. And I thought, Well, maybe it's the birth of a cumulonimbus thunderstorm. And I just happened to fly right over it at the same exact time that it was growing. So then the cloud caught up to us.
Starting point is 00:19:24 And we're climbing at 1,000 feet per minute. And it's building up faster than that. So it was probably building up at 1,500 feet a minute. And so I had to go inside the cloud. and there wasn't any good visibility when we got inside it and we kept going and then I was able to pop out of it after I was in it for maybe 30 seconds or almost a minute and that was good but then
Starting point is 00:19:55 the cloud would catch up to us again and I'd have to go back in it and this went on about five times I had to go in it And when we got to 10,000 feet, my dad was the co-pilot and a navigator. He suggested that we turn around and go back to hand us. So I had to think about that. The guy was pilot in command, so I told him, well, we're just going a little bit higher. And then, yeah, we're after turn around because we can't fly over 15,000 feet.
Starting point is 00:20:36 because we needed oxygen if we got up that high. But then when we got to 11,500 feet, we broke free. It was clear skies again in front of me. But then when I looked to the sides of me and behind me, I was pretty amazed that this cloud that had built up underneath us had spread out behind us and on both sides of us. And I noticed it was unusual the way it looked like a squaw
Starting point is 00:21:08 but the edges of it were almost like that lenticular cloud. They were kind of, they were smooth. When I looked to the height of it, now they probably built up to over 20,000 feet. And I didn't realize at the time I was going at 105 miles an hour while I was climbing.
Starting point is 00:21:31 Apparently it was spreading out. way faster than 105 miles an hour. It was building up and maybe 2,000 feet a minute, but it was spreading out, maybe over 200 miles an hour or so. So visibility was about 10 miles, so on either side of me, I could see it spread out in that semicircle shape,
Starting point is 00:21:55 almost like a horseshoe behind us and on the sides of us. I level off and 11,500 and relaxed at that point because I was a little tense going in and out of that clouds but I didn't get to relax for too long so I'm cruising now
Starting point is 00:22:16 like almost 200 miles an hour five minutes later I look in front of me and now here's that same shape semicircle or horseshoe shape, torus shape they call it but now it's in front of me and set it behind me.
Starting point is 00:22:34 And it's almost like it's embracing me to go through it again. So that's what I did. I penetrated into it. But before I did that, I noticed another strange thing. It was laying right on the surface of the ocean. Unlike a normal squall would have like rain underneath it. And the cloud base or ceiling would be, maybe one or two thousand feet.
Starting point is 00:23:02 And I could have flown under that, but there wasn't anything to fly under. And 10,000 feet is the most dangerous part of most storms. So I knew I shouldn't fly through it, but I thought I'd penetrate it because it didn't look like it was any lightning in it or anything until I entered it. And then it was kind of strange again. And the visibility, instead of being like nothing,
Starting point is 00:23:31 I had when we were near Andros, now the disability was at least two miles because I could see the ocean below me and were over two miles high. But there wasn't any rain. But then when they got in like a half a mile, then I saw this lightning. And there were flashes like everywhere.
Starting point is 00:23:54 These flashes would go all. not lightning bolts so there were just flashes like a strobe light kind of and the deeper I got which was at least a mile almost two miles it turned to black and then turned bright white when whenever the flash would go off so it's really weird I'm seeing I'm seeing clouds in the ocean below me when it bright when the flash goes, but when the flash turns off, I can't see anything. It's like in the black abyss. So at that point, though, I heard about three months and my dad says, well, what are you going to do? And I didn't have to really say anything. I just immediately took a left turn and then pop back out of
Starting point is 00:24:42 the clouds. Can I ask you, Bruce, and I'm not a pilot, I would love to be a pilot, but would it makes sense to kind of dive down to the deck to get out of this storm? Or does that make it worse for a pilot? Well, yeah, I've flown through stars before and, yeah, I would fly underneath them. Right through the rain and the lightning, it'd be a little bumpy and scary when you do that. But you could do that. I was taught to never fly up into the cloud itself because that's really, you can encounter updrafts and down drafts like over 100 miles an hour.
Starting point is 00:25:24 And at 10,000 feet, they said it was the worst part of the storm. So you should either fly over it or under it, but not through the middle of it. I would imagine, too, if you fly through a storm, your chances of getting hit by lightning go up exponentially. When you saw these flashes of light and you thought it was lightning, but it wasn't behaving like lightning, what did you think it was? Well, yeah, I thought they were lightning. But the unusual part was that the heat lightning was, what they used to call it that I'd see often. But that would be lightning from a distance. So all you would see is a flash instead of the bolt.
Starting point is 00:26:09 And then there's the cloud-to-cloud lightning, which can be lightning bolts going back and forth in the cloud instead of going down into the ocean or the land. These are just flashes instead of the lightning bolts. So what I thought was this is very intense And the deeper I went in, the more intense this lightning became So that's why I made a sharp turn to get out of it. It became way too intensive. And I thought it was just another form of lightning.
Starting point is 00:26:44 I have talked to some experts that have flown into storms that work for the government. And when I explained, that to only they said yeah they've seen that before they've experienced that before and yeah so i flew out of the cloud so i'm still at 11,500 feet and so what i figured was i well fly along the edge of it but and head south but the first as soon as i popped out of it i contacted the miami tower and i told them i'm deviating from my flight course which was direct to biblestown Bimini was like around 45 miles away.
Starting point is 00:27:27 I told him there's a big storm and I don't want to fly through it, so I'm going to go around it. The air traffic controllers act a real calm, you know, no big deal. I can understand why now, but back then I couldn't. He didn't think there was any storms out there. And apparently this storm didn't show up on radar because just 15 minutes ago they told me there were no storms out there in the Bahamas. And here's this big storm. So he told me you're calling back when you get around the storm.
Starting point is 00:28:04 So, sure, okay. So I'm flying along the edge of the storm for a few minutes, and then I'm looking in front of me, and I can see that the curve of the skull was aiming right back toward the storm that I had just escaped the one that was right next to Andros. And then I realized, well, the two must be connected. And I'm kind of like trapped inside this donut-shaped squaw.
Starting point is 00:28:35 I wasn't sure what to do exactly then. But then I noticed where two of the ends of the squaw, and this was like almost on the opposite end of the, where the squall formed in Andros, the two opposite ends, They spread out on each side of it, and then they formed this tourist shape, and then the clouds first connected on the bob. And then there was a big gap, like a valley, in between the two clouds, where they had connected. And I could see it was clear sky, which was aiming right toward Miami.
Starting point is 00:29:17 So I figured, oh, I'll shoot through that valley. So we changed our heading, which was like aiming right toward Miami, and the clouds kept building up. And then the anvilheads formed on the two clouds on each end. And so there was an antelhead that kept forming. And then what happened was that two anvoh heads connected to each other on the top, formed a huge round opening now instead of a valley. And here I'm aiming right forward. And so this was a big decision whether to go ahead and fly through this big circular opening tunnel or turn around. I figured, well, I didn't want to turn around because I'd end up having to fly through the whole darn storm.
Starting point is 00:30:08 So I get going, and this tunnel started getting smaller. I've seen these, you know, after that. And I recently got a video of one of these. They usually take from three to five minutes to form right after two anvil heads meet and form a circular. Which is probably a mile wide. And then it goes down to half a mile. And then within five, three minutes even, it'll end up only like 100 feet in diameter. And then it'll collapse.
Starting point is 00:30:46 and disappear. So it started off like a mile wide, and I'll aim in for it, and then I notice it's now it's like a half mile wide, and the center of it is a little lower than us. It's at 10,000 feet. We're in a 10,000 feet. So I started descending, and then I notice it now. It's only, say, 500 feet wide. And so I went to full power and brought the speed up to about 230 miles an hour, the red line.
Starting point is 00:31:26 And then we shot into the opening, which at that time was decreasing from 500 down to 400, maybe. and the strange things happened as soon as the aircraft entered the tunnel it changed its appearance and these small pus of clouds instantly formed and each cloud was about the size of a say a school bus and each one was separated by say the length of a school bus and then there'd be another one and they're all lined up all the way to the end of the other end of the tunnel. And there was a whole series of them, like looking down a rifle barrel is what it looked like. And then I noticed it's slowly rotating counterclockwise.
Starting point is 00:32:20 And then I noticed that it's shrinking. See, when I entered it, it was at least 10 miles long and horizontal. And as soon as I started flying through it, it went from 10 miles long to like only a mile long. It slowly shrank while I was in it. It contracted. And that's when I was seeing what I call the fabric of time. I was seeing time and space,
Starting point is 00:32:51 space time activating itself into a different form. What do you mean when you say that? Well, it's pretty complicated. I just had an interview with AI about this. What they came up with is pretty incredible. I don't have the notes in front of me. They explained what I was seeing as I went through this tunnel. I was seeing time being contracted.
Starting point is 00:33:19 So it's probably similar to a wormhole, but maybe different than a wormhole the way it contracted like that. So it ends up, I was only in it for 20 seconds. and when I reached the other end of it, the wingtips scraped the edges of it. It had shrunk down to like 30 feet or so. And when I looked back after I exit it, it collapsed right behind me and turned into a slit. And the slit was rotating clockwise now because I'm looking at it from the other end. and the blue sky that I thought I was going to
Starting point is 00:34:00 and her disappeared. It wasn't there. I was in this strange great fog that I called electronic fog. I've interviewed many pilots that have been in this electronic fog. It's not like a regular fog. It has an electric magnetic substance in it. And so when you look at it, it kind of sparkles a little bit. You can't really see that far,
Starting point is 00:34:30 but it gives you the feeling that you can see far. It's kind of, it's really, really strange to almost unexplainable how you could think you can see far, and yet actually you're not seeing very far. It makes everything kind of fuzzy all around you. And as soon as that, and then also zero gravity,
Starting point is 00:34:53 I was getting a feeling of zero gravity right around, then. But that went away after only 10 seconds. And then I look at all my navigational instruments and they're all now functioning. And so even the magnetic compass, the wet compass in front of us is slowly rotating counterclockwise. And it was rotating around the same speed and direction counterclockwise as inside the tunnel. So apparently whatever was inside that tunnel, when I got out of it, part of it attached itself to the aircraft. I was able to contact Miami radio.
Starting point is 00:35:38 I told them I was like 90 miles east of Miami. They could tell by the tone of my voice, I suppose, that I was in trouble. But I was kind of like a macho man back then and acting like I wasn't afraid of anything. And so the air traffic controller said was, he can't find me on radar. That didn't help too much. At that point, my dad went into a state of panic. And he grabbed the microphone from me and started yelling at the traffic controller. I had to take the mic away from him and calm them down.
Starting point is 00:36:17 because the airplane was still flying anyway, but I slowed down to about 180 and just concentrated on maintaining the same direction that I was in when I was inside a tunnel. I didn't make any turns at all because my instruments were malfunctioning, so I guess I realized I don't want to use my instruments. So I just concentrated using my mind that's. steer the plane on the correct heading. And then another strange thing
Starting point is 00:36:53 happened. These lines formed around the airplane and they were like parallel to my direction of flight. And I thought the lines went on for many miles. In reality, now I realize they just went on for
Starting point is 00:37:09 many yards. And what happened was the lines turned into cracks. And then the electronic fog electronically dissipated. and it took like less than 10 seconds before the cracks that get so wide that they all attached to each other and then
Starting point is 00:37:25 it was just some clear skies and I turned around expecting to see a huge fog back behind the airplane and then there was no fog back. I didn't understand that it took me 30 years actually to understand it that it was attached us
Starting point is 00:37:41 I wasn't flying through it. I was flying with it. just as soon as that happens, the air traffic controller comes on the rig down. He's really excited. He says, I got an airplane directly over Miami Beach. And I told him, no, that can't be us. But my eyes hadn't quite adjusted yet because I was in that dull gray fog
Starting point is 00:38:04 and all of a sudden bright sun of Florida, South Florida. And then I focus and look down below. And there's Miami Beach right below me. I looked at my watch and it said, no. I told the guy, you were probably 80 miles east of Miami. He said, are you sure?
Starting point is 00:38:24 And I'm like, yeah, no, wait, that's Miami. You're right. And so I signed off there, and I flew from there to Palm Beach International. And when we touched down, I checked my time, and the flight took 47 minutes. and, you know, that wasn't normal. It was like at least 30 minutes ahead of time.
Starting point is 00:38:49 And I knew something incredible had just taken place, but I didn't understand what it was. I wanted to ask you, Bruce, you and your father and your business partner, you guys had flown this many times. This wasn't like your first flight out of Andros. And many years ago, I sat down and did the math on your beachcraft. Bonanza aircraft, which is a single engine, and your top speed is like 200 miles an hour.
Starting point is 00:39:20 I'm sure you could redline it and get another 20 miles an hour, but you're not going to push an aircraft like that for very long. You know, what normally takes 90 minutes, I don't even think you could actually do it in an hour with that aircraft. But here you guys did it in 47 minutes. What was that conversation like? I think I would have been freaking out. Well, the truth is we didn't have a conversation about it.
Starting point is 00:39:50 But I suppose we were all in shock. But there was nothing we could say because nothing made sense. What we just did was impossible. And it didn't seem possible if we did it. And everybody was fine. So we just acted like nothing happened. The Bermuda Triangle had just become well known at that point. I had never heard about it until a year later.
Starting point is 00:40:24 I heard that there was this strange occurrences going on out there in the Bahamas. And the scientist, Ivan Sanderson, was the one that reminded me of it. He said it had something to do with time. and that's when it hit me. I realized that what time was the answer, really, as to what happened. I had never thought of that until he mentioned it. And so I started studying time. And UFOs, too, because just the month after I had made that flight,
Starting point is 00:41:04 I had a close encounter of the first kind, it's called, with a flying saucer I was flying with a friend at night and I flew over Miami and then I hit it offshore and it just happened to be the same altitude that I was on before at 10,000 feet and the same flight path
Starting point is 00:41:27 on the I'm naming the opposite way is when I had this experience my friend and I both see way off shore kind of like an orange light and it's making a little strange move just kind of bobbing up and down
Starting point is 00:41:44 it reminds me of the way Columbus explained what he saw once it was he said it was like a candlelight but it kept making plenty of moves and that's what this was doing
Starting point is 00:41:55 and then we got about five miles offshore and we have to we've been watching this thing the whole time for like a minute or so and all of a sudden it shoots right at us
Starting point is 00:42:08 collision of course it came right out of us so close it took up the whole windshield at one point so it must have been two or three hundred feet in diameter I thought we were going to die I thought that was the end
Starting point is 00:42:26 but I went ahead and made a sharp left turn deep as I could and when I looked back it was disappeared So that was really something So I figured Well UFOs seemed to have something to do with this
Starting point is 00:42:42 tidal Yeah, that's fascinating You were that close to a UFO You kind of mentioned it was an orange light Was it like a ball of light Or were you seeing an actual ship For lack of a better term No, it wasn't not
Starting point is 00:42:59 It was not a ball of light It was a regular flying saucer with a glowing orange, say it's over 200 feet in diameter and maybe 50 to 80 feet thick. And then it had a dome on the top of it. That's not the first one I saw. I mean, that's the first one that I got close to.
Starting point is 00:43:25 But then after that, I saw more of these flying saucers that all looked the same. Yeah, I want to ask you about that. I know you even had a big foot encounter. I promised your wife I would only keep you an hour and I don't want her yelling at me. Kind of going back to the tunnel for a moment. I realize all your gauges and everything are just going crazy while you're flying through this tunnel. But were the actual controls of the plane? Were they working? I mean, did you have? I realize when you get out to the gray fog, you know, your plane is kind of weightless. You're a, you're a car. experiencing this weightlessness. But in the actual tunnel, did you have control over the plane?
Starting point is 00:44:10 Yeah, physically, the plane had complete control. Of course, it, the yoke controls the elevators and the rudders and the tail with cables. And so it's all physical stuff. It was just the electronic stuff.
Starting point is 00:44:27 Anything electronic was malfunctioning. But the engine kept on in, so that was good. What pilots do, though, is they, when they get in this electronic fog, they don't realize that there is such a thing as electronic fog. And even if they did realize that they wouldn't know it's attached to them, if they think maybe they're flying through a haze or something like that. Let's make some lose control and end up having spatial disorientation and then entering a graveyard spiral.
Starting point is 00:45:03 that's happened many times to pilots. How long were you guys flying in that electronic fog? That's exactly three minutes. My dad went into a state of panic at one point, and then this is what this electronic fog can do to you. And then our passenger went into a state of nauseousness. When he tried to speak, it would only be like a mumble coming out. You couldn't understand that one word.
Starting point is 00:45:34 And that was why we were in the fog. So I had to completely ignore him because he started to distract me, trying to talk to me. And he was all messed up. So it can do many things to you. It can make you pass out. That's another thing. It can do it. It can put you to sleep.
Starting point is 00:45:53 And when you came out of that tunnel burst, you're now on this fog. You had said that there was lines forming. would you kind of describe what you were actually seeing? Well, I think it had something to do with the atmosphere of transitioning from over the ocean to over the land, because that's exactly where it took place. It took place real fast. It was only five seconds, and it was gone. So it's kind of hard to explain.
Starting point is 00:46:26 I've got it on my YouTube channel on... Bermuda Files is the name of my channel. And if you Google my name, you can see all these videos we've made. And one of the videos or two of them will show what it look like when the fog dissipated. It's animated. Yeah, and I'll include a link to your channel, Bruce. And I hope people go check it out and subscribe. I have watched some of the animations on your channel.
Starting point is 00:46:58 the channel's called Beyond the Bermuda Triangle. Check it out if you get a chance. Bruce, you know, when you were flying through that tunnel and as it was kind of collapsing on you, do you think if you were still inside of it when it collapsed, it would have killed you? That's a good question, because I've been thinking about that for over 50 years.
Starting point is 00:47:23 I think I would have died. Yeah, I think I would have died. Whether I disappeared, is what the big question is. What would I, like, disintegrate it into another dimension maybe? That's the big question. Because I know there was a young kid way back in 1978. He flew a small airplane like mine, only even smaller, little Cessna 172.
Starting point is 00:47:51 And he had two of his buddies with him. And they were going into the Bahamas. And so they were over Miami. Then they started heading out to, you know, probably Bimini because that's a local pattern. And when you got quite a ways off shore, he entered a tunnel. And it sounds like the same area where I was. And when they got inside the tunnel, they didn't make it to the other end. So now he's like 10, 20 miles off shore of Miami.
Starting point is 00:48:21 And then he pops out of the cloud and ends up, he's over Cuba. So he was transported, just like I was. And he ended up being transported to the south, where I went to the west. So they transported him south, southeast, and he ends up right over to. And he wasn't even sure what island it was. So he saw a road, and he landed on the road. And I guess they're still all right, but everything's still kind of, still kind of hazy, they said.
Starting point is 00:48:56 So he gets, lands on a road there, and I guess he meets a farmer or something like that. The guy's speaking Spanish. He's, where am I? Cuba. He's, oh, no, I got to get out of him because back then they were having problems in Cuba. So
Starting point is 00:49:11 they popped back in the airplane and they took off again. And then apparently this electronic fog was still attached to him. So now he's flying somewhere in the Bahamas and he's I guess he's all confused and I ended up crash landing in the great Exuma I think it's called her in Agua.
Starting point is 00:49:35 Inagua that's another almost 200 miles away apparently he couldn't handle it very well because the fog was still messing him up and this time they made a crash landing and he died but the two buddies of his survived and they got to tell the story but neither of them were pilots and they didn't know what the hell happened but they did explain
Starting point is 00:50:02 about the tunnel and the fog and so your question was would I have died and I would say well yeah probably I would have either done a crash landing being so disoriented with the fog and
Starting point is 00:50:17 lose control of the airplane or I would have disappeared. That's the really big question. Do they actually leave the earth to another reality? There's a lot of theories now that's where they go if they disappear, if they went through a portal, because they're saying these tunnels could be portals to another reality. You know, the Bermuda Triangle really is a weird,
Starting point is 00:50:49 a weird place. There's so many ships that have vanished there. It's not just aircraft, but actual boats. I think it was back in 1918, the USS Cyclops. It was a Navy cargo ship, and it had about 300 people on board. Just vanished. No one knows what happened to it. And I'm sure you know the famous case of Flight 19 back in 45,
Starting point is 00:51:18 where five U.S. Navy, I believe they were flying Avengers, and they run a normal training exercise. And I believe the flight lead, his name was Charles Taylor. But all of those guys in that flight, they had flown that training mission several times. This was kind of a final mission. And they vanished. They were gone. No one knows what happened to them. and then the rescue plane that went out after them also vanished.
Starting point is 00:51:51 And there's a lot of theories trying to explain it away as something normal. But almost in all these cases, right before the people vanish, they're having trouble with radio communications. I think in a flight 19th case, the tower couldn't see them. They could communicate with them over the radio, but they couldn't see them. and Charles Taylor, the flight lead, he was like disoriented. And it makes me wonder if the rest of the guys were disoriented. Because any one of those guys could have been the flight lead.
Starting point is 00:52:25 Do you think some of these strange cases of, especially when it comes to aircraft, them vanishing, do you think that they most likely experienced what you experienced? Nobody, nobody's flown through that tunnel that's alive anyway right now. I'm the only one. but many, many pilots and boats have been in the electronic fog. So this tunnel only lasts like three to five minutes and it's gone. But when it closes, my theory is that it emits like a sphere of this electronic fog. And similar to other fogs, the electronic fog can last for many hours.
Starting point is 00:53:08 and according to the winds, if there are updrafts, it can go up higher, and a plane could fly into it up high, or it could drift down to Earth or over the ocean. In a boat or a person walking, even, or a car could enter it. I've had, over the years, there have been many people that have called me that have been in the electronic fog. And I kind of help relieve their minds because some of them were really bothered, because they also went through space time.
Starting point is 00:53:42 There was a gap. All of a sudden, they're in another place. It could be 10 miles away or 20, whatever. They kept thinking, am I crazy? Or did this really happen? And after I explained to them, it really happened because it happened to me. And that kind of relieves them when they hear me tell them that. So yeah
Starting point is 00:54:07 That let fog It's affected many people Yeah I was thinking about The account that the gentleman shared with you Bruce How they were flying and then all of a sudden they're over Cuba And couldn't figure out how they got over Cuba And it makes me wonder about going back to flight 19 You know one of the theories is
Starting point is 00:54:29 Charles Taylor turned the wrong way Got way off course Got lost ran out of gas and they all had to ditch their planes in the ocean. But people tend to forget, these guys had flown that, that same mission several times over. And these were all experienced guys. These are very experienced Navy pilots. And flying this same pattern over and over and over again, and this is the final time,
Starting point is 00:54:59 Charles took a wrong turn. I just don't buy it. That would be like you and I going to, You'd be like me going to the grocery store. I go to every week. And it's like, well, I just took a wrong turn and, you know, Wes is gone. He vanished. It doesn't make any sense.
Starting point is 00:55:15 And so maybe going along with that theory with Charles Taylor, maybe he did fly off course. But maybe it was something like what happened to you and what happened to that other guy that shared that account with you. And I know you had brought up time storms. You know, when you think about like wormholes and black holes, a lot of weird stuff happens with time. They've actually proven with math, like with a black hole. If I were to see you Bruce fly into a black hole and I'm at a distance,
Starting point is 00:55:46 I would never actually see you enter that black hole. It would almost be like kind of pausing a movie. But from your time perspective, you'd be dead. You'd gone through the black hole. You'd be crushed. You'd be dead. But from my perspective, I would just see you start to enter the black hole but never really enter it. And I realize wormholes and black holes are two different things. But a lot of weird
Starting point is 00:56:09 stuff happens with time in wormholes as well. You had brought up time storms. Have you seen, and I'm not talking about the electronic fog. I'm talking about the actual tunnel you flew through. Have you seen that before? I've seen many, many of them. They form in between two thunderstorms. I've got, I had one good photo of them that I captured in, in 1978. But just recently, I not only captured photos, I got a video, and we took it from on top of a five-story condominium facing Florida Bay and the Everglades. And many of these storms form over the Everglades. so we watched this one for him and I could tell
Starting point is 00:57:00 oh it's going to be a tunnel vortex and so we actually got a video of it the whole thing took it like about five minutes and then it dissipated but we got some incredible footage of it and then we took a
Starting point is 00:57:16 close up of it it showed that the tunnel just before it collapsed started changing shapes like polygonal shapes and then it ended up in a square rectangle about
Starting point is 00:57:33 30 feet in diameter I showed this I've been working with the scientists and he's a meteorologist and a physicist and mathematician and he's the first one I showed him the close-ups of the tunnel and he said he's in Nebraska professor there
Starting point is 00:57:55 their college, the University of Nebraska, and he writes back to me, oh, no, those are just pixels, he said. That's not a really square. I thought it was, though. I took the digital photo to a Miami laboratory for photography. After I'd ask some experts, and they all said, that's real. It's not pixel. So I had the real laboratory, analyze it, and they said it's real.
Starting point is 00:58:28 Those aren't pixels. And so then I sent it back to my professor. And so he apparently did a lot of work on it. And he thinks we discovered something amazing that has to do with physics. He says when he turned into a polygon, that's an indication of it's affecting space time. He's been working on this for years. And it's evolved into the creation of a warp drive engine that he's created in his laboratory. And he's even got a patent on it now.
Starting point is 00:59:05 So he says in his laboratory, he's created the same thing that I experienced when I went through the tunnel. He can transport space time. When I came out of the tunnel, that's when I really got teleported. See, I entered it 100 miles from Miami. I was in it like 20 seconds at the most. And when I came out of it, I thought I was like 90 miles from Miami. But I wasn't 90 miles from Miami.
Starting point is 00:59:37 I came out of it only 10 miles offshore of Miami. So I was teleported 80 miles, like instantly almost. I think when your average person hears that, that it sounds insane. But we know where you took off from. We know where and when you took off from. We know where and when you landed. And we know what you were flying.
Starting point is 01:00:03 I could probably buy into that theory. And I would love to see any research or anything about that professor there in Nebraska. I'm going to look that patent up. One of the other things I was curious about when you guys landed, was there any physical effects that you guys had from the tunnel or the fog? Well, let me see. The latest thoughts are that there could be something that they've discovered. They have at the Skinwalker Ranch out in Utah.
Starting point is 01:00:41 There's something going on there. It could be a portal. Scientists are analyzing it. But they say you get some of the people that go, they get what's called the hitchhiker effect. Yeah, and the hitchhiker effect is, I guess a simple example, would be you're investigating a haunted home, and things come home with you afterwards.
Starting point is 01:01:07 Is that kind of what you mean? I mean, would you explain the hitchhiker effect? The hitchhiker, I can explain the hitchhiker effect with me, but the hitchhiker effect that they get, I'm not too sure about it. It relates to that ranch, and the strange things that are going on there. But the way it might relate to me is that it's made me closer to time, more or less, space time.
Starting point is 01:01:37 And I can kind of see the future sometimes, and I can say something that's in the future sometimes, without even realizing that I said it until I hear me say it and it comes true in the future. That's happened quite a few times with me. The first time I got it was shortly after I had had that experience in the Vernuit of a triangle
Starting point is 01:02:06 a year or two later it was. I knew we were going to see a flying saucer coming back from a ski trip we made in North Carolina. And we were on an airliner. And so I got the window seat on purpose because I knew it would be offshore. And then sure is heck, when we started coming into Palm Beach,
Starting point is 01:02:33 descending, and there it was, a huge UFO, just like the one that I had a close encounter with. And it was cruising just offshore, not far off shore. It was glowing orange, and it was the same size as the one that I experienced earlier. And when it would go through a cloud, it would light up the whole cloud. And you couldn't see it.
Starting point is 01:02:58 There were scattered cumulose clouds. And then it would come out and you could see it. It was incredible. And then after we saw that, that I realized I could see it again the next night if we went to the ocean. off a Delray Beach, South Florida, I'd see the lion saucers again. So we'd go to the beach. I knew it would happen around 9 o'clock night. And here they come.
Starting point is 01:03:28 And so the first one, they were further offshore, this time. They were a mile and a half offshore. And the first one comes from the south, and they're going fast, six, seven hundred miles an hour. and it goes from the north to the south, right by us in just a matter of like five seconds or something. And then when it disappears out of sight to the south, here comes another one on the same exact flight path. All heading toward the, you know, like the Pramuda Child, like triangle, I guess you could say. And the second one, the same thing.
Starting point is 01:04:05 And then here comes the third one. And I had these zoom binoculars and I zoomed in on it with the binoculars and I could see. Yeah, that's definitely the same kind we saw before with a dome on the top. And then the fourth one comes by. Same thing. And then the fifth one comes by, and when it gets right even with us, it makes a right-hand turn with no radius, no curve, a square turn at six hundred miles an hour. And it was silent, and then it flew right over our head.
Starting point is 01:04:43 My wife was with me. And then when it got over our head, it made a flash of a green light and a red light. And then a white light as it left. Kind of like imitated an airplane. But it wasn't an airplane. It was only like about 500 feet above us or so. It was silent. And my partner, Rob McGregor,
Starting point is 01:05:08 wrote two books with him. The first two books we wrote, he's a great writer. He said that when it flew over me, it was as if it was saluting me. So I kind of felt like that too. I was wondering when you said earlier, you thought UFOs and these time storms were related, kind of what you meant by that. Far to this experience in the Bermuda Triangle, had you seen UFOs before? I was 10 years old, living in South Florida. We had just moved there.
Starting point is 01:05:53 My uncle and his family were business partners with my dad, and they were developers. And so he was at the, my uncle and his kids, they were all at a drive-in theater. When they're driving back home, they see this spear, a white spear in the sky.
Starting point is 01:06:16 They thought the spear was almost like follow-al. And it was making a bunch of weird turns and stuff. And so then they all came home, and their home was right across the street from ours. So they all come and running over to our house. And they said, well, there's something weird out here. You guys got to see. So we came out and so then here's this sphere.
Starting point is 01:06:40 It was perfectly round, and it was white like plasma. And it was about half a mile away from us. And it was, oh, not much over 100 feet high. And it was hovering. And we came out, and I got to watch it for over a minute. And then after about a minute or two, these strange drippings like they look like
Starting point is 01:07:09 almost like dripping the plasma started coming out from the bottom half of the sphere and dripping down and then dissipating just before they hit the ground there was no other houses near
Starting point is 01:07:23 it. It was out to the west of us or it was just the wood and it drips for the spear for about 30 seconds turned off. And then it just shot straight up and out of sight within like a second. It was gone. It appeared to have an intelligence anyway. I don't know if it was, if there were aliens inside it,
Starting point is 01:07:46 but something was controlling it either aliens or it controlled itself somehow. You know, I've heard other eyewitnesses talk about that. I remember one account the eyewitness said it was like gold, a liquid gold coming off the craft and dripping down. The weird part, though, there was no residue. There was nothing left. And I know we're getting pretty close to the hour, and I promised Lynn, I wouldn't keep you over an hour. But it's been a real pleasure chatting with you, Bruce.
Starting point is 01:08:17 It's been a real honor, actually. I started reading about your case back in 2014. And I think it was either 2020 or 2021. I kind of created that audio reenactment everyone heard at the beginning of the show. But to check out Bruce's book, go to Amazon. It's Bermuda Triangle Survivor. Pilot tells what he experienced in the heart of the phenomenon.
Starting point is 01:08:44 And also subscribe to Bruce's channel. You got a lot of cool stuff on there. I was talking to your beautiful wife earlier, and I know you both work really hard on the channel. And you guys really should have more views. There's a lot of cool animation like we were talking about earlier. Go subscribe to beyond the Burmina Triangle, and I'll include a link below, and check out some of Bruce's videos.
Starting point is 01:09:10 But again, it's been a real honor, Bruce. Thank you so much for coming on. Yeah, well, I really appreciate you and helping me to spread the word, because most of the people probably believe, the majority of the people don't believe there's anything abnormal going on. It's all just natural in the Bermuda Triangle. But I agree, though, it is natural. The electronic fog is a natural phenomenon. And I believe that's the cause of the weirdness that goes on in the Bermuda Triang. That's the main theory.
Starting point is 01:09:46 And there's a lot of authors now that are believing that and then telling everybody that it's the electronic fog that is so mysterious. So thanks for helping to spread the word about it. Anytime, Bruce. You're welcome anytime. Thank you again. And that's it for tonight, everyone. Remember, if you've had an encounter, shoot me an email. My email address is Wes at Sasquatch Chronicles.com. And if you get a chance to check out Sasquatch Chronicles.com, you can become a member and get additional shows. Until next time, everyone.
