Sasquatch Chronicles - SC EP:1293 Upon Arrival, It Was Deceased

Episode Date: September 26, 2026

Tonight, I'll be speaking with Jared, a guest from California whose first encounter with one of these creatures happened more than 30 years ago. Although the experience stayed with him for decades, he... never expected it to become the beginning of something much bigger. After serving in the military, Jared leased a remote cabin in the middle of nowhere. What started as a quiet place to live quickly turned into something very different, as he began having repeated interactions with these creatures. Tonight, he shares what happened during the four years he lived there and the experiences that ultimately convinced him he wasn't alone. After the Paradise Fire destroyed his cabin, Jared became a truck driver. Then, in 2021, everything changed again when he struck and killed what he believes was a Sasquatch. Jared describes what he saw, the damage the impact caused to his truck, and what happened in the aftermath.

Starting point is 00:00:00 It looked like somebody was bent over and had their head in the window of the deer blind and it either heard me or smelt me and he pulled his head out of the tent and stood straight up and that shocked me. They don't make people that big. The way it moved, almost as if it was gliding across the bed. I've never seen anything moves like that in my life. They were screaming at each other in gibberish. It sounded like a language and they were chuntering away back and forwards, back and forwards, back and forward.
Starting point is 00:00:54 I know what a bear looks like and there is no way on this planet that what I saw were bears. Well, bitch is about six foot nine. I don't know. Hi, this is Emily from New York, and you're listening to the one and only Sasquatch Chronicles. Welcome to the show. Tonight we'll be chatting with Jared. And Jared had this encounter well over 30 years ago, and it was the first time he'd ever run into these creatures. After the military, he started to really look into what he had seen that day. He came across this piece of property in California.
Starting point is 00:02:30 where these creatures were at and he had interactions with them. After the Paradise Fires, he lost the cabin and became a semi-truck driver. Five years ago, he struck one of these creatures and killed it. He describes the damage to his semi and what happened afterwards. If you've had an encounter and you'd like to be on the show, shoot me an email. My email address is Wes at Sasquatch Chronicles.com. and if you get a chance, check out Sasquatch Chronicles.com, you can become a member and get additional shows. Let's jump into it tonight.
Starting point is 00:03:11 I want to welcome Jared to the show. Jared, thanks for coming on. Thank you for having me. And I know that you served our country and thank you for your service to our country. No worries, no worries. Yeah, I appreciate it. And I want to walk into the incident with the cabin and the four years that you lived in this cabin and interacted with these creatures. And then kind of the last incident with a semi-truck.
Starting point is 00:03:40 But if you would, would you start from the very beginning? And tell us about the first time seeing one of these creatures. So many years ago before the internet and social media and stuff like that, my son was about six months old. and we had went camping in northern Idaho. And I went down this dead end road. It was about 30 miles long. And there was just one campground at the very end of it. And when I first had my, the first experience, like I said, this was before, you know,
Starting point is 00:04:14 internet and, or not really before internet, but before it became too big. And no social media at that point. My son was real colicky and he just, he'd cry a lot. And when I would pick him up, he would stop crying, and then I'd set him down and he'd start crying, or, you know, he'd start. So we were at the end of this 30-mile road at the campground, and it was early in the season. Nobody was up there except for us. I set up camp, and I went, you know, started cooking, and we had some burgers, and I was cooking up bacon, throwing smells everywhere. And we just kept, you know, we were having a good night.
Starting point is 00:04:53 And I would set my son down and he would start crying. But I didn't want to pick him up because I was cooking over the fire. And then every time I would stop, you know, stop flipping burgers or whatever, I'd pick him up and he'd stop. And that's what, you know, that's what happened through the whole night. Well, then later on that night, you know, we had a minivan back then. I got out and took a pee, right? And it was cold that night.
Starting point is 00:05:22 It was like 2 o'clock in the morning. and I got out and went to the back of the van, and the van was running, and the lights were on. And so I just leaned up against the van and started peeing, and I hear a noise. And it was only about, you know, 15, 20 feet from me. And it wasn't a mean noise. It wasn't aggressive or anything like that.
Starting point is 00:05:44 And I started looking off to the side. You know, it's fairly dark. And then I see a figure standing at the, in the tree line. and I'm trying to pinpoint if I'm just tired or if I'm just what I'm seeing. And then it steps out of the tree line into the light threshold. And I'm not very tall. I'm about five, six. If I was to stand on my shoulders, this thing was as tall or taller than me. and I started to realize what I'm watching,
Starting point is 00:06:27 and it makes a noise. It's not mean, it's not aggressive, it's not a, it's not growling or anything like that. It's kind of like chuffing or, like kind of like a little grunt noise. And I can tell that it was a female. Like you could just see, you could just tell that it was a female. And at that point, it clicked into my head that it's, back then, like I said, there's no social media, so we didn't know what we were looking at
Starting point is 00:06:58 or anything like that. And I just ran. I jumped in the seat, the front seat. I opened the door before the door was closed, my foot was on the break, my ass was in the seat, and I had put it in gear, and I sped off. Well, at that point, my son was in the back with my ex-wife, and They're rolling around because I just sped out. Like I just floored it and I was gone. Well, the door was open so the dome light stayed on and I'm just going as fast as possible. Well, she raises up and, you know, she's startled and she's like, what the hell's going on? Well, she looks at me and she starts laughing because the steering wheel is all wet because when I took off running, I was still pissing.
Starting point is 00:07:49 And I pissed all over the stairwell. So that became, that was the first, that was my first experience that they, that my family still laughs at me about because, you know, you know that fight or flight, I was in the midstream and I just took off running. So at this point, did you know what you were looking at? I didn't. I didn't know. Like I said, this was pre-social media and I, I'd have. had no clue what I was looking at. I just knew that this thing was really big.
Starting point is 00:08:26 And I mean, just ginormous. I mean, it was, like I said, I'm five foot six. And this thing, if I stood on my own shoulders, like it would be over 11 foot tall. And that's how big this thing was. And it was like three wide of me. And I had no clue what this was, because I was raised in the woods. and I'm not, I wasn't afraid of anything.
Starting point is 00:08:55 I know what grizzlies are. I know what black bears are. I know what's in the woods. And this thing was not that. That was, you know, like, but it wasn't aggressive. You know, after looking back, going through the scenario in my head, the only thing that I can think of was because my son was crying and we were thrown, you know, smells throughout the whole valley.
Starting point is 00:09:29 And I'm thinking that this female came up, heard my son, crying, and sat and watched for a while. I mean, my thought process goes like this. The way that I was handling with my son, the way that my son and I, like, interacted each other when he was little, that when his mother would try to pick him up, he would scream louder. And then I would go to pick him up and he'd stop. So I'm thinking the whole process
Starting point is 00:09:59 that they were sitting there watching us. And that's why at that point, there was no aggression because they watched me. So when she came to see or to, you know, to come and check on us, or, you know, she was being curious or whatever. And she saw me, like, there was the noise that she made was not, there was no aggression at all.
Starting point is 00:10:25 Like, you could tell. She was just kind of looking at me and kind of communicating with me a little bit. But it was, it was looking back at it. I mean, it was actually, it was really cool that there was no aggression, you know, because she just, she just kind of chuffed at me. But again, I didn't know what I was looking at, and I just took off running. It was a big animal. That was my first experience that I had, and then that kind of got me hooked.
Starting point is 00:10:58 Then I didn't really go back into the woods for many years, probably about 15 years. I went off to the military, traveled around, you know, lived life, and then once I got out of the military, the social media and, you know, Bigfoot and the internet became a big thing. And I started getting back into it. Now that I know what I saw, you know, everybody posting noises and everybody posting, you know, what they think that Bigfoot looks like and things like that. And I was like, that's what I saw. I know from then that's what I saw.
Starting point is 00:11:37 and I ended up moving to Northern California and I had a friend that was in the military with me and he became a Forest Ranger. I had contacted him and I said, hey, you know, you've been out in the woods more than most people that I know. What are your thoughts on these Sasquatch on Pigfoot? And he told me that they're not allowed to say anything publicly because they're a government entity.
Starting point is 00:12:11 They can't have anything publicly that comes onto the Rangers and puts a bad name or tarnishes the Forest Rangers. He said, however, privately between you and I, because you're my friend, he goes, I can tell you where to go. So that's the place that I went. And they put me in contact with a person that owned pretty much the entire valley.
Starting point is 00:12:38 He had a cabin and I leased the cabin and I had to find, I had to find basically these big feet, right? So, and how I did that was, all right, I'll walk you through the steps in the process, but basically I had to figure out if they lived there year round or if they migrated in. I had to figure out if they were migrating in,
Starting point is 00:13:03 what time of season that they come in. And I did this. It took me two years to figure this part out. So what I found out is 180, 200 years ago when they had the gold rush in 1849, right? They didn't have all the grocery stores in the markets that we have today. So when the immigrants and the migrants, they would come into the gold rush, they brought all their seeds and all their food with them. So they planted their own crops.
Starting point is 00:13:40 And after 180, 200 years, after they left, all these crops became wild and just covered the valleys. But I figured out when the first crop started to ripen and when it stopped, when the last crop came in and then went away. So I had found out that through what I had started to explore, started watching and learning that the first crop came in the second week of July, that high in the mountains, the second week in July, and the last crop came in at the last week in September. So from that time frame, there's an overabundance of food, wild food that
Starting point is 00:14:32 everything that you can eat or that you can imagine it's berries fruits um fruit trees vegetables wild wild onions wild potatoes like it's just
Starting point is 00:14:45 there's such an abundance of food up there and that's what they would come in and eat I mean they're omnivores right so they're opportunistic so they when they migrate in they would migrate to this valley and this valley in the second week of July what had just an abundance of food throughout the entire summer so once I figured
Starting point is 00:15:11 that out then I knew when they were coming in and I started to see signs of them then I started meeting some of the locals you know I tried to ask questions you know Have you had any experiences? Have you heard anything, things like that? And after a while, it took a while because most locals, when you live off in the mountains, they don't want to speak to you. You're not from there. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:15:45 Especially if you're going to come in and ask questions, things like that. They're a real standoffish. But over time, I gained their trust. They allowed me to go on their land, on their property. they started showing me things. They started showing me, you know, their signs, like tree breaks and snaps and all their footprints and stuff like that. And I just made this grid work over a few years to know which area that they were in.
Starting point is 00:16:17 So I moved out there, at least that cabin, and I started having experiences. I built a fairly good rapport with this claim. Like I said, it was two adults and two adolescents. The male, the father, he was about 12, 13 feet tall. The female or the mother was, she was pretty similar, but a little shorter, not as tall, not as muscular, but she was probably about 11, maybe 12 feet. And the adolescence, one was about 7 foot and the other one was about 6 foot. What I had started learning over this whole, you know, a couple of years that I got to meet them
Starting point is 00:17:11 was that 90% of the time when people see these big foot or Sasquatch, they're only seeing the adolescence. They're only seeing children. because the children are so curious and they come down and then they'll, you know, they're the ones that come down and touch cars and they'll come down and touch your tent and come look in your window and, you know, stuff like that.
Starting point is 00:17:34 But the parents are always there. They're always right outside the eye line, right inside the trees, and they're always hiding, but they're watching their children. And if you do anything to the children, that's when the trouble starts. So when I first found them, so I started like, I started this gifting tree. So I heard back then that there was some people that, you know, they would take little trinkets or marbles or, you know, things like that. And they would set them up in such ways. And then they'd come back the next day and they would be, the positions would be changed.
Starting point is 00:18:15 Like if you set, you set a pack of marbles up and a star, it's going to come. back and it's going to be in a straight line or if you set it up in a circle, you're going to come back and it's going to be put into a square or, you know, things like that. So that's how it started. I started a gifting tree and I tried to do the marbles and there was a few, you know, it wasn't substantial for me. Like it wasn't, you know, I didn't know if there was squirrels getting on it or not. But then, so then I started leaving like toys, like little plastic G.I. Joe's.
Starting point is 00:18:49 little plastic army man and i'd come back and i'd they you know i'd come back the next day or the day after and um they would bring me pretty shiny rocks so then i tried to see if it was like you know crows because sometimes crows will do that in the mountains um so i was trying to see what what was happening so i just kept changing so then i started leaving like unwrapped candies uh i tried you know You know, like those little caramel, those little caramel hard candies. So I'd unwrap them and I'd leave one out there. And then I would get like the next day I would go out and I'd get like a bird egg. The bird egg would appear where the candy was.
Starting point is 00:19:35 And then they'd do that, you know, a couple more times and they would bring me little berries. And they put berries down. So they're smart enough to differentiate from like the sweetness. So then I started getting some men. Mence meat and I'd unpackage it. I would season it with some pepper and salt, you know, stuff like that. And then I'd take it out and start off with like one pound, right? One pound package.
Starting point is 00:20:02 And then I'd come back and then they would leave me like a bird or a squirrel. And then I left a bigger package of minced meat that was seasoned. I put, you know, garlic and onion and all this stuff and seasoned it really nice. I didn't cook it. I just left it raw. and then I'd go back and I would have a legadier. Like they knew they differentiated deflavering and the little gifts that I would leave them
Starting point is 00:20:30 and they would bring me their equivalent if that makes any sense. So I started to build a rapport and I knew that they were hanging around. They started coming up to the cabin. And I used the word cabin loosely because it wasn't really a cabin. at all. It was just a, it was real thin, old fiber board that somebody put up on four walls
Starting point is 00:20:55 and then put sheet metal on top. So there was no insulation. There was the, the sheet walls, or like the, you know, the gypsum board was so old and weathered that you could stick your finger through it. So I used the word cabin loosely. So I set up a tent inside that cabin, because it wasn't waterproof or anything like that. And they had one little window, and they would come up to the cabin and put their hands on top of the roof and bend down and lean in.
Starting point is 00:21:27 And they would make noises. Like they would talk. I don't know how to explain the way that they would talk. It's a language for sure, but you didn't know what it was. Like you could tell that there was a, You could tell that there was a dialect. You could tell that they were communicating back and forth
Starting point is 00:21:48 and that they were literally speaking, but you didn't know what they were saying. So for an example, I don't speak Russian, or I don't speak like Spanish or anything like that. But you know what Spanish is. Even though you don't know how to speak Spanish, if you heard Spanish, you know what Spanish was. you know, same thing.
Starting point is 00:22:17 Like, I know, I know what Russian is, but I don't know how to speak it. And that was the same thing with them. Like, I've never heard that type of language. I didn't know what it was. But you could tell that they were speaking. And we were, they would come around the cabin and they would talk to each other.
Starting point is 00:22:38 And we just sat in there, my ex-wife and I, we'd sit in there and just listen. And they were never, aggressive towards us at all. Like they were never aggressive. And then the time that really, really freaked us out was after, I think it was like the third year, the third year that we were up there, they came to the cabin and they said my name, really raspy, but they still said my name.
Starting point is 00:23:08 And I think the reason for that is because, so during the days, because I would take the whole summer off and go up there and live up there in the cabin. So during the days, I would stay with an earshot of my ex-wife and I would go walk the perimeter and she would always call my name. And I think that that's where they were always in the woods right next to us. They were always watching us. And I think that that's where they learned my name. And at that point, my ex-wife was like,
Starting point is 00:23:44 I'm not comfortable with this anymore. Because they're very, they were, like I said, they were never aggressive towards us at all whatsoever. But it was, we met the adolescence. You know,
Starting point is 00:24:02 we met them. Like, we knew them. Like, they were the curious ones. The parents, the parents were always in the tree line. They were watching,
Starting point is 00:24:11 but they wouldn't come down. they I mean they were they would never come in but the parents would allow their their children to come down and be curious this language that you were hearing did it sound anything like the Sierra sounds absolutely 100%. 100%. Now there was stuff that was mixed in with it so those sounds those sounds like so those Sierra sounds they sounded like they're yelling at each other from a distance
Starting point is 00:24:46 right like they were you know several hundred yards away from each other so they were saying you know whatever they were communicating to each other whatever they were saying you could clearly hear that now with my case what was going on was
Starting point is 00:25:01 they were they were talking in a much lower not aggressive tone. I think that it was the children that was communicating with the parents or vice versa. So there was no
Starting point is 00:25:16 aggression in it. I think that the Sierra sounds, I think that was more aggression. Like they were communicating, but they were not, they were not on the happy side.
Starting point is 00:25:34 Yeah, I understand what you're trying to say. you'd mention that they come down and they would kind of look in the windows. Would you kind of describe what you were seeing? They're hairy. The faces doesn't have a whole lot of hair on them. It's like worn, it's worn leather.
Starting point is 00:25:52 Like it's real like leathery, I guess. Thicker leathery, more like a, like a gorilla, I guess. But it's not like what people think where they have these big fangs and they're real mean looking, you know, there's nothing like that. Like it's, they have a,
Starting point is 00:26:13 like they look like a gorilla. It's a mixture between, you know, a gorilla and a human. It's, you can tell when you look into, when you look into, some animals,
Starting point is 00:26:26 their eyes are just dark. And it doesn't look like there's anything home. Like inside their, like you can look into, into an animal's eyes. And some animals, you can tell that they are just, they're living, that there is things happening inside their brain.
Starting point is 00:26:45 And some animals, you look into their eyes and they just look like, like they're an animal, right? Like they don't have a thought process or they're not trying to think about it. You know, it's just a weird thing. And with these Sasquatch, they were, they're intelligent. They're absolutely intelligent. it's like looking into a person's eyes. The adolescent, they look, I don't know, not as weathered, if that makes any sense, just like people.
Starting point is 00:27:15 You know, how you can tell if somebody, you know, if you got a 20-year-old against, you know, standing up next to a 50-year-old, you know what I mean? Like, you can tell that the skin and the, they're not as weathered. They're smoother. They're softer. I mean, I'm not real sure how old the adolescents were, but, like, one was seven foot and the other one was you know six foot they were kind of chunkier I guess but not not not overweight they were they were just chunkier they were rounder they were like
Starting point is 00:27:47 softer if that makes any sense like they were you could tell that they were the children we had experiences they came in at noon right like in high noon full daylight they would come and see us I mean they so the males the males have have a more pronounced like facial structure. So I mean, their eyebrows are thicker. Not really the eyebrows, but the bone, you know, the eyebrow bone. They're thicker. They look, they look like a man.
Starting point is 00:28:18 Their chins are more pronounced. They're, you know, the, from just the ones that I've seen, they, their noses were wider, you know, things like that. They had more of a, more of a mass structure to their face, I guess. The females were a little softer. The eyebrows were not as pronounced, or the bones, I mean, they were not as pronounced. They didn't stand out as much.
Starting point is 00:28:48 The chins and the, you know, the facial structure was a little more like elongated. There was a little softer, rounder, you know, like they were. And that goes for the same thing with the children. Like the children were softer. You could tell that they weren't. I don't know how to explain it, but like, if you just go out some days and people watch, you can tell the difference between a male and a female and children and, you know, teens and older teens and you can tell.
Starting point is 00:29:20 And that's the way it is with them, too. They had, but not all of them, they didn't look out of this clan that I had, you know, got to know over the time. they weren't they didn't all look the same they weren't all identical like they each had their own their own looks so the father was big um i didn't really get to see him very much uh he was very standoffish uh i got to see i got to see the mother twice over the four years um but i my most of my interactions were with the children tell me about some of the interactions you had with the large female or the mother, as you call it? With the mother, the times that I saw her was when I had my dogs out.
Starting point is 00:30:11 They don't like dogs. They do not like dogs at all whatsoever. And when I was, so I got big dogs. I knew that I was going to be in the mountains and I wanted to, you know, have protection. So I got two giant-sized dogs. My dogs were 180. My female was 180 pounds, and my male was like 200 pounds. So I had giant dogs.
Starting point is 00:30:35 Now, these dogs were never afraid of anything. I got them for that purpose. They would bark and growl, and, you know, they were protection dogs, basically. And the first time that I encountered the mother was one night, we knew that they were in the area and the dogs were scratching to go out, not literally, but they were, you know, they went up to the door and they wanted to go out. They had went out and I'm only guessing I didn't see it, but this is what happened. So we went out, we let the dogs out, and the dogs instantly just took off running like something was there. And you could hear it sounded like
Starting point is 00:31:22 a freaking elephant running through the trees. So the dogs saw, saw one and it took off through the trees and you heard yelling, like they're kind of yelling. And then after that you heard like a big roar, like an extremely loud roar. Then the dogs came back and they acted all weird. Well, that night, the mother came up to the cabin and we had put lights out, right? So it's not dark. You can see. we had took these floodlights and pointed them outwards into the trees so then we could make sure that they were coming in that we would be able to see them.
Starting point is 00:32:05 So when the mother came up to the cabin, came up to the window that night after, you know, the dogs took off. And I'm only guessing that they took off after the adolescent. And then the mother yelled and then my dogs came back. But later on that night, she came to the cabin and she went. into, or she bent down into the window. And the dogs went up to the window and started to do a low growl. Well, at that point, she growled in the window. And when she growled, it was something that, it's unexplainable.
Starting point is 00:32:48 Because the noise or the vibration or the low frequency, I guess, it went into you. Like you could feel it. Like it struck fear into you. Like it was a very, I don't know how to explain it. Like it was a very internal fear. And my dogs, like I said,
Starting point is 00:33:14 my dogs weren't afraid of anything. And they turned around, they stopped growling and they turned around and they came directly to me and sat down on the floor and started like shaking and convulsing, like shivering. And they faced away from the window.
Starting point is 00:33:36 And she continued to growl and I didn't know what to do because I've never heard and I can't explain that noise. It struck fear into you like internally. The only way that I can describe it is the military uses these frequencies, right, it.
Starting point is 00:33:55 Well, I think civilian world, they started to use them, but it's on a different frequency level. But you know how ambulance is when they hit their sirens, you can hear the sirens, but some people can't hear the frequency of the high pitch, right? So then they started to integrate the low frequency buzz. So then they would go instead of the, you know, the sirens, they go, waw, that kind of thing. So on the lower level of the frequency, you can feel it.
Starting point is 00:34:27 And that's what these things did. But it was on a different level that struck fear into you. So that was the first time that I met the mother. And this is the first time that I've ever seen my dogs terrified. Like they've seen mountain lions
Starting point is 00:34:42 and they've seen bears and they've seen wolves and there was nothing that ever terrified them. This mom Bigfoot struck some fear into them. And that was the first time that I experienced that. And I didn't know what to do.
Starting point is 00:34:59 I had no idea what to do. And my ex-wife was sitting next to me and she goes, you want me to grab the gun? And I said, absolutely not. You know, not, don't do it. We're just going to sit here. We're going to wait it out. And we're going to see what's going on. So the second time that we saw her, she was from a distance.
Starting point is 00:35:21 Like she was probably about, I don't know, 100 yards from us. So the babies, the adolescents, they came down, and they were hooping and hollering and hollering and they were whistling and sounding like birds and you could see their mouths. Like you knew that they were, they're the ones they were making the noises. So she just came down and she sat. She just watched. So you could see her, but it wasn't, I mean, not close,
Starting point is 00:35:50 but you could tell she. She was there and you could tell that she was a female. She's smaller than the male. She's smaller than the dad. But her shape was different, right? So she's got a more feminine shape. Her waist is a little thicker. She had, you know, round her hips, I guess.
Starting point is 00:36:12 She obviously she had breasts. You can't see the breasts. You can see them, but it's not like she, they're covered by hair. it's not like a human female. You can't really see skin. I mean, you can see skin on the hands or the palms. You know what I mean? Like on the bottoms of the fingertips and like towards the ends of the fingertips.
Starting point is 00:36:38 But like you could literally see that what's a male and what's a female, even though that they still have hair. You can tell just by the body shape. after all of my experiences, I would say that the females are more aggressive. They weren't mean. They didn't come down to mess with us, but they were definitely more on guard
Starting point is 00:37:02 and protective over their children. They were off. They go do their own things. They didn't hang around all the time. They would, you know, obviously, they would go off and do their own things, but they would pop back in every once in a while. The male adolescent, so the son, he saved us.
Starting point is 00:37:25 He protected us and he saved us. So we went for a walk along the Forest Service Road, the fire trails, the fire roads in California. And we were about four miles from the cabin. And it was my wife and I and the dogs. And we were walking down the trails and a mountain lion jumped out. And I called the dogs back and they sat. And the mountain lion was charging us, but she was like bluff charging us. So I called the dogs back and they sat down.
Starting point is 00:38:03 And I wanted to see how close she was getting or she wanted that she was going to get. Because the only reason that mountain lions will charge you or bluff charge you is if they have kittens, right? Otherwise, you'll never know that they're up there. Like you would never see them. like they're not going to come out and try to chase you or a bluff charge you or anything like that. There's got to be kittens or cubs in the area for them to act like that. So I yelled and she wasn't budging. She kept just doing this bluff charge.
Starting point is 00:38:37 We started walking backwards. You know, I picked up rocks and I was throwing it and trying to scare and, you know, things like that. and she just kept bluff charging. Well, when you're in the woods, I mean, I carry a sidearm for protection, but I'm not up there to shoot anything, right? Like I don't want to kill anything. I'm not a hunter. So I didn't pull my sidearm, but I was yelling and I was backing up.
Starting point is 00:39:03 I was going to give her her space because we got two big dogs. We weren't, we're not in full danger. You know what I mean? Even though that it's a mountain line, we weren't in full danger. But she just kept bluff charging us trying to push us out. which was fine. We were backing up slowly. We were leaving.
Starting point is 00:39:19 And then all of a sudden, they're sound like an elephant. Come running through the forest. Come right up through the forest, right onto the road, in between myself and where the mountain lion was. And this big foot bent over, stretched his arms out,
Starting point is 00:39:42 and yelled at the top of his lungs at that, mountain lion and the mountain lion took off running and it turned around and looked at us and chuffed and kind of made like a i don't know like a chuffing like a head movement kind of like it nodded at us you know um and then it walked back into the forest so these things were always around like these these bigfoot were always around they would follow us they would you know and that that day made me feel made me feel good because that just meant that I had built a good enough rapport with him.
Starting point is 00:40:22 Like we didn't become best friends where we could shake hands and stuff like that, but like they were with us, they saw us in a predicament and they helped us. Like it was a really good feeling to know that you made that type of rapport
Starting point is 00:40:37 and that these things were that intelligent. We've seen them mimic birds. We've watched them, they sit down by a tree, and they would kind of hold their hand up a little bit, like their palm out and the fingers spread out. And they would whistle like a bird. And then a bird would come and land on their hand. We've seen that.
Starting point is 00:41:05 We've had rocks thrown at us. At first, you know, it could have been the mother. I'm not real sure that maybe we startled her. I'm not because she came in about, you know, in the middle of the day, like noon, let's just say. The sun was in the top of the sky. And she came in on all four. Like, I think that she was sneaking in. I think she was, she wasn't doing anything malicious, but I think that I don't know why she was coming in at, honestly.
Starting point is 00:41:38 We were outside and we were sitting in our little zero gravity. chairs and lean back and looking up at the top of the trees and just relaxing. And I see movement out of the side of my eye. And she was on all four. And she had, but their arms are so long that her elbows were bent out. They weren't straight. Like her front legs weren't straight. Like they were or her front arms. They were bent out. Like she was like on all four doing like a bear crawl. You know what I mean? Like, you ever seen, like, a person in the military do a bear crawl? Like, you bend your, I don't know, it's kind of weird,
Starting point is 00:42:14 but, so she was kind of walking in, and she got within, I would say, 10 feet from the dogs. The dogs didn't even know she was there. Like, they were sleeping. They didn't even know that she was there. And she came in, and I just happened to see,
Starting point is 00:42:30 and I looked, and I yelled at my wife, and I said, they're here. And we both jumped up because we trained for this. right, like just for emergency purposes. Like we trained, like we went through different scenarios and what to do. So we had to trust each other 100%. Like, so if she would say something, then I would instantly react, right?
Starting point is 00:42:53 And the same thing with her. Like, because these things, they would come in at any time or any moment. So if you need to say, like, they're over there. You don't look, you don't look to see and say, huh? You know what I mean? Like, you were instantly like, okay, got to do this, got to do this, got to do this. When I yelled and my wife ran to the truck, I jumped up out of the seat and she stood up. And when she stood up, like she'd been caught.
Starting point is 00:43:25 Like, you know, she had startled her. And I don't know what she was doing, but it startled her. So she, like, she turned around and she took off running. Now, the underbrush was clear. so you could see probably about 100 yards in. But how she ran was the fastest thing that I've ever seen. So she, like, she would take a bunch, like a few steps and go right by a tree. And she would use the tree and pull herself and then jump and take several more steps and then
Starting point is 00:43:57 grab another tree and pull with the other arm and just keep pulling and running at the same time. And she covered that hundred yards in... just a few seconds. It was not. She was fast. She was gone. And shortly after that, a couple minutes after that, probably about, I don't know, 10 minutes after that, we got a rock thrown into the center of our camp.
Starting point is 00:44:22 The rock was wet, and it came over top of the trees. We stepped it off, and it was a hard, that river was just on the other side of that clearing, which was about 100 yards away. And this was, we kept the rock. The rock was 22 pounds. And when it landed, it was still wet. Which means that this big foot grabbed a rock that was 22 pounds and threw it above the tree line into our camp 100 yards.
Starting point is 00:44:59 Now, we tried to do some research, and we were, you know, we looked up shot put, right, in the Olympics. And the world record shot put throw was 72 yards and that's a 13 pound ball. And this thing threw 22 pounds 100 yards. I mean, it's just that's massive. I mean, that's like, that's strong. Yeah, that could have killed someone. And I know it's hard to like cram four years of experiences in an hour long show. But during this time that you were at the.
Starting point is 00:45:36 the cabin, did you ever try and get a picture of them or video of them? We did. So speaking on the semi, when I hit it with a semi, I had pictures. I had up-close pictures, but they were taken from it. Yeah, we'll get to that in a moment. I mean, at the actual cabin, did you try and get pictures of them or anything like that? No, because the thing about that is like, okay, they come in sporadically and how everything happens, everything happens so intensely and so fast that you don't have time to pull a camera out or to pull your phone out or to like,
Starting point is 00:46:27 you know what I mean? Like you don't have, you could get, you could get one of those cameras that just stay on. and loop and loop and loop and wait for something to happen, but then you're running on battery time and then you're replacing it. And you might not get, you might not get them coming in for hours or for, you know, a day or like they might come in in nighttime or, or there's, it's so, it's so sporadic when they come in. And when they do come in, you, everything happens so fast that you're in the moment watching it. You don't
Starting point is 00:47:03 have time or even the thought process, I should say, that to take a picture or to think about, oh, get my phone. You know what I mean? Or that kind of stuff. Like, it was just the...
Starting point is 00:47:18 So, no, we didn't get videos. We didn't get, we didn't get any pictures. We tried setting up trail cams, but our trail cams kept getting messed with. And I don't know why. I don't know how. I don't know if they can see the, the, see the IR light.
Starting point is 00:47:34 I'm not sure if they're like, you know, animals that can see that type of frequency or that, that light spectrum. I'm not real sure. But they, they would mess with their cameras. We'd put them 20 feet up and they'd still mess with them. Like, so I don't know. I don't know if they could see the IR.
Starting point is 00:47:53 I don't know if they knew that the cameras were there or they can smell them because some people say that bears can smell the batteries. So bears sometimes mess with the, mess with the trail cams and things like that. So I don't know if that's what they can do. I have no idea. I don't know if they can see the IR or if they can smell the batteries or if they can smell the electronics. I have no idea. Because I don't know if you've ever experienced this,
Starting point is 00:48:25 but you can actually smell electronics. You can smell those cameras. You can smell them with your own nose. So the next time, like, you know, for an example, if you ever go to like an outdoor store or camping world or anything like that, go and get a, like a trail cam and open it up and you can smell the electronics inside
Starting point is 00:48:46 with your own nose. So I would just imagine that they can smell it. Yeah, I agree with you. I think that they can smell the electronics. and the plastic and, you know, I know we're just kind of touching on some of the things that have happened over four years. And I want to get to the semi-incident, but you're no longer at the cabin. And for the audience, why? Why are you no longer there? We got, we got burnout. There was a really big fire several years back, and it happened to be
Starting point is 00:49:20 that paradise fire. We got burned out of that valley. And we would go back, we went back several years after the fire and they never came back. Because they would migrate in. They would migrate every year. And they just never came back for two years after. So we just figured that something had happened to them. Either they migrated on or, you know, they perished in the fire. I'm not sure.
Starting point is 00:49:49 But they never came back to the valley. So we just moved on. We went on with their life. And then I contacted another friend, you know, and a friend of mine that was in the ranger system and a ranger station. And he told me about another place. So then we came up here. I hear you.
Starting point is 00:50:13 I might have to have you back to hear more about what has happened since the cabin. I ask everyone on the show what do you think Sasquatch is. what do you think that they are? You know, I can't answer that. I don't know. I know that they are very intelligent. They're very intelligent. They have thought process.
Starting point is 00:50:38 They're very, you can, from my experiences, they were never mean or aggressive. So I don't know, I don't know what to call them. Like they're not, they're not human, but they're not completely white. wild, you know, they're not like a bear. They have, they're very caring with their children. They take care of their children like a human would take care of your children.
Starting point is 00:51:03 They, they're obviously they're, they're mammals and they live in the wild and they migrate. They can communicate. I never saw like special powers or, you know, things like that. Like some people think that maybe they're, you know, a little bit. interdimensional or there or some people that have ideas that they may be you know like an alien species or something I don't know but what I can tell you is that they are living and breathing and they are humanoid not exactly humans but they have human traits yeah I would agree with you even a lot of their behavior is very human-like not
Starting point is 00:51:51 not exactly human, but it's hard to really describe them or put them in a box. Tell me about the semi-incident. How many years later was this and what happened? Yeah, so 2021 is when I hit it. I was going through Idaho in January. I was driving and it was snowing out. and it was real early morning and the sun was
Starting point is 00:52:21 you couldn't see the sun but you could tell it was getting light out because of the snowstorm right and then so everything was kind of real lit up and I come around kind of a bend and I saw this big foot
Starting point is 00:52:38 run into the road and there's nothing I could do there's absolutely nothing that I could do and I hit it directly in the center of my semi, like right in the hood, and it bounced off and it did some damage. Now, being a driver, you have a certain protocol that you have to follow when you get into an accident. Number one, first of all, you have to call State Patrol. Then you have to call your insurance. then you call your dispatch and then you wait
Starting point is 00:53:16 and while you're waiting you take pictures for insurance so I made my call to dispatch I told them what happened I told them what is there what I hit they were kind of chuckling at me and told me oh you know are you sure it's not a bear and I said I said well I told him I said I'm looking at it right now on top of that it's January there's snow on the ground I'm looking at its hands and its feet and its face
Starting point is 00:53:50 and I can tell you that it's not a bear I said I said this thing is about 12 feet and it like the body was 12 feet but the hands were spread out so it was a bit it was quite a bit longer I would imagine that it was probably with a hand spread out and the arms extended up I'm I'd imagine there was about 15 feet. It was just giant. And it had really big hands. The hands were, oh boy, I don't know, probably 12 to 14 inches long, right? I mean, they were just giant hands.
Starting point is 00:54:26 The face was kind of, this one was a lighter color than the other ones. So this one was more like a cinnamon, I guess, like a, it had like grisly looking, fur or not grizzly but the coloration of a grizzly right you know what I'm talking about um there's kind of some reddish blondeish they're about it's the hair was probably
Starting point is 00:54:50 they're shaggy they're like four inches it's about four inches long it doesn't look like hair or like bare fur where it's kind of together this is more shaggy um and the the face is um
Starting point is 00:55:05 the skin was the skin's different like the skin, the coloration on the skin was not as dark. It wasn't like a blacker skin. It was a, I don't know, more of a tannish brown. But it was bloody, right? So it was like a, like I really did some damage to this thing. Like I hit it directly. Like it killed it.
Starting point is 00:55:33 So there was a, there was some, you know, there was blood everywhere and stuff like that. Was there any damage to the semi? Well, not too much damage because I had a bull bar, like the big push guards, because normally when I was driving, I was driving through all elk country, right? So we put these big bull bars on, so then if you hit an elk, it's not going to do too much damage. So, I mean, we bent the, like the bull bar was bent, but not enough to crush it. everything, right? We had a crack in the radiator plastic, you know, things like that. But after all of that, I had taken pictures of the Bigfoot. I had taken pictures of the damage. I took pictures of all
Starting point is 00:56:23 that kind of stuff. And when the state patrol showed up, they showed up in force. Like, normally if you have an accident and you can call it in, they have to come out, you know, and they've write a report and things like that. But there was half a dozen, maybe more six or seven squad cars that showed up. And they all showed up all at once. They showed up with a paddy wagon, like a big box van. And on the back of that box van, they had like a crane,
Starting point is 00:56:55 you know, like a not a big crane, but like a smaller crane. They came in ready. Like they came in like they've done this before and they practiced this a hundred times. They all came in, went directly. They had four-wheel drive. drives. They went into the ditch, surrounded it. They had one come up to me and block me and say, hey, you know, they weren't going to fill out those reports and, you know, these things.
Starting point is 00:57:19 And they asked for my phone to see the pictures and they deleted all the pictures, things like that. However, I was on the phone this whole time with my sister. So she heard what was happening. She heard everything. I was actually on my way. to see her to have dinner with her that day. So she knew everything that was happening. Like I was on the phone with her when I hit this. I was on the phone with her like when the cough showed up. All this was happening, right?
Starting point is 00:57:51 And so after State Patrol dismissed me, I had traveled on ahead and went to my sister's house and we had dinner that night. And during dinner, we were sitting around the table and she was asking me. And she goes, so what happened? What happened to that? And I was like, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:58:10 Let's find out. So I called State Patrol. And they, I put them on speakerphone. And I said, hey, you know, I'm so-and-so, this is what happened. And, you know, they brought up the report. And the dispatch, like she said, I'm only allowed to tell you that upon arrival
Starting point is 00:58:39 it was dead so then I said no I understand but like because I was there I know like it was me like I'm the one that called in and she goes I understand that sir and I said can you give me more information
Starting point is 00:58:55 and she goes I am only allowed to tell you upon arrival it was dead or she said deceased, but, you know. So then I was like, I was like, are okay? And I said, well, what's in the report? Because I know what it was. And she goes, sir, I'm only allowed to tell you that upon arrival it was deceased.
Starting point is 00:59:18 Now my family's sitting there, we're on speakerphone. And my sister's getting like, wait a minute, you know, she's like, she's like, no, this is a full report. Like, what's going on? Like, can you tell us what it is? And the lady on the dispatcher goes, I am only allowed to tell you upon arrival it was deceased. And that was it. She goes, I'm going to have to let you go now.
Starting point is 00:59:47 And that was it. So after we hung up, my family goes, how come they can't say it? You know what I mean? Like everybody's like, how can you can't say what it is? like it's um i don't know so that report is out there it's it's in the idaho state patrol wherever they keep their documentation you know it's telling you before we came on the air that
Starting point is 01:00:14 i've had uh semi drivers actually hit these things and kind of recount very similar stories do you think the state troopers that showed up were actually state troopers um yeah i do I, you know, they didn't look any different. There was, there wasn't, like, they didn't have, like, any special stuff. You know, like, they looked apart, if that makes sense. The only thing that, you know, the only thing that was any different is they showed up in force and they brought a paddy wagon, like, with a crane. So they knew, like, you know what I mean? Like, they knew about this.
Starting point is 01:00:58 Like, they knew, like, all right, we got to go get this. And when they surround, like, they went into the ditch, right? Like, they surrounded it with their four-wheel drives. Like, they had practiced this. They didn't want anybody or pass or bys or anything like that to see what was going on. They just practiced this and they had it down to a tee. Like, they came in, scooped it up and gone. Now, when I came back, because I had the next day,
Starting point is 01:01:27 I left my sisters and I was driving by the same route. And the whole thing was completely cleaned up. It was gone completely. There was no blood. There was no nothing. Because I remember the mile marker number. I remember where it was. I remember all of that stuff.
Starting point is 01:01:44 And everything was completely cleaned up. Like just clean. Because there was snow, right? So you could see like it wasn't like a hidden spot. It was like it was right there. Like I knew exactly where it was, and I still know where it's at. And they, at that point, they completely clean the area. So, I mean, it could have been a different government entity.
Starting point is 01:02:06 I don't know. But they definitely looked a part of the state patrol. Yeah, the reason why I ask is that doesn't sound like that's in the job description of state troopers. But I've heard similar accounts where people will say cops showed up and shut down the whole area. took people's phones and then shortly after that the place is scrubbed which makes me think this probably
Starting point is 01:02:34 isn't a normal animal and the way they shut up in force I appreciate you sharing that account you know I'd like to talk to you more about the cabin and the four years that you were there like I said earlier I mean it's hard to like cram everything into
Starting point is 01:02:50 an hour I would love to have you back for you part two but I really appreciate you taking the time to come on and share it, Jared. I enjoyed chatting with you. Absolutely. I'm glad you have me. Thanks so much.
