Sasquatch Chronicles - SC EP:823 The Hypnotic Eyes

I will be speaking to Will and he had an encounter while hunting in Alabama. Many years later Will was hiking with his family in TN. Will said "When me and this creature locked eyes I felt like I could not move. We will also be speaking to Emily and George. Emily writes "I believe I had an encounter. I was camping in a van in the Mark Twain national Forrest last month while hunting with my boyfriend and friend.

It looked like somebody was bent over and had their head in the window of the deer blind. It either heard me or smelt me, and he pulled his head out of the tent and stood straight up. That shocked me. They don't make people that big. The way it moved, almost as if it was gliding across the beach. I've never seen anything moved like that in my life. What's what? They were screaming at each other in gibberish.

It sounded like a language and they were chumtering away back and forwards, back and forwards, back and forwards. I know what a bear looks like and there is no way on this planet but what I saw were bears. What's going on, what are you reporting? Get somebody out here. What's going on now, sir? That son of a bitch is about six foot nine, I don't know. I don't know. Do you see him now, sir?

Got a great show planned for you. We're going to be chatting with Will, and Will comes to us from Alabama. He's going to be sharing a couple encounters that he had.

His main one was when he was hunting, but there was an incident that happened to him in Tennessee's with his family. His mom was there. All of his cousins were there. They were out hiking. And Will describes being, you know, having his eyes locked with this creature and almost feeling paralyzed, like you couldn't leave. And it's strange. I played a portion of Will's encounter for the members on Friday night. I had another gentleman, Justin, who had an encounter. He felt like he was paralyzed, like he couldn't move. It's very strange. It's very, very strange. We're also going to be chatting with Emily and George, and they come to us from Missouri, and they were actually out camping, getting ready for deer season when they had an uninvited visitor show up at their camp. And I know that we're going to go into three encounters tonight. The first one actually happened to you in Alabama in 2008. If you would, would you just kind of start from the very beginning. What were you doing and what happened? Yeah, so it was opening day of hunting season, 2008. Obviously, being in Alabama, hunting season is a huge deal.

Everyone hunts. It's almost a holiday. So I had checked out of school. I was like, oh, I'm going to go down and hunt. So I told my mom, I'm like, hey, because we have a bunch of land down there and a lot of family land. And I'm like, well, I'm going to go hunting. She's like, no big deal. Down there, everyone knows each other.

We're all family. It's not a huge deal. so I'm like I'll be back later and I went hunting so I went down to a stand and I was super pumped I'm like yeah like I'm going to get me a deer um just really excited for the hunt season and and we had seen a couple of big bucks on our cameras and stuff and it was just um I just had a feeling that something was going to you know it's going to happen that year and I was so excited um and so I was in the stand I was waiting I was looking around and I mean I wasn't I wasn't seen any thing, which was kind of odd because, I mean, it was, it was prom time of the day, and it was,

it was a nice day, and it just felt like, you know, there should be something going on. And so I'm like, well, you know what? I'm going to go change stands because the other stand wasn't very far from where I was at. It was actually on top of the ridge, ridge line, and looking in the other side. So I was like, well, I'll just go change ridge, like, sorry, change stands and be no big deal. So I got down, got my gun and everything, started walking. And as I began walking, I heard what sounded like a bunch of deer. And so I turned, and there's like four doves that just come, just take off.

I mean, like running like bats out of hell, like crazy. So, I mean, I'm thinking it's a big buck like this chasing or something. So I get down and I squat behind this tree and get my gun up. And I'm just like ready to, you know, take out whatever deer walks out from him. from behind the trees. And so as I'm sitting there, I keep hearing something. And I mean, it sounds way bigger than a deer. So I'm thinking like, this is like,

I mean, I wasn't thinking it was a, you know, anything other than a deer at that point. I'm thinking this is a really, really big deer, and I'm going to kill it. And my hunt season is going to be made. And so as I'm crashing down and the sound of these footsteps are getting closer. And I mean, I'm shaking because I feel like, you know, this thing's about to come out and, you know, it's going to be huge and, you know, it's going to be great. And so what comes out is in a deer, though.

Actually, it was like eight foot tall standing on two legs and it was walking in the same direction the doze were. But it was like, and I knew, at first glance, I knew it could have been a human. just because of the strides it was taken. I mean, it was pretty big strides. But as I'm looking at this thing, I noticed that it's like pale, like white, almost like a pinkish color, almost. And I mean, I was just in shock. I mean, this thing, like I said, had to be eight foot tall,

pushing 700 pounds. So I'm just watching and it just continues walking down towards where the doze went and I'm just squatting there with my gun and just looking at it. And it makes it to like the tree line. I decide, you know, I'm going to take a step back, try and, you know, ease my way out. And as I take a step back, of course, why wouldn't I step on a stick? I'm, I mean, at that point, I'm thinking, like, this thing's going to turn around and kill me. Like, no one's going to know where I'm at.

you know something crazy and this i i'm watching it and it slowly turns its head just a little bit and then it continues to walk in inwards to where the does went so it walks on the tree line i mean i just sat there for probably 35 40 minutes after after it had gone to make sure that it was gone and then i just slowly backed up i never turned my back i just backed out of there so i went and I didn't say a word about it for a year and a half. I finally told my uncle who works our land down there a year and a half later what I'd seen. I'd kind of described it to him and he's like, you saw that white thing, you didn't you? And I was like, well, yeah.

Did someone else see it too? Like, what's someone else down there? And he was like, no, he's like, I've seen it. And I was like, you didn't tell me about it. And he was like, yeah, he's like, we. He's like, we just leave it alone. He's like, it was here first. And so we leave it alone and doesn't mess with us.

And I'm like, well, you could have just like inform me before I went down there that this thing was in the woods. That's kind of interesting. I know in Alabama, they have a creature, kind of a famous creature. They call it the Alabama white thing. But the one that you saw then was, I guess as you described it, was pretty much white, almost kind of a pinkish that it was so white. Yeah, yeah, it was a white. It was white. And unlike anything I've ever seen before. How far away from you was the creature, Will?

I mean, I was probably like 75 yards away when it stepped out. Oh, I got you. So it's not like, I mean, 75 yards, we're talking, what, just over 200 feet away. So it's not like it's like right on top of you. No, I mean, it wasn't like right on top of me. But like I said, I got, you know, I had a. perfect view of it because of like I was on I was going up the ridge like up the up the up the hill and looking down so I had like the perfect view of it and everything my gosh yeah it's still relatively close I mean it's 200 yards or 75 yards away 200 feet still relatively close and I know this is

2008 prior to talking to your uncle when you saw this creature did you know what it was I mean, I've always believed in Bigfoot and stuff like that. At that time, I didn't really know what it was. Just because at that time, I had never heard of like a white Bigfoot before. It was foreign to me. I never heard such thing as a White Bigfoot. And I think at that time, I really didn't know exactly what I'd seen. I just knew I had seen it.

And I know you said your uncle kind of works that property. When you talked with them, he had obviously, seen it, but it didn't sound like there was any sort of aggression that ever took place with this creature. I would assume he would have warned you before going down there. No, as far as I know, and to this day, all of the reports that I had, I know about, there's never been any type of aggression. I think it was more of it was looking for food. And, I mean, obviously, it was going after the deer. So, and I just knew at that point that you know, the hunting was probably over for the day.

But yeah, no, it was, I've never heard any type of aggression out of it. Yeah, can I ask you? I know you said you were done hunting for the day, but here's a creature you really have never seen before. It's white, and you haven't talked to your uncle yet. Did you ever, did it have an impact on you to where you thought, maybe I shouldn't go back there and hunt, period? Not necessarily.

I mean, I think for that one, at least, it just made me kind of aware. I mean, I've been out there a couple more times. I haven't personally seen it again. I know other people have that have been hunting, that have hunted out there. I haven't. I just, I think it's more of there's this understanding that, okay, we don't bother it. It doesn't bother us. So I think that it just kind of made me aware as not so much fearful.

And I know the very last encounter really shook you up and we'll get to that in a moment. About eight years later or so, you had an encounter in Tennessee. If you would, when did this encounter happen and just walk us into what you ended up seeing that day? So the second one was in 2016, I believe, yeah, 2016. it was in a place called Indian Mound, Tennessee. It's a little small town out in the middle of nowhere. My girlfriend lived out there at the time, and I had went with her and all,

and I had a couple of stuff out. Well, I mean, this was in the time when we had broken up. I had a couple things out there of mine that she had. So I'm like, I called her. I was like, hey, you know, I'm going to go to your house. I'm going to get my stuff if that's all right. She's like, yeah, like I left it on the porch. No one's home.

Just go out there, get it. And okay. So I'm like, all right, you know. So her house, it's called Indian Mound first because it was built on an Indian Mound, which, you know, was kind of morbid. So I went out there. And it's like deep in this valley. Like we always made the joke, you have to ship Sunshine in there just because that's how far down it is. And so it's like I was going down these dirt roads and all, this huge dip and all. I had finally made it to where she lived. And so when I had went up, like up the hill, I turned on the dirt road where she lived. And I was pulling up. And I noticed this thing that was like squatting like on the side of the road. And I was looking at it. I was like, well, you know, kind of, you know, I didn't know what it was.

I was like maybe it's a bear. Like maybe it's a large dog. I have no idea. Yeah. And on the right side of the road. is a hill, but this hill's like straight up and down. Like no way. Like me and hers try to climb it like tons of times

and it takes, I mean, everything to climb that hill, probably 10 to 20 steps to even get up the hill. And so as I was pulling up, this thing stands up. And I mean, I'm just like looking up like out my windshield. I mean,

uh, this thing was massive. I mean, bigger than the first, first one I saw. I mean, I would say probably eight foot, but probably pushing 900 pounds. And it stands straight up and it looks up the car. It takes two steps and it's cleared the hill.

I mean, just gone. And I stopped and I was like, I got out. I was like, looking. And I'm like, did I just see that? And so I got, I went down and I called my girlfriend. I'm like, hey, I need, I needed. tell you about something. I was like, you're going to think I'm crazy. And she was like, what did you see a Bigfoot or something? And I was like, yeah, that's exactly what I saw.

And she was like, yeah, we've seen them out there. And I'm like, okay. And I was like, you know, it, like, she's like, we used to see them when we went out the back door at play and all. And I'm like, okay. And I thought that one was really interesting. I mean, it's not the most exciting encounter. I thought it was very interesting, though, because of the fact that it is on an Indian burial ground. And I kind of think there's a connection there. I mean, I know the Indians, dating back to the Indians, they would tell stories of Sasquatch and Bigfoot. And I personally believe there's some sort of connection there. I'm still trying to piece that together of what that was.

I just know that there was no way a human could climb that hill, not in two steps. like it stood up one step in the road one step over the hill was gone and i was just i mean i thought i was seeing things and i'm like what in the world's going on and i mean it was a dirt road so unfortunately you know there's not a whole lot you know track wise but yeah and i know that we're talking you know eight years later after your first encounter um and now you're seeing this thing how far away from you was a creature when it stood up and started walking up the hill. It was probably, yeah, like, it was probably maybe 10 yards from my car. I mean, I was like right there and I had stopped and it had like stood up and looked at my car and then

it was just, it was gone. I mean, yeah, I would assume all of this is happening probably really, really fast. But when it stood up and you're looking at it, I mean, you're really close to this saying, can you kind of describe what you saw? Yeah, so when it stood up and looked at me, I mean, it was kind of doing like the, you know, the generic Bigfoot like stamps. But it was like looking at my car and it almost looked like it was curious. That's like what it was. I mean, it was all brownish fur everywhere except for like its face. Like it had like bare spots.

Yeah, I know. Outline it like by its eyes and all. And it just looked at the car. and I mean, I don't know, you know, necessarily in my mind at the time. I don't know if it was just going to, you know, attack my car or what. But when I looked at it, it did seem like it was more curious than anything. So I'm like, you know, I just sat there. And, I mean, I had the car, I put the car in reverse just because I don't know, you know, if I needed to move or what.

And so, like I said, it was all brown. Like I said, probably eight foot tall, pushing 900 pounds. Easy. I mean, his shoulders were super broad. And I mean, honestly, I felt like a little toy car next to it. I thought, you know, I was going to play with my car like a hot wheel or something, honestly. Yeah, I can imagine pulling up and being pretty terrified this thing's right there in front of you. I know you were breaking up with your girlfriend at the time, but the whole time you dated her,

did she not bring up the fact that she was seeing these things on the property? I think she had mentioned it at one time. And I thought she was joking maybe because she had she also said that that the house was haunted, which, I mean, looking back now, it explains a lot. So, I mean, I probably thought in the moment that she was just joking or something or just saying that, just because, you know, she knew I believed or something. Yeah. And I think that actually makes a lot of sense. Sometimes when people are so straightforward, you think that they're joking and they're not. I know that the last one is the one that really bothered you the most, and there was a bunch of eyewitnesses there with you.

If you would, when did this happen? And I know what happened in Tennessee, kind of walk us into what you were doing, and what ended up happening that day? This one happened 2018, and I, probably my most terrifying encounter. it's really hard to talk about. But I do want to share it. I haven't shared it with many people. I've shared it with four people. One of those is Bobo from Finding.

Bigfoot me and him talk a lot. Great guy. But it was in the springtime. And I remember it so vividly. It was a cold day. It was a little damp. in the rain in a little bit. And I was with my family.

I was like, let's go and let's go to the park here. I mean, it's not really a park. It's like a just a creek and a bunch of caves and all back there. And I'm like, let's go here. I want to take some pictures. You know, no one's going to be there. You know, it's fine, which usually there's a ton of people there. I mean, it's like the hot spot.

When we got there, there was no one there at all. We parked and we started walking down. And, I mean, it was a little chilly and all. and we start down the trail and I noticed this tree, this large, just huge tree that had been laid down over the trail. And I thought it was peculiar

just because, you know, it hadn't stormed or anything. There was nothing, you know, there was really no reason that a tree should be down, you know, like that, just randomly. And so I'm like, well, you know,

it's no big deal. So we started walking. It was me, my mom, my brother, my cousins. And I kind of took the lead and we we started down the trail and I got probably you know

within like five feet of this tree when this this creature popped its head over and it just looked at us and everyone just kind of stopped and I stopped I froze

as we looked at this creature as we're just sitting there looking at it all of a sudden rocks being thrown at us so close that I can hear the wind coming off these rocks. So my mom and my brother and my cousins, they run. I mean, they take off. And I'm just standing there.

I mean, I'm dead frozen. And I mean, it's just continuous rocks coming. I remember just I locked eyes with this creature. And it was the weirdest thing. I'm not one that believes necessarily in mind control. I've heard it. I've heard in folklore. I've heard there's big foots that can do that.

Never a big believer in that. But when I looked at, when I locked eyes with this creature, something happened. It was almost an outer body experience almost like, but I seen myself through this creature's eyes. Like, I was looking at myself through this creature. And I just, I couldn't move. I mean, I was frozen.

But when that happened, when I got into that state, when I got into that, whatever it was, like, I felt what this creature was feeling. And it wasn't anger. It was curiosity. It was wonder. It wasn't like it was trying to hurt no one. but it was like curious. To this day, I don't necessarily know what exactly happened with that. I don't know if it was mind control.

I don't know if it was, I don't know how to explain that. And that's what bothers me the most about this is I just don't know how what it was. You know, I don't know how to explain it, you know. And I mean, this probably just went on for, you know, three to four minutes. the next thing I know, like, my mom's yanking me and, like, pulling me off this trail. And, I mean, I'm still just, like, in a state of limp. I mean, I'm there, but I'm not there, you know. And I'm just watching.

And this creature just stands up. And it just starts walking back. I mean, long, just long legs. I mean, just huge stride, you know. And we got up to the hill. hill and everyone all of my cousins because they're small they're little and my mom they're trying my mom's trying to come up with a rational explanation for them and she's like oh well it's a person it's a person it could be you know this and that and so i just remember i remember we were walking

back to the car and when we look down i mean there's like a guardrail there and then it's straight down it's a straight drop rocks everywhere like pointing rocks, poison ivy, thorns. There's no other way down than besides the trail that we went on. And then we got back up to the parking area and we're the only car. There's no other cars anywhere. No one was there that day except for us. And the only way that someone could have ever got down there is they would have had to pass us and go behind that tree.

Never happened. That that shook me really. bad. I shut people out. I broke it with my girlfriend at the time. I quit the company that I'd been with for a long time. I didn't go in the woods for over two years. That it did something to me mentally. I still don't have that. I don't have that. I lost the peace of my mind that day and I still don't have that. And that, I have to live with that, you know. I still haven't been back out to that spot.

I don't know that I ever will go back. I want answers. But that, I don't know how I'm supposed to feel, you know. So. Yeah, I hear you. And I appreciate you sharing it. I wish I had a great answer for you on what was going on there. I've heard of some accounts like this to where people are paralyzed, you know, and it's more

than just fear. Even the Native Americans talk about these creatures having the ability to hypnotize you, and, you know, that's kind of why you want to not look them in the eyes. Yeah, it's really, really fascinating. When you were there and the creature, you know, popped its head up, how far away from you was a creature. No, I mean, I could have reached out and touched it. I mean, I was that close.

And it was still squatting. Like, it was still squatting at the time. So, I mean, we were, we were, we were, I was looking straight at it. And, and I, like I said, I, I didn't go back in the woods for, for two years after that. That's not like me. I mean, I lived in the woods. That's my home. I love the woods.

And I will say this. And I don't want to get too far off this. But I will say this. The first time I went back in the woods was last hunting season. A friend of mine invited me back to Alabama to go hunting with him at his hunt club. And I'm like, yeah, you know, let's do it. You know, he put me in a stand, great stand, great spot. And I went out there, you know, before the sun come up.

And so I'm looking and you're trying to hear anything and I'm not hearing nothing. So as the sun begins to rise, I noticed. this thing to my left, about 25 yards in front of my tripod. And as it got light, as the sun came up, I was able to tell what it was, didn't see a deer all morning. And then I saw that tree structure. And I was like, well, that explains why there's no deer. And so I'm trying to tie this all in as far as two and a half years later,

you know, two years later, whatever, from that third encounter. First time back in the woods, there's a tree structure. And there had been sightings of Bigfoot on that property. And I don't know, you know. I don't know. You know, maybe I'm just a magnet. But, yeah, that third encounter really, really shook me. It made me terrified.

Yeah, well, you know a lot of people that live, especially out in the country, tend to run into them more. when you were looking at the face, can you kind of describe it? I mean, how was it, was it very similar to the other ones that you had seen? I mean, there was hair everywhere.

Except it almost, you know, looked like a, like a, you know, like a gorilla, like a primate wood, you know, where it was like hair everywhere except for like the eyes. And like I could tell where the note, I could see like, you know, the facial features of it.

The eyes are the thing that stick out the most to me. just because every time I close my eyes, I can see them. And it was so, like, just, I don't know how to explain it. Like, I looked into the eyes and just, I got, I was lost. I mean, like, it was the craziest thing. I mean, it's like these deep, like, dark, like, brownish eyes and, and something about it, like, just pulled me, pulled me into it. And, but yeah, I mean, like I said, it was just hair everywhere except for like the face and all.

And like I could just clearly, it was like, I mean, it, it, it, it almost had the facial features of, you know, a primate. But when I saw it stand up, I knew if I knew what it was. And like I said, the place we were at, well, yes, there's usually a lot of people there. There's so many caves and stuff back there that are unexplored and everything. and I personally believe that's where they're living at is in them caves back there. I mean, it's got plenty of vegetation, plenty of deer, plenty of food sources for Bigfoot. And I believe there was more, I believe there was more that day in those caves. Yeah, it definitely sounds like there was more than one.

I mean, you're seeing one and you're having rocks thrown at you and your family. Did the family ever acknowledge as far as what they saw that day? Yeah, my mom, she has. Like I said, she was trying to, she was trying to rationally explain it, you know, for the kids' sake. But yes, she acknowledges it now. We've talked about it once. And, I mean, she's a believer too. And she knows what it was.

But like I said, I think she was more of trying to rationalize it for the little ones, so they weren't scared. Yeah, I think that's understandable. You know, your mom trying to keep everyone calm and cool during this whole incident. And it's very strange as far as you guys locking eyes and the feelings that you were getting. And you had these three experiences in your life. You know, the first one you were hunting, the last two were kind of random that have happened to you. And you got a chance to really look and look at these creatures, look into the face of them. And there's kind of this debate, you know, online.

Or they, is it an ape? Is it a man? Is it a demon? Is it an alien? And there's really no wrong answer. But if someone were to ask you, Will, what is Sasquatch? What would you say to them? Honestly, that's something that I have.

I mean, I've done a lot of research. I've done a lot of thinking and all. I think it's a, this would be the easy answer, like a humanoid ape, but I mean, honestly, that's what I think it is. I mean, I think it's, I think it's part human part ape. I mean, I don't really know another way to explain it. I don't think it's necessarily a demon because it's not out to hurt you. I don't think, I mean, obviously, I know there's aggressive Bigfoot, you know, that's something for another time. you know, a lot of people don't understand that, you know, there's more than one type of bigfoot. There's different species. Yeah, well, I mean, we theorize that.

No one really knows that. Yeah. But, you know, just based off of, you know, encounter stuff like that, different stories from Indian tribes. You know, that's what, you know, we theorize, yeah. But a majority of them aren't necessarily aggressive. Now, territorial, you know, yeah, they might be. So, you know, we might mistake the aggressiveness for them just protecting their territory. But as far as what I believe it is, I don't think it's out to necessarily hurt people.

Personally, I think I want to say it's half human, half ape. I would lean more towards, you know, it's a species of an ape. And I want to lean towards that. But I think it's like a mix. I think it's, I mean, you know, I think it's a half human, half ape. honestly. Yeah, and I could see why you would say that. You know, a lot of times when people run into them, that's exactly what most eyewitnesses say. I ran into a half man, half ape. And I really appreciate you sharing what happened to you will, you know, I'm sure it's happened to other people

out there. And it's kind of like what you and I were talking about off the air with the Native Americans. They would always tell you not to look these creatures in the eye, in the eyes. And the reason for that is it was kind of two reasons. One, they generally got pissed off or mad when he stared them down. The second reason, though, a lot of Native Americans say don't look them in the eyes. I can't remember how it's translated, but it has to do with, basically, it comes out as being hypnotized. You know, they have the ability to hypnotize you. And it's a very strange event that happened to you, man.

I really appreciate sharing it. It is, you know, like I said, I've never, and that's what I've been with. one to believe in the mind control aspect of it, but something happened, something grabbed a hold of my mind, and I wasn't there. You know, it was like, it was almost, like I said, it was almost an outer body experience, but yet I was like seeing myself through this creature.

And it was the craziest thing, you know, and I don't know, maybe there is truth to it, you know? Like there's something because it happened to me. And like I said, I still wrestle with that a little bit today and trying to figure out exactly what it was. And like what exactly pinpoint what happened. And I might not never understand exactly.

But I definitely am leaning like, you know, more towards there is some truth to that mind control because it happened. Yeah, I think there's definitely some truth to it. That's for sure. There's something to that. I mean, you're not the only, this isn't the only time I've heard of something like this. happening and I wish I had a great answer for you on what was going on there or why it affected you in the way it did. But I'm really glad that you took the time to come on and share what happened to you because, you know, maybe someone listening has experienced something much like

And I know that you guys had a very strange encounter out there in the Mark Twain National Forest in Missouri. Emily, why don't we start with you? This just happened a few weeks ago, didn't it? Yeah, we were going down for deer season. and it was actually Christmas night that we went down. And we were meeting one of our friends down there as well. And we got down there around 7.30 and then just kind of went to sleep. We had our dog in the back.

And then our friend came down. He came down a couple hours later. And then our dog woke up and started barking. So we looked up and our friend had gotten down there. Well, when I looked up, I saw my friend standing at the driver's door, and then I saw somebody else standing behind the trunk. I figured another one of his friends had tagged along, but then we woke up the next morning, and it was just him. And then I know George saw more about how the shadow type person looking moved. Yeah, it's strange. So it's you and

George, Emily, and you guys have a friend that's coming. He shows up, and you guys thought he brought someone with them because there was someone standing by the car. Let me ask you, are you guys in a camper? No, we were sleeping in a van. Oh, I got you. Well, let me ask you, George, what did you see? So this happened for two nights in a row. It was Friday night, which was Christmas, and then the next night on Saturday. So the first night, I fell asleep as soon as we got there. So when he got there, I looked up, saw it was him, I was like, okay. And then I kept dozing off, you know, waking up. He was, like, messing around with the fire.

Like, we didn't even have a fire. He was just trying to start one because he's just, you know, a kid. And I see this thing. I thought it was a person because, you know, she goes, oh, there's blah, blah, blah. You know, someone's here. It's like, okay. But I saw this thing at the back of his car. And then it took four steps and got out of view.

So I was like, oh, whatever. I'm just going back to sleep. but I thought it was one of his buddies. So what kind of happens next? Now you guys are there, what, two nights in a row, correct? Yeah, two nights. Yeah, so the next night, we ended up sleeping actually in the van with our friend. And we had both of our dogs in the van, too.

One was in the front seat, and one was kind of sleeping in the back with us. And then in the middle of the night, both of the dogs started going crazy and barking at the back window right by where we were sleeping. And then George heard some knocking on the window. It was such a hot night. So we cracked like all the windows. And we finally, finally fell asleep. And then out of nowhere, this was like everyone's dead asleep. The dog just, the meanest growl and bark you've ever hurt her.

You know, she's just, whoo, woo. I'm like, whoa, it woke me up. Like it was nothing. And then she was just staring. out the window, like right where the crack was. And I was like, I can't do anything, you know, like this, you know, I could feel this thing. I felt like it was right behind me, you know, because my head's right next to the window. I can't, I couldn't grab the gun. I couldn't, you know, because we were, we, we were all like, you know, I was messing around the first,

first day. I was like, oh, so Kristen doesn't have a buddy here. So I guess it was just big foot, ha, ha. And, you know. It was, it was crazy that it kind of happened again. The next night. And then we had also had a pumpkin down there. And we put it by our van and then went to sleep in the van. And then the next morning we woke up and it was moved about what 10, 15 feet away? With no scratches on it, no marks whatsoever. It was set right side up, but none of us moved it. And then we went out to sit for our hunt. And then when we came back, as the sun was a lot brighter, it was hitting the car and you could see three big handprints on it. Two of them were like somebody almost looking inside of the van.

It was on the window that the dogs were barking at. And then there was also one on the back windshield. Yeah, and you guys sent me a picture of the handprint. And the handprints are so hard to capture, especially on camera. But, you know, what you guys sent me, there's definitely handprints on the van. Now, Christian, did you guys ever talk to him? Did he ever see anything that night? Yeah, sadly, he didn't see anything, and what's really weird is, you know, because he had a dog and it was him.

And I know, me and Christian has been in the woods our whole lives. We grew up down there. And he didn't hear this thing, and it was, what, five foot from him? Yeah, he didn't even see it. Right on the other side of the car. He didn't even, he said he didn't even really feel the feeling of like somebody was there watching him or anything. Yeah, and I know this is a really brief encounter, but I'm glad to have you guys on the show because of kind of how this encounter went down. I mean, it's really weird.

Your friend shows up, and you guys have been waiting for him. And, you know, when you look out, George, you're like, oh, Christian brought a friend with him. But the fact that it was right there next to Christian, you know, he was getting something out of the car. He's down by the fire. This thing's within a few feet of them. And he never even knows it's there. The handprints that you sent me, when you guys. got out, was there only that one set of handprints?

So it was a set of them and then there was one on the back trunk. But just the one. Yeah. Just the one on the trunk. But it was crazy to put our hands up there next to the handprint and seeing how much like longer the fingers are and how much wider the palm is than any one of our handprints. Like it doesn't even look like a human handprint, honestly. It's way bigger.

Yeah. the thumb was real round and the actual palm wasn't much wider than mine but the fingers were like two or three inches bigger than mine yeah makes me wonder what was going on there if it was like a juvenile coming to check you guys out um it's probably more than one uh yeah i'm assuming you guys have been to this area of the mark twain before yeah i've been down there my entire life Yeah, it's where we've always been camping in this open field. Have you guys ever experienced anything else while being down in this area? Nothing crazy. I mean, there's always like that weird, you always hear like wood cracking

and like feels like, you know, someone's watching you whenever you're sitting by the fire at night. Like, I always get that feeling. Yeah, it is a little creepy. It's just the dark. Yeah, you know, and then you hear the dogs out of nowhere just start barking and trying to go to it. And we're like, no, no, no, stay where we can see you. She did, yeah, she ran off to the point where we couldn't see her. And she hardly ever does that.

Yeah, that's a trip. And, you know, from talking to you guys, George and Emily, and you were talking about the hands off the air. And I was telling you guys that that's why I kind of think it might have been a young one. Because like you were saying, George, the hand was about the same size as yours, but the fingers were a lot longer. They kind of have that alien look. And I've often wondered if they grow into their hands or what, you know what I mean? Yeah, yeah. Well, I looked up because it was Christian's van, and I looked it up.

It was a 2005 Dodge Caravan to see actually how tall this thing could be. And it would be like five and a half to seven foot tall, depending on how far like in front or behind the car it was when I saw it. But it took four steps and it was gone in the dark. Yeah, let me ask you, George. I know when you first saw this individual, you thought it was one of Christians' buddies that came with them. But looking back now, was there anything about the figure that stands out to you that, you know, at a quick glance, you look up, you're like, oh, he brought someone with them, you lay back down. But in that moment, was there anything about that individual that made you think it wasn't a person? It really, it really looked like a human.

But like, I thought it was, you know, because it was the same color all up and down, which I thought it was because I had my contacts out and I had the light from my truck on. So I was like, all right, it's probably just one of his buddies. But when we came back from hunting the next morning and said, hey, bud, where's your buddy? And he goes, I didn't bring anybody down. I was like, but we saw two people. Yeah, that's even creepier for a poor Christian. And, you know, you guys are saying, where's your friend at? You know, and he has no clue what you're talking about.

Trying to freak him out. Yeah, he was pretty freaked out. So whenever the dog woke me up, I was like, Christian, Christian, wake up. There's something outside your car. And he was, he was, he was like, no, I don't want to get up. And I was like, come on, bud, there's something outside your car. And I don't want to be the only one to wake right now. Yeah, I hear you.

sometimes things are better left alone. You know what I mean? Let me ask you, Emily, you know, prior to this happening to you guys, what was kind of your feelings on the whole topic of Sasquatch? I mean, at first, like, I knew the idea of the topic, but I mean, I kind of just screw up as like, oh, maybe it's out there, maybe it's not, maybe it does exist, maybe it doesn't. So I never really kind of like ruled it out.

but from my understanding, like, it couldn't have been a bear, it couldn't have been anything else. And I mean, I don't know what else would make that big of a handprint and what else would act in that way. It kind of does make me really believe that it was Bigfoot just hearing the other, the other episodes and just the similarities, like the tapping and the setting that it happened in and everything that have been in some of your stories have applied. to this. So really, I do think, I really think it was Sasquatch. Yeah, especially with the handprints, because they do look very human-like. I'm looking at them here, and I know you guys kind of shot it from an angle shot to actually get the handprint. And, you know, it obviously doesn't sound like a bear. And if it was a human, that's even more creepy. It's like some creep coming up. Let me ask you this, Emily. I know you've been listening to the show. If someone were to ask you, what is Sasquatch?

What would you say to them? I think they're human. Like, I think they're in, like, the same family as far as, like, apes and primates that kind of we would somewhat fall into. So I think they're related to humans. Yeah, I hear you. Well, let me ask you, George. You and Emily are out there hunting a lot. I know you guys are outdoors a lot.

Prior to this weird night happening to you guys, what was kind of your feelings on Sasquatch? Did you not give it another thought? How did you feel about the subject? I've never seen anything in the woods like that. I've never been that creeped out in the woods. You know, I'm always cautious because I don't know what's out there. You know, no one's been all the way out there. So it could be anything, but I really, really thought it was Bigfoot.

You know, it really convinced me after that point. Yeah, I just don't see it. person having the balls to come up and do that, you know, up on, especially walking into someone's camp and, um, and Christian not seeing anything. It's a, it's a very strange event that happened to you guys. Um, let me ask you, what do you think that Sasquatch is, George? I would, I would say that it's definitely related to us in some way, but it's completely different as well. It's, I mean, they're so quiet. and then when they don't want to be, they don't want to be, you know?

They only show themselves if they want to see. Yeah, that's a strange part. You would have think you guys would have heard whoever that was, that individual entity Sasquatch. Do you think you would have heard them because you guys are right there? But like, to your point there, George, I mean, there's a lot of situations where people just don't, they have no clue that they're there, all of a sudden the creature's there.

It's very, very strange. Do you guys have any plans on going back? I think so. I'm definitely, yeah. That's where we always hunt and our family's down there. I've been going down there my entire life. My grandpa has been going down there most of his life. You know, it's just I'm definitely bringing a bigger gun in the woods.

Got to be more cautious. Yeah, definitely more cautious. Yeah, without a doubt. Well, if you guys end up going back down there, which it sounds like you're going to, Let me know if anything happens, will you? I mean, that Mark Twain National Forest is notorious for sightings. It sounds like it, yeah, for sure. We were driving on one of the roads just, you know, driving around,

and there's people with Bigfoot stickers. I was like, these country boys, they got to see it, you know, they got to know. Yeah, I hear you.
