Sasquatch Chronicles - SC EP:946 I Could See The Wrinkles In Its Face
Episode Date: April 16, 2023Pat writes "On my bachelor party, Friday the 13 august 2021 after we all were drinking, a Bigfoot stormed through our camp and growling and stomping in an absolute territorial display. It was probably... more like the early hours of the 14th. This f—-r was stomping and growling At the same time. I could feel the growling and feel the stomping as well as hearing the stomping and growling! This was at the same time. Initially I thought it was my friend who was notoriously known for screwing with people, so when I got up I said out loud, "Grant, what the f–k are you doing?!" Then I heard a quick shuffle. I saw movement above my head….. I have to go back. I have a giant Costco tent. Its more like a barn than a tent. We didn't have the rain fly on it because this is august. Thought it was raining, but it's rocks. Before the growling. I'm sorry it's all scrambled. However, after I thought it was my friend and I yelled out, I saw out of the corner of my eye through the top of the tent was a face. This face was larger than a five gallon bucket. It was quicker than a moment. This f—-r was looking down at me, and when I saw it, it was shocked I saw it. So, it looked at me and lurched backwards like it was scared. BUT, as it moved back it's face changed from shock to absolute pissed off something fierce where I could see the wrinkles in its face. Before it yelled and growled down at me like I can't explain In text. I saw it's teeth. It's nose. Hair line. There is so much more to this story, but I saw it's teeth, face, wrinkles in the forehead. I can't sleep. This is why I'm emailing you this late because I'm tired of being sick and tired." Here is the image Pat sent me that was close to what he saw. Pat writes "It kind of looked like this only its teeth were clenched together with a taller forehead and darker but greasy looking skin"

It looked like somebody was bent over and had their head in the window of the deer blind
and it either heard me or smelt me and he pulled his head out of the tent and stood straight up
and that shocked me.
They don't make people that big.
The way it moved, almost as if it was gliding across the beach.
I've never seen anything moves like that in my life.
They were screaming at each other in gibberish.
It sounded like a language and they were chuntering away back and forwards, back and forwards, back and forwards.
I know what a bear looks like and there is no way on this planet that what I saw were bears.
What are you reporting?
Get somebody out here.
What's going on now, sir?
That's son of a bitch is about six years.
This is about six foot nine.
I don't know.
Is he a male, sir?
Yes, I'm looking right in.
Uh-uh.
This is Chase from Eastern Idaho here, listening to my favorite broadcast, Saskatch Chronicles.
Welcome to the show, everyone.
Thanks for being here tonight.
Got a great show plan for you.
We're going to be chatting with Pat.
And two years ago, he had a bachelor party,
and a bunch of the boys that were out there in the woods near Vernonia, Oregon,
right next to the Nahalam River, which is notorious for sightings.
And Pat had a run in with one of these creatures.
Pretty scary experience.
And I know he's nervous about coming on.
I was telling him, hey, man, there's no reason to be nervous at all.
But he's agreed to come on and share the experience.
And you got a really good look at the face of this saying.
And, but I'll let Pat go into it.
If you've had an encounter and he'd like to be on the show, shoot me an email.
My email address is Wes at Sasquatch Chronicles.com.

Let's jump into it tonight.
I want to welcome Pat to the show.
Pat, thanks for coming on.
Hey, thank you, bud.
Yeah, man.
And if you would, take me back two years ago in Bernonia, Oregon.
What were you guys doing and what happened?
Kind of walked me into this whole situation.
What did you end up seeing?
Well, yeah, well, it was going to be my bachelor party.
So we had a bunch of us.
We were initially supposed to go up to Timothy Lake out by Mount Hood.
But we had to bag that plan because we were,
there was so many wildfires out there,
the smoke was so bad we couldn't go up there so our buddy came up out of nowhere and said he would
talk to his folks about their property out there and so we just ended up doing that and you know set up
everything all the camp and we had a you know a bunch of food they you know they're all a bunch of
elk hunters so they had a bunch of elk steaks and sausages and we had a bunch of
had more food than we could eat kind of thing and set up a bunch of stuff for cornhole.
We had a big old cornhole tournament going on and stuff like that.
And everybody kind of showed up about four or five o'clock in the evening.
And we just kind of howling out and just caught up basically and had some beers and that was about it.
So then we went and, you know, basically we were hanging out, getting ready for bed kind of a deal.
And, you know, we had, we were having a bunch of fun.
We were being loud and rowdy.
And, you know, we realized, you know, there's only about, what, four or five of us that hadn't gone to bed yet.
So it was like, well, we got a early morning tomorrow.
We're going to wake up and do breakfast.
And then we were going to walk up the river and grab a bunch of crawdads for a crowd out boil.
So we end up hitting the sack.
And my brother and I, we were, we were sharing our tent.
And so we've got this big Costco size tent.
It's got like a little divider in the center of this tent.
And so basically it was two rooms.
And we use this for the kids when we go camping with my wife's side of the family.
And each side is big enough to hold a,
queen size, blow-up mattress and a twin side by side.
So it's got a lot of room in there.
And, you know, it's really tall.
But everybody set their tents up in this tree line.
So the way the property is, is when you drive in from the main road,
there's tree lines up on your left, which I think it's like the west side of the property.
And then the east side and the north side is just a big meadow.
And that dips down to the river.
Anyway, we set up our tents in the tree line to keep us out of the sun in the mornings, you know.
Because it's August.
It was like 95, 98 degrees.
The wildfires were going crazy.
So there was, you know, it was pretty protected out in Vernonia there from all the smoke.
But, you know, it was still kind of there.
you know, you can tell that over east, they were, the fires were going pretty hot.
So anyway, we're in the tree line with our tents.
And when we went to go hit the sack, I think, God, I remember laying there and hearing all the pine needles from the trees land on top of the tent kind of thing and kind of fall asleep, listening to that.
and I couldn't have been out for more than 15, 20 minutes max.
And I just remember, like I was saying before, it was like kind of like Jurassic Park,
where, you know, they felt the impact tremors of the T-Rex.
And that was exactly how it was.
You could hear something.
I had no idea what it was.
And initially, I thought it was my friend of mine.
He's notorious for, you know, pulling pranks and stuff like that.
And I thought he's just running around trying to freak people out.
Well, the more it went on, the number one, the louder it got, and the closer, you know, it got closer and closer.
And you could feel it, you know, heavier and heavier.
But at the same time, what really snapped me out of it was I could hear like a growl with every single step.
And so with every single step, you could not only hear the footfall, but you could feel it.
But then at the same time, you could hear this growl and you could feel it.
So once I realized, like, this is not my, this is not my buddy, you know, this is not, this is not the guy.
That's when I snapped up, you know, kind of sit up on my air mattress there with my arm kind of propping me up.
And I'm listening to this thing.
And, you know, once I, I have to go back a little bit because where we were, where I could hear and feel this.
whatever the heck was going on.
I actually, once it, because it was on the other side of this one tree that I had put my tent underneath.
Once, once whatever the hell it was was going on right on the other side of this tree,
I, I yelled out, hey, you know, what the hell are you doing?
Kind of thing, you know?
And then it stopped, but I could hear something shuffle straight to the ten.
tent from the other side of the tree.
And so I couldn't, so I'm looking out the, you know, the window of this tent.
And I don't see anything, right?
Well, the way this tent is, it's basically two squares, basically.
And in the center of the two windows, right?
It's totally blocked off.
You can't see through it.
Well, this thing was standing there.
and I had no idea at this moment what was happening, what was going on.
But something, as I'm looking out, you know, it's pitch black.
So basically all I could see was, you know, the tree and the shade.
It was all shades instead of colors.
You know what I mean?
There was no rainfly or anything because it's just too damn hot out.
So, yeah, I could see straight out the side of it.
the tent, but I couldn't quite see what was out there.
And, you know, at this moment, I'm thinking it's my buddy.
And as like snap, like split, like, right, like, it was just a moment, you know.
But immediately, once that I heard this thing shuffle over to me, I'm looking out to try and see it.
Well, I see out of the corner of my eye up through the rainfly.
I see movement and I snap to look up and it's a face.
But the face was so damn big that it took up almost that entire section of the tent.
I mean, and this thing was staring at me, you know, but when I looked up and looked at this thing dead in the eyes and this thing is.
staring at me, and it lurched its head back, like it was surprised that I saw it. But, like,
at the peak of it moving its head backwards, it, like, had this look of, like, almost, like, shock,
like, oh, damn, he saw me, kind of thing. But then as it moved its head backwards,
it wrinkled its face into this frown and it's its forehead wrinkled.
You know, the eyes, the eyebrows wrinkled down like into a frown.
It's like, you know, the chin or the, excuse me, the cheeks, totally flexed.
And it grid its teeth and opened its lips.
hips up, but kept his mouth closed. And then it lurched its head forward straight down at the tent and growled at me like just with like pure hatred. You know, like, I mean, this thing was there to, to scare the hell out of us and, you know, try to get us out of there is what I can only think. But it, it just looked straight down, growled at me. And like, I always described this to, you know, my wife and kids and,
friends and stuff like that when I tell them a story.
You know that movie, The Great Outdoors with the bald-headed killer bear?
And in the very end of the movie, when the bear gets into the cabin and it stands up over
Dan Aykroyd and he's standing there with his mouth wide open and he's screaming but nothing
comes out, that was exactly the feeling that I got was like just shock.
and it was almost like, you know, time stood still kind of a feeling.
But this thing, when it growled at me and did that, I just sat there, like, and just petrified.
And once it did that, you could see that, you couldn't see, like, the body because it was blocked out by that section of the tent.
but you could tell that it had shifted its body to the right, but it was still looking at me and just walked off.
And it stomped all the way through past all the other tents.
And so a buddy of mine, he had parked his work van.
He was sleeping in his work van.
And he had parked it back up the trail.
you know, I would say maybe 30 feet from all of us.
And that thing walked in the center of us in the van, stomping and growling like he did.
And so finally I had pulled this out of the guy where he told me that he heard something and saw something.
but he wouldn't like get specific about it you know what I mean so I heard one more this thing just one more just god-awful growl and he but it was it turns out that this thing had looked over at his truck or his van and did one more giant growl at him because he heard this thing over by my tent and he reached up and locked the door to
in his van. And that
triggered this thing to
to growl at him one more time.
But it had gone
from there. It stomped
all the way through this trail. So I'll send you
pictures of Google Earth. And you can
kind of see, you know, when they took the
pictures of the Google Earth,
it's all grown over.
Kind of, you know, they did it in obviously
daylight.
in the summertime.
So you can see the trees are all full,
but you can still kind of see this little Jeep trail
that goes behind their old barn.
It had walked down that way, stomping and growling still,
for, I want to say, at least 75 more yards
until I couldn't hear it anymore.
But as it's walking away,
and I couldn't hear any more stomping,
or growling, it wasn't like I fell asleep.
It was more like I just totally fainted and just laid back down and just out and, you know,
wake up the next morning.
And I was like, totally shocked, you know?
The next morning, it was just like, what the heck happened last night?
You know what I mean?
Like, was that a, like a, I don't want to say like a dream or something, but I was just like
total disbelief, you know what I mean?
Yeah, I get it, man.
I mean, and some people might look at that and go, well, that's weird.
He went back to sleep.
But, you know, in that moment, what people don't understand is every emotion a human
being could have, you're having all at once.
And, you know, even your ears are ringing because your heart's pumping so hard.
And, you know, most people after an encounter, especially like this, I mean, even after my
encounter. I was exhausted. So I get, you know, that doesn't bother me one bit that you basically pass
back out. And I have that tent that you're talking about. I know exactly the tent that you have.
And they're a really tall tent. I mean, I can stand up in mine. You can drop that thing and have
two separate rooms. So I know exactly the tent that you're using. And the area where you're at out
there near Vernonia. I think they travel up and down that corridor of the Nahalum River. I've had
probably a dozen reports in the last four or five years from that area, and every one of them
were aggressive that, you know, the eyewitnesses that came forward. They seem like very aggressive
reports. I want to ask you, when you're laying in your tent and you're looking up and there's
no rainfly, I realize it's dark. But can you kind of describe?
the face that you were looking at?
Well, like, okay, so,
you know,
now I'm like,
I've gone through this through my mind
so many times,
and it looked like,
so like I was saying,
it was so pitch blackout, you know,
there wasn't, like,
color to be seen as much
as they were all shades
of color, right?
So I've heard on your show
a bunch of times where
people describe the face and the skin like a fresh oiled baseball glove, right?
So, you know, we're all of us there.
We're all baseball.
We're all teammates and stuff like that from back when high school and stuff.
And the skin on its face was pretty dark, if not black, but like greasy.
like if you take your
your hand and spread your fingers out
the eyes were like
from the tip of my pinky to the tip of my thumb
wide
but like when I was looking at it
basically I was staring
like we were staring each other like straight in the pupils
so when I'm looking at
you know and it lasted for
God I want to say
like maybe three or four seconds,
but it was like a still shot,
you know,
in my mind where I'm looking at this thing
in the pupils and I can see the iris,
the squara, the whites of its eyes,
and the teeth were just massive.
I'm trying to think like
something that would make sense
to how large the teeth were,
but they were like,
you know,
like as wide as like a stick of gum or even like your thumbnail or your thumb that big.
And the canines weren't like they didn't stick down past the teeth so much like you would see like in a horror movie or anything.
But I remember thinking that everything on this thing's face like the nose.
The nose wasn't even that large relative to the size of its face.
You know what I mean?
It was more like a kind of a button nose.
But I remember, you know, thinking back then was everything on its face was like perfectly symmetrical.
The nose was like perfect.
The teeth were like straight, perfectly straight.
And the canines on in its, the canines were like, I want to say like the size of my pinky, you know, just massive.
But, you know, I don't remember seeing any hair on the face, like a mustache or a beard kind of look.
You know what I mean?
But there was, you know, on that, like, obviously I could see hair, but it was, it was more or less like I wasn't looking anywhere else, but it's eyeballs.
So, you know, there was like the hair on it was not white, but more like a flat gray.
and the face was, you know, black.
But the teeth in the eyes were, you know, basically white.
And those were the two things that stood out the most.
And, uh, but, you know, it was like the, uh, the look of it was,
like, these thing had like perfect genes almost.
You know what I mean?
Like, it looked like it didn't have any flaws.
like the teeth were straight.
The nose looked like it was just a regular old human-looking nose.
You know what I mean?
It wasn't overly pointy or overly wide either.
It was just like almost like a button nose that was just fit its face perfectly.
But yeah, going and talking about it now is like, oh.
Yeah, I get it, man.
You know, it's like going over it back and actually being able to say it and talk about it is like, oh, anxiety, man.
Yeah, you relive the moment.
When people tell their encounters, they go right back to that moment.
I know some people listen to the show for entertainment, but, you know, when a person's telling their encounter, you're back in the moment.
And I understand the way you fill.
And again, I know the tent that you have.
It's not a tent that you, you know, got to lean down to get into.
You basically can walk right into it.
I'm curious, when you were looking up at the face of this thing, and again, you guys are practically face-to-face.
So the only thing separating you is a very thin piece of fabric you can see through.
When you were looking into the eyes of this thing, did you get the impression that you were looking at something more manlike?
or did you get the impression you were looking at an animal?
See, that's the tricky part, is it looked like this is like they're just their own kind of deal, their own thing.
But it had like, you know, human features, the nose, the eyes, the face.
It looked like a mix, a healthy mix of a human look to it, but it,
It was just wild.
You know what I mean?
The wildness was terrifying, really.
It was, I mean, it was clearly there to tell us that we didn't belong.
He didn't want us there.
It scared the hell out of me.
Yeah, and I know that you were nervous about coming on the show, and there's really no reason to be nervous about coming on.
The behavior that you're describing is spot on.
I've probably heard this behavior a million times.
And I'm very curious on your opinion.
I know that you don't know and I don't know.
But why do you think it came down, stomping around, throwing it to a little tantrum,
and really had the balls to walk through that camp?
Why do you think it did that?
I think we were just being loud and rowdy ourselves.
We were out there, you know, drinking beers and toasting to,
you know, because we're all a bunch of dads now, and most of us are married and with kids and stuff like that.
But it was the time to, basically it was the last time we caught up like that.
And so we were out there being loud and rowdy playing cornhole and having fun.
And that was, you know, one thing.
We didn't have any, you know, we didn't have a fire or anything like that.
So we had, you know, a bunch of easy ups with lanterns.
and ladders with lanterns.
We had the whole place lit up.
And so it was, you know, it was pretty bright,
but we were just being guys.
We were out there being loud and, you know,
BSing and drinking beers and having a blast.
And, God, it wasn't much, much longer after we decided to close up shop
and go to bed.
And this thing just came.
straight through.
Like, I have no idea except for we were just loud, I guess.
Yeah, I agree with you.
I think that's exactly what happened.
And, you know, a lot of times people go out there bang on trees.
They call blasts.
They do all these sayings.
And in reality, if you go out, if you go out there like you guys did, you were loud.
A lot of times they'll come in and check out what's going on.
And what's fascinating is you got such a good.
look at the face, you saw the range of emotions. It went from, oh, crap, you saw me to,
okay, now I'm pissed. You know what I mean? Yeah, it was totally, it had a look on his face of
total shock that I actually saw it, you know, like it, like it tried to sneak up to look into the
tent instead of sit there and just yell at the tent. It, it, it,
like snuck over from behind the tree as it walked in because that's the scary part this
is where this thing came from was over by the fire pit which is over by the water so it either
came through the water or it had circled all the way around us on the property just to start
stomping from I would say the fire pit over so the fire pit from where we were
were staying. I want to say it's like 25, 30 yards maybe. Maybe. And there was like three or four
other tents of my buddies in between me and the fire pit area. So that was the thing that, you know,
gets me is thinking about it now, is it had to go all the way around the property to get where
it started stomping or it came up through the river and you know because there's I want to say about
a 10 12 foot decline from the property down to the water and you know we say river it's it's more like
it's the very top of the you know the headwaters of the nahalam so it's not very large
you know especially summertime so it gives me anybody could wade through that you know it gets
about, I would say, maybe up to your ribs if you walk through it.
So that could have easily been it.
But it never heard anything like water or anything like that.
It was just out of the blue from that one side.
I want to say that's the north side of the property walking, like, west and south past our tents.
And that's what got me was.
afterwards, you know, clearly, after the initial deal, like, you know, waking up in the morning,
it was like, this thing had to sneak around us to get there.
And, I mean, like you said, though, with the tent, the fact that it was able to be up and over the tent
and bending down, I mean, this isn't like eight or nine feet.
This thing had to be at least like a nine and a half, ten footer.
And the face was like the size of a bucket, even more than that.
Like a five-gallon bucket.
It literally, it didn't take up like from, you know,
because some people are probably going to want exact measurements,
but it didn't take up the entire section of the tent that faces up and out.
it was just, it filled it for the most part.
You know what I mean?
Yeah, I've heard that described too.
You know, people say the head was the size of a five-gallon bucket.
And I would imagine up close it probably is, especially since you're not seeing really the rest of the body when you're looking up through this tent.
And you might have disagreed with me on this, but when they growl, man, it's like being hit with a bat.
I mean, you feel those growls.
right right it was like uh you know like i've heard people describe it like a big speaker sound system
or it just gets you in the chest and it just thumped you it just thump you know just thump me
and uh and it like it was weird like i could feel the fact that i was not only terrified
but it like took the,
it took the breath out of me.
You know what I mean?
It just took the whole everything except the fact that I could just sit there and look.
Everything else was gone, you know, no, I couldn't, you know,
I didn't feel like I could move or anything.
It just was like pure shock, you know, so.
Yeah, I've said this before,
and I think that mechanism in us as humans throws these,
things off when people do that.
You know, it's kind of like, I've seen a lot of bad things in my life.
But, you know, like when I was a bouncer and I would go up and start flexing on someone,
really start intimidating them, and they're not reacting.
You know, I'm like, okay, am I messing with Bruce Lee here?
Should I shut my mouth?
Like, this guy doesn't seem like he's terrified.
And that's a bad example.
But in these moments, I think when people are truly terrified, you can't tell
they just came from church.
You can't tell if they're terrified because they're not reacting.
On the inside, you're screaming, but on the outside, you're kind of frozen.
And I often wonder if that really throws these things off.
Like, why isn't this guy reacting?
I know that you don't know, and I don't know.
But why do you think it didn't just start going through killing everyone?
Why do you think it didn't kill you and everyone in that camp that night?
I don't know.
The thing is, though, is there was, like I said, like 12 of us there.
So I don't know.
I just don't know.
It just walked straight through, stomping and growling, and you're right.
I mean, the way, you know, the proximity between me and this thing, I mean, I want to say putting my arm out,
It had to be inside of five, six feet from right there.
And it could have just, you know, reach right in, rip the tent, and grab me if it wanted to.
I mean, no problem.
But it didn't.
I think what happened was when it frowned at me after it had the initial look of shock on its face, I think it realized that it worked.
You know what I mean?
Like, it did its job.
It scared the hell out of me to the point where I definitely wasn't going to, you know, get up and start fighting at all.
You know what I mean?
Like, that's what I think the reason that it didn't, you know, just start, you know, killing everything or any, you know, is the fact that it did its job.
It worked.
the fact that it scared the shit right out of me was, you know, it was like job well done.
It was done, dude.
It was over.
Yeah.
And just walked right off.
Mission accomplished.
Exactly.
Right.
Yeah, I think that that behavior that you're describing, and I've heard it a million times from my
witnesses, described this sort of behavior where.
They're trying to scare you, mission accomplished, and then they leave.
When I think about that behavior, I almost think like,
God, that sounds more like human behavior than an animal.
You know, if you take like a black bear, for example,
99% of the time a black bear is going to run from you.
But let's say they don't.
Let's say it has cubs nearby, or let's say that there's something wrong with it.
And it leans down and looks at you through that,
the top of that tent and starts growling at you, you're dead.
It's on or off.
There is no restraint, I guess is the best word.
And the restraint sometimes with these things makes me think more like human behavior.
Because, you know, there's, believe me, there's human beings I would consider animals.
But generally speaking, most sane people have some sort of restraint.
But with a wild animal, it's on or off.
And that's what really throws me off by this, by the way they act.
Exactly.
See, like, I've, you know, I worked in Alaska.
So we had black bears around the fishing lodge that I worked at every single day.
And those things were, you know, they would keep their distance and stuff.
But at the same time, we did have one that, you know,
did run down and come after us. And there was no way that it was just there to scare me.
You know what I mean? That thing was coming to eat me and my buddy. And we were, you know,
thankfully in a boat at the beach. But, you know, we were able to slam it and reverse and book it
out of there. But there was no way in hell that that bear wasn't doing anything else
except for trying to get to us to eat us.
You know, we were a food source.
And like you said, it was a good point.
It was.
It was just that thing wasn't there to eat or anything like that.
It was there to scare us out of the place.
But then we were there a whole other night,
and I don't remember anything the second night at all.
So it's like that thing came through, did its job,
scared the hell out of me.
And I think just moved on.
That's all I can think of, you know.
Because, you know, going back and like, why the hell wouldn't it come back if we were still there, you know, the whole rest of the next day and night?
And that's just that kind of blows my mind.
You know what I mean?
Yeah, I'm telling you, man.
That's the main thing that really throws me off about their behavior.
You know, this happened to you almost two years ago.
how did it affect you afterwards?
Dude, I haven't been able to sleep a full night.
I don't want to say like I was having like, you know,
Bigfoot nightmares or anything.
It's just I'll just snap out of bed.
Any little sound in the house will snap me straight out of bed.
You know what I mean?
And that's been going on, you know, ever since.
dealing with, you know, people, you know,
what the heck happened and then, you know, laughing in your face kind of a thing,
calling you, you know, people laughing and calling you a liar
and they don't believe you because you were drinking alcohol,
bothers you, you know what I mean?
That's basically what I've been dealing with is trying to sleep when I can
it's not like, you know, every night I can't sleep or anything, but, you know, you'll go through, you know, fits a little bit.
Where just waking up for no reason at two, three o'clock in the morning, you know, and then staying awake for 45 minutes or more.
And then going, you know, going back to bed, realizing that, you know, I got to be up at 5.30 in the morning for work.
just no sleep bags under the eyes kind of thing like that and watching some of these documentaries
and and listening to the show is sometimes I'll get lost in in thinking about what happened
the whole time instead of paying attention to what's being said or what I'm watching you know
what I mean just constantly kind of thinking about what the hell happened and why
Yeah, I get it, man.
And, you know, I always laugh when people bring up the drinking or, you know, smoking weed or that sort of thing.
You have drank a lot in my life.
I've never seen a monster while drinking.
So, you know, and it's a bachelor party.
You know, if you guys weren't drinking, I'd be a little suspicious.
You know what I mean?
Right.
Yeah, exactly.
I don't understand that either.
You know, what do you think we're going to do, drink tea?
Yeah, and I wouldn't even sweat that from people, man.
I mean, you're pretty spot on with everything I've heard before.
And like I said before, the area where you guys were at,
I've had many, many reports from there, many aggressive reports from there.
If someone were to ask you, what do you think Sasquatch is?
What would you say to them?
After all of that and then all the, you know, the documentaries and stuff like that,
the research about tribes and what they think.
I have no idea.
You know, this thing looked like it had obvious human features.
The, you know, the nose, the cheeks, the chin, the eyes.
I don't, I don't, I didn't see ears.
You know, they weren't just sticking out.
But the hair, the forehead was huge.
it looked like it had human traits, obviously.
You know, even you see like the, you know, Patty from Patterson Gimlin,
even though it doesn't look like a person,
it still has that human traits to it.
You know what I'm saying?
The nose, the eyes, the lips, the teeth.
The teeth were, they looked like,
gigantic human-looking teeth.
Same with the eyeballs.
The iris, like they were humanized, you know, human traits.
And just, I don't know.
It's tough to put your finger on something like that.
You take a look at a gorilla's nose.
It's almost like holes in the face.
You know what I'm saying?
And it didn't have the protruding nose there, they don't, but this thing did.
It had a nose like a person.
I mean, I have no idea.
Like, I think that they're, they're their own species.
That's how I, that's the only thing I can think of.
Because they don't look like, like anything that you think, you know, these things don't even exist.
You know what I mean?
So, I don't know.
I feel like I'm rambling because now I just, I can't put my mind.
my finger on it. Yeah, I don't think that you're rambling at all. I think that is one thing that
most people struggle with because what you are seeing and the way it's acting seems very
animalistic. But people have seen the face, they struggle with that because there's so many
human-like terroristics in the face. A lot of people will say it was somewhere between a man
and a non-human primate.
Right.
And, you know, like I've got a few pictures that I've seen over the times checking them out,
you know, looking around and seeing like, you know, Instagram pages and Facebook pages
for the Sasquatch stuff.
And, you know, they've got these pictures that they're either artists, you know,
have come up with them.
But, you know, there's like a good, like, three to five pictures where,
each one didn't look exactly like this thing that I saw.
However, I can pull traits from all of them.
And if I were to take the forehead off of one, the teeth off of another, the nose from this other picture, and then put them together, it would, you know, that would be the best way to see it, to, you know, kind of paint a picture.
but it's just wild.
I don't know.
Yeah, and you had sent me kind of an artist rendition of what you had seen.
And I'll put that underneath this episode, you know,
with kind of your notes as far as how what you saw was a little bit different.
But the image he sent me is pretty scary, man, to look at.
You know, I would contact Sibilla Irwin.
She's a lady in the Bigfoot world, and she will draw for eye.
eyewitnesses what they, you tell her what you saw and she'll draw it.
And she's like a mad genius when it comes to artistry.
I mean, her drawings are amazing.
I wanted to ask you, did you ever go back to this place?
No, I haven't.
Yeah, I haven't been down that way since.
But, I mean, shoot, I could get you there.
You know, pretty easily.
However, I haven't been through there.
I thought about it, you know, giving my friends a buzz and seeing if it's okay to take a swing in there real quick, just kind of look around.
Because, you know, the damnedest thing about it was the next day, I never even thought about going out and looking for footprints or anything.
You know what I mean?
Never even crossed my mind.
And my, that's what I did when I got home is I'm sitting there, you know, because from Vernonia up to Puyallup where we live, that's like a good four hour drive, three hour drive, something like that, you know, because it's, and I get home and sit down and I tell my wife, I was like, I'm pretty sure I got yelled at by a damn Sasquatch.
and she's like, well, did you go looking for his footprints?
And I'm like, oh, you know, damn it, I never even once thought about it.
And I had my phone next to me, never even thought about picking that damn thing up.
Because, you know, that's one thing I'd kick myself over is picking the phone up and just hitting the video recorder.
And just to hear that damn sound, you know, the sound it made was,
it wasn't like a growl like a dog because i always try to describe it where um you know when
like a person growls the like the letter r is the most predominant like er well it was more like
the letter you was like ugh you know what i mean the the the sound was just like and you know when
it did that and it it growled at me the sound sounded like you know something like you know
somebody gets punched in the gut kind of deal, but its mouth was closed.
And so, like, I try to do this and try to replay the, you know, for the kids and stuff,
the sound it made, and it hurts my voice, you know, trying to replay that sound,
it kills my vocal cords trying to do it.
So I try not to anymore, but, but yeah, the damnedest thing was, was never even once thought about
grabbing anything. I mean, none of that even crossed my mind to even reach for anything. You know what I'm saying?
Yeah. Well, it's more normal than you would think. In those moments, I mean, you're in a moment where you're thinking, okay, I'm dead. This is how it's going to end for me. And no one in the right mind goes, let me document my death. Let me get my phone. It just doesn't happen. And, you know, everything you've described, I know, you were nervous.
about coming on and there's really no reason to be nervous about coming on. I think talking about it will help. Your sleep patterns will go back to normal. It just takes time. Time helps and I can't thank you enough for taking the time to come on. I really enjoyed chatting with you. Yeah, you know, I really feel like you said, a lot better. I was extremely nervous. I was worried about what people are saying and what they would say.
and laughing and now it's just all gone and I appreciate it because I do man I feel a lot better about
talking about it because you know everybody else that I they look at me and they're like I just
can't put myself in your shoes kind of a kind of a situation you know what I'm saying so yeah it
it feels a lot better to actually get it all off my chest yeah it's
It's all fun in games and jokes until you run into one, and that it's not so fun anymore.
But definitely keep your head up, man.
Thank you again.
Yeah, you bet.
I appreciate it, Wes.
