Sasquatch Chronicles - SC EP:951 A F***ing Kangaroo?
Episode Date: May 5, 2023Tonight I will be speaking to Tim. Time writes "The first actual encounter I experienced was in the fall of 2020. It was a nice night. I had been working late which is often the case in my line of wor...k. My wife and I have two pet rabbits who are fed a diet of Timothy Hay. We would get this hay from a friend who had a farm about 40 minutes away from where we were living at the time. Seeing that it was a nice night and the coming days were going to be quite busy for me, we decided to go for a drive and pick up some hay as we were getting pretty low. The drive from where we were living to the farm went through a variety of back roads and farm lands. The way out was pretty standard. A lovely, peaceful drive after a bit of a stressful day. We picked up the hay and headed back pretty much right away. By this time it was a lot darker. Pretty much a pitch black night. Low hanging clouds prevented any stars or moon from being seen. As we were driving through an area of thick trees we spotted eye shine about 100 yards ahead of the car. We both saw it pretty much right away. There's lots of animals out on these roads and we always would be on the lookout for any that we might see. We have deer, fox, coyote, skunk, raccoons and possums. There's some weasels out this way but they're pretty rare to see. So anyways, we spotted the eyeshine and were instantly wondering what we might be seeing. Since the eyes were close to the ground we were thinking it was one of the smaller animals that are familiar to this area. But... a moment later as our vehicle got closer, those eyes rose up to about 7 feet in the air and this tall shape bounced away to its right - our left - and disappeared into the tree line. Though it was fall all the leaves were still on the trees and were yet to fall so in an instant it was completely gone. Seeing it was such a bizarre moment. I still remember my brain not being able to justify what we had seen. I had spent a lot of time in Australia in my youth and have seen kangaroos in the wild. Seeing them bounce was the closest thing that I could correlate to what I had just seen. I turned to my wife and said: "Did we just see a F***ing Kangaroo?" She had no idea what to say. I spun our Jeep around and passed by the location again but it was long gone. For days I wrestled with what we had seen and the only thing that I think it could have been was a Sasquatch. Then years later after finding your show I heard similar accounts of them being low to the ground and hopping on occasion. The second encounter that I had happened in the spring of 2022 in Asheville, North Carolina. My wife and I were doing some pet-sitting on the western edge of the city. Near the house that we were staying in, at the front to be more specific, there was beautiful dense brush which led out into a forest. The trees and brush of North Carolina in spring were filled with butterflies, birds, rabbits and a host of beautiful life. We would hear a lot of noises coming from that area both day and night. The house we were at had a little door for the cat to come in and out at will, and seeing as though the weather was really nice, the cat would be out at all hours of the day. During our time at the house there was a lunar eclipse that was going to occur. The night that it happened was clear, calm and beautiful. My wife and I sat out on the back deck and watched it happen. It was actually a blood moon lunar eclipse and as it progressed the moon turned a blood red. When it got to be about midnight we decided to turn in. I was a little worried as the cat had not returned. As we went inside I suddenly felt very uncomfortable... like we were being watched. We got ready for bed and went to lay down knowing that the cat would meow if he wanted in. A few minutes after laying down we heard a horrifying scream/howl. The window in our bedroom was open and the sound... it tore through there. Worried about the cat, I got up and ran outside. My wife followed. We went out to the back porch and listened as the scream/howl continued. It was coming from the forest area at the front. It just kept going for what seemed like the longest time. It was something that was so unnerving that I instantly felt anxiety coursing through my body. After a while my wife convinced me to go inside, convinced that the cat would be okay. Reluctantly, I went inside. The screaming stopped. But... the worst part was that our bedroom was at the front of the house. The window in the bedroom faced the brush that led to the forest. Once we laid down my wife fell asleep almost instantly. I tried as hard as I could but... man I hate saying this, but it was like something was in my mind... like whatever was out there in the bush screaming was trying to get into my head... I felt like it was right outside my window, like right outside looking in. I can't tell you how intense, overwhelming anxiety and fear that I was feeling. I didn't sleep a single minute that night... and I was near frozen in terror until about 4:30AM when all of a sudden that feeling subsided. And when I say subsided, I mean it was just gone... instantly. Even now just writing this my body is tensing up. I have no idea what was happening that night but it shook me up man. There was something so familiar that was happening... like I felt like it was there for me. I know that sounds crazy but that was just the overwhelming sense that was running through me."

A community off northern Vancouver Island is at the center of an eerie mystery.
People in Alert Bay say they've been hearing strange screams and howls from the forest at night,
and the legend of the Sasquash runs deep in their First Nations culture.
As TV's Gord Curbis reports, some are now wondering if those legends are real.
It's an eerie recording captured on a cell phone of something that's making strange howling noises heard throughout
Alert Bay.
We heard it once, and I didn't get the recording,
and then second time I got the recording.
And that's it was on the back porch.
Very eerie.
The audio was recorded just recently
on the backside of Cormorant Island.
It's been heard by many all over the island.
This summer I've heard it three times.
I've heard it scream three times.
Whatever's been making the noise
has heard primarily at night.
Some say it's a dog,
but others say that's impossible.
With that volume, absolutely nothing.
No dog can make that kind of a noise with that volume.
Art Dick hears the vocalizations just outside of his home.
He's convinced the calls are from a Sasquatch.
He believes the creature is real because of several previous encounters.
Like several years ago on a remote island further south
when a tree was thrown at himself and fellow clam diggers.
Pulled the tree right out of the ground.
The branches were still on it.
I don't know anything.
that can just literally pull a tree with roots and all.
I mean, you know, you see the little alder growing out there.
You try to go and pull it out, you're not going to be able to do it.
While the howls and screams that have been heard throughout Alert Bay
could be dismissed as simply animal noises, you have to keep in mind that Cormoron Highland
is a location where there is no wildlife.
There's no bears, no cougars, not even any deer.
And while you could dismiss the noises, there have been plenty of sightings.
One person that's seen it, her father lives in Alert Bay, and she came up to
to visit her father. So she went up to the graveyard who, hey, respects the one of her family.
And when she went up to the graveyard, she's seen it standing there. She turned around and
she got out of there right away. She didn't even go to the graveyard.
And a more recent sighting when a group of teens were playing soccer near the band's big house.
A large upright creature moved quickly alongside the building in just a few strides.
Yeah, they took off right away. They don't even stay there anymore after the dark.
Tomorrow on CTV news, a visit to the island by renowned Sasquatch investigator John Bindernago,
talking with witnesses and looking for clues and will travel along.
Gord Curbis, CTV News, Alert Bay.
It looked like somebody was bent over and had their head in the window of the deer blind,
and it either heard me or smelt me, and he pulled his head out of the tent and stood straight up.
That shocked me.
They don't make people that big.
The way it moved,
almost as if it was gliding across the beach.
I've never seen anything moves like that in my life.
They were screaming at each other in gibberish.
It sounded like a language,
and they were chuntering away back and forwards, back and forth,
back and forwards, back and forwards.
I know what a bear looks like,
and there is no way on this planet
of what I saw were bears.
What are you reporting?
Jesus Christ, you better.
Care?
Get somebody out here.
What's going on now, sir?
That son of a bitch is about six foot nine, I don't know.
Do you see him now, sir?
Yes, I'm looking right in any.
Uh-uh.
Hello there.
I'm Richard Wall from Northern Ireland,
and I think Sasquatch Chronicles
is just bloody brilliant.
Welcome to the show, everyone.
Thanks for being here tonight.
Got a great show plan for you.
We're going to be chatting with Tim.
And two years ago, Tim and his wife were living in Canada.
And Tim and his wife both saw this creature on the side of the road.
I'll kind of let Tim go into it.
Last year, Tim and his wife were on vacation in North Carolina.
And they were renting a little cabin.
And Tim heard this at night.
Definitely a creepy audio.
If you've had an encounter and you'd like to be on the show, shoot me an email.
My email address is Wes at Sasquatch Chronicles.com.
And if you get a chance to check out Sasquatch Chronicles.com, you can become a member
and get additional shows.
Let's jump into it tonight.
I want to welcome Tim to the show.
Tim, thanks for coming on.
Oh, my pleasure, man.
This is, I've been a fan for a long time.
so I'm really happy to be here.
That's very kind to be, Tim.
I appreciate saying that.
I know two years ago, you and your wife were in Canada,
and you guys had this siding.
If you would, just start from the very beginning.
What were you guys doing and walk us into what happened?
Yeah, for sure.
So my wife and I were living in southern Ontario at the time.
And, you know, to give a little bit of a context,
we have two small rabbits.
who need a particular type of hay.
And, you know, our kind of story starts with the need to kind of fill their needs.
And due to my profession, I work kind of late and I have some odd hours.
And we had a friend that lived about 40 minutes south where we are in like a bit of a forested farm region.
And they were kind of the person who were giving us this particular hay that our rabbits needed.
and came to the time of the month where we needed to refill our supply,
and we decided to take a drive out one evening.
I remember it was a beautiful day.
I had to work a bit late, so we got going kind of around sundown,
and we were headed out and just gorgeous drive.
Got out, got the hay.
By the time we were there, it was getting dark, kind of clouding over a bit.
And it was around the time, if people from Southern Ontario,
are listening, like you know that part of fall where all the leaves have turned, but they're
still hanging on the trees. So the forests are still quite full, quite dense. You haven't really
gotten to the bare branches that we're used to seeing up here for the latter half of fall.
And yeah, we turned around and started driving back and we're heading through these country roads.
And we got to a certain point. It was rather dark and like I mentioned, it's clouded over at this
time and it was it was a night where there was no stars like it was by this time it was like
dark dark and you know for anyone who's kind of grown up in the country or lives in the
country like when you're on those country roads at night in the dark and there's no street
lights on those roads like it gets pitch black and one of the reasons why we didn't mind doing
these kind of drives at night we you know we do like to drive around and kind of like do
animal spotting and where this area was, you know, lots of deer, raccoon, skunk, fox coyote,
that kind of thing. So we're always pretty keen and aware of what we're looking at when we're
driving at night. And on the way back, we were going through these fields, those fielded areas,
and we came up to a point where the tree line was sort of getting closer to the road. And up
ahead, we spotted some eyeshine. And it was close to the ground. So immediately,
my mind starts going through all the possibilities, is the skunk, box, whatever.
And we're both on it immediately. Like, oh, hey, look, there's something up there.
This was probably about 100, 150 yards ahead of us. It was to my left at the side of the road.
And as we got closer, like, you know, you're traveling in a car. It only takes a moment.
Like the next thing we know, that eye shine that was close to the ground,
those eyes went up about seven being near.
And we both, I just remember, like, my brain stopped.
Like, I couldn't compute what I was seeing at that moment.
And before I could say anything to my wife,
what this thing did was turn.
And I could see at that moment, like,
there was like a tall black shape.
It bounded twice, like hopped.
And the closest thing I can think of is like a kangaroo.
And I say that because I'd spent a lot of time in Australia and I'd seen like these
giant kangaroos go hopping around out of the outback.
And my mind immediately went to, whoa, this is a kangaroo.
And it cleared this, it was actually at the end of like this sort of,
yard and it cleared this yard instantly and was just gone into the brush. We were just kind of
drove by in silence and then I looked at my wife and I said I think I just saw we just saw
I won't say here. I think we just saw a bleep and kangaroo and she's like how is that possible?
And I'm like I don't know but I'm probably stupid if if this had turned out any differently
but I turned the car around.
I'm like, we got to go see this.
And we spun around and kind of went by that area again.
This time was on our right real slow.
And it was long gone by this time.
But as we kind of approached back again,
there was that kind of weird sense of like,
what did we just see?
This isn't right.
There's something wrong here.
And after a few minutes or moments,
it felt like minutes,
but a few moments
just spun the car around and went back.
And, you know, like this sat with me.
I'm the type of person where if I experienced something,
like immediately my mind is going to try to justify
or correlate it to something that I know,
something that I have experienced,
something that is like I've seen out there in the world.
And it just couldn't do it.
It couldn't kind of like make the connection to anything aside from being a kangaroo,
which I know was impossible because this was even taller than like any kangaroo I've seen.
And I've seen some big ones.
Talking like I live in Australia, but it's true.
Like I've been there enough that I've seen these things and this was not that.
And obviously Canada does not have these.
There's no zoo here where these type of animals can escape from.
It was just there.
And it wasn't until a while later when, you know, I came across your show.
And I obviously had known about Sasquatch.
I've known about Bigfoot.
But like in my mind, those were always things that were very ape-like and didn't have like abilities, like to get that load of the ground or wasn't natural for them.
And I remember I came across the show where someone had talked about something similar,
where the eyeshine was close to the ground.
They saw something like on the ground and moving.
And that's when it hit me.
Like all of a sudden I was like, oh my gosh, like this, this is what I saw.
This is definitely, it was the shape that I saw was, it was more like a black mass when it was stood up straight.
And how it jumped and moved was so strange.
It was almost like it didn't move right, if you know what I mean.
Like you see people move, you see animals move, and there's like, I don't know, there's, there's like a familiarity to it.
And the way this moved was just off.
And I remember talking to my wife about that.
And, you know, we were, once I was like, hey, what do you think this actually was?
like I played her kind of some clips that we've been listening to and she's like, you know,
this is the only thing that would make sense.
You know, this is the only thing that I think that this could be is a Sasquatch.
And I feel, you know, as much as a believer as I am that these are out there when you actually
have an experience where you might have seen one, it just almost even feels strange saying
that you've seen one.
Yeah, I always say you can believe in Bigfoot all you want, but when you see one, it's completely different.
It's shocking, even though you believe in it.
I think the moment you see it, it's very shocking, and it makes me wonder what they're doing on the side of roads.
It seems like a lot of eyewitnesses report them kind of hanging out on the side of the road.
And I always wonder why, why are they hanging out on the side of the road?
I wanted to ask you about the eyeshine.
Do you remember what color the eye shine was?
Yeah, I do.
It was amber.
It was like, and not in a way where it was like glowing.
It wasn't like that.
I've heard stories where it sounds like it's glowing, but it definitely, it's like when the lights of the car hit it, it's like it was like this amber color.
And it retained that.
Like, you know, you know when you see a deer, their eyes hit your car light.
and, you know, they may flinch or look or blink and, like, you can see it in the eyes.
This didn't blink.
This didn't blink once.
Like, those eyes were locked on us from ground up until when it stood up.
And that's what kind of, like, gave me that freaked out, eerie feeling as well.
It's like, this is staring at us.
It's not losing us until it turns to jump.
and it jumped two quick hops gone into the trees.
And that's the thing that kind of threw me off too is like a lot of times when, you know,
you're out on the road at night, you see an animal.
Like they don't just go into flight mode like that.
It's almost like it didn't want us to see it.
It didn't want us to get closer.
It was on us.
looking at us, standing up, and then gone.
Yeah, very predator-like, not taking its eyes off of you.
Were the eyes big?
You know, they weren't like abnormally big.
Like, once again, from about 100, 150 yards off,
like they were low to the ground.
So instantly that shine hits.
And once again, my mind's trying to rationalize what it was at this time,
like something that low fox potential.
skunk, but like, they weren't massive eyes.
You know, I would say they were probably quite, even like for the size of what it was when it stood up, it was probably quite proportional, you know, maybe to like just a human's eyes overall.
But it just it just had that like they were almost like perfect circles in a way as well.
Like that's a weird thing.
It's just like just spot on perfect, I don't say glowing, but shining circles, you know.
And I realize all of this is happening very, very quickly, but this thing stands up and you guys are looking at each other as you're slowly passing by.
I realize it's probably an outline that you're seeing.
But as you guys pass by and it is looking at you, then it turns and it leaps off.
The outline that you saw was it manlike?
what? Like, it's so hard to say because it was so dark in my mind because I was trying to rationalize.
I was thinking kangaroo, as crazy as it sounds. But like when it had that shape of like something massive.
Like you could see there was those like the shoulders moving as it's turning. And in that sort of muscular movement of like,
it turning, I couldn't tell you what the backside turned like, because once the eye shine was
away, it's almost like it was so dark that it was blending in with the environment there.
Like our headlights, the way the road was kind of curving, was barely hitting it.
And it was just movement, this big shape, moving, hopping, and then gone.
And it was, the legs were something that threw me off because that was something that looked a little bit more defined than the upper parts of the body, like the up than the torso.
And to me, it looked like the hips were positioned in a little bit of a different way.
It looked like they were kind of, I guess, like, how to put this, you know how like a baseball game?
catcher could kind of square out his hips a little bit.
They looked a little bit like that on the turn, and then it was hop, hop, gone.
And it was such a bizarre thing that, you know, when you're kind of like going through a moment
and like time feels like it's slowing down and like your senses are heightened, your adrenaline's
running, and like the mind is trying to catch up to what the body is experiencing, that's
the best sort of explanation.
I can even feel in that memory, like my foot coming off the gas, us coasting by, it's just sort of like mouth agape and then stopping up ahead and kind of like circling back around.
But it was such like a bizarre moment that it just felt like everything around me was like standing still in a way.
Yeah, I find the roadside encounter is very fascinating because I don't really know why they hang out.
on the side of roads. But there's so many reports of them just kind of lingering around on the side of
roads. Sometimes they'll get, they'll get balsy and stand up and walk in front of a car right before it
goes by, which I find strange. And believe it or not, I get a ton of reports out of Ontario.
Everyone thinks British Columbia, but I do get a lot of, and don't get me wrong, British Columbia
has a ton of reports. But I've been getting a lot of reports lately.
especially from Ontario.
And with your sighting, you know, I just don't know why they hang out, why they linger on the side of the road.
It's bizarre to me.
Yeah.
And the thing is, too, is like this area that we were going through is very, very sparsely populated.
Like, there's farms.
And when I say this, like, it's not just, like, crop farms.
Like, there's a lot of, like, goat farms out that way.
I know that there's a lot of places that have chickens.
And like small places too.
So it would be like an ideal sort of place for, you know, them to prey upon certain things if they so choose to.
Because there's very little out that way, you know, aside from the occasional farmhouse on these roads.
And before we talk about this incident that happened two years later in North Carolina, with this roadside siding, what did your wife say?
you know she's she's pretty awesome and like the first sort of moment that it happened
it's like she was i remember her being very quiet and i was like i think we saw a bleeping kangaroo
and she's like there's no kangaroos out here you know like obviously like wake up man um
but when we did kind of come around and talk to it and talk about it and you know it was something
that, you know, she doesn't kind of like, I guess, have like the sort of belief that I do, but
she did recognize.
She's like, yeah, you know, this, I do think it was Sasquatch.
It's funny.
She thinks, like, now, especially after the event that happened last year, is sort of like, I guess,
a bit of a bit of a more avid researcher at this moment, you know, where I say she isn't,
but she definitely believes that they exist in their route there.
If you would, tell me what happened a year ago in North Carolina.
What were you guys doing and what happened?
Yeah, I mean, this was something that, like, the last event was just sort of a little bit mind-blowing.
The thing that happened in North Carolina was actually something that was a little bit traumatizing to me.
it's sort of weird to say that and you know
like I can feel the emotion behind it even now
but like we'd gone down for a bit of a staycation
we were you know
for for what I do I can kind of be a little bit flexible
and where I'm working when I'm working kind of thing
and being in the Appalachia's was something that my wife
had always wanted to experience it was like a lifelong dream
and May is a beautiful time
being the Appalachians, especially in North Carolina.
So we had
down, we actually had a friend down there
that we're going to visit as well, and
then we were going to swing up to
Asheville and kind of hang
out closer into the
Appalachas and do hiking
and, you know, spend some time
getting back to some
real remote
nature. And
the place we were staying there was
actually,
it's the front of the house,
there was, you know, at the immediate front, there was a little country road.
And, you know, have you ever been out to Asheville Way in North Carolina?
I haven't. I've heard North Carolina it's beautiful, but I've never been out that way.
Oh, man, you would love it. It's beautiful. It's the people are awesome.
And it's really, really raw, almost like, you know, nature the way it was,
hundreds of years ago when you're in those mountains.
And anyways, the road that we were on,
directly across the road, there was this little kind of bushway,
which led up into these trees.
And, you know, there were still, there's still a few houses on this road.
And, you know, it was up on a bit of a hill.
But it was lovely, lovely.
And in the day, like, there was all these wonderful, like,
noises you'd hear coming from the bush, birds, you know, springtime. And, you know, I thought it was
idyllic. And then we come to this one night. And, you know, if people remember May of last year,
there was a rare lunar eclipse that the East Coast could see where, as it was happening, it turned
into what they call a blood moon lunar eclipse, where the moon would turn crimson color. And it was
happening quite late at night.
And my wife and I were
out on the back deck
and we were just watching.
It was a beautiful, warm
night, and we're watching this happen.
And, you know, it was getting
rather late and, you know,
the, the eclipse peaked
and we were kind of at a part where
we wanted to go to bed. And
it just felt like it was time.
It felt like, you know,
we'd seen as much we could of the eclipse.
and we were about to head in, and I should mention too at this time, we were doing some pet sitting.
So there was a little cat we were looking after who was also out that night and kind of roaming free.
And as we're heading to bed, we heard this scream.
And it was like something that when you heard, your stomach drops out, you know,
you're that feeling when you're on a roller coaster, when that first drop hits, it's like, that's how it made me feel.
It was like this how scream, and it was coming from towards the front of the house where the bushway was leading up into the trees.
And we heard it.
And I remember looking at her and thinking like, hey, what was that?
And, you know, I remember us both kind of brushing it off at first, and then it happens again.
And again, and we're feeling uneasy at this time.
And we head inside, and the cat's still out there at this moment.
And in my head, at this time, it's interesting because I had heard something similar to this in a Sasquatch related.
believe it or not, news report up here in Canada.
And I remember to this day, it was a news report that came from Vancouver Island,
where one of the indigenous tribes had recorded a similar screen.
And immediately my head's like, oh, man, like, this is something that's not of this world right now that I'm hearing.
And it kept on going and going.
And I think probably because my interest were fixed.
was greater than my wife's shoot she was ready to go to bed and I I was feeling very off so
the bedroom that we were staying was at the front of the house and the window was once again
positioned towards that open bushway leading into the the trees this just went on for a while
I felt honestly it felt like hours but I think it probably maybe 10 15 minutes it was it was
screaming just in it not like
consistently. You go. It was like this scream howl. And then there'd be a period of time without it.
And then it would go again. And my wife's out cold. I'm lying in bed. Really shook and up.
And then once it stopped, I was relieved, but only for a moment. Because shortly after that,
and I know this sounds nuts, but I felt like something was looking to,
the window at me. Sorry, I can feel myself shook it up right now. Because it also, like,
it ties to something, like, I don't know why, for some reason, as a youth, even before I was really
into or interested or knew about what Bigfoot was. I had this irrational fear that I lived out
in the country as well as a kid. Like, it was, you know, town of like 800 people. We were
out there. I had this irrational fear.
that if I looked out my window at night, there'd be a saskwash.
They were ready to steal me.
And so I would never would.
And all of a sudden, this came back up that night.
And it wasn't just something that was in my brain, because it almost felt like there was
something there in this craziest as this sounds.
Like, it knew, I knew that it was there.
And I don't know what that is or what that means.
But it just felt horrible.
And I didn't sleep a wink.
I didn't move a muscle.
And I was just laying there.
I remember like I was sweating bullets too because I was so filled with anxiety and worry.
And I wasn't until about 4.30 in the morning when all of a sudden, boom, it was gone.
Just that feeling was gone.
And then I felt good.
I was like, oh, wow, this anxiety is lifted off my chest.
This feeling of being watched is gone.
And about 20 minutes after that, the cat came back.
Man, I talked to my wife the next morning.
She woke up.
How did you sleep?
I didn't sleep at all.
And we'd be talked about that.
And she's like, oh, yeah.
What we were hearing was not something normal.
Like she knew it.
She was just able to sleep.
And for some reason, it's just, I felt like there was some sort of, I don't know if it was had to do with the lunar eclipse, the blood moon aspect of it, but like something was out in that bush, man, and something new that I knew that it was out there.
As crazy as that sounds.
And, you know, if you've ever heard, like, I know you have heard, like the recordings of those screens, it was,
very, very similar to, you know, things that I've heard on this show, things that I've seen
other people post online. And it's terrifying. Like, I don't know if I would ever want to
be in a position where I'm hearing that all night again. Yeah, I know that at the beginning
of the show, I played a audio clip from British Columbia. The one that made the news that
that closely describes to what you had heard that day, Tim, you had sent to me.
This is from northwestern Ontario, and he said this is pretty close to what you heard.
Let's take a listen.
He and his wife and grandson first heard that howl when they were walking back to their car at the end of the trail along the Vermillion River,
about 45 minutes from the town of Sioux Lookout.
Initially, Mekis thought it was a moose or a bear, but the experienced hunter quickly realized that it was a sound he's not familiar with.
Mekas posted two videos on YouTube where they have since gone viral racking up two million views.
Bigfoot, Sasquatch, a wolf.
Mika says we may never know.
Geez, man.
No wonder why you're on high alert all night.
I would have been too.
You know, I interviewed this gentleman, Matt, I believe it was 947, the Mississippi creature.
And everyone in the family, when he was growing up on this property, everyone in the family had seen the creature.
and even Matt ended up seeing it, it was eating plums.
He was with his sister.
I think he was like six or seven when he saw it.
But prior to seeing this creature, Matt's mother told him when he was very young that he was always scared of the window in his room.
He was terrified of this window in his room.
And he would do everything he could to avoid walking in front of the window.
He was just terrified of it.
And he never really.
and when I asked him, I said, you know, did you see the creature come up to your window?
Is that why you were scared of it?
And he doesn't recall ever seeing the creature come up to his window.
But he has a very vivid memory, and even his family collaborates what he's, his fear, that he was terrified of this window.
And in your situation, it makes me wonder, you know, you being out in their country if you guys had these things on your property.
you know that's a really good man that like that kind of blew my mind just now in a way because we
on property we had a ton of fruit trees like we had plum trees apple trees pear trees we had a
grapevine you know we're on we were on three acres of property that backed onto a woods where a stream
ran through and you know my mom used to tell me like as a kid I was afraid of the window at night
I would crawl if I had to go from the living room to the kitchen to get a glass of water our living
room was, you know, big, big windows kind of looking out over the property. It was like a
sloping hill, which kind of led to the creek that passed through. She said I would crawl.
Like, I'd crawl under the windows, as if, like, ducking whatever was out there, the water,
crawl back with the water in hand to where everyone was sitting. So, yeah, that, and I don't know
if I want to know kind of thing, you know. But I definitely feel that when you say that.
Yeah, Tim, it made me really think of Matt in that episode 947. It's a fascinating account.
I mean, everyone in the family had seen this creature and I had gone back for many years of people
running into it. And when Matt had talked about being terrified of the window, but he didn't know
why. He doesn't recall the creature ever coming up to his window. But he,
remembers being terrified of this window.
And it makes me wonder what was going on at your place.
The audio that I just played, a lot of people will describe that as like the lion's roar.
And it's very intense when you hear it, especially if you're close.
It will put you on high alert.
And I've heard that before.
I think what I heard was a little bit deeper, but I'm trying to go off of someone's
recording and what I heard in person.
And, but either way, you know, there's, if you take Sasquatch out of the equation, I don't know what's making that noise.
And even in that recording, it's pretty loud.
No wonder why you didn't sleep all night.
You know, like I said before, I don't think I would have either.
You know, after these two experiences, you know, where you heard this vocalization and then you and your wife had seen the creature on the side of the road, I'm curious from what you think it is.
I ask everyone on the show, what do you think Sasquatch is?
And obviously there's no wrong answer.
But what are your thoughts?
What do you think it is, Tim?
Oh, man, you know, and that's such a good question because, you know, until we actually know, we don't.
And in my mind, if I was going on my gut instinct, I don't think this is anything good.
I really don't.
I really think that there is something that, you know, it's, in my mind, it's, it's, it's,
physical, it's there. I know there are some supernatural attributes that people have seen and felt with it.
But at the same time, I don't think it is a natural animal. And once again, I don't want to be crazy here.
But I feel there's something quite demonic about it. I really do. I feel like there's something that,
you know, us as a human species, we've become so modernized to a certain point where we've removed our
from a lot of the ancient beliefs and stories that we used to have where there was like
still evil roaming this earth.
And in my mind, I think that that is the case.
Like, I don't think this is, it's not like a grizzly bear or like some natural predator
that is part of the food chain.
I think there is something quite, quite dark that is inherently a part of this phenomena
and these creatures.
Yeah, I'm curious.
why you feel that way, you know, as opposed to saying it's just a non-human primate we haven't
caught up with that it's something darker. I'm curious why you feel that way, not that I don't
necessarily disagree with you. Yeah, and I think it's this idea of like you see a black bear in the
woods and you know it can kill you. You know it has the possibility to do some great damage
to you, but at the same time, there's not that deep, like, horrifying fear that I've felt
that one night in North Carolina.
You know, and I've seen a lot of black bear.
You know, I haven't seen a grizzly bear, but I've heard that that's a different experience
as well because there's a different vibe when you see that guy coming down the path at you.
But in my mind, it's still an animal.
It's still something that you feel.
is a part of the proper food chain that is in nature,
I just felt like so much, I guess terror when it came to this,
that it didn't feel like there's any good here in any natural way.
And I don't want to kind of like just lump this into the supernatural.
I just feel like humans have a lot of senses that we don't recognize
as well. And I think part of that you meet someone for the first time. You inherently know if they're
a decent person or if they're not a good person. Like there's something in you that is like,
I don't think I want to hang out with that person again or, you know, oh man, that person just
lights up my day whenever I see them. Even if it's a quick hello. And I feel like we still have
that ability to apply that to anything around us. And what the vibe that I got was, this is not
anything good. This is nothing that you would ever want to, and I know people out there actively,
like, I got to see this, I got to find this, but I don't think this is anything you would actively
want to mess with if you really knew what they were. Yeah, I think I understand where you're coming
from, Tim, and, you know, the noise that you heard, I mean, when you hear the vocal, the way these
things vocalize, there's something not quite right. There's something off about this. The way they
vocalized. Everything about the subject, there's something very strange here going on.
And, you know, when you hear like a fox, for example, foxes make weird noises.
They'll chatter. It sounds like gibberish. It sounds like they're chattering back and forth.
I wouldn't say that's strange. Well, I would say it's a little strange, but it sounds natural when
you hear it. It's not like, oh, wow, that's bizarre. I don't know what that is.
even if you didn't know it was a fox, you would still go, you know, that sounds like some natural animal making that noise.
And when you hear Claire in the intro talking and I plug in some of these Sierra sounds, there's something not quite right about the Sierra sounds.
There's something off.
And even the vocalizations I've played on the show tonight, there's something very strange about the way they vocalize.
And then when you get into people's encounters, there's a lot of bizarre things.
things that go on and encounters more than just running into a non-human primate. Some of the
stuff sounds very paranormal and the eyewitnesses are very consistent. It remind me a lot of the
feeling of it's more than just a feeling of being watched. There's something, I liken it to,
I went into a home one time that was haunted, poltergeist activity. The minute I walked into
that home, I mean, there was something wrong there. Something was off. There was something in that
home. And I knew it right. It's weird. I knew it right away. Like, I just had a really bad feeling
the moment I walked in that home. The whole time I was walking around, I felt like something was
like almost right in my face just staring at me. There was nothing there. I never saw anything.
It was until later I found out that there was poltergeist activity.
big-time poltergeist activity going on the home.
But I can tell you that feeling of walking into that home, the feeling I had that day
is very similar to when you run into Sasquatch.
What that means, I don't know.
Am I describing fear?
It's a little more than fear, I think.
You brought up like a bear or a cougar, you know, your normal wildlife.
They do their thing.
They're very dangerous.
Would I say that's evil?
Would I say there's something very dark here going on?
No, not really.
You're dealing with a wild animal.
With these things, I feel like there's more to it.
There's something else going on here.
No one can never quite catch up with it.
And it reminds me a lot of, you know, like these ghost shows, these ghost hunters,
they never quite catch up with a ghost or like UFO guys.
They never quite catch up with the aliens.
Sasquatch.
They never quite catch up.
with this creature, no one can seem to find it. It's strange. It's weird. I tend to think there's
something more going on here, too, than just a wild animal we haven't caught up with. I guess I'm
agreeing with you on this, Tim, because there is something very strange here going on. But I really
appreciate you taking the time to come on and share your accounts. I enjoy chatting with you, Tim.
well listen thank you so much like honestly i know no i mentioned this earlier to you but like
everything that you're doing how you're approaching talking about this in a way where other people
feel open to share their experiences i think it's really important you know i think it's really
important for us to kind of like even if we can't put our finger on it at least you know be able to
kind of share our experiences without you know ridicule or you know having having a place where other
people have like been through these things and at least being
able to have an open discourse, I think is wonderful. So honestly, Wes, thank you, man, for everything
you're doing. It's very kind of you, Tim. Thank you again. And that's it for tonight. Everyone,
remember, if you've had an encounter, shoot me an email. My email address is Wes at
at Sasquashch Chronicles.com. And if you get a chance to check out Sasquatch Chronicles.com,
you can become a member and get additional shows. Until next time, everyone.
