The internet has billions of websites, and most are forgotten just as quickly as they are created. People move on, accounts get deleted, and entire communities slowly fade away without anyone noticing. But not all of them. Every now and then, someone stumbles across one of these forgotten corners and uncover something they wish they'd never found. From a blog that documented one woman's horrifying downward spiral to a community filled with people sharing thoughts no one should ever have. Today, we are getting into some terrifying corners of the internet. And also make sure to like the video and subscribe to the channel. And let's get into it.

Let duty guide me. There are plenty of seemingly random accounts floating out on the internet, ones that haven't been used and used. years. Usually it's because whoever was posting got bored, got busy, or they decided to post different content somewhere else. Most people would think nothing of it and move on with their day. But what if it's not nothing? What if there's more to it than someone who just got busy? What if this person became literally unable to post no matter how much they wanted to? This was the case for the YouTube channel and Tumblr blog run by Lindsay Savanerath, a 34-year-old woman from the suburbs of Chicago.

Her channel was called Let Duty Guide Me, and it posted two things, streams of her playing an RPG video game, and music from a band called Battalion 88. At first, this all seems normal. She has 18 videos of her. her playing the RPG game, all from 2014, which at that point she was 22 years old. While we can't see her face in these, her voiceover sounds like an average young woman who's enjoying her free time, but the comments give a different impression, specifically this one.

It reads, they should let her do these in prison, on an offline computer, record the video, then the prison uploads it for her, then garnish all the YouTube revenue. All of a sudden, this Innocent Gaming Channel looks to be something completely different. And that it is, because when looking up the music that she's uploading, I found that it's not her originals, but actually re-uploads of an established band that's a part of a genre called National Socialist Black Metal, which is just a fancier way of referring to music groups who consider themselves members of the German hate group. I'm sure you guys know them.

And make metal music about that. This is who Lindsay is posting. This is the band that she is so clearly a huge fan of, which raises the question. Is that who Lindsay really is? As we'll find out, she's that and so much more. But she didn't start out that way. She actually comes from a really happy childhood. She had two older siblings, her parents were still together, and they were all a close-knit

family. As she got older, she began to develop hobbies like reading and writing, especially as she discovered Harry Potter. Her first stories were in the same vein as that. Fantasy and magic-related things. Lindsay had a wild imagination. A wild imagination that sometimes went too far. It began to spiral into something darker when she moved to a new town at around the third or fourth grade.

In her old school, she had been one of the smartest kids in her class, as well as pretty popular. She had lots of friends, got along with the teachers, and was really enjoying life. But moving, while tough for anyone, was particularly difficult for her. She had to start over, make new friends, and as she got older, this became more and more difficult, which eventually led to her focusing more on relationships that she could build online, instead of with people face-to-face. And it was then that she became less interested in writing about magic and more about things that were depressing, bleak, and sometimes even gruesome.

One example is a story called Calm Resurrection, which follows a man who comes across someone who just committed Sward, and despite the condition of the body, he falls in love with them. It's not for the faint of heart. Its details are explicit. It's a story that shows how much Lindsay is clearly obsessed with death and its morbidity. It's at this point that bands like Battalion 88 start to become an interest for her. the music, along with everything they stand for. She got introduced to it after connecting to strangers on the internet, who felt the same way as the heavy metal band. And in her new friendships, she realized she actually agreed with them. She says,

My beliefs, they come from a very strong sense of what is right and what is wrong in the world. I am not in this to promote myself because that is not what politics is. or it is about how the world should work, not about what would benefit me. This wasn't something she was raised with. In fact, Lindsay is actually Asian American as her father is from Laos. But that didn't stop her from forming her ideas

on how the world should work. Ideas which led her even further down this very dark path, eventually to create the Tumblr blog that I mentioned earlier. While a lot of the blog were reposts, the scary part of it was the account name. While I can't say it here, it was essentially mass killer chick, with a bio that says, just my personal aesthetic. But people would soon find out that it was much more than just an aesthetic. The social outcasting, horrifying creative writing projects, and internet friendship,

with nationalists, all boiled up into a storm of dark energy that had nowhere to go. That is, until she met someone else that felt the same way. Someone else who was interested in creating these same dark stories, except this time, not on paper. This person was James Gamble. James was a local to Halifax, Nova Scotia, but like most of her friends, he met Lindsay online through a video game. The two instantly connected.

They held the same political beliefs and were also interested in things like Columbine and other horrific events. Eventually, they formed a romantic relationship and as they got closer and closer and learned more about each other, a plan started to form. It all began when they realized

the two liked to dress very similarly. Both Lindsay and James liked wearing dark, intimidating clothes that would freak out the people around them. When they started to plan to meet in person, Lindsay thought it would be a great idea to plan on going somewhere public with the both of them wearing this type of clothing. That way, they could get the double amounts of scared looks. The plan was not well-intentioned, but harmless nonetheless, which wasn't. enough for the two of them.

Lindsay and James both spent hours, days and weeks, cooped up in their room and not talking to anyone in the real world, someone that wasn't on a website or a video game. Their entire world existed online, and primarily in dark spaces on the internet. So by the time the two of them had found each other, they were bored. They had pent up energy.

They wanted to go out and experience the real world, world, but more importantly, they experienced the twisted fantasies that have been playing out in their mind, and wearing all black wasn't going to cut it for their first time doing so. So they began to plan something similar to Columbine and the hundreds of other devastating attacks that flood the news. Lindsay even compares them to the infamous killers from that day. She said, quote, we were kind of like Eric Harris and Dylan Claybold. And in some respects, I would be Eric Harris and James was like Dylan Claybold.

And we thought we were actually them somehow. Not exactly reincarnations, but more like their spirits had found their way to us, and that we were them. And so, with the spirits of Eric and Dylan, they decided that on February 14, 2015, they would enter the Halifax Shopping Center and copycat the murders that have been done by those very people. They had three weapons,

and they planned on using them to kill as many people as they could see. By the end of it, they intended on Lindsay getting life in prison and James committing S-word, which was exactly what happened. But not in the way everyone may think, Because on her Tumblr blog, Lindsay posted what looks like almost a movie poster for a horror film. But it wasn't. Instead, it was essentially advertising material for her and James Plan for Valentine's Day that year. It was uploaded on February 11th, and by the 13th, police

were storming down the doors of both of their homes. Someone had seen the post and gave a tip to law enforcement because it looked so concerning. And thank God they did. It gave just enough time that they could catch Lindsay before she arrived at James House. She had just landed at the Halifax Airport when she was caught and brought into questioning. At the same time, they were searching James House. He had been aware that the police had caught on and were en route to him. With that knowledge, she gave up on the mass attack, but it was set on dying. He made sure he wasn't there when the cops arrived, and so James committed S-word. But Lindsay was and still alive.

Well, in a jail cell, that is. After being questioned and then convicted, she got a life sentence for conspiracy of murder. She's since been a guest on a podcast called The Canadian Gothic, where she goes in depth on what exactly she had planned and her thought process behind it. But at no point does she show any remorse, which is most likely why she was denied parole in August of 2025. And so, as she rots away in prison for the next 60 to 70 years, her digital footprint will remain as a trail that ended abruptly. Her channel and blog are frozen in time, as well as her fictional stories and every horrific online conversation she had.

All that remains is a screenshot of the awful things she believed and felt, and a memory of the horrors that could have been. R-slash, I hate kids. Reddit is full of users who absolutely, under no circumstances, do not want children. While this may sound random, communities of these people can be quite busy, like subredits child-free and R-slash anti-natalism. It's there that people who do not have and do not ever want children as R-slash-child-free describes itself can come together. Society, of course, normalizes and expects people to grow up and eventually have kids, so it makes sense that people who do not want that need a place to vent. Say whatever they think and feel like they're not an outcast.

These subredits can be pretty controversial. There's even users that have created opposing communities like R-slash child-free sucks. The problem that people have looks to be less about the idea and act of being child-free and more so the language that some have when they do so. As one user comments, The only child-free people who make me mad are the ones who call children crotch-free. Goblins or parents breeders or the ones who say having kids is inherently selfish or whatever. Well, if you thought Crotch Goblin wasn't that bad, some posts take it even further.

One is titled, A Wild Herd of Hellspawn just moved in across the street and won't shut up. They're talking about them as if they're animals, which is just weird. But Child Free lets this sort of thing get posted over and over again. And while it does get a ton of backlash, it still remains a popular subreddit with 260,000 weekly visitors, no matter how many people hate it. But what those very people may not know is that there's something much worse out there, much, much worse. Welcome to R-slash, I Hate Kids.

It was created on June 8, 2012. It was created three years after the inception of R-slash-child. free, but it started out pretty similar. However, there was a reason that someone felt like they needed a new community distinct from the original, because posts will go from things like, too bad a lot of these gremlins running around our mistakes due to the fact that people are idiots and figured it would be all right not pulling out. Do you ever regret going through with pregnancy?

Two, my stupid neighbor's worthless baby woke me up last night screaming its head off. I swear to God, if it happens again, I'm barging in that damn apartment and throwing off their balcony in front of him. I literally can't express how much I want it to die. I mean, that last post just passed my jaw wide open. It makes the term crotch goblin sound like a lullaby. And it only gets more terrifying. Cue the insane comments. I would torture it, then kill it.

and let my dog eat it in front of them. And another user says, I absolutely loathe babies. I completely understand what you mean, O, P. When I hear a baby cry, it ignites a rage in me I can nearly not contain. Screw that gross, gooey, soft-headed, crotch goblin.

And someone else says, damn, you're wild with a laughing face emoji. That last comment actually may be the most disturbing because of how scary it is that someone would laugh off of what the OPE is saying. It's not just a person behind a computer screen that's just saying stuff just to say it. It's someone who's so angry that they needed to get on Reddit to vent about how much they want to hurt a baby. Some users who are more emotionally regulated act as a voice of reason in the comments.

They tell them to just move out while also reminding an end. everyone of the guidelines for the community, which says, quote, apparently parents don't like anyone else yelling at their brats, so feel free to vent here about how much you hate kids. That being said, keep it PC, no kids, being hurt, etc., in a funny place to venture frustrations. But that doesn't stop people who are just like the last OP from posting their enraged and psychotic thoughts, urges, and even actions.

On September 2nd, 2021, there's this post that was uploaded. Have you ever kicked a child? I did it. It was so annoying. And there was a crowd. I kicked it and it fell. Luckily, their mother didn't see it. But still, it was funny.

And of course, the comments are half filled with people who feel the same way or even worse. Others who answer, yes, and give you. their own similar story. It's horrific, but the worst one yet is this, which reads, My boyfriend's kids are garden gnomes. I hate my boyfriend's kids. They are foul, ugly, wretched little trolls. I'm pretty sure the oldest is Jeffrey Dahmer reincarnated. He even kind of looks like him. He never talks. He just blankly stares at me like a total weirdo. I'm pretty sure he's planning to chop me up into tiny pieces and boil me. The middle kid looks like a Halloween pumpkin that was left out until Christmas.

It's actually kind of impressive how ugly this kid is. I can't even look at him. He looks like the missing link, like he didn't evolve all the way. And he's just as dumb as he is ugly. I've legit never heard anything interesting or intelligent come out of his slug-like mouth. He also holds his utensils like a toddler, and he's in high school. His youngest, ugh. She's the worst.

She is a whiny, sullen, spoiled brat. She's the mean girl in middle school that made all of our lives hell. She's absolutely awful. She changes between crying and guilt-tripping, her dad into buying her things because mommy and daddy aren't together anymore, and being a vile, vicious brat to anyone within arm's reach. These kids have no redeeming qualities, like zero. They aren't funny. They aren't smart. They aren't talented. They don't know anything and they don't have any interests besides YouTube. They sit and stare at their phones all day. And it's appalling how stupid they are since Google is

literally right in front of their faces. I avoid going out in public with my boyfriend and his kids when they are at our house because I don't want anyone to think these no talent clowns are my kids. They absolutely disgust me. I'm embarrassed to be seen with them. I hate them. And I actually get a sick pleasure of the fact I know they hate me too. Me and my boyfriend fight constantly about them. He plays Disneyland dad with them.

And I've literally never heard him discipline any of them in three years. They slam doors. the bathroom and smell like Satan's asshole. They whine. They make ridiculous demands. Think that little brat from Charlie in the chocolate factory. Daddy, I want a pony. When they do talk, I swear to God, my IQ drops 50 points. I'm miserable in my own home when they are there. I take extra shifts at my job on the weekends they are there. And I've actually rented a hotel a few times on the weekends with us because the thought of having to look at and listen to these no-talent short-buss garden gnomes physically makes me ill. It's becoming a deal-breaker. I'm sick of them. They make me want to

rip my own uterus out. I've thought about just breaking up with him because the idea of spending one more second with the moldy potato gang is getting to be too much to handle. Thanks for letting me vent. I hate kids. It gets worse, the more it drags on. Just when I think she can't possibly have more to say, she finds another reason to despise these poor kids. What feels so terrifying about it is how much time she not only spends with them, but how much of that time is spent hating them, watching their every move, and the more that they just exist, she hates them even more, wanting them to go away every single moment she's with them. That along with the pattern of how violent these users tend to be is honestly scary.

What she should do is break up with her boyfriend and find someone that doesn't have children. Instead of letting these feelings fester and grow until she eventually explodes. And it's not just her. Everyone who feels that way should help and figure out why they feel so strongly about this. But until then, they should just avoid children at all costs. But we'll never know what exactly happened to users of I Hate Kids. Because its last post ever was on September 22nd, 2021. Since then, it's been nothing.

And now it only gets 37 weekly visitors. Some people who felt more mildly may have gone over to child-free, where they weren't subjected to such intense postings. But for the people who did feel so strongly, I don't know. I can't seem to find other subredits that are any. like I hate kids. So it seems like these people just disappeared. The community is still up.

It hasn't gotten banned. It just exists quietly, with no one touching it. And while it's a mystery as to why, it's a relief. No one needed to hear any more of what most users on there had to say. And hopefully, they aren't saying it anywhere else. Not on the internet. Not to their friends. And God forbid, not in person with kids.

and their parents, and hopefully they just got the help they need. Coldness in my heart. There are some things on the internet that stick around more than others. Even when posts get deleted, accounts deactivated, and people stop commenting, it doesn't really leave. People often say, what goes on the internet stays on the internet. And while this may be an exaggeration for an embarrassing video that only five of your friends saw, it's not at all for other things because sometimes things get posted that are so terrifying, so morbid, and so sad that no one will ever forget it.

Even when more than a decade passes, some usernames will live on forever. On June 3rd, 2026, a Tumblr user by the name of Ghost Puppy said, thinking about coldness in my heart today, which may sound like nothing to many viewers, but to people that know who she's referring to, it can be a reminder of the most horrifying story they saw play out on the internet in 2013.

The story of coldness in my heart. It was a Tumblr blog, run by a young woman, the internet believes to be named Joan. Her name was never actually proven, but that's how many refer to her. This online diary focused on one thing and one thing only, a documentation of how she was doing, damaging things to herself. This wasn't and is still not a new thing for the internet to witness, especially not. Tumblr in its earlier years.

The site is often known for its lack of censorship and frequent uploads of graphic content. Many users take it as an opportunity to post things similar to the nature of what Joan was posting. They most likely find it to be cathartic in a way, or even as a way to cry out for help. Because while there are many reasons why someone would do such things to themselves, It's safe to say they were never in a positive, stable, or healthy state of mind. And because of that, it sometimes felt like the only solution or way to make themselves feel better was to do horrible things to their body.

And while Joan shared in the struggle that so many others did, she was still different. She didn't cope like the others. The ways in which she did things to herself seem to be not enough. She needed something more, something bigger than pain. Joan wanted agony. She wanted torture. And so that was what she did to herself. All of the original pictures and posts have since been taken.

taken down along with any account she's ever made. But like I said in the beginning of this case, this wasn't something that was going to easily leave the internet. There are many users that saved every image she ever uploaded and have since reposed it themselves. I will not show any of the photos from Joan, but even if I could, most viewers wouldn't want to see it. What she did was so much more intense than other photos one might come across in such a community. Of course, anything posed along this line is terrible, and it's awful that anyone would be in so much mental pain that they feel they have to express it physically, which, thinking about it like that, Joan must have been an extreme internal pain. Torment might be a better word to describe it,

but honestly, the photos are the best way to get the full picture. But for people who don't want to look them up and do not look them up, and I will try and describe them as best as I can without it being too gruesome, but I won't really describe them. I mean, it's just heartbreaking. But they're just beyond graphic. Some where Joan is attempting to sever a limb. and it's honestly she survived any of the attempts.

She clearly must have acquired knowledge on how to treat the wounds herself, especially after doing it so many times, which is just heartbreaking to imagine. She never really did share about what was going on inside or mentally, though. There aren't any posts that go in depth into what she was feeling, what she was thinking, or what led her to this point. There are only a couple short captions left on a post here and there, such as scars on my skin, scars on my heart, scars on my soul.

But besides that, no one really knew anything about her. Most things were speculated, like her name, as well as where she was from, which many believed to be Germany. The only other piece of information was that she had a boyfriend, which no one really knows much about either. There is a photo of him, along with a blog, possibly. run by him, but again, these are all theories. However, it may be the only clue as to where she went, because her time on Tumblr did not last long. The original blog, Coldness in my heart,

got taken down pretty quick. In response, she made two other accounts, which also got deleted. And as I said, Tumblr is known for its use of vulgar, explicit, and in this case, graphic content, as the site allows for pretty much anything, which goes to show how intense these pictures were that it was enough to get taken down, repeatedly. And after the third account was deleted, Joan gave up on making another one. She was done, well, done posting, that is. We don't actually know what happened to Joan, whether she stopped doing what she was doing or she just stopped telling the internet. No one really knows. But as I said, the blog site run by possibly her boyfriend may give some answers. On there are a couple of posts to him responding to questions about Joan. Someone says,

What happened to her? And in reply, I don't know, but I hope she has a good life. I really do. My heart is broken because I lost her. He doesn't give much information until another post sometime later that just says, All that I know, she is dead. I heard that from a friend of hers. This tragic ending would not be hard to believe,

unfortunately. But whether or not it's true is still up for debate. There's no proof that it's actually him, Joan's boyfriend. It's just the last thing we've heard regarding Joan.

But of course, it's not the ending we want. or the one that Joan deserves. It would be amazing if someone or Joan herself came forward, even 13 years later, to tell everyone that she actually got the help she deserves and hasn't done anything harmful since. But so far, that has yet to happen. All that remains are remnants of her posts,

bits and pieces of the struggle she faced for years on end, a select few that still think about her and wonder where she really is and hope that either way it's a better place. UFO evidence. Conspiracy theories have been around since the dawn of man. We now see them in explosions on the internet, something that divides two groups of people and leaves the comment section up in flames of arguments. But it's not just a trend or something that's popped up in the last couple of years. There are conspiracy theories that date back to BCE, in fact. Groups of people would argue whether or not the king was actually an imposter or his real self.

And this type of pattern would continue into the era after, then the era after that, until eventually reaching the point we are at now, where half of the internet is filled with conspiracies. But before people started to really take to Reddit, and then Facebook, and then TikTok, people created entire websites dedicated to what they believed in, even when it felt like most of the world was against them, and everyone thought they were crazy. They persevered.

One of those people is Robert L. Spearing, who created a site called UFO Evidence in 2003. UFO Evidence is a database of information on sightings, photos, and like it says, evidence of UFOs. It has five sections at the top of the website, each one bringing a visitor to a page that is dense with text. It's a lot to take in at once. The most interesting section is the report a siding one. Clicking it loads up a form that has a... asks roughly 50 questions about the siding.

Given that they require someone to film the form out so thoroughly, they want to make sure it's not someone either just seeing a shadow, a cloud, or someone just messing with them. It not only asks you, do you think your siding can be explained as being any conventional man-made or natural object, but also, what are your views on UFOs before and after your siding? Don't you wish you could just hit skip on the worst parts of your life? You know the same way you can skip an ad?

I get it. I'm Siaia and I live in Ice Cove. I've made some questionable decisions that didn't end up the way I planned. And today I'm still figuring it out. How much did you know or read about UFOs before your sighting? Which makes me think that they get a lot of submissions that either look fake or a well-intentioned fan that miss saw something. But even if that is the case most times, Robert and company still keep the site alive so that they can inform the public on what they believe in, which is that aliens exist. because the site is really a collection of articles, testimonies, and what they would consider, proof of that belief, but so far, everything honestly seems pretty tame.

It's nowhere near the extremity of some conspiracies we see nowadays, and besides, belief in aliens is far from rare. I wouldn't be surprised if millions of people agreed with what they're claiming. So, the question is, why has the site seemingly been abandoned. It was active for almost a decade, but before it hit that mark, it just stopped. Its last activity was in 2011, and then no new posts or sidings or anything since then. Nothing at all. But then something catches my eye, something that points at the site not being so mild after all, a section titled Government Coverup. This part begins with a

quote by a famous UFOologist named Dr. Stephen Greer. It says, Let me be clear. The entity which controls the UFO matter and its related technologies has more power than any single government in the world or any single identified world leader. It then dives into an overwhelming amount of information on things like the Majestic 12 and Project Blue Book,

both of which are government projects and documents that many UFO conspiracy theorists, such as the ones here, believe are proof of life outside Earth, but have been so covered up that the public can't access it. Majestic 12 is claimed to be an organization of military officials who were investigating and recovering alien spacecraft. However, this information comes from a set of classified documents which the FBI have done investigations on and concluded the entire thing was a hoax. and Project Blue Book, on the other hand, was a study done by the United States Air Force

that attempted to prove or disprove UFOs, as well as whether they were a safety risk to the U.S. What they came up with was not only anything they encountered not dangerous, but that, quote, there was no evidence indicating that sightings categorized as unidentified were extraterrestrial vehicles. All of this, the users of UFO siding, say, is just a cover-up, that the government is lying to us, and they'll never really tell us the truth.

But despite how convicted, passionate, and sure they are, the site still remains inactive. Maybe it's that after a while they got worn out from their beliefs and opinions being discredited again and again. We see the same thing happen nowadays. The more that a group of people claim the government is lying, the more crazy they look to the outside world. And maybe that image got too much for the owners of the site, leading them to eventually just discard the whole thing, or who knows, everything they wrote was true, as they tried to expose the deceptions of the government and powers in control.

They received backlash and possibly even warnings from those very groups. I'm not saying it's a likely case. I just find it creepy. the way that the site just stands still. It hasn't changed one bit in over a decade. It used to post submissions of sightings that it received, and it's hard to believe no one has filled out the form in 14 years, and with how much passion the site seemed to have,

it feels unlikely they just lost their motivation. Either way, all the information is still out there. Whether you think these people are crazy, mentally ill, or actually some of the only sane people to use the internet, it's all there. A deserted site of science fiction, paranoia, or maybe the truth. All left behind on UFO evidence. And all right, guys, that wraps up some terrifying corners of the internet. This video was heavy and dark, and yeah, like the title said, terrifying.
