On April 4th, 2023, around 2 in the morning, a man was found stabbed multiple times on a sidewalk in downtown San Francisco.
Hey, who did this to you?
What happened next turned the story into a political firestorm.
Reports have identified the victim as Bob Lee, the founder of Cash App.
From Bloomberg Podcasts, this is Foundering, the Killing of Bob Lee, beginning April 16.
Hello, everybody. If you're in the U.S., I hope you're enjoying your three-day weekend. If you're a Chelsea fan, I hope you're enjoying your European Championship.
Obviously, this is where I promise to share this week's Twitter space. It's a good one. The great Julia Alexander breaks down all the big moves recently in the streaming TV space.
And CNBC's Laura Kalladne does a deep dive on Tesla. But this episode is not here in this feed. It's in a different feed.
called Spacecasts, which you should be able to find if you search any podcast app. It's SpaceCasts,
all one word. Let me explain why SpaceCasts exist. The Clubhouse Rooms and Twitter spaces that
Chris Messina and I have been doing for what? Six months or so now, y'all seem to really like them.
They get like 25 to 30 percent more downloads than regular episodes do regularly. But as popular as they've been,
one complaint from day one has been, can you please put them in a separate feed? Which,
I get that. You use this feed to get your daily dose of news quick in and out. And the hour
and a half long Twitter spaces we do, they're sort of a different thing, right? So it's confusing
to have them in the same place, or it's annoying, or both. So first of all, from now on, we're going
to put all of the Twitter space episodes we do in this new Spacecasts feed. But that's not all,
we've also reached out to a bunch of other tech folks who have been doing clubhouse rooms and
Twitter spaces and we were like, hey, record your rooms and your spaces and just send us the audio.
We'll publish it to this feed along with our rooms and spaces.
So think of SpaceCass as a sort of creator collective, a co-op.
If you check the SpaceCast feed right now, not only will you hear our latest space,
but you'll hear other great spaces and rooms from the likes of Emil Protolinsky, Ken Young, Matt Navarra, Martin SFP Bryant, Brady Dale, a whole lot more. We're scheduled in coming days to have contributions from Alex Cantowitz, Pablo Stanley, Charles Pattinson, Nathan Batchez, and we're still in talks to hopefully get some spaces from Dan Fromer and Packing McCormick. As you can see from this list of creators, we're talking design, engineering, we're talking entrepreneurship, investment,
We're talking big tech economies, economics. We're talking crypto. In short, think of spacecasts as a big bag of
interesting topics related to the world of tech. So subscribe now to get, I don't know,
we'll find out soon for five great tech-related audio rooms a week and hopefully from more and more
voices over time. If you know folks who are doing clubhouse rooms or Twitter spaces,
tell them about this. We'll take contributions from just about anybody. But right now,
search your podcast app for spacecasts again all one word listen to our latest twitter space
and subscribe to the feed to get new tech conversations just like this multiple times a week
enjoy
