Hello
Hello and welcome back to No Bowles of Cooker Podcast with me Kate Cros and you, Alex Hartley,
and it is nearly time for the 100.
It's the 100 Eve, baby.
It could be 100 Day, it could be the day after the 100 starts.
Who knows, Henry Moran's a very busy man.
He's a very busy man.
We've not even told him we're doing this podcast right now.
We've forgot to ask for emails.
We've done a very quick plea on Instagram.
We're very sorry.
But yeah, happy 100 Eve.
And happy drawn Ashie's Day.
Happy drawing ashes day
Al
You tell me how
A washes and a
mashes can mirror each other
So similarly
I know that's what a mirror does
That it's like the exact same story
Done in two series in the same summer
With men and women
I don't understand
I do
And I know I know why
I know why it's happened
Because my two favourite people
One of them in the mashes
One in the washes
You Kate Cross in the Washes
Stuart Broader the Mashes
Is that why just us two
Just steward
Wait, wait, wait
How are you?
I'm good, thank you
I'm in fact, right, okay
I am good, yeah, I'm good
I'm really, really tired
Like my social battery is empty
I've got a question to ask you actually
While we're on this
I've heard a little rumour
From a source in your environment
and doing some digging this week Al
Is it true
That if you got a season ticket
or a loyalty card or something for Heidi's bar.
Is that true?
I can neither confirm or deny that.
That's true.
Got my sources out.
How do you know?
I've got people watching you.
Do you know what happened, Chrossey?
So Friday night, go out, obviously.
And I'm like, right, I'm going to see Heidi, not sooner for a year.
And we go in and he's like, do you want to pay for the year for a tenor?
So do you're right, I'll be back tomorrow.
A year for a tenor?
That's unbelievable.
Or it was seven pounds to get him once.
So I was like, 10 found.
I was like, I'll go back Saturday, Sunday, Monday.
Yeah, right.
Well, yeah.
So my source has just proved to be very, very accurate.
I like that.
I'm going to keep them in the loop.
Who is he solved?
I cannot divulge such information, Alex.
But anyway, you're good.
You've been to see Heidi.
She's okay.
She's good.
She ruined me.
I've not been well since.
For anyone that doesn't know, who's Heidi?
Heidi's a ski bar in Cardiff.
Yep.
And it's just the greatest place on Earth.
I took Breezy.
Your coach, your head coach, Gareth Breeze.
Took the head coach and all the coaches.
Had a great night.
We were there till close.
It was a late on.
Perfect.
Yeah. But yeah, I'm, it's been a great week to be back,
but also a really, really emotional week.
Like.
Well, I can imagine.
Yeah.
Stuart Brod's retired.
Yeah, gutted.
But also like quite a scary week.
So I like, I came on Wednesday in training.
on my own and then Thursday there was just five of us so like eased myself in and then
Friday we're playing and then I get a wicket with my first ball and I was like oh I couldn't
have gone worse and everyone's like why I was like because it can only go downhill now
doesn't get better like get Lizelle Lee for a golden bye um but I spoke to the girls before
the game and I was like look some of you know some of you don't know the overseas don't
know but like I'm mentally not well at the minute I'm like I'm getting better and I've just
burst into tears and I was like you're going to have to have to help you're going to
me today, you're going to have to help me. I cannot tell you how brilliant they've all been.
I mean, I would expect nothing less, like nothing less, but that is so, so good. A, for you
to be able to start, because there's new players there, you don't have to tell everyone you
into now. It's like, we obviously do it on the podcast because I think the lunatics, but, like,
to do that from a lot of people. It's because I think I'm just talking to you. Yeah, exactly.
But then when you had people there and there's faces and people and real things going on,
so yeah, well, the new for doing that, because that's not easy.
And very, very well done to them for dealing with it well.
And I think that actually goes to show how far cricket has come around mental health.
Yeah.
So like, yeah, it's been weirdly, weirdly emotional.
But you know me, like I just go out and I have a drink and I'd sort of like bury it.
But then I've just had therapy.
So I've talked about it all and now I feel good again.
So it's been weavey, but also I'm really, really excited to play.
I cannot tell you how many people have asked me.
if you're going to play in the 100
like so it's been
how's Al
is she playing in the 100
like how's she got
like obviously people want you to be okay
but everyone so wants you to play in the 100 as well
so you are officially
going to play in the 100 aren't you
yeah well I've got to get picked on Wednesday
but honestly
Crossie they have to pick me now
Friday was mint
I was mint
right okay nice
so that that girl he was talking
three weeks ago on this podcast going
stood at the end of the mark
don't know where I'm going
versus the girl two years ago
that was stood there going
I know I can be the best in the world
you're back to being that girl
I love my therapist
I love my therapist
and there you go
love that
that's another example
of go and speak to people
if you need help
yeah we just did half an hour today
she went Alex
I think we've cracked it
I think you've cracked it honey
how are you
yeah I'm okay
similarly
similarly tired
I've joined my new
team. I'm wearing a different colour this year. It's a bit different. New colours, new team,
new city, all a bit different. Has it been weird? Only because I'm so used, well, I've done two
years at one team. So it's going to be weird leaving a team regardless, and especially leaving a team
that I've played for my entire life. I know Manchester's only been a tournament, a team that's
been around in a tournament for two years. But I've played for Lancashire, at Old Trafford my entire
life so it was always going to be strange um but i'm convinced i'm going to have a great time i'm just
ready for the cricket to start now you definitely will have a good time and and also like lanks
and manchester they come hand in hand so there's so many girls at lanks at manchester there's only
four or five of us that's somewhere else so it is different but i'm so many people like you
and me like so many people like crossies at the supercharger like yeah she was fuming now
she's excited and now she's like there she's happy and I'm like but actually I've not
spoke to us I'm like I'm like how are you yeah I'm not I don't think I don't know if I ever
was viewing I think I was like surprised for a lot of this and then like you drive over to
leads and you're like wow this is definitely going to look a lot different like but I honestly
can't tell you we've got a great great great group of girls and we obviously had some
injury issues so healy and Heather Graham pulled out last minute we've signed feebe litchfield
and jemmy rodrigues so like two great additions to the team
but like I don't want to sound arrogant
but there are a team that wanted me
and I've really felt that being in their environment
like Holly I've gotten so well with Holly
Armitage the captain got on well with her anyway
but like she's just really welcomed me in
and I think for someone who is going to go through
like a bit of a change going to a different team
that first impression is probably really really valuable
and how they all have made me feel
has been amazing so I can't fault
them at all
yeah our first game's not until Thursday
so kind of like waiting
to play now but
really nervous to play but
equally like want to do really well it's just like
the big mix of emotion
yeah how's it been being back with
Danny Hazel but she's not a teammate
anymore she's your head coach
so so good I can't even tell you
like as soon as she was the first person I saw on Saturday
we had to come over and do
appearance and she was the first person I saw and she like ran to me giving me the biggest
hug and she was like mate so good to see you and we've just had so many nice catch-ups since then
she keeps asking me about you she was like we need to get Harley on a FaceTime and so yeah
really impressed with her as a coach as well obviously not seeing that side of her saw her as a
captain in the KSL and as a senior player in my England career but never seen her as a coach so it's been
really nice seeing that side of her as well oh I've actually really really
jealous.
Do you know what she said?
I want to be a supercharger.
Oh, she said it was getting to the point in the draft where she was like,
I might as well sign Al as well.
Just foot crack.
She was going to sign you.
If Wales didn't get you, no, well, no, actually Wales got your last, didn't they?
But yeah, she was going to get you.
Oh, I'd have definitely gone.
How fun would that have been?
That would have been.
But I don't want to be anywhere else.
I love fire.
Well, you've got your season ticket to Heidi's now, so.
I don't have a lot of it.
do you know that? How do you know that? Who is in this team? Who is in this team
that's telling you? Anyway, Al, we've just done five minutes of us and it's not about us today.
It's about the washes and the matches and the matches and the men and the broads and the
moan alleys and the drawers and everything else. Let's go. Oh, do you know what? Just so proud
of my man like finishing his test marks the way he did. My baby. My baby.
don't because he'll probably like that
that'll get clicked up
I don't know it will
I know
do you know what
it's the end of an era
and it like properly
end of an era
and it's been an unbelievable
summer of Ash's cricket
like unbelievable
and like for Broad
to announce his retirement
on day three
and to finish it himself
the way he did today
it just literally
nobody gets to write
their own script like that
like nobody
unbelievable like
Unbelievable.
I know.
And for him to face his last ball and hit six
and bowl his last ball and take a wicket,
like you said,
no one ever gets to write a script like that.
But I just like,
I don't,
to go out on top like that
at the very, very top of your game
because he's arguably been our best,
most consistent bowler in this series.
And he's played five test matches,
like how on earth he said he was going to be pleased
if he got through two.
To then be able to walk away,
from that. You must be so, A, convinced it's the right decision, but just be so settled in
yourself that you know you can walk away from that, like, that high. And did you see his
interview after the game? So he's just finished his last game. It's probably not even been
20 minutes since they've come off the pitch. Obviously, Moeen's retired as well.
Moein, if Stokes text me, I'm deleting it, elite. Brilliant. Very good. He comes out,
so Stuart Broad comes out and just does the most level-headed interview I've ever heard and
speak so clearly and so passionately and so well about everything and it almost like someone
scripted it for him in his head and he's just reading it out it was that good i'm just like how are
you so professional in this moment and not a not emotional well he's already got a job in the media
and he's going to be an unwillingful pundit and he does speak well and he i guess now i don't know
i've not spoke to him i wish i could and joking um but like he's got a life away from cricket
and he must be so, so settled with that
and, you know, a baby
and his wife to be
and maybe he'll go into commentary,
you know, he's got his pub,
he's got so many other things ball cricket
and God, he's just so lucky
to have been able to end it the way he has.
I was speaking to one of our coaches,
like we went to the pub to watch the end of the game today
and he was saying, like,
his entire upbringing of cricket
has been Broaden Anderson
and, like, for them not to now open the bowling together for England.
It's like one of,
of those like for me i never never got to watch both and play obviously but like a lot of people of
that generation have their cricket memory shaped by that person and for us it's broad and Anderson
and obviously now there's going to be no more broad and Anderson like it's such a strange thing
to think moving forward how cute is that picture of them both going out to bat though I know like
again you couldn't write that that they both get to go out and open the batting on day four
like i use inverted comments there but like yeah you just don't get to write these scripts like
But they deserve it, don't they?
They've played so many games of cricket for England,
won so many games of cricket for England,
changed what fast bowling looks like for everyone, basically.
Yeah, so are they going to have one hell of a party?
Yeah, rumour has it.
We've got one of the players with us tomorrow
for the opening game of the 100.
I'm intrigued to see if you'll be there.
You do have one of the ones that doesn't drink, so it might work out well.
I know. I know, but he still be out of late.
Yeah. So what a day, what a series. I feel like, obviously I would have loved it if the men had won the ashes. I would have loved it if we'd have won the ashes. But I actually think 2-2 is a really fair result because not much separated both teams. And I saw Brendan McCullum did an interview at the game and he spoke about like two severely contrasting styles of test cricket get the same result. And it's been really fascinating to watch that kind of like, he described it as the heavyweight.
boxing matchup
you've got two people
just doing things
very differently
so yeah
what a summer of cricket
and it lived up
to the expectation
in my opinion
yeah you
as an England side
an England team
men and women
you all should be
very proud
for entertaining
people like me
because
my word
did I have an unbelievable
couple of months
and now
we get to go
and do it all again
before we move on
and talk about
the 100 though
we have to
talk about bail flip
we have to
Yeah. It's never worked for me. Has it ever worked for you?
I've never done it. I didn't know it was a thing.
I do it all the time and it's never worked. Stuart Broad, he's got the magic touch.
He's done it twice and it's worked. Next ball has got wickets twice in a game.
When he did it, they got the final wicket, I was howling but also nearly in tears at the same time.
Yeah, it honestly so good. And then he goes and taps the wicket as like a little thank you.
Yeah, thank you, honey.
I can't wait to do it a hundred times on Thursday when we can't get wicket.
fact we all said that we were like right come on welsh fire our new tactic flip the bales every other ball
yeah love it wealth fire no other superchargers 100 go i don't know i'm just mega excited
i'm a bit disappointed right well i'm obviously working as well so i'm doing the opener tomorrow
and then play the next day absolutely fine why are we starting at 11 here yeah you are because
you've got double headers on wednesday there's four teams playing on wednesday yeah well we pulled
the short straw. You know, I'm an afternoon gal. Yeah, we all are. The 100 is an afternoon
con, really. But yeah, that's a shame for you. So your first game's Wednesday. My first
game's Thursday. Who are playing? We are playing against the Birmingham Phoenix, who have
unfortunately got the news that Elise Perry will not be coming over. She's her herself. Needs
from rest. So it's been a shame, hasn't it? It gets to this time of year and big names do
pull out. It is a shame. Rashid if Khan's just pulled out. Has he?
was thinking about this in the gym today
because realistically
you can't see the Ashes squad
that have just played
playing that much of the 100.
Got a good story for you about that, right?
Down in reception, Tammy Beaumont and Callan, her fiance
and they're talking about cricket and the ashes
and the receptionist's like Johnny Bearstow's playing here
and Callan went, well, yeah he is
but I don't think he'll play that much
and the woman went, well he's got a room
so he must be playing.
So he must be playing, yeah.
Ben Stokes has got a rucksack with his accreditation on it in our room,
but I'm pretty sure it's not going to be here on Thursday.
It'll still be in London Thursday.
Do you know what I was thinking?
This might be a bit too heavy to get into right now, actually.
But I was thinking, like, for the men,
obviously the centrally contracted players have to be separated.
So that's why each team has got a England player.
But for the likes of Jow, Johnny Berstow,
they're not playing at their home grounds.
And I know you can't make everybody happy.
It's not a – you can't do that in tournament.
cricket. But I think those players would be more inclined to play more games if they were playing
for their home, again, inverted commas, home team. So I was thinking maybe the tournament needs to
actually go into more like marquee players. So superchargers, for example, you've got five
marquee players per team and you can buy them how you see fit. So that'd be five English players
or five overseas players or whatever. But then that gives the opportunity for Root,
Berstow, Harry Brook, Stokes, if you consider him to be a home player.
at Headingley
like they all get to play for their team
and then they're more inclined to play
and then you've got the pull of the England players
would that not uneven the teams
well no because then Welsh fire
if they've not necessarily got
like your representative from the England team
they can go and buy
David Warner
Rashid Khan
do you know five marquee players
they don't have to be five internationals
or five English
Crossie we can't change the hundred this year
before it's started
it's two bigger ones to go into now
But anyway, I've been thinking about it, so watch this space.
Maybe I'll come up with a good idea.
Is that because you just want to be back in Manchester?
No, no, no, no.
I was genuinely thinking, like,
I'd be disappointed if the men aren't playing,
if the England men don't play in this tournament.
But I can fully understand why,
because five test matches in seven weeks, whatever it's been,
is hectic.
Mark Wood, for example, probably does need a rest.
Ben Stokes couldn't bowl for three, four weeks.
So, you know, it's unlikely that he's going to be able to play all the games.
But how do you make it that those players are desperate
to play in this tournament
like all the female players are
because I feel like
we're so desperate to play in it
because we love it
but how do you get
that excitement from the men's team
oh that's one for the post
a big one
here's a big one
here's a big one
I also
I'm going to make it
my summer's mission
to get shoot abroad
on this podcast
there I've said it
I don't think I'll turn up that week
I don't think
I'll force you will
no because crossing
you could embarrass me
you can embarrass me
I slid in as well
you know Al
yeah so we should we go upstairs yeah let's go let's go upstairs who should go upstairs with

Right, when we say we're going upstairs, we've actually gone on to our Instagram DMs
because we forgot to us, Henry, for the emails. Sorry, Henry. So, there's one here.
Alex, have you got in trouble for calling Tammy Bowman, Basil Brush?
I wondered what that meant.
So.
She had a haircut, didn't she?
Yeah, I feel quite bad for it. But when she was playing cricket or you were playing,
I was like, Tammy's reminded me of someone for a long time, and it's obviously Basil Brush.
She texted saying, Alex, you will regret that.
and she's gone and had a haircut
and I'm trying to make it stick
but I actually think it offends her
so I think I'm going to have to stop.
Right, okay, yeah,
so that is no longer a thing
that's cancel that right now.
It's still going to have.
You're going to call her Basil,
I know you are, because you do do that.
It's all right, she'll get over it.
We had one saying,
I can't wait to just be like short,
oh, short Basil.
We've had one saying,
what's your favourite part of the Barbie movie?
And this is directed at me
because you've not seen it yet, have you?
No, but don't, don't.
ruin it. I don't want to know. I'm not going to ruin it, but I'm going to tell you
a little story because I went to the cinema on Friday night with my ex-housemate and her
sister. And as I'm getting into the cinema and like hewn up for my popcorn, I see our
content guy from Lancashire walk in with a girl. Charlie, I'm going to name him,
named off him. Charlie, I saw you walk in. So I text him going, he on a date with. And he
didn't see his phone. I saw him like, didn't take his phone out of his pocket. And then as
my friends came to meet me I was like
you'll never believe this I've just seen a guy he's clearly
on a date like I hope he's in the cinema
watching Barbie so as I walk into the cinema
I spot him and I've put my seats
and we're literally sat in the seats in front of him
so I was like I can sit down and like oh hello
fancy seeing you here
I'm here to ruin your date
oh no I thought you had a girlfriend or is it
did that break off it's a new one
not sure I didn't want to ask that question because obviously that
could have been a deal breaker but
my favourite part of the
Barbie movie, Charlie, was watching your face drop the second you saw me take my seat right
in front of you.
Yeah, it was Charlie.
Charlie, that is getting busted.
He said it went well, so.
Oh, good.
He did say it went well.
Will the Brody screensaver make a return due to his retirement?
I think Harry might break up with me if I start doing that again, so probably not.
Talk about Danny Wyatt in the field.
She's incredible underrated in that area.
She is. I actually just watched a documentary about Southern Brave.
I don't know if you've seen it.
We've done a documentary?
Yeah, they followed the team around last year and then they put it all together as a documentary.
And Danny Wyatt takes a lot of great catches in it.
So, yeah, she is a very good fielder.
Well, yeah, she is. Very good.
Nothing against Birstow, but would we have won with folks in catches win matches?
Nah, because Birstow got plenty of runs quickly.
Got loads of runs, not that folks couldn't score runs, but he got lots of runs and took a few specky catches.
He had a bad game basically, didn't he?
Yeah.
Will we see Alex in Heidi's after Welsh Fire win?
I think I've proven that I'll be there, win, lose, booze.
Well, yeah, you've got your season ticket,
so of course you're going to be there.
It's going to be called Hartley's Next, not Heidi's.
I can't believe you.
No, I've got a season ticket.
It's so embarrassing.
If you could throw a shoe at an umpire,
what shoe would it be and which umpire?
I would throw, Anna's matching shoe with Sue,
at Sue.
And I'd throw
Sue's matching stick
with Anna
Anna.
Very good question.
Crossie, we've not
spoken about my floodlight.
Oh, we've not spoken about
our week. We haven't.
Oh my gosh, right, we're doing this in
terrible order. You've got a floodlight.
You asked Daniel Gidney
to gift you a floodlight
and he went and he did it.
I can't believe it. It's also got your name on two
which is pretty cool, but it is mine.
It's actually the podcast got like a barcode on it
that you can scan it and go and listen to the podcast,
which is unbelievably clever.
We didn't ask for that.
You can officially light up Emirates Old Trafford
until the end of time.
Crossie, I cried like a little baby.
It started off as a joke and I cried all day.
Yeah, I remember you text to me saying
you were really so severely overwhelmed by it.
But he tricked you, didn't he?
He tricked you into going to meeting him
so that he could do this big reveal with you
and they filmed you, which was sneaky, effective.
It was, it was great, it was great.
You've made a deal with him.
What are you getting?
No, I'm going to take this deal back with him
because I don't want to ask for something.
I don't want to do what you did
and ask for something and get it.
I want them to actually gift me something.
Yeah, fair enough.
But I said, if you do want to give me anything,
a bar called the crossbar would make a lot of sense.
Yeah.
But then we were talking to the floodlight,
to the floodlight, I wasn't talking to the floodlight.
probably will at some stage
I was talking about the floodlight to Daniel
and I was like honestly like I'm so honoured
thank you so much
and he's like in all seriousness Al you
the only player likes player
that's come through the county age groups
from the age of 11 upwards to win a World Cup
and I was like oh yeah that's true
men or women it was like that's true it is
yeah who are it is warranted on only winding you up
but you did ask for it
but I do think it's hopefully the start
of the being more recognition
for female players around county
grounds like you don't see a lot of
it and it does become more special than it should be just because you don't see a lot of it.
Yeah, yeah.
We could also talk about the fact that I rang the bell.
Oh, sh-de-the-bed. I'm so sorry. How rude.
First ever, first ever woman's ringing the bell at Old Trafford.
Way-ho.
In a test match.
Way-oh.
And you know what? Social media wound me up about this because it was a very, very, very, very special day for me.
Like, I was genuinely similar to you, like really overwhelmed when Daniel asked me to do it.
And all the stuff that I saw was, is 2023.
Why is this the first time this has happened?
And I get it, I get, I get it.
There's a lot of sexism.
We're all part of it.
Me and Alex kind of deal with this every day.
But just when moments like that happen,
please let the moment be really special
without bringing sexism into it.
Yeah, I agree actually because it didn't ruin it.
I mean, cross it's, you, when you got asked to do it,
you thought it was a joke.
Yeah, which actually just disbrews in the point.
because I've been that person
because no woman's done that before
so it then became a bigger deal
but it was so,
so special and yeah
it is a shame that things like that
happening for the first time in 2023
but it was really special.
There was, I'm proud of you.
Thank you.
Where do we go from here?
Do we just stop?
Should we do a couple more questions
just so that it kind of masks
the fact that we clearly
didn't do this episode very well?
Yeah.
What are your predictions for the 100?
Oh, good question.
I think in the ladies' side, the women's teams,
Trent Rockets seem to have a very strong team.
OK.
Nat, Sibabrun, Catherine Simabruin, Harman-Preet Corps, Lazelli,
Balaneking, a lot of good domestic players.
Oval seemed to be strong again.
They've kind of kept the team together from last year.
I think it's more of a free-for-all in the women's.
I think Welsh five have got an unbelief side.
Yeah, you've got a good team.
Sorry, I've undersold.
Well, I've not even mentioned you there, so that is a big undersell.
But I do think you've got a really good.
balanced team. I think even with your overseas pulling out, you're still as strong, if not
stronger. No, you've got different ones. I think honestly, it's open. Yeah, I hope it is. I hope it's a
really good, like, goes down to that last group game of it all really mattering. A good thing is
as well, we've obviously got all eight games this year. Last year, we only played six because
of the Commonwealth games on the women's side. Still waiting on the Amy Jones podcast guys.
It's a touchy subject for me of this, because I ask Amy every time I see her as she'll come on the
podcast and she doesn't want to.
She doesn't like doing media.
It really is like her worst case scenario.
So we're not going to push her.
So unfortunately, there's going to be no Amy Jones on this podcast.
Snog, marry, avoid, Stokes, Root Wood.
Oh, tough.
Stokes, who?
Root Wood.
Avoid Stokes, marry Root, Snogwood.
Okay.
I think I'm going to avoid Wood.
I'm going to marry Root and I'm going to Snog Stoke.
Okay.
Let's not go.
going to the wise. Who's going to take the most wickets in the 100 crossy or Hartley?
Well I got my little match attack card today and my ratings have gone up from last year.
Are they?
Which is weird because I scored five runs and now my batting's gone to 27 rather than like 15 and I took three wickets and it's now like in the 70s slash 80s.
So I'm not sure I think I might have had a few mental health sympathy votes for that was.
Yeah. Yeah, it can happen.
so you've not answered my question
who's going to take the most wickets across your heart?
I think it's got to be you
you're an international cricketer
oh don't give me that
you say you I'll say me
and we'll buy each other
a baby Guinness at the end of the tournament
it's going to be crossing because
technically I was the very last pick of the 100
in the draft and you went
at the top bracket so you're technically better
it really should be me
you've got more pressure on you
so you must do better you have to take wickets
whereas I'm just here for the ride
Joking. I'm going to be the leading wicket baker.
You're actually right though. I should get more wickets than you.
Yeah, you should. Two more. Right. One each.
Two. Okay, I've run out.
So, when are you getting a pod episode with Brody and Jimmy?
Look, right. Feels like a big ask.
One at a time. One at a time.
We've had Jimmy. We've had Jimmy on here.
Yeah. What would both your dream retirement send-offs look like?
Oh, good question.
Well, I might as well have retired from international T20 cricket,
so I'm not going to even think about that.
I think I'd like my send-off to be in a test match,
in an Ashes test match, with a fifer
because I've never had a test fifer.
So I'm going to go with that.
I'm going to go with, it might not happen,
but I want to play my last game with you
and have the Jimmy Broad moment going out
and playing with my best mate again
every time we've said
this could be our last game together
we've then played another game together
so maybe we've actually now had the last game and we don't know
good luck on Wednesday
hope you go well
good look on Thursday I hope you get wicket
thank you
hope everyone is just not too sad about
broad retiring we're going to get him on the pod
everyone enjoy the 100 go and support your local teams
and if you don't have a local team
pick the closest one
Pick Welshfire, we need some fans

I think it's the wobble ball
and it just nips back, it jags back,
it's the nipbacker.
That is a beauty from Kate Cross,
