Starting point is 00:00:00 This BBC podcast is supported by ads outside the UK. The Dakar Rally is the ultimate off-road challenge. Perfect for the ultimate defender. It's what England we're looking for.
Starting point is 00:00:38 Partly balls. Down the track comes scoring this time she connects. It's either six or out. It's six. Hello and welcome back to no balls a great podcast. That's why you're too loud because you start shouting every time we start. You've just practised going, hello and welcome to them. And then go, hello!
Starting point is 00:01:00 Welcome to Noble. Anyway, hello and welcome back to Noble to cricket podcasts as me, Alex Hartley, and you, Kate Cross. How are you doing? Do you know what? I am absolutely shattered. I'm going to ask you again, how are you doing? I'm not okay. Remember guys, ask each other twice. I'm just really tired, which is weird because I actually went to bed at about 11 o'clock last night, quarter past 11, but I think the sun has taken it out of me.
Starting point is 00:01:30 I was trying to explain to our overseas players, Lizelle and Minion, who have now joined us for the 100, that this isn't normal. They brought the weather from Dubrovnik, which is where they were doing their 12-day isolation. They've been in Croatia having an absolute beefer, and they brought it with them. And yeah, we're all absolutely shattered because it's too hot. It's honestly the heat. And like, my aircon in my bedroom's not working. Is yours working?
Starting point is 00:01:51 Yeah, mine's fine. Brilliant. Of course it is. Let's explain. I don't have aircon in the flat duo. We're actually, we said in the last podcast, by the time this, new episode comes out we'll have joined the hundred which we have we have you're shattered because you were working on the men's game at headingly on sunday and you travel down sunday night to join the team on monday down in london first thing monday morning i went for a nap about an hour ago
Starting point is 00:02:15 and just got flicking on my phone didn't nap rookie error schoolboy error um this has all started really nicely why we're not having beef with each other what's your problem this week i actually don't have one do you not no we've not seen each other so it's been great you've actually not spent any time together in the flyaway. I've got one problem. I got 99 problems, but I ain't one. But I'll tell you what is one. We all went to have a picnic lunch at Old Trafford the other day and you had tomato ketchup on your panini. No, I didn't have it on my panini. That's a lie. You dipped it in. Yeah, I don't know why people don't dip their paninis in Chimmy Kay. Everybody was like, what are you doing? Yeah, a lot of people did say it's more of an LBW than a bone to pick that, isn't
Starting point is 00:02:59 Yeah, but I think it's because you then, like, tell me I'm being weird and awkward all the time. We're actually... Because you bite ice cream. There are a lot of people that are with me with that. A lot of people. Speaking of a lot of people, thank you so much to everyone on Instagram that got in touch with us about who they want on the pod. Boris Johnson is unavailable, so he will not be joining us at any point in this hundred. He won't be.
Starting point is 00:03:21 But we have got a special guest lined up and we're just waiting for them to walk in the room. Yeah, so she'll be on very soon. We've got about eight minutes, I think, before she turns up. So we'll just fill some time, shall we? Yeah, well, it's normal. That isn't it, a bit of nonsense? I did have something else that I think we should bring up now that we're on week five of working with the BBC.
Starting point is 00:03:38 Let me just get my own sticky note up. Yep, sticky note. The introduction to the podcast has changed. Oh, yeah. And we didn't address it. Yeah, we didn't address it. My brother listens, big fan, made our last introduction, didn't he for us? He's devastated.
Starting point is 00:03:53 It had to go because we're now on the boy, boy, see. With the British podcasting company, welcome back. And we were using sky footage, so not allowed anymore. We got away with that for a lot longer than we thought. So, yeah, the intro has changed, so it's obviously still me taking a wicket. And I remember Henry Moran sent us the, like, prototype of what might be your little clip. Yeah. And we were howling, weren't we?
Starting point is 00:04:18 Yeah, I was like, oh, oh, I've got a wicket. Oh, no, I've been hip-six. So the actual clip where Daggers is talking is a lot longer than that, wasn't? There was a lot more suspension, but yeah. It's like six or out. It's six. And it's harm and preet that hit it, which makes it even better.
Starting point is 00:04:36 Was it the World Cup? Yes, it was. I played in that World Cup final at Lourdes. Have a drink. I remember actually that the ball that you bowled to her that she hit for six wasn't a bad ball. And then the next ball you bowled a terrible downleg side half tracker that she top-edged sweeping and got caught.
Starting point is 00:04:53 And you were giving it the big guns celebrating. I did that on purpose. What are you saying? Yeah, nice. So, yeah, I'm glad we've addressed that. I can take it off the sticky note now. It's been there a while. Well, I've just gone on my sticky note,
Starting point is 00:05:04 and I haven't really got anything. The only thing I do want to address is Sophie Eccleston's alarm habits. We need to talk about it in the LBW section, I think. We'll bring that back up later. But it's stressful, very stressful. I've got something else written down. And it says, copying my Instagrams slash tweets. And this is a bugbearer of mine that I've had for a little while with you now, Al.
Starting point is 00:05:26 Years. Literally is. been doing it, I've been copying and pasting your tweets for probably two years and nobody's noticed. Except me and it's laziness on your part which winds me up the most because you've got more Twitter followers than me. I've got more Instagram followers than you. But you will literally, word for word, copy something that I will put about a game that we've
Starting point is 00:05:51 played or a game that we're about to play or the fact that the hundred's starting, whatever it is. You literally, it's so brass how you do. So I did it with Virat Koli the other day, and somebody literally screenshot his tweet. It was like, you said exactly the same thing. I was like, yeah, copy and paste. But weirdly, yesterday, Lancashire Lightning got through to the quarterfinals of the T20 Blast in May. Yes.
Starting point is 00:06:12 And we weren't with each other, tweeted. Haven't spoke to each other, really, have we? Within nine seconds of each other, the exact same tweet, give or take. And you didn't copy mine. I actually went after you, so it was odd. Yeah, that was odd. We do that a lot, though, don't we? We'll text each other the same thing at the same time.
Starting point is 00:06:28 we're like, wow, what is happening. Look, and it's just worked through the door. Perfect timing, Harry, because we're mid recording. Let me give you this microphone. Very professional. You get a BBC microphone. I can see how shocked you are by how professional we are. Yeah, we carry this.
Starting point is 00:06:50 Yeah, we carry this equipment all the time. Yeah. So, for anyone listening, Harmon Precourt has just walked through the door. and she has got a physio bed imprinted on her forehead which makes me think she's just been having a massage. Yes, Chrosie, you're right. I just got that mark on my face because I was nicely sleeping there. I first said when Jenny said you're done.
Starting point is 00:07:17 Oh, you got sad. Please keep doing. So, Harry, how are you? Very good, Crossie. After watching you both. After watching you back. Yes. We're back at the Oval today training moment, which is your holy grail.
Starting point is 00:07:32 You came and won a game in the Super League. Yes, great, great, great memories from that ground. And this time I'm looking for a very big moment from that ground. And I'm sure we will get it. Yes, come on, Harry. We just want to say, thanks for agreeing to do this, because we did force you. We didn't give you a choice, did we? No.
Starting point is 00:07:53 No choice. You were the most asked for person When we put the poll out on Instagram Who people want to interview It was Harmon pre-court Crossie's sister, Harmon pre-court Yeah, I was just going to say that It was just because of you
Starting point is 00:08:09 No, no, not I don't think people want me to listen Because just because of you Because people think, you know, we are sisters That's why they want me to They do talking about that When did you realise that you looked the same as Crossy?
Starting point is 00:08:27 I believe when we played last test game in 2014. So one of my teammates, I didn't realize at all. So the last day, when we were batting, so that time, I guess you are bowling, and then one of my teammates told me that girls looks like you. And I'm like, are you kidding me?
Starting point is 00:08:48 And then she's like, no, no, no, just sit and think. Just watch her. She walks like you She looks like you I said no I don't think so But then later on Whole my team told me You both look same
Starting point is 00:09:01 You do Hello I think we have the same eyes Don't we Oh yes This is what I have prettier than mine The Village podcast strikes again
Starting point is 00:09:10 Yeah We're just getting rudely interrupted Over there But it's all right We'll carry on We'll be professional Thanks Phil Salt Right
Starting point is 00:09:20 Just after Phil Salt rudely interrupted us, our recording machine decided to cut out, so we picked up our chat with Harmon Precourt later on at cricket training. Harmon, we want to start asking, how did you get into cricket? Well, I used to play with boys when I was young, and one day I was just following my routine and one of my coach, my school principal, he just came to me and asked me, do you want to play cricket? or are you interested in some other sports? And then I said, no, I just want to play cricket.
Starting point is 00:09:55 I'm not interested in other sports. Before that, many people came to me and asked me about, you know, joining other sports like football, karate, hockey. Kabatty? Yeah. You don't have Kabatty here. I like that. I like it.
Starting point is 00:10:08 So then he was the only one who actually asked me if you want to play cricket, we can make a team for you and then, you know, you can continue your career. There is people in cricket. And I was very surprised to know that, that girls also play cricket and before that I just thought maybe I'm the one who is playing They only one
Starting point is 00:10:25 You're the only girl So there was no girls team at your school I know before like The time I joined After that we made a team Before that there was no cricket But we used to have 42 sports Which girls used to play
Starting point is 00:10:38 But then after we Just cricket 43 now then So there's girls at that school Who get the opportunity to play cricket because of you yeah maybe because before that
Starting point is 00:10:54 nobody thought of making women cricket team and then when I came there and then everybody was so excited because they used to love cricket but they never actually thought of making a so you get recognised yes it's quite a nice feeling though surely
Starting point is 00:11:09 yes definitely you know before that if I talked about five years back nobody knew like we are a cricketer and then you know sometimes when you're travelling they used to ask you be hockey are you under 19 team oh yeah we get that we get England rugby quite a lot
Starting point is 00:11:25 yeah yeah so there's you smitty um joulan and matali who we think are very famous in india um jemima now she's got famous yeah you've got loads of followers on
Starting point is 00:11:38 Twitter and Instagram but I get recognised now because everyone thinks I look like you I know I know you are very famous yeah because I support Chennai do you support who do you support I support R-CB. Yes. Because of Virat?
Starting point is 00:11:53 Yes. Because of Virat, A-D, and then I have done some campaign for them. Okay. You support the right team. I support R-C-B and we've got Glenn Maxwell. We do need to win. We're top of the table, in a minute. Everyone says you bat like Seward.
Starting point is 00:12:12 You got the same cut as him? Maybe because I copy that a lot. Yeah. Apart from me and Crossy, what is your favourite thing about playing cricket in England? Just being in Manchester, because, you know, probably only the only one city which I knew when I was growing up, because it was so famous, because of football, it was so famous, and I know this city when I was growing, and now I'm part of it, and living in that city. You're so important in Manchester, there's a mural up of you on the side of the building. You and Matt Parkinson, there's a picture of you celebrating for the Manchester Originals. Have you seen it?
Starting point is 00:12:51 Yes, Scott, he's going to be there. We'll have to take you. Yeah, we'll take you to go and see it. We'll have a picture next to it. So you like Manchester United. That's your own football team. Yes. So for everyone who listens to the podcast and loves Harmanprey,
Starting point is 00:13:04 a little story when you first got over to the Super League, you said the one thing you wanted to do was to go and do the tour of Manchester United. And I did it twice. And I want to do it both again. And I turned up to pick you up, and you have three full bags from the club shop with all the shirts, and you got your brother a shirt. And yes, I did a lot of shopping there. So I've got here written, today is the anniversary of your favourite ever in England.
Starting point is 00:13:33 India? In England. When you got 171. I got a lot of messages. Yeah. The anniversary. How do people know that? I think we all are cricket lovers.
Starting point is 00:13:45 Whenever these little moments come, we all like to celebrate them, yeah. So Australia won't be celebrating it. But today, I think we should call it Harman Prit Day. So happy Harman Prit Day. Harry, how do you cope? You travel around the world. You play in the Big Bash. You play in the Super League in the 100.
Starting point is 00:14:07 How do you cope with having the pressure of being an overseas player who needs to win games? Do you feel that? Or do you just play cricket? I think there is pressure, but I enjoy that, you know, you're always in the game, you always keep thinking, you know, I have to do better because, you know, I'm here, they're paying me before that and I have to, you know, always during the team. You still have to be relaxed when you play cricket and enjoy it and smile. Yes, smile and ball.
Starting point is 00:14:33 Smile and ball. Smile and bow. He said that to you? I want to part bowling course. Whenever I was bowling, I was, you know, my body was very stiff and when I was bowling and said, why can't you just smile and ball? Smile and ball. I love that. So smile and back.
Starting point is 00:14:50 Smile and back, smile and bowl. As well, Harry, we can't let you go without asking how many teams have ever written a song for you when you've won them again? You guys are the first one. Yes. And I really enjoyed that. My team also did Helenea, you know, Helenea. Halenia also did. But I like the way you guys, you know, within five minutes, you're like, made it.
Starting point is 00:15:14 song and then if we've got something wasn't I'd be everybody sing there it went something along the line so well Ellie for Elkhald made it didn't she she was singing it for you on the bus on the way back and it was something around
Starting point is 00:15:25 haman haman haman haman haman oh we need Ellie to sing it it was basically she got off the plane oh no she's come off I can't remember maybe I'll text Ellie now
Starting point is 00:15:42 and I'll get her to sing it on a voice note And then we'll play it before this episode ends. Yes. Okay. While Crossy sends that message, we've got a challenge for you. Okay. What is the slang word in English for potato? Spud.
Starting point is 00:15:59 Yes. Yes. I did it. I'm so happy. So to put some context onto that, Harry got to lunch the other day and she said, what why is England so obsessed with potatoes and I said you have to call them spuds every male comes with potatoes yeah I don't know why yeah funny you guys need to learn some curry yeah because now I have like many Indians come here to play you know so many Indians around yeah you can
Starting point is 00:16:32 teach me how to cook but I said I so I taught you the word spud but my favorite part about you saying spud is you say it with a northern accent oh yeah I forgot Spud. Spud. Spud. So in Cockney language down here in London, it'd be Spad. Spad? Spad. But up north it's spud. Spud. I am North Indian.
Starting point is 00:16:54 You're northern, yeah. Oh, North Indian. Yes. Nice. Nice. Okay, we've got a few more questions and then we've got a little quiz. Quick one on the 100, Harry. Can you explain the rules to me? Yes, I can. Yeah. Okay, so one baller can ball, five balls in a row. And, no, no, not five, actually.
Starting point is 00:17:14 Like, he or she can ball 10 balls, but after 10 balls, you have to change the end. Yep. Or even five balls, after five balls, again, you can change if you want to. And then 100 balls, total 100 balls. And after five balls, you don't need to change the strike. No. Same striker, like, can face the ball. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:36 One baller can ball 20 balls. Yeah. Circle is 25. Yes. Yes. You have smashed it. Yes. And you've only played one game so far, haven't you?
Starting point is 00:17:45 So that is very well done. Very well done. So while we wait for that voice, not have we got it? Not yet. Not yet, we've not got it. So every time we have a guest on Nobles, Harry, we do a quiz. Yes. So we're going to quiz you.
Starting point is 00:17:58 You don't win anything, but you're playing for your pride. Yes. We'll buy you a bag of spuds if you win. Seriously. next time I'll get some spud from India Yeah okay Question number one Have you scored more runs in ODI cricket or T20 cricket
Starting point is 00:18:22 I think ODIs Yes Do you know how many Around 2,500 Wow Do you know how many in 2020 cricket around 2,000 2,250
Starting point is 00:18:42 not bad that's good you're good very good at cricket not bad I haven't seen my stacks at all I'm just guessing it
Starting point is 00:18:50 no way and you know that I swear I swear on God I never never checked my sketch I don't even know how many I should not tell you well yeah okay
Starting point is 00:19:00 could be a question Harry all right the next question how many matches have you played for India are you in total in everything test t20 one day cricket tough one around two 10
Starting point is 00:19:14 227 227 do you know harry that is a lot of cricket so that's three test matches 107 one day games and 117 2020s did you start playing cricket for india when you were six years old how have you fit all this in I was 19, 19, 20, 19, 20. So, you've played three tests. What is your test batting average?
Starting point is 00:19:43 Very bad. Very, very, very bad. I need to, you know, get some more test games before coming for international games. Because it is not easy. It's hard, isn't it? It's hard to adapt. Yes, I feel, especially in England. See, I played three tests, two played in England.
Starting point is 00:20:04 the most tough conditions yeah so india one was like india one was my best test i got nine wickets yes you did yes sorry i don't i didn't get that much chance to bat but yes i got chance to ball but england conditions are tough and i played two tests here so you have to give me some yeah i said as well before we played the test against you we have to learn how to play test cricket whilst we play it because we never play yeah the men play it all the time and they grow up playing three-day cricket, four-day cricket. But we learn from playing, so it's hard. Right, right, right, right.
Starting point is 00:20:42 So I haven't played test cricket when I was in school. Like, we used to play 10-over cricket. No wonder you can smack it. I'm not lying, yeah. 10 overs. Only 10 overs. So when I played my first in the first class cricket, that was my first game when I played 50 over. Wow.
Starting point is 00:21:03 Wow, did that feel? I was so tired. I was so tired after the game. I'm like, that 10-over cricket is better than this. After 30 hours, I was dead. When these overs are going to end? That was like Julan Goswami in the test match when she turned around to our bench.
Starting point is 00:21:24 And she said, are you going to declare? And we said, not yet. I know, she bought almost 16 overs before lunch. And it's too much for her. like at today's time yeah so what do you think your test averages give us a number maybe maybe 7 10 8 7 yes I just calculated all my runs because I think 17 is my highest because when I played played in India I haven't got many runs when I played against England okay okay so we'll we'll give you a better one how many international wickets have you taken
Starting point is 00:22:02 Oh, probably around 30. Harry, you are so much better than that. Seriously? You have taken? How many? 64. Oh my God. 64.
Starting point is 00:22:17 Seriously? You'll get into the test team as a bowl and in the next game. No, you're kidding me. No, that's true. See, you know, why I said this number, because once we were having a team meeting and I got more wicked than Shika Pandey I just look at her
Starting point is 00:22:34 I say I got more wicked than you you're a regular baller and that's why I said maybe around this much but I think I forgot to add the later on I think you did you forgot to add 34 wickets onto that
Starting point is 00:22:49 that's more than I've taken 34 is more than I've taken in international not bad that's good I don't ball every day exactly you hardly bow for India these days
Starting point is 00:22:59 I don't get it you need to We'll try Well this is our This is it now Listen all our listeners Who BCCI if you're listening She's taking 64 international wickets
Starting point is 00:23:10 So listen to us She needs to bowl more Yeah She can't stop laughing Final question Final question You've actually done really well This is the start
Starting point is 00:23:24 That we were most impressed by Oh Seriously Seriously not your wickets but this. So you have played 227 games for India. Yes.
Starting point is 00:23:35 How many ducks have you had? Maybe 15. You're better than that. You're way better than that. You've only had nine. Oh my God. Seriously. You need to talk into the mic.
Starting point is 00:23:51 Oh, my God. Seriously. Yeah, four in one day cricket, four in 2020s and one in test match cricket. Oh. Not bad. That's good. that's outstanding.
Starting point is 00:24:02 A little clap for Harry. Thanks, thanks, thanks, thanks, thanks. See, we're here to pump your tyres up as well. How many you got? Do you hardly get down to bed? Never. Have I had one duck? I think one duck but only got out once
Starting point is 00:24:16 in international cricket against India. Ekta Bish bowled me. How many runs did you get in that game? Not sure, probably none. Well, if you got, that's your only duck then. I don't know if I got a duck if you don't get out. You don't just get a nut. New York are duck.
Starting point is 00:24:31 She doesn't even understand the rules of cricket. How do you pronounce this dog? We say duck. You said dog. Duck. Dog. Okay. Doug.
Starting point is 00:24:40 Same. It's the accent. It's the accent. I have just received a voice note from Elie Threl Kel. So this is the song that Lancashire Thunder, is that what we're called? Not what are we called? Lancashire Thunder. Oh, Lancashire.
Starting point is 00:24:55 Yeah. Was it Lancashire? Oh, it was such bad times. I've forgotten. This is the song that Ellie Threl Curl Curl is. wrote, let me put my volume up. She's conquered all of Surrey. She's never going to stop.
Starting point is 00:25:07 I'm pretty cool. She waxed the fucking lot. From India to London, she got straight off the plane, straight to the Oval to win us the game. Haman, Haman, Haman, Haman, Haman, Haman, Haman, Haman, Haman. Haman, Haman, Haman.
Starting point is 00:25:29 Have you ever been... She's so sweet. She actually recorded and sent it to you. Yeah. How many teams have you been in that wrote you a song? First one is Thunder. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:44 And then maybe once my Indian team also did. Halene, Halene, they all she did. Halene. Oh, she's good with things like that, isn't she? She's good dancer. Yes. Yeah. So, Harmon.
Starting point is 00:25:55 Thank you so much for coming on No Balls the Cricket podcast. I don't want to stop this. You want to carry on? You should keep talking. She wants to stay. We could do some emails. Yeah, okay. Should we go through some of the emails that are people send us?
Starting point is 00:26:10 And you can help us answer them. So let me get them up. This is my first interview. I'm enjoying so much. Yes. Yes, Harry. Okay. Hi, Kate and Alex.
Starting point is 00:26:22 And Harmon. And Harmon. And Harmon. Daniel didn't know that Harmon was going to. be here as a surprise. When going on tour, how many cricket specific bags does each player take? And is there always someone who turns up with way too many casual clothes, or do you become very good at travelling light? I carry a lot of casual clothes. You told me today that you always have to pay excess baggage. Not only do you have to pay for another bag, but you have to pay for excess baggage
Starting point is 00:26:53 because you take so many clothes. Of all the years, you've not... And you've not learned to travel light. Yeah, and you've not learned to travel light. No. You get paid too much. See, I carried seven or eight bats. Four I sent back. You send them back?
Starting point is 00:27:09 Yeah, because the team was traveling back. Yeah. Oh, okay. If I stay here for one more month, I'm going to shop. So where will I keep that? So you've sacrificed four cricket bats so you can go shopping. Yes, I still have four. Okay. Okay. I pack. I always take too much as well, but I always take one cricket bag, one suitcase, and a rucksack, that's it.
Starting point is 00:27:34 I've got a lot better because I find when I go on tour, I wear the same clothes for four weeks. Whichever's on top of my suitcase, I just wear those clothes. How can you wear same clothes for four weeks? Because I just get them washed. But you don't want to get bored watching yourself in same clothes? I don't care what I wear, Harry. I'm like you, you're like the fashionista of the women's team. I can't wear the same t-shirt for like, you know, for four weeks.
Starting point is 00:28:01 Could you get four? I can't do that. I can't. Seriously, I can't do that. You also travel with a thousand pairs of trainers. I've noticed that about you. Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:28:14 Next question. Hi, Alex, Kate and Harmon. When the world goes back to normal, where will you first go on holiday? Manchester See in which way I'm travelling Manchester Even if COVID is there But if maybe I'll go to
Starting point is 00:28:37 I don't know if you know this place Kashmir Kashmir Like it's in north Of India Is that where we get Kashmir sweaters from Yes you know Everything
Starting point is 00:28:51 Yes Harry I'm switched on so that's where you're going to go you're going to stay in India I haven't yeah I haven't seen that place okay I just want to go there what about you crossy where are you going on holiday where would I want to go on holiday
Starting point is 00:29:05 probably the Maldives can I come not bad nice call me yeah should we all go holiday
Starting point is 00:29:15 yes holiday yeah okay okay we're going to the Maldives we're going to the Maldives we've got a story haven't we about when you came over to play for Lancashire in the KSL,
Starting point is 00:29:26 we did a batting session with Glenn Maxwell. Yes. And you were so excited because you love Glenn Maxwell. Yes, that was outstanding. You know, he told me a few things, which is like, you know, when you're doing things, you feel like it is so difficult to get it. But the way he told me, those small, small things,
Starting point is 00:29:48 I felt like, you know, batting is so easy. He made it simple. Yeah, he made it. very simple. He was trying to get us to play straight and then you started playing over extra cover and you actually had to teach him how you play over extra cover. He said harm and teach me. So you have taught Glenn Maxwell how to hit over extra cover and I think that is amazing. I think that's, you know, he's such a big player but because, you know, he has that learning thing, you know, no matter how big you are if you have that learning thing. He wants to learn. Yeah, he always
Starting point is 00:30:23 wants to get better. So I think he told me how to, you know, aim to hit straight. And then, you know, when we were talking and doing that drill, and I started teaching him how to play extra gores. How to open your hands. It was a very good thing to do with him. I remember that same day. So we were trying to hit the clock at Old Trafford.
Starting point is 00:30:44 He said, aim just to the right of the clock and you'll hit the clock. And Alex comes in and first ball sweeps. And he goes to deep square leg. And he's like, no. He's like, that's not what I asked. I've only got one shot. I've got more than that now, though. Yeah, you whacked it today.
Starting point is 00:31:00 Okay, hi, Kay, Alex and Harmon. Hope you both well. I hope you're all well. Do you ever practice batting visualization? Yes, I do a lot. You do it a lot. I've seen you do it before our games. I've seen you watch people bat in the nets before a game
Starting point is 00:31:19 and you play behind them. So that is something I've been doing from a long time and that makes me to learn to judge the ball because sometimes when we are betting, sometimes if ball is up we don't judge well, we go back foot and start playing so when I do that drill if somebody is batting and somebody is bowling if I just go and just try to just watch the ball and react like how you would if you batted.
Starting point is 00:31:50 I think we should start visualising. Yeah, I might bring that in. Will it make me score runs? You've hit that six? I still remember that. Yeah, Harry said to me today, can I tell this story? Yes, please. When I hit my first international six at Worcester the other day,
Starting point is 00:32:05 Harry cheered me. Did you? Yes, I did. She said, well done, crossy. No, I don't know if she remembered, actually. I just got injured. I just came back to the stadium. I was sitting there.
Starting point is 00:32:16 She was crossing. I said, come on, cross hey. Oh, no, I didn't hear that. I didn't hear it. She was so no, come on, grozzy. I didn't hear it. She can hit the ball far. And I said thank you to Chevaldi Bermer on this podcast
Starting point is 00:32:28 for being 10 yards in off the rope, so it went for six and she didn't get caught. It was a drop catch, wasn't it? Yeah, well, it's six in the book, so. Yeah, six is six. Six is six, right. One more, and then... One more question, because we've actually got a team meeting
Starting point is 00:32:42 in this very room that are people trying to set up with, so we need to skiddle. This is an interesting one. Hi, Kate and Alex. podcast. Hi Harmon as well. My question is pretty boring, but can you name one match that you lost that you wish you'd won? Kind regards, Praween. Of course, the World Cup final.
Starting point is 00:33:03 In which one? Oh, which one? In which one, Harry! Both won. So the 2017 World Cup final. You wish we would win that? We were just there. We were so close.
Starting point is 00:33:18 So close. Yeah, 2020 was, you know, it was, like, after a while it was a one-sided game, but 2017 was very, very close. We've not even asked you, what was it like playing in front of 87,000 people? On your birthday, on International Women's Day? Yeah, it was, I was, don't even ask me that. So, you know, I was like, people were sending me best wishes, sending me birthday wishes, and, you know, then we all. playing final. Yeah, big day.
Starting point is 00:33:52 You know, like almost 90,000 people in the stadium. It was so busy, wasn't it? It was amazing. Did you meet Katie Perry? Oh, yes, we did. Yeah? Was she cool? She was very pregnant.
Starting point is 00:34:07 But still she was looking so nice. She was. So fit, so nice, yeah. Yeah, Alex, last time you saw Alex, she was bigger than that. You actually said yesterday, you said, Alex, you've got fit. I'll lose my England contract and get fit. Harmon, it's been amazing to have you on this podcast. Thank you so much.
Starting point is 00:34:26 Thank you so much. And close. You are so welcome. We thank you and we'll buy you some spuds to say thanks. For one last time, go on, say spuds. Spuds. Guys, if you want to email us, it's no balls podcast at bbc.com.com. That's no balls podcast at bbc.com.com.
