Starting point is 00:00:03 My name is Charlie Kirk. I run the largest pro-American student organization in the country fighting for the future of our republic. My call is to fight evil and to proclaim truth. If the most important thing for you is just feeling good, you're going to end up miserable. But if the most important thing is doing good, you will end up purposeful. College is a scam, everybody. You've got to stop sending your kids to college. You should get married as young as possible and have as many kids as possible. Go start a turning point USA college chapter. Go start a turning point you would say high school chapter.
Starting point is 00:00:35 Go find out how your church can get involved. Sign up and become an activist. I gave my life to the Lord in fifth grade. Most important decision I ever made in my life and I encourage you to do the same. Here I am. Lord use me. Buckle up, everybody. Here we go.

And I think as I'm just sitting here getting ready for the show, it strikes me that one year ago today, we were just going about our business the way that we always had and we had no idea what the next day would entail and that's a heavy thing to think about i will tell you and um tomorrow is the one-year anniversary of losing charlie and so this whole week
Starting point is 00:01:47 we have devoted to remembering him and what his legacy means and what um that means for the country and so many of the people that loved him and knew him one of those people is anna palina luna congresswoman from florida who is part of charlie's legacy as well and she joined joins us right now from Dallas. She's at the RNC there. APL, it's good to see you. You are part of Charlie's legacy as well. And I wanted to start today's show off. You know, you are in Congress. You're doing a great job there. Charlie was so proud of how hard you were working, how you read the whole rule book before you even got it. It's got to be a long book. Yeah. He was so proud that you did the work to actually understand the way that your new job in Congress at the time worked. And he just, I remember
Starting point is 00:02:34 him talking about that a lot. Like, nobody knows what they're doing there, especially as freshman, but you did, and you've been using the rules. And anyways, he was proud of you, and I want you to know that. Tell us about the first time you met Charlie. The first time I met Charlie was actually at the Young Women's Leadership Summit, and so I didn't know at the time, but he was scouting me for a position as the National Hispanic Outreach Director with Turning Point USA.
Starting point is 00:02:59 And I will never forget, I'm like, this is really weird. I just went to the summit. And now Jesse Waters is reaching out. And come to find out, it was actually Charlie that had pitched me to Jesse's to basically see if I could do media and really fulfill the role. And I'll never forget. But literally the day before I was supposed to leave to go to medical school, Charlie called me and offered me the position.
Starting point is 00:03:21 And actually, one of my most fondest members is actually, you're in the video, also Tyler. But it was the day before the 2022 election. And so Barack Obama had just dropped a robocall. on me for my opponent. And Charlie came down into this massive event in Pinellas County and we packed it out. And then the next day I won. So that was kind of the cool turning point alumni to Congress. I remember.
Starting point is 00:03:44 Yes, you and your husband backstage at that event. Yes, that was great. We should remember, I mean, 22 was a tough election year. So he was very proud that he had your win as something to celebrate in what was otherwise a tough year. Yep. That was great. And so, you know, you spent a lot of time with Charlie. It's a lot of those clips that, you know, the people play.
Starting point is 00:04:07 I mean, there's that famous one where he's wearing the ice hat and he's, you know, the gal comes up and says, why are you? Yeah, there are only two genders. Yeah, prove me wrong. So, but you're in a lot of these clips. And people say, you know, they say, you know, that's one of the most famous clips when Charlie says, we talk because if we don't, then that's when violence happens. And so I always see you there.
Starting point is 00:04:28 And I remember you guys were doing. tabling. Tell us about your time with Charlie. Well, I remember, I mean, that was one of the first events that I had done with him. And we literally were in Portland, Oregon, and really the belly of the beast. I remember this was during the quote unquote summer of love. So they had all the Antifa riots right in Portland. I was there with him. And I actually remember at that time, I was asking him, because, you know, people get pretty upset. And I think actually in that segment, you can see a woman like actually grabs his hat and runs away with it and just like gets really up close and directly engages with him. And I remember,
Starting point is 00:05:00 asking them, you know, are you at all concerned? Like, this is kind of sporty. You know, you're a young kid, but, you know, I just got out of the military and, you know, it was just interesting to kind of see that lens and perspective bringing the dialogue to a college campus that really was stifling a lot of the speech that they should be encouraging, right? And so I actually attribute a lot of what Charlie did to really opening up these discussions, especially for conservative and Republican leading students on pretty liberal campuses. And then I think that was also to when Turning Point had the professor watch list. And so it really has evolved. I think Charlie's really vision for what the organization was doing was engaging young people. But, you know,
Starting point is 00:05:38 I posted this yesterday and that Charlie, I think 100% was going to run for president. I think he would have been president. And I think that the infrastructure that he built with Turning Point was something that could help continue his legacy of sharing, you know, the debate, sharing these ideas. And, you know, even if you don't agree being able to have the respectful conversation, you're seeing that, especially on the left, increasingly dwindling. You're seeing kind of this rise of assassination culture. And, you know, between colleagues and conversations in the Hill and in the chamber, even the more moderate Democrats are, you know, understanding that that's not something that is,
Starting point is 00:06:13 you know, good for anyone and that they have to deal with this issue within their own party. And so all I can say is that I know, you know, this is obviously especially for the family and for Erica, and for us, you know, a very sad time, but also, too, I choose to focus on a lot of the positive memories that I have with Charlie and, you know, some of his wit about him. But I, you know, I will never forget that time and also, too, how hard he worked to get President Trump reelected. Yeah, and that's really well said. I think that, you know, to Blake's point, we think about Charlie as kind of the serious political activist and, you know, 2022 was a tough year. It was actually a turning point year because it's when we decided to really put our weight behind the
Starting point is 00:06:57 Chase the Vote Project and start canvassing ballots and getting people out to the polls ourselves, low propensity people. But he was also so much fun. And that's the part that people don't know. Like his sense of humor was dry, but it would just have you rolling if you were in private with him. Yeah, it was very distinct, I will say. Yeah, he had a very unique sense of humor, but it was so Charlie that it would, when he was able to focus and just, just be with you know, when you're with them in that way, have you just, you know, curling over because your stomach hurt. It would make you laugh that hard.
Starting point is 00:07:30 Like the personal side, two minutes before the break here, what aspects did you witness from Charlie that maybe the world isn't aware of? Well, so Charlie, yes, he was like this larger-than-life personality, obviously a great friend, you know, husband, son, all of those things. But also, too, he just really loved politics for the sport of it, right? So he genuinely, like when we were having the dragout fight with Speaker then McCarthy for his nomination to be Speaker, I remember Charlie called me. He goes, okay, tell me what's actually happening because there was all this, you know, noise, especially on, you know, various outlets saying that, you know, the 20 of us were being obstructionist and we were preventing the house from moving forward with its business and we had just gotten this majority and how could we be such an obstructionist? And then I explained it to him. He goes, okay, I got you. You know, so a lot of times when these things would happen, he would call me directly to really come. kind of see what's happening. And then he would be calling other people as well to make sure that, you know, the advice that he was giving the messaging that he was sharing. And then also, too,
Starting point is 00:08:28 I think the counsel to the president was good sound advice and that it wasn't being skewed in any which way. But I'll never forget, you know, he was down with me and I'll never forget that because that was the year that I won in 2022. And he was kind of almost like giggling backstage because it was such a big event. It was a really big deal for Turning Point, obviously. He also, too, by the way, worked harder than the party did to get me elected. And so, when I did end up winning, it was a big deal. And of course, that night, we knew that we were going to win. The energy was there.
Starting point is 00:08:54 You could tell just by how much he was hyping up the crowd. Benny was there. But it was a really good, I think, grassroots team. And it really took, I think, turning point into from, you know, being pushed out by the RNC to then being embraced. That's such a good point. I mean, and everything happened so quickly. You know, we launched the Charlie Kirk Show in 2019, nationally syndicated radio show, almost barely a year later in October of 2020,
Starting point is 00:09:20 then took to Real America's voice. It became a TV show in 2022. So everything in Charlie's life was accelerated timelines. And so he starts turning point. And then you, but in 2022, people forget, you were the first alumni to be elected as a sitting member of Congress. And that was a huge, huge breakthrough for the organizations. So let's talk about the state of the movement since we've lost Charlie.
Starting point is 00:09:45 I think one of the things that people have really come to appreciate about him was he was the glue that kept so many different parts of the coalition together. When it comes to what you're seeing, I don't know, in D.C. and the craziness up there, have you felt that loss? And do people talk about it that this now feels different without Charlie? What's the spirit of it? Yeah. So I think Charlie was a coalition builder. and when I think about really how strategic it was for, you know, him to be assassinated the way that it was, what I realize is that there's very few people that can kind of go in and out, literally of the White House or through the halls of Congress,
Starting point is 00:10:29 and then maintain that genuine passion and association with the grassroots movement and then be able to do what he was doing specifically with then hosting rallies, going to college campuses, and really understanding how those two are very important pieces, alongside the influencers. What I've realized, though, is that there tends to be, and I think it's really ever since really his assassination, this Dumer perspective. And what I would say is Charlie, even when, you know, we were in some of the darkest times during COVID-19, or really when, you know, Biden was weaponizing and they were going after President Trump and, you know, starting really after the 2020 election, Charlie was not the type of person that would just throw in the towel. And he was not a pessimist. He would figure out ways to really fix the problem. And then also to, he wasn't someone
Starting point is 00:11:18 that would just sit by and complain about it and then not take action. And that's why his organization, that's why his legacy, the amount of people that he recruited, identified, influenced, really, you know, whether it was people now in office, whether it was influencers, whether it was media personalities. His legacy is still continuing today. And so what I would always tell people is, you know, there's a group of people on the internet. It doesn't matter what you do. There's, just never going to be happy. This is not just on the right. It happens on the left as well. And you have to take yourself outside of that and think bigger, right? Think about the influence, what you have, the ability to control, and how we can be good stewards of this country. And I think
Starting point is 00:11:57 I'll probably end up coming back and talking about this, but we're seeing a lot happen right now about how, what does the United States look like 10 years from now with the rise of AI? What do we have, you know, to protect? So, you know, there's privacy concerns. How can Congress affect that? Congress affect that. And so I think, you know, as far as legacy is concerned, the one thing Charlie always put first was God, family, and then country. And I think having those principles moving forward, keeping that in perspective and understanding that we need to think bigger than just ourselves and how we can preserve this great republic, I think is something that we should all consider. It's such a good point. Charlie was always a happy warrior. He was always solutions oriented.
Starting point is 00:12:36 And when you go online, it's something, it's become a repeat theme on this show. Is there so much doom and gloom? There's so much blackpilling. if people are upset about one little thing. Charlie could be upset about different things. He would privately, you know, hand-wring and all the time. Get frustrated about, you know, some politician did X or some leader did Y. And then he would focus in, he would zero in on the solution and how to message through it and how to be a part of the solution. And that is something that was so critical to him. I mean, Blake, you make this point all the time. I should let you chime in here on this. Yeah, just he was such a, I was talking to Mikey about this, that Charlie, the secret to so much of it, why he's such a success, why he was such an icon to so many people, it was so basic that most of us we can see a problem and then we complain about it on X or complain about it in person or just stew over it.
Starting point is 00:13:28 And then we spotted the problem. Why can't someone solve it? And Charlie's approach to everything was spot problem, ask himself, okay, how is that problem fixed? And then the next key thing, he would then immediately go and try to do something about it. And just that simple extra step of agency repeated hundreds, thousands of times over his life, turned him into this tremendous figure. And sometimes it was a small thing. How do I make my organization grow? Sometimes it was a big thing. We mentioned 22.
Starting point is 00:13:58 Oh, this election was a disappointment. Well, why was it? Oh, we apparently, we didn't have enough early voting. How did we change that? I guess I just have to build a giant early voting operation. Someone's got to do it. We got to get APL in Congress. So let's go to Florida and do a big rally. 100%. 100%. And, you know, the one thing that I also remember him talking about a lot is how
Starting point is 00:14:18 turning point was going to be useful and effective in creating that brick wall, right, dead center in the middle of the United States to help with, you know, the 2028 election. The election's moving on forward. And I think Charlie's ability to really key into young male voters especially was incredibly important. So look, he left an incredible legacy that some people can't even accomplish in their entire lifetime in very short years. And we have to continue that. And that means finding solutions. That means getting involved.
Starting point is 00:14:47 That means helping turning point action, other organizations that are actually boots on the ground. And what I would say is that his organization is still going to go forward. You guys are already doing it currently in identifying and getting good conservative members of Congress elected that really, I think, hold true to what the idea. the ideologies Charlie wanted and promoted were, but ultimately, it's everyone's responsibility to continue to continue that legacy. And so I choose to focus on the positive. I hope that, and I pray for Erica and the kiddos every single day, but ultimately it's going to be our responsibility to carry on forward. And I think that you'll see even just today there being a midterm convention kicking off today. I know that Charlie would have been here speaking. I know
Starting point is 00:15:28 that he would have been at the White House for the UFC fight. And I know that he would have been, you know, doing everything that he can to ensure that people like Mom Dani, something that he predicted years prior with the rise of DSA and socialism on college campuses. He called this literally back in 2018 when people thought it was crazy. I remember the initial catch phase of socialism sucks. That was really turning points main motto. And he identified it early on. And so we have the blueprint. We just need to put it into effect now of what he visioned for this country. Well, I know I speak for a lot of people when I say we're more confident in that. because you are in the position you are, APL, you're holding it down.
Starting point is 00:16:06 You're always given a hard time to the people that stand in our way as voters and as the grassroots and you really have become a voice for the grassroots and the base. And we appreciate you and we appreciate you making time. I know it's a busy schedule there at the RNC. So thank you for making this a priority honoring Charlie, remembering Charlie. And you're part of his legacy. And that's a really special thing and a really powerful thing. So God bless you, APL.
Starting point is 00:16:30 Keep up the good work. Thanks, guys. liens, levies, wage garnishment, bank account seizures, those aren't just words. Starting point is 00:17:48 another man that teaches so much about why america is great is dr ben carson he joins us now the american cornerstone institute he founded that and he's a great american you know him as a great doctor but also a great political leader and a great speaker. Dr. Carson, it's so good to have you. Thank you for making the time to remember Charlie with us this week. Thank you, Andrew. It's always good to be with you. And thank you for keeping the organization moving forward.
Starting point is 00:18:18 We appreciate it. Yeah, thank you. God bless you. And thank you for always being willing to do your part as well. I mean, people don't understand how much you're doing behind the scenes, and you've got your own podcast, and you're constantly speaking and touring, and you're always willing to help out.
Starting point is 00:18:34 And that was something Charlie loved about you. You're always, when we'd call you and say, Dr. Carson, we need you to do this event. We need a favor. You were always like, okay, I'll make a way for it. And that's a tremendous thing. I don't know that people know that about you, how generous and gracious you are with your time, but I hope people appreciate it. Well, I'm gracious and generous with it for good causes.
Starting point is 00:18:55 That's for sure. And recognizing the condition that our country is in right now and how important turning point is. is to that turnaround. It's absolutely something we all should be eager to get involved with. Well, so let's talk about this. We're remembering Charlie. You know, I started the show out by telling Blake that this overwhelming sense came over me
Starting point is 00:19:20 right before we went live. That it's tough not to think about that on September 9th, 2025, we were living our lives as if, you know, this was just, we were going to continue on. It was just a normal day like any other. and then everything changed on September 10th. And so, you know, you've spent so much time with Charlie. What do you want the world to remember?
Starting point is 00:19:43 What do you remember when you think about Charlie? Well, I think of somebody who was incredibly intelligent, very knowledgeable. Charlie read several books every week. And I used to really enjoy seeing him spar with people who thought they were intelligent, who thought they were knowledgeable. But he was always gracious. He never put people down in front of their faces or in front of an audience.
Starting point is 00:20:14 He was respectful, even though the questions that he asked them made it quite clear that they didn't know what they were talking about. But he let them do that to themselves. He didn't do it to them. Yeah, he was a... He was a Socratic method believer, and he would let other people tie themselves in knots
Starting point is 00:20:35 and sort of expose their lack of reasoning by asking repeated questions, right? And he would let them trip themselves up. But yeah, go ahead. And he always, before we went out on stage, he always prayed. And very earnest prayer, he was a true believer. And he sought wisdom from God. And that's so unusual, particularly for young people. I think he was a tremendous role model.
Starting point is 00:21:05 And you saw the crowds that he drew. Young people were curious about him. They wanted to know why did he believe what he believed, and he was having such an impact, and he was such an incredible threat to the left and to the leftist agenda. He understood the leftist agenda. Many people don't,
Starting point is 00:21:27 and they don't realize, that what's happening in our country is a coordinated movement that's been going on for decades. And, you know, I wrote in my latest book, The Periless Fight, about Congressman Hurlong of Florida, who read into the congressional record, the 45 goals of communism in America. That was 63 years ago. Charlie understood this. He understood why they were trying to gain control of the school systems, why they were trying to gain control of the teacher unions.
Starting point is 00:22:06 Many of the teacher unions throughout our country are Marxists. Why they were trying to gain control of the media, of television, of Hollywood, so they could actually change the culture. And they recognize that there's a method for, changing a system like ours, which is the reason that Khrushchev, decades ago, said that your grandchildren will live under our system, and we won't have to go to war to do it, because they knew it was possible to infiltrate our society and to attack our faith and our families, which are the foundational building blocks of a great nation that we became.
Starting point is 00:22:55 And Charlie fully understood that. I think President Trump understands that people who understand that become the enemies of those who want to fundamentally change. They will do anything they possibly can to damage or to get rid of those people. Yeah, I mean, that's why Charlie was so focused on young people. He was able to speak to everybody, but his special mission was for young people. and he always knew that we were one generation away from throwing it all away because it can take centuries to build a country as great as America, but just one sufficiently bad generation can decide to give it up,
Starting point is 00:23:36 give it all away, burn it all down. That's why he warned so much that we had that path. Mangionism or Maga, and what he was speaking to is we can either fix our country's problems, and Charlie was a great problem. fixer, a great problem spotter, fixer, do the work, or you can decide to just blow everything up and complain. And he was always so frustrated with people on the left or the right whose response to problems was to just scream and say burn everything down. He was fighting against nihilism that is in the cynicism that's setting in. Your thoughts. And he also recognized that if we're going
Starting point is 00:24:13 to solve these problems, we have to be able to talk to each other rather than just demonizing each other, throwing bombs all the time. He wanted to sit down, put the facts on the table, and then discuss them. I think he also recognized that the most radical left-wing person and the most radical right-wing person agree on the vast majority of things. And why do we take that 20% of things that they don't agree on and make that always the principal thing? He wanted to start, and he frequently started the conversation with leftists by talking about what we agreed with and then move on from there, and that was a very wise strategy. Yeah, I mean, he was absolutely one of the foremost exercisers of the First Amendment, I think,
Starting point is 00:25:08 obviously in modern American history, but probably throughout American history. But he was also, as you said earlier, he would pray before he went up. I didn't actually know that. So I know that we would pray back backstage and behind the scenes. I didn't realize he would do that with you before going up on stage. He was also a Christian martyr and a Christian evangelist. Maybe reflect on that, too, Dr. Carson. He very much believed in the Bible and every aspect of the Bible, which I thought was fascinating.
Starting point is 00:25:41 And, you know, the last few years, a lot of emphasis on the Sabbath, why we need a day of rest, why we need a day of reflection, a time to really concentrate on our role with our families, on our relationship with God. And if God created us, he knew we needed that. And, you know, I found that in my own life to be so important. I remember when I was in medical school. And, of course, there are a lot of tests and things that go on. comprehensive exams and they would usually be on Monday and I would go to church on the Sabbath I would go to the choir rehearsal on Friday nights when there was a big test coming up on Monday and my classmates said what are you doing and I said I'll
Starting point is 00:26:36 be fine and I always was I think it was great to be relaxed during the stressful period of the examination and the Sabbath brought that relaxation. So Charlie understood that, and he incorporated that into his life, as he did all the other aspects. He didn't pick and choose, like so many people who claim to be religious, they pick and choose what they find to be compatible with what they want to do as opposed to what God wants you to do.
Starting point is 00:27:11 Dr. Carson, I want to play some clips of you in Charlie at Amph. SOT 19. It doesn't matter where your ancestors came from. They came from England. They came from France. They came from Africa. They came from Sweden. They came from India.
Starting point is 00:27:28 You're better off here than you would be where they came from. And if our country was all that bad, why are these people trying to get in it? And when they get here, wouldn't they call their relatives and say, don't come here. This is a horrible place. This is not what we're saying. We're seeing they're still flooding in and record.
Starting point is 00:27:45 numbers. And that tells you that we have something that is worth fighting for and something that's worth preserving. And that was you. Charlie didn't appear in that frame, but you were seated right next to him having that conversation. The crowd was loving it. I want to keep playing some of these clips of Dr. Carson and Charlie at Amfest. It's just so good. I love seeing these clips with some of our friends together with Charlie. It just, I just think it's powerful. This is Amfest 2023. And really, Dr. Carson's hitting a central note that Charlie often hit. It's not 22. Specifically the students that are facing opposition on campus. You need to go out and you need to speak up. You need to talk about the things that made us into a great nation. Don't be ashamed.
Starting point is 00:28:33 You know, so often people just stand in the corner and stare at their feet and hope no one calls them a nasty name. That won't work anymore because we're on the precipice of what kind of country we're going to be. Are we going to be a country that is up for and by the people or up by and by the government? We have to decide that you have to be the missionaries, you have to go out there and do this. And if you don't do it, we're going to be lost. So our future is dependent upon each one of you. And everybody has a sphere of influence. Don't think because you're not Charlie Kirk. You don't have a sphere of influence. You do. And it's much bigger than you think it is. Amen. And by the way, if you guys aren't aware, that is, that is, uh, Dr. Carson pretty riled up.
Starting point is 00:29:18 That's about, I can tell. I actually, you know, I know you well enough. That was like, there was a lot of energy in that moment. And when you, you've gone around and you spoke to a bunch of our campuses and you've interacted with our students, you know, the movement's been a little discombobulated over the last year. I'm sure you've seen it. People are feeling the void of Charlie, not being there as this kind of glue figure in the movement. What's your message, Dr. Carson, right now, right? That was 2023. What is your message to them right now?
Starting point is 00:29:49 They're confused. Some of their influencers are, you know, I don't know, praising Vladimir Putin that they follow online. What's your message to them right now? How do you keep clear and steady and centered in this moment? Well, you have to have perspective and know what's going on. My message is learn who we are. Learn the history of your country.
Starting point is 00:30:12 You know, you'll find that there's nothing to be ashamed of. There's a lot to be proud of. And that we are not each other's enemies. And that it's okay to disagree about things. You know, people grow up in different settings, different situations are exposed to different things, and we'll have different opinions. But don't shut yourself off and say,
Starting point is 00:30:34 I can't discuss that. You can discuss it. And you can work with other. people working together. You know, one of the interesting things about our country early on, people came here from a lot of different places and in many cases they didn't speak the same language. You had people in communities of 50 or 100 families, a lot of people speaking this, that, or the other, not understanding each other and yet despite that they grew and they thrived. Why was that? It was because
Starting point is 00:31:09 they understood one important thing, the common good. That's a phrase that you see often in our founders, the common good. Not what's good for this group or that group or this neighborhood or that neighborhood, but what's good for all of us. And that unity and that sense of community was a huge factor in the rapid expansion
Starting point is 00:31:33 and success of our country. Yeah, I love that. And I think it's true. the shared fabric. And I love how you say that, given your unique perspective, as being growing up in a poor, I think you lived just with your mom,
Starting point is 00:31:49 right, single mother household, in Detroit, impoverished. You had every reason to complain, to look at America with scorn, to be one of those people that tried to tear down this country, and yet look at what you've achieved.
Starting point is 00:32:05 And so... And that was largely because of my mother, who had an even worse situation than I did. Growing up in rural Tennessee, dire poverty, bounced from house to house, less than a third grade education, married at age 13, trying to escape. And yet she understood that the way out was not to sit around and complain about the system
Starting point is 00:32:30 or what people were doing or saying. The way out was yourself, that you were the person who had the most to do it happened to you and she forced us to read books I didn't want to read books I wanted to be play and watch TV like everybody else but as I started reading those books particularly about successful people I began to realize what it requires to be successful doesn't require you know things like your skin color or things that you can't help. It requires things that you are in control of. And I got to the point
Starting point is 00:33:14 where if I had five minutes, I was reading a book. I was always reading. It totally expanded my universe instead of the streets of Boston or Detroit. Now, my universe was the whole planet. And it gave me enormous confidence. I went from the bottom of the class to the top of the class. and I realized that that wasn't anything that anybody gave to me, but it was taking advantage of opportunities that existed. I could go to the library. We didn't have any money, but the library didn't cost anything unless you turned the book in late.
Starting point is 00:33:51 So what a great opportunity that was, and what a difference it made. And then, you know, I started learning all kinds of things. I go down to the Detroit Institute of Arts, which is one of the great art galleries in the world. And it roamed through all those different rooms and galleries until I knew all the pictures who painted them, what period it represented, all those kinds of things I learned on my own.
Starting point is 00:34:17 And they went on to pay big dividends later on, including learning classical music because my wife is a classical violinist, and we have never gotten together, had it not been from my knowledge. Dr. Carson, you are an American treasure and your story continues to inspire. It's one of the reasons Charlie loved having you around and you never gave into any of the noise.
Starting point is 00:34:41 You know, if they were hurling insults at Charlie and they were calling them a racist and you were always like, let me let me go on stage with you, Charlie and we'll tell them where to stick it. And I just loved your willingness to always stand shoulder to shoulder with your friends and your allies. and as you said, to be a part of a good cause and to help Charlie supercharged turning point. It's so many different junctures.
Starting point is 00:35:05 And so we honor you because you honored Charlie, and we're grateful for your contribution to Charlie's life and his legacy. And it truly was very important, Dr. Carson. Well, thank you for what you continue to do. You know, we're all part of our march, an army here. You know, Benjamin Franklin, when he came out of that Constitution Hall, said when he was asked whether we have here a monarchy or a republic he said a republic
Starting point is 00:35:32 if you can keep it in the 250 years I don't think we have faced a challenge as severe as the one that we're facing right now and we all have to recognize that we are in a war for the soul of this country this is not a time to shrink back because if we do the other side will fill in the gap amen Dr. Ben Carson
Starting point is 00:35:55 Great American patriot. One of our heroes around here. God bless him. Midterm elections are coming up and control of Congress is on the line. If there's one thing, financial markets hate, it's uncertainty. An uncertainty is exactly what the next few months are going to bring.
Starting point is 00:36:14 In 2024, if it taught us anything, it's that uncertainty breeds volatility. Between now and November, could be one of the most volatile stretches for the stock market and the economy. So you owe it to yourself to have a plan. Here's the good part. There's a simple way to protect what you've built, and that's gold. Physical gold and silver, let you hedge against that volatility. And there's no better partner
Starting point is 00:36:37 for it than noble gold investments. For over a decade, noble gold has helped everyday Americans protect their wealth with precious metals. They make it simple. They make it easy and they make it safe. You can trust them. Give them a call 877-646-5347. That's 877-6-4-3-47, or visit them online. online at noblegoldinvestments.com slash kirk and find out how to protect yourself, your wealth, and your family. Noblegoldinvestments.com slash kirk. Election day's coming. Don't let it arrive without a plan.
Starting point is 00:37:08 And here's the best part. To celebrate America's 250th, just mention the Charlie Kirk show when you call Noble Gold, and they'll send you a free 10 ounce silver bar when you open a new qualified account. Mention the Charlie Kirk Show, that's all you got to do, and they'll do the rest. Who's broad stripes and bright star parts thee. We're so gallantly streaming. Here's the hard part. And the rocket's red glare.
Starting point is 00:38:03 The bombs bursting. Our flag was still. What a moment. What a moment with Charlie Kirk and Rob Schneider. Singing the national anthem with a bunch of students. It's one of the clips that will just bring a smile your face. Rob Snyder joins us now. He's a total all-star for making time. He is literally on set of a movie right now. And he carved this out. God bless you, Rob Schneider. It looks great, man.
Starting point is 00:38:43 You know, I saw him the other day. He did not have that hairder. Yes. Explain yourself. We're making grown-ups three right now with Adam Sandler. It's his birthday. Adam's birthday. Tell him happy birthday for us. I will. Thank you, Andrew. And this was how I looked when I met him. So this is what he makes. Making us all look like. It's his way of not trying to age, I guess. So this was actually a hairstyle that you were rocking in the real world at one point in time. I think five decades ago. Yeah. Well, we met in 1988. And it was a thinner version of this. Yes, he's been very grateful to. I think it looks great. I think it looks great. Rob, you had some really iconic moments with Charlie.
Starting point is 00:39:27 on campus at our events. You were one of the few guys in Hollywood that were willing to associate publicly with Charlie. And I know that meant the world to him, but he meant the world to you as well. And so tell us about what Charlie Kirk meant to Rob Schneider. Well, first of all, I didn't understand what this was about. I didn't understand the concept of a young person trying to galvanize other young people to do something, to do something patriotic, to do something for our Lord. for Jesus Christ.
Starting point is 00:39:59 I didn't think, I didn't know that that was a possibility. And not only was it a possibility, but you had a human being, an American patriot, who loved this country so much and loved his Lord and Savior so much. His goal was to bring people closer to Christ first. His second goal was to preserve this, the God-given freedoms that were granted to us
Starting point is 00:40:22 under the greatest experiment in freedom the world has ever known. And it just, I just couldn't believe that there was somebody that existed like that. And he really was, to me, Charlie Kirk was a miracle. I mean, and I said, I texted you last night and it's going to make me cry. But I said, you know, Charlie was the closest thing to an angel of anyone I've ever met. I was inspired by him and blown away by him and humbled by him. how much he had done in his short 31 years,
Starting point is 00:40:57 what he has accomplished will last for centuries. I think what we really had, and one of the last texts I had to him, and Andrew, you know, you were so much closer to him and knew him for so many years. And he just, but I was able to really understand the gravity and the depth and the gravitas and the brilliance. And I said to him, you know, in our text,
Starting point is 00:41:18 I said, we have, America has someone with the same principles and the same elegant eloquence and the same brilliance of our founding fathers. His name is Charlie Kirk. And he just said, thank you. And really does, what he did was he was able to
Starting point is 00:41:37 dig into what, and remind people, what it was necessary for this incredible institution, for this incredible experiment of American freedom under God, under our creator, what it needs to continue, and that is courage.
Starting point is 00:41:53 And that's the one thing, you know, that he asked people and that he asked for me to ask people is 1% more courage a year. Just 1%. Have that extra conversation. Do that a little bit extra to look into your founding fathers. Find it what John Adams said about this great nation. Look up what Thomas Jefferson and how old he was and the age of Alexander Hamilton and James Madison. What they were able to do at a young age. because the idea that's been, you know, these children are being told, these young people are being told that they can't do things and they shouldn't be able to do incredible things. But look what Charlie was able to do in his short life before he was stolen so terribly from us by these leftist liars. I mean, it was an ideology of leftism that murdered Charlie Kirk. It was this lies that he was a racist, he was never a racist, lies that he was hateful, he was never hateful. He was loving. And there is no proof at all in any of those, in any of his statements, in any of the videos, but he was anything else, but wanting to hear people who disagreed with him, wanting to share his love of Jesus Christ and bring people to the Lord, wanting to share his patriotism and inspire others to get involved because he knew that's what was what was required for us to continue in this incredible gift, God-given gift of our freedoms.
Starting point is 00:43:16 And I'm forever changed by Charlie, just as I know, Andrew, you are. Yeah, I mean, Blake, myself, everybody that's in this building right now, everybody's on this campus right now, has been changed by Charlie in one way, shape, or form or another. And, you know, but you had this amazing gift with Charlie. You, you know, when you were singing that national anthem, you just, you took your moment and you were singing, like, fall into the mic. And Charlie's just like, look at him. He's loving it, letting you be you. And you were a happy warrior alongside Charlie. So you guys paired so I think it must have seemed strange to people, probably. Like here's Rob Schneider, comedian, actor from Hollywood, with Charlie Kirk, serious political activist guy. And yet you guys had this great chemistry together.
Starting point is 00:44:04 Here's another clip of you guys joking around before a campus stop. SOT 37. Hi, I'm Charlie Kirk. I'm Rob Schneider. And today, what are we doing? Well, you can do it. You can do it. Let's go talk to some kids.
Starting point is 00:44:18 to some voters. Let's get these voters voting right now. We'll see you in a bit. Thank you. Apparently that got 40 million views. 40 million views. According to Ryan. Yeah. And then you know, people are the last, who is that midget next to Charlie Kirk? You know, it's funny, right? Because Charlie 6.5, I remember the internet thought he was like at first 510. And then they said he was 6.1. And there was this whole internet controversy because there was a picture with Trump. who also was 6-1, and they were like, why does Trump look so much shorter? He's shrinking, or he lied about his side.
Starting point is 00:44:54 And I actually am writing this op-ed. It's going to come out tomorrow. But Charlie was 6-5, but somehow he even felt bigger than 6-5. I don't know, maybe from your vantage even more so. No, he was a gentle giant. And I would just say that the thing about Charlie that strikes me that puts a smile on my face today was his incredible generosity. And when he said, if you disagree, come to the front.
Starting point is 00:45:18 of the line. And he meant that. But he also, I saw him do this, moderating this event in July of last year, the last time I was with Charlie. And it was, you know, discussing, you know, a controversial topic and with two people. But the generosity he showed between two adversaries who were talking. And his goal was to have a peaceful discourse and to keep it calm and respectful. And that's really what he was about. I mean, to me, it's a loss also to the left because you lost somebody who loved you. You lost somebody who loved this country and it would have fought for you just as hard. He didn't have a political leaning bone in his body. He would tell you and Charlie would say, I don't have a problem with liberals. We can have dinner. We can get together. We can argue.
Starting point is 00:46:08 We can have debate. It's leftists that don't want to listen that claim tolerance but are intolerant. The most intolerant people are the ones who speak and demand tolerance of others. But he had an incredible knack of communicating ideas and doing it in a loving way. And that's the difference between every other person in the political realm. It's because Charlie was doing it for a higher reason. And that puts the pressure on Andrew, on you, on Blake and myself. Because we have to take our own egos out of the equation, our own vanity, the own potential to think about how we can raise ourselves in an issue.
Starting point is 00:46:47 Charlie was about this, bringing people to Christ first, preserving our freedoms, and educating people, bringing them up. And it's a reminder that he always had a higher purpose. And that was for supporting Jesus Christ and this great nation. And that's a great reminder for all of us as what we need to do as well. Rob, we've talked a lot here and talking with you previously that a lot of tremendous good has come out of Charlie's legacy. I'm looking through our emails. I've found multiple emails people testifying. I got baptized because of Charlie got me over the hump either before or after his martyrdom and other people I know.
Starting point is 00:47:28 We've seen tremendous good, but we've seen it's like we believe the devil is real. we believe he's going to act where there's tremendous good. He's going to be on that like a fly on honey. We see a lot of evil from the left that they're holding costume contests, Charlie Kirk look-alike contests. They're chomping at the bit for tomorrow to ridicule the people who remember him. But we see another strand of evil as well, which is people have seen the love for Charlie,
Starting point is 00:47:58 the love for Charlie's family, and they seem to have thought, how can I divert that? How can I make that about myself? How can I ruin that? And so they've attacked Erica. You know who yesterday was saying, oh, Erica wrote this op-ed.
Starting point is 00:48:16 It could have been better written, like just the nastiest stuff. We see a lot of people. That's their natural reaction to this. And I guess the floor is yours. What do you make of that sort of attitude people have? I remember M. Scott Peck, who wrote, he's the first guy who wrote the road less,
Starting point is 00:48:33 he wrote, he's the first self-help book, The Road Less Traveled, which was on the self, it was literally the first one, and it was on the bestseller list for 25 years. And it was really about a spiritual book written by an atheist who later became a born-again Christian.
Starting point is 00:48:50 And he said something to me, after he became a Christian, I went to his lectures, and he said something that shook me. He said, if the devil exists, he's saying, don't make waves. Just go along with everything. Why would you want to get involved in this?
Starting point is 00:49:07 So yes, evil exists. And, you know, the devil's greatest trick is to make us think he's not real. And so the fact of the matter is we are in a spiritual war, but it's not an even 50-50 deal. There is far more good than bad in the world. But good gets that, but the evil does get that attention. and there is an attack. I mean, for all the people who ever attacked
Starting point is 00:49:33 and said Charlie Kirk was a racist, was, you know, hated gay people, which is not factual, there's no factual proof of any of it. What he was, was a law under God and God's laws and loved people and hated the sin, loved
Starting point is 00:49:49 the sinner. But you never had anyone attacking him on the way he looked, on the way he dressed, on, you know, so that's what Eric is having to deal with. Erica is a lovely person who did not ask to be put in this position. She was thrust into it, and she has risen to the job. And I think she is an incredible honor for all young people to realize what you can do when you're thrust in that situation.
Starting point is 00:50:15 She's a wonderful mother. She's a great leader, and she's a wonderful Christian. And so, of course, these people who are effective and these beautiful people are going to be attacked. And so it is important that we stand up against it. And just know that in the face of this, that there's going to be this rise of evil, there's also going to be a rise in good. And we're going to be, there's going to be challenging for us. And that's why it's so important to heed the words of what Charlie Kirk said was,
Starting point is 00:50:44 be courageous, stand up and oppose this. And as far as the ugliness that'll come, you know, tomorrow, we have to know that that is something that fades and doesn't last. And there's, you know, talk about. about no borders. Hell has no borders. Heaven does. There's a requirement for heaven. You're going to get there. And the afterlife, you know, when you're done, you're either going to get justice or you're going to get grace. And justice for all of us fall short of the glory of God. All of us do. Or by the grace of Jesus Christ. That's all we have. So you want grace.
Starting point is 00:51:23 And so part of that grace is to just know that and to not take it to heart. And it's hard because, you know, Erica and Charlie were the half my age. And I just know the intensity of what can happen in the social media and the things that, truthfully, it's been such a big part of young people's lives. They don't remember what it was like before. But the fact of the matter is, you know, we are going to be persecuted as Christians. We just are. I mean, if you look at all the apostles, I mean, they were, they must have seen something spectacular to, they must have seen something out of this world. They must have seen truly a man who came back from the dead to be, to allow themselves to be killed so brutally and to stand up for something and not turn their back against it.
Starting point is 00:52:15 And so I think that charges to us to not turn our back against what Charlie stood for and to stand up for, for our lord and and stand up for what we can do for our nation and that that's the thing Andrew that was really kind of stunning to me is when you talk to you know Frank Turrick who's I feel like Frank lost a friend and I lost the friend and we ended up with each other and I'm sorry for frank that he got me but it's but I think though that we we have to be charged and and energized by this and know that there's a calling for us. And that calling is to fight for our country. And it's really painful when you learn that you have these pastors at these churches
Starting point is 00:53:01 that aren't energizing their congregation to go out and vote. It's like, let's get out there and vote. I mean, that's the difference between what Charlie warned us about was this, you know, what's really the danger to America, the biggest danger more than Pearl Harbor, more than 9-11, is this Islamic, you know, combining with this, the leftism, communism, to take down America, as Charlie said, to slit the throats of Americans. So, of America.
Starting point is 00:53:30 And that's something that he was really concerned about, just literally the day before he died. And that's something we should be. We need to get, you know, mosques, 98% of them vote. And, you know, we need to get 98% of our Christians to vote. So organize, organize and vote. Yeah, Rob. I think what you said is really beautiful. It's not a 50-50 fight.
Starting point is 00:53:52 We know who wins this spiritual battle in the end. And how amazing for each and every one of us out there that God chose you for this particular mission. And this is our lot. This is your lot. And Charlie would not want us to shrink back. He would want us to forge ahead. And we have his kids to think about and our kids to think about.

And here's the deal. We're talking a lot about what Charlie believed, his legacy, his mission. But there's nothing more central to his mission than the fact that he was willing to move
Starting point is 00:55:47 to operate to take action. Blake, I think, has coined one of my favorite expressions of Charlie, or the highest agency person we know. The highest agency person that we've ever met. He was willing to do whatever it took to solve problems, and he thought he could be the guy to solve them. It's why we built Chase the Vote. That's why we are building out the red wall.
Starting point is 00:56:09 That's why we partnered with Cliff Maloney and Citizens Alliance. So your reflection on this, you know, is we remember the totality of who Charlie was this week on the one-year anniversary. Talk about that. Him in the field, him with the grassroots. Yeah, I think one of the biggest things that always stuck with me is losers don't legislate, right? This idea that so many people want to pontificate, so many people want to talk about ideas, they want to talk about the principles or legislation they support. The left plays no games, right? The left understands you must win, you must win electorally if you're going to decide the policies that we live under. So I always say that Charlie understood
Starting point is 00:56:46 the campus effort. He understood the young minds. He understood persuading the next generation because we were losing that battle for 30, 40 years based on the polling, right? I mean, young people were going to the left. And I think Charlie understood that we had to win the hearts and minds of young people,
Starting point is 00:57:03 but it wasn't enough. There were so many people that got that but didn't understand that there's a second tier to this. And that tier is winning elections. Not because you just want to win to say you won, but because if you want to dictate the rules that we live, under. If you want to understand what it means to actually have an impact, you have to win.
Starting point is 00:57:22 But so many people don't realize the work that that takes. And Charlie always said, do the work, knock that extra door, because he understood that if we're going to adapt to the rules, if we're going to compete, we have to fight fire with fire. We have to beat the Democrats at their own game. And I think so much of Charlie's legacy was saying, no excuses. We have to do what needs to be done to win. and I'm hoping that we can live out that legacy, not just in 2026, but obviously moving forward in 2028.
Starting point is 00:57:51 Yeah, you know, it's interesting. I've been getting so many comments or requests for comments from like people in the media, and it's weird. They want to talk about Charlie's absence and the felt absence in this midterm race. And, you know, what does it mean? Was it mean for young voters?
Starting point is 00:58:07 And I'm so, like, frustrated by that question because of course there is an absence. Of course we all feel the absence. But if you think that Charlie just snapped his finger one day and all of a sudden he knew how to galvanize young voters, like completely mistaken. He started turning point in 2012. And people don't remember after 2020, guess what they did to Charlie Kirk? They blamed him for that loss. They blamed him for the fact that young people didn't come out for Donald Trump in 2020.
Starting point is 00:58:35 They said turning point smoking mirrors. Charlie Kirk is a gripper. They did it in 22 as well. They did it. Yeah. And so what did he do? He kept iterating. He kept trying to figure it out.
Starting point is 00:58:44 He kept toying with the formula. And that's when we had the big breakthrough. And I believe it started in 2023. We started seeing the campus crowds grow. The viral clips started spreading. And he started doubling and tripling down on the campus stops. But that took doing to figure out the right next. One of the most inspiring things about Charlie, we have a natural bias.
Starting point is 00:59:04 And this is just how humans like to imagine things. We like to imagine tremendous heroes practically just falling from the sky. And they're naturally brilliant. and they're able to just do great deeds because they're like Achilles and the elate or something. But to your point, Charlie was told, you know, there was these conspiracy theories that he was sort of like built in a petri dish,
Starting point is 00:59:24 grown in a petri dish by billionaire donors or something like this. And it's the exact opposite. What Charlie is such a testament to is what basically any of us are capable of doing. That Charlie, all it was was just that higher level of agency, and probably being 6'5, But that higher level, that slightly, politicians don't have such a good test. That slightly higher level of agency to say, here is what I want to do. Here is the problem I identify.
Starting point is 00:59:52 Okay, what can I now immediately do to try to do that? Or that sign he had in his office, the three things on it, I might get the word wrong, but it's how can I add value to the world today? How can I help somebody today? How can I honor God today? Those three questions are what he's always asking himself. And then he gets that answer. And he immediately puts it into practice. and you do that thousands of times, and you are Charlie Kirk.
Starting point is 01:00:13 There are so many of these political consultants, though, and people in our orbits, right, some of them might be friends. That is extremely rare to be a problem solver, to be somebody in the political arena that is actually saying, hey, listen, what is the left doing? What are we doing? Why aren't we doing what they're doing? What is working that we should take?
Starting point is 01:00:34 What's missing? And coming up with a solution, it's much easier to be on autopilot, right? This is why so many of the GOP can. consultants and I get in trouble every time I say this, they want to do their television ads, they want to make their 15% commission. Nobody wants to have to manage these door-to-door programs, these ground efforts to book hotels, to do the work that we're doing. It's a pain in the rear end. Right? It's so much easier. But that was the beauty of Charlie was saying, look, here's a problem. Let's think about this from not just a high level, but let's get in the weeds. Right. Let's go out
Starting point is 01:01:05 and knock the doors and talk to people and figure out how does this work. Why is the left doing this? but I'm telling you guys nobody did that and even today very few people are willing to look at the problems and then create solutions and you see it's why for example it's why President Trump clearly had so much respect for Charlie he'd mentioned this that there's endless people who will say nice things about the president or will support him
Starting point is 01:01:29 you know it's easy to have a lot of sycophants but why he clearly thought Charlie was special is Charlie could say I'll get it done Mr. President and then it went and happened you'd make that rally happen he would make that get out the vote effort happen. He would get that crowd to show up for something on short notice. And Charlie did that not just for the president of the United States. He would do it for other candidates. He would just do it for businessmen, people who wanted to get involved. If he told you he would get something done, he followed up on that. Charlie was a guy who delivered. And at a level, you know,
Starting point is 01:02:00 people ask me about replacing Charlie. And we all know you cannot do that. But I always say it's not just replacing, you have to understand the things that he was world class at. You have to understand the things that he was one of the best in the world at. Number one, the guy raised over a hundred million dollars a year for an organization. Do you know how rare that is by itself? Number two, the guy was an advisor to the president of the United States of America. That in itself is one person, one item that he knocked off that like, you know, very few people get to do. Then he had the daily show. We're sitting here right now. You're talking two hours, five days a week. He used to be three hours. You've got the campus tours where he's having these actual debates across the
Starting point is 01:02:39 country. I mean, it goes on and on for the things that he's able to do at a level that nobody else has ever been able to do. And he was able to do all of them. So when I talk about, you know, and you mentioned the media, they're blowing me up this week too, talking about the absence of Charlie and what does this mean? And I always say to them, you're never going to replace a Charlie Kirk. But you have to find pieces of what he did and we have to try to develop leaders that are able to handle that. It's a very difficult task. And I want people to understand. So what is turning point doing? we have over 50 influencers media personalities students chapter leaders that are all being part of something called pick up the mic and they're going to do over 300 different stops all across the country yeah they're not going to have 3,000 people show up in front of them but they might have a couple dozen they might have a couple hundred and they're going to have those debates and we're going to clip them and we're going to put them you know and you never know like some of those voices might rise to the top and some of the amazing people that we have doing it include will wit uh John Doyle, many others, right? Nick Freitas has been on fire with you guys. Yeah, exactly. So some of
Starting point is 01:03:44 these people are really, they want to go back out there. And it's interesting, because some people are like, I would never do that because, you know, what happened to charge? These guys want to go back out there and have the debates. And it's amazing. And we have security and we have all that kind of stuff that we can do. But the point is, if you think about it, it's almost like, that's 50 people. It's not just Charlie. That means it's almost like 50 times the work for Turning Point. And we're doing it because we know that we have to. We're still doing the campus tour and we're still chasing votes actually even more so than we were before we have more staff this is and i tell people we are light years ahead of where we were in 2024 the system that charlie
Starting point is 01:04:19 helped build and this roadmap that we have towards 2028 building the red wall is going forward it's marching forward in earnest and commit 100 we have a minute left in the segment but everybody needs to get involved in this here's my big ass to everybody out there if you're wondering how can i get involved, how can you fight on the way that Charlie would want? Come join us, whether it's here in Arizona, Nevada, New Hampshire, TPaction.com slash 100, TPaction.com slash 100. Look, we'll pay for you to come out here. We'll put you up in a hotel. We've got Tyler Boyer steering the ship here. Citizens Alliance, Turning Point, this is Charlie's vision to make sure that we have people on the ground in the key redwall state. So I want to say that
Starting point is 01:05:01 one more time. Tpaction.com slash 100. You, anybody you know, folks out there, focus. Stop arguing online. Come out and make a real difference in the states that once again, this isn't just 2026. It's 2028 working backwards.
Starting point is 01:05:19 Tpaction.com slash 100. That's how you make a difference. Listen, there's so many things to celebrate over this last, you know, Trump's second term. You know, violence at, I think it's murder rates or at the last. lowest they've been since 1900. You've got net migration of foreigners out of this country. You've got the DEI getting squashed out of the government. We have the lowest employment level of the federal
Starting point is 01:05:42 government since we've had since 1966, and they keep slashing. I mean, these are huge generational wins. There was another stat that came out. Wins that would have never happened with any other administration. Yes, exactly. There was another stat that came out that they've fired nearly 200 left-wing immigration judges and replaced them with 360 America First Patriot judges to get these people the hell out. And I'm telling you, none of this happens without Charlie Kirk. None of this happens with people blackpilling and dooming online. It happens when you commit to chasing ballots with turning point action. Commit 100. Go to tpaction.com slash 100. Stop giving in to the incessant noise because listen, it is a binary choice, but we have a lot of good things to sell. It's not just the
Starting point is 01:06:27 lesser of two evils. We're actually doing generational work here, and you can be a part of making sure that work continues. Before he ever stepped onto a debate stage or behind a microphone, Charlie understood something really important that if you want to lead, you first have to learn. Charlie believed that ideas shaped character, conviction, and courage. That's why he spent years studying the classics, the American founding and the Bible through Hillsdale College's free online courses. He would rave about these courses all the time. These free online courses are taught by Hillsdale College professors and draw from the same great books and enduring ideas studied on Hillsdale's campus. Hillsdale's newest free online course is the Iliad, where Professor Stephen
Starting point is 01:07:10 Smith guides students through Homer's great epic of honor, courage, friendship, leadership, and the pursuit of true greatness. For nearly 3,000 years, the Iliad has shaped the Western imagination. It tells the story of Achilles as he confronts injustice, rage, grief, responsibility and the terrible costs of war. But Homer's epic is more than a story of ancient battles. It raises enduring questions about courage, duty, leadership, sacrifice, and self-command. Achilles is the greatest warrior among the Greeks, but Homer asks whether strength alone is enough to make a man truly great. In this new free online course, you'll follow Achilles through the defining trials of his life and discover why one of the greatest works of Western literature
Starting point is 01:07:49 still speaks to the permanent questions of human life. Charlie understood that learning isn't just about gaining knowledge. It's about forming the mind and character needed to face the challenges of life with wisdom and courage. You can enroll today completely free and take this class or their 40 plus other free online courses. Just visit Charlie for Hillsdale.com to start learning today. That's Charlie for Hillsdale.com.
Starting point is 01:08:13 Learn deeply. Think clearly, lead boldly and carry it forward just like Charlie. Cliff, why don't you tell people about the races you're looking at? is all an ode to Charlie, by the way. How are things shaping up? Everybody's dooming. How do we be a part of the solution? Yeah, I think being part of the solution is doing the real work, right? So once again, I'm going to pitch our Red Wall program, which is Citizens Alliance and Turning Point coming together to do what we would call the real work, not the arguing on Twitter, not the screaming back and forth, not the doomsday. So we've got Nevada, we've got Arizona, we've got New Hampshire, TP Action.com. You're that East Coast guy. So tell us about this.
Starting point is 01:08:54 Tyler will give me some credit for this. We have been in New Hampshire since 2018. Okay, we flipped the New Hampshire State House in 2022. So we've got a Patriot as a speaker. Which was a tough cycle. Yeah, it wasn't supposed to happen. We've got a Patriot. And Jason Osborne is the majority leader.
Starting point is 01:09:09 Jason Osborne is now turning point action endorsed, running for speaker because the current speaker is retiring. So we're rooting for Osborne. We've got to hold that majority. But here is the biggest sleeper of the 2026 election. And Tyler might get mad at me for being a little too loud about this. The U.S. Senate race, which yesterday Sununu did win the nomination, turning point action endorsed once again.
Starting point is 01:09:33 Sununu has a shot to flip this seat. Here's why it's important. If we flip this seat in New Hampshire, it becomes almost impossible for us to lose the U.S. Senate. Now, people could argue if it's the worst day in the world. But if we flip a blue seat to red, it becomes almost impossible for them to have the U.S. Senate. So are we doing the work working backwards from 2028, as Charlie always envisioned? Yes, but there are key races.
Starting point is 01:10:01 You've got Andy Biggs. Obviously, you guys are all in right here in Arizona. We've got the governor's race and the Senate race in New Hampshire. And obviously, Lombardo back up for re-election in Nevada. And we have Juan Siski-Mani. We've got Jay Feely. I mean, there's a lot of, I mean, the House could come through Arizona as well. So that's why we keep saying, like, be a part of this.
Starting point is 01:10:22 You get to, first of all, we're going to train you up. We're going to give you 100 names. This is how it works. You pull the app up on your phone. We deploy you to a part of the town or part of Maricopa or somewhere else. And you literally just follow those hundred names. You text them, you call them, you knock on their doors, and you work those names. And by the way, if you're really good and you get through those hundred names, you need 100 more, we can do that for you.
Starting point is 01:10:45 And that is your job. 100. If you multiply that times, thousands of volunteers, you can make a huge difference. You could put Andy Biggs into the as a governor, because we don't have a governor's mansion in Arizona. I always want to use that expression, but we don't. But that we could literally turn Arizona into the Florida of the West. That is what we could do in Arizona. I just want to get people hyped up because if they think, oh, this is a tough year.
Starting point is 01:11:07 I'm remembering 2018, we lost a bunch of seats in the House, but we actually gained a seat in the Senate because of hero Rick Scott, who unseated an incumbent Democrat senator in Florida, 10,000 votes. We also won that governor's race, only a few thousand votes. Think about how much it has helped us nationwide that we eeked out those two wins. That's why we're able to confirm all of those judges that Trump was raming through in the second half of his term. That's why we basically arguably were able to win in 24 because we weren't pouring resources into Florida because we're able to win it by 20 points. And listen, El-Sayed is down according to the latest polling in Michigan. So you think Michigan, New Hampshire, okay? You start piecing together some of these wins, and the board starts looking pretty darn good.
Starting point is 01:11:53 And you've got to remember, there's way fewer at true, like, swing districts left. So it's a much harder slog for the Democrats to really claw back huge numbers like we saw in 2018. The board has changed. What other races, Cliff, do we need to be looking at? Yeah, I mean, listen, there's plenty of those congressional races in each of those states that are going to be in play. We've got New Hampshire won, Anthony D. Lorenzo, who won yesterday. there are tons of opportunities. But Andrew, I want to double down on one thing you said.
Starting point is 01:12:22 The commit 100 program, the reason it's so cool is if you're tired of politics and you think it's all this loud and it's just noise, you know out of your 100 people who actually vote, right? You get assigned to 100 people and guess what? Not saying you want to take credit, but you also could be held accountable. How impactful are you at communicating and driving voters to make sure they show up? So be a part of something, right? instead of just screaming into the ether, come out to one of these swing states, being one of the swing districts, and actually make a difference to try to win one of these seats. The actual power and control of Congress is going to be determined by just a couple of these seats, whether it's Arizona, Nevada, or New Hampshire.
Starting point is 01:13:04 You've got the U.S. Senate races. We've got governor races in all of them. But if you want to come out here, TPaction.com slash 100. We're going to take care you. You're going to be put up in a hotel with our volunteers, with our paid staff. But it's about being part of something bigger than yourself. And it's all of those people that are passionate that care about Charlie's legacy. They care about the work that we're doing at Citizens Alliance at Turning Point.
Starting point is 01:13:28 This is the way to make a difference is to stop sitting on the sidelines, jump onto the field, put on your pads, do some blocking and tackling because we know what works. How do we know it works? We did this in 2024. We pulled it off. Guess where we ripped out, ripped off most of our best ideas from? The left. The left. You had about a 20-year head start on us on this front, which is why they started winning close elections time and time again.
Starting point is 01:13:51 And we kept scratching our head going, what the heck just happened? When Kerry Lake lost by 17,000 votes, shenanigans aside, doesn't matter. You're too big to rig. We could have won that race had we been doing the work. You know, we get these emails, by the way, all the time. Like, don't tell people to vote early. Listen, if you have a, you know, a tire go out on election day, you might not. get to vote, okay? Charlie would always say, you do not leave anything to chance, always have a
Starting point is 01:14:17 plan to vote whether, you know, remember, if your plan is to vote early and you forget or your kid gets sick or your parent gets sick or you have a work emergency, you can still vote on election day. Drop it off, drop it off in person. Do whatever you do that feels good for you. Just make sure it happens. I mean, remember, you would think about the Senate race in Nevada, uh, Sandoval, no, it wasn't Sandoval. It was a Lack salt. It's a big snowstorm that day in northern Nevada. a bunch of people stay at home. Whatever, you never know what's going to happen. The point is, get it done and be a part of the solution.
Starting point is 01:14:48 Charlie would be, you know, screaming from the rooftops. Go, be a part of something bigger than yourself. Join Commit 100. Do it today. And honor Charlie this week, this would be a perfect week to do it. Cliff Maloney, God bless you, man. Thank you for constantly putting boots on the ground and doing the hard work, the blocking and tackling that actually wins.
Starting point is 01:15:05 Appreciate you guys, man. For more on many of these stories and news you can trust, go to Charlie Kirk.com.
