That's like the racist starter pack.
Oh, I love that startup.
You can pick a racist starter pack right here.
Bald head, a wraparound sunglass.
Hello.
Beard that only goes on the chin.
Only chin.
Mm-hmm.
Doesn't go up.
No mustache.
Nothing.
Hey, everyone, and welcome back to another episode of the comments section show,
starring me, your fave.
Nobody cares about me.
Anyways, on to the amazing guests.
Today we have the one, the only, the iconic, the legendary.
Markell Washington.
Hi, guys.
So happy to have you.
Thank you.
I'm so excited to be here.
Literally, it's an honor.
It's an absolute honor and a privilege.
Me and Markell go way back.
And by that, I mean, we run into each other
at every single event.
Literally.
I feel like the brands just know
that just pair us together.
They do.
That's what I'm saying.
Every single one we run into each other,
and Markell has always been the sweetest and the kindness
and the most, the highest vibes.
You know, honestly, I'm just like,
every time I see Drew, I'm like,
let me stay on her good side.
And also we found out that we're both Virgos.
This is true.
We love, we love Virgo.
September 14th, Drew is September 18.
Period.
Beyonce's, September 4th.
Just thought I'd throw it out there.
Am I saying that we're all just like Beyonce?
Honestly, and you know Michael Jackson's a Virgo as well.
Oh, period.
Look at us.
We're walking amongst giants.
I'm like, girl, the legacies just continue.
Are all the most iconic people of Virgos?
I don't know.
Just look at the facts.
The facts are laid down in front of y'all.
Let's look at the receipts.
Come on, and y'all love to quote print, so read the bucks.
And Markell told me that you're going to Miss Taylor Swift tonight.
I am, and I'm so excited because it's so funny.
I haven't been to an heiress tour.
I haven't seen Taylor Live at all.
Yes, same.
And everybody said that I was going to be converted after I see her.
So I'm really excited to just kind of go and see what all the hype's about.
And the only thing that I'm like really, well, the thing that I'm really excited about, I only have three friendship bracelets.
So I'm excited to walk around the stadium and see how many little people or just people in general that I can swindle out of their bracelets.
Because I'm like, I got three braces so far, but I can't give them away because these little three girls had gave them to me at VITCon.
So I just got like a little starter pack and I'm going to just walk around the stadium and be like, can we be friends?
As soon as they say, well, give me your bracelets and then I'll know it's real.
Prove it.
Give me one.
Give me actually three.
Right.
Three.
You can't have mine, but give me some.
Give me some.
You have 47.
You don't need that many.
Your wrist is going to get tired.
I loved, I loved the friendship bracelet apart.
That was so cute.
Thankfully, some people gave me some so I could trade, which is so sweet and fun and fresh.
I love it.
And also, I saw Taylor Swift a couple days ago.
You're going to see her tonight.
She's amazing, incredible.
Love her.
She's a wonderful performer.
and then we're both going to go see Beyonce
in September.
I'm like, Jesus sake
well, we're just knocking down doors at this point
and it's so funny.
We're going to go see our burgo sister.
Hello.
And I'm like, Beyonce, girl,
we need to, you better come through.
The part that I'm like,
I'm hoping everybody is on their Zoom
because I swear if somebody
when she, look around everybody on mute,
let a bitch talk,
I'm a power punch that bitch in the back of her esophagus.
When I tell you, I'm a judo chop motor combat.
get over here and snatch that bitch esophagus out of her trachea.
I'm like, please, I want L.A. to be the stop to get it.
Because usually when she says it, there'll be mute for a second.
And then I'll start cheering.
But the proper thing is supposed to be, look around everybody on mute.
And everybody has to be on mute.
Look around this.
Me and my crew, Big Energy.
That's like what it's supposed to be.
And then we're supposed to cheer.
And I just see, I think Nashville and Detroit were like the closest to do.
do it. But I've seen like,
it's been videos to where
they did it. And
like two girls almost got in a fight
because one girl was like, what? She was like,
shut up!
And that girl was you? Yeah. It was so
funny. I was like the way I would
have just
like kicked her down the row of stairs.
So I'm just praying that everybody
is on their Zoom and so attentive
and just pay attention to that part.
And L.A. be the best stop.
Yes. And also
Markell shared something super super exciting with me
so we're all going to manifest that Markel has
a very special Beyonce concert
when you go
I'm manifesting for you so hard bitch
That part and honestly we're going on both days
So she will know
Yes
And I'm like life and death lies in the power of the tongue
So I have to speak it into the air
In existence and it will happen
Yes it will if I'm not on the stage backstage
But we aren't saying anymore
Yeah but it will happen
That part manifesting for you
The power of two Virgo
Hello.
Hello.
I was like with that third triangle, girl, that's the trifecta.
The father, the son, and the holy spirit.
The whole rubbleau, girl.
Listen, I felt the spirit.
So Markel's been in the game for a long time.
When did you really start seeing your like explosion on TikTok when you first got started?
Like when did you start feeling like, man, this might be like turning into something.
I remember the day.
It was actually November of 2020.
No, excuse me, 2019.
I did a video.
I went as a videographer for one of my friends,
and we went to Myrtle Beach Safari.
And at the time I had like 30K on TikTok,
and the guy was like after we got done film and everything,
he was like, hey, do you want to make a video?
And I was like, well, I'm not a creator.
I'm just here with them.
He was like, it doesn't matter.
You make one?
And I was like, he was like, what can you do?
And I was like,
I can dance.
And he was like, okay, let's dance.
This man brought a live cheetah into the house
and casually sat it on the kitchen counter.
So at that point, I was like,
I think I did the renegade.
And then I did the woe, and the cheetah got startled,
and it, like, sat up.
And everybody thought the cheetah was going to attack me.
So it got, like, 30 million views.
And I went from 30K to 500K overnight.
And I was like, holy shit, I feel like people like me.
So I really felt inclined to just start popping more pus on the timeline.
And from November, I went to 900K in December.
And then I'm like, okay, this is going to get something.
So then I hit my first million January 4th of 2020.
And it was so crazy there because at the time I was working at Subway
and you would have thought I was a local celebrity.
People would just come on their lunch break
just to see me and stuff like that.
And my little busybody ass,
I was a subcontensor.
Interesting fact, if you guys didn't know,
I still literally remember how to make every sub.
It's like you have to cut the sub bread as six inches
on an inclined surface
to make all the lettuce and tomatoes and cucumbers
lay flat.
It's a whole thing.
There's a whole science shot.
Right, 100%.
And it's like the people who look down upon us,
it's like chew you, chew you.
chew you
but um
yeah I was working at subway at the time
so then my customer service skills
got really good because people started coming in
yeah and then the owner of subway
his wife was like dude your customer
service skills are so amazing
would you mind coming and work at my
boutique and uh
at the time I was making like
725 at subway and she was like
I'll pay you $10 an hour to leave Chris
and come from me and I was like oh shit
I'm about to be rich
this 10 dollars an hour like girl I was literally
feeling like I was on top of the world.
So I started working at the boutique
and then in like January
or, yeah, yeah, January.
And at the time,
I'm just continuing to do social media
and it was so crazy because
I did a duet of the Hype House video.
And I was like, one day I'm going to meet them.
I just, like you said, manifest.
Life and death literally lies in the power of the tongue.
I've always believed that.
Me too.
And I just speak it.
And I'm like, I had no like way.
of knowing that I was going to come out here.
Yeah, no connection.
Yeah, nothing at all.
Yeah.
And I'm like just basically putting on the front on TikTok, like, yeah, I'm going to meet them.
We're going to collab.
Knowing damn well, I didn't know who they were.
Well, I knew who they were, but not knowing any connection to get in contact with them.
Yeah.
And I did that.
January 10th, I do it in their video.
January 27th, I did the collab with them.
I flew out here to collab with this guy named Jordan Matter.
because I used to do
competitive cheer
and he used to do action shots
so he was like hey do
your flipping group want to come to California
and I'll shoot some photos of you guys on the beach
so we came out here and then the next day
I was supposed to fly home
and I saw Jordan put on his story
like hey I'm collaborating with the hype house tomorrow
what are some dances that I can ask something to do
on Santa Monica Pier I went out on a leap of faith
and I was like Jordan why didn't you
asked me to help you. I know all the dances on TikTok. Yeah. Hello well, just kidding. And then he was
like, you know what, Markell? That's actually not a bad idea. How about you come be my assistant
tomorrow? So that was my first leg in. Yeah. So I get there and I'm so nervous and I'm like,
wait, what was your name, babe? Oh, you're Charlie next to meet you. Bergele. Burgole next to meet you.
Just trying to play it all, play it cool. Yeah. And we kind of bond because she did come out of dance.
And I'm like, oh, you did, oh, I was like, oh, she's stretching on the floor.
And she's like, oh, I did competitive dance.
I was like, oh, that's cool.
I did cheer.
And like trying to one, Jesus take the ball.
Trying to one up or whatever.
And from that point on, we did the video on them.
It just kind of took off from there.
Oh, my gosh.
That's so crazy.
I love that you remember every date and stuff too.
I'm like that too.
That's like, and it was crazy.
It's crazy how you like never.
really I think that this happens a lot with creators too it's like we never planned on this happening
Yeah and then like when it does it feels like it feels so not real until you like actually do something so like when you actually got to meet them and like collab and stuff that was probably where you're like damn I think this is like kind of a big deal 100% like this is like taking off for me and now you're like and also Markell's being very modest but he is an incredible dancer
Thank you. He's like the dancer girl the dancer every I'm not kidding.
hitting every event I've ever seen Markella, he's in the center of the dance floor.
Every single time when we're at VidCon, I saw you in the Snapchat lounge.
Nobody's dancing.
But they're playing like some really, they're playing like some cute music.
And Markell comes in and he's like, can you play like Meg the Stallion or something?
And then he plays it and then he's just dancing by himself.
Go whenever play elevator music and it wasn't you get to elevate the like the...
You need to play music to elevate the vibes.
It was just giving.
And you did.
You started a whole frenzy.
Right.
Everyone started dancing.
And that's what I feel like I don't even like going to it thinking like, oh, I'm going to get this party lit.
I just hear music and I just feel like I need to move.
That's what I'm saying.
That's like the beautiful part about it.
It's not anything of like, oh, I want everyone to look at me.
It's literally just you love to dance.
Right.
But I think that's why people love you because they can see it.
They can feel that authenticity, which is actually what our topic is for today.
So with Markell, we're going to be talking about living as your most authentic self online.
Because also, just a fun fact, Markell's one of the nicest people I've ever met.
And I know you've been a critic for a long time.
So you know not all creators are nice.
I think honestly it would shock you which ones are really nice, like people who consume lots of social media.
Right.
The people that you wouldn't expect to be super, super nice are I'm one of them.
Like sometimes people think I'm like really mean in person, but I'm like, I'm just mean to terrible men.
Hello.
That's the only thing.
That's the only person I mean to.
And I like seek them out.
I actively look for them.
Period.
I'm on purpose.
She'd be lurker.
And I think like someone like Markell who has such a large presence and his friends with lots of famous people is so incredibly sweet.
And I love that you're just like what you look like online is who you are in real life.
So that's like, I think that's why he had you've created such a like strong community of fans because they can tell.
I feel like fans can really see if you're like a good person or not, like whether or not they can tell in the beginning, but eventually it will come through whether or not you're a good person.
So Markell is wonderful and amazing and has built a platform off being authentic.
So that's what we're going to be talking about today.
And for those of you who don't know or are new to the comment section, what we do here is we bring videos that I was tagged in that are applicable to our topic.
And then we laugh, Kiki, do all the different things about them.
Period.
y'all. This one is this video shows a pride day at a public school where all the teachers are
dressed in rainbow and there are rainbow decorations around the halls and the students are dressed in
color for outfits, which is sweet. Right. We love. We love to celebrate pride. The comments are
not, but that's to be expected. I feel like people are awful on the internet. It emboldens people
to be awful, I think, because they get to be anonymous, right? So this first comment says,
if that was me, I would smack every teacher and student in the building.
Okay.
Right.
Okay.
And I'm hoping every teacher in person in the building smack your ass back.
Yeah.
I feel like people get really bold online.
They do.
100%.
Yeah.
Do you get a lot of hate?
Or do you get hate at all?
It depends on what I'm doing.
Yeah.
But it's like never on my account, if I do something with somebody else, like, I went to
the CMA.
awards and I wore like this
like this not pencil skirt but it was like
more of a skirt type thing with a cape.
Oh love.
And OMG like everybody there is so crazy because the people
that they look up to and
quote unquote tune in to watch
were the first ones to comment
my outfit like all the countrymen.
That's what threw me off. They were literally like
dude you look at yeah like Zach Brian
Luke Holmes everybody was like dude your outfit
is amazing like you're standing out
and everybody in the comments section
like the CMAs had posted
a video of me walking the carpet
and then all of these
country low Higgs
like no matter man girls
all of them like
who is this
he she on the carpet
like he has no person
then been there
like I had to turn off the TV for my kids
and we usually watch this every year
and that's the first time
like usually I laugh at it
but that was the first time I literally
somewhat let it get to me because I'm like
I'm not human
right that part and I'm like
not only did I do it
and it's like that's what part I had to
like go back and sit on because
I'm not only doing it for myself I'm doing it
to let others know they can be comfortable
in their own skin because everybody else
was like thank you for doing this
and like when I posted it
they were like this was like the amazing
outfit like it inspired me
to want to dress how I want to dress and stuff like that
and the CMT Awards which is a huge
statement of itself is you being there
and dressing how you want and feeling
confident yeah and represent
representing an underrepresented group at the CMT Awards, which is like, it's so ironic, too, because you're from the South.
Yes.
So the fact that they're talking to you as if you're like, you don't know anything about country, about the South or anything like that.
I probably know more country music than they do.
That's what I'm saying.
They just think they are obligated or inclined to tune in just because they're, you know.
Right and straight.
Exactly.
I'm like, child, get that out of here.
I remember one of my first, like, really big carpets I ever did was Billboard, music awards.
It did it in Vegas.
And it was like, I think last summer.
And I remember when I walked, I wore something that was a lot different.
But I really loved it.
And I looked pretty.
So I didn't give a fuck.
Right.
I did not know, like, because it was my first, like, huge carpet.
I'd never, I think before that I did, like, maybe two.
And they were, like, tiny little carpets.
But I didn't know how much they film you.
and how much they take pictures,
and they shoot you from all sides, all angles.
And like, I've gotten a lot better dressing over,
like I didn't match my nails or anything like that.
I just was like, I liked the pretty dress.
I had my hair and makeup done, period, right?
It's how I saw it.
And a lot of people really liked it,
but a lot of people fucking hated it,
which is like, that's fine.
Fashion is subjective, whatever you want to wear, that's fine.
But to see, like, so many people give you an unsolicited opinion,
and they're like, I would never wear that if I was,
get an invite first, bitch.
Period.
Bid.
Get invited.
That's my main thing.
That's like, get invited.
Your ass got so many opinions, bids.
Get invited first.
And I was like, you would have warned that.
And what were you doing?
Hello.
I would have never warned that, babe.
You were a tank top going to the grocery store.
With your ball-headed ass with that synthetic ass wig, you need to get you a better life.
I love to read it.
I would have warned that.
Babe, you wouldn't have gone.
Let's start there.
You wouldn't have gone.
because you would be at home.
Right.
Corseticking mine out.
Hello.
There you go.
Thank you.
And it's funny too because I was in some of the posts that I had posted.
Well, first of all, I made several best dress lists.
So eat my ass, bitch.
Come on.
Like, you don't like it?
That's crazy because other people did.
Like actual publications actually liked my outfit.
There's that.
And then also, most of the pictures that I posted, I was like talking about walking as a
someone woman because I never got to see someone women walk carpets like that when I was
growing up.
So it was mostly just like I was just excited and proud.
Like I got to walk as like a someone person and be representative in some capacity.
And then people are saying shit like that.
I'm like bitch.
I'm not even talking about the outfit.
Right.
But like, okay, it's the internet.
Obviously you're going to get unsolicited opinions.
But it's just those comments of like I would never wear that.
Yeah.
Okay.
Well, when you get invited to a really huge award show, then you can let me know.
Yeah.
And I'll see what you would wear.
Yeah.
And then I'll critique what you wore.
Let's see your deck.
I'm like that and no that happened to me on my first carpet I think it was
2021 I went to the AMAs and girl first of I'm not I can dance my ass off I'm like video form
I'm good but soon as it comes to a photo it's hard yeah it's a lot harder than people think
it was the comments why you look like a box you look like little bill I was like oh shit
you know when someone be right I'm like okay you hate me there bitch you you hate me there
You got me a little.
Right.
I'm like, you got me there.
I'm going to give you that one.
But I'm like, like you said, they shoot you from all angles.
It's crazy.
But I've gotten so accustomed.
I've literally studied and watched.
Like, these people who walked the carpet, it was so funny.
LaRae was on the carpet.
They were like, Luray, turn over your right shoulder.
Lerre was like, no, my left shoulder is better.
So he like, he accommodates for himself.
But it's so intense when it's like, when they're all yelling at you.
It's so much happening at once.
But you got to do what's best.
for you at the end of the day.
Especially as a, it's like that video of Ariana Grande when like she won't turn to her right.
Yeah.
It's her right side that she doesn't like, but she likes her left.
Uh-huh.
So they're like, turn to your left, turn to your left.
And she's like, no.
Like, super.
Like real.
Right.
Real.
That's what it takes.
Now that I've done so many carpets, I'm like, it's so funny too because after, it feels
like high school, like after you get your Gettys taken.
Yeah.
Everyone's sitting and waiting for whatever's going on and you're looking for your Gettie.
Yeah.
And you're like, are people eating me up?
Right.
Are they eaten me up?
Did I eat or did they eat me up grow up?
Hello.
I'm like, did I eat or am I getting eaten?
Exactly.
It's so hard to like the first few I walked.
Like there was one of the, I think it was like the second carpet I ever did was like a movie premiere or stupid movie.
And like I was holding a bag and I had a jacket on because I didn't know.
So like she, the girl that walked me down the carpet was not my publicist but she didn't take it from me.
So I just like stood there with it.
And the pictures came out cute, but so many people were like, why are you holding a bag?
Why are you holding a?
Okay, red carpet police.
Hello.
I don't know.
Girl, because I don't know what the fuck I'm doing.
Did you want me to drop the bag and drop into an immediate split?
I literally feel like that's what they expect us to get out there to do.
Sometimes I do want to bust a cartwheel out or a leg kick to air.
Right.
Just give them a little extra flare.
But I'm like, bitch, don't be trying to critique my bag or my jacket.
Yeah.
I was like, you know why?
because a year ago I was a normal fucking person.
That's why I don't know red carpet etiquette at all.
And even I joke about this with my creator friends all the time too because obviously there's
like some people would consider us celebrities but like I always categorize myself as like a creator
or like an influencer.
And then there's like actual celebrities.
So like when you walk with real celebrities, I always feel like they like don't give a fuck about
you.
Right.
So the photographers are extra mean.
Like they're like even more fed up with you.
Okay, can you go to the next spot?
They're okay, next, next.
Right.
Or they don't even look at you.
They're like this trying to make sure they got the last shot of the celebrity.
So you're standing there and they're like, next person.
Yeah, it's so.
I joke about it all the time how humbling it is when they're like, oh, no.
Right, right.
And you're like, oh, okay.
Yeah, no, that's totally fine.
I didn't want a picture.
Right.
It's okay.
I didn't even.
I was just like walking.
I'm like, did you want to see my new car?
I have.
I was like, I was actually looking for the bathroom.
Right, right.
I don't need a picture.
I don't know where it is.
I don't need a picture.
I didn't even want one, to be honest.
Pictures who even like those darn days?
Videos,
2020.
I think it's like, it's one of those things where they invite us because we're important
as far as like to get people to tune in.
Yes, I really feel like that's the case.
That's a huge reason why they invite us.
A lot of times people are like, why would they invite influences it?
because no one's going to tune in
because no one watches live television anymore.
So if they see us there,
they're going to like,
the odds are they're going to tune in.
But at the same time,
they know that we're not on like
the Megastalian level.
So they treat us like that
when we get there.
You would have thought we're part
of the publicist team as well.
That's what I said.
They made me park cars
and then I got to walk.
Can you show these people to their seat?
Yeah, if I cleared a table
then they let me get a Getty.
So they let me do.
Which is so humbling, but that's a good thing, I think.
Right.
Sometimes you need to be humbled a little bit.
Just a little.
When I walked certain premieres, too, like, sometimes they'll just take one pick, and that's it.
Just one.
Yeah, they're like, one.
All right, go ahead.
Yeah, they're like, you can go now.
Right.
I'm like, damn.
I'll send this movie.
Yeah.
I was like, I sat and glim for four hours, but that's okay.
Right, right.
That's okay.
It's fine.
That's totally fine.
I didn't care.
I didn't want one anyway.
That's totally fine.
Literally, who needs those now.
Okay, back to this video.
So we're talking about the Pride Post, Rick.
So this says, no way my kid would be pulled out of this school, do not push agendas on my children.
I mean, gay people exist no matter what.
Hello.
Whether or not your child is gay doesn't erase gay entirely.
I think when they're like, oh, you're pushing agendas on my child.
I'm like, there are so many other forms of indoctrination that they never acknowledge.
Right.
Like, heteronormitivity is one, for example, like, whether you identify as a boy or a girl
and there's no other gender, like, gender identity to be used by children, it's like, that's
a form of indoctrination because gender's not real.
Gender is a man-made construction.
Come on.
Don't know if any of you all know that.
But I think celebrating, it's like the acknowledgement of other communities and other people
does not erase you or your community.
And what the fuck you believe in?
Yeah, and it costs you nothing really
to just be nice to people who live differently than you.
And I'm like, when a new kid woke up and said,
Mom, I got to put on a coat for a shirt this morning.
You thought he was going to have a relay?
You think that they put on the rainbow
and that turns them gay?
Hello.
You will not be partaking in that rainbow shit.
I don't understand.
I don't understand this kind of like,
this weird policing
of like what children are involved
because like children especially don't care
about whether or not people are gay
like that is taught to them to hate gay people
that's something that's taught that's not something they're born with
they literally are they learn that through your behaviors
and on the opposite side
they learn acceptance and love and empathy
through the same behavior so it's like
and I feel like it's like such a proven fact
when they be trying to shelter them so much and like pull back and like you're not going to do this,
they be the main ones to turn out a booty bandit.
Bejah thorn ass what a dollar just be like just tossing it.
I'm like, okay.
While he was trying to tell him toss a football, he was getting a salad toss.
But that's another story for another day.
It's always the, it's always so ironic, isn't it?
No, literally.
It's always so ironic.
It's like the people, it's the same thing for like men who, it's not in the same vein,
but it's in the same kind of neighborhood of like when men violently fat-shaping women.
And then fat women have no problem getting late, bitch.
I mean, I'll promise you that.
That part.
I promise you that.
Like some of the most prominent, famous, successful men in the world love fat women.
And they, and so men who aren't like that are like,
There's no way that's true.
Come on.
It's the same.
It's the same kind of like they fetishize and love and secret kind of thing.
Right.
And that's because of the way society treats fat people, the way society treats gay people, trans people.
Like, people have such strange, like, it's almost like a dedication to being awful.
Uh-huh.
They're like, to my dying breath, I'm not going to admit that I'm not going to admit that I, I,
I am gay that I like fat women, that I like trans women.
Like it's just, they're never going to.
Oh, they're taking it to their grave.
Yeah, which is so sad.
That's sad and gross.
And you're like, admit you're gay.
I'm like, well, damn, you could have, we would have accepted you.
Yeah.
I think it's also, it's just such a, it's such a harmful rhetoric to push when gay people mind their business.
Right.
Like they're just trying to live and exist peacefully and not be harassed or threatened or killed.
And so just to exist is a radical.
It's like existing and celebrating your life is like so radical and agenda pushing to people like that.
Did you hear about the guy?
And I don't know where it was, but this weekend he was listening to Beyonce at the gas station and just dancing.
The one who was vogueing.
Yes.
Yeah, in New York.
Yeah.
It's just, it's awful.
Yeah.
It's so, so, so awful.
I think his name was O'Shea.
Yeah, Beyonce, him had shouted him out on this, uh, their Instagram.
I'm like, yeah.
Those men were booty bandits.
It's so, it's so awful.
It's terrible how someone literally living and existing and not bothering anybody.
That affects somebody's thought process in their life so much.
No, literally.
It's fucking, it's horrible.
And people like that genuinely, I fucking hate them.
That part.
Mm-hmm.
Like he was not doing anything to y'all.
If y'all are that affected by just watching something walk away.
I'm like, how big was this lot?
I'm like, if y'all needed something from the gas station, go in there, walk away, talk shit, do what you have to do.
But you didn't have to, like, intervene with what this man was doing.
Yeah.
You acted like he was vulgar all in your face.
I'm like, I doubt that was the case.
You were the one who inserted yourself in a situation that had nothing to do with you.
Yeah, exactly.
And for no reason other than to feel powerful.
I don't even know to assert dominance.
I don't know what the fucking thought process.
Do some all that bog in a shit.
Yeah, the toxic masculinity thing is, it's really, really bad.
Like, it affects everyone.
And I just saw a video recently of a guy saying, like,
toxic masculinity doesn't exist.
There's just toxic people.
Those are two different things.
Right.
Like, someone being toxic.
You can probably apply in both categories, but they are two different things.
And the irony is that toxic.
Messilinity, that term was created by a man. He was created by a man who was raised by an extremely
misogynistic and homophobic father. And he was a militarized father. Like he was a vet. And he raised
him within such strict, like, almost like choking parameters. Like what the patriarchy raises
men within. So he coined that term himself because he discovered it as he was raised and like as he
reflex and stuff and then it was popularized through like therapy psychology and all of that so I'm like
the irony of a man saying it doesn't exist when it was created by a man come on who was trying to
explain like he was trying to find a reason for why he felt the way he did like why am I so angry
all the time why am I so hateful like why am I so mad at women all the time right and it's literally
because of that like he created the term because of that so I'm like that so ironic that
straight men are just the worst.
They're truly awful sometimes.
They really are.
Okay, this last comment says,
what the fuck is this shit?
Do they do that for Remembrance Day?
No, so why should they do this for these people?
They did not die for us, save us, or anything.
Huh?
Are you talking about war?
Right.
That's different, babe.
That's different.
What do you want to sell?
Right.
And what do you mean?
There are plenty of holidays that,
celebrate colonizers. There are plenty of them.
Remembering's Day?
Columbus Day exists,
President's Day, all of whom
are colonizers. You know what I mean?
Right. What do you mean? There are plenty.
Fourth of July is an Independence
Day. Like,
hello? The list goes on.
Yeah, the list. And then gay people
are like, I just want to celebrate
you know, life and loving
who I want. And I'm like, oh,
what else?
Here these bitches go again.
here they go again.
Right, here they go again.
Trying to damn, make another holiday.
You're like, we already got enough.
Well, damn, what my way ain't going?
It ain't going to affect you.
Well, yeah, just don't celebrate it.
That part.
Then just don't.
I'm like, just like some people don't celebrate Christmas.
You ain't got to celebrate pride.
Exactly.
And that's the teach.
Okay, I'm going to move on to this next video.
Okay, this one is a woman who describes herself as a relationship coach.
and she's talking to camera about how the Barbie movies
sole purpose is to brainwash women into hating men.
She says watching this film will deeply harm
your perception of relationships because all of the men in the movie
are either stupid, useless, creepy, or evil.
Okay.
We were at Barbie.
We saw Barbie.
What did you think of Barbie?
It was very interesting to me.
the part that I pulled from it was
the men that they were talking about they were going to beat
each other off.
I don't know a lot of people didn't pull that
but I pulled that and I was like, wow,
that's kind of crazy, but it was very informative
to me. I feel like it was uplifted into women if anything
and it was like
it had a good message behind it.
Yeah. For men and women.
And anyone else who doesn't identify as either.
But like even with, well, your point
about what you pulled is all.
also, if you think about it, it's also layered because straight men tend to do very homoerotic
things, but are also at the same time violently homophobic.
Yeah.
So, like, they do some things that are extremely homosexual.
And then they have the nerve to also be homophobic.
I don't understand it.
That part.
It was a perfect example of that.
I don't know the guy's name, but the basketball player who was caught on video,
humping his friend, dry humping, like the legs were in.
the air like this and the basketball player was like,
pow, bow, bow, bow.
And he was like, the video came out and he was like,
dog, I'm not with that gay shit.
It was just us playing.
Girl, what type of plan is that?
I'm like, you're a grown as been,
I'm like, right.
And the guy who like this, he's like,
I'm like laughing.
Right.
And the guy, it wasn't just like, girl,
when I tell you, they were putting it word.
I was like,
He was like, bro, we was just playing any of the gay shit.
I'm like, well, hell, I don't know what type of play.
Y'all involved in.
That's not how I play with my friends personally.
Well, we just play like a little volleyball, a little bad bit.
Some of those, like, playing games.
But I'm like, do y'all have, like, an active sign-up list?
Because I want to play.
Right, like, grow old.
Hey, man, I think might be in.
Period.
Is this a new sport?
I think it might be good at it.
Hello.
I would be really good at it.
But I was like, those are the ones who would be the main ones that be so homo-pop-a
but do like homo shit like that.
I'm like, make up your mind.
Do you want to be an ally or do you want to be a part of the group?
I'm blown away.
I did not see that.
Oh, girl, you have.
But you know what's crazy is my brother played.
Well, all the men in my family have played football.
My dad played in the NFL.
My boyfriend played in college.
my brother played in high school and my brother like would talk to us when he was like early on in high school and he would talk about like how the locker rooms like they would do this like the humping shit what you're talking about like they do it all the time and my brother was like okay well i mean not my vibes but like that's fine and then they would also be really homophobic they'd be like well i'm not gay blah blah blah okay um sure and then one way talked to my dad my dad goes oh yeah they do
do that all the time. Like all the way to the NFL, they do that. Yeah. Huh? And then he's like,
you guys didn't do that in the locker room? No. No. Um, no. That we didn't actually, in case you
were wondering, no, in fact. That's so funny you ask, because no. Even my, even my boyfriend was like,
yeah, they always do stuff like that. It's normal. Right. Okay. For sure. For sure.
It's normal. But then it's like, it's like, that's fine, but then you can't be homophobic. Like,
you gotta pick one.
Come on.
You gotta pick one or the other.
Either you're playing around.
You're playing a humpy-dobby-d-bon.
Or you're homophobic.
Like you gotta pick one.
I just don't.
And they, like what you said, like they do it so, like seriously.
Like, viscerally.
I need to see.
As you're talking, let me see if I can find this video, just visually show you how much work is man.
They mean it.
They mean it, girl.
I don't understand.
I'm just type of basketball player something.
That's so.
Yeah.
Dude, we're just playing so it's not real.
It's not, we're just kidding.
We're literally just kidding.
You guys don't kid.
You don't kid around with your friends.
You don't tune and boot with your friends.
We do it all the time.
So it's like a normal thing.
That's just what guys do.
They kid.
What we do in the locker room just get around.
That's so, that's insane.
That's actually insane.
That video was a lot worse than I thought.
Hello.
And literally like full like boom shaboon boom
That's like and he's in missionary
Yeah
And he's going at it
Going to pound down
He took a trip to pound town girl
Just left pound town
All he knew his booty hole was brown
Listen
That's yeah that's it's the same
It's the exact
That is much more
More violent version of it
But like that's like what my dad
Was talking about when he was like
They do it all the time.
Like, they just, like, go behind each other and, like, pretend to.
Yeah.
Even right after their shower, just in their towels.
Yes, like, naked.
Yeah.
They do it all the time.
Naked.
Like, my boyfriend was like, yeah, they'll just be naked and they'll just walk around and do that.
Yeah.
And I'm like, try to slap each other, sore fight and all that.
But they're just kidding.
And they're not gay.
Not strong.
They're not gay.
I can't stress that enough.
They are not.
N-O-T.
For those who can't.
spell it not I yeah it's it's also and that's exactly like what was in the Barbie movie was like
it's like kind of that parallel to they do these homoerotic things and then they get very mad when they
because I think it's because they align being gay with femininity and it's like something they're
not allowed to touch and not allowed to do and it's just like again another like restriction of
the patriarchy like they just that they live within
But the Barbie movie, I loved the Barbie movie.
I thought it was great.
I thought it was amazing.
I do think, though, that the reaction to it is to be expected.
Like, when I finished watching it, I was like the conservative, like, all right sides of every social media platform, media, they're going to hate that movie.
And it's true, they did.
I knew, I left with that knowledge, I'm like, they're probably going to fucking hate that movie.
And that's how you know it was good.
I loved to the
shunned upon Ken
who started beating everybody ass
Alec or whatever
Alan Alan
I said come through Alan
because he was an Alec for the Barbes
He was for the barbs
He was for the girls
He was for the girl
I said Alan you are that it girl
I also think too that there's
nothing wrong with a movie
that embraces
like femininity and the love and warmth
of women. Right. There's nothing wrong
with that, but of course, like,
you know, the
alt-right, like, extremely critical
side of things, they'll find a reason
to demonize femininity
or some sort of, like, empowering
movie. And it's even empowering to men,
too, because within the movie,
they talk about how, like, he's like,
honestly, I liked patriarchy
because I thought it was mostly horses.
Turns out it's not. It's a bunch of other stuff that
scares me, and I don't like that. Like,
it turns out patriarchy also hurts
men like that's like what's in there but if you're an idiot then you're not going to get that
if you're someone who's going to go over your head yeah if you're misogynistic you're obviously
not going to absorb that part of the movie and some of these comments are proof of that like this one
says that's why i took my brother to watch transformers when the rest of my family went to watch
barbie and it's like okay you could have just said you wanted to see transformers right that part
i'm like y'all guess what baby y'all still paid the same
out for that ticket. It's all the same, honestly. That's the one about the beasts, I assume,
the Transformers movie about beasts. Beasts and automobiles rolling out. That's all you really need
to know. That's it. That's the whole movie. This is also when they talk about how it's like
it brainwashes women to hate men, men are not the center of that movie. That's kind of the whole point.
Right. The point is to like remove men from your like confidence.
and like your self-worth is like it's to pluck it out and don't value them right don't weigh their
opinions for your own self-worth like that that's the point hello like this one says what the heck
are these comments she hit it on the nose or on the dot this movie was the most sexist movie
I've ever seen I love when men say women are sexist I love that ooh it gives me a little
tingle oh I love it they just got opinions because they got breath in their lungs that's what I
come to the conclusion of. Yeah, it's one of those where you're like, well, I'm not going to convince
you. Hello, right. Literally. That's why when I make my videos, I'm just fucking mean to them.
I know I'm not trying to change you. Like, you're not going to change. So you're not going to
listen to me. So I might as well make these fucking jokes. Hello. Catch these jokes,
bitch. That's all. Clearly they're good. I catch you. That's just playing around,
though. True. They're just playing. They're just messing around. Playing sports.
This one says, I didn't make it five minutes into that movie. And,
and I turned it off.
I couldn't sit through that.
Well, first of all, that's a lie because you can't turn off a movie,
and that movie's not on streaming services.
Liar.
Liar.
Liar, first of all.
You're a sinner.
Second, like, I know we can't show their pictures,
but this guy is bald.
Listen, it tracks, is all I'm saying.
Like, it's a pattern.
Like, one times a coincidence, two times it's a pattern.
When I make jokes about men being bald,
like they get so fucking mad at me.
And they call me sexist, which, again, like,
that's not what sexism is,
That's called being mean.
I'm being mean to you.
Get it right.
All she's saying is you look like a kneecap or an elbow.
Bald.
Bald, bitch.
And honestly, take it up with God.
Like, it's not my fault.
He doesn't like you.
That part.
We didn't take your hair jeans.
God just didn't give them to you.
If anything, that's why you should hate women.
You should hate your mom because most times male pattern baldness comes through maternal
bloodlines.
Come on.
That would make sense if you hated your mom for that reason.
but most of them still kissed their mom on the mouth
so I guess it doesn't matter.
That part.
And I bet their mom got a little Karen bomb.
I can see it now.
Yeah, this guy, we can't show his picture,
but he is literally bald.
Like, he's a bald white guy
and he has like one of those like
beards that sits on the chin underneath it.
Doesn't go up?
Yeah.
Nice.
Love that.
That's like the racist starter pack.
Oh, I love that startup.
You can pick a racist starter pack
right here.
bald head a wrap around sunglasses
beard that only goes on the chin
on the chin
doesn't go up no mustache nothing
love that for him
James I'll say your name
James says James on here
I think too
I just think if you don't like things
why would you pay money to go see them
I don't understand it
because if he did quote unquote
turn it off or walk out
you literally wasted your money
and guess what?
They still don't know who the fuck you are.
I don't like your movie.
Sir, who are you again?
It's the same thing like what we said.
It's like you're at home.
Right.
I'm on the carpet, you're at home.
Thank you, babe.
Thank you.
Thank you so much.
Margot made a bag and a half.
Ryan Gittenden made a bag and a half.
You spent the bag.
All you had, really.
Hello, right.
You spend the bag all you had.
So therefore, they're winning.
I think, too.
With, with, that's how I feel about all haters, but especially like when they are hypercritical, like, of your outfit, of my outfit, of just anything under the sun because they are allowed to, they see it and that's their free speech as they get to, like, write hate.
Right.
I always just think, like, it's kind of like what my friend Caleb says.
He's like, my life is better than yours.
And it always will be.
And you hate that.
And that's how my fault.
So you can write this all day long, but, like, I'm still going to be living a much better, more fulfilled life than you.
Come on.
end of the day.
My friend Samaya said something other day that kind of stuck with me.
I think she said, you can't have two cents if you ain't got $2 to give.
Period.
Period.
That's wise.
Right.
I love that.
Hello.
That little boy.
There's James.
You was probably pissed because you spent your money and enjoyed a movie.
Now you even got $2 to give your two cents.
So keep it to yourself.
Exactly.
Okay.
So as we wrap it up, what would you say?
is your best piece of advice for people
who are trying to, whether they're trying
to be a creator or they're just trying to like
exist in this world
that can be so scary sometimes.
What would you say is your best piece of advice
to be like as authentic as possible?
Especially online.
Right. My best piece of advice would just be
to go into it knowing who you are as a person
and you always know to grow as an individual
and things like that sort.
But don't filter yourself
to try to fit a standard or a group that you feel like you're belonging
because you're going to belong where you belong
and what's for you is for you and no man can take it away.
So therefore just be yourself, be your authentic self,
show your personality and just be true to what you know
and who you are as a person because I feel like that's how we've been able to win
and anybody else I've seen grow in this space.
And don't be afraid from if you see somebody with higher status
or ALEC celebrity,
them bitches are rude to you.
Do not give them the same respect.
You have to give respect to get it, period.
Because at the end of the day, I'm like,
we still pissing shit the same way.
My mom always told me an opinion is like an asshole.
We all got one.
So don't let nobody judge you and try to walk over you like you
don't mean anything or add any value.
You are a great individual and you add so much to the team
and so much to the world.
So just be yourself and just show your authentic.
because at the end of the day, that's what people are going to want to relate to and connect to
and see who you truly are as an individual.
So, period.
Yeah, I love that.
And also to your same point about even if they're like a more famous person, if they're rude to you,
especially if you're trying to be a creator or something, you don't have to be polite back or you don't have to like do anything to like make them like you.
Like don't try to pretend to be someone you're not to make them like you.
This industry is very small.
And everybody remembers.
And to piggyback of what you say, you know,
our Virgo Energy, I remember everything.
Me too. I ain't going to say the person's name,
but in my
starting days, their team
reached out to me and asked me
to collabas with them. I was on the way, I lived
in Calabasas at the time, on the way to
Beverly Hills, they were like, okay, can we push the shoot back
an hour? I say, yeah, that's fine. I just drove
around Beverly Hills, and then they canceled day of.
So then, pass forward,
I saw them at a fight
in Atlanta, so I went to approach them,
and I was like, hi, this person, that person,
your team, I set the guy's name, so obviously,
bitch, you know your team.
Yeah.
I'm like, this person reached out to me
to want to do some collapse for your stuff.
I just want to introduce myself
and let you know that I love you,
love everything you stand for,
this, and then third,
that bitch looked at me and was like,
I don't know anything about that behind.
And just like that,
and I was like this,
I have never, I was like,
and then whoever who was with her was like,
well, we'll text you when we're back in L.A.
So nice to meet you and like pulled her away from me
and fast forward to now.
That was in 2021, fast forward to now.
Yeah.
That bitch texted me personally the other day
and tried to invite me to her party.
Did I go, fuck no?
And then her team reached out again
and I'm going to make sure I charge
you the bitches of arm and a lug
because I know you have a bag.
The first time around,
I was just going to do it for free
or, you know, at the belowest of the low rate
because I just love you as an individual
and as a person in your craft.
But now I'm going to make sure I rip every ligament
and make sure I tear your damn laborer them off
when I try to charge your arm and a leg.
And we never forget.
Right.
And neither does anyone else.
Like this industry is very.
Very small.
Right.
So when you're rude, especially if we're a Virgo, if you're rude to a Virgo,
they're never going to forget.
And if you're like me and Markell and we have lots of different friends from different
spaces in the industry, we will tell other people.
Come on.
I have told other people about my poor experiences with certain people or companies or brands
or whatever.
I've told people like don't work with them because they did me dirty or they were really
rude to me or whatever.
And it works.
So be nice to everyone and be authentic.
Hello.
It will come back to bite you.
Come on.
Bite the other.
But that's just playing.
Hello.
We're just playing.
We're just playing around.
Just a little nibble.
That's all we want.
Thank you so much for coming on the show.
Of course.
Thank you so much for having me.
It's been a blast.
You're amazing.
I love you forever.
And thank you all for tuning in to this episode.
Make sure y'all follow Markell on everything.
Where can everybody find you?
Markle Washington on all platform.
Period. We love it. And I know y'all already know Markell. So if you don't, for some
reason, some insane reason you don't follow him already, make sure you do. Thank you so much to
Markell for joining us on this episode of the comment section. And make sure to tune in to new
episodes. They drop every Wednesday exclusively on Spotify. And I'll see you next week. Bye.
Bye guys.
