You got big Hercules tities, girl.
And I love that.
I worked for these.
Okay.
Just another episode of the comment section show starring me, your favorite.
Everybody knows me.
Who cares about me?
On to the guest.
Today, we have an iconic All-Star, a solo debut, if you will.
The one and only Andrew Muscarella.
Woo!
What is up?
Oh my God, it feels so nice.
Oh, my God, you're a K-pop idol.
I literally, Jenny.
It's like my solo debut.
Oh, my literally Jenny.
It's my breakout moment.
Yeah.
Like, Jenny.
Come on.
Like Andrew.
Oh my God, Andrew.
You're just Andrew now.
Just Andrew.
Look at you.
And I'm like, now I'm here, I'm like, so do you want the truth?
Sundays I barely want any coverage at all.
I just want my skin to look like my skin, just a little more even.
And that's when I've been reaching for the Merit Minimalist Stick.
It's a foundation and concealer stick in one, so it's super easy to throw on when I'm running errands,
having coffee or meeting up with friends.
And it gives me that really natural skin-like finish
without feeling heavy.
But when I'm filming going to an event
or I just want a full glam moment,
I need a concealer that's actually going to show up.
The hourglass vanish concealer is one I always reach for
because it gives me that full coverage, airbrushed finish.
I also know I'm not the only person who struggled
to find the right foundation or concealer shade,
and it can be so frustrating trying to guess
what'll actually work for you.
So that's why I always shop at Sephora.
They have the best brands all in one place with so many shades, coverage levels, and finishes that you can actually find what works for you.
And if you need help, Sephora makes it super easy with expert beauty advisors, free samples and shade matching tools, both online and in store.
So whether you're looking for barely their coverage or full glam, Sephora can help you find your match.
Obviously, we love good children.
We love Joe.
Love Joe.
Now look at you, solo debut. How's it feel?
It feels great.
It's nice to just chat with you.
It is.
And we are actual real life friends.
So the real key we're gonna have offline.
But now we can have the stream friendly version of the key.
Exactly.
We talked our shit.
Yes.
We're back on here and we'll do a version of that.
Yes.
You are one of my favorite people to talk shit with.
Thank you.
That's true.
It's an honor.
Oh my God.
You need that in this world.
You do.
Some people can't keep up.
No.
But I feel like we can't keep up.
can just bounce back and forth for hours.
You ever, like, talk to someone in the industry and you're kind of like, you're getting
to know each other a little bit, and then you kind of sample a little like, let's talk shit.
Yeah.
And then they're kind of like, oh, I don't really like to talk about you.
Boo.
No, I'm like, no.
And when we did it, it was like a cosmic chef.
I was like, oh.
When we did it, it was transcendent.
It was amazing.
It was wonderful.
We don't just talk shit.
We talk good.
We talk at all.
I was just having this conversation with my man yesterday where I was saying like the art of talking shit, right, has been a girls and the gays thing for eons.
Absolutely.
But I was saying like there is something very healthy and therapeutic about talking shit with someone who gets it.
I completely agree.
I was like I feel like it's like you have to expel the venom.
Like that's what I have to do.
Absolutely.
And it's not always talking shit.
Sometimes it's just talking the truth.
Right.
You know what I mean?
You just got to say it.
You got to put it out there and just call what it is.
I can't help it if I'm right.
But it's shit to the people who have wronged me.
Exactly.
Exactly.
I love it.
Well, I'm so happy to have you here.
You're on a little, you're on a little summer vacay out here in L.A.
I am.
We were just talking about it.
How's it been going?
My L.A. summer.
I am really liking it.
I think it's such an adjustment though.
Like New York is so high energy and high strong.
That's very true.
And then being here, I'm like forcing myself to be calm.
To chill.
It's like different.
So it's different anxieties.
I always have anxiety.
And the people out here are a lot different.
A lot different.
A lot different.
I'm like throwing my hands.
I still have the New York in me though.
So I'm like driving and I'm like throwing my hands up at people.
Like it's like you're hitting them with your mother.
No literally.
I'm like, what the fuck are you doing?
Like I've been saying bro a lot when I drive.
Like that's not my vernacular.
It's like really crazy.
I'm straighter at L.A.
It's weird.
It's bringing out the mask in you.
It is.
But there's nothing better than L.A.
summer by a pool. Like, and that's not what I was getting in Bushwick. It's stinky, like,
and stinky and the rats are coming right in the back. Oh, yuck. I was in New York earlier this
year. I, like, went for work stuff, but I was like in a quick turnaround, but it was in the
spring, like late spring, early summer. And when I was there, I was like telling my friends,
I was like, this is the kind of weather that would trick you into moving to New York.
Exactly. Because there's about a 10-day window where the weather is so wonderful that you're like,
I could live here.
I can do this.
It's fall and spring gets you every time.
And it's like, oh my God, I could.
I could do this.
And then you leave that 10 day window and you start smelling human shit on the street.
Yeah, I'm not about it.
It's disgusting.
August in the city, girl.
It's unbearable.
It's unbearable.
And then like, listen, like the garbage will stay out sometimes.
Like the, and respect to the garbage workers, they're doing a good job, especially in New York.
Like, I cannot imagine.
Hell yeah.
Dude, I can't even imagine.
Sometimes it just happens to stay there for a few days.
Right.
And then I'm getting punished.
So that's something I actually get.
Unfortunately, I'm being forced to experience it.
Yeah, I'm smelling it every single day.
So I'm like, oh, I'm like welcoming people.
I'm like, come in.
No.
Hold your nose.
I'm like that, that kind of energy, like in that 10-day window, I was like, that's
where I'm like, this is the city to be.
Because I do love New York.
I love it.
But the weather is killing me sometimes.
Right.
And I was like, it's, and even in the fall, like you said,
But that's another time when you're like, God, I could live in the big city.
I know.
But I do wonder, like, being here, I'm like, what do you guys complain about?
Because when I'm in New York, like, when it is weather and it's winter and January, like,
I can't even think about the next day.
You know what I mean?
I'm like actually like, waking up is really hard.
But that's my struggle.
And then I think about being here and the weather is always nice.
Yeah.
You guys complaining about.
Honestly, here it's probably traffic more than anything because you got to drive everywhere.
Yeah. Like to go anywhere it takes, it's crazy when you look at like how long it will take to go somewhere in LA and how many miles it actually is. So it'll be like, oh, 45 minutes and you're going eight miles. Right. You're like, okay, so why is that? Like, why is it taking me an hour?
And what is it? Like, so I hate to bring math into this. So like eight miles at 60 miles per hour should be eight minutes, right?
Right. Am I dumb? I believe you. 60 miles per. Maybe I'm, maybe I'm wrong. I won't math check you. 60 miles per hour, one minute in each mile. I was a finance major, but that. I was a finance major, but that.
I'll be here.
So you know what?
And now I'm you're being gay on the internet.
Exactly.
So now what?
Happens that way.
I do.
I just remember too.
There is a video of yours that I think of very often.
You guys, if you haven't already, you need to follow Andrew on TikTok.
I think you're one of the funniest people on that app.
And I mean that sincerely.
But you made a video about Dunkin' Donuts that like really impacted me.
Probably like a year or two ago.
Had to be.
Oh, the one that I'm like.
You were saying like we don't go like knowing it's going to taste good.
Like, it's just like, it's like true Dunkinistas is like are in it for the game.
Like you were saying like, you were calling yourself a Dunkinette.
Like I'm a Dunkinette.
The thing is like you're going to go to Dunkin' Donuts and you're going to complain that your coffee never taste the same.
Right.
And they're not telling you that the coffee's going to taste the same because why are we bashing people for originality?
Like that is my Dunkinista.
Like I go in like, sure, I go to the one in Burbank.
That's amazing.
I'm like trying it there.
I go to the one in Williamsburg.
It's going to taste different because I'm in different places.
because they're different people.
And if I go to the same one every single day, it's going to taste different.
Exactly.
Every time, because you were saying it's in the power of the Duncanista's hands, the barista.
And isn't, there's nothing better than when you take your first sip and you're like,
hmm.
Yeah, no, they did it today.
And I, Jason has said this to me too about Duncan because she doesn't play about Duncan either.
And I've been real like, oh, okay.
Like when she was telling me, she's like, no, it's the best.
And it was, she even told me she was like, no, sometimes it's awful.
but the times that it's good,
it's like the best coffee you've ever had.
It's almost like that's what keeps you coming back.
A hundred percent.
And again,
people want to talk about their beans.
They don't care about it.
Like,
they're not saying they got the best beans.
They're not going.
They're not saying they're the best coffee ever.
It literally is just like America runs on Dunkin.
They have the best syrups.
If you're trying to get sugary shit,
you're going to get it on Dunkin' Donuts.
Okay?
If you want the straight up espresso,
don't go to Dunkin' Donuts.
All right.
And if you want the 700 calorie Koolada because you deserve it, go to Dunkin Kutons.
I saw a girl make a video about, I think they have a new drink.
I forget which one.
I forget the flavor.
But she was like, I tried it.
I looked it up.
She said there's like 90 grams of sugar in that shit.
I said, yo, what the fuck?
Another thing about Duncan.
You don't never need to look it up.
A Dunkin PR kick right now.
Another thing about, they have never reached out.
Another thing about Duncan is that they are constantly innovating.
There's another line of drinks every week.
Okay.
They got to collab with a different person every week.
Every time, every time I think about Dunkinette.
Like every time I see Duncan, I'm a true Dunkinette.
Yeah, I'm a duckin.
I should sell my own birch.
A little booty shorts, Dunkinette.
Okay, I'm going to go back to, we'll circle back to you getting into entertainment at all.
Right.
I would love, I know this to be true already because I've seen quite a few baby pictures
and I've spent a lot of time with you.
But I'm curious, did you always know you were going to, you were a star?
Have you had that feeling since you were a kid?
I do believe so.
Yeah.
I think I needed to like, it took time for me to accept that.
But I always wanted to make people laugh.
And I always was that kid that like had people surrounding me.
And I was like tapping my toes.
You know?
And they all were like, oh, he's different.
So I always love making people laugh.
I always love singing or performing in any capacity.
Right.
And then I think I like lost sight of that.
What was so beautiful is I had a best friend growing up who also wanted the same thing.
So we were like able to play with each other.
Yeah.
And then you get hit with reality and you're like, okay, like, I guess I should be a finance major.
I guess I need a real job.
Like, well, I was going to be a politician, which.
That would have been crazy.
That would have been crazy.
That would have been crazy.
Who said it's off the table though?
But at this point, you can do anything.
You got the mustache.
So there you go.
And I got the wave.
You would have been so great, though.
Just like, I think you would have been a wonderful politician, like, obviously, policy-wise.
Right.
But you would have been a dream, like, to interview, to do pressers.
I would have loved.
I mean, the thing is, I think that politics, regardless, it's like, it is about how you can make people feel what it should be.
Yeah.
And, like, how you can command a room and, like, being in somebody's presence.
And I feel like with the industry that we're into, like, when you're in certain rooms.
it does feel very political in a way.
No, it's super.
It's like, but then I was like, I got a taste and that's not for me.
I'll do this.
I'll do this.
I'll sit.
Yeah.
I can talk about being gay.
I'd much rather be a Duncanette, all right?
But I wrote for president of the United States.
No, I agree.
And I know also, too, that you've been venturing into stand-up.
I have.
How has that been?
I've been doing stand-up.
I've been doing improv.
I'm doing improv too.
Girl, let's talk about improv.
I'd love to keep out improv.
Please.
How are you feeling about it?
Okay.
So how am I feeling about it?
I love to improv with people I feel comfortable with when I'm at class.
Sometimes I'm paired with the 45-year-old man that I just walk up and I'm like, hey, babe.
I'm immediately making it my boyfriend in the scene.
You're obsessed with me.
Yeah, yeah.
Stop.
You always want to kiss me.
Like, it's weird.
I told you already.
I don't want to do that.
Right.
But I do love it.
I think it helps so much with having conversations with people and being able to pivot and real life things.
No, you're so right.
I think I'm going to be in an improv group.
I can't tell you that.
But with conversations and like even skits online, things like that, it's helping.
No, totally.
I'm glad you're doing it.
The class itself, like, I do have anxiety before I go.
It's three hours.
And I'm like, that's literally, did you and my sister talk about improv?
Yeah.
Because she was literally taking an improv class.
Yeah.
She told me, she goes, I don't know, I can't do it anymore, dude.
Like, she went to a couple and she's like, I don't know if I can keep doing this.
And she said, I feel like I would have a lot more fun with people I knew.
Right.
Yeah, which is like the kind of the shit part is like you can't really determine who's in the class, obviously.
I'm also in LA.
Like I'm going to a class at 3 p.m. on a Monday.
I'm like, who that hell is here?
But then I'm like, why am I here?
So everybody is trying to do the same thing.
Don't you guys have jobs and you're there too?
So I'm like, okay, I guess same.
Right. Let's do it.
But they all have these like different.
voices. It's like, it is fun.
What was your adjective that you used
the first day? Why did I?
Because my stupid sister, I'll tell you what hers was.
She goes,
she was, huh?
I showed it to him already. Oh, you showed it to him already.
Yeah, I'll tell the audience then what Dason used.
You know, you're supposed to use an adjective.
Like, so like my name is Drew and I would be like
dancing Drew or something. It's supposed to be like an adjective or a verb or
something like that. No, my dumbass sister goes,
dragon, Dason.
I was like, Dason.
I was like, Dason, supposed to be an adjective or like a verb.
Right.
And then she goes, well, I didn't know that.
And I was like, what about everybody else that went?
I think I did awesome.
Oh, that's great.
And I was like, awesome, Andrew.
And everyone's like, awesome, Andrew.
I'm like, yeah.
Because you have to, and then she said, and I did this.
I think it's really good.
Yeah, you're not.
Yeah, don't take the class.
Yeah, exactly.
It's really good if you're like allowing yourself.
What I love about improv, it's allowing you to be the kid that you once were.
Totally.
And it's sometimes so hard for us to allow ourselves to like be silly and weird.
But like sometimes like you strip the like the feel it back.
And I'm like, ooh.
Like we're all going like this.
I have a 30 year old man.
And like I'm 45.
And he's like crawling on the floor.
But it's fun.
You know, it's fun.
When I was in high school, I took acting.
and I remember our end,
like the first semester, like final,
was like a monologue.
So that one was kind of easy
because everyone just picks their own thing.
And then for the second semester final,
it was a group scene.
Like it had to be a scene.
And it had to be,
it could be from a movie or a play,
but like if it was in a movie,
you had to like transcribe it,
whatever the fuck.
I tried to do She's the Man
because that movie had just come out
at the time.
And I told this dumbass kid,
this yet again,
another straight man.
Of course.
Pissing me the fuck off.
I told him to do.
turn it in because I had something to do and he didn't turn it in and I hate him for it to this day.
So I got given a play. But the crazy thing is, is like I got paired with him. He was like a basketball
player, a cheerleader. And then this, I want to say 65 year old woman who was the helper of another
student who needed like an aid. The thing is like she's in the group because the students in the
group. Of course. But for some reason, this older woman was a heavy hand in our scene. She was like,
she really was like, I'm going to be this character.
She was like steering it and I was like, yeah.
All right, babe.
You wanted a little too bad.
She's the helper who stepped up.
And she was kind of driving it.
And that's what makes me think of improv because I'm like, I remember being fucking
14, 15 years old and I was like, why is this woman in our group?
Yeah, she was slaying it down.
She probably was.
Yeah, there was this, do you know tabloes when they do tabloes?
So a tableo is like a frozen, like it's like a frozen frame of something.
And in my drama class, I did this in college too.
They were like, oh, we're going to do a tableau.
So, like, everyone had to, like, freeze and, like, pause.
And, like, my teacher was, like, pick a pose.
Same 65-year-old woman.
Right.
She takes off her slippers, right?
Lays in the front of all the students.
There's probably, like, 30 kids, lays in the front on her side.
Yep.
And then opens up her legs and is, like, her foot's to the ceiling like this.
Toes pointed.
Oh, that's my girl.
Yeah.
Oh, that's my girl.
I would do the same exactness.
I was always the person that was in the front of the picture with my leg point in the air like I was Maddie's eagle.
Like, like, dance moms like could not keep up with me.
It's so good.
That's why I brought it up because I feel like that's a very huge trait.
So maybe in another life.
In another life.
Maybe that was you.
Exactly.
You were still finding a way to be the center of attention.
Of course, 65-year-old woman in class.
I will be that 65-year-old.
No, like I'd be in some community theater production.
Right. In some ways I am currently.
Always.
Okay, so stand-up. How's stand-up going?
I haven't flexed that muscle in a little bit.
I was doing it when it was in New York and before I came to L.A.
Yes.
I opened for Kat Cohen for a show.
We love Kat.
I think she's one of the funniest people ever.
And like what's so beautiful about being in comedy now is like people who believe in you
and believe that you're funny will like give me a stage, which is also scary.
And it's the biggest co-sign.
Exactly.
It's a huge cosine.
Writing is a completely different muscle.
I feel like podcasting.
I love to just be funny and I never know what's going to come out of my mouth.
And that's the beauty of it, right?
We're all in for a treat.
Exactly.
I will say the last time I did stand up, it was like talking to a wall.
And I've never felt so unfun funny.
I literally was like, are you guys serious?
That's part of the game.
No, it was.
So there was one comedian that went on before me who was a complete,
completely different vibe.
Very rage baiting.
Very like saying crazy things.
Yeah.
People were cracking up.
Really?
That's the most ominous feeling in the world.
Exactly.
Because I'm like trying to be sweet.
I'm like sweet and funny and she's like talking.
Like I said, I'm a Dunkinette.
So obviously I'm trying to be sweet.
Exactly.
I probably made a joke about Duncan.
Everyone's like this.
I was like, okay.
It's so painful.
It was really painful.
Yeah.
But you got it.
When you get knocked down, you got to get right back up.
and I took some time to be down
but now it's time to get right back up
and that's also not like any indicator
of whether or not you're funny
it is the rooms like in a lot of ways
it's the rooms I was supposed to do
when I thought for half a second
I was like maybe I'll try stand up
when I was going to do a show for a really big comedian
and she asked me like really early on in the year
and then that's when I called Caleb
and I was like hey I'd love some tips
because like and he was like
he listened to me like he was
was like validating me.
And then after I said everything, he goes, well, if you're going to do fucking five for
her, you have to do five for me first.
I asked you first.
And I started laughing.
I was like, but I told you I'm not doing it.
I'm trying to learn.
And he was like, okay, come learn with me.
Do mine first.
And so I was like, okay.
But I ended up canceling with the bigger comedian, which I, like that huge comedian,
which I was glad I did at the time.
I just couldn't make it work scheduling wise.
But I was honestly really glad because the rooms that like the card she put me on or like
the lineup she put me on, there were comics I wasn't familiar with.
But when I looked up one of them, it was the same kind of vibe where it was like, this is like a rage baity thing.
If this is the room, I'm going to flop, girl.
They're not going to like me.
Like they're almost like on purpose going to like not laugh on purpose.
I know.
I think that's what it is too.
It's like people are saying like go and when you're doing standup, go to open mics, which has been really helpful because you do get in front of so many different groups of people.
Yeah.
But if you were to put out a show for your stand up, you know your girls are showing up for you.
And they're going to laugh regardless.
Right.
And that's what I felt to when we do live shows for the podcast.
Like, they are showing up for me.
So even if I'm scared before I step on stage, I'm like, they don't want to see me fail.
So stand up, like, I definitely want to keep leaning into it.
But then I'm like, all I want is a mic and a stage.
That like that is actually, and I don't want you to classify me as anything.
It's like almost.
You're so real.
Andrew Muscarella auditions for everything.
Like, I actually just want to get on the stage and like, I want to do stand up.
I want to sing like it's American Idol.
I'm going to do a floor routine like I'm out of Ziegler.
I'm going to do some sort.
of a crazy acting bit like I want to
Oh baby I'm a jack of all trades
That's it's right Michelle
You came to my circus
And if you think about it that is kind of like cat
That is what cat does
And that's why her audience was
I've never felt funnier
I was like everyone there was so supportive
And like because she is so amazing
She cracks me the fuck up
When someone's being funny
I'm gonna laugh
And I think that I was like
I think sometimes you guys think if you have to be super
nonchalant when you're being funny
otherwise you're not taken seriously as a comic.
Right.
I disagree.
I love to entertain and I love to be entertained.
So I love when people are cracking jokes and I'm laughing my ass.
That's why I love comedy.
I love going to shows.
But you're so real, though, about like wanting just the stage in the mic.
That's it.
That's it.
And room to run.
Even if there's five people, sure.
But I'm not right in this.
Because it is the structure.
I don't do well with structure.
Let me, it's the ADHD in me.
Yeah, yeah.
Well, and that's where you're your funniest because that's why I think improv is a wonderful thing for you because you are so quick on your feet, which is comedy, essentially.
But I feel the same way.
I'm like, it's just not my favorite.
Like, I'm good and I like to make people laugh.
I love to hear the laughs live.
But that's also why I like to perform live because I feel like when I do the pod with days on the road, like that's always fun.
There's nothing better.
And like you said, like your fans come and you're having fun and having a blast.
It's like it's, I think it scratches that itch for me.
It does.
Laughing with the girls.
Yeah.
There really is nothing better.
You know what's funny is like sometimes, this is like kind of on part with the same thing.
I'll like get ready.
And if I'm like doing my makeup and I'm like, God, I don't want to do this.
Yeah.
I'll sometimes pretend I'm giving like the vanity fair my makeup tutorial.
I'm like and then I'll, I'll literally crack jokes to myself.
I'll laugh and I'll go, man, if I ever do that, I'm going to kill.
I'm going to kill it.
I'm going to cut me accepting my Oscar speech.
Like it's like I will do anything
But that's manifesting
Listen
There you go
It's all part of it
Of course
I know you're on your audition grind
Yeah
How's that going?
Me too
I'm throwing my pussy in the wind
Seeing who catches the scent
I'm doing the same thing
Just on the backside
You know
And your busies in the woods
And I'm catching some
But no
I yeah it's been
You know
We're out here
We're trying to grind
And I do believe
The more you do it
The more things will come
I agree.
I do.
It's also like, it's so interesting once you like meet people and meet other people that you believe to be funny because I want to be writing.
My friends are writing.
Yeah.
I know people who want shows to be developed and there's nothing better than working with people that you believe are funny.
Because when that show happens, the cosmic energy on screen, people are going to be like, this is the best show to ever exist.
Right.
So like, yeah, you want to cast me as waiter number two?
Like, I'll do that.
Like, just get my face on the screen.
But the day that I can be in a show with my friends is going to be everything.
I agree.
And I look at like a Fire Island, the movie, right?
Yeah.
Those guys being friend and then creating something that I still watch and I'm like,
that actually, as cliche as it sounds, was a huge catalyst for me being comfortable with going to Fire Island.
No way.
That's so sweet.
For so long, I thought it was like I was only going to be surrounded by people that looked
exactly the same or the same exact type of body or whatever.
Yeah, totally.
But then seeing a group that resembled my group of friends was like, oh, I can do this.
And then I went and I had the best time in my life.
Oh, my God.
My bussy was in the wind.
You know what I have?
And let me tell you something.
My pussy was in that way.
It was in that way.
But yeah, we're going to keep, listen, any casting directors listening.
Yes, if you're listening.
Yes, both of us.
Both of us.
We should do like rom-com lead, you and I.
Oh, easy.
Oh, my God.
You know what's so.
You can also, I think I can play straight.
I think you could too.
What's up?
You look straight.
Okay.
If you don't, if you don't open your mouth or walk.
Right.
Yeah.
Or walk or like.
Yeah.
If you sit completely fucking still and don't talk, I'd get it.
And it's the rock and bod.
Honestly, that's what it is.
It's the big, it's, you got big Hercules tities, girl.
And I love that.
I worked for these.
Okay.
And they need that.
They need more.
They need more.
Bury's boot camp.
Hey guys, so listen, whether you're working out, hiking outdoors, traveling, or just trying to feel your best, staying hydrated matters.
Did you know hydration affects almost everything, energy, focus, workouts, and even how you're feeling throughout the day?
So over 75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated without even realizing.
So what do we do about that?
Well, instant hydration is a premium electrolyte drink mix designed to support hydration,
energy, recovery, focus, and overall performance without sugar or unnecessary additives.
Me personally, I try to keep myself as hydrated as much as possible and fun fact.
A lot of the time when I'm recording this podcast, I'm actually drinking electrolytes out of my
comment section mug.
And that is because the instant hydration mixes are super easy to just open and mix in
with water before we shoot an episode.
and they help give me an extra boost of energy and focus.
They're also really great for a travel day when you know you'll be at the airport,
sitting on a plane for hours, or to take before or after your workout.
Honestly, there isn't ever a bad time to be hydrated,
so you can take them with you anywhere you'd like.
I also love that instant hydration contains zero sugar,
which means no glucose spike and no sugar crash.
A lot of other electrolyte drinks have this salty taste or kind of chalky consistency,
but instant hydration has refreshing flavors with a smooth taste that isn't overly salty.
Super easy to add them in as a daily habit.
For a better way to stay hydrated, go to instanthydration.com slash comment and use my promo
code comment for over 40% off your first subscription order.
It's instant hydration's best offer available.

Hey, y'all, guess what?
your favorite friend group is back. FX's adults follows five roommates living in New York,
leaning on each other to navigate love, work, friendship, and family, while tackling pressing
questions of your 20s, like, what if the person who inherited your fake idea is cooler than you ever
were? Ever heard of it? Why does being around your family make you regress into your worst self?
Ugh, hate when that happens. And how do you tell your roommates that you have other friends?
FX's adults, all episodes now streaming on Hulu.
How has your journey that Barry's been?
It's honestly been great.
I am somebody who I don't like running,
and unless someone who was telling me to get on the treadmill
and pick it up to a level 10, I'm not doing it.
That's so too.
I wake up, I get in that class,
and the journey happens in 50 minutes,
and I leave and I don't even know what happened.
You know what I mean?
Like, I black out in that room.
There are, again, I'm somebody who I don't,
personally understand when people take their shirts off in a workout class because I'm like,
who the hell do you think?
Okay, the point of a shirt is to wick sweat, right?
That's what you think.
Now, when your shirt is off and you're in the class with me, where is your sweat going?
On me?
On my bench?
Oh, are you taking the wipe?
No.
Now I'm sliding on your sweat, but you want to look good in the mirror.
That's amazing.
That's cool.
For you and you alone.
No one else is here.
No.
I'm just pissed that I'm sloshing around on your bench.
Slipping and sliding.
I do love it.
I mean, again, fitness has been something that, like, I turned to during COVID and has.
Yes, because I do want to say Andrew is fit as hell, but also has an extensive
background in fitness.
Because I studied on that.
Look at you.
I trainer at Equinox.
Exactly.
Period.
Period.
Because that was another thing for me that, like, I grew up really big.
And I never felt comfortable in spaces.
I never felt like, especially gym spaces, never felt like I belonged.
I always felt like people were looking.
at me all the time, even though, like, that is genuinely not the case.
I think that people do get in the gym and they think that they're being perceived, but,
like, you got to just let go.
But everybody's thinking that.
Right.
And then I was, like, losing weight in a pretty unhealthy way because I was like, I just want
to be perceived as thin.
And I was like, let me study this because I got time.
It was COVID.
Let me figure out how to actually, like, fuel my body and, like, look the way I want to look.
Yeah.
And help people feel comfortable when they walk through the door and be like, girl,
I have a bigger body in fitness.
I want you to feel comfortable in this space if I'm here.
And that was like the past seven years of my life.
I really genuinely think that's so beautiful and amazing.
I think the fitness world especially needs people like you.
Like my, you know, my man's a trainer too.
So like my man is also a kind of trainer.
Like him studying like physical fitness in that way and nutrition and all that.
Really, I say this all the time.
And I'm like, I am not being hyperbolic.
It has really shifted my perspective on fitness.
in a wonderful way.
It's like taking all of it off anti-fat and put it more on to, this is going to help
me live longer, be able to walk longer, be able to like hold myself up, get up from a chair
longer.
Yeah.
Like it's really shifted my perspective on fitness and how it relates to the body.
Yeah.
So I do, I love that content that you post to about fitness because I think it's important
that we have, we take up more space in the fitness space.
Right.
And it's not solely predicated on how thin you are, how like, uh,
mussely you are, whatever it is.
It's solely based off of I feel good, I feel strong, I feel capable.
And when you can realize, like, what I learned for so long, especially, like, growing up
bigger and people telling me that I needed to lose weight, I think that was my biggest reason
for not wanting to lose weight.
Oh, that's a good point.
You're telling me that I need to lose weight.
I'm not doing it for you.
Like, fuck off.
And you can just kind of, like, continue the spiral of whatever that was for you.
But then when I was able to be like, actually, I deserve to feel good.
and this clears my mind and I'm away from my phone for an hour and I'm listening to good music.
And I just feel like that bitch when I look at myself in the mirror and I'm doing my deadlifts.
And then I look at my ass and I'm like, exactly.
Exactly.
Right.
I know.
I love that you have a fitness background.
I feel like that's, I feel like it's important in so many different ways.
But I also think like you are so warm and magnetic.
So it like it creates this like very warm space for you.
you to be able to convince people because you're right.
It is like the fear more than anything.
It's just like the fear surrounding it and it's like actually no one's really ever thinking
about you nearly that much.
No.
But it's hard to get past that.
Yeah.
Especially if you grow up bigger.
Yeah.
And especially if you grow up in an environment where you never really did anything fitness related.
Even for me like I've talked about this a lot about especially because I've defended so
many people like from fat phobia.
And I've talked a lot about unpacking fat phobia and like wanting to perceive or pursue body
neutrality. Right. And so I've talked a lot about how like for me growing up, I don't know how it was
for you, but for me, I was like, I grew up around fat people. Yeah. My whole life. So like my idea of
fatness is very different. And so my idea and perspective of fatness has never like through my
eyes, fatness has never stopped anyone from getting married, from falling in love, from having
children, from being successful at work. Like fatness has never deterred anyone that I've known personally.
And also I'm like, sometimes I have to think I'm like, we need to redefine what fat means because
Some of you guys, like when Meg Salter was on here, she was like, you know, they're saying that about Addison Ray.
And I was like, I'm going to, I'm going to, that she's a fatty.
That's insane.
Wait, did you know, though, she leaned into it because she had, and I bought it, she had a plus size Barbie collection of dolls of her, like, back in the day.
Addison Ray.
They gave her a plus size Barbie.
Hey, where's mine?
I'll be right in the box right.
Yeah.
You and I both need one.
What the fuck is that?
I'm the cat and you're the Barbie.
Like, come on.
I've been the plus size batty on the fucking TikTok for fucking ever.
There you go.
But yeah,
I don't know.
We have a,
we have a skewed perception of like all of this.
Yeah,
I agree.
I don't know.
It's such a interesting space.
Yeah,
I think your fitness videos were so fun too.
Because I'm sure you,
you know this too because you're a trainer.
You have been a trainer for a long time.
But like,
it's movement is movement.
Yeah.
I've told people all the time.
If it gets you up and it gets you sweating and you love it.
love it and you have fun doing it that's important yeah it is there is no one one right way but once
you get past the fear and you're having fun then you can start to grow it yeah and try other things
and you find and you find your comfortable space like if it's like going with a friend or i think the
easiest way is going to a fitness class because again nobody is watching you yeah yeah yeah
that's what it should be yeah and if they're watching you it's because like maybe they want to talk to
you after that's been my dream for that's ever
I love that.
You and I have the exact same mentality in that.
I'm like, if I gaslight myself, no one can touch me.
No, exactly.
I can tell myself anything.
I walk in the gym and I'm like, I am the sexiest person.
Me too.
And actually everyone is so lucky to be in my aura.
And everyone's going to want to hit on me and then what?
That's it.
What am I going to do?
I'm going to break the news?
No.
But then I'm like, oh, because they were so scared.
They were so intimidated by me.
Exactly.
So I just couldn't.
Couldn't.
Okay, I'm going to pivot back.
To acting.
This is the place to manifest.
Yeah.
Let me tell you something.
Right.
This is the place to manifest.
That is the chair to manifest in.
So what would be a dream role for you to have?
TV, show, movie, or both.
Okay.
So a dream role, I think I'm obviously best suited for a comedy.
Yes, too.
I would assume.
Obviously, HACS is no longer on air, but I think I could have been, I would have loved to be in HACS.
Yes.
I also, and I know this is crazy because, like, I want to show off this face in this body.
But I really want to get into voice acting.
And I would love like a, I know big mouth doesn't exist either, but like something in the Nick Kroll universe where it's like.
Oh, that would be so deep.
I can do like a little Lola, like a wee, wee, wait.
You know, like I can make my voice anything.
Or like Bob's burgers?
Bob's burgers.
Oh, that would be so cheap.
I think that's something that I really am fueled by.
Oh, I love that.
I love that.
Yeah.
I love voice acting.
I love voice acting.
And I honestly don't even know how to get started in that because I think my, my, my, my, my,
is podcasting.
So people listening to me.
It's all about who you know and you know me.
And I know you.
And do you know what to animate her?
Because then we can get it in of voice acting.
Yeah, no, I think that like some sort of I grew up on the broad cities.
I grew up on like Penn 15 is another huge one.
Like the other.
We had Anna Conklin on.
Love her.
Love her.
She's amazing.
The other two.
Like there's so many shows where I watch it and I'm like, I want to be in that.
Yeah.
I could kill.
I could kill and with the improv of it all too.
Like I, I obviously can study the lines.
I can, I can memorize, but like give me the opportunity.
Bringing it to life.
To just make it my own.
Girl.
And what about heated rivalry?
Oh, no.
I see, I can get into heated rivalry.
Listen to me.
I think you have the bod for it.
Because you know what.
That smoothie guy?
That could have been you, bitch.
I am freaking out because I literally looked at him and I was like, hold on.
That could be me.
Reheated my nachos.
People have told me I look like him before.
Yes.
I'm like, okay.
That's amazing.
Thank you.
But I would love to be in heated rivalry.
And I think that like, again, let's show a little bit.
I'm a beefier man.
Let's get the beefy bodies on this thing.
Listen to me, I need your Hercules titties on a show oiled up.
Oiled up, bitch.
Bouncing beyond belief.
I need you to start getting these men to do chest more because I'm sick of it.
I can't stand in a concave chest.
I'm so.
over it. I want you to have tits.
And honestly, I don't want to see your six-pack.
I don't. I want to see your boobs. I want to see your
like kind of tones belly, but like you don't really
give a fuck and you have big arms. You're so
me because I think the same fight. I say I could give a fuck less about the belly.
I want titties. Yeah. And I want big arms.
It's going to be like, it has to be like heated rivalry,
but like for like javelin throwers. You know what I mean?
Like it has to be like something that's like I'm doing something like with your
right. Or you're a rest of.
You could be a wrestler.
Me and a singlet.
Listen.
Boner City.
Population everyone.
People would be freaking.
Wait, okay, I'm going to write that show.
Yeah, we have, okay, we have to manifest you getting on heated rivalry.
Because I'm dead ass Andrew.
When I saw the smoothie guy, I was like, and that could have been Andrew.
When I first saw it, I was like, okay, so you do let these kinds of gays on here.
Right.
And I'm like, strawberry banana.
smoothie today.
You know, like, come on.
Andrew, I'm literally imagining, like, a bigger, taller gay guy picking you up like that.
I'm imagining.
And I'm getting, like, giddy thinking about it for you.
Oh, like, getting rid of the day.
No, like, I would.
And I would.
I'll do it, guys.
And I would.
And it's crazy because I'm really, I'm available for it.
Listen.
So, yeah.
This is where we're manifesting it for you because I, I, it's true.
I saw and I you were the first person I thought of I was like I can't believe because I'm thinking of I'm thinking of shorter gay guys with a rock and bod.
Andrew Muscarella here I am obviously I appreciate that genuinely so much and even if I don't get into heated rivalry too like I'm going to spiritually feel like I'm in it yes or three four five I feel like that's gonna yeah or they're just reheating your nachos like what if they saw you and they were like okay we need you to model after this guy I think they might have done it.
They probably did.
The way that those men catapulted into fame too is beyond.
I know.
That's my big break.
Just put me on the screen.
I'm good.
And let me take my tits out.
Let me take my tits out.
I will show ass.
And you know what?
I'll do full frontal.
You know what?
I don't care.
I have released a lot of shame in my life.
Listen.
And I'll do whatever it takes.
I am in it to win it.
I am really in it to win it.
I'm so excited for you.
What about like a movie?
movie. If you could pick a movie, like we obviously said comedy. Okay. So I think for a movie for me,
I, I would want to be, I only, not that I only ever see myself with like a duo, but I kind of want
to be in like the heat, like Melissa McCarthy type beat with San Diego. Andrew, you have no idea
how much that movie means to me. You have no idea. I talk about that movie all the time on here.
That movie in Hobbs and Shaw, for some reason those are the two movies I'd talk about constantly.
Yeah. That is one of my favorite movies ever. It's so fun.
It's so good.
There's like a little bit of like action, but then it's also like funny.
Yeah, it's like slapstick.
Yeah.
Comedy.
They're like throwing themselves over a car, you know.
I've always, because that was another thing like growing up.
I always like watched the like the Seth Rogans.
Right.
Like when I was in high school, I really was trying to be like Seth Rogen.
And I don't know why.
Like I was like looking like him.
But like that was like the type of humor that I was watching.
And it was always those duos.
Same.
And that makes sense because when you on Jump Street.
That makes sense because.
We're the same age because I'm 32.
So same.
I was just saying the other day, I feel like we need to make more comedies like that again.
Like couples retreat, you remember that movie?
I literally was thinking about couples retreat the other day and I was like, that is such a funny movie.
I wish we would bring those back.
Exactly.
Like those kinds of comedies.
They've been gone.
And listen, maybe we just got to write it.
You and I have to resurrect it.
With the heat, sorry, I guess.
It's just the heat, but it's just the two of us.
It's a shot for shot remake, but it's just the two of us.
Like, the heat too.
The Heat Part 2.
It's just heated rivalry.
Even like all of Melissa McCarthy's like discography is so funny to me.
So funny.
Like no one gave a fuck about Tammy, but I loved that movie.
I thought it was really good.
Did you like it?
I loved it.
I really liked it.
I do believe that anything that she's in like I do laugh.
Me too.
It's just the way that she delivers lines and just she's so charismatic.
Yes.
That yeah, I really have always loved her humor.
So I think that I am very heavily influenced by her.
Likewise.
I agree.
We're going to resurrect it, you and I.
We're going to bring it back.
I'm so glad we're talking about this so we can manifest.
I put two dolls on Broadway from that chair.
So I will get you to heated rivalry.
So help me, God.
So help us all God.
Please, please.
Okay.
Listen, I will get hockey lessons.
Okay, I am athletic.
I can be goalie.
I can do whatever they need.
Oh, my God.
And now I'm like picturing me just putting you in the place of that guy.
But I'm like picturing the scene where he's like in the crowd and he like tells him to come down.
And I'm like.
And you're running onto the ice to get your big kiss.
Or like I can also play like because there's hockey but then like what if I was just like maybe I was a figure skater?
You know what I mean?
Yes.
Forbidden love.
But I would need a stone double because I can't hit the triple axle yet.
But like the triple axle into like my big man hugging me.
I don't know which one would be my type though.
That's true.
They would have to, we would have to write in a new character.
We would have to workshop.
Because they're all very pretty.
And taken.
And that's amazing, and taken.
But I need like, man.
I need a man.
I need a man.
Okay.
So that's, and you know what?
Since I'm moving into acting to or trying to, I feel the same way because I'm a big
girl too.
Right.
So I'm like, I need them to be at least a little bit bigger than me.
Like, I can't be the big man.
No.
On set.
It's got to be someone else.
Exactly.
That being said, though, if I can be honest with you for a sec, I am getting, I am a little nervous about doing intimacy scenes.
Intimacy. I am a little nervous only because men infuriate me, so I'm worried that will translate on the camera.
Yeah.
Going to have to really method act when I start doing that.
I can't imagine being in your, like, to even like be in the same room as a straight man, like sometimes I'm like, but like to be in an intimacy scene with them.
No.
I'm so deeply horrified and worried about it.
that being said, I am a liar and I will do it.
But I'm very, like, even sometimes, like, one time I was telling my cousin Adam,
it was like super early in the morning he was glaming me.
And I was like, I had just done, like, maybe my very first self-tape ever.
Right.
For something that had no romance.
I was a real side character, didn't even get it, so it's not a big deal.
But when I sent it in, I was, like, telling Adam, I was like, I don't know,
just sometimes I think about doing intimacy scenes and I get nervous.
Because I'm like, what if, like, oh, what if it has to be, like, so intimate and whatever?
I was like really stressing about it as if something was happening.
Like you got cast in the role.
And it's literally four in the morning when he was glaring me and he goes,
okay, first of all,
you haven't been cast.
So why don't you calm down?
Right.
First of all,
and I was laughing and he goes,
second of all,
just like,
I think it'll be fine.
Right.
I think you're going to be so good.
And I was like,
here I am creating problems I haven't even had yet.
But that's what we do.
That's what we do.
We have to be prepared.
Because we see it.
And I think that is the thing.
It's like,
we see it happening for ourselves.
So we already feel the.
feelings before it even exists.
And I'm like, how am I going to do this?
Maybe I'm just going crazy, but in a way that you can see, it's like, that's just us being
artistic.
I agree.
Yeah.
And again, manifesting.
Manifesting.
Which we're big fans of.
This episode is brought to you by Vinted.

Speaking of TVs and anything you've been loving lately? I'm so curious. I know you're a reality
girl. I know you love reality. I am. I've been really watching reality lately and I have been
been watching married at first sight. Have you seen? I've never watched it, but I do know it.
Girl, that is crazy though. This season was wild. No one is talking about it. It really is like,
it's just you watching it. I'm not kidding. Me on Google looking up applications. I will do it all.
I'll do it all. I was trying to get a married at first sight. I'm like, all I need is someone who is,
I mean, yes, I need to be physically attracted to stuff. I need you to be like committed to one.
wanting to be in this relationship and wanting to choose me, nice to me.
Yeah.
Like I will give the matchmakers, my physical attributes, or whatever, and just show up at
that damn altar.
Put the ring on my finger and we figure it out from there.
Okay?
Because it's really.
Just show up.
That's it.
It's married at first sight.
I think it would be really great.
But that show is really so, so, so good.
I'm also watching the ultimatum.
O.T.
That, but those shows for me are like mindless.
So I can be working.
I can be doing other things as I'm watching them.
And that's just like.
That's how Dace watches Housewives.
Exactly.
She's like, it's good for me.
I do want to be watching more scripted television.
I've been rewatching search party.
Oh, I've never heard of that.
Oh, you need to watch Search Party.
Ooh.
It is phenomenal.
It's a comedy thriller.
Ooh, Tate.
There's five seasons.
It takes place in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
And I'm forgetting the main actress's name, but John Early is in it.
Okay.
Um, hilarious.
And it's, it's so, so good.
That's another show that I feel like I would love to be in because it's not happening
anymore, but like, uh, again, I love action and comedy.
Yeah, that's a good point.
Because there's so many ways to bridge it together.
That's true.
And then there's a lot of like space for improv if it's funny.
Yeah.
When it's like funny, you can kind of like, you know, have fun with the lines or play a little
little bit.
What should I watch though?
Do you have any like good, good shows for me?
Oh my God, girl.
I've been talking about this show forever.
and like for no reason other than I was just such a huge fan.
The show Paradise.
Never heard of it.
Bitch on Hulu.
Okay.
You got to watch it.
It's crazy.
How many seasons?
It's only two right now.
Oh, easy.
Because it's new.
And it's starring Sterling K. Brown.
And James Marsden's another person in it.
I'm forgetting everybody else's his name.
But I just know Sterling Kay Brown is the main character.
And he plays essentially the head of secret service of the current president
of the United States, but it opens, it takes place in the now, but a little bit in the future.
Got it.
And it's basically, he's the head of secret service and the right-hand guy, like the most trusted
advisor to the president when the world ends.
And so the world ends.
Like that's, I won't spoil anything else because it's like a crazy spoiler, even at the
end of the first, very first episode.
So like the world ended though?
Yeah, but the world, they, he was in office when the world ended.
So like, it's kind of like you have to go back in time first and then you go back to the
president.
Oh, I'm into that.
It's fucking nuts.
Another season coming?
The newest season came out this year.
So like I watched it right before I moved.
And I remember me and my man like there was like the season finale and we watched it in our old house with just like we just had two chairs and nothing else in the house.
When I was like I need to fucking watch this.
I need to watch this.
Because our TV hadn't been taken yet.
And so it's fucking crazy.
It's so dramatic.
It's like a thriller.
It's like kind of funny, but it's mostly a thriller.
serious and it's really sad, but it's crazy.
I'm into it.
Like it gets, the plot just gets nuts and like, and it's so fun to watch.
It's like, it's one of those where I haven't, it was so random that I just like, was like,
let's try this.
Let's watch this.
I never do that either.
I'm like, I'm so, I've been diagnosed for this, so don't.
Like by the internet before where I just watch the same things like over and over again.
I mean, me with search party.
I'm like, there's so many new things that are coming out, but like I always find myself
rewatching something because that's the beauty of television or movies or anything like
i've seen the odyssey now like three times even though it's like a three-hour movie like i'm
really crazy but every single time i see it like i pick up on something different and then you know
what happens at the end so you at the beginning can make the connectors yeah that's why i rewatch
television because now i actually understand why that character dip that you know it just
takes maybe a little bit slower it just takes me a little bit longer yeah me too me too i'm
I feel like when Chris Fleming was on, he said that he's a culture scavenger.
Yeah.
So he just goes and digs through all the rubbish after everyone's done with it.
So that's me with heated rivalry.
Have you seen interview with a vampire?
No, but it's on my list.
Because I'm going to credit Joe for this one because he's been telling me to watch it for a really, really long time.
And I watched the first season.
I haven't seen the second season yet.
But that one is really phenomenally done.
And it's also like gay pot lines.
Yes.
And sexy.
And it's sexy and it's vampires.
And it's like French.
And it's like, ooh.
I actually wrote that one down to watch because I'm writing my fiction book.
So that's actually why I watched Paradise because I was like, I'm going to try to watch different things and maybe things in different languages and cultures to try and like see how people depict love, romance, friendship, like brotherhood, sisterhood, that kind of thing.
So Paradise was like wonderful because the way they write characters is so beautiful in that show and their like connection to each other.
But interview with a vampire, I had written down too because that's fantasy element.
Yeah.
And I was like, okay, maybe I need to get into this.
I just recently watched my first Korean drama.
Oh, how was it?
Honestly, a gag.
Yeah.
It was so camp.
Like, I was like, oh, this is camp and fucking crazy.
And, like, the plots are just fucking insane.
Now, or when you're watching TVs or a TV or a movie in a different language,
are you watching it in the language with subtitles in English, or are you watching with dubbed?
I'm watching it in the native language
with English subtitles.
Yeah, so I was, I watched.
Yeah, so you have to watch.
You have to.
Yeah, that was another thing.
I was like, I called like,
I watched this dumb ass show on Netflix called Finding Her Edge.
Also love if you're into ice skaters.
I'm obsessed with ice skaters.
Girl, I watched the 10 second preview thing that they show and it was like,
you can't pair me with the bad boy of ice dancing.
Clicked.
Done.
Hey, sold me.
Oh, and it's like, act it.
an actual.
Yeah, scripted.
Yeah.
So it's like it's like the summer I turn pretty-esque.
Like it's like it's corny.
It's a love triangle.
It's one of those.
Okay.
Loved it.
It sometimes takes me a second to get into something and I don't give shows enough time.
If you're not getting me in the first five minutes, I'm like, all right.
Next one.
Wrap it up.
I'm done.
I think I'm like, I don't even know.
Like I think I'm the best actor in the world.
I've never gotten on stage.
that's how they're going to read that line.
Come on, girl.
Next.
Well, I made this joke to Leo Gonzalez, too, once where I was like, do you ever watch some
things and you're like, I could do that?
Right.
But like that's my arrogance, but not.
That's delusional brain.
That's any gay man with drag race.
I'm like, you try to do makeup, babe.
You sew that dress.
They're like, I can do that.
I'm like, no, you can't.
No, you can't.
But when I watch Sidney's Minnie Act, yes, I can.
Yes.
We all can do that.
Yes, I can't.
Yeah, for sure.
I recommend Paradise.
Okay.
And I'll watch your search party.
Done.
Look at that.
Look at us.
I'm going to, I genuinely will watch Paradise within the next two weeks.
How long are the episodes?
I think they're like 30, 40 minutes.
Easy.
Nothing crazy.
Give me a day.
Yeah.
And you're just like me too because with reality because the only reality show I ever keep up with,
but I do always watch when it comes out is the Great British Making show.
Easy.
The only one.
So good.
I'm like every year I'm like yes.
Please.
Every time it comes back.
I'm like yes.
And everyone's like so sweet.
Yes.
And the music in the background is just like, oh, you're just happy watching it.
No, it's the best.
I literally tell everyone it's like they're competing for a fucking cake stand.
You're like, it's cake week.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I'm like, oh my God, it's bread week.
I love that show.
Oh my God.
Every time I get approached about reality, I'm like, no, no, no.
Every time they try to put me on reality anything.
I'm like, no, unless you're talking about the Great British Making show.
Well, that's like that.
Get me on that show.
My dream is, I mean, I have so many dreams.
I think that that is also the problem with, like, trying to find your path.
Because I want to act, of course, like, reality, I'll do it.
I'll either host or I'll be on love as blinds.
I'll do whatever you need.
But when it comes to food and me, I'm obsessed with food in a crazy way.
I want to be the next generation's Guy Fietti.
It's get me a show like diners, drive-ins and dives.
Andrew, when I tell you that's my man's favorite show ever,
he showed me triple D.
It's so good.
It's so fucking good.
Triple D with these triple Ds.
We're rolling out.
Let's go.
I'll show you some triple D's.
Yeah, exactly.
But to get paid to eat and be filmed and talk to the chef.
Andrew,
you would kill at something like that.
Let's get it.
Like, you know,
like so.
Oh my God.
That's a dream manifesting that as well.
Me thinking about people if I can plug you into that.
I'm like,
who do I know?
Who do I know?
Who do I know that's connected to Guy Fieri?
And the way that he says is last day.
It's either Fieri or he like,
to say fieti yeah fiatian but i'm like you are not italian nothing about that hair is italian okay
listen oh my god andrew imagine he like passed the torch to you i would yeah i would i would
love that give me the torch or like man versus man versus food oh you ever seen that one of course
that one's scary food yeah that one's a little that one's a little much yeah that one for me i don't
think i can throw myself into that one quite yet uh
But yeah, any like, any like, even traveling and eating the cuisines.
Oh, girl.
With, like, just talking to the camera, I'll do it.
That is truly a job made for you.
I would love.
Honestly, you would care.
I just like, and I can do that on my own as well.
I understand that.
Like, I could do all of this, but I'm just like, I want the network to come calling.
Like, sorry.
Oh, is that so wrong?
Oh, sorry.
I've been waiting for the food network to reach out, but they haven't.
I'll say, like, I got an ask to go.
on, God, what's the one with...
Bobby Flee?
Yeah.
Be Bobby Flee.
Is it Iron Chef or...
No, Gordon Ramsey.
It's with Gordon Ramsey.
Oh.
I forget the one where he has them compete and then they like serve it to guest judges or whatever.
Okay.
I thought it was beat Bobby Flee too, but it wasn't.
I think it was Gordon Ramsey.
It was Master Chef.
Master Chef.
Was it?
No, no.
Iron Chef.
That's what it is.
I got an ass to do Iron Chef, like, be like a guest.
But I thought they were having me cook.
and I was like, oh no, I can't cook for shit.
I literally told my team, I was like, I can't cook for shit.
You're not getting me, girl.
They want you on iron stuff?
I was like, I can't be doing that shit.
And then they were like, no, no, no, it's to be a judge.
And then I was like, yeah, I would love to do that.
I literally was like, oh, I get served and I get to tell jokes and be annoying.
Yeah.
And like, eat the food.
It'd be like, good.
I mean, like, I hate sour cream, so.
Sorry.
You get the sour cream on the side.
It's like a Michelin chef.
Oh my God, I think that is so T.
You would rock at Triple D.
I would love.
Oh, my God, okay, I'm going to think about that.
Or it's just called Double D's.
Double D's.
Sud, Triple D, Double D.
I am, my wheels are turning.
There you go.
I'm thinking.
All the cogs are turning.
Okay, I do have some fun facts about you.
Please.
But you can let me know if they're fun.
Okay.
And it says last time Andrew was on the show, we unpacked some of your past jobs, including F-45 trainer.
and congressional finance intern.
So we dug up other past jobs of yours that we could find.
And you can just kind of comment as you please.
Scared.
Okay, well, the first one's not that bad.
And I did know this about you.
You were a spin instructor for two years.
Absolutely.
How was spin?
It was amazing.
Like instructing it was amazing because it also, it just feels,
one, you get to make the playlist, so I'm a DJ.
Two, I'm a choreographer.
Three, like, I'm on mic.
So and you're just kind of like and tap it back.
You know, it's just like, and it's fun.
And like when you can get like, because also you can take the opportunity to get off the bike and no one's like, oh, he doesn't want to ride.
Like I don't want to ride.
But you're just like walking around and you're telling people things.
Yeah.
And I liked to take other spin classes to hear what coaches were saying.
And I recently went to, I think I don't know if I told, maybe I told Jason this.
But I was, I was in a soul cycle class in L.A.
Oh my God.
And there was this coach and he gets off.
and he's just like walking around and saying things that didn't make sense.
But then I'd be like, no, he's so tea for that.
He was like, you know what the traffic looks like on the high road?
There is none.
Pick it up.
I'm like, oh shit.
I was like, I will take the high road.
You are so right.
You are so right.
Like I will not keep perseverating on that thing or like want to fight that person.
You're so real.
So like it's just like that's what it was.
able to like throw out there when I was a spin instructor.
Just say a bunch of things.
The crazy things that people are like, just getting someone to woo was everything.
They were like, woo!
I did my job.
I did it.
You said I lived for it.
Yeah, but I did that two years.
That's honestly so real because I did my first group class.
I haven't done a group fitness class in fucking years.
And my girlfriend was like, oh, do you want to take a bar class with me?
And I was like, oh my God, yeah, sure.
Like I go to this bar class.
I was like, never done bar.
I'm familiar with it with the trappings of it, but I've never done one.
Bitch, I sweat through my sweat.
My sports bra all, first of all.
I sweat through that, though.
There was probably like nine of us in there, older women, and then me and my girlfriend.
Like everyone was like in their late 40s and then it's the two of us.
And at first when I walked in, I like grabbed, like I was like a couple minutes late because I had to park like somewhere crazy.
And so they had just started.
And so everyone already had their like weights, like their little weights.
And there was a giant pile of.
of them. So I just went and grabbed two and I like ran over to the side. One pound dumbbells. Have you ever
seen a one pound dumbbells? I have seen a one pound dumbbell actually. Never in my life.
Yeah, they're like, itty bitty. I was like. It's deceiving. No, right. And I was like one pound dumbbell.
I was like, I've never seen this in my life. I was like, I can put this up my ass. Girl, this thing is so
small. I probably have. And so like my, the instructor was like already on mic so she was already talking.
and she comes over and she brings me like eight pound dumbbells.
Like she was like, nice try, bitch.
Take these.
Like she was like, oh, she's like, okay, here you go.
And gave me the took my little ass weights.
I was like, damn.
So difficult, but so fun.
Had a blast.
At the end, I loved the instructor too.
She was wonderful.
She like turns the lights off.
Like we, again, I sweat through my fucking bra.
Which doesn't even happen to me when I go to the gym.
So like, even if I'm doing cardio at the gym, that doesn't happen.
So I was like, I was like, like real.
I was like so.
Yeah.
We're sitting down.
We're like cooling down doing the cool down thing.
And she was doing the playlist and everything too, which was killer.
And then when she's like, okay, let's like sit up and fold our legs, like sit up straight.
Let's take deep breaths.
Like reach up.
Bring into this pose, right?
Like into the namaste pose.
And she goes, and thank yourself for showing up today.
Bitch, I almost moved to tears.
No, you always are.
I literally felt like I woke.
I felt like I was like I fucking love you.
you ladies. You hear me? I just met these girls. I need that sort of like affirmation and like
that gets you go. Yeah, you're so real. I was like, because when I heard that, I was like,
gosh, you're so right. I did show up today. Like, it's so good. And like, especially with Spin,
like, we're tapping it back to kiss you by one direction. Like, yeah, I'm doing body rolls.
Like, you're doing whatever I want you to do and you're having a good time. We got to go to a group
class together. I would genuinely. I've never done spin. Oh, I'm so scared, but I would love to try.
go to a spin class. I will say sometimes when my spin classes were not like the way that these
girls are running at their sprinting out of the saddle in a way I've never seen legs move like that.
Well, bitch, like, what are you training for? I'm like, what do you? No, literally what are you training
for? Because they're like, this, this is this. I'm like, oh, okay. Like, I want to be hitting the beat
to like a, hello, literally to like a title song and like throwing my ass. That's the class.
Yeah, I want to be bouncing to 365 by Charlie XXXX. That's it.
What's going on here?
The crunch and a press.
Yeah.
Okay, so we did spin.
Yeah.
It says you worked for the travel company EF to recruit new host families.
Oh, so, okay.
So I did two things at EF.
One, I was recruiting host families for foreign students to come.
Stay with their family.
They were foreign students staying with host families in Canada.
Whoa.
And the fact that I was even.
facilitating that at 23 years old, did it feel correct. But I was talking to these people in Canada
and like trying to place students at their homes. Very interesting. That was on the off hours of work
actually because I was a hustler and I was doing a lot. But the actual drive at EF tours was I was
selling international trips to high school teachers to take their students abroad. So if there was a
French teacher and I specifically
to get evenisha was working
with Cincinnati Ohio.
So I'd call, I talked to this woman
I'd be like Donna, she's a French teacher
like Donna, your kids
are going to be obsessed with Paris.
She's like, I know they want to go to Paris.
I'm like, no, you don't understand.
And you need to go to the French Riviera as well.
She's freaking out. I'm like, yes, yes,
yes. And then I would just sell.
You're crazy bitch.
But you are a salesperson, bitch.
That is what you are.
I was talking about.
the Swiss Alps like I've been there.
I was like, you are good.
It's breathtaking.
You will just lose your mind.
You're looking at a picture.
Oh God, Donna, you can't even believe.
They would be like, they'd be like, I'm thinking about bringing my kids to Australia.
And I know in my head, I can't present that price.
It's too expensive.
Yeah.
So I'd say, you ever think about Belize?
She'd be like, no, why?
I'm like, so I know you want to go to Australia for the Great Barrier Reef, but they have
amazing coral reefs and Belize.
But I quote her half the price.
Done.
Like, I loved that job.
You're crazy.
Hey, I loved that job.
I was really.
But I think that's what's so magical about you is that you will bloom where you're planted,
girl.
Like, wherever you are, you are making the most of it.
That was the one job.
That was right before we started the podcast.
And I'll never forget.
I sent an email on the last day, like a wild person.
And I sent the email and I was like, it's time for me to chase.
my dreams.
And it's time for me.
Like I'm starting this podcast, whatever.
A year later, we performed to 700 people
in Boston and they all were there.
And I was like, I manifested that shit.
Because I felt it at that job.
They always made me like team morale.
You're like, Andrew.
Can you say something?
Can you like do a little swung and dance?
Like I was like a freaking puppet.
I was like, yeah, I'll do a little song and dance for everybody today.
And I was like always the entertainment.
And I was like, why am I doing this?
this company I could do it somewhere I could do it for myself period that's when I
decided I said we're doing this podcast yet you're so fucking tea I even when I was in um
when I was in college I wrote for my college newspaper for a while and I was like a sports
editor of my college newspaper for a while and I remember like everyone I obviously I've always
been who I am so I'm I love to tell stories I love to entertain I love to make people laugh and so
one time I went into the office that we had and one of my buddies who worked at the paper he was
older than me and he had taught me a lot of stuff but he was like I'm having the worst day and I was
like damn really and he goes yeah can you tell me a story to like make me laugh and that was remember
one of those times where I thought to myself I am hilarious and a delight and I can tell stories
wow I am wonderful and amazing yeah and I remember my college newspaper too that was around the time
when I was in college that it was like BuzzFeed was huge at the time and like the YouTube of it all was
huge and my college newspaper was trying to do like YouTube videos and they were like well no one
wants to be in them because a lot of people who write like don't want to be on camera like a lot of
journalists they don't really care for that so like they were like who should we ask let's ask
Drew because they knew I loved attention and they asked me and I remember the first one I ever did
was with one of my buddies who was really sweet and so smart but he was a complete opposite of me like
he was so like he he was like nerdy by his own admission he was like he was nerdy he was
He loved Dungeons and Dragies, like that kind of thing.
But he and I really got along.
And he, like, they paired us together to do the bean-boozled, like, jelly bean challenge.
That was the most insane video ever.
I remember being so disgusted at one point.
I, like, literally couldn't even go forward.
I was like, I'm not trying another one.
Sorry.
But I was, like, cracking jokes with him the whole time.
How many jelly beans were you eating?
We had to do, like, four or five.
I was like, hey, hey, hey, hey, I'm over.
I'm sick of it.
And, like, and I remember, like, we were riffing with each other and laughing and, like,
having so much fun that they just kept bringing me back to do shit.
Like they were like, okay, could you come back and do another one?
Yeah.
And that was around the time I felt the same way where I was like, you know what?
I'm me do it for myself.
You guys are so right.
Yeah.
I'm hilarious.
I need this push.
Thank you.
Now it's time for me to spread my wings.
Exactly.
I'm flying.
I sent the email.
Okay.
Last one.
It says you were in the Loyola student group, the Evergreens who welcome new students and
lead summer orientation.
You look at me and you say he was an orientation leader.
Oh, come on.
You get to campus.
I'm like,
Woo!
Let's go.
You're walking backwards.
Oh, yeah.
We were, so we, I was not only an orientation leader, but Evergreens.
I went to Loyola, Maryland in Baltimore.
And we had this program called Messina, I think.
And I was with like 15 students for the entire year.
And I was like their mentor, basically.
Oh, that's nice.
Which was actually really nice because I had like students coming out to me.
I was like the first resource for them to like feel comfortable, which was really, really nice.
And yeah, it was such a beautiful experience.
And I loved, loved being an orientation leader.
I was so classic of that.
And that's why also another show we can manifest here in this year.
Yes.
Overcompensating.
Yes.
Easy done next.
Because like I would genuinely just want to be an orientation.
Yeah.
Like that's it.
And I know that there's other people like Bowman was on it.
Yeah.
Obviously love Benny.
Yeah.
But yeah, seeing that too.
that was the closest I've ever felt to my actual gay journey as well.
That's what Dason said.
She said the same exact thing because we were all in college at the time.
Yep.
That he films that in that time.
It was not only like the time like hearing Gucci Gucci on a show.
I was like what do you mean I'm hearing that?
Like that was and I was that.
Like unfortunately like there are certain eras of my life like I was rapping grace on like every single.
Of course I was.
Look at me.
Of course I was.
I was.
I was a gay man in the 2010.
Right.
And like also his.
Also his like his I don't know like the falling in love with the guy that you think is gay but is actually not gay plot line is so gut wrenching but so integral to college especially for me for like my gay journey.
Hell yeah.
But yeah, that that was orientation into overcompensating.
I'm ready.
Give me a.
Season three because they just filmed season two.
Yeah, you let me know.
You let me know.
Well, and I think that's again so indicative of who you are is like being someone's first resource and being someone's first resource and
being a delight and a joy.
I once sent Caleb a meme.
I saw on Instagram that was like,
you ever look at someone and you could just tell they were really involved on campus?
And that is you.
I'm getting the same energy from you.
It was like orientation leader to a acapella,
the student government to like Spanish club to ukulele.
I did everything.
You did that.
That's so,
I love that about you.
You were so involved on campus.
Yep.
I think that's a beautiful thing.
Thank you.
I love that.
And I would love to know if you have any advice for any aspiring entertainers.
Like I said, I do have, I am going to suck your dick a little bit after you answer this question
because I do have something I want to say, but about you and how much I love you.
But I do think that you have, obviously, good children has been wonderful and amazing,
and you have such a strong presence online and in comedy.
But you are someone who is like pursuing so many different forms of entertainment.
And you are someone who keeps going, like no matter what, no matter through every season,
every change. Do you have any advice for any aspiring entertainer? I would say to your point,
it is one about being authentically yourself and just allowing yourself to not, to like,
I don't know, rid yourself of shame in certain ways because I have the ability to do so many
different things because I want to do that for myself. And that might not be the same trajectory
as like, oh, you're just doing acting, stay and acting. I'm doing food. I'm doing fitness. I do whatever
makes me happy because that is who I am.
So I would say staying authentically, authentic to yourself.
And also I think in this game or like entertainment or the creator space, it's like you
have to allow yourself the space to fail.
And it's and you cannot allow yourself to feel like a flop in that because I have also like
with the podcast and then even trying to make my own content.
Like I was a finance major.
I never saw this for myself.
and now I'm still learning as I go.
And there are so many times where I'm like, God, like, I wish, as my nudist
it sounds, I'm like, I wish I had more followers.
I wish, like, my video hit more.
Like, I feel like a flop.
But that is the one reason why you would stop.
But I don't let myself stop because I'm like the one day something happens or the right
person sees me or whatever.
Right.
That's my day.
So that's my advice is like keep going, be yourself.
and hopefully it will all fall into place.
And it will, especially for you.
I know that to be true.
And this is where I suck your dig just a little bit.
Please.
But I do think you are a delight and I think you're a joy.
And like I said, I think you bloom where you're planted.
And that is so rare.
Like it's rare to see someone who sees the beauty and the love in every phase of life
and at every new beginning, at every new journey.
And I'm so happy for you and I'm so proud of you.
And I can't wait.
I am going to plug you into.
wherever the fuck you go.
If you're, you, you know what?
You sucked up to the right person as me, bitch.
There you go.
There you go.
Actually, I have a guy for that.
That's the thing.
Put me in any situation.
I'll make it work.
No, and you are like genuinely such a talent.
Like I really do think you are so fucking funny
and you have such a unique perspective
and that is what this world needs.
Like the world of comedy, the world of entertainment,
it needs uniqueness and it needs authenticity like you were saying.
And I think you have all of that in space, girl.
And on top of that you have the best,
brightest attitude.
I love that about you.
Thank you.
It's really hard to find people who are genuinely just so happy like you.
And I think that's wonderful.
I appreciate that.
And I think you're wonderful.
And you and I are going to make out on heated rivalry together.
Literally.
They're going to put me in drag for heated rivalry.
We're going to be in the heat too.
Yeah, you and I, buddy comedy.
Please.
Buddy cop comedy.
I love that for us.
Honestly, I saw this, I'll end the show with this.
I saw this funny, or a deadline article that Chris Fleming posted, that he, him and
arena shake got cast
in a rom-com.
And I was thinking to myself, the two of you?
Yeah, like, what?
Oh my God, I was like, I have to go see it.
And then I saw they were both cast as the best friends.
And I was like, oh, I got edged when I read it.
But then I was thinking, me and Andrew.
We're going to be the best friends.
People wouldn't expect it, but it also could be like I end up coming out.
It's gay.
And you're arena shake and I'm Chris Fleming.
There's a hundred percent.
I love that.
I love it.
Well, thank you so much for coming back.
Thank you for having me.
I fucking love you too.
You're now a three Pete, just like Eric.
so make you tell them to eat it.
