Starting point is 00:00:00 50-50 if my zippers up or down anymore. Take my pants off at home. They come off easy. I'm like, I thought was four hours I was walking around. Netflix is a joke presents. Nate Bar Gatsy, Big Dumb Eyes World Tour, a special live taping at Into a Dome. I think it's because I'm peeing so much longer.
Starting point is 00:00:18 I watch young people come and go. I'm like, tell my family I'm okay. Nate Bargatsy, May 9th and 10, live at Into A Dome. Get tickets at Netflix at Jokefest.com. All right. Hey, you're on yellow jackets, right? Just want to make sure. Okay, cool. Yeah. Just want to make sure. Okay. I am. I am. But that's not me. Somebody else. Oh, that's actually so real. I know. You're such, you're a thespian at heart. I know. Well, okay. I need to really calm down. Okay. Okay. I need anything. Yep. I'm just going to have some water for a second. Okay. Okay. And I have weed if you need it.
Starting point is 00:00:53 I can. If you think this is bad. Oh my God. Literally. Oh, my God. No one time I smoked. And this is okay. You can add this. One time I, oh no, I didn't smoke. I had an edible. And I remember looking in the mirror. And I was like, I thought it was laughing and having a great time. And I looked in the mirror and I'm sobbing. And I'm like, am I crying? My ex was there.
Starting point is 00:01:12 Well, jump scare. Maybe that's why you were crying. No, no, for sure. It was. And he was like, you've been crying for two hours. And I was like, oh my God. He's like, I got to go. I was like, no.
Starting point is 00:01:21 Oh, and he thought, I'm going to leave. Yeah, no, and he did. And I was like, so you gave me the chocolate and then you said. Right, right, right. Yeah. And the story turns tragic really fast. Oh my God. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:31 I would never do that to you. Oh, thank you. I would never leave you in your moment of need. I, oh, my God. That's like the nicest thing I've heard in so long. Thank you. If you smoke weed, you turn into your character from Yellow Jack. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:01:41 I get really hungry really quick. Start looking at everybody. Hey, everyone, and welcome back to another episode of the comment section show. Sorry, me, your favorite. Everybody knows me. Ah, who cares about me? I do. On to the guest.
Starting point is 00:02:00 Thank you. On to the amazing guest, the iconic, the talented, the legendary. Samantha Hanratty. Woo! Oh, my gosh. Honored to have you, Queen. Honored to be here. We were just laughing
Starting point is 00:02:11 because you were getting real nervous. Yes, I get very nervous before things. And your main character in yellow jackets. Got it. Yes, but that's Misty. Like, you know, Samantha is like, you know. Misty's like, ah. Two different.
Starting point is 00:02:26 Yeah, exactly. Yeah, two different vibes. But you actually have been in the game for a very long time. You've been a working actress for a minute. Yeah. And I'm very fulfilled. familiar with your lore. I do have some fun facts about you, but which we will get to. But before that, I'd love for you to tell us how you got into acting and how you got into just the entertainment
Starting point is 00:02:43 industry as a whole. Yeah. So I love attention. Um, even though I'm nervous about it, I love attention. So I think that was really like the main thing. Yeah. I was two and was like, mom, I want to be on stage and TV. And she was like, I didn't even know you could talk. Like I was so she was like, what? And she was like, no. I'm the youngest to five girls. So like, I think, I think, needed the attention. I needed it. Yeah. And so, yeah. And then I just kept asking and asking like every day. I was like, that's going to be me. I want to be on stage and TV. I'd watch Shirley Temple and I'd make my mom curl my hair and I'd sing animal crackers in my soup and you know, I just loved it. And so finally when I turned six, she was like, we'll give you a shot. And if it doesn't pan out, like I don't want to hear about it again. And so she gave me my one shot and sent my picture into like L.A. or like some sort of like little agency thing. And they called back and we're like, we want to meet.
Starting point is 00:03:39 We took our little car and it was like, we lived in San Bernardino at the time. So we like took that drive. And I group with very little. Like so like the gas to get to LA was like, we were in the negatives. That's why your mom was like, make it count. Yeah, exactly.
Starting point is 00:03:56 And I did. I was like, oh, thank God. Thank God. I somehow did. And they were like, great. You've got six runway shows lined up and auditioned for a commercial. up and audition for a commercial. I booked the commercial and it ended up running for like four years. So like what was the commercial? Oil of Olae. And I like was like skipping. I mean like what
Starting point is 00:04:12 I was like six. So like it wasn't for me. I was like dancing with like my mom and like my fake mom. And I cried when I we wrapped. She was like I'm not really your mom. And I was like, that's a mom. I was like it was so nice meeting you. I like looked at the crew. I was like it was like it was lovely working with everyone. Like they're like okay. You were cut two hours ago. Literally. Literally. I couldn't get me out of there. I was like covered an oil of a late.
Starting point is 00:04:39 I know. It was so good. It was so good. It was like my mom kept trying to get me to quit. And like every time I just was like, no, I wanted it so bad. Yeah. Yeah. Now I'm just afraid for you probably.
Starting point is 00:04:50 Totally. Because show business is so horrifying. Terrifying. Yeah. Exactly. And she was just, you know, I was like a really fun, like happy kid. And I think she just was like. She's afraid.
Starting point is 00:04:59 Yeah. I am too. I'm like, there's no way my kid's doing it. And now I'm like, well, hypocritical, but, you know, like, I get it. I get it. It's scary, you know? And so she's still to this day, like, are you sure you still want to do this? I'm like, yes.
Starting point is 00:05:12 She said any day. We can leave. Yes, Ellen, I'm doing it. I'm still here. So, but she's, no, she's the best. I love that, though. What was your first, like, would you say acting gig where you felt like, oh, this is for real?
Starting point is 00:05:24 Like, I'm for real doing this. Um, I feel like one of my first movies was a movie called Desperation. It was a Stephen King film. I know, and it was like scary. I did a lot of like horror films in the beginning of my career. That and Disney. So it's like, you know,
Starting point is 00:05:40 well-rounded. We love that. Truly, truly. Yeah. And I like, my character got thrown down the stairs and I was like a ghost and like, she died down the stairs. And yeah,
Starting point is 00:05:49 it was like very scary. And I saw like my own little dead body and I was like, this is crazy. And I think that it was like, okay, yeah, I'm like really doing this, you know.
Starting point is 00:05:58 Oh my gosh, that's so cool. Yeah. They asked me to jump rope in it and I didn't know how to. so that was embarrassing because I had to get a stunt coordinator to teach me how to jump rope. Did you go to like theater school or anything? No. I've never done like a play.
Starting point is 00:06:13 I've never done any theater, which sounds so scary. But I think I need to because it sounds so scary. But I don't know. Well, clearly you have a natural talent. I think that's awesome though. You just kind of jumped in. Yeah. And you've been doing well.
Starting point is 00:06:25 Thank you. That's so awesome. Well, tell me about yellow jackets. I would love to know like how that came about and how the process was. Yeah, I'd worked on Showtime prior because I did Shameless. Yes. So I was like, I already love Showtime. So I read the script.
Starting point is 00:06:38 I auditioned for Natalie originally, which is like Sophie Thatcher is literally perfection. So it's kind of, it's really embarrassing to say that I auditioned for her part. But I went in and they were like, no. Yeah, that was kind of the feedback was like, no, but we'll keep her in mind for maybe like a guest star. And I was like, I'll take it. I wanted to be a part of the show. It was so cool. Like this pilot was so good.
Starting point is 00:07:01 And then they told me about Misty and I was like, I know nothing about this chick, but she seems really crazy and fun. And so, yeah, I auditioned for Misty. And then they called me back again for Misty, called me back again for Misty. At this point, I'm like, do you hate me or do you love? I'm so confused. Like, it was, I was, yeah. We've been just hazing you.
Starting point is 00:07:21 I kind of felt it. Like, and it was like so many notes. And I would leave. And I finally, like, I've never done this before. But I left. And I called my mom. I started crying. I was like, I want this so bad and I feel like I'm just not giving them what they want.
Starting point is 00:07:33 And I was like, I feel like they like they like they just don't know what to do with me. And I went and I turned back around. She was like, get back in there and ask them what they want. And so I did. And I like was like, I don't want to be weird. But like, can you just can we do it again and like do it? Like I want to give you everything. And I want this part.
Starting point is 00:07:50 And so yeah, it just. Look at you. I was kind of like a boss in that moment. You're like nervous. You just walk back in there. I'm sweating right now like profusely. like the afterbirth like you know i i've been sweating a lot i don't know if that's what you know yeah like i just yeah but um but yeah and then they called me back again for misty and natalie so i actually
Starting point is 00:08:11 did both again and then they were like um you're on hold for misty and they were like they're looking at christina ritchie and at that point i'm like was hyper analyzing like our photos like can we you know are they going to be able to see enough of us together and i feel pretty confident yeah you guys look a lot. It works. I mean, it translates really well. It's, it's really crazy because I didn't think it in the beginning. But like the second that we both got like in our mystique here, I was like, oh, yeah, this is great. This is great. You're a few. Yeah. Hoohoo. Yeah. It worked. No, that's so great. I remember the first time we met, was that, was that season two or three? Yes, two of. Two of only murders. Yeah. And I was like, I love you. Yeah. And you're like, thank you. I was like, that's so nice to meet you. And then I
Starting point is 00:08:59 I asked what you did. Yeah. And you were like, oh, I'm an actor. And I'm actually in, and then we were like, oh, are you in anything? Because Yellow Jackets is about to premiere. It was about to premiere. Like, I'm so awkward at that stuff. Like, I'm not like the type to be like, oh, yeah, like, I'm, you know, what I'm like.
Starting point is 00:09:11 Well, that's because you're sweet and so humble. That's what that is. But I was, I'm laughing because you were like, oh, it's, it's a new show. It's called Yellow Jackets. And then me and my sister were like, you mean those big ass fucking billboards all over L.A. Is that yellow jackets? Yeah, that's me. And you're like, yeah, it comes out soon.
Starting point is 00:09:28 And I was like, yeah, I would hope so. I assume I'm seeing it everywhere. Oh, got it, got it, got it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And look how far we've come. I know. Look at you. I know.
Starting point is 00:09:40 You're still terrifying people on that show. Thank you. My sister told me that was the scariest thing she had ever seen when she saw you on there. Oh, my God. She was like, I was so scared. Honestly, so many people say that to me before this show. They're afraid of me. They're like, scariest thing I've ever seen in my life.
Starting point is 00:09:53 Thank you. That's so great. She's so fun. How is your experience been? working on nail jackets. Does it differ from anything else you've done? Oh yeah totally I mean this whole show has been so crazy first like it just this is my first like series regular like I've been I've been like a guest in people's houses but I've never like like been the owner of the house or like you know like lived in the house and so that's been really cool and so fun to be able to build a character like this
Starting point is 00:10:19 and and then like wearing the wig and wearing contacts and glasses and these different clothes like I feel like I'm just fully in a new character and yeah you like turn into her. Yeah, and it's so fun. It's so fun. So yeah, I just, I love it. I have so much fun with it. And I love getting into her mindset and seeing where the writers are taking her. And yeah, I just like, she's kind of like a dream for me. And so, yeah, I just, I have so much fun. And I mean, it's been hard too. Like, you know, season one was right after the pandemic. And so that was weird. Like we weren't allowed to see anybody or be around anyone except for each other. And, you know, yeah. And, you know, season one was. And, you know, Yeah, that's, that's hard. You're building different bonds. Yeah. We really were like a team out there where it's like we have each other's backs, but also like, I'm sure they were looking at me like, girls, stop crying.
Starting point is 00:11:09 Like every day, I'm like, this is really hard. Got an antidepressants while I was filming. Oh, shit. No, no, no. Like I was like, not well. And they were like, you need to get it together. Like, right. We do need to finish the show though.
Starting point is 00:11:21 So let's go see someone. I was like, fair enough, fair enough. That's nice that they love you that much. Yeah. They're doing good care of you. Yeah. Yeah. And you have to.
Starting point is 00:11:30 You have to take care of yourself. And now that we're, you know, three seasons in, it's like, that's it. There's a part of me that's like, it's been almost six years. I've known these people. We've only done three seasons. That's crazy. Am I not done? Yeah, I know.
Starting point is 00:11:42 But also, like, I want to keep it. Yeah, obviously. I want to make sure that we don't like overshare the story, but like share it perfectly. So, like, I think I'm praying for like at least like two more seasons would be great for me. I think that's so awesome. And I believe in that for you. I also. Do you have like a dream role?
Starting point is 00:11:59 Honestly, like, Misty was one of them. Like, I always loved playing like a complicated, dangerous woman. Yeah. And somebody that, like, you don't know when they're kind of going to snap. Yeah. Like, growing up, it was always like, I wanted to be like Harley Quinn and Joker's daughter. You know, like, I don't know if they have a kid, but I wanted to be it, you know? Like, I just wanted that.
Starting point is 00:12:19 Yeah. And now that I'm getting older, I kind of have, like, a trajectory of where I'd love to see my career go, which is like I'd love to do comedy television, lighthearted, fun, like, just really fun. And then do like the A24 dark film that like I can have fun. You're a real like opposite ends of the spectrum. I want that. I want to be, you know, like. I see that for you.
Starting point is 00:12:43 Thank you. Because it translates, I would say. I want to like Margo Robbie Sorceronin like where they can just. That's awesome. I want when people see me on TV or film, they don't see like Samantha. They see, you know. You can blend into any genre. genre. Yeah. Yeah. So that's fucking sick. Do you have like a dream show like comedy television?
Starting point is 00:13:00 Oh my gosh. I mean like I loved new girl. I loved new girls. Yeah. And I just think something like that the idea of filming something like that would just be so fun. I think so too. Like just having a good time. I've got a couple of things that I've written that I'm like how cool. I was going to ask you about writing. I like I feel like most of the really successful actors I know like yourself are always writing. Yeah. And I never believed in myself that I could do that. And then my best friend. and I were like, let's write a show. Like, let's write a pilot. And we did like all of it.
Starting point is 00:13:30 And we like, the way that we just are so proud of ourselves for just doing that part. Because I have these ideas, but I'm so bad at getting things on paper. Yeah. And then finally, like, finding a format and getting it down, I was like, I can do that. You feel accomplished. Yeah. Absolutely. That's fucking awesome.
Starting point is 00:13:47 Yeah. I'm like one that talks myself down very quickly. Like I'm like, oh, but that's for somebody who's like smart or like this or that. And now I'm finally kind of like, or. this dummy could do it too. Or you're gorgeous and talented and earn all, like have earned all the things that you have. Yes, that is also. Speaking of gorgeous and talented, not to pivot, but kind of, you recently had a baby.
Starting point is 00:14:07 Oh. You did. Tell me about your baby. He's literally perfect. Yes, he is. I've seen many pictures of him. Yeah. Love.
Starting point is 00:14:13 He's gorgeous and just funny and he giggles at me. And like, when he first made eye contact, I was like, like, you see me. Like, for a while there. I was like, who, like, you know, like they, you know, and their heads are. Yeah. Yeah, it's giving newborn kitten into thing. It's scary. It's a little scary.
Starting point is 00:14:28 And then he made eye contact and I was like, oh, my God. He's like registering you. Oh, that's so sweet. And like, the giggles and the smiles. And I'm like, oh, like, my God. Like, I just, oh, my gosh. And, you know, he's had two surgeries so far. He's three months old.
Starting point is 00:14:43 He's, like, resilient as can be. He's so strong. Like, we were at Children's Hospital yesterday, actually, because there's some other things coming up right now. And it's so funny because I'm like, I never want to be back here again. And I hate, like, I hate this place. And yesterday I was like, what the, this is, oh, my God, I'm so grateful for this place. Like, I know I'm tired of being here, but also, like, what a special amazing place that, like,
Starting point is 00:15:07 I'm, like, walking in these halls of these people that are literally lifesavers. And it's just, like, we're so great. I'm so grateful for, like, our surgeon is amazing and, like, our team's amazing. And everybody is just obsessed with my son. And, you know, like, they're just, it's amazing. Yeah, there's a world on which. both can be true. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:25 You can be really frustrated with circumstance and having to be there, but also be really grateful that you have access to things that can help you. Yeah. Yeah. But you're like, you were working and pregnant. Right. Yeah. How was that?
Starting point is 00:15:37 Horrible. Superwoman, first of all. It was awful. Yeah, I bet. Like, I really thought I was going to like, be like, oh, yeah, like, I'm pregnant and glowing and, like, doing amazing. And I was literally vomiting the entire season. I was just, we'd be, like, eating people.
Starting point is 00:15:52 And then I'd be like, you know, I'm like, I just. I'm like so sorry. Girl, give me one sec. Yeah, so sorry. No, but like it was just terrible. It was awful. I had like all of the things like, you know, I had the fainting. I fainted on set.
Starting point is 00:16:05 I had to go to the ER while dressed up as Misty like with my wig on. And that was embarrassing. You have blood on your mouth. You're like, this, don't ignore it. Yeah. Oh, the way that like they kept like trying to get like my blood work and like wiping the dirt off. And they're like, it's still dirty. And like they just kept doing it.
Starting point is 00:16:22 I'm like, I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I'm like I swear it's not dirt But like my wig was half off when I came in And like I was of course like freaking out Because I was like is he okay? Like am I okay? And so I'm crying with my wig half off
Starting point is 00:16:33 They're wheeling me in And I'm like this is just like There was a moment when I looked around That I was like this is a little nuts Hey I'm being crazy Yeah yeah hey hey Like I had to giggle And then I went back in too
Starting point is 00:16:45 I was like I literally was like mom take a picture And then I was like okay now I get it You're like I'm losing my mind But I'm having a blast Yeah yeah yeah It was great. It was great. That's why I said, I was telling you beforehand, you are strong. So women can do anything.
Starting point is 00:17:00 I don't. What the fuck. I multiplied. Like, I literally, like, I made, like. You were creating life and eating people at the same time. It's a night, duality. Duality woman, for real. No, I think, what's your, what's been the most exciting part about being a mom?
Starting point is 00:17:14 Oh, I mean, I just, I mean, we were talking about this earlier, but when I look at him, I just, I, ha, it's so surreal. like that I made that and that he's like he's just amazing yeah like living and breathing yes and like I I keep asking my mom I'm like is this am I gonna forever feel this and she's like kind of yeah like there's just moments where you're like whoa yeah like I did that like wait till he calls you mom for the first time and I'm like oh yeah he starts formulating thoughts yes yes and just like the power of like the strength of like that I could do that like I yeah the birth was wild. Like my husband had one leg. My mom had the other. And I just pushed that thing out of me. And I lifted. I did that like. Oh, you lifted it yourself. Oh, my God. I literally. I mean, it was
Starting point is 00:18:06 crazy. And an acrobat. Clearly. I mean, I didn't know. I was flexible. I could. To be fair, I couldn't feel any of it. So like when I gained the feeling back. Thank God. Epidurl. Shout out. Shouts out. I loved it. It was amazing. It was amazing. I was like, I mean, honestly, they tell you, you forget a lot of this stuff and I did and then I keep getting flashes of like oh yeah my mom was like yeah you threw up like the whole time you were pushing and I was like oh right I did and she was like and you were listening to music and I was like oh yeah that was fun and like yeah and honestly the team hyped me up they were like we've never seen anybody push like this you're so good I'm like really they're like oh the way you're pushing your butt down yes and I'm like okay yeah you're thriving off the affirmation I was what else am I
Starting point is 00:18:49 doing that's awesome yeah they were like only an hour and a half mom you I did it an hour a half. Like that was a fast labor. I can't look at you because I'm like, right? My mom's over here. My mom, yeah. Yes, right? An hour and a half.
Starting point is 00:19:00 Like, that's not bad. That's fast as hell. I know. Why do I take that? Like I did. No, that's great. That's awesome. It was.
Starting point is 00:19:07 That's so wonderful. It was. And you're a super, super person in general, I would say. Thank you. Especially delivering like on your own and doing all, like being able to do all of that and then go back to work. I know. I know. Unbelievable.
Starting point is 00:19:21 When I stood up for the first time after, I was like, oh my God, baby steps, you know? But like, yeah. Putting my diaper on for myself, like the first time, I was so proud of myself. Dipered up. Have to be. Yeah, it was amazing. What was the most shocking part of pregnancy to you? Like one that you weren't expecting?
Starting point is 00:19:39 Just the, well, I really thought I was going to look like amazing. And I don't know why. I really thought I was going to be one of those girls. You said how awful I looked, honestly. The amount of times I was by the toilet. and I just really, I mean, I threw up the entire time. And I lost weight in the first trimester, which was like, because of all the throwing up.
Starting point is 00:19:58 Yes, and just being sick. I couldn't eat. And, oh, yeah, the fooded versions. Like, I was so excited for the cravings. I was like, oh, I'm going to be a pickle queen. Like, I'm going to. And then I saw a pickle and I was like, oh, like, I couldn't. And I love pickles, but like not then.
Starting point is 00:20:12 Was there anything you latched on to, like a constant that didn't make you feel sick? No. Did you have hypermises? I don't even know what that is, but I don't think so. knowing a lot, me knowing a lot about pregnancy. Yeah. No, I was like, I, I don't know. That's when you just throw up the whole time.
Starting point is 00:20:27 Oh, yeah, I don't know. But like, I think maybe I don't know. They finally got me a medication for it and finally like helped. But my mom was literally with me every day being like, I know you can't do this right now, but you have to eat this. Like she would literally be like shoving food down in my throat and be like, you have to drink this protein shake. Like you have to.
Starting point is 00:20:46 Yeah. Yeah. But the only thing that really got me through was every single night I ate a caramel apple and that was the only thing that got me through it. You said all I got to do is get to that caramel apple. That's all I need. Yeah. Yeah. And I'm pretty sure there was things I was allergic to in there but I didn't care. I was like I was like I was like I was like I was sustaining you. I had to. Yeah. Yeah. That's crazy. Every day. Sometimes twice a day. But yeah, that carmel apple. And then sometimes men think that they're superior. Oh. It's crazy to me. Tell me about it. I once I once told a guy that
Starting point is 00:21:16 like when you're on your period, sometimes you get diarrhea. Like it's very frequent. honestly it's far more frequent than the cramps you never know which which is which right you don't know if it's diarrhea or if it's just cramps yes and i told them and he was like what yeah like he was just blown away how how are you shocked by that though because like it's always when they get diarrhea they call out for a week you don't need they use pto when they get diarrhea yeah i can't when i get it i'm just i pull over at the cvs get back in my car go back to work yes are you kidding i love doing it at a restaurant because like you know like they're a little bit more clean that's true yes sometimes i have a hard time. Yeah. But you know, like when you got to go, you got to go. You do. Oh my gosh. It's so true.
Starting point is 00:21:56 One of my first times taking pre-workout, like powdered pre-workout. The first and last time, mind you. Yeah. I took that. I for some reason thought I was a bodybuilder that day. I didn't work out. I wasn't working out regularly at the time. I was like a nine to five. I was working at the NFL actually. At the time. You are so cool. Well, I got fired. You're like, okay. Okay. Okay. That's a spoil the ending for you. Can you just say like, I got my pre-workout when I was an NFL? Like that sounds so cool. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:21 I took it. I thought I could take the same as my, my fiancee. I can't. Yeah. He's way bigger than me. And I took it and the way, because all I had had that morning was like coffee. Yeah. The way that I immediately had to go to the restroom.
Starting point is 00:22:36 I was in the bathroom for so long that my fiancee text me and was like, are you okay? I didn't even work out. No. I took that, walked inside, felt like I was going to ship myself, went to the bathroom for 40 minutes then went home. Oh my God. Well, honestly, you had a workout. You did. You were holding on for your life. Like, yes, you sweat. I'm sure. I'm sure. Like you did. You know, I'm sure. I'm sure. You know, I'm sure. What if I compared that to your labor? Honestly, no, no, no, no. I'm going to be so for real. I have had bowel movements that have been
Starting point is 00:23:06 worse than my labor for sure. Like, for sure, for sure. Because there's no epidural for that. Okay. Like, I can't. I have. My mom told me certain things are like worse. Like she had a feeling what was it you told me was worse than childbirth? Kidney Stone. Oh, I bet. Yeah, my mom had a kidney stone. My mom was like, that was worse than all three of my kids combined. And my brother was 10 pounds. My mom's going to kill me for like talking about this because like she's always telling me, do not talk about them publicly. But like, I have the roids. I have, I do have the hemorrhoids. And I've had it for years, okay? And it's just a battle. Okay. And it's and I. That's just something you suffer from? Or that could you're a baby? Oh, no. I before. before. Oh, well,
Starting point is 00:23:47 before him. Listen, I've had IBS my whole life. Like, I've had, I've had, like, you know, they were saying like,
Starting point is 00:23:53 yes, look, the most beautiful people have tummy problems. They say, they say it. That's true. They're sending themselves.
Starting point is 00:23:58 Trust me. You know? And so, and it's, I'm like, you know, I try not to share too much publicly,
Starting point is 00:24:03 but like, in my private life, I share to everyone. And so like, and everyone, you know, it's he, ha ha,
Starting point is 00:24:10 until I'm in the midst of it. And I'm like, and it always happens before a big event. I don't know why that sucker pops on out and is like, hey, remember? It's to humble me, I guess. Man, you just pop a roid right before. Got a hemie.
Starting point is 00:24:23 Literally. And I'm like in heels, you know, like, I walk funny. It's not because I'm walking from the heels. It's because I'm like suffering, you know? And like, what was a question? I don't even know if there was a question. I literally. I genuinely don't remember.
Starting point is 00:24:39 I don't know how we got here. But. That's so. See, stars. they're just like us. They're just like us. I pop my hemorrhoids just like everybody else. I really, you know?
Starting point is 00:24:49 You know what? You're one of Godstrongest soldiers because hemorrhoids, I think I've only ever had one when I was like a kid. Because I'm a big toilet sitter. Obviously, based off my content, you can tell you. But I'm a big toilet sitter. I'm shocked you don't get more then. Oh, yeah, I know.
Starting point is 00:25:04 My mom tells me that all the time. Trust me. When I tell you, my mom will text me when she sees I filmed one on the toilet and she'll text me and tell me you need to stop sitting on there for so long. She still does that to me to this day. to this day. I'm going to be 30 this year. Yeah. Me too. Wait, when are you 30? September 18th. Did we not talk about this? No. When's your birthday?
Starting point is 00:25:21 Oh my God, we're two days apart. When's your birthday? September 20th. Oh my God. Look at us. My burger queen. I knew it. Oh my God. And we're so close to the Libra. Yes. Yes. Yes, I know. I'm very well aware. I make everybody know that I'm a Virgo. Yes. Oh my gosh. Wow. I love this two days apart. Yes. Look at us. Dirty 30. I know I'm excited are you excited I'm so excited I've been always looking forward to 30 me too 30 30 flirty and thriving I agree 13 going on 30 right like was the thing that got me excited shout out Jennifer Garner I'm supposed to be at poise magazine right now yeah I'm supposed to be like I got a blast Bruce Springsteen yes please get into it I know I know you know what's so funny I've been telling
Starting point is 00:26:02 people because when I tell people I'm 29 they're like oh are you nervous about turning 30 you're like getting older I'm like honestly no I and you're a Virgo so you get this I've always been older Yes. Like mentally I've been a 90 year old man in my head forever. In like a 12 year old body. Like I still look like a 12 year old boy most the time. And so it's very weird. But no, for sure.
Starting point is 00:26:21 Yeah. And also, you know, starting work at six years old, you kind of like have to become an adult in a lot of ways. You grow up really fast. They like expect you to be an adult but also treat you like a child. It's very weird. And they still do it because I play 16, you know, or 17. So crazy. And so, yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:37 I think I'm excited because I was telling, I've told people like, I'm excited because it's like a new era. Yes. Because someone asked me, what do you, what do you must have said about for turning 30? And I go telling older 30 year olds, I'm 30. Yes. Yeah, I'm like one of you. Like I'm 20.
Starting point is 00:26:53 I'm 30. I know. I'm 30. Yeah, no, I already feel like my 20s are so young. Me too. I don't know who that girl was. I agree. Please don't ever listen to anything I ever said back then.
Starting point is 00:27:04 This is a new decade, a new chapter. I am embarking into it. No, I honestly, like, the stress of your 20s sucks. It's crazy. And I feel like your 30s, you're just like, oh, you know what? Whatever happens happens. Yeah, exactly. You're at peace with you are who you are.
Starting point is 00:27:19 Right. You know, you're like at that point where you're like, I'm constantly evolving and all that. But like your 20s, you feel like, I need to get it together. I need to be this. I need to be that. Like panic. Yes, I thought I was going to be married and have kids by the time I was 18.
Starting point is 00:27:32 I really thought that. I like, when I was turned 18 and I wasn't married, I was like the disappointment. You're like, I'm so far behind everybody. I'm disgusting. I look back at my goals and I was like, fail, fail, fail, motorcycle's license, never did it. I disappoint myself, you know? And now I'm like, no, I'm so happy with where I'm at.
Starting point is 00:27:52 Right, I agree. I bet you agree with this too. Like when younger people ask you for advice, I'm sure you get people asking for acting advice all the time. Like people, when people ask me for like advice about being a dick hell online, whenever they ask me about shit like that, I always sell them like, well, I'm like, well, how old are you? Because I say like, oh, I feel so behind.
Starting point is 00:28:09 I feel so lost. I feel like everybody has everything together except me. And I'm like, how old are you? And they're like, 21. I'm like, oh, God, you have so much time. So much. I was still an alcoholic then. Like, you got this.
Starting point is 00:28:20 Like, you know what I mean? Like, you're fine. Yes. Yeah, absolutely. We're all on our different journey. Absolutely. But 21, honestly, I'm like, even 27. I'm like, that was two years ago and still feels like a totally.
Starting point is 00:28:31 That's so real. Like so long ago. Yeah. And I was even telling people, I'm like, I kind of wish I skipped 29 and just went straight to 30. Yeah. Because 29. Right. I'm like, I'm ready.
Starting point is 00:28:41 But also at the same time, I like think to myself, I'm like, it feels like I'm holding on to my 20s. Yes. When I say I'm 29, they're like, you want to be 20 so bad. I don't. I want to be 30. Yeah. I want to be 30. You're like, I actually don't.
Starting point is 00:28:53 I'm so over the second. I identify as 30 right now. So that's what I am right now. Yeah. I agree. I started telling people, I'm like, I'm in my 30s. I'm not yet. Yes.
Starting point is 00:29:01 But I started saying that. Yes. And that's fair. And that's my excuse for everything because I'm like, we're mentally older. Yes. So anytime like, for example, for example, Who was it recently? They asked me to do something. Oh. And they said something. Yeah, they invited me to something and they were saying like, oh, we're all going to meet up at like nine o'clock. I was like,
Starting point is 00:29:20 Drew's not coming. No. Nine o'clock? Yeah. Yeah. Are you out of your mom? Yeah. We should be getting dinner at six. I'm home by nine 30. Yes. Supper. That's what we're supposed. I want to start doing supper. Like there's no dinner anymore. Early dinner. I'm looking at a 6 p.m. special. Yes. Like old people have that shit on lock. I've figured it out. Yeah. You know what I mean? I feel like that's why I'm like getting older, I'm like, it's just aligning more with me mentally, like my grumpiness. I went to bed at 5 o'clock yesterday. But to be fair, then woke up at like 2 a.m. to watch the baby, you know, but, but, you know, like, it's, my sleep is so beautiful. I love my sleep. Me too. Yeah, maybe more than my baby right now. Okay. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:30:00 It depends on whether or not he sleeps. I know. I know. Honestly, though, I love sleep. I told me, I was on my phone with my best friend and I was like, I really want to hibernate for just like a couple of days. Yeah. Just, oh, that sounds so good. So nice. Like a miniature coma. You know?
Starting point is 00:30:16 Just a taste. Yes. Like in a moose, boosh. Oh, it would be so nice, you know. Oh, it just sounds so good. It sounds, yeah, relaxing. Yeah, I kind of want to, like, go underground and like, bury myself a little, you know, die maybe for a second, but then.
Starting point is 00:30:32 Come back. Emerge. Yes, as 30. You know. When you turn 30, exactly. I think that's perfect. I even, like, the. other day when I filmed it last week, I had pediolite in my mug. And my guest was like, oh,
Starting point is 00:30:45 what are you drinking? You're hung over? Yeah, they asked me too. They were like, oh, were you hung over? I'm like, no, I'd just be doing that because I'm old. You just love the hydration. In the morning, I was like, electrolytes first. Thank you. Yeah, it's glowing. It's beautiful. Yeah. I'm like, I'm like, electriclights first. I've actually put a lot of my friends on that. I'm like, because especially with, you know, too, like the scheduling is so insane. Like your schedule changes and your your sleep patterns are so off. Yeah. And so I told my friends, I'm like, I started drinking pediolite like pretty regularly not too much but like enough to supplement my lack of sleep also the way it's saved me i'm a hundred i'm a hundred that's so smart and i'm going to cocella next
Starting point is 00:31:20 week and i don't know how you're going i yeah oh no i i'm in my 30s no you're too old for that i am too old for that shit do you have allergies yes i do okay because that's the last time i went i was like i just can't do that again because like i sneezed oh i'm never doing that I sneezed the whole time. I was sneezing. And then I took Claritin D. And you know what? There's nothing like me high on Claritin D.
Starting point is 00:31:47 I am confused. I feel lost. I feel like. So you really are an old person then. Well, I can't do anything. You're lost in the mall. Like since I've been sober, I just can't do anything. Because like I literally, I'm like, I'm like, oh, my dad's like what.
Starting point is 00:32:00 I'm like, I took Claritin D. He's like the suit of bed. I'm like, yeah. I'm just, I'm not well. You said I'm high off the perks. Can you hold the baby? I'm not feeling well. I'm not.
Starting point is 00:32:09 feeling well. Like I drink a kombucha and I was like, ooh, I think I'm drunk. I feel good. It's fermented. I don't know. I feel buzzed and I don't like it. Like I, oh, my body just sometimes even Advil will make me feel a little something. I don't know. It's crazy. It's a lot. Maybe it's an artist's brain that you have. Maybe I'm just sensitive. I don't know. Maybe there's something broken, but you know. Yeah, no, I am too old for Coachella, you're right. And I will be there and I'll be complaining the whole time. But you're going to have fun. You know what? Have fun. I think so. Yeah. And I'm a very like, nah, I'm good. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:43 Right? Like I remember the last moment it was like two years ago. Yeah. And I was dying by day two, obviously. Of course. And then. It's not healthy. No, not at all.
Starting point is 00:32:51 Nothing about going there is healthy. No. It's always fun. The boogies are like all like, yeah. Oh my God. And it's so hot and you're drunk or, oh, it's so terrible. You're so me. We're both two old women.
Starting point is 00:33:03 I know. This is why we need to hang out. Right. Yeah. We can gray gardens together. Please. Yes. Yes.
Starting point is 00:33:08 We could just grow old in the house all just the two of us in the baby. Like a little like village. Yeah. And like, you know, like, oh, one person. I'll crochet. Do you crochet? No, I've never crocheted. Okay.
Starting point is 00:33:17 So you're going to need to come. I do a little crochet circle. Ooh, I love that. And I teach my people who don't know how to crochet to crochet. Next thing you know, you're going to be wearing cat ears on your show all the time because you're going to be like, I made this. They're embarrassing. We're so fucking old.
Starting point is 00:33:29 Yeah. Sometimes I'd be sitting there like during my thing and I'm like, I'm like, oh, what time is it? Like, like, you know, I'm like, separated. Your readers on the very end of your nose. Yes. Yes. I just started reading. I've never read before.
Starting point is 00:33:43 And now I'm like, oh, this is a one of the chapter. Oh, girl, God himself couldn't separate me from my Kindle. Really? God himself couldn't pray that thing for my hands. Have you always been a reader? No, honestly, no. I, I. It's just at your 30s.
Starting point is 00:33:54 Yeah, just again, us picking up new hobbies. Yes. Because, you know, I'm like, well, I'm not going out. Yeah. So I'm going to read. Yeah. No, I started reading my, well, I got a Kindle because I, wrote my book and then I didn't write. I didn't like want to read any feminist theory at all because I didn't want
Starting point is 00:34:10 anything to imprint on my brain. So I didn't read anything for like two years. And then I so much dedication. Yeah. And that was just purely so I didn't like take anything that wasn't mine. And I have a photographic memory. So I'm like I'll think things and I'm like I know I didn't write that. I just don't know where I got it from. And sometimes I'll just Google it. And then if it doesn't show up anything, I'm like, okay, then that's my thought. But sometimes I just remember things. Yeah. No, I'm so stupid. Like I'll start singing something and I'll be like, did I just write a song? And meanwhile, it's like, here comes the sun. I'm like, am I a genius?
Starting point is 00:34:42 Like, girls just want to have fun. Yeah, I know. I'm like, you should, you should take that. Yeah, that's a great. Yeah. One time when I was really high, I for some reason, thought that I came up with the movie, The Martian. Oh my gosh.
Starting point is 00:34:53 Starring Matt Damon. Oh, yeah, with the potatoes? Yeah. Yes. You see how I can't answer because I've never seen that movie. Oh. I was watching Interstellar. And I was like, Matt Damon in space movie.
Starting point is 00:35:06 That's what my brain's registering. Like when I'm high, like, that's how it registers thoughts. Matt Damon, space movie. Yeah. And then I go, space movie Matt Damon poster. Like, that's how I was thinking my head. And I was like, because I know the poster of the Martian. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:17 And it's the orange and he's in the helmet. Uh-huh. Yeah. That's all I know about the Martian. Nothing else. And then I was thinking, wow, I wonder if anyone has made space movie starring Matt Damon. And it was called the Martian. That's, I'm having these thoughts in my head.
Starting point is 00:35:30 Oh. And I'm like, you're like, I am genius. Yeah, yeah. Literally like, I'm thinking, I'm the next Steven Spielberg. Yes. As I'm sitting there and I'm thinking it. And then there's like a trailer for the movie happening right in front of you. You're like, yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:43 I'm watching him on TV in an interstellar, a different space movie. And then my fiance goes, I think he was in The Martian, too. Mind you, all the thoughts I've been having are all in my head. Yeah. So when he said that to me, I go, how did you know that? And he goes, no what? I go, the Martian, who told you that? Me thinking that he's reading my mind.
Starting point is 00:36:02 Oh my God. You're like, we're so connected. Oh, my God. You're right here. You're right here. Yes, you get me. You understand me. Yeah. Oh, my gosh. And I'm thinking, I'm like, um, TM. Yeah. That's my IP. I just came up with that in my brain. And then when I'm telling you, he goes, the movie the Martian. Like, he's explaining it to me. Like, he's explaining it to me. And then I go, right. Yeah. Yeah. For a second there, I thought I came up with the Martian. No worries. No worries. But this is why do you have to do that to you. Right. When you were having a great moment. Took my dream. Yes. That was your dream. He crushed it. Right then and there. Oh my gosh. I know.
Starting point is 00:36:36 You're right. I'll fight about it when I get home. Oh, good, good, good. Yeah. I'm glad I had that moment to do that with you. Perfect clarity. Wait, I have some fun facts about you actually. Oh my gosh.
Starting point is 00:36:45 Let's see if I know them. I would love. Okay. This might be shocking. Okay. Well, the first one says you just had your first baby, which we already talked about not a secret, but a fun fact. What?
Starting point is 00:36:55 Who told you that? What? I thought I came up with that. This one says one of your earliest acting credits is playing British orphan in an episode of Drake and Josh. Yes, I guess it was. British orphan. Yes, my lines were,
Starting point is 00:37:07 Potomisa. I have, it's dying British orphan, mind you. Potomisa, I have only three weeks to live. May I please cut in front of you, every minute counts. And then he lets me go in front of him. And I'm like, you're very kind. Yep. Do you remember the episode?
Starting point is 00:37:23 Yes. Is that the one where he goes on the roller coaster? No, so they realized they knew each other when they were eight years old. Oh. And they're like a Padres game. Yeah. Like, yeah, it was, yeah. So I played two characters.
Starting point is 00:37:33 I also played, like, hot, cute girl coming up and being like, hey, can I kind in front of you? And they're like, sure. And I'm like, thanks. And then, like, I take the last foam finger and then. And then you played sad British orphan? Yeah. Two retellings of the story.
Starting point is 00:37:48 You run back there and they do a quick costume change. Literally. No, I really thought I was the shit, though. When I played cute girl, I literally came out and I was like, like, I felt so cute. How old were you? like eight oh perfect timing oh yeah I was the it girl
Starting point is 00:38:04 oh I would eight ate that shit up when I was a kid oh my god it was so fun and being in those little oh my gosh it was just so cute that's so fun and then the dying finish orphan
Starting point is 00:38:12 they like threw dirt at me I was like get out there and I was like every role you got dirt on you yeah all your roles dirt seems to be involved it's it is
Starting point is 00:38:23 it's actually happened one time well I was at an audition I was auditioning for like an American girl movie not the one I did because I was an American girl doll, but like it was a different one. Yeah. And I totally forget which one it was.
Starting point is 00:38:34 But like she was supposed to be like, like dirty. And my mom literally before going in, she was like, you want this right? And I was like, yeah, she grabbed dirt from the side of the road. I don't even know where she got it. Like grabbed it from the side of the building. It was like, and I was like, I had like allergies. So I'm like, she said, this is what the greats do. She was like, you're ready.
Starting point is 00:38:56 And I did not get it. Hey, mom, they said I had shit on my face. So that's why I didn't get the roll. They were like, sorry, you have a little, little, a little smudge. They're like, this poor dirty girl came in here. Yeah, I know. Red for the roll. I really need this part.
Starting point is 00:39:14 Then you do your Drake and Josh lines. They're like, oh, to me. I only have minutes. They're like, what the fuck? I only have three weeks to. They're like, well, then you won't be alive for the shoot. Exactly. You're all, well, I might.
Starting point is 00:39:28 heal if you give you the role. I know. Who knows so? I can't. Okay, this one says that you also appeared on episodes of so many iconic TV series including Sweet Life of Zach and Cody are I Carly, that's so Raven, Mad Men and Vampire Diaries. Yeah. Okay. Just to name a few. Just to name a few. Got to go down the list. Sweet Life of Zach and Cody first. Yeah. Obviously. Yeah. How was that experience? Oh my God. The best. I like, I was just talking about this recently. So like before I ever, you know, had my first kiss. I had a dream one time about having my first kiss. And I remember waking up and being like, I did it. Like I had my first kiss in my dream. And that was with Cole Spouse. And so then finding out that I booked the show, I was like, oh my God, like, will he know? Like,
Starting point is 00:40:13 does he know that I dreamt about that? And now he does because I just said it. But, you know, and I was just, oh my God, I was so nervous. And then I was in a predicament because then filming the show, I then started to feel things for Dylan instead of Cole. And then matters of the heart it was insane it was insane but the cool thing was talk about a love triangle right but usually so when you got guests are especially like on on like Disney or Nick they have a bunch of different storylines and then you're like a part of one of those storylines yeah whereas my first episode of Sweet Life I was like the only like kid guest star and it was like about me and my dad coming to the hotel and like being con artists
Starting point is 00:40:50 yeah and so it was like me and the boys the whole time and it was the best time of my life Can I just say that sounds like if, because we're the same age. Yeah. When I was that age, that would have rocked my world. Like it literally. I would have been like, I am living the dream. I went home every night and was like, my life will never get better. Like I have hit my peak at like 10 years old.
Starting point is 00:41:15 Like, you know, I was like. Just like you're not paying bills. Yes. And you're hanging out with two cute boys. Oh. Oh. Yeah. No, but I was so awkward too because I remember like, Dylan was like, you know, like,
Starting point is 00:41:24 oh, what great are you in? And I was like, are you talking? Are you talking to me? And it was just me and him and Cole. And he was like, well, I'm not talking to him because like, literally his twin. Yeah. Yeah. Like, and my twin to be like, we're in the same grade.
Starting point is 00:41:37 And I was like, oh, right. I was like third. I don't know, like third grade or something. And I just, I just was obsessed. And he was like, do you want to go play, I don't know, some like tag game? Like, when I go outside and play tag? And I was like, uh-huh. And I literally was like, I'm it.
Starting point is 00:41:50 I'm going to catch you. I'm going to get you. Like chasing him. Like, you're like the most nervous child. alive. I'm like, I'm still sweating just thinking about it. I can't stop sweating. And I just slow motion in my head like,
Starting point is 00:42:04 he still had that floppy blonde hair at the time and like, I'm picturing a sweater vest and that flame up button down. That bitch loved a Tommy Bahama. Yes, yes. Tommy Bahama hated to see Zach coming. Yes. Yes. So, oh my God, they killed me. And you know what, Ashley was just like the best too. Like she was just the sweet. And she like,
Starting point is 00:42:25 I remember like it was like, my last day of filming. I was devastated. It was my last day of filming. She's like, girl, get my number. Mind you. I had a flip phone. Because I just turned 10, double digits. I was allowed to get a flip phone. And I was like, flipped it open. I was like, here you go. And I remember I texted her one time. And I was like, how are you? But it was so hard to type. You know, never text me back. But that's okay. It's beside the point. And I just was like so in with them. And like, I just felt so accomplished. And I remember. I truly feel like I'm reliving high school. days with you. Yes. I feel like I'm so there with you right now. I feel like I was the best. I feel like I was the best. You were. You were. Did you watch
Starting point is 00:43:03 you? You were. Yes. Of course I did. I was balls deep in that show. I loved that show. I loved it. I loved it. And then I and I remember you from the show. Well, I was like really brave as a kid. Like I don't know who she was. Like I wish I was still like that confident because I remember I was auditioning for something else on the same lot. And I was like, oh, well, I'm going to go see the writers. Yeah. Because why not? So I'd like just walk like my mom and I just like walking over to the writer's room like they're like bitch you were fired like you you had your one episode once again you've been cut yeah like we said a rap and you know and so i was like hey guys they're like sam hey you know and i'm like so when do i come back and they were like you know what we will bring you back and they brought me back for like six more episodes you better work bitch you better
Starting point is 00:43:47 I really did that they said they said dress for the job you want yes and I said here I am you know and it was so great it was so great and it was crazy because we filmed like four episodes in one week because brenda song was filming wendy woo homecoming warrior another classic i know and then and then ashley was doing high school musical two at the time oh god they were just booked and busy oh it's all my favorite things combined it was so are you kidding like i was like it was so cool i never really i only worked with brenda for like a day like we only and the first time that i filmed she also wasn't there so i really didn't get to work with her much but i was such i like london tippedon like fan like london tippedon like london
Starting point is 00:44:25 I loved her, you know, the Pindle, like everything. Yeah. So it was. The whole cast was. They were just the best. And it was the best time. And I'm just, I can't believe I got to be a part of it. That's so fucking cool.
Starting point is 00:44:37 I'm like, you're so fucking awesome. I've never been. No, no, no. I have never been cooler than I was at 10. Like how dudes talk about like, like when dudes meet other guys who were like played professional sports 20 years ago. Yeah. They're like, you're so fucking awesome, bro.
Starting point is 00:44:52 Yeah. That's what car dude? That's sick. No, seriously. I'm like, so Dylan. You worked with Ashy Tisdil Dog, that's fucking awesome. Yes. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:59 Was it 20 years ago? Yes, it was. But, you know, literally almost 20 years ago. That's crazy. Dude, also, I Carly. Yeah. Oh, I Carly. Am I okay?
Starting point is 00:45:08 Yeah. Yes, I Carly. What was I Carly? It was so fun. I honestly became like, so I had known Nathan prior to it. So I was like, hey, you know, I knew some of them. And like, I'd work with. Yeah, I know.
Starting point is 00:45:21 Damn. I know. She knows everyone. I know. So, like. Kind of as a kid, I did. Like, and I like, it was so crazy because like my high school, because I was homeschooled, was the kids, the people grew up watching on TV, you know?
Starting point is 00:45:35 So like, but it was cool, but also like, I wish I didn't know half the things I did because I was like, I like, I know you too well, you know, to enjoy you now. Yeah, yeah. But Nathan really is wonderful. And then Jeanette and I just really clicked. Like, I just like fell in love with her. I just thought she was the bees' knees. Like she's just a really cool.
Starting point is 00:45:55 good person. And so we really connected. We became really good friends when we were kids. And I wasn't just like such a small part. And it's so crazy when people are like, oh, like, you're the girl that was like, it's lame daddy. And I'm like, oh yeah, that was my one line. Like thank you so much for remembering. But like they replayed these episodes. Yeah. You remember because they remember. Yeah. Because they keep repeating it. Yeah. That's kind of like Emily Radikowski. Like playing, she played Ghibi's girlfriend. Right. Yes. And that's like. Icon. Yeah. Yes.
Starting point is 00:46:26 Vanessa. That's so funny. I'm pretty sure Vanessa, good. So, okay, so Stella. So when I worked on Sweet Life, Ashley was like, what school do you go to?
Starting point is 00:46:35 Because I was like kind of doing this like weird actors kids school thing. Very strange. It was like you go for three hours and then the rest of your day is just homework. Okay. And so it was for kids who like had like busy schedules. Right. And so it was really lame, honestly. Weird.
Starting point is 00:46:50 Like the teachers were weird. One like was like a drug dealer. It was strange. Like, you know, there's a lot to it. We'll talk about it another time. But she was like, my besties, little sister is looking to go to a school. So then that's how I met Stella Hudgens and then Vanessa Hudgens. And so Vanessa was in a random episode of Drake and Josh.
Starting point is 00:47:09 And I was like, saw a clip of it. And I was like, what? Like, were we all just like in these random shows. They were swapping all of you out. We really were. Round robbing you guys. Yeah. And on here, what else is to say, That's a Raven?
Starting point is 00:47:21 That was a good time. That was, what were you on That's a Raven? I was a sunshine. girl. And so it was like Girl Scouts. So do you remember when Raven was like she had like a little like sister like she was like being a big sister kind of thing to Sydney. And so I was like in this like little sunshine group and I was like a germaphobe who was afraid of everything and like had like rashes. Like my mom's like rubbing more things on me. She's like, you're going to butt this one sweet. We got to give you a rash. They said rash. She's like we got to get this one. I have to ask about
Starting point is 00:47:51 vampire diaries. Okay. The one before that was Madman. How was Mad Men? It's terrifying. One of the scariest sets I've ever been on. Really? Yeah, just really intimidating. I bet. I was going to say.
Starting point is 00:48:01 A lot of heavy hitters on that show. Yeah. And it was one of those, though, like, were like John Ham, like came over and was like, John, nice to meet you. And I was like, oh, yeah, I know. How do you do, John Hamm? How do you do?
Starting point is 00:48:11 But no, it was just really intimidating. And my first time smoking cigarettes. And I was like, like, you know, like trying to like be somebody who knows how they're to do it, but like held my hand really straight. Yeah, not good. And then, like, like, like, like, trying to like, like I kept saying like didn't and they were like it's did not like they were very specific about like you couldn't add live words like it was buried by the book and then when I showed up they were like
Starting point is 00:48:33 very intense about like the hair they were like nobody had layers back then so you need to have a blunt cut and I was like okay and they're like so we're cutting your hair and I was like okay like I don't care you know whatever I didn't really care you're a true actor yeah I also just hair has never been something I really cared too much about and so I was like sure and they did it and but they were like LoCkey really, like, I mean, sorry. If you're that hair person, you were kind of rude. Like, she was like, she was like, you could be fired in an instant. And like, if you don't like let me cut your hair, they're going to fire you.
Starting point is 00:49:04 And I was like, I'm literally not arguing with you. Like you, like, I'm in the chair. I'm like, I'm cutting it myself at this point. Like I'm like, just doing it. You're wasting time telling me this. I've agreed to the blunt cut. It's fine. I'm here for it.
Starting point is 00:49:16 And she's like, you'll be done. You'll be out of this town. You'll never work another day. I was like, it's okay. Like, you can cut it. You know? So I just felt like it was one of those shows where they were like very like letting you know you're replaceable. And I was like, I'm here for like two days.
Starting point is 00:49:29 It's okay. Like, you know. Relax. It's fine. Yeah. But that's okay. That's good though. I feel like it's really awesome that you're so aware and also very like, okay, I've done this before.
Starting point is 00:49:41 It's fine. I think that's great though because that's you advocating for yourself in a lot of ways. Well, and I also am one of those people that's like I got hired for my job because I'm good at my job. You got hired for your job because you're good at your job. So like I entrust what you're saying. Like if I really think like, whoa, I don't need to shave my head for this one guest star. You know what I mean? Like I don't need to do that.
Starting point is 00:49:59 But if I'm like, that makes sense for the character. Sure. Yeah. Why not? Like you're, that's great, you know? Like, don't even try to fight me. Don't. Don't touch me.
Starting point is 00:50:10 I'm not. Yeah. Although I was, I did a job once and I was wearing a wig. Fine, I'll say it. Okay, it was yellow jackets. And they were like, it was for the pilot. it. And the girl was like, she's like, I think I just need to cut off your dead ends because you've got really bad dead ends. And I was like, okay. Thank you. My feelings for her, thank you.
Starting point is 00:50:31 Yeah, I actually thought my hair looked good. She, like, gave me a bob. Like, I went from, like, long hair to, like, Bob. And I was like, she said just a little off the top. Yes. And then she goes, she goes, did you want bangs? And I was like, I'm trying to grow them out. I look at the mirror.
Starting point is 00:50:43 They're like, super short. I was like, she got my bangs. And I was like, oh. Hey, I'd be mad. Yeah, and then she was like, and then I was like, so just to clarify, I'm wearing a wig in the show, right? And she's like, right. And I was like, yeah, I was just practicing.
Starting point is 00:50:56 She literally was like, she was like, you're welcome. I was like, okay. But she goes, yeah, I don't even work here. I'm actually not sure. Honestly, I would have been surprised, would not have been surprised. I was really shocked. It was okay. It's so many because I was talking about you advocating for yourself and you said,
Starting point is 00:51:13 gave me a new hairdo. I was like, oh. And meanwhile, I said thank you. Like, I did. I left with a smile on my face. I'm wearing a wig though. She goes, yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:23 I was like, okay. No, I'm not. I'm working on it. I'm working on it. You are. me was better at advocating for myself. I'm working on it again. I think you're doing a great job. You're doing the best job you can do. Oh, and then vampire areas. So is the other one. Right. And I would love if you could tell me your character. I'll tell you if I remember. Okay. Season eight.
Starting point is 00:51:42 Right. I'm trying to remember what happened to season. I'm random. I'm random. I just kind of came up there. So there, um, there's a girl who's like mind controlling Sip Sibyl. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. The name rings about. Yes. Yes. And like she was like mind controlling me and like a bunch of other people this is when like I'm so bad at their names so it's Paul in real life so Stefan Stefan yeah Stefan kills me twice he like is like he like turns me into a vampire right right which wasn't very nice you know because did not call for that and then um when I was like sucking blood he was like you've turned into a monster because he was working for this like I haven't watched the show okay he's working for another guy he's working for the devil I think or Cade Cade Cade Clause I don't know
Starting point is 00:52:27 Klaus isn't it is K. Okay, this is the seasons I stopped watching. Okay, I can tell you why. No, but I do know Stefan. I do know the mind control thing. Okay. And I do know Sybil. Like, I do know of it.
Starting point is 00:52:36 Okay, okay. Yeah. I was just there. They like, they were like, you're here. You're going to die. And then you're going to die again. And I was, you know, I wasn't there for a long time, but I was there for a good time. You're all.
Starting point is 00:52:45 I haven't watched the show. That's so funny. But it was so sweet because, oh my God, I'm, I'm terrible. Yeah. Damon. Yeah. Ian Summerholder. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:56 Wonderful. he was directing my first episode. Oh, that's cool. Yeah, and that was super cool because I was like on a cruise. And so I got a call from my team. They're like, they want you for vampire diaries. And I was like, ooh, I'm like in the Caribbean. Like I'm like, I'm on a cruise ship right now.
Starting point is 00:53:12 And they're like, Ian wants you off that cruise. And when they said that, I was like, oh, okay. And so I found. That's cool. Yeah, I love that. They ported on the cruise thing. And I was like, okay, bye. Like, it was so lovely.
Starting point is 00:53:24 Damn, Tom, Torneeds me. Yeah, literally. Yeah. And so it was. great it was so fun oh i loved that show yeah it was a good time balls deep in that show yeah until oh they cut off the love interests that i wanted because obviously it's it's a real you zach and cody situation oh okay okay with elena and stephen and what the fuck is his name damon yes um once there was an episode i watched i remember i was in college i was a freshman in college and i watched where
Starting point is 00:53:49 they officially like pretty much officially kill off any possibility of elena and stephen ending up together Oh. Like they just basically erase all of it entirely. And then they're looking at each other and they're in front of the fireplace. And then they go, we'll always be friends, right? And he goes, of course. When I tell you I close my laptop, never watch that show again. No.
Starting point is 00:54:08 Fuck this show. No. I was so pissed off. I was so. Well, you dedicated so much time. Oh, God. I was so mad. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:15 I said, you got to be fucking kidding. That was me with the Walking Dead. Really? Yeah. Not at all with love or anything, but with them killing off a character that I I was like, I can't. I can't. Yeah, I can't.
Starting point is 00:54:29 I actually, I, oh, I, I had a breakdown. And then I was like, no. I literally can't watch this anymore. Yeah. Yeah, that's how I felt about sons of anarchy. It's scary, though, because on the flip side, like, I'm on the other side of it. And I'm on a show where everybody dies. And like, so when I see people get super mad, I'm like, but don't leave.
Starting point is 00:54:47 Because like, like, you signed up for this, right? Yeah. You're going to stay. I want a hypocrite to my core. Yeah. No, I know. I know, because I'm the first one to be like, oh, they did that. okay well now I'm never watching meanwhile like our show I'm like um yeah give us grace okay
Starting point is 00:55:00 like we all make mistakes here give me a minute yes we have to let it cook it will balance yes exactly we haunt we haunt each other it's okay that's why I was on uh when I watched breaking bad oh see okay I'm just starting don't tell me because I won't tell you anything and I'm even wearing like oh wow this is a breaking bad inspired shirt oh okay okay but it would look like I'm a huge fan. I'm not. Okay. I started watching it. Yeah, I started watching breaking bad. I really liked it. But then I started getting to a point where I was like, I can't get any worse than that. Yeah. There's no way it could get worse than that. And then, yeah, and then they find a way to make it worse. Yeah. I felt like I had to start smoking cigarettes watching that show. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That's how I felt
Starting point is 00:55:44 about American Horror Story. Oh, yeah. I was like, uh, bad dreams. Like I, you know. Same. I had to stop watching that show. I did too. It was giving me nightmares too. Yeah. It was sit in my brain too long. Hotel was the last one I watched. I'm not gonna like like there's things I can watch but like then there's things that like I feel like I already know what you're talking about it makes it like certain assaults I can't get into it and I can't I'm like I can't like there's something like yeah it makes me really uncomfy and like yes yes yes yeah yeah think about it for days yes yes yeah yeah it's funny too because my sister watches everything like and anything but she like she'll tell me like if it has something in it that she knows will make me sick and I can't watch.
Starting point is 00:56:28 Yeah. So like when Euphoria first came out, I was like, I need you to vet it for me because I can't. And how? And she was like, I wouldn't watch this one, but you can watch these ones. And I was like, but then I was like, I feel so out of the loop on jokes. Right. FOMO is so real with it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:56:44 And then so she would just give me like 30 second like little synopsis of each episode. Yeah. I feel like I've watched enough TikTok of the show to know that I'm like, okay, right. You, you, you, you, Sydney, Sweeney are really good and you were dressed up and, and they thought you could be in that play, but you weren't in that play. And then you had a breakdown, but then, like, was it real? Was it not? And you were looking in the mirror and you're such a pretty cryer.
Starting point is 00:57:07 And that's pretty much it. I think so. I think so. I think so. I know. I've said that too with, like, TikTok. Sometimes I'm like, sometimes I'll tell people, yeah, I've seen that movie. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:17 I haven't. Yeah. I've only seen a few TikToks and I feel like I got the gist. Okay. Be so for real. Have you watched Yellow Jacket? I've only watched one episode Oh my God
Starting point is 00:57:26 Oh my God Okay I've watched one Which one? Was it the pilot? Okay okay Well you gotta at least get to second episode Because that's a good one for me I got spooked Yeah I get it
Starting point is 00:57:34 And you know what? That's fair I think my show is kind of like drugs And it's not for everyone And you can't take too much at once And we need to be in the right mental space To do it You know
Starting point is 00:57:44 But if I can watch the last of us I can watch yellow jackets You know what I mean You know? Yeah Well we can watch it together one day I'll sit there I'll hold your hand
Starting point is 00:57:52 through it and at least if you get through the second episode because it's just a really good one for me and that's all I care about that's literally all I care about actually a great that's a great pull for me yeah that will draw me yeah it's like you're like you're like you're like what you do that and then you're gonna be like what you do that and then you're gonna be like oh my god I will tell you my sister's watched all of it she's currently up to date but she was yeah she's completely up to date she's like she'll tell me she goes oh can I please tell you about yellow jackets. Yeah. And I'm like, yeah, that's fine. Because I don't mind if people spoil things for me because I'll still watch them. That's how I am too. Look at us. I'm like, I kind of love
Starting point is 00:58:30 when they get to spoil little. Me too. Yeah. Yeah. I also feel like that's an invaluable friend. Yeah. Like I told like one of her friends was like, who's going to read the new Hunger Games book with me in our group chat. We have a book club group chat where we never read. And that's how we started. Never finished. And I was like, I think Carrie will carries right here. I was like, I think Carrie will read with you. She goes, oh, you bet your ass. I'm going to read that. Like, they both love The Hunger Games. I was like, those books don't really call to me anymore. But I said, but I'll let you spoil it for me. Yeah. And she was like, that's perfect. Yeah. Because she was like, like, what's to tell me about it. Yeah. Yeah. Like the movie The Substance,
Starting point is 00:59:01 she was like, when that first came out, my friend, same friend, she was like, can I spoil it for you? And I was like, yeah. Yeah. So she told me the whole plot. Yeah. So when I went to the Oscars and people asked me if I'd seen it, I said yes. Yes. Because you said you have a photogenic memory. Yes. Okay. So basically you did. Because somebody told you, you got to mentally see it. Right. Exactly. Yeah, exactly. Same thing. You know what's funny too is I, when the new gladiator came out, I was like telling my dad,
Starting point is 00:59:30 I was like, we should go see it. And he goes, have you seen the first gladiator? He knows the answer to that question. He asked me and I go, no, of course not. And then he goes, we got to watch the first one. And then you will watch the same. I said, for what? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:41 I was like, I feel like I got the gist. Well, I watched S&L. Man fight. Yeah, I watched S&L and they did like, you know, a clip of it or whatever. They mocked it. guess and that was enough for me that's pretty much i saw yeah i saw their little outfits and i was and at the same time my sister was trying to tell me convinced me to go see sonic three with her and i was like i like the head not i was like i haven't seen the other two dude and then she goes
Starting point is 01:00:05 i bet you didn't need to well she goes here's the plot of every new sonic movie yeah new sonic yeah that's it yep right and then i was laughing and i go no dude i got to watch the other two and then we were laughing about because i go i was literally just saying hey fuck the first gladi gladiator i'm supposed the new one but it was sonic i'm like well i need to understand understand the lore yeah of course of course yeah the character development i'm gonna miss it all what what did jim carry have to do with this one like is he okay is he in it like are we you know yeah you get it love it yeah let me see we have more fun facts for you okay this one is your first lead role was playing chissa in one of the american girl movies which you did mention you weren't an american okay that was like lead lead lead
Starting point is 01:00:42 i have i i i had led in stuff prior to that am i that was a good one yeah what the fuck um okay Should we not talk about this one? I'm leaving. No, let's be real, though. This is the only important one, okay? Like, it's true. It's true. And it was pretty sick.
Starting point is 01:00:59 I mean, I was my, I was a doll. Like, I literally had my own doll. I like, I was like, you know, the whole Barbie thing? Like, this Barbie does it. That's, Crissa was one of those. She was like, she literally, like, she swam. She was on the swim team. So like they like, they like, I mean, I knew how to swim.
Starting point is 01:01:16 It wasn't like the jump rope thing. But like, you know, I knew how to swim. But like, I mean, they were. were like freestyle and butterfly and like I learned all that I learned how to dive like all that stuff. What do you know Michael Phyllis? No literally she actually is. Yeah I know she's like the anchor of their like swim team you know and then like and then my dad makes pottery so like I like make pottery and like like she's so deep so deep so I had to go learn how to make pottery and then they were like okay you got to meet the animals and I was like what and they're like oh yeah she owns llamas and I was like right
Starting point is 01:01:44 so she's like a llama llama tamer too you know and so like I'm like got the llama and then what else happened? Like so much happened that like I got to do so many fun things with her. She's a man of many hats apparently. She really is. I'm very proud of her. You know, she's and she stood up to bullying.
Starting point is 01:02:02 And then. Yeah. No, honestly, you'd actually love the movie. You would, okay, but that would be fun.
Starting point is 01:02:07 The American Girl movie. She'd get high and watch that. Oh, yeah. Please, actually. I would get high to watch you in Yellow Jackets first. Okay. And then from a pallet cleanser.
Starting point is 01:02:14 That will freak you out. That will freak you out. The palate cleanser, I'll watch American Girl. Okay. Okay. Right. That honestly,
Starting point is 01:02:19 yeah no that's fair that's fair but that it was so cool like i got to go travel the like the world i got to go travel america and like go talk to kids about bullying um which is like kind of hilarious because like i didn't go to school so like i'm over here i'm over here like yeah like go like talk to a teacher and like you're going to be good you're going to be okay meanwhile like never had to deal with it myself like get out there i said i said find somebody you trust be an upstander not a bystander These were like, these were my cue cards. Like I literally, and they were like, but weren't you in Sweet Life and playing a bully? And I was like, right, that was a character.
Starting point is 01:02:55 That's acting. You don't want to be like me. And you didn't know anything about that. Yeah. You start bullying them. Because you're a loser. You're a loser who's not on TV. Exactly.
Starting point is 01:03:06 I have a microphone and you don't. And you don't. Sit down. Shut up. They raise their hand. Put your hand down. Jessica. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:03:15 No, I, I, it was. It was a great time, but also I felt so hypocritical because I didn't know. And the second I got bullied, like, face-to-face, because I got like cyber-bullied all the time, you know. People were like, hey, bubblehead. Like, I've always had a big head. Like, you know, it's okay. Salmon Hand Faddy was like what people called me growing up. Like, you know.
Starting point is 01:03:32 Don't know. You're all, their names were Zach and Cody. But other than that. Yeah. Yeah. I had so much fun on that show. I showed up. They were like, hey, hand, fatty. I'm like, so funny.
Starting point is 01:03:44 Can you imagine. You get badging by the Sprouse. Wait. Um, yes, yes, I can't match. I can't. That's such a fun rumor to story. Someone get Dumois on the phone. Stacked.
Starting point is 01:03:55 Oh my God. That's so funny. But no, it was, um, it was so funny. I was ice skating one day, though, and I had a choker on. Um, and I, like, had my hair slick back in a little ponytail, and I was just ice skating, you know? And these kids just skated up to me and were like, I hope your choker chokes you and you die. And I was like, oh. And oh my God.
Starting point is 01:04:12 It killed me actually. And then they, they, they, then came back around. And they were like, we're like, hey, you. You look like a man. And the only thing I could do was go, well, and I never cursed as a kid ever. And I go, well, my dick is bigger than yours. And they literally like, oh my gosh, it was the best comeback I've ever come up with. But also like the way that they were like, you admitted it.
Starting point is 01:04:32 Like, oh. And I was like, these were boys? Yes. Of course they were. And hitting you with a drive-by insult on ice skates. And they were so fast. They were so fast. Hey, read the room.
Starting point is 01:04:43 Their hair's like whipping in the wind. You're going to, you're going to triple accent. away from me after you do that shit to me? Literally, they were like doing it backwards. Yeah. They're doing a little toe, a toe heel thing. What the fuck? I can't.
Starting point is 01:04:57 Hey, girls, go on yourself. Why you make me mean to me on skates? Literally. You can't even let me get off my skates. Literally. I know, I called my mom. She picked me up. Like I, like, I was, oh, I was, and I didn't go back ice skating for so long after that.
Starting point is 01:05:09 Like, it was a passion too. Like, I wish I was there. Oh, me too. Because I, yeah. I would have pushed those boys to the ground. I'll be real. I would put my hands. on them that's me yeah yeah i love it i love it i've got a question were you have you always been
Starting point is 01:05:22 tall yes yeah i was five four when i was 10 no yeah i was not nuts i was like i was like four eight when i was no i was five four i was tall as tall as my mom when i was 10 wow yeah because my dad is six six wow oh my mom's five amazing my dad is like five one i like i'm literally i feel like i see eye to eye with that man like you know and that's saying something because i'm wearing my you know yeah and your Teeny tiny. And I, yeah, I'm 5'1. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:05:50 And so no matter how, like, I try to be like, no, you know, I'm still like this, you know? Yeah. Yeah. But I will say, it's fun when somebody is mean and you're so short and you're looking up with their nose hairs and you're just like, really? Yeah. Oh, yeah. You have boogers in your house.
Starting point is 01:06:06 Yeah. It's embarrassing. In fact, let me just. No, for real. It's funny. Because when we were, how old were you when that happened to, the ice skating thing? Oh, it was after I did. So I must, like 13 probably.
Starting point is 01:06:19 Yeah. That's like a prime age too. Oh, yeah. No, and I was horrible at standing up for myself. Like, I still am. I'm really good at standing up for friends. Yeah. But I'm really bad at standing.
Starting point is 01:06:28 Isn't that always the case? Yes, yes. Like the second I'm, I mean, even with like online shit, like usually I'm like, doesn't bother me. Doesn't bother me. And then I'll see stuff and I'm like, they're so right. Like, no, they're so right. The way I like cower.
Starting point is 01:06:40 And I, you know. Get behind me, Sam. I know. Get behind me, girl. I'll take care of it. I'm not going to lie. I'm one of those people that like, I really like almost try to justify what they're saying. I'm like, they're so, like, you know what?
Starting point is 01:06:50 I've got to look inward. Like, what? You're an empath at heart. I know. But you know what? Some things are fair. I'm like, you know what? Call me out when I do something shitty because, you know, that's fair.
Starting point is 01:07:00 Yeah. But then when you're like, you know, the whole like my head's big. I know. I know. I'm so close to falling over every time. You know? We get it. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:07:09 Come up with something else, you know, and I know they will. And I know they will. Well, I wish I was there to defend you. you from bullies on ice skates is great getting bullied on ice skates no honestly when you like put the picture and it is really funny the triple axle really got me like that was really funny well my point being like that's why i said like when i was a kid kids like you were like my favorite people to defend oh because it used to kill me saying because you're like you're so pathetic i would just no honestly it's what really genuinely it's because you always remind me of my sister my sister's the same
Starting point is 01:07:41 way like she would and it would it would incite a rage in me yeah that would make it's making my handshake now because I'm reliving it yeah I remember one time my mom used to do this thing where we would share a birthday which I was like as someone who needs attention this seems really personal yeah yeah but my mom would put our birthdays together because my sister's birthday is in December so it was always like on school break and like so my mom was like let's do joint birthday is like joint party not joint birthday yeah so we would have a joint I remember my our first like one of one of the first joint parties I remember us having I was probably like six like maybe and so we're her and I were at the park like all our friends are there whatever I remember we were playing in this there was this park that had a bunch of rocks
Starting point is 01:08:23 like big rocks and kids would like climb on them and jump off whatever and so my sister my sister was notorious for being like it's okay you can go yeah it's okay you can go and then I would go and I'd be come on day's let's go yeah and I'd like hold on my sister's climbing yeah and I was like wait for her to come up And I remember there was one time there was a little boy at this park and he like he was getting pissed off at my sister because I was like trying to give her a turn and then he pushed her and she fell and she started crying and then he got up on the rock and so I went up behind him and I pushed him off that rock. I can't. And then he died and then. That kid grew up to be. You guessed it.
Starting point is 01:09:02 Cole Sprauss. Imagine I wished him years ago. No, he. I remember actually that like one of, it was like a teenager. She got mad because she, that was her little brother. And she came and pushed me, which is crazy. Because I'm a child. Sorry, if I was not outside looking at all these kids are just pushing each other.
Starting point is 01:09:24 King of the hill at that point. Yeah. For real. They're like, we should really take the kids out of there. I know. Where's the parent? But I remember like my mom went over there and yelled at them too because I was like, she asked me why, what happened.
Starting point is 01:09:37 And I was like, well, he pushed her. pushed him yeah that's how that works yeah yeah my one was like mm-hmm you got me there yes you're right you're right that is how that works yes yes yeah so I would have loved to defend you yeah and I would with my life you know that I'll do it now it's all right thank you honestly though that's I was always like drawn to like those friendships that were like the kind of the stronger personality ones because like I you know I'm like definitely a lot of a person and I know I'm like you know like a lot but at the same time like I'm just a little anxious mess most of the time you know and like I'm nervous nervous little girl yes and I just want to shake myself and be like you are strong but then I'm
Starting point is 01:10:15 like oh you know like ever you know but it's good to let it out yeah but it's good to let it out yeah absolutely period okay more fun facts about you this one says you have a snow globe collection yeah oh I love that yes I do how long have you been collecting them I have no idea They just keep appearing. And it's not a practical one because I don't know if you've ever tried to get a snow globe on a plane or like pack it. But like they break. And it's really. Yeah, believe it or not, I don't have a lot of experience with that.
Starting point is 01:10:46 You never like. transporting snow globes, no. Okay. You never like, like, oh, I'm going to, you know. I've gotten like maybe one or two in the years I've been flying. I just love them. You're like, you know that problem everybody has. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:10:56 Snow globes crack. Yes. I've had like confiscated, you know, taken away at TSA. Oh, because there's too much liquid in. Yeah, so usually I have to buy them at the airport, like, after I've gone through TSA and then I had to like take it in my back. Like, I'm like carrying this thing, you know, put it in its little like, you know, spot. Yeah. But I love them.
Starting point is 01:11:13 I just, it's like my way of remembering my little, where, my little journey of where I went. That's so cute. Yeah. I love you. Like a little chotchky. I do. I love that. I know I love a little knick-knack. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:11:24 Yeah. You're so old. 30. Girl. I love a knick-knack. Yeah. I fucking brick a brack on my shelves, bitch. I literally feel like, like, like, especially.
Starting point is 01:11:33 because I was just about to say my fiance and I started collecting magnets for our fridge from different places we go. Yeah. And now we're like, we need to get a magnet. I'm a hundred years old. Yes. Yes. It's like, for a while I was doing shot glasses and then I was like, I'm like, I know I've mentioned a few times. I'm sober. So like not the best thing for me to be like, you know, like, oh, this, this is what could this have? You know, take my mirror lax in there and like, oh, you know. You with your P. Your pet. Yeah. Literally. Yeah. No, but yeah, it's fun to have a little thing that just reminds you of where you've gone and, you know, like, yeah, absolutely.
Starting point is 01:12:10 I remember one time my, I was flying, I was flying out of, I think Arizona, somewhere in Arizona for work. That's where I'm from. Oh, period. Desert. Love that. And we, I remember when we were leaving my fiance and I were fighting and we're at the airport. And I was so late. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:12:25 You know what I mean? When you're at the airport and you're fighting. Yes. Yes. Oh, the silent fighting is. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:12:31 And it was funny because he was like, I'm going to go to. to the store. My sister remembers because she was there. Um, and she's like, I'm going to go to the store. And I was like, okay. Yeah, you're like, why do I care? Yeah. I don't give a fuck. Yeah. Don't talk to. And then he goes. And then he like, he like, whatever. Right. When I was sitting there. And then when we got home, obviously, we were, by the time we got home, we were fine. Right. Of course. And when we got, he was like, oh, um, here. And he gave me the bag that he got from the store. And he bought a magnet. And then it made me cry. Yeah. And then I was like, God, I got you wrapped her on my finger. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:13:03 man I got that bitch's number yeah yeah yeah oh I love that but I was like laughing because I was thinking about like when we were fighting he was like gotta go get a fucking yeah yeah like that's his flowers yeah he just shows up with a bunch of magnets gotta get a fucking magnet because we're collecting them whatever because we're a hundred that's so sweet I think it's so funny when you get your partner something when you're still upset with them because you're like god I'm such a fucking great partner he's gonna love this shirt I know he is you're like doesn't deserve it but you're getting it, you know. Yeah, when you're like getting something and you're like,
Starting point is 01:13:37 God, you would love that. Yeah, oh, yeah. Yeah, you can wrap that up for my ungrateful ass fucking fiance. Yes, yeah. They're like, do you want gift wrap? No, actually, I don't. He can have it in the bag. Here you go.
Starting point is 01:13:48 But don't put it in a cute one. Yeah, no. Yeah, please. Wrinkle it up a little. This last one is not a very fun fact. Oh, God. You had scarlet fever when you were six years old. That's not fun.
Starting point is 01:14:02 That's not fun. And HIPAA. Yeah. So if you don't take care of strep throat, it can turn into scarlet fever. Which I did not know. I did not know. That's fucking crazy. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:14:13 And I survived. I survived. Can you believe that? That's what I'm crocheting. Yeah. You're a little house on the prairie bitch. With my little bonnet on. I'm like, I'm like, mother.
Starting point is 01:14:24 Yeah, you're like, I got the fever spot, huh? For real. That was you at six. It was crazy. It was crazy. I like, I remember because like everything I ate, I would just like, like, bomb. God, I vomit so much.
Starting point is 01:14:35 It's like the thing here. Yeah, no, I throw up a lot. And the only thing that finally got me to stop throwing up was she, like, took Coca-Cola and put it in the microwave for like a hot second. And then it was like warm, almost hot and drink that thing. Never threw up again. Well, I mean, I did eventually. But like, you know.
Starting point is 01:14:55 Did you try that when you were pregnant? No, I should have. What the fuck? What the fuck? What are you? What the hell? That's crazy. Wait a second.
Starting point is 01:15:02 That's crazy. Yeah. The doctor was like just warm up some, some Coke. Maybe he meant a different kind, but, you know, like. You really are Lori Ingalls then. That feels like such an old-timey, like remedy. I know. They like, like, the Coca-Cola.
Starting point is 01:15:18 Yeah. It was great. That's crazy. Oh, my God. And you were a working girl, too. I know. With scarlet fever and all. I was sick a lot as a kid.
Starting point is 01:15:26 I was a very sick child. Yeah. Yeah. I know. I know. It was actually one of the first things I told Christina Ritchie. I was like, she did, did you ever watch, it was such a good movie, gold diggers. No.
Starting point is 01:15:38 It was like, oh my God. It was like the girl from my girl. Okay. And it was Christina. And like, it was, oh, it was fantastic. And there was a part in it where they would like be like, they're talking about this girl named Molly and she was really strong. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:15:49 Like, be strong like Molly. So every time I was like in the hospital or going through something, my mom would be like, be strong like Molly. Oh, that's cute. So I told Christina about it. And she was like, okay. And I was like, right. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:16:01 You know, we just met. I probably didn't need to like go into death. So I had Scarlet people when I was sick. And here's the thing. So like when I was a kid, I was so sick. So I have a really, I have a thing with hemorrhoids. It's not, never here nor there. Oh my God.
Starting point is 01:16:11 I forgot. I shared that. Oh my God. The sweating's coming back. The roids are back. Oh no. Most people. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:16:19 No. The most interesting woman alive. I think it's because I see a lot of me and you. I think. I think it's great. I'm like, God, you're fucking delightful. Yeah. No, you're like the, you're like the, um, uh, confident version of me.
Starting point is 01:16:29 You're like what I could be. And you're the successful version of me. So there we go. Oh, shut up. Let's trade. You want to trade? Shut up. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:16:36 Yeah. Oh my God. How fun would be if we had like a freaky Friday. Oh my gosh. Obviously, obviously you're Lindsay Loham. No, but you. And I'm Jamie Lee Kerr's. It would be hilarious because like, okay, wait, I got to go back to what you just said.
Starting point is 01:16:49 But like, no, the idea of like me just like meeting your fiance and you meeting my husband. Like, you'd be like, that's, hello. Hello, little guy. How do you do? I'll pick him up, put him on my side like a baby. Literally, you're like, Aw, you're like giving him a, what was that called?
Starting point is 01:17:06 A nougie. Yeah, oh, my Christian. Can you imagine if I gave your husband a nougie? That'd be crazy. Please. Last time I saw you guys was at the people's choice awards. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Imagine I gave him a little thing there.
Starting point is 01:17:21 That'd be nuts. That was a little thing for me. Well, now I know what to do next time I see him. And a face full of armpit and my knuckles in your scalp. I can't. You know what I feel like I'd have to like chest bump your fiance? Like that's the bye bye. That's right.
Starting point is 01:17:36 That's, it's literally we're, we're almost devolving into like, like disgusting men because I was telling you about Sweet Life. I was like, that's fucking awesome, bro. You're so fucking sick. Boom. Where's your husband? Come here. I'm going to shove him in a locker after.
Starting point is 01:17:56 That's fucking so funny. That's ridiculous. Oh my God. That's so funny. Christian, I love you. We should do another thing. We should do a double date. That would be so fun.
Starting point is 01:18:06 I'd love to. That would be so fun. If anything, we're like variants of each other. Like, we're existing in different timelines, you know? Yeah. This is like our multiverse is expanding right now. Yes. I'm obsessed.
Starting point is 01:18:18 It's like me seeing the other versions of myself. Yeah. As we both are doing this at the same time, I'm starting to get a little scared. I know. You're also one of the, like, few people that I have a, like, your laugh is so great. And like, when people hear me laugh, like my gut laugh, my real laugh, they, they, they, they jump back and like on set all the time my castmates always do that and i'll match your freak every day i love it i love it because it's like oh i feel like i can keep getting louder yeah cackle yes i love to cackle but i
Starting point is 01:18:49 scare people a lot of the time so like i love it i love it literally fucking same you make me feel good period same i fucking love you you're amazing oh my gosh i think you're so incredible and i think you're so talented and i do want to take a quick serious second to tell you that i think you are so incredibly strong because obviously I know okay no I'm actually gonna cry so okay I know what you I know what you've been going through and I know what you've been doing and I think you're incredible I do I really think you're so fucking talented which we all know we've seen obviously you're working and you're talented and is successful but I think that what makes you so special is like really who you are and that's why you've been able to be so successful not in your career but just in personal life
Starting point is 01:19:27 and you're doing all by your fucking self bitch I'm so proud of you I'm so happy for you I know It's been a really hard, like, a few months. Yeah. So I'm really, I'm so proud of you. Thank you. I'm sure you don't hear it enough. So I'm proud of you. I'm happy for you and I think you are very strong.
Starting point is 01:19:42 And I fucking got your ass, didn't I? Fuck. I feel like your fiance area. I'm like, wrapped around that finger. I'm going to go get a magnet. I like, no, honestly. It's okay. Our first fight, you can get me a magnet.
Starting point is 01:19:54 I, okay, but I also don't ever want to fight you. I feel like I will crumble. I will crumble. I could never fight you. I'd be that Wesley Snipes memory. He's like, I could never do that to you. No, honestly, like, I appreciate everything you just said so much.
Starting point is 01:20:09 Like, and the fact that you just took the time to, like, breathe life into me is, I appreciate so much. Like, seriously. Yeah, of course. You're so incredible. And that's, there is a reason you've been working as long as you have. And you're fucking killing it. And now you're a mom too.
Starting point is 01:20:25 Shit. Hardest job in the fucking world. And isn't it crazy how I'm still like, but it's not enough. Yes. I got to do more. Yeah, I find that insane, Sam. I find that insane. I know.
Starting point is 01:20:33 I know. I've literally contacted my team. I'm like, okay, so my next part, I had to get the next thing. And I'm like, they're like, you just had a baby. I'm like, no, for real. Okay, but your baby is three months old, literally. Right. And he'll be there on set. We can, let's just, let's do it. Like, you know, let's do it. Like, you know, so crazy. That's crazy. I know. I know. I miss him. And that's why I look at you. Like, you're, you're still doing it. And that's why I want to commend you for still being so, like, passionate and dedicated to your craft. But also, like, I think, yeah, I just think, yeah, I just think, you. you're meant to do this. You are meant to be an artist. That's who you are. I think it's wonderful. And I think your baby is lucky to have you. Oh, don't. Okay, that was fucking rude.
Starting point is 01:21:13 Don't say that. Don't say that. We can go back to talking about hemorrhoids. Yes. Okay. They just pop out. Right. So we pop out.
Starting point is 01:21:22 Yeah. Well, I think you're amazing. I don't want to give you flowers for it. I think you're amazing. And I think what you do is amazing. And I think that like who you are, you're hilarious. But you're also just you. and that's what makes you amazing.
Starting point is 01:21:34 Thank you. I appreciate the no front and like the realness that you bring. And I appreciate that you bring snacks on red carpets. That is so beautiful. Honestly, that's the best thing about you. You know what's funny is? Every actor I got to that took snacks from me, they literally were like, even Quinta, she told me true.
Starting point is 01:21:53 She was like, I love her. She's so sweet. But she was like, this is so great because I'm stormy. Yes. But she was like in tears. Yes. I don't want to get controversial here. here, okay, but like there's an interview.
Starting point is 01:22:06 Who was it? Shane Lee Woodley, I think there's like an interview. She's like, have you eaten yet? And she's like, yeah. And like, whatever. And it's like so, but to be fair, like you, you don't have time all of the time. It's so hard to eat at these things. And then the Emmys, are you kidding?
Starting point is 01:22:22 You have to pay for your snacks. Mm-hmm. It's a concession stand. Like I'm, you're telling me, I'm in like, Dolce and Cabana over here. And I'm over here, like, being like, do you guys have tap to pay? Use what you have to have, because I don't have a credit card. So I'm having to use my, you know, and does it recognize me? No, because I look so good.
Starting point is 01:22:38 Like, my face ID doesn't work. Like, you know, like, this is not what I look like. And so, yeah, and they're like, and they upcharge it, you know. I'm getting nachos and, like, a sody pop. And, like, meanwhile, they're like, that would be $30. What? $30? What are you talking about?
Starting point is 01:22:52 What am I at a Dodgers game? Like, this is, it's crazy. It's crazy. Like, are you joking? That's crazy. They cannot spare the popcorn. No. They can't.
Starting point is 01:23:01 They can't. They can't. I can't believe it. Actually, my first time going, I literally could not stop talking. I could not stop talking about it. You're getting so passionate. I actually, you know what? As mad as you were when you hit that kid and you like pushed him off that rock, that's
Starting point is 01:23:15 where I'm at with this. You saying concession stand pricing at the Emmys. Yes, literally, you think I had that money? No, I spent it all on glam. Are you kidding? You're like, you have my money. Yes, you literally do. In the show.
Starting point is 01:23:28 Yeah, yeah. I can't. Yeah, the snacks thing. it is a big hit. I even I even told people to that I've pitched that idea before and it's been shot down because they were like no because it's a mess and also like people won't want to do that. But when I bring snacks like it only I only needed one yes. I kept asking. And then when they let me do it I brought like I brought like fun snacks but then I brought like vegan snacks. I brought gluten free snacks. I brought all those just in case. It's so smart. Yeah. Especially Hollywood. You never know.
Starting point is 01:23:58 As I said, I never know what you guys are on. No. That's why I got to give you. I got to give you. Do you have raw beef? And you're like, why, yes, I do. I do, in fact, have meat six. Here you go. Yes. But I think you're amazing and thank you so much for coming on the show.
Starting point is 01:24:11 You're fucking awesome. This was the best time. You're amazing. Before we wrap, though, I would like to know if you have any advice for any creatives who want to get into the industry. Because obviously you've been working since you were child. Yeah. Well, now into your adulthood. But also anyone who is becoming a parent or a mom, right?
Starting point is 01:24:31 like getting and also wants to be a creative or is a creative and wants to have children like that kind of balance do you have any advice for them yeah i think like especially in the creative world i feel like we're never done like we're never like oh yeah like i hit my peak or even though you know sweet life zach and cody's one thing but like you know like yeah but like i feel like always working on it like it's almost like an athlete you know you should always be sharpening your tools you can always find new things and understand a character differently and having compassion for people is I think what makes an actor so great is when you can understand why somebody does what they do and understand the like the mental health side of things is such a big part of my job that I love
Starting point is 01:25:15 because I'm like yeah okay we can look at it from the outside and be like oh she did a crazy thing ha but like at the same time it's like oh no she was like really struggling and didn't have the right tools to do what she should have done. So this is what she ended up doing, you know? And so I think just like constantly knowing that like there is no shame in taking classes. There's no shame in getting a coach. There is no shame in like still working on what you're doing. Because if Merrill Streep is still seeing somebody, we can all see somebody. You know what I mean? Like it's the queen herself. Like you know. And for moms like, oh, I mean, I have to take my own advice with it. But like, It's, this is, this moment right now is not forever.
Starting point is 01:25:57 Yeah. I think I get so stuck in my head of like, when he's crying or something's happening and I'm starting to like, be like, I'm so tired. I can't do this forever. Yeah. Reminding myself of like, oh, no, I literally just have to get past this moment. Yeah. And then we can keep going, you know?
Starting point is 01:26:13 Yeah. Yeah. And also just like reaching out for help because like you have a community around you. You have people who will help. And if you don't, time to make new friends. Because you need people around. you who are going to support you. And it literally takes a village.
Starting point is 01:26:28 Like when I first had my boy, when I first had Levi, I was trying to figure out because he was born with the cleft. So I was trying to figure out the whole breastfeeding situation. Because he wasn't able to latch. And then I was doing the pumping. But then I was like, you know, we basically just, I was like, I think we need to do some donor milk. So they, it's really cool how they do it.
Starting point is 01:26:50 Because they basically, you know, women will bring in their milk. and they will put a bunch of different people's milk all mixed in together. So like if you ate something that had peanuts in it, you know, that could then go into the breast milk. So they do like very little bit. So it's really so many different people's breast milk went into this one little bottle. And our pediatrician, he was like, it's so amazing because back in the day, people, especially in like their tribes, all the women would lactate at the same time. And so there was never on one woman's shoulders to feed the baby. It was like if you're not able to or you need a nap or whatever, you handed them off to your
Starting point is 01:27:29 sisters, to your mother, to your, you know, your people. And same thing with, you know, you'd wake up from a nap and be like, where's the baby? I don't know. Somebody's got, you know, it was a community thing. And he's like, you're not supposed to do this alone, just by yourselves or just you and your husband. Because that is crazy. Like, you are, yes, you're supposed to have people that you lean on.
Starting point is 01:27:49 And like, with that being said, like, I'm not having all my friends breastfeed my baby, but the idea is community it's beautiful yes and knowing that like it is something that I can call you know I have four older sisters and I can call them and I can you know like lean on my friends and I can my mom has been with me every step she's literally watching my baby right now like she has been the best grandma ever and like she's just incredible and so yeah so you're not alone ask for help and things that are hard will pass yeah and and I think that's very validating when you say that too, when you talk about struggle and hardship as a mother and also a working mom. Yes.
Starting point is 01:28:30 Right? So it's like it's hard because you'll because you're naturally very empathetic. But now obviously you're a mom. So your heart's grown a thousand times bigger. Yeah. I was like the Grinch before. I didn't even know. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:28:40 You're like I didn't realize I could be even more emotional like that I already am. It's scary. Yeah. I scare myself. Yeah. And I think that's like that's a hallmark of a really good mom and someone who like cares a lot. But also remembers. that you matter too, right? Like what you want matters, like what your passions and desires are before
Starting point is 01:28:58 you had a baby and now still matter. Yes. We were at the hospital when he got his first surgery done and I was sitting there and I had been so worried prior to surgery so I didn't sleep for like 48 hours. I just was not doing well. Once he, I knew he was okay. I finally everything just started shutting down. And I was holding him and I looked at one of the nurses and I was like, could you take him for a second and I was like, I'm actually going to pass out. And they were like, mom, because they all call you mom there. Because they don't know your name. So they're like, you know, they always get with everybody. Like mom, can you go home actually? They're like, we got this. And they're like, your husband's here. He can take care of him because he,
Starting point is 01:29:39 my son had to spend the night. And so they're like, could you just go home for two hours and take a nap or whatever? They're like, go eat, leave. And they're like, I know it's going be hard and I was like you don't have to say you don't have to tell me twice actually I'm gonna go yeah I went and I stayed at a friend's house and I just napped for like three hours and I ate and I was able to be like revived you know take a deep breath the first time yes and now I can go back and I'm not a bad mom because I said hey I need to like put my mask on first before I can you know yeah absolutely you know in the moment you feel like you always feel like you're yeah well and it's because you're a good mom right like and you love your baby obviously it's that it's again it's
Starting point is 01:30:19 one of those things where like two truths can there can be two truths at the same time right like like you can't take care of myself otherwise I can't take care of my baby yeah right again the mass thing like you just said yeah but I think you're amazing and incredible and you're so resilient and strong and you're doing it all with it's all in your because it's all you too we're the same person we are so everything you're saying vice versa no thank you I love you you're the best that's what I said and I said and you're doing it all with hemorrhoids look at you I know truly you can do it all that makes me a superhero. They called me the role.
Starting point is 01:30:51 I can't. I can't. I'm not going to get myself. A shiro, if you will. A shirro. Well, thank you so much for coming on the show. I fucking love you. Thank you.
