Girl, these gays are getting on my nerves, girl. I'm like, you're a gay. You're a gay. What are you serious? They're everywhere. Everywhere you look, girl, like from the swamps of Louisiana. Literally even gay penguins in Antarctica, baby. Gays are literally everywhere, girl.

It's like every, every species, every, everything, every, everywhere. You think gay people just popped up yesterday? I do. And I'm sick of it. Hey, everyone, and welcome back to another episode of, of the comments section show starring me, your fave, everybody knows me, who cares about me? On to the guest.

Today we have the iconic, the legendary, the champion herself. Jada Essent Hall, who! Wow! The crowd goes wild. There's only three people here. Three of us, yeah, that's good,

that's fine, this is a snatch game. Yeah, period. Thank you so much for coming on the show. Thank you, thanks for having me, Drew, how you doing? Oh, girl, I'm doing much better now. Good, same, literally. Last night was rough, but I'm here today, yes. Oh my gosh, T, me.

I also love the shirt. Thank you. We love change. Thank you. I feel like I love change and I also love women. And also I feel like women do like literally as a shirt says, you don't owe anybody a damn thing. Period.

Just exist. That's why you're matching my, my decoration. Absolutely. Look at that. I don't know why we censored the word when I cuss all the time on this fucking show. Wish it was the gag because when I saw that and I thought to myself, I'm like should I like put like maybe like something over the eye?

And then I thought then it might think say, oh, you shat. And I'm like, then something. Like, I don't want to leave. Girl, sorry, I can't do that. I'm not doing that to myself. It's giving, that's not for me either. It's not my kind of, you know. Yeah.

I'm so honored to have you. Thank you. Huge fan. Obviously, a legendary champion of RuPaul's Drag Race. Thank you. And on the new season of We Are Here. Yeah, season four. I'm like, very exciting.

When I tell you, that season is, the show is so good. This season, and it's like, because we have, like, new host and the show, like, format is so different now. I feel like it's almost like another show. Absolutely. It feels like another show. It's like I've had Sasha on, had Bob on. Now you.

You love bald women. I do. I do love bald women. I hate bald men. Well, let me. This is probably a bad time to tell you. This is a bad time to tell you. So I would love to know just a little bit more about your lore.

Like how did you get into drag? Like what drew you to drag? Like when did you start like really doing it for real? But it's kind of gaggy. I didn't even want, I never even wanted to do drag. Really? I really didn't, I didn't really get it. And like, but I kind of remember, like, also I had this one boyfriend who was a liar.

But one thing that he did have in his house. Didn't we? Don't we all? That's the, probably currently lying. Female experience. That's the, I don't know, I'm not even saying my experience is a female experience, but it's also giving. Well, if we have that, we have that to share. Absolutely.

But I never wanted to do drag. I saw, like, at his house, he had like this magazine, like this local magazine thing. And it was like, Miss Gay Wisconsin, USA. And I saw that picture. And I remember looking like, hmm. Hmm, that's interesting. It kind of closed it. But even didn't think that I would ever do drag.

And then one day it was like this competition. But I do remember two Drag Race hat came out. So I had saw a little bit of Drag Race before I started drag. So you were familiar? Familiar with it slightly. But I kind of even started watching Drag Race a little bit. Like it was the first season, but it was like not even when it first came out. Like the first beginning of the show.

Yeah. And so I was like hockey. I'm like, if I got on that show, girl, I would win. I don't even do it. And it didn't even do drag. And then like eventually. and I was right. That's crazy.

You kind of gagged me a little bit. I kind of gagged me a little bit. You ate that one. And like, but then like one time they was like, I used to do hair shows. So I was getting my hair like all these crazy styles and be like dancing like routines. And then one day it was like this competition. They were like, everybody's like, you should go. You should do it.

Like you would be really good at good. And I'm like, I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. But I got ready and did it. My friends that were supposed to background dance for me, they dropped out. at the last minute and I was like okay well I guess I'm not doing it

because I was still like not confident enough to go and do it by myself so shout out to y'all that you're kind of disappointed me a little bit but I but it's giving but also that was good because then I was kind of would have been probably for a while leaning on like a crutch

of people having to be present with me to be successful in drag but I went out and like I was like well I've already paid for these all these things and like I'll just go and see what happens And the people in my community were so affirming to me. It was crazy.

Everyone's like, you look so good. Like, some people like finally like give it. And I'm like, okay. I was like, maybe I should do this again. Yeah. Even at night, I had the, if I go back and like those pictures, they were very affirming, but it's also maybe they were liars. Remember they were being nice to you.

Very nice. But I like, I had the nerve. They made me feel so confident that night I went out to the casino. casino in drag. And some man was hitting on me. I'm like, oh my God. You said, I'm fish. I said, I'm so sorry.

He believes. And then when I was leaving, I was looking, this is the worst part. Because everybody was telling me how pretty I was. But I was leaving. I was walking by the mirror. And I went, that man fully knows I'm a man. He fully knows I'm a man. He said, oh, I'm not.

Oh, he clocked me from a million miles away. I just happened to be his tight. That's true. Gaggy was not gagging. No, he was not gaggy. He was like the fact that you have the nerve to come out, that's sexy. Maybe he loved the confidence, but it wasn't the mug. Maybe it's a, well, all the drag queens I've had on have been like,

a bad, bring back bad drag. Bring back, bad. Yeah, bad drag is valid. It's like, it's, well. In the early days. I feel like, I feel like, I feel like what I really feel like they mean the most about that is like the not being so serious about drag. You know what I mean?

Like I think everybody is so serious about everything. Like even like bring back bad Instagram. Like bring back like when we all were using that weird filter that when you go back like Vienna or something. Yeah. And it's like when you go back to the picture, you go, ah, nostalgia. Like scrimatone. Like it's giving Kim Kardashian used that filter.

Yeah. That's crazy. Early days of Instagram. But it was like more like you didn't. you don't feel like so many, we're just having fun. You didn't really feel like it has to be the perfect picture. It got to be like right.

It was like if the night was crazy and I fell out on the sidewalk, I'm posting the random picture of me on the sidewalk that my friend took. Nowadays it's like you, how is that going to change? Is that how is it going to affect the numbers? Yeah.

I'm like what does that even mean? Yeah, like even like I feel like too, every drag queen I've had on has said the same thing. Like they've all had horrible drag in the beginning. And it's like a character builder. Yeah. So it's like you learn to develop the queen itself

like through the bad track. Like you'll find your look eventually but you develop all the other things that make you who you are yeah and it's like you find it's like it's like almost like through mistakes totally you find your way and even with dragon like when you

first start and you do like this it's like this moment where it's like you almost are like way more fearless it's like I haven't I don't have a goddamn thing to lose I can be like I'm like if I decided I want to pick myself all purple now it's like you Like for myself, I imagine you do that.

And some people are like, that's not your brand. Why do you want to be purple? I'm like, well, because maybe today I felt like I wanted to be purple. And like, do you know, I can also do that. I have the freedom to do that. But back then you are more like, I don't get fucked. I don't care. I'm going to do what I want to feel.

And so I think a lot of the girls that like you kind of want that energy back. Like even like after the pandemic situation, even like dressing rooms are not the same for drag. I feel like it's kind of. Have you ever been in drag? I've never been in full drag. No. Trixie was supposed to put me in drag and then she canceled on me. Just kidding.

She went on sabbatical. Yeah, yeah. So she was supposed to put me in drag. I've never been in full drag though. We should do it. We should. We should. I would love to.

I feel like you should do it. But you have to try multiple drag. I would love. Because I'm like, I can see with a tricksy face. Oh, girl. I said, don't, I said if you do anything that I don't like, I'm going to call you racist. I warned her.

Call her out. And this is a funny thing. Well, then you should call her out now. It's her drag. Have to. Anything you don't, you say anything if she does, anything you don't like. Racist. Drag.

Her drag. That's it. Business is great. YouTube, I love it. Love to run on the show. Drag I hate. For real. But she's from Milwaukee to we're both from Milwaukee from the same town.

Yeah. And it's crazy because we're talking about starting drag. Like when she started her drag, we really almost start like at the almost exact same time. That's crazy. And so like... The drag world is, I feel like it's so small. Like, y'all always overlap at some point or another. Yeah, at some point.

And like, even James is from, James Mansfield, it from Milwaukee, too. But specifically, which is crazy because I, like, would work a lot in the city. But I had never in my life ever met James, not one time. That's crazy. Not once. And everybody in the city is like, how do you not know her? And I'm like, how do you all, everybody knows her. And I don't know how I never worked.

And you were both in Milwaukee. Yeah, in the same city. I guess we just never worked the same kind of gigs. And one day we happened after. after it was like she went to film the show and people were like, a girl from Milwaukee went. I was like, oh, really? I don't, okay.

And it was like the Sunday that she got back from filming, we happened to then be on the same brunch. Finally one day. And I was like, we meet again. Yeah. For the first time. And then she told me, she said,

girl, you know what? You need to audition for the show. You would get on. All you got to do is just open your mouth on the tape and you'll get on the show. And I was like, I agree. And you know what it's funny. Even when me and Trixie, we were like,

And it's like because like the love in your community even like to see like people to want to see people like succeed. Like for at that point like she was on the show but I hadn't done the show. And like even before when Trixie was getting ready for the show, we both auditioned for season seven. And I auditioned and I never heard a word back. From anybody at work. That's okay. Trixie went home pretty soon. Yeah.

Hate her drag. Bad drag. Bad drag. She's bringing it back. when I had Sasha on. I was like, how was drag race? Like, all my friends, I've said it's like American Ninja Warrior, but you have to be like, wig down, dress, costume, makeup. I'm like, I think that, like, thank you for allowing me to be in this space, one, as myself today, not in drag.

That's what all of my drag friends have said. They're all, I love that I don't have to come in drag. Yeah, because I'm like, the one thing is like also, I get like, sometimes with Rupal's, we're like, she's not in drag at this event. And I'm like, but she is herself and she is her character and she's also, it's like, we, I don't, the work that takes to get into drag, I think some people also don't even understand that. It's like, it's like, as a drag artist, it's like, you have to come up with your own costumes. Yeah. Where some celebrities, some celebrities, you walk in and say they have a wardrobe for you to pull from. It's like, we're at home stressing like, and this has to be the right look.

And like, and the makeup has to be perfect. And it's like, then you have to, and you're responsible for those things by your. There's some people who have like a team of people who help them with that. But for the most part, when you do that by yourself, it helps add to your identity almost, you know what I mean? And so it sets you apart. Yeah, and it sets you apart, but it's a lot of work. It's exhaust. But even aside from then, it's like I want to, you want to be able to like when people see you out, they can have an expectation to know who you are outside of the dragon, get to know you a little bit, meet you as another space.

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And even Trixie told me, I think Trixie was probably the first drag queen. never had on but she she told me like when we come out of drag like we feel comfortable like that's a good thing because when we're in drag like we're someone else like we have to be our character and and then also it's like the magic of putting together all of that yeah then there's the anxiety of all of that not staying together yeah so you like on a stand and it's like giving

it's the wig down yeah and then this and it's like the bra and like the corset it is tied and you're like got to pee and it's like giving and it's giving then you go is this woman on drugs at the podcast she's fully she's fully on drugs at the podcast yeah when i talked to sasha i was like did you i was like a lot of them said it was fucking hard because i know it is yeah she's like i mean i had a good time and i was like well you did win so maybe you're biased and i was like i have had a lot of losers on the pot who lost yeah on the pot yeah but you know what is what is what is what is what really is a loser you know what they want if they get to come on here a Loser is a person who got an opportunity and then you like squander.

That's a loser. You know what I tell that to like literally people who audition for the show. The girls are always like, girl, what advice do you got for me for like if I want to get this show? I'm like, girl, just audition and be yourself. That's really it. I'm like, if you get the opportunity, it's not about they're like, because I will do what I want to win.

And for me, I kind of, it's bad advice for me. It sounds like it's bad for me to be saying because that's what I did. Unfortunately, I am a winner. I won. I was like, when I did a season, I was like, I auditioned for season seven. I didn't hear back. And I was like, I'm not going to audition for the show again until I feel like I'm ready to do the show.

But I guess the younger, me who sit in the tape, even though the tape was crunchy. And when I watched it back, I looked at. I come and watched my tape when I did it the second time. I was like, okay, whatever happens, I'm like, I'm not going to hold myself to some sort of standard. I'm just going to record the tape. And have fun.

Two days and finish it and have fun and send it off. And it was so different. The energy was different. And then it worked out. But I'm like, but for anybody else, though, I'm like, just try. audition for the show. You never know.

And it's like also develop yourself. You send the tape and it's like, and then it's also who cares if you do or don't make the show? Like if you get the show it's great, you have an opportunity, you have a platform, use that, make more for yourself. But then it's also you cannot, you haven't done drag race.

And I'm on your shit. You know what I mean? Like, there's so many people that are like carving their own path, make your own way. You don't have to like, you could be successful in drag and not do that. There's a lot of drag with RuPaul. RuPaul is gag. The girls don't. don't get this.

Rup Hall was not even on drag race. That's gaggy and she's successful. Crazy. That's crazy. She's a pioneer. You know what I mean? So I'm like, do your shit. Yeah.

Make a tape. Send it in. If they don't pick you, keep doing yourself because like literally you're relying on the opinions of people who don't know you. Sometimes like when you do a tape, your energy might not read well on a tape. There's some people that are stunning. And then sometimes they take pictures and you go, girl, you always look crazy. in the pictures, but then you see them in person

like, you're a goddess. This is crazy. Or some people, you know what I'm going? You know what I mean? Like, yeah. It's just not an accurate measure of whether or not you have the talent. Or if you're successful or if you're talented and maybe you might not be talented in that arena. Like some people like in a competition setting, I'm like, that's when like some girls do the

show and they like, oh my God, I went home and it was so bad I'm beating myself up, but I'm like, girl, you're your, your fact, your art. Yeah. Your art, not competition. You know what I'm saying? Exactly. And even in Dragress, I'm like, I'll go to the show. I'm like, I think, I think, I think, I I think that's what allowed me to do well and maybe win because I'm like I had it in my mind.

I'm like anybody here could win this for real. You never know. Like all it takes is one bad day and you could be out of here. So you just go and you just do your best and see what happens. Absolutely. And I would love to talk about the new season of we're here. Oh, yes, yes. How was that?

Like how was the experience as a whole filming it? It was really good, but to be honest, it was very like an eye-opening experience. Like I'm from a small time. Like, Milwaukee is not really big. It's a city. It's not a really big city. But you kind of, when you, when we were in Tennessee, I'm like, this, people are really crazy and racist and like.

I've only been to Nashville, so I haven't been outside of Nashville. But even when I was there for like the few days, it's, you can see. It's like, you go. And it's like, it's kind of weird. You can like feel it when you're walking around. You see, you see a white straight man wearing an American flag shirt. And I'm like, I, it's kind of crazy that now what is our country. country's flag is like a threat at you.

You're like, uh-oh. I'm like, it's like, somebody's like, oh, my God, that's supposed to be a symbol of our freedom and it's giving like this man might attack me. Yeah, it's giving fear. You know what I mean? That's crazy to think about. And we were out there with, like,

the best part of that experience, though, is like even knowing that it's crazy and it's dangerous and it's like wild out there to see queer people still being like, whatever is out here, we still don't, like, I'm still going to exist. I'm still make space for me. I'm like, where we go into the show

like we're here but it's like we're I feel like more like assistance to the people who are there like maybe sometimes like helping them see a little bit of comments

that they already have like when there was um Sasha's drag child from the show Norman like he was running for mayor of the city and they were like giving him like somebody shot through his house

shot through his house because he was gay and running for mayor that's crazy and And it's like being in a city like LA, having the opportunity for us to like travel to sometimes I go to big cities and no matter what city you're in, people are, there are still closed-minded people.

But you don't see it as much and you go out there and I'm like, I'm gagging that. I'm like, even if my, like I saw that in my city and I leave that and go away from some of that. And you kind of, not that you forget about it, you know it's there, but you don't see it so it's not always actively in the front of your mind. Yeah. It's almost like you can never really ever get used to it. get used to it yeah you know what I mean yeah so I don't know it was just being out there

it was just very weird and I'm like I like see my drag daughter Malika like her story was I don't want to like give too much of her story specifically her story was so complex and I really I feel like if I I'd like to describe it to people so they think want to be interested in seeing it but I'm like it you really really really have to see her story yeah because it's like about the Rainbow Mafia there's also parts of our community that a lot of people think they know everything or like girl I'm I'm open-minded I'm gay and I'm a good ally. I'm like, as gay people, there are bad allies that are gay.

Like some, there are bad gays. Yeah. And sometimes there are uninformed gays too. Like for, I don't want to tell her story. But when you watch the story, there's so many layers to who she is as a person, so much that she's been through. Yeah. And like, we were going there to like, oh, we're here.

And I'm like helping her now. She's like one of my best people in my life. And I'm like, girl, I'm here through your experience and you just sharing your story with me has opened my eyes up. to so much she is if anybody if you can watch the show and you see it please do please do and also then please send a lot of love to malika specifically i'm like girl she is going through a lot in her in her journey and her life and to be in a place like tennessee i'm like i could only imagine how much she would thrive if she lived in another space yeah if she if she had been born somewhere

else how big her personality is how beautiful her heart is but it's like she's not And she's where she is. And then like, even with her circumstances, she's still like, I'm still going to be here. She's like, I love country music. I love fishing. I love going. She literally has a kayak.

She's a country girl. She's a country girl. It's like, you're like, I'm a country girl, and I don't want to be a city girl. I want to be a country girl. And you can't tell me that I can't also be a country girl and have this space. That's the saddest part, too, is like chasing them out of what they know and love. What they know and love. Where they're born and raised.

and they love being there, they want to be there, and chasing them out of their city to go somewhere so they don't have to live in fear of being murdered is fucking insane. It's crazy. You know what I mean? It's so unfair. It's like somebody's forcing to choose your lifestyle for you. Yeah, exactly. They're like, well, if you don't want me to kill you, you got to, you got to move.

You got to move. Yeah. And I, you know what a, what a, what a constant. It's an evil. And people, and the thing is that people, these are the mindset that they have. And I think that even with that mindset, they don't think that, They don't think that when you say it so plainly like that, I think a lot of people, they go, oh, well, no, that's not what we're saying.

No, that's not, but like the root of it that is what is giving. It's giving, shut up and stay in your house. Yeah. I don't want to see you or leave here or there will be problems for you. And I'm like, do you not realize how crazy? If somebody did that to your family or to your kids at school or for whatever reason, and even when we were down there, too, like the schooling system was, like, some of the stuff was crazy.

They had an election at the school for like who was going to be like kind of like almost like principal kind of vibe, an election. And they were literally asking the teacher, like the educators who were like running for this office, this position for the, I guess for the principal's office. Okay. Who was running for the principal's office? Were they Republican or Democratic? What does that matter when you're a principal?

What does it have to do with like educating kids? Like what does it have to do with molding minds? And specifically more so that the people there would know who's Republican so that they can say that's the person I'm choosing. Yeah, exactly. Like they're like, well, before you apply. Before you apply, we want to know that you hate trans people. Yeah, I just want to make sure. Because otherwise.

We want to make sure you're not making space for kids here. Don't make you. Hey, we don't want anybody safe. Yeah, make sure you don't bring that liberal shit over here. Yeah, you know what I mean? And also like spaces where it's like in these schools where it's like giving, they literally had, they were, thankfully they kind of struck it down. And it was like they were, the school was working that if students came out or mentioned that they were queer, that the school would call their parents and tell them. And I'm like, you're like, how like, it infuriates me.

It's crazy because I'm like, you have no idea what somebody's at home situation is and you out them, they could go home. Their parents could be so crazy, racist or homophobic. reason why their parents don't know if they know what I mean, when they haven't told them. So outing them is insane. Yeah. And evil. And evil. Yeah. And I've, even with all the queens I've had on the show, I've talked a lot about how like, you know,

their war on drag queens a lot of times, obviously it's always just a war on an LGBTQIA plus community, but also specifically trans people. So it's like, they're like, oh, drag queens are trying to read story time to your kids. And like, I've made this joke with every queen. I'm like, every queen I've hung out with fucking hates. kids. So, like, they don't want to talk to your kids.

Like, how else? Look, you know what? I love kids. For the most. Child, but even my shirt, I'm not like, I'm like, I'm like, my mouth is bad. You know what I'm saying? And, like, it's crazy. And you know what the T is?

There are some sickening drag queens that are amazing with kids and reading books with kids and doing that kind of thing. And they are like speaking up and standing up for kids. And there's a lot of us, like, get away from our kids. I'm like, get your kids away. for me. Yeah, like, a lot of them, they're like, I don't mind them. I just don't want them at my show and I don't want them when I'm working.

Or when I'm like, you know what I'm like? Or if they're in that space, they can be in that space. And I'm like, but it's like, again, it's for every, it's people, if you're not in, if you don't like something, then you don't have to like it, but you don't have to tell other people how they got, what they have to do or do it. Or create narratives that are not true. You know what I mean? And I'm like, so even when we, even we talk about like drag shows and kids coming

there, I'm like, even for me, I'm like, even for me, like I know that even though I don't really I'm like I just do my I want to do my show and I wanted if I wanted to be sexy than I I I don't have to think about like that I'm like I but also I know that there was a lot of queer children that like sometimes they you like I could only imagine that if there was a drag show or anything that was queer and I was a kid and I'm like I could be in that space and I could feel like you think about this realistically there are not like a lot of GSAs at school there's not a lot of spaces for kids so When you're growing up and you're queer, like, how do I find myself? Yeah, like how do I know how this pants out? Even if I'm just seeing a drag show, it's like giving, oh my God, now I'm realizing that there's other stuff that I could do. Absolutely. There's options for me as a queer person. Yeah.

A community. A community. And so, like, in that space, I get it. But also, even kids that are not queer coming in and, like, coming in enjoying drag, it's, like, you can, there's room for that. But also at the same time, I want to do the city girls tonight. It's very possible that all these truths can be true at the same time. It passed that, I'm like, everyone in the queer community, like, they just want you to leave them alone. They don't want, just leave them the fuck alone.

It's just like, they don't need anything else. Like, they're not asking for anything other than to fuck off. All I want to do is get up in the morning and do stuff that everybody else is doing. And not be bothered. And like, even, even like, you know it is a crazy. I feel like with like a drag queen. I'm like we like we have a platform so it is very important for me to make sure that I'm using my platform and speaking up. But I'm like also we are not the gay mascot, gay mascot, gay mascot,

educated, gay, every knowing everything. And for everything and everyone. So like sometimes there will be things like like even as queer people we we, we, I'm constantly looking for information about my community or even people that are not in my community to see how I could be a better person. But I'm like there are things that we do not know. When drag queens don't know certain things, we do not need people coming on our, like coming on social media and being like,

you're a horrible person, you should have known every. Like, you don't know everything. I know what you know most times. I know what you know. And it's like sometimes there is new information that comes up. And it's like, totally.

If there is a space for that, then give me that and say, hey, I love you. This is some information you might not have. Totally. And then so, and then if I get that information, from you and I go, you know what?

And say something crazy and stupid. You go, now, wait a minute. Now you didn't know. Yeah. But then you can act crazy. You can't assume that people, they know everything. And it's like also, I'm like, it's better to have an ally than like an enemy, I feel like. In some ways, I'm like, if it's easy to educate people.

I agree. Just tell, like, if you know something, that you, if you know something, share it with people, but don't assume that everybody's walking around with the same information. Absolutely. Especially for all, like, we can all have a general understanding of where we're all standing. Right? So like you know we're on the same side. So if I don't know something that you do, feel free to tell me. Sometimes there's minor details that I don't know.

And you can tell me and then I'll be like, I didn't know that. That's, thank you so much for sharing it with me. It's the accusatory shit or like inflammatory shit where you're like, okay, now hold on. It's the making a crazy post. Yeah. And then being like, I'm not trying to come after them. I'm like, well then. What was the point of this then?

It's not giving, but then you take a drag queen. who is just sometimes just a gay or could be your trans sister or trans brother or could be a person. And then they don't have a piece of information and somehow they are held to another standard like so many other people than your family or your friends that are also queer

Like, yes, you were right for this job. Like seeing it in real time. And then that's like crazy for work. But then it's like for myself, I'm like, then that same day. I'm like leave the work. I'm like, oh, I'm so exhausted. And then my friend, which was fierce because I have a friend, he worked at the fourth season.

So he would give me like a cute little like hookup for a massage, but I went to the wrong fucking four seasons. I was over it. And I looked like the time in the car. I said, I'm not going to make it. And so I'm like kind of frustrated like, oh my God, walking down the street. And then I born into another queen.

She was this woman, just woman, black woman, beautiful on the street. And was like, Jada. And she was like, I don't even take no picture. I don't want to do nothing. I just don't tell you. thank you for what you do for us. I'm like, girl, how, like, lucky am I? Yeah.

That just by existing and being here and walking and doing what I'm doing, I think we all should be able to do that. But that people give me flowers or tell me the thing I'm beautiful. And I don't take that for granted because I know so many people in my life that are stunning, beautiful, have so much personality. And then sometimes I'm the only friend that they have that will tell them that. And so I'm like, it's crazy that I get to listen to. live a life where people tell me how much they appreciate me, validate me, make me give space

to me. And that's not for everybody. Everybody does not get that. I will never take that for granted. So I'm like the biggest part of what I do is like that I get to connect with people that I get to like come onto a space like this, do a podcast. You come meet dope people that like again, you even give me like give me flowers and appreciate what I'm doing.

Absolutely. That's it. Like no lies. And as long, and I feel like as long as I'm able to do my job. And even if it's not doing drag, as long as I have the opportunity to be able to have this platform and connect with people and meet people and give them, make space for them,

I'm gonna keep doing that. Absolutely. And I'm gonna keep doing it and doing it well. Well, I do wanna say too, period, that you are so important and so necessary. And I feel like you have been around for, like in the drag world for a while, but past that you've been able to transcend like outside of just the drag world,

because it is the drag world now is so mainstream, but it hasn't always been that way, right? And so you've been able to transcend and basically build like a bridge for people who maybe had never heard of it or maybe we're never exposed to it, but now they've grown this love for it, but past that, just how you present

and how to the world and represent your community, the many different marginalized groups you sit within is so valid and so important. But that's what was literally the same for you. I mean, even this space. I'm like the fact that there's not a lot of straight people because I'm making, I'm gonna be making space for other queer people and allowing them

to tell their stories and make, that's also important. And like, when we did like press for we're here and like, we were talking about like what it means to like really be a real ally. And like, Latrice was like, you gotta really pull up. And I'm like, that's what you do and that is almost as important as being queer and being myself.

It's like for somebody to saying like, I'm a straight woman, I'm also saying that this is okay. And I'm also letting y'all see where y'all might not see this through any other way, I'm going to give you a lens to that. So what you do is major important too. And thank you so much for like my. And I'm like also my sisters would not fuck with you if you were not that girl. So I'm like it's giving. It's giving.

That's giving. That's giving. You said I picked the meme with a giving tree. It's giving. I don't know. I've said my, the highest compliments for me are from any of my gay friends, my drag friends or anyone in between. anyone outside of a straight person, if they tell me that I'm funny, that I'm beautiful,

I'm like, period! Period! Because you are. That's like the highest compliment to me. I'm like, no one can tell me shit. No one can tell me shit. Can't touch me. But I'm so grateful to have you on the show.

I'm grateful that you exist in the space. I'm grateful we exist at the same time. Literally, we are existing in this space at the same time. And off camera, I want your number and we need to go out. We have to. We have to. We have to kick it. And you said you smoke.

I love to. Definitely smoke. Yeah. Don't start. It's a bad habit. And then also, then you'll be leaching off my weed and that's going to be a problem. Okay, just to wrap, what would you say is your best piece of advice for anyone in the community that maybe not even necessarily wants to do drag, but even if they do, just someone who maybe wants to be an entertainment, maybe feels a little afraid to, like, be themselves, like you said, even someone. even some of the drag girls

like when they're getting started they're like I have to be perfect before I auditioning you're like you just got to be yourself like that's what shines brighter than anything that's advice I would have I'm like I think like it's a very hard thing to do even for myself I'm like I'm like I'm like even probably for you it's like

it's a constant battle like where it's like I know some the things people say don't matter yeah about you but then you still might find yourself in this head space yeah because you're human you're human yeah and you think about it but it's like realistically I'm like if we all understand and know how beautiful we are when we are our own selves.

Period. Oh my God. That would be so fierce. And I think that just, and the crazy thing is, is like, you don't, we, some of us, we don't even know who we are. I feel like I kind of know who I am right now. Even when I think about my, when I first started drag, my drag persona, young, ridiculous, sometimes not really the most put together.

Yeah. But was confident enough to bring me to who I am today, that person. And I am not that person. all anymore but we continually change and I think give ourselves permission to be ourselves and change and do what we want to if today you decide you know I want to like even if you even if you you feel like it you might be queer or you're just something that's like go out on a limb and make space for you totally make space for you you know make space for you to be yourself to grow to grow and evolve and learn who you are and discover

yourself totally and and if you if that's if that's drag if that's want to do a podcast if that's wanting to be Brianna, whatever you do, literally you cannot do that without being yourself. And I'm like, even like with this kind of career, I've like had the opportunity to meet a lot of people that are famous. And I'm like, all the ones

that are all my favorite people that I have met that I felt like they were my favorite people before I met them. And when I meet them in person, you see the personality is so magical and the same. And it's because they are who they are. Absolutely. And that's how they find success. Be who you are.

Yeah. And you're gonna find a lane. You're so right about that. I've told people that too. I'm like, there's already like, everybody is so uniquely themselves. And that's the most,

the most beautiful thing about you is, is who you are because that's unique. There is no other you in the world. Like one person for any example for that, like, I'll say like Cardi B. Yeah. Girl, I loved her forever. When I saw on the show,

I'm like, oh, she's hilarious. Oh, I'm loving hip hop. She's hilarious, yes. And like, and fighty. Yeah. She was still the funniest on that show. Still the funniest, you know. And I'm like, her personality, like, I'm kind of, like, glad that, like, my success kind of almost, like, started happening, like, around when stuff started happening for her, too, because I saw her be herself.

I would watch her on the show and, like, I'm from the hood, too. And the way I'm, like, I was so insecure about the way I speak and the way I sound. And then you think, like, because of where I'm from and the way I talk, I might not be able to find success. And then when you see her be herself and she's, like, just going places. and people appreciate her being real. I was like, oh my God, I can, I'm like, it was giving more like, let's, off the whiz, you know, when they start stripping out.

I'm like, everybody wake up. I'm like, girl, what? I could, the girl see. I'm like, be you however you are. And if people like it, they do. If some people ain't going to get it, that's not for them to get it. Yeah, and you're so right.

She has never once changed. Not once. Her personality, like the way she talks, everything. That's like everyone's favorite part about her. I love her. And she's just so authentically herself. And look how it worked out. So that's T.
