Thanks for having me. Okay, elephant in the room, yes, you look way better than me. And I find that disrespectful. You're on my show. That's really fucked up of you to show up in a better costume. But I feel like I love Halloween, so I just have to go all out. You can't tell by my costume, but me. Me too. I also love Halloween. Honestly, that's the vibe because I also love onesies and comfy.

And you know what? Thank you for making me feel better about looking worse than you on my show. Even my shoes, I'm like, hey, I gave up. I wore burks with socks. I don't want to hear it, all right? It's my show. But anyways, thank you so much for coming. It's an honor to have you. It's been a long journey for you. I feel like on, well, you've been famous for fucking ever. But you are now doing music. which is so exciting and have been for the past couple years. So I know a whole bunch about your lore, but I would love for the people if they don't know, which, how could they not?

You're one of the most people on TikTok. What your journey has been like from TikTok to now doing music full time and all of that. Honestly, it's been crazy. I started TikTok 2020 after I got out of the military. So it was like... Which I also knew, and thank you for your service. You are fantastic. And that's crazy.

Are people shocked when they hear that? Yes, because they look at me and they're like, why it's just 411, they let 411 people in the military. I'm like, yes, actually, the cutoff is like 4-9. Like, is it really? Yeah, 4-9 or 4-10. Your Captain America without the super soldier serum? Yes, yes. Before, before.

Yeah. Yeah, and I'm the after. When you take your serum, you turn into me. Anyways, okay, so you started TikTok after you got out of the military. What made you want to start TikTok? Honestly, it was just for fun at first. During that time, we, like, military people weren't allowed to download TikTok.

Really? And so I was just really curious after I got out. So I was like, I'm downloading this. And then I just started making fun videos, honestly, just doing a lot of phase zoom. But the first video I uploaded was of me singing, Rangeloaps. And it's like the song by Ariana Grande. Yeah, love. It's beautiful.

100 views and I took it down because I'm like well nobody gives a shit about my voice I guess but um hate it yeah yeah so I took that down and started uploading lip-syncing videos and then those seem to blow up and do well I just kept doing it yeah well obviously if it works it works right okay so when did you I know obviously you established the following like when did you think like okay now I think I want to really start doing what I really want to do which is music yeah um I mean like people were bullying me a lot and telling me I didn't have talent because all you really see with my content back in the day was just me face like on a phase zoom filter and not not speaking or like really I wasn't showcasing any personality or talent and so I just had to show them um the first

video was of me singing a cover and um they were like oh she can sing well that's great and um after that I was just like, well, I've always wanted to be an artist. I've always wanted to be a singer. And yeah, that was the moment I wanted to pursue it. I was, like my whole life I've been singing since I was seven. I won 36 golden medals from elementary to high school from singing competitions. Okay, period. And I was also in the Navy choir.

So, like, music has just been there. Yeah, it's been your thing. That's like, it's a part of you. Yeah. And I know what you mean about, like, people, well, First of all, especially on the internet, people are awful and mean for no reason, but especially towards women, like, and women of color, right? So when women establish followings because people just like looking at them, all of a sudden it's her fault for being looked at,

which I find stupid and silly. I'm like, if you could establish a following one way and then transition it into something you really want to do, like you would also do the same thing. So people being mean to you for no reason is fucking stupid. Yeah. It's like annoying. the hate comments kind of pushed my videos more in other people's for you pages so I was very grateful don't I know it girl yeah more engagement like trust me I know all about that building a platform off the shoulders of men who hate me I'm very familiar and I it's funny too because recently I was in an NBA commercial and I got to I posted it I filmed it months ago but obviously I posted it recently and a lot of men are fucking pissed off in me because I'm taking yet

another thing that they love, which I've promised from the beginning. But I said in one of my response videos of men being like, why the fuck would you pick her? What does she know about basketball? Blah, blah, blah. I said in my video, I'm like, whether you love me or you hate me, you know me, and you'll talk about me. And that's why they picked me. I was like, so it's like, that's on you, bitch. If you don't want people to hire me anymore, I would suggest stop talking about me. And that's how I see your account. Like, it's like just a lot of people, millions of people like it, but like a small section don't and all of a sudden they're talking shit too and it's pushing it and pushing it so they're feeding your career if anything that's on them so thank you un or reverse

my haters so about your music so how did that process come about when you first started like really like writing and putting together things like for you personally how did that come about i mean i was very nervous at first because i've never really written i've written on my own like i would have it in my journals and stuff but I didn't even know like what a studio would look like yeah totally yeah I was really nervous I've been working on my album since a beginning of well last year and I've been very vulnerable with my lyrics and I've just been just storytelling yeah like what I've and this is your debut album because I have an EP and I don't know you have singles but it's your debut album is big time yeah exciting and um

Yeah, I think Sweet Delusion, my next single, it's going to be out October 18th. And I think it's the first song where I could literally explain to you every single lyric and why I put it there. Yeah. And like, it's just very personal because it's about like my past like relationship. Yeah. And totally. And that's honestly, that's I think what speaks to people the most too is when you're vulnerable. and art is like obviously music is art so that's your way of expressing yourself so i think that's a

beautiful thing and i also just want to say cards on the table your song inferno i was on one of my most played songs the year it came out that's me being honest that's me just putting it out there not in a weird way okay not weird big fan not weird just want to say i was a big fan of that song yeah you know what you guys should you should take a really strong pre-work out and then listen to that song at the gym. That's what I did. It does make you feel like a bad bitch. It does. I felt like Sonic the Hedgehog. I was going like crazy and I was like, it's literally that Nicki Minaj audio and it's like that, that's how I felt when I was in the gym. So, highly recommend if you want to listen to that one or they can listen to your new single, obviously. So tell me about the writing process for your new album. Like how has that been for you as far as

like being more vulnerable? Has it been difficult for you to kind of share a little bit more about yourself um it was easier when i'm like working with friends like my producer is my friend so like um i could be more open about like my stories and like um just share a lot of my dark stories too and also add in like the fun ones um it's been kind of easy actually really yeah that's good yeah to hear probably therapeutic i'm sure yeah very i bet i'm so interested too about your you being vulnerable to in your album because from what people people know barely anything about you like based off your TikTok presence right which I think is I personally find I admire you for that I think that's a wonderful thing because what you share you share forever right especially on the

internet and especially someone of your magnitude on the internet so I commend you for being able to kind of like still protect yourself in a lot of ways it's very hard to exist on the fucking internet especially as women thank you commend you and I'm so excited to see like what kind of sides you showcase I feel like you surprise people pretty often yeah here's the thing I just have so much like social anxiety like you have no idea right now I'm actually having a panic attack you're a shy girl yeah you can't tell I'm very I'm very calm on the outside yeah yeah but I feel like when I'm surrounded with like amazing people like you um I get to be like comfortable yeah and yeah like me and bretman I feel so comfortable with him because like I mean we've known each other for a while but also like

he just brings out that side of me yeah totally well every shy girl needs a not shy friend You know what I'm saying? That helps them feel a little less shy and that's okay. Have you been shy your whole life? Yes. Do you not feel shy when you sing though? No. Period.

Yeah, that's a whole different person. Like I don't even know her. I feel like a lot of performers are like that. Even when I had chapel on the show too, she's very shy. She has a lot of social anxiety too. She gets really nervous. Like in crowds and stuff. But when she performs, she doesn't feel that way.

And I think that's a good thing. That's another, I think, layer of protection too. It's like the performing. side of you and then who you really are. They're both parts of you, but one is one everybody sees and one is only some people see. Yeah. And what about Bremen? Did you guys just connect online?

That's how you guys became friends? Yeah. Love that. Yeah. Honestly, it was, I met him in 2021. Love. Yeah. Period.

And now we're cousins. No, your cousin. I know. It's in my Wikipedia. And he's my sister. I know. He's my sister. And they're like, oh my God, I didn't know you guys are related.

We aren't. You can tell by looking at us. He looks more like Bella than he looks. Like me, what the fuck? But he's grown up around a lot of someone people, so I feel like that's why he and I vibe really well. But anyhow, back to you. I would love to know more about growing up, like, as far as, where did you grow up?

Philippines. In the Philippines, right? Okay. So when did you move to America? When I was 14. Oh, okay. And how was that transition for you? It was a shock.

Really? I can only imagine, especially at 14. I was living in a farm. Yeah, it was crazy. the first time I saw huge buildings was when I went when I went sorry I'm like I'm bilingual so I know you're smarter than me so like sometimes I think in Tagalog yeah and it's just like it confuses my brain but um the first time I saw huge buildings was when I was taking my flight to America oh really in Manila so and were you like fast I was just like whoa that you're like scared I was like

whoa, why is everything so big here? Like, what the fuck? Yeah. That's crazy. And then when you came to America when you were 14 and then did you get involved in a lot of, were you in a lot of like extracurriculars as far as like choir and stuff like that in high school and everything? I actually wasn't allowed to.

Yeah, not even sports. Like, my parents didn't let me. They were very strict. So it was all academics. Yeah, I was an A plus student. Smarty pants. Look at you. Just no extracurricular.

You're just constantly doing homework and stuff. Yeah. Oh, so when did you start pursuing singing when you joined the military? I mean, I did it back in elementary in high school, but I did it behind my parents' backs. Like, they never knew that I was singing because they would never allow it. Yeah, yeah. And yeah, so when I joined the military, I was just always volunteering to be on the Navy Choir. So I'm just like.

And you said you served in the Navy, correct? Yes, I joined when I was 17. How was it in the Navy Choir? I'm so interested in that. I mean on the weekends, they just ask you, hey, do you want to be part of this events on the weekend? Yeah. And I just like, yeah. And then we just sing.

That's really cool. So now, so after you establish the TikTok like platform and then you start really growing, like what was the, I always love to ask this question to people who have been doing it for a while. Like, how did it feel once you really started like moving into rooms with other like huge. producers or artists or anything was like were you frightened at all were you worried or were you kind of like okay period now I'm like gets to do what I really want to do I was worried yeah because I just care so much about like what people think of me but now I feel like I'm so much better like I feel I feel more confident now when it comes to like songwriting and just yeah and it's easier too when it's collaborative, like when I tell the producer, oh, maybe these drums are better, and they listen,

you know? Crazy how that works, huh? When you're making your own music, when they listen. Yeah, yeah. But, I mean, I've worked with people, and, yeah, I'm not going to name names, but there was, you know, someone that I've worked with, a producer, and they're like, yeah, maybe not those lyrics, but I'm like, it's my story. Yeah, you know, it's my song. Well, it's my song, so, yeah, I feel that. I have no way, I in no way shape or form can relate to the song aspect because I can't sing for shit.

But if I could, oh, I'd be so annoying. I said that all the time. I was like, God knew, make that bitch funny. Don't give her any sort of singing voice because I truly, like, I think I would sing all the time. I would be insufferable. Do you like karaoke? I do love karaoke. I don't think karaoke loves me, but I do love karaoke.

I love a good karaoke. You love karaoke. Yes, yes. A lot of Filipino love karaoke. Yes, that's like karaoke. in every party that you can expect like a karaoke machine being there yeah and you know what it makes sense like because it's always fun yeah karaoke's always fun and it doesn't matter if you can sing or not no not at all yeah literally that's when i had kailani on the show she was like i don't like karaoke and i was

like really that's shocking to me and she goes no because like you know like when i sing it's just you know it's just it looks like i'm like showing off and she said i was like oh sorry sorry some of us aren't fucking actual recording artist. Fucking sorry. Some of us are having fun. I know two of my friends did karaoke at my sister's 30th birthday, and they can both sing very, very well. And so they're doing a duet.

I went to bed. I was so mad. Hey, I'm going to sleep. You guys are going to show me up at my sister's party? Just kidding. That's funny. But it was so much fun. So I'm glad.

What's your favorite karaoke song? Right now I've been into Pretty Hurt's Beyonce. Damn. Yeah. That's a hard one. Me personally. I'm like, you didn't ask, me personally. I'm just kidding. I honestly don't even know what song I would pick if I did karaoke because I'd just like I'd just be picking random shit. But I mean, that's pretty hurts. What other kind of songs do like? What an artist do you like? I'm curious. Oh, right now I've been obsessed with Mitzki. Ooh, I love her. Yeah. Chaparone. Sabrina.

Right. Charlie. Yeah. Right. All the pop girls. Obviously, all the pop girls. Because you're a pop girl. And that's actually a perfect segue. into our transition for today, which is men on the internet who think pop is dead or that modern female pop artists have killed the genre. And which is, I think, very common. I think this is the year of pop girls. Like, especially this year, I feel like so many pop women are just really showing the fuck out. Great job innovating music industry, which is obviously sarcasm. Yeah. Well, when he says redoes of great hits that were popular a decade ago, I don't really know any artists that come out with covers and they do well. I don't know. Yeah. I mean, like, they'll do covers and then people are like, wow, that's so fantastic. But to say pop, I don't know, redoes, do you get a lot of hate about music in general? Like, like about your music? Do you ever get guys saying, like, I don't like this? Yes. And you're like, well, it's not for you. Mostly men, actually. It's always men, isn't that? Yeah. They hate anything women do. Yeah. It's funny because I feel like most men, especially the ones I,

I've, yeah, like, I don't think they have good taste in music. Like, most of my male friends actually still listen to, like, what they listened to back in 2015. Yeah. And they still haven't moved on from that. That's tea. And I'm like, it's 2024. No, that's actually so real, because to be quite honest with you, whenever people say shit, like, I'm like, well, what do you like? And then they tell you, you're like, oh, well, I don't want you to like my music then.

If you like my music, that means it's bad because the music you like is bad. That's actually so true. And also, too, I feel like men typically, like men like this who talk mad shit on pop girls is like, you don't even listen to pop music. So, no, they don't. What do you fucking care? Like, you don't even listen to that. What do you guys listen to?

I don't even know. What do awful men listen to? Do you know what they listen to? I'm trying to think, like, Travis Scott. I always think, like, Travis Scott is the worst fans in the world. Like, the men who love him, ugh. every time I see a shithead guy, I'm like, what do you into? Yeah, that makes sense.

Like, yeah, you like him. I mean, that's no, I don't know if that's a reflection of Travis Scott. I'm just saying, why are all your fans the worst? Okay, the comments on this video, this one says, the pop era is gone. If you're still into it in 2024, you have the musical intelligence of a door. What? If you're still into it?

Do pop, do like genres of music just disappear over time? No. That would be like if I said, you're still. Dylan to country? As if like, well, yeah. Yeah.

I feel like this era is so much. Like, it's evolved. Like pop music has evolved. I feel like. Totally. We have so many like great female pop artists.

Exactly. And all sound very different from each other. Like they all, none of them sound alike. Like Chapel Roan doesn't sound like Billy Eilish. No. You know what I'm saying?

Like they don't sound like each other literally at all. So I also think like, saying that you it's again I feel like it lends towards men just want to make women feel bad about about what they like and a lot of times women love pop music and so they try to make it seem stupid or like silly that they like pop music and I'm like if you were selling music like that you'd probably get a girlfriend but if you like music like that you'd probably like I don't know be able to touch a woman like contentually I have like a very funny story actually oh I'd love to hear

Literally. What the fuck? That's a breakup song. And then I told him that and he's like, oh, I thought it was a love song. I thought it was like a cute love song. And I'm like, no. Can I just say the ick that courses through my body thinking about a man playing a ukulele in front of me and trying to serenade me? Oh.

And I feel, I feel humiliated watching you sing in front of me. Did you feel embarrassed? I feel embarrassed for him. Did he sing the whole song? I let him finish, yes. Damn. You sat there for like two and a half minutes? Yeah, my face is literally like...

and then they were kind of like oh oh okay no no they just were so shocked that I was like I'm okay and then they left because I don't want to I don't want to sit there and listen to it yeah it feels like the longest 30 seconds in my life like when I'm just there and be like thank you I usually like just sing along. Of course you do. Bella, if I do that, they're going to get mad at me. All of a sudden, everyone's pissed off because I sound bad. Yeah, the thought of sitting there while a man sings to me, especially in a romantic way.

Yeah. Ugh. Oh, I'd have to turn my back. The ick would be unforgivable. Have you been saying to a lot in your life? Yeah. Yeah. You look like you would be.

I think three times. Yeah. Three times is crazy. Yeah. That's a lot of times that you've been serenated. Do you remember the other two songs? No, the other one was like kind of depressing. I don't know why he was singing that to me.

Was he just singing just for fun or was he trying to like... He was also trying to Riz me up. Again, Riz, yeah. Yeah. Yeah, the first date was like he brought his guitar and I was like, is that a red flag? He brought his guitar to the date? Yes.

Where'd you guys go on a date? It was just like a little dinner thing. Oh, so you went to a restaurant? Yeah. And he brought the guitar inside the restaurant, Bella. And I bet you sat there the whole time, huh? Bella, I got to work with you on that girl. We got to work on that together.

Yeah, I wasn't expecting it, though. I was just like, why are you holding a guitar? Like, might you bring this? You're like, did you come from band practice? And he's like, oh, this? Oh, my God, I'm so glad you brought it up. I have a song prepared for you. Did he sing it at the table?

No, no. Oh, absolutely not. I don't think I'd let him. That would be kind of embarrassing. I hope not. Yeah, no. No, but you're so kind, and I feel like you let men kind of get it out first,

and then you're like... And then I tell them after, yeah. Then you're like, that was really embarrassing. You'll never see me again. Yeah. Did he leave it in the car? I mean, I went to his place. Oh, I see, I see.

And then he played it at his place. Yeah, and then he was like, I know you've been looking at my guitar on that. Yeah, and then after he played, I went home. I was like, good night. I was like, good night. Yeah, that's it for me. Oh, man.

and the fury and the rage, I feel. See, they do shit like that. And then they're like, what do you mean you hate all men? That's why. Like, women don't do shit like that. Like, I don't know how else to tell you that. Like, it's also the fact that they make you sit there and watch the whole thing. Like, you're kind of like, I don't know, it's awkward, especially when they can't really sing and they think they can sing.

It's just like, it's not. Dude, singing in front of you too, would that, you'd have to be real confident that you can sing well. Because I'll tell you what, I'm not singing in front of a bitch who can. can sing. That's for fucking sure. I don't want to hear the, I don't want to hear. It's funny because I want, I tell the story a lot and I don't give a fuck that everyone here has heard it. I was asked to sing for a role. I know you're probably curious. No, I didn't get it. And this is why. Because when I sang Acapella was, they said, well, first of all, they asked me if I could sing. I said no. Then they said, okay, great, send me a minute of you singing Acapella. Why? So you can block me? Okay. So I did.

and I had my cousin help me because he can sing really well. And then he was recording me. And there were some takes where he would be like, okay, I'm going to delete that one because that's really bad, but we should try again. I was like, oh. Wait, did you get to pick the song? Yeah, they said you can pick a song,

but they said to pick a song that's not too niche. Like they said they wanted it to be a song that was like well known. Which one did you pick? Do you remember? I picked Landslide, which is like, you know. Yeah. Don't know what that says about me, but apparently I should.

have picked a fucking rap because they never got back to me. So, but that's why I'm like, sometimes I think about people like Lynn Manuel Miranda and I'm like, I could do it. I could sing. I mean, you can always like learn how to sing. I'm not, you know, I'm not tone death. I just can't sing. You know, it's like when, and I think there's power in admitting that. There's only one Bella Porch. There doesn't need to be another one of us. I could just, she could sing and I can stand next to her and tell jokes. Like that's literally why I'm like, my strength is in being funny, not in singing. That's one of the few things in my head that I think is like a God-given talent. Like it's like you're born with it kind of thing. And then you can obviously hone it as time

goes on. Yeah. That's singing in front of you, especially if they're trying to like riz you at the same time. And they're pitchy on top of that. That sucks. Damn. Oh for two. Yeah. This next comment says facts bro how is pop music challenging to the listener what the fuck are you talking about what are you talking about david goggins i don't understand when challenging to the listener what is it a fucking quiz like what do you mean challenging i honestly think pop music has some of the most beautiful lyrics ever literally i also think that about reggae like island reggae specifically They have some of the most beautiful love songs I've ever heard. That's true.

And that's all in lyrics. So that's why I'm like, challenging. I don't know what that means. I really don't. Do you think your album's pretty challenging lyrically? I don't think so. I mean, they're straight to the point. Like, you can understand the lyrics.

Like, I'm not, yeah. Yeah, that's kind of how that works. Yeah, there's like a lot of artists too when, especially pop artists. Like, I grew up with, like, Lady Gaga and like, see ya. And I just remember listening to Chandelier and I'm like, damn, this is a great song. Yeah. And then when you actually read the lyrics, like, it's so dark. Like, I like that the lyrics are dark, but you don't hear that.

But you can't tell based off the melody and everything. It's very, like, relatable. Yeah, totally. And that's the whole point of art, right? So it can, like, people can relate to it. This one says, it's because music artists are running out of ideas to make a brand new song without the use of other great hits. New music could be dead by the next decade.

When people say shit like that and they like, they work at fucking lows, I'm like, why do you care? Like, you don't know shit about music theory. You don't know anything about producing. Like, you don't know anything. So they're like, it could be dead. And I think they're talking about samples. Like, are you a fan of samples in music? Like, when they sample.

I don't mind it. Yeah, I don't mind it either. I think you've done correctly. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. Sometimes it can be really bad. Yeah. Sometimes it's horrible.

Yeah. Like, I think it's very hit or, I think it just depends on obviously production and all of that. But most women, just for existing on the internet gets so much fucking hate it's like insane especially for men they're like just the way she's like zooming in on her face just pisses me off all right you're yeah it was it was it was it was yeah now i'm so much better at it like well and especially because um of how big you got how quickly like no one like i saw a tictock once of someone saying like that they understand why people

with platforms struggle and like have to take breaks or like public people and like public people in general because no one was ever meant to be perceived by that many people at one time. Like in the history of time that has never been the case until now. And so it is very hard to deal with being perceived by millions of people constantly. I talked to Chappell about that a bunch. It's very difficult to go through that. And even as someone like myself, I'm like, even someone like myself who I am known to be really mean to people who are rude to me for no reason, and they still do it.

It doesn't stop them from attacking me either. So it's like it really doesn't matter. That's why I tell people like if you want to make your art, if you want to make your content, you should just make it regardless because they're going to hate you no matter what, especially if you're a woman. So you might as well. Might as well just do it. And that's what you did in now look.

This next comment says, why is pop music exclusively not for straight men now? Huh? You can enjoy whatever you want. You just want to actively hate it. Are they just talking about like female artists? I'm assuming. That's why they're like, well, when a straight man comes that can compete in this realm, you let me know. And someone like you who are naturally are very shy, but you've been able to like push through that for the sake of your art, which I commend you for. It's very hard to do, especially on the internet.

what would you say is your best piece of advice for people who are maybe a little afraid? I mean, I used to be afraid. So, like, if you're scared right now, like, I feel like if you really want to pursue it, you should go for it. Because, you know, like, it's what you want to do. You know, you want to be able to live your dream. Like, I used to think there's no way I'm going to be an artist. Like, there's no way. But here I am now, like, putting out my album soon.

So it's crazy. Yeah. It's so exciting. Yeah. And there's a lot of, there's going to be a lot of things that's going to happen, like negative things. Like, oh, maybe like, you know, like maybe your label or something, like producers, you know, people you meet. Sometimes they're shitty. And that shouldn't stop you, honestly.

You should just do what you want. Amen. And it's like, I think that's like a Charlie X, X, X, X quote where she says they don't make statues of critics. So period, bitch.
