Shout out to every Tinder guy,
whoever had a fish in their profile that has liked me.
Don't.
Stop, please.
Why the fish?
I don't know.
Probably because they like killing things.
They like killing things.
They like colonizing.
It's what I do.
Hey, everyone, and welcome back to another episode of the comments section show,
starring me, your favorite, who cares about me?
On to the guest.
Today, we have my AAPI, sister, the iconic, the legendary,
Sasha Colby
Welcome
Aloha Caco
Aloha
Nice to see you girl
How's it?
It's good
It's going gray over here
I'm honored to have you
You've been highly requested
Thank you
I love that
My Yelps are working
Yeah all your requests
All your burner accounts
They're working
I got the message
Sasha okay fine
I've been chasing Sasha for a while
y'all but she is a busy queen
She's been running the world
for the past year.
So I've been chasing you for over a year and now look at us.
Yes, finally.
During May, AAPI.
What perfect timing?
I'm telling you, everything happens.
The universe is always working in my favor.
Our?
Our favor.
I'm honored to have you.
All of ours.
A collective hour.
I'm so happy to have you.
It's an honor.
I am like truly like fascinated and so at, like I admire your journey so much, especially
as a PI woman.
Thank you.
I love it.
I admire you.
I think you're amazing.
Thank you so much.
goddess he's goddess, you know what I'm saying?
Period. Real, recognize, real. I would love to
know a little bit more about your lore.
I'm very familiar, but your background
as far as like how you got into drag, like what
made you want to get into drag, all of that.
The lore of Sasha Colby.
I mean,
born already kind of
knowing that I was trans at
like five. You know, when they started
separating you at school
by gender. And I was like, why can't I go
with my friends? My girl.
The girl. He's born.
Yeah, I knew at early age, but I didn't have a way of expressing it or like, know what that was.
Yeah, totally.
Although there were so many examples, especially in Polynesian culture.
Absolutely.
There's so many examples of trans people.
Yeah.
Mahu people.
Everyone has a trans aunt here or uncle, you know.
Absolutely, Fafafina is very common.
Unwittingly, I, you know, was exposed to what Hawaii had to offer.
But didn't really, like, come into it until, I think.
good when I started dance.
I'd like
sophomore in high school.
What kind of dance do you love?
I did ballet, jazz,
hip hop, contemporary, modern,
tap.
So all of it.
All of it.
Every but Hula.
Yeah, they wouldn't let me
because I wanted to do Hula with the girls.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
That's a good point.
It's barely binary.
Yeah.
Right.
Ironically.
Ironically.
In dance, it is.
Yeah.
I think it was around that time
where I started just
performing as a dancer and learning dance and meeting my gay friends who are still my friends
to this day. They're all Hawaiians from Oahu and we all grew up in, well, we all grew up all over
Oahu, but our dance studio is based in Kaniohi. Love. Called 24-7 Dance Force Studio. Shout out.
Winward side. Winward side. I went to the University of Hawaii girl.
Period. I'm a rainbow warrior till I die. Period. Period. Oh my gosh, I love that.
Go Bose.
Go Bose, period.
We, I mean, it was 20, it's called 24-7, so I literally, it was 24-7.
Working, yeah.
And I was like, you know, there were the kids that their parents could afford it.
And then there were us kids whose parents couldn't.
So we were on scholarship, which meant we had to, like, do the front desk and help people sign in.
And then after each class, we had to clean.
Oh, we had to clean.
Cool.
Too.
I don't know we're talking about entire labor laws here, but.
I was going to say.
I was going to say.
But it was all for free classes, but we were also required to take everything.
So I think that really molded me because it made me be a well-rounded dancer.
Love.
I just kind of always loved performing.
And then, like, right around their, like, high school graduation is when I started, like, to see drag shows.
Love.
That was.
And sign me up.
Yeah, you were like.
You were like.
You were sold.
And you don't have to sing.
Yeah.
I know, can you sing?
I can't sing.
I can't sing for a reason.
I can't sing for shit either.
Well, I'm like, we only saw someone in the world that didn't get hit with that gene.
I'm just saying.
I'm pissed.
I mean, I'm upset about it.
Yeah.
Can you O'Lello?
I mean, I'm not going to disrespect my ancestors right now.
I know, that shit's hard.
Arguably harder than singing.
When I was going to University of Hawaii, like, it's a requirement that you take a Hawaiian studies course when you go.
And so my Kumu was like, first of all, came to school barefoot every day, period.
Love that.
And then second, he could Ollello so he would do it all the time for us, which I'm fascinating.
Yeah.
And it's powerful.
Yeah.
So when you got into drag, like what other than the fantasy of it all, pageantry or like, or the attention, which we all love attention, right?
I mean, you have to do this.
I mean, you have to love attention to some extent.
Like, what drew you to drag?
Like, what made you want to, like, really, like, commit to it?
I think drag, just because its origin is based on a fringe art form that was created for people who were not allowed in everyday spaces and weren't allowed to be.
And so we made this safe space for us to create and be and express, and it got so popular now.
You know, it's such a cultural phenomenon, this little queer thing that is now for everyone to enjoy.
That's the thing that really excites me is the fact that you could be anything you wanted to be, even if the world said you couldn't.
Yeah, absolutely.
And obviously you're on drag race.
Obviously, everybody knows that.
And I'm curious, like, how was your experience on drag race?
Did you have fun?
Because most of my friends who have been on there, they're like, oh, great.
girl, you couldn't pay me to go on there again.
Well, I have a good time.
Spoiler and fun.
He's had a great job.
I'm not dramatic.
You're right.
The ones I talked to did lose, so.
I'm kidding.
I love you.
You guys know I love you.
I mean, but like, for real.
It's hard, though.
It is hard.
It is hard.
And I don't know.
I felt like Regina George where, like, everyone's, like, going crazy at the end.
Yeah.
And, like, she's just standing.
still.
You're chilling.
I was chilling.
I was having fun.
No.
I mean, but I mean, there's so many aspects, you know.
There's the competition part of just like being good on the runway, doing good on the challenges.
Then there's like a reality show of you bear your soul, cry, like giving your trauma right now.
And then there's like you, like yourself.
You're like your hugest.
Like most authentic.
Like you're like your hugest obstacle.
It's to get out of your own way
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah
You know, this is such a crazy competition
It's a social experiment
Yeah, that's actually a really good point
It is
I've never seen a reality show
Where you have to do everything
You know, like one day you have to cook
Literally
The other day you had to like, I don't know
You know, design
And then write a song
And then be funny
And it keeps you on your toes
And I really just
Prepare to be unprepared
Right
Like prepared so hard
Whatever I could
Yeah
Because I do have control issues.
What's your son?
Leo.
Oh, period.
Yeah.
I'm a Virgo.
Are you a Virgo cuss or are you just pure Leo?
I'm like a Leo cancer cuss.
Oh, okay.
July 26.
Okay.
Yeah.
I have my cancer moon.
Me too.
Look at us.
I mean, the sun and moon literally rule me.
And then my rising is Libra, so I need balance.
That's why you're so chill.
There it is.
My man's a Libra.
Yeah.
My man's a Virgo.
Look at us.
We're each other's man and woman.
for each other's partners
I love that for us
I love that connection for us
look at us
when I had Bianca Del Rio
we were talking about
drag race
and I was like
it feels like
American Ninja Warrior
but you have to look good
I mean
there's enough padding there
yeah
you have to make your
equal like to cushion a fall
right
to do it in full beat
would you do All-Stars
yeah
All-Stars
oh-Witters sounds fun
Trixie told me
All-Stars it's like
you know come back and do it
but this time everyone's famous and has a lot of money.
Yeah.
So try it again.
Do everything again, but everybody has the same, like the living,
but everyone knows what they're doing.
Exactly.
That's the funny part.
Like, that's why it's still the original is so good,
because just watching.
Yeah.
Just watching people squirm.
Oh, so fun.
It's exciting.
Yeah, it is.
We're so quick.
You know?
We're so funny and quick.
What's been the coolest thing that's come out of, like,
drag race and like, obviously you've had like this huge,
huge explosion.
Like, what's been the coolest thing
you've done so far?
Oh, the, like, the nudes and the DMs.
No, I'm kidding.
That's pretty sick.
Flex, no.
The coolest thing, I don't know,
there's so many things I got to do this,
the year of my rain, I guess you could say.
Period.
I'd call it that, hell yeah.
Absolutely.
Not me, baby.
Yeah, I got to do a lot of things.
I got to do a lot of things for, like,
our Native Hawaiian Foundation.
I got presented with the Trailblazer Award, which was really cool to be acknowledged by my community.
Yeah.
By the culture that I love.
Yeah, absolutely.
Got to make a music video, make songs, do a tour, make a ponytail.
I was going to ask about culture too because obviously we're both Polynesian queens.
Look at us.
And as far as like your culture, I know you're someone who I admire especially because you make it.
a prominent part of your platform as well is to talk about your culture and who you are where you
come from and I'm curious how that experience has been like because in my experience too like I'm like the
first time when people a lot of people meet in these spaces and they're very like I've never I've never
met someone like that yeah I'm like well you ever been like to a football yeah I'm sure you've ever been to a rugby
man yeah I've been there too bouncing outside the club club?
in Los Angeles? Yeah, I'm out there too. Those are us too. Those are my people. We're here.
Yeah. So I'm curious how it's been, how that experience has been for you, like kind of being the
first Kanaka woman in most spaces, especially in the entertainment industry. The interesting thing is,
you know, I look pretty ethnically ambiguous. I'm not what you think a native Hawaiian person
looks like a Kanaka Modi looks like. My dad's from Hawaii. My mom's half, Hawaiian half white.
So, I mean, there is a lot of Kanaka in me.
I mean, to be honest, when I grew up, it was like blonde hair.
These eyes are green and I was fair skin.
My Hawaiian name is Iliquia, which means fair skin one.
And I was teased.
Yeah, they just say, you white.
They're real on the nose, aren't they?
But they say it's so pretty.
Yeah, it sounds pretty and you're like, it means white skin.
Okay.
That's what it means.
White one.
But I got picked on a lot for being holly or not looking like.
Looking Holly.
Yeah.
And it was,
you know,
it was hard.
And it was like an identity crisis
also being queer and trans.
Totally.
Not knowing,
being so othered
in so many intersections.
But now being the spokesperson
for a group of people
that told me I wasn't valid
to represent them.
I am now.
Get to.
Yeah.
It's pretty funny.
Yeah.
It's ironic, isn't it?
It is fun.
Yeah.
It's strange.
When the bottom is like,
oh, sister,
you did good at?
Yeah.
Would you have said that to me?
a while ago.
That's crazy.
You say that.
My mom's half someone.
My dad's full.
Same.
Yeah.
It's a very strange situation to be in when you're growing up too.
Because part of the reason why I went to the University of Hawaii, like other than, because I had other like final schools, but I chose that one specifically because I loved like the program and everything that I wanted to enroll in.
But mostly I wanted to be closer to culture.
Yeah.
And I wanted to like be closer to my own people.
Learn more about my own people.
Like I was like, this is it for me.
Like I'm going to go and learn so much more.
And I did.
But I do understand that feeling of feeling othered within our own communities.
Oh, yeah.
Because that's happened to me too, naturally, especially as women, too.
And you're obviously as a trans woman.
It's like another situation entirely.
So it is very weird.
It's kind of funny.
It's a sweet redemption.
Yeah, you end up being like, it's almost like you circle back around.
So then you come back and they're like, oh.
Yeah, they're like, oh, I love.
Oh, do you want your $200?
Do you not PESCO?
Yeah, they're very, it's very strange feeling.
I totally relate to that.
It was strange.
Like, I had to actually just shed that, you know, that history and that trauma.
Same.
And let that go and receive, like, oh, when I got to go back home for Hawaii Pride, it was Honolulu Pride.
Yeah.
I got to be the Grand Marshal.
Oh, my gosh, I love.
You know, I performed at the Waikiki Shell, which is incredible.
Yeah, totally.
There were so many people there.
I bet a lot of the concerts there at the show.
Yeah.
Yeah, you know, nature, raja.
Yeah.
And seeing so many generations there, like, seeing the old gray hair kupunas and aunties and all the way to, like, kids.
And just seeing, they would be proud of little old me, the Mahou.
Pretty cool.
It's such a wonderful, I feel like, representation.
Like, you represent so many different marginalized groups all in one.
I admire you so greatly for that.
But I also think it's a beautiful thing that you're.
Paulnician too because we never get any recognition past the rock they're like that's it yeah it's the
rock and jason mama that's it's the only two now it's mean sasha bitch include us you cast us as the rock
we could be the rock and jason mama totally i'll be the rock you be jason mama yeah sure now we can do me like
a crime fighting duo you know you know they're just like i need a big brown guy
now you can think of me and if you need a a beautiful ambiguous
A beautiful Kanaka woman.
Here we are.
There we go.
We're set.
Like, look at us.
We're setting them up already.
Okay.
TM, by the way, if anyone wants to make one of those.
We can remake that movie Twins, like with Arnold Schwarzenegger.
And Danny DeVito.
I'll be Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Let's gentrify it.
Oh, my God.
We'll re-gentrify twins.
Oh, we'll, like, still make no-yles it.
Yeah.
But it would just be the two of us.
That's like, I'm curious to, like, when you go into these entertainment spaces,
it's like very
I feel like especially in the beginning for me
well me especially because I'm just a dickhead on the internet
but like when I would go into these spaces other than just being an asshole on the internet
I was also like the only
Polyesian person ever
and I feel even during AAPI month
sometimes it's a little frustrating because they're like AAs and Drew
yes
PI check just Drew
so when you're not there I'm there
Yeah.
That's like we're filling each other's spot.
Pretty much.
They're like, we only have two.
We have to round rob and then.
The other one.
Yeah, what's the other one's name?
Drew?
Get her.
How's that been for you?
Have you noticed that?
Yeah, I was just talking about this with Al-I. Carvalo.
I love her.
We just did something for, yeah, we did something for Peak Foundation.
Oh, that's right.
I saw.
Yeah, it's for, more so for the PI.
Yeah.
For the Pacific Islanders, Pacificas, in entertainment.
And we talked about being the only, you know, Canacas in the room or being the only Polynesian point of view in so many spaces.
Totally.
Getting othered, getting stereotyped, you know.
Especially I think for, like, not just Hawaiian women, but for a lot of AAPI women in general, in films, you know, you're just relegated to being like the femme fatale or like very sexualized, very surface.
Totally.
There's no soul, and it's almost like the temptress that you have to avoid.
Yeah.
Or, there's no, like, nuance or death.
Yeah.
And there's so much strength in a Polynesian woman.
There's so much strength in, like, I mean, all the Polynesian women I know grew up with.
They are, like, the pillar of strength.
I also think that those are a lot of the stories that I have yet to see be made, you know?
Absolutely.
We have done so many video games and comic books and redone.
movies over and over again, but there's this
untapped, like, lineage
of all this mythology, all these
stories? I think that all the time.
Especially in Hawaiian culture, especially.
It would be so good. Yeah. I would live.
If you got Casas Pelle? I mean.
Oh, girl.
Make it happen. The way I gave myself chills.
Me being excited immediately.
That's what I, you're so right. And it's like,
it's very frustrating too, I feel like, because
even when they, it's like with good intention that they approach.
And then when you bring it up to them, they're like, ugh.
Yeah.
Do you want to be there or not?
Yeah.
And it's like, well, yeah, but not like that.
Like, I do want to be there, but not like that.
I recently actually got reached out to, I won't say who it was, but it was like something
for AAPI month.
But when they sent me the pitch, I was like, okay, like, I'm open to it because they
were like, they're an organization.
And I was like, okay, when they sent me the pitch for what they wanted for me,
it was only talking about Asian Americans.
And I was like, okay, maybe I should have been more clear.
Like, I want to talk about my people.
Like, I don't want to talk.
I can't speak to Asian American experiences.
I just can't.
And they were like, well, yeah, but we are like Asian American focused.
And I go, okay, then hit up another bitch.
Yeah, you should get.
Go ahead and hit someone else up then.
And I literally had to say no because I was like, they just kind of refuse to meet me in the middle at the very least.
I was like, okay, I'll mention that, but we should, if I'm talking about it.
I should probably talk about the PI part of AAPI.
Yeah.
And it's a little, it can be very frustrating sometimes during the month of May, specifically.
You know, May and June are pretty rough for me.
I'm just saying.
I'm going to say you got your working two months in a row, bitch.
When I talk, when I like obviously met Bretman and we became friends, I was like telling you a girl in May, we're going to clean house.
They're going to hit up the two of us.
That's when you get all of that.
You mean Sasha.
You can be ready for June.
for all the pride.
Yeah, and he was like, well, yeah, mine's May and June.
I was like, okay.
Yeah, yeah.
Sorry.
My bad.
May June and July is my birthday.
Look at you, Miss Leo Queen.
You go busy three months ahead.
I do.
I'm really excited.
Absolutely.
How has been your journey on social media specifically?
Were you a big social girl prior to drag race or anything like that?
Okay, so I'm going to be 40, so I don't really know too much about the, I
I'm not like, you know, I remember Facebook.
I remember fucking friends or, okay?
My space.
Social media is an interesting,
uh, see to navigate, as you know.
Yeah.
And I don't know, sometimes my ego may not be able to,
maybe a little too fragile sometimes.
You think?
That's that cancer moon girl.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And then the Leo really needs some like gratification or some recognition.
So.
Yeah.
I tell myself a lot.
You know, if you're scrolling, searching for those good comments, you have to be okay with the bad ones.
And some days, you're not.
And so I just kind of put it down.
Yeah.
Trying to enjoy life.
But I do like just, you know, scrolling through my friends and seeing my friend and stuff.
Yeah, totally.
Because I was curious.
It's kind of hard, though, when you're, like, pop up on your own algorithm.
You're like, I'm good in that picture.
Oh, my God.
When did I do that?
Sometimes I see stuff and I'm like.
like, I was there?
What was I there?
I was like, what's the fuck?
It's a, yeah, I have my short term memory is absolutely shot to hell now.
Well, you know.
Yeah.
We need it.
To do this, we need that girl.
We're, I'm a green queen till I die.
Mama, sorry.
You don't want me sober.
It's forever, it's in everyone's best interest.
It's in everyone's best interest.
And also about your local girl, obviously, an 808.
Love that.
how has life changed at all going back home?
You know?
Fortunately, no.
That's good.
Yeah.
Brevin told me the same thing.
He's like, I'm not shit to them over there and I was, and that's not like it.
I was always a shit to them.
In that way, it never changed.
No.
But, like, it's still the same, like,
there's still the same family and friends that I have,
my chosen family, all the trans girls on my sisters and aunties and older trans,
you know, icons and legends.
I look up to. We all get together every time I'm home. We have a huge barbecue. Love. And it's like four,
five generations of queer people. Oh my gosh. That's so beautiful. And just knowing that like, you know,
we spend our whole lives together. And I don't think a lot of queer spaces or queer cultures are
blessed enough to have that. And it's really special for us, PI people. Period.
I know in a lot of Pacifica cultures, there's space and community that the girls get to, the dolls get to doll.
Yeah, period.
And I love that.
And I've seen that.
I feel too, like I felt this even when I was in college and living in, when I lived in Hawaii for a while, that the community and the warmth, the attitude towards Mahu women in general or Fafafo Fianis in general in Polynesia is much different than it is on the mainland.
Yes.
The attitude towards them is so loving and warm.
And it's normal.
It's very normal.
It's not weird.
It's not like uncomfortable.
Obviously there are outliers like people who are just bigoted naturally.
And that's something like fighting internally.
Bigoted naturally but secretly adoring.
Yeah, yeah.
But secretly D.L.
Yeah.
Mama.
They love the dolls on my closed doors.
I always have this saying.
Do you like bacon?
You can smell when bacon's cooking, right?
Yeah.
Okay.
If you like it, you can smell it a mile away, baby.
Do not try it, baby.
You just love a bacon and you like it, baby.
I'm sorry for you.
You're literally, like, genuinely, you're like, you're not fooling anybody.
You're not.
You're not fooling me, girls.
Yeah, they love the dolls behind closed doors.
I mean, how do you think every doll is made from somebody's dad?
You didn't just come out looking like this.
Amen.
One of y'all daddy's made dolls.
Happy fathers today.
Even with all my trans girlfriends, like, they're always like, you would be shocked.
Shacked.
And especially in entertainment.
My goodness.
How many men fuck with the dolls?
Baby.
They love the dolls.
And they just, like, don't have the fucking nads to do it publicly.
Yeah.
And it's like, don't worry, baby.
We don't want you to know that we would cheat.
Yeah, same.
Same, same, same, same, same.
I don't need all that.
Oh, I don't need anybody to know that I'm talking to.
Yeah, don't tell anyone that I'm talking to.
That's embarrassing for me.
When I was in Hawaii, like the love and warmth towards Mahou people in general is something I wished was always here.
Like it's and that's why when I've talked about gender as a construct before on my platform, I've talked about how like prior to colonization, like my people did not adhere to a gender binary.
There was no thing, no such thing.
Like there was no gender roles.
There was no like you man do this, woman do this and only two.
Like that's not how it worked in my culture.
That's not how it worked in yours.
No.
My sister and I were just talking about this the other day that like our understanding of Mahu people or Fava Fines was completely different.
Like that was not something that was ever othered in my home and my family.
Like it was very normal.
Also like I think especially like in like non-Pacifica cultures.
I think it's very much sexualized too.
Totally.
Like here in the mainland.
Yeah, totally.
The continental U.S.
Like you know, it's just fetishized.
It fetishized so much.
But it's just, you know, because how.
women are treated in society, you know, and men, from my personal experience, tend to treat you in how much they would like to fuck you, right?
And they have a gauge, and especially if all of a sudden you're a trans person and they already gauge your number.
It does something to them.
It does, yeah.
And it gets weird or violent at worst.
Yes.
And it's even when I came online, like I started like seeing a lot of hate towards trans women because I've defended trans women and I'll defend them until I die.
With my platform, I continue to now.
It never made sense to me.
Like it genuinely I could not conceptualize being angry at trans people literally at all because that's not how I grew up.
It's so confusing to me even to this day.
I'm like, why are you so mad for?
I'm not worried about you and your dockers.
For real.
For real.
Why don't you mind your white business is what I always think.
Get out of mind.
Don't you have a boat to clean or a fish to hold?
Fucking, don't you have a river to go to?
Shout out to every Tinder guy who ever had a fish in their profile that has liked me.
Don't.
Stop, please.
Yeah, girl.
What is that then diagram, right?
Why the fish?
And the whites, that's a circle.
I don't know.
Probably because they like killing things.
they like killing things
they like colonizing they love to colonize girl
they're gonna go all over the place including in the animal world
they're gonna go colonize over there too
I'm gonna kill all these fish
oh let's talk about that
about how fucking gross men are dude
in the last few days it's been a while
because I've been kicking the shit out of men for a minute
so like a lot of them know better now
they avoid me actively which is smart
and they don't do very many smart things
but the past few days I've had
I love dogs
the past few days I've had a
real influx, like they're kicking shit up again and it's new. It feels very like two years ago
to me. But when they're coming back, I'm like, you know, it's, I missed y'all. I miss y'all being
mean to me. We're trying to be, yeah. I was like, let me warm up. Let me stretch. Let me go
take care of this and I'll come back. I'll revisit you. Yeah, they're pretty awful. Do you get a lot
of hate for men? I mean, like straight men. Yeah. Yeah. Or I don't know if they're straight men or
bots or yeah yeah I get a lot of like I should remember women really yeah yeah like transphobic
women yeah like turf's their boyfriend or husband probably fucked a trans woman and not even mad at every
chance yeah or they caught him watching like the dolls yeah jealousy it's ugly it's ugly it's ugly
I was fighting turfs I fight turfs all the time too they they post me the fuck off sometimes they
sometimes they sneak past security on my place I'm like oh bitch you better get out of here
It's the fuck out of here.
Because I don't like when they're like,
oh, I'm a huge friend of you.
No, you're not.
Stop right there.
You can't.
You can't be.
You're not a fan.
I don't want you as a fan.
Get out of here.
When I get hate from women,
it's very, like, annoying to me because I'm like,
a girl, I'm on your side.
I'm on your side, bitch.
What are you mad at me for?
I'm on your side.
Same with you.
A win for trans women is a win for all women.
Yes.
So, and if trans women are being attacked,
it's only a matter of time before it comes to cis women, too.
You know, and we've seen it.
Absolutely.
And it honestly leads into our topic for today,
which is like talking about breaking down mainstream society's insistence on a gender binary, right?
And why bigoted people online are so afraid of fluidity or anything that exists outside of a binary,
which we've already talked about as a consequence of colonization and white supremacy.
Talked about that a lot.
And I feel like online, it's like a tale as old as time, which is like they get real brave.
Oh, yes.
Because it's online.
Yeah.
And I feel like because you're a local girl, I feel this about you.
Like local girls got that dog in them.
You know what I mean?
And I feel like they take that seriously.
That's how I feel about me too, where it's like, it's because you can tell I'm with the shit.
Yes.
Like you won't ever come.
Because sometimes people ask me, do people ever come to you in person and like talk shit?
No.
No, girl.
And they know.
You know why?
Because they know.
They sense that about me.
And I sense that about you.
The fear.
Yeah.
You got that dog in you.
I mean.
If need be.
You will.
She has come out.
That's our topic for today, but I'm going to read some of these videos.
So in this one, this isn't on the street style video.
They're interviewing students at a college, and they're asked what their pronouns are.
And their response include a guy with bleached blonde hair and skinny jeans.
I like how my producer wrote that.
Thanks, Amanda, saying, I don't do pronouns.
I'm a man.
And then someone else saying, I don't have any.
I don't believe in them.
And someone else saying, I don't do pronouns.
I'm just what you think.
Okay.
Well, if you called him a she.
her, he'd get real mad.
I love when they're like, I don't use them.
I'm like, you just did.
You just said the word.
Yeah.
They're like, how do I know what to call them if I don't know what they are?
You just said it twice.
It's just grammar.
It's not I don't believe in it.
It's not a religion.
It's grammar.
It's words, girl.
They're words.
Words make sense.
It says hurt people.
I've thought before too when people freak out about pronouns.
I always think, do you know how like, how, like, how
bigoted you have to be consistently for it to be hard for you to not do that you know what I'm saying
like they're like well what am I supposed to do now just stop being awful I think it's pretty easy like
I just like to normalize calling everyone day and them and having you know totally like cis people
correct me tell me what you want to be called oh my mom honestly one time I had someone say that it was it was
fucked up of me to call someone a bitch because
I don't know like they're like
I'm not a I'm not a girl
I was like a bitch is a genderless term
you ugly bitch
A bitch is like a noun
A verb
Truly that's a genderless term in my vernacular
I'm gonna call anybody a bitch
derogatory or not
I'm gonna be real mean to you regardless
So it's also like and I was like
And here you are acting like a bitch so what do you call that?
Okay so the comments on this video
this one says what you don't understand is that this is the views of 90% of the world the mentally
ill progressives are just loud okay I mean I am mentally ill that is true I just love the 90% like
what they call yeah did you Google that did AI tell you yeah sometimes I'll say what's their gender
yeah why did you get that stat girl I was like show me a study I want to see it what if the AI is trans
what are you going to do then what
Oh no, are you going to listen to it?
What if the AIs are them, then one?
Non-binary, then what's going to freak the fuck out.
You know what's funny is 90% of the world has been colonized, I would argue that.
I would say that.
So yeah, I'm sure there's plenty of you all over the world in places you're not supposed to fucking be.
That's for fucking sure.
Do you ever wonder, like, when you go to Hawaii, like, or we go back home, sometimes if I'm, like, if I'm with friends and they're white or whatever.
Don't worry they're with me.
Oh, girl, the way that they burn in that sun.
Oh.
Okay, so my boyfriend is someone, too, and him and his brother have two different dads with the same mom.
And my boyfriend's, um, off course he would have just like half.
So he's, his mom's white.
So they share a white mom.
They have two different dads.
And thankfully, their mom is beautiful because both of their dads are ugly as fuck.
But anyways, that's besides the point.
So his brother is white.
He's like blonde hair, blue eyes, but he has the same face.
And they're like, it's strange.
We took, he went to Hawaii with us for the first time last year.
The way that bitch was lobster fucking red after two hours.
I said, girl, put a shirt on.
My sister was like, put a shirt on and go in the ocean.
He's like, I can't.
But he like refused to wear one because we were all.
I said, babe, my skin's built for this.
Yours is.
Sunscream, my love.
No amount of sunscreen in the world, girl.
Especially when I took him to the west side.
We went to the west side.
That sounds different over there.
It's a different.
And that lasts long.
Yeah, and there's no shade.
No, not one tree.
No one tree.
No one tree.
It's our white like family member
crowd counterboards over with us.
Oh my gosh.
They were like, do you guys.
They were like, with the padeo and like an umbrella.
They were like, did you, they're like, did you guys bring?
The wind is just blowing.
They were like, did you guys bring umbrellas?
And we're like, no.
No, man.
Girl, no.
I'm sitting in the sun.
Are you burning in the water?
Yeah.
The point is to sit on the sand and, and, and, like you're in a toaster of it.
See, I'm not, I'm not a sitter.
No.
I'm like a spinner.
Like I'm a stander around her.
Are you?
Yeah, like a lazy Susan.
Like just constantly, yeah, moving.
You're rotating?
Yep.
Are you trying to even the tan or is that just because?
Rotissory trance.
You got to cook evenly on all sides.
Coco butter flavor.
I can't.
Especially in Hawaii, too, I wear one big t-shirt, my bathing suit.
Yeah.
Bring one bag.
That's it.
One bag.
That's it.
The same swimsuit all the whole time because you go on different tan lines.
Exactly.
Yeah.
One with the ass out too.
I mean.
Get a nice good tip.
Oh, I have a whale stamp tramp thingy over here.
Oh, I love that.
Oh, you do?
I do.
I love that.
I just got a big back tattoo, like a big tribal down my back.
I'm excited for the summer.
I'm thinking about bringing it all the way down.
I love my culture, but not that much.
No?
Tetsuits.
Really?
I hate needles.
I can't do it.
Oh, you hand needles.
Yeah.
Even if you get really high and go, you don't think.
Or would you get too aware?
Worse.
You'd be too aware.
You think?
I don't know.
It's funny with my back.
So I tattooed like all down my spine.
It's so pretty, though.
It looks great.
I'll show you after.
Me just like pulling my top down so I can show you.
but I remember my tattoo artist he's someone too so he was like doing it for me and
girl the first like first of all when he was sketching on me because my artist like he free hands
so I just kind of show him the shape I want and then he'll use a sharpie draw it on me
show me in a mirror and I'll be like yep looks good and they just tattoos it on me like a real
fob and so love him love him he's my uncle love you bodie so when he was drawing on me
with the pen I said oh that looks big I was like that what he covering a lot of
It was stayed in air.
It's huge.
It's way bigger than I thought, which I love.
But when he first threw it, it was kind of hurting already.
And I was like, uh-oh.
The pen is hurting.
Oh, my gosh.
You can't imagine the needle.
And it hurts so bad.
I almost threw up.
But I didn't cry.
And I did stay awake the whole time.
But I did feel like I was being like strapped to a board,
leather belt in my mouth.
You know what I mean?
I mean, life has done enough for me.
I'm good.
And enough trouble.
But my point is the second session,
because he shaded the whole thing,
but then he had to do the gray shading,
which is the hardest part,
or one of the hardest parts.
So, like, when he came back the next day,
I was like, the thought of having to go through that again
makes me want to die,
but I was like, I could do it.
It's fine.
And then he brought me the numbing cream,
which I thought was bullshit.
Yeah, it works.
Yeah, it does work.
And so, but then when you have to wrap yourself
and so it can sink in for like an hour.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaking of rotisserie chicken,
like, my man literally had to saran wrap my entire body.
Because I looked like I was like,
come on, doja,
cat.
for real.
I'm like, okay, real original Doja.
Okay.
Real original did that already in my house.
It stole my look.
Bitch stole my look.
But the numbing cream works.
I was going to say you should try it.
But I did feel it, but it wasn't as bad.
Okay.
So it was like a nine before, then it was like a four.
I mean, that's drastic.
I think it's doable.
So if you're ever interested,
okay.
Maybe.
Are you thinking like traditional ones?
Do you like the traditional ones?
Or just all of them.
I don't know.
Can't do any of them?
I don't know.
I really,
don't know. I've been giving it that much time.
You're getting nervous. Like, I'm going to give you one right now.
Bring you now.
Okay, let me get back to this.
Okay, this one says, this is a loaded question in today's society.
If you think them saying, I don't have any favorite pronouns is worse than my pronouns
are they, them.
You're the problem.
He used them multiple times.
Yeah, quite.
Like, explaining his bigotry.
Oh, man.
I sometimes I think, I think that they think that they think.
think we're stupid. No, I know that they're stupid. And I know for a fact they're stupid. So it's kind of like,
I mean, like, it's one of those things where I'm like, you're so stupid. It's like, is it even worth it?
Yeah. Trying to explain it to you? No. No, not at all. When you see crazy coming at you,
you cross the straight. You don't ask any questions. You do not argue with crazy.
You're just, fair enough. You do what you're going to do. I'll be over here. Don't bother me.
Or if you live in LA, you just act crazier than the person coming at you. You have to. You out crazy the crazy.
You have to. Yeah. You just got to get real weird.
So we're like Last of Us
Or they're just like clacking,
zombie-fying.
You sound like a clicker.
Okay, and this next one, it's a skit video
where a college student
is reenacting a situation where he was at school
and he realizes he, he's lost on the first day,
finds a school TA, asks for directions,
the TA responds, I'd love to help.
My name is Ms. Smith and my pronouns are she, her,
what can I do for you?
And then his bio has got to respect the pronouns
and he's throwing up emoji.
Like he's basically saying,
this teacher is being inclusive and that makes me want to throw up.
That's the joke.
That's the joke.
I'll put my life on it.
This guy's white too.
I bet my life on that shit.
Okay.
This first comment says,
bro,
when my dumbass liberal teachers were asking us what ours were,
I said normal and they started bitching.
Like,
no one cares.
Clown emoji.
That's the hard part,
especially with like kids.
Yeah.
Wish the amount of deep programming we have to do to ourselves
from like the craziness that our
parents.
Yeah.
We put on a lot of kids.
Yeah.
A lot.
It is.
It is a lot.
It costs nothing to be more inclusive.
Like that's not.
We're educated.
Yeah.
That's like never a bad thing.
Like and it's also it, it lends towards why does inclusivity make you feel like your position
is threatened?
Like you're always included.
We're just kind of expanding it to include other people.
And even if you, you can't even really apply that to all trans people because trans people still use.
he him and she her.
I mean, technically, yeah.
We're still using the pronouns.
30 trans people are like, you know,
we prescribe to the binary.
We see ourselves as the other gender.
Yeah.
And then some are trans non-binary.
Yeah, absolutely.
You know, where there's that, you know,
there's a box to check off of what your gender is.
They may not want to check any box or both.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And it's like, okay, why do you care so much?
Yeah.
I still want to know where they care.
I have so much going on.
I don't have time to.
get in other people's business.
Yeah, well, I noticed happy people tend to not
care about what other people are doing.
Happy, fulfilled.
Happy, busy, you know, successful.
Fucked regularly.
Yeah, exactly.
I've made that joke too.
I'm like, yeah, see, like, if you were getting laid,
you wouldn't be acting like that.
You wouldn't be acting like that.
You would be way too tired.
You'd be like, actually, I guess I don't hate trans people.
Exactly.
I was just like lonely.
But let me see all these people, I would love them to drop their Google search or their porn hub search.
Girl.
I would love to see what they search.
Damning evidence.
Mama.
They'd be caught red-handed.
A bunch.
Yeah.
I was on the Drew Barrymore show like a week or two ago and they posted like a real clip of it.
And I got a comment yesterday from this guy.
And he wrote out this whole thing.
He's like, first of all, hate this girl.
Strong start.
Then he keeps going and then he's like, I bet this is the girl that like, she only goes for looks and like she only goes for tall men and she doesn't even get to know personality.
So she wouldn't even look at a guy like me.
I'm not kidding, like verbatim.
That's what it said.
And he wrote this whole thing.
And then I responded and I said, this is the most pathetic thing I've ever read.
I know you just clocked yourself out.
I was like, you're literally admitting that you're.
All the reasons why you don't like yourself.
I'm like that.
I was like, what the fuck?
Is this supposed to be read on me?
Like, same, I feel bad for you.
Shit.
Well, I'll look at me like, well, yes.
Yeah, and I was like, and so you're admitting I made that pee-p-wiggle a little.
Yeah, that's what I thought.
Sometimes that's what I'm like, you can call me a lot of things.
She'll never, ever look at me.
I love her.
She'll never look at a guy like me.
You're right.
I won't.
You can suck my dick.
Anyways, when I see shit like that, I'm like, you're telling on yourself,
them.
Yeah.
And I feel like men do that in your comments a lot.
Yeah.
You're like, you're telling on yourself.
You can call me a lot of things, but never ugly.
It is interesting.
It is interesting.
Especially when I do like big things like for like PBS or like the daily show.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Not my completely curated audience, you know.
So then here we go.
Here's the gauntlet.
Right.
The straights.
Yeah.
Where do they come from?
You're all.
You're not my target audience.
Please get away from me.
Only no.
That's how they act.
towards you too.
Mm-hmm.
Because, again, like you said,
bacon.
I can smell the bacon.
Yeah, you can smell it from my way.
Smolian culture in general.
Like beauty, like, what is considered beautiful to us is completely different
than what's considered beautiful to white people.
Like, Eurocentric beauty standards all.
Like, my idea of beauty in, like, women or men or whomever,
what your perception of beauty is is not mine.
Yeah.
So, like, it's the same thing with, like, build and everything.
like obviously polysia people are built very differently than any other minority.
So when they say things like, like, oh, you're just big and manly.
You goddamn right I am, bitch.
Well, you're weak and inferior.
Yeah, yeah, you goddamn right.
I am bitch.
And I would remember that.
I would crush you with my elbow.
Exactly.
I made a joke like that was because I've had some friends, like some of my friends who come on who are someone.
And I've told them, I was like, I could literally like, when they call me a linebacker or some shit like that, I'm like, you want to be built like a linebacker.
And you're telling me I am.
So you're envious of my build.
Thank you.
Thank you so much.
Yeah, thank you so much.
And I was like, and also like, they're like,
get this bitch back to like the Ravens or whatever the fuck.
Like I should be on the, I was like, you know what's so ironic is I could make the Ravens.
You couldn't.
I got those jeans in me, bitch.
And you'd still be watching me.
Yeah, again.
You'd be a fan of me again.
Have my jersey.
Another grown man's name on your back.
I can't relate to that at all, bitch.
And last names are really important in Polynesian culture.
Oh my God.
When you were talking about the 75 and 100%, every man in my family has our last name in Old English.
Okay.
And it's Kaka Oha.
It's a long-ass name across their backs.
Hawaiian names got a lot of K's and X.
I was like, let me get some tits before they asked me to put out my bag is.
No, ma'am.
You know, you ain't getting me, bitch.
Do you imagine?
Are you going to tattoo it on you and all?
Have you thought about it?
No, I'm good.
I'm good.
I'm good.
They know who I am.
You know, this face card speaks for itself.
I don't need that.
I think my dad has his last name tattooed.
He has all of our names tattooed on him too.
But yeah, they love a last name.
They do.
My uncle, my dad and uncle would be like, well, you have to when, you know, so they know your actual name when you get arrested.
What's what an idea is for
Oh that's the one
The car's hijacked
If I get arrested
It's for something big
We got bigger problems
If that's the case
Oh also this is something I wanted to mention
Because I love your laugh
And it's very similar
To a lot of people I know
And you know my life
You're very familiar
I'm sure you know
Because you've grown up alongside
Many Polynesians
But I've had a lot of people
Asked me about the laugh
Like especially white people
Like God bless them
But they're always like, the laugh is crazy.
Like, where's it from?
Lineage, girl.
Genetics, baby.
I've told people, I'm like,
Polynesian people all laugh like me.
Yeah.
Like, we all laugh loud and like,
it's our chant.
It truly is.
It's a call to arms for us personally.
That's how we find each other like sonar,
like whales.
You know what I mean?
Yeah, I said a chi,
Chi, Pono, out.
Yes.
And then Sasha Colby responds.
Aye.
Okay.
Let me read some more of these comments.
Okay, this one says, I just use whatever pronoun you look like.
It's your fault if you want to get offended when you're confusing the fuck out of people.
What?
Aw.
Like, he calls you she, her?
You're like, fish.
I mean.
Period.
You're like, so you're telling me I look good.
Yeah, do TSA.
Skade.
Okay.
Again, it's like, and also a lot of times, too, I'm like, the people who consistently complain about this shit, I'm like,
you are never
ever, ever, you are never going to cross paths
with a trans person, don't worry about it.
No one's going.
The trans community as a whole actively avoids people
like you.
You think they don't know where not to go, please.
Yeah.
Make it very well known.
It's pretty,
it's pretty obvious where we are not welcome.
Yeah.
That's why I...
And do you all want to follow us?
I know.
They go into yours basis.
That's what I'm saying.
And then that's why when they say
the shit about like the drag band
and they were trying to talk about kids or whatever.
I'm like, you don't give a fuck about kids, first of all.
But second of all, most drag queens hate kids.
So, like, they don't want to be near your kids, girl.
Hot take?
My drag is not for children.
Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
Most drag is not for children.
I don't want to read the kids.
I don't even want to read subtitles.
You know what I mean?
But I will read a bitch.
Yeah.
And come over here.
I wouldn't come over here if I were you.
I'll give you a different kind of reading, for sure.
But I mean, maybe like parents should read to their kids.
For real.
Why am I doing your job?
I didn't push that kid out of my Gucci.
You want all that mess.
That's your responsibility.
I'm fine.
I love you.
My family.
This is a hot take.
Are you ready for it?
I have like a niece and she has two kids, nine and ten.
Amazing.
They're on my phone.
They're my screen saver.
I love them.
I love you.
On FaceTime.
I was like.
I'm going to come and like hang out with them in Portland.
Like let me get a hotel.
Yeah.
I was stay early in like about 20 minutes.
It was 20 minutes.
They're nine and ten.
So now they're just yelling at each other.
Yeah.
And I'm like, I can't.
Then my niece, the mom is like completely zoned out.
Like she's at that level where she doesn't even hear it anymore.
And I'm like, I'm going to explode.
I called my friends.
I was like, I didn't need a two.
two like I need a two grammar
infuse
I'm standing in the rain
okay it has to be a lot
in my hotel room
for me to be outside
downtown Portland
in the rain
with all those crazy people
that's how
that's how much they were stressing you out
I am so happy I'm queer
I am so happy I'm trans
that's why I said
most drag queens
hate kids
okay bitch you don't have to worry about that
they're like don't bring your kids
I'm gonna be mad
if you do. I'm not letting you in my fucking show
if you bring those. Yeah,
I know, I feel I
kids are fucking stressful too. They're hard.
Yeah. It's hard to have a kid.
It's hard to have a kid. And you do it. You do what you got.
Especially you don't know what you're doing.
Let's be honest.
Oh, you can't Google that.
Do they think you're, they're fun aunt though?
Oh, I'm the fun aunt.
For sure.
Love that. Yeah.
That's kind of my vibes too.
Yeah.
My man and I have talked about that. I'm like, I'm cool with being an awesome
rich aunt.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, that's me.
I'm a godmother until I die.
I float in and out.
Yeah, and then when you start getting annoying, I give you back to your parents.
Goodbye.
Yeah.
Goodbye, going back home.
Love you.
I'll see you in three years.
I'll see you next Christmas.
Goodbye.
Yeah, I will.
Yeah, I'm going to give it a kick-ass gifts.
Yeah.
I'm going to hang out with you.
We're going to have fun.
Especially now that they know, they're like, Auntie, you're on TV.
And, you know, like, they're very aware.
They understand.
Like, the price, really.
range of their gifts that they were asking for.
Has jumped?
It's like a $400 range.
You're asking for like the Oculus like.
Oh yeah.
The VR thing.
Calm down.
How bad is reality that you need it virtually?
For you?
Oh my gosh.
My sister and I, we are both godmothers to our godson.
He's like our nephew.
He knows what I do to an extent.
But like I'm not shit to him.
Like he doesn't give a fuck like about me being because he's obviously known him since he was born.
But I, I, obviously, you know him since he was born.
But I, I do.
did a vidcon it's like this like online creator convention thing and the first year i did it like
he was going because mr beast was going oh yeah and so they had already planned on going and then my mom
was like oh hey like we're going to be there too like the girls are going to be there and we're like
yeah we really want to see him and his name's zane and he like told his mom who told us he was like i'll
let them know if i can fit them in oh okay um okay and he's like well i have a lot of mr beast
stuff to get to. I'm like, no, sure, sure, sure, sure. I'm your godmother, but no, for sure.
Just waiting for you. Yeah, I'm like, yeah, let me know if that schedule opens up,
player. I'll go ahead and see if I can come and meet you.
Pencil. Yeah, he's like, oh, he's like, well, I'll let them know if I can fit them in.
Even my brother, my brother, who's 19, like literally the other day, he was at my house
and he was just hanging out with me and my boyfriend. And then he's like,
I'm going to go home. We're like, okay, see you. And he's like, you know what? We should
hang out more, like the three of us. Like, just the three of us, we should hang out more.
And I was like, yeah, like, you're always welcome over here.
And then my brother looks me in the eyes and goes, I'll let you know.
You asked me, bitch.
Like, what the fuck?
You asked me.
What are we talking about?
I'm just calling me to tell you I'm not talking to you.
It's one of those things where it's like, we'll see something.
I was just saying that.
I wasn't like, I know.
And also I was just being polite.
Nothing is better than canceling plans.
You ever heard a small talk?
That's what that was.
And shit.
Yeah.
I was going to say, is your family humbling?
My family's extremely humbling.
Unintentionally.
Yeah.
My chosen family's humbling.
Yeah.
No, they're humbling.
And I honestly, I'm like, okay, period.
Like, I need that.
Like, yeah, somebody's got it.
Yeah.
If my own family's going to do it, okay.
Yeah.
No, for sure.
Yeah.
Sometimes I think, too, like, because I, like, have a someone family,
when men try to write hate on my shit
I'm like you're gonna have to come harder
than that girl
you're gonna have to try harder than that
baby I'm the youngest is seven
come on
come on now let's go
that's child's play for me
and that's the real tea
it's like how you said that
baby if you want to play
I don't think you want to play
yeah exactly
and it's one of it
even with most Polynesian families
I have a lot of Konaka friends too
they do not fuck around
We're like making fun of each other.
And also your chosen family too, like,
who invented reading, first of all.
All in love.
All in love.
You read the ones you love.
Within an inch of their life.
That's how you do that.
If you can take a read in heels, in the club.
Sweaty.
Maybe you still know your words.
I'm doing it.
Yeah, you can survive anything at that point.
It come right off and read right back.
And another thing.
Just to wrap this up, we talked about whole lots of stuff.
But first, I do want to know what would be your best piece of advice,
specifically for the PI girls, maybe who want to get into drag or get into entertainment as a whole.
And obviously, representation is moving in the right direction, albeit very, very slow.
But obviously they have someone like you now to look up to, like,
what would be your best piece of advice for them if they're looking to get into the world?
But maybe they feel a little lost or maybe not wanted in those spaces.
because there's not many of us, obviously.
Yeah, there definitely isn't a lot of us yet.
But I think for the, you know, any PI woman, you know, a queer person, anyone really,
any Pacifica person that is interested in entertainment, it's interested in, you know,
being part of what entertainment is, which is storytelling, right?
And, you know, as Pacific Islanders, that's what we are.
We're storytellers.
We remember it from our, you know, folklore and we make it into music and we make it into dance, and that's how we remember.
So when I think about doing drag, that's my form of being a cultural practitioner.
You know, that's my intention.
And I think when you are thinking about getting into entertainment and you think about even drag, like it's really about intention.
Totally.
Like, do you want to be in drag race or do you want to tell stories?
Absolutely.
And I find that when you, your intention is to do what we naturally have flowing through our veins.
That's when success comes and then it's what it's easy.
So just remember that.
Remember when you're dreaming to dream big.
And honestly, especially in the entertainment business, we have to start making our own stories, our own paths.
So I encourage not just, you know, wanting to go into acting and doing something that's famous or movie star.
But be behind the cameras
You know be the ones that make the stories
The producers
The screenwriters
Because those are the people that are in charge
Of making sure that those projects
Reflect us
And you can tell when there's a queer person
In the editing room
Or in the writer's room
You can tell when there's
You know I've read a script a while ago
And I was like
It sounds like it's right there
Being in Hawaiian
You know
Being local
But it's just a little bit of holly fight
Yeah
You're like it's missing
It's, you know, that brown gravy on the loco moco.
Yeah.
That Zippy's local local.
That Friday on top.
Yeah, yeah.
That Mac salad.
It's missing it.
It needs a Mac salad.
It needs an egg.
I'm telling you.
Need some kimchi fried rice from Zippies.
What's your order at Zippies?
Fried chicken and chili with cheese, rice, extra max salad.
That's a fire ass order.
You want to hear something funny?
Manko Safi who's like he's lived in Hawaii his entire fucking life and Samoa that's his order
I'm not kidding and you know I remember because I was like fried chicken and chili like when I first went with that
It's the best it's the best it's a cheese on top right smack salad
What's your favorite place to eat in Hawaii?
Local food or just food in general I mean you go to 7-Eleven you can fuck it up
Okay I've told people and this is controversial take it as as you want it is not controversial
The spam must be from 7-Eleven specifically yeah
Even the sushi and like the little bentos that they have heated, the Monapu, the pork hash.
Girl.
The 7-11 food is fire in Hawaii.
Fire.
Best pokey food land.
The grocery store.
Tea.
What poke do you like?
I like a spicy aloha or like a limu pokey.
Me too.
I don't love.
I'm not big of our meo.
Me either.
Spicy haji.
No.
Have you ever a kayak to China Manta?
No.
You never done that?
No.
You want to know why I did it?
white friends.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I was like, only white people
would go up with them sharks.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And we almost died.
So there go.
And I said,
you know there's sharks out there.
They're like,
well,
how much far?
Dude,
I'm not kidding.
What are my friends is like,
how far out can I go?
I'm like,
we don't go out.
You go side to side.
For real.
You know what's funny?
When my wife friend was like,
I think I'm going to swim there.
I said,
bitch,
you're not going to make it there.
What the fuck?
And my friend,
my one girl,
we're on the kayak.
We're on the kayak.
She's packing a bowl.
And she's not helping row, by the way.
She's just packing the bowl.
She's like, I'm busy.
I'm doing something.
Then we capsized, obviously, because we don't know what we're doing.
We capsized.
My friend was literally swimming and she was holding the pipe like this.
And she's like, guys, don't worry.
I saved the bowl.
I'm like, yeah, thank God.
We're about to drown and get hip.
My sharks.
Yeah, thank God.
We'll be high when it happens.
That's my girl.
She's like, don't worry.
I got it.
Save the bowl.
the amount of white people shit I did when I lived in Hawaii
see I've never hiked I've never
girl sailed I didn't do it that's all
oh that I didn't do I did do stairway to heaven though
No way, that's scary
Can you believe it?
And they were like you gotta go see the sunrise
Went up there fucking cloudy bitch
And I said this is what happens when I follow white people
See what fucking happens
Yeah what's the deal with hiking
Hey knock it off
Come on I don't want to do that
I sweat enough just sitting
I don't need to go walk and do it
Yeah
Where?
What are we hiking too?
When I was like walking up running the first, I'm like, where's the waterfall?
Hikes here?
Oh, this is it?
Oh, gee, the Hollywood sign.
Love that.
Oh, great.
A faucet that doesn't work.
Well, thank you.
Obviously.
On all fronts.
I was going through TSA like three days ago.
And this guy was looking at my boyfriend has like a really big tribal.
It goes up his neck and on his hand.
And he's like, you know,
I was thinking about getting one of those, like a Polynesian, okay?
He's like, I'm getting a Polynesian.
But I asked my homegirl, and he said she's someone.
And then he was like, I asked her if I could get one.
And she said, if I got it, my bloodlines would be cursed.
And he's like, and I don't want that.
And that's so funny.
That's so good.
Yeah.
That's not true at all.
I'm going to start telling you.
Sure, if you want to be cursed.
Yeah.
So I'll pass that to you in case you ever see anyone.
I love that.
I love that.
Just trying to get Kanaka tattoos.
Because that shit irks me.
Ooh.
When they're not.
Yeah.
The band.
The band's real popular.
Band.
Mm-hmm.
Yeah.
In like the 2000s.
Like if you were in the military on Kanioha military base with a bard wire and a tribal tattoo, you knew who I was.
You know me.
You know me by first and last name.
Trevor.
Carter.
Connor.
Conner.
Kyle.
Kyle's, yeah.
Yeah.
A lot of like Blake's.
Tanner.
Yeah.
I never developed a hatred quite like I had for military people specifically than when I was living in Hawaii.
Yeah.
They're gross.
They're weirdo gross.
They are.
Marines specifically.
Weirdo gross.
They are.
And they fetishize the fuck out of local girls.
They do.
They hunt them.
It's weird.
And they love the two girls.
They do.
They love the dolls.
They love the dolls.
And they're fucking psycho.
It's all of them.
All of PTSD.
The dumbest.
We're like just going to like Zippy.
and they're like, yeah.
I was like, oh my God.
They hear the voices.
Yeah.
Well, thank you so much for coming on the show.
