My husband thinks he has style and opinions now, but they were all just mine.
Me, literally me taking credit for it.
Everyone's like, oh my God, he's so stylish and cute.
I'm like, yeah.
You're welcome.
Literally me.
Everyone and welcome back to another episode of the Common Section show starring me,
your favorite.
Everybody knows me.
On to the amazing guest.
Today we have the one, the only iconic, the legendary, Bobby Burke.
Everybody.
I'm so excited to have you.
Thanks for having me.
It's an honor.
I'm a big fan.
Same.
Same thing, same.
Not of me, but if you.
Oh, okay.
I was talking about me.
I wasn't talking about you.
I wasn't talking about you.
I was like, we're meant to be.
That's unrelated to this, Bobby.
That is unrelated to this, okay?
What we talk about offline is no one's business.
Anyways, I am such a huge fan of you.
I'm so honored to have you on the show.
How have you been?
I've been good.
I've been hot, like most of the world.
Are you a sweaty girl?
I'm always a sweaty girl.
Me too.
I can be 20 below zero and I'll be sweating walking down the street with my ice coffee.
Oh my gosh.
You and me both.
both. Nobody sweats. How come nobody sweats but us in Hollywood? Oh, that's a little. Botox.
Just, oh. Okay. Okay. That's the secret. You know that can get rid of sweating? Yeah, I do know that, but then also,
like, it'll make you droopy sometimes if you do too much. What? Well, I'm also so curious if it's like
placebo or if it's for realzies because sometimes I hear people get it, but then they say it comes back.
It does because Botox wears off. So you have to keep getting it. Yeah, yeah. My husband's a doctor and
does it for people. Oh, period. Yeah, yeah. So it literally paralyzes your sweat glands. And you have
gotten it that seems like he doesn't love you very much because I just try to not go to places that
are hot I feel it yeah but you're just like it's so funny you say that because like I just went to
the streamies this past weekend and it's like obviously a thousand degrees everywhere especially in
LA recently yeah but the carpet was inside and I was like period I'm not going to sweat for once
in my life I won't be sweating on a carpet love that for me and then I go into like the room and
it's like 90 degrees like because it's enclosed there's no fans there's no wind
and there's thousands of lights and hundreds of people.
And so I was like, nightmare.
It's one of my favorite thing about Hollywood's is the carpets
because the world just sees everybody on the carpet
all glamorous and beautiful and all decked up.
But they don't see like at the Emmys,
Emmys always seem to fall on the hottest weekend in L.A.
And the red carpet's outside.
Always.
And what you don't see is if the cameras were to pan over,
you'd see a huge line of every celebrity in the world dripping wet,
assistants with fans like dabbing their faces, terrified.
And then they go on the carpet.
And then the moment they get off, like layers start coming off.
And it's just disgusting and so unclamorous.
I'm like an internet dighead.
So I don't have that luxury of someone fanning me.
It's just kind of me.
It's just me like with my publicist, my publicist going like, I'll get you a napkin.
Don't worry.
I'll get you napkin.
It's hard.
You know when you start sweating and then you realize you're sweating?
So you start panicking.
Yeah.
And you're like, oh my God, is it coming through my nine layers of clothes?
Literally.
And I was like in a sheer dress.
Like it was like completely see you through.
See, I find that this might be one thing that women do have it easier at, like on carpets.
You can wear dresses.
That's true because there's ventilation.
You're wearing like pants.
I guess I mean, I could wear a dress too.
That's true.
Jonathan's always like, I'm wearing a dress.
It's cooler.
He's like, I'm actually kind of chilly.
Yeah, I'm like, you're right.
I should not have worn this three-piece suit.
Stupid me.
My bad.
Jonathan's like, oh, it's cold.
I think the only time I didn't sweat on carpet was I covered the Oscars this year,
but that's because it was cold outside.
Yeah.
And everyone was like, oh, it's freezing.
And I was like, it feels good to me.
You know, this is one thing that might come out good from the strike other than, you know, fair practices and business.
Yeah.
But the Emmys will be in January this year.
There you go.
Burr.
So cold.
Burr, it's 60.
Oh, I'm so cold.
No jacket.
Completely nude.
Yeah.
I'm going to go sleeveless.
Just like.
Muscles.
Pace.
Three pasties.
There you go.
Lady Gaga.
All three the same size.
There you go.
Huge, huge, in fact.
Small.
It's all right.
Anyway, still my book.
Yeah, so your book.
Speaking of Paises,
you are coming out with a book,
which you can see right here.
Right here.
And it's called Right at Home.
Love that.
Tell us about your book.
So it's all about the intersection
of mental health and design.
You know, for years,
I've wanted to do a design book.
I've been approached to do a few different ones,
but design books, I love them all.
They're all great.
Everything has its place.
Everyone's book is wonderful.
But for me, I didn't want to just do like this pretty coffee table book
of these great homes that are perfectly edited and staged and gorgeous.
Because sometimes, like, they can actually make you feel bad about your own space.
Like you're looking at these beautiful spaces that you'll never be able to achieve
because most of those spaces are like perfectly styled for that shoe.
They don't look like that really.
And it makes people just kind of feel bad about their space.
Yeah.
I wanted to write a book that doesn't just teach you how to set your space up.
but teaches you how to figure out what makes you tick and the things that you need to put in your home based on what makes you happy.
I love that.
Because to me, design is about what makes you happy, not about what a magazine tells you your home should look like.
Yeah, absolutely.
Or even what I tell you are a home should look like.
Even though you are not at Celsius right before.
Even though you are an expert, I would say you are an expert at interior design.
I absolutely love your style.
Thank you.
I think that's so great.
And I think too, like that is something that people miss a lot with like,
the mental health aspect of your space
and how it like can play into your
productivity, your overall wellness
and happiness. That's a really good point.
Especially small things like for me
I just moved recently into like a new home
and I didn't realize like how little
natural lighting my other home got
because there were a lot of windows in my other home but like
I was like the one story and there's a bunch of two stories around me
so it's blocking a lot of the light and so
when I move into my new home there's it's so bright like everywhere
every morning.
Yeah I know I like feel I'm like
I'm like, why am I, like, so much happier?
Yeah, I wake up, like, snow white every morning.
Exactly.
It's just my dog.
But I think the natural lighting plays a huge factor.
Plus, like, I love to decorate and stuff.
But it's hard, like, especially when you're growing up and you move into new spaces,
you're kind of, like, learning your new style and, like, what you like, what you like.
Like, home decor is, like, a lot more complicated than it seems.
Well, one of the, I'm going to grab this here.
One of the first things we talk about is where to talk.
go.
It's
let the thing is
it says
let's normalize
not asking people
what their
aesthetic is
yeah
because like what I learned
from the show
that I'm on
that I can't talk about
right now.
Yep.
You know I would ask people
oh what's your design aesthetic
and like I remember
our very first episode
Tom was like
oh French industrial
and I'm like
looking around
I'm like really
like do you know
what French industrial is?
real is? And he's like, no, I just heard it once. I'm like, all right, that's what I thought.
So I started learning to ask people what their favorite things are in life. You know,
what's your favorite show? Like there was another hero. It's like, what's your favorite show?
And he's like, mid-century. And I'm like, where's your dream vacation? And he's like, Cuba.
I'm like also stuck in the 50s, like mid-century, you know? So I did all mid-century
furniture and I did this cool mural of a picture of Havana. And I did like banana leaf wallpaper in
the bathroom and he walked in and he was like oh my god every single thing in here just like brightens me up
and makes me happy and it like it feels like my home even though this i'm walking into this for the first time
he's like how did you get inside my head we didn't even talk about design like i talked about the things that
make you happy and those are the things you should put in your home because your home is like your phone charger
you know if you don't get your phone on that charger at night and it doesn't get fully charged it's going to die
the next day it's not going to make it through yeah same with you your home should be fully recharging you
and doing that by things that make you happy
that when you walk in, you smile.
Not you walk in, especially dysfunctional spaces.
If your home is adding stress,
it's not getting you fully charged.
Yeah, I saw something too.
I think my mom told me this a while ago,
because obviously, like, I work from home primarily.
So, like, when I was living in my old house,
I, like, worked a lot in my room.
Like, I always had, like, my laptop in my room.
I was worked on my bed.
Like, and my mom told me, like,
it was really hard for me to, like, sleep.
And, like, especially when I'm,
stressed and my mom was like well you can't work in your bedroom because like you're supposed to work
in a different room it like it separates it mentally so you know like this is for sleep this is for work
I think the pandemic forcing so many people to work from home kind of did a number on us because at one hand
we're like oh yay we get to work from home this is great such better quality of life yeah yes if you know
how to separate it but it got to actually where we were just always working yeah because there was not
that separation of space you're just like okay I'm just
working where when you go to the office like hopefully yeah when you leave the office
you done yeah that's you time yeah there was that lack of separation now that I think if we are
going to continue work from home which is great if not but you need to figure out how to define
that space like workspace yeah even if it's just you know a tray that you keep your laptop on that
you slide that tray under the bed oh yeah to where that that little moment that was your work you don't
see it anymore. It's gone. And so it kind of prevents you from being like, oh, it's going to work a little
more. Yeah. Let me check that email. No. No. This is home time. Like distinction. Yeah. I love that.
So how long have you been in like the world of interior design? Like two and a half years.
When did you like really? I was going to say. No way. But in the world of design. So before I had a
design firm, I owned my own furniture stores around the US. Oh, cool. So I wasn't designing, but I was
curating. You know, I was choosing all the things that were sold in my stores. I'd help customers
design their houses. So since about years. Okay. And you're 25. So like, he believed that?
Since I was five. I have been helping America decorate their homes. Working. And what were you
doing? Nothing. Nothing. Exactly. Yeah. You were just on the playground. Oh, God. And he was building
homes. Right. Exactly. Bob the builder. So when did you like kind of fall in love with like curating space?
or like interior design.
Yeah.
No, I'm kidding.
I was about five or six.
No, seriously.
Literally.
Literally.
I just guessed, I'm right.
You're right, you're right.
And this is the story I talk about in the book.
My mom had decorated my room with like all red, like red curtains, red bed spread, red rug, red pillows.
And it didn't feel good to me.
You're like, this is.
Yeah, I mean, I couldn't articulate that this color gave me anxiety, but I was just like,
this is not for me.
Yeah.
This is not my journey.
So I saved up all my little birthday checks I had gotten for my aunt and uncles.
And I got, I went out and I bought blue bed spread and blue curtains and blue pillows because
I understood that blue just, it made me feel better.
Like I liked it and made me feel more relaxed.
And again, I couldn't articulate these words when I was this little five-year-old farm boy.
But I just, I understood the power of color and lighting, you know.
At five years old, yeah.
Yeah.
Again, I couldn't articulate why.
I just, I knew the feeling.
Yeah.
You know, I knew the vibes were off.
Yeah, yeah, the vibe.
Girl, mom, the vibes are off in here.
I have to fix it.
So at a young age, like, I started thinking about those things.
That's really cool.
And then probably like around 14 or 15, I went, walked into Target and you know how they do those amazing collaborations with designers?
Yeah, yeah.
This was their very first collaboration they ever did.
And it was with the architect named Michael Graves.
Okay.
And I don't know if you've like this tea, tea kettle and this toaster and these spatula as like very like modernist designs.
Okay.
And I remember walking in and seeing like a spoon from the collection.
Yeah.
And before like spoons were just very utilitarian, you know, you use it just to shovel food in your mouth.
But I looked at the spoon and it made me smile.
And I was like, the design of this is cool.
Like I, I want the spoon because I want to like have something in my kitchen that I also like love to look at.
and not just something that's functional.
And it was that moment that I really started to realize that there were people out there
that were not only building things to make the world function better,
but building things to make you happy.
Yeah.
You know, and that kind of, I think, set me on the track of thinking about design and what I wanted to do.
Okay, so you said 14 or 15 is like, basically that's when you like kind of made the choice.
You were like, I think this is like where I want to go.
I wouldn't say I made a choice then because, I mean, I left home at 15.
There was no choice of career.
It was just like I need to eat and pay rent.
But it was something, it was at that time where I started thinking like design is something that I love.
Oh, cool.
And it wasn't until years later I fell into it.
I mean, I think it's so interesting because I'm like learning so much while you're talking.
I'm like, oh, that's so true.
I'm like, guys, someone get them a book or something.
You should write a book.
I think too.
Only recently have I been like getting into like interior design, but probably because I have
like a bigger home so I have to like you know decorate it and so and it's expensive furniture is
expensive and decor is expensive but it's really nice when you like head to goodwill head to the flea markets
you know a lot of times people are like oh I don't want to get you stuff why use stuff is great yeah
you know use decor is great because with decor like people get bored with decor yeah so they
donate it yeah can get some of the most amazing things for so cheap and it's less stuff that's
going to end up in a landfill yeah like offer up or a facebook marketplace or great
places to source.
Even like my friend Caleb, when he was on the show, he was saying like he sets his
zip code to like expensive neighborhoods and then goes there and buys from them.
Also, I mean, I used to what I was really hard up for stuff.
I would go to the expensive neighborhoods on trash day.
I would look online and I would figure out what day is trash day and you'd find the best
furniture on the streetcarry.
No, literally.
I'm all about reusing, reduce reuse recycling.
You know what I mean?
Especially when you're young too and you don't have that much money but you want to like
customize your own space and like decorate it.
how you like it.
Great resources for that.
Years ago, my friends and I used to do decor swap parties.
It was an idea I came up with.
Again, you get bored with stuff in your house.
And instead of going out and buy new,
because I definitely didn't have the money to back then,
my friends and I would,
you had to bring two items with you
and something that you were bored with in your house
and we'd all bring the items and we'd like swap.
Like, oh, I like that picture that you brought.
I'm going to get that.
That's so cute.
Be able to judge up our place without spending a dime
and we'd be drunk at the end of it.
That's so cute.
horseball party. That's so cute and so gay.
Yeah. That's very gay.
So gay. I love that.
I'm all about that.
That's so fucking, that's a genius idea
actually. Because people don't realize how much
like, especially when you move, you realize
like how much shit you like hold on to.
And you're like, oh my God, I don't even, I didn't even remember I had this.
Even when you swap out furniture and stuff, you're like,
no, I have these like tables and chairs.
It was always sad for the people though that went back with the exact things that they brought.
They're like, your things are really fucking ugly,
love you forever though.
Maybe step your game up next time.
Yeah, yeah. Bring better things.
Bring the things you actually want.
Get better taste next time.
How about that?
They get kicked off the fucking island.
They don't get invited to your decor swap?
You haven't done a decor swap party in a while.
I'm like, yeah, no.
I haven't.
The months.
Oh, that's so crazy.
That's so funny.
When I first moved in with my boyfriend, like, when I moved into his room,
he had like just one big bed
and then one lamp and that's it.
My husband just had a mattress on the floor.
No furniture.
No furniture.
Nothing.
It didn't have a headboard.
It just was like on one of those risers.
I would see that was far more than my husband had.
It was literally just a mattress on the floor.
And it was in the corner like pushed into the corner.
And so when I moved in I was like I really want to, first of all, hate it.
Burn it.
Let's start over.
But I want to like put the bed in the middle.
And he was like, why?
And I go, because I'm in my 20s and I don't want to roll off a bed
one in the morning because that's my side of the bed is the one where I just scoot to the end and get
off to crawl over and to go pee at night no like if you're in a relationship you're an asshole if
you shove your bed up against the wall unless like space wise it's absolutely necessary yeah but
i was like i'm not a teenage boy so i want you to put it in the middle so i can also get off the
bed like a yeah like an adult yeah and i was he's i told him i wanted to get end tables and like
a dresser and he was like what are end tables for and i'm like to put your things on
And he was like, like, what?
To put the fun things in.
Yeah.
He was like, like, what?
And I'm like, like, your phone.
Where do you put it when you charge it?
And he was like, on the ground.
And I was like, well, see, that stops today.
He sounds like a winner.
He is a winner.
You're like, I fixed him now.
Yeah, don't worry.
Same with my husband.
I shopped it out.
It's out now.
The key to it is, is to find them really rough like that.
And he can shine them into what you want them to.
There you go.
I'm all about it.
My husband thinks he has style and opinions now, but they were all just mine.
Me.
Literally me.
taking credit for it. Everyone's like, oh my God, he's so stylish and cute. I'm like, yeah. You're welcome. Literally me.
20 years it took me. Like, thank you so much. I love you, baby. Yeah, I take that. It's such a huge compliment. Thank you so much. That's what, well, the great thing too is when they're like open to it. Like they're super open to like, yeah, I'm cool with that. Let's try it. It's funny. I think within the first six months to a year, I strategically got rid of every article, clothing my husband owned before you met me. Just slowly. They were just all so bad.
Like what?
People were like oversized, like, cargo pants and oversized flannels and, like, horrible.
And I'm just like, oh, I don't know what happened to that.
I don't know how that fell out the window.
I haven't seen it.
I mean, I would replace it with cute things.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I kind of did that, too, a little bit.
I was like, at some point, I was like, how do we feel about throwing those in the garbage?
Thoughts?
You were nicer than me.
I would just be like, how do you feel about the fact that I threw those in the garbage?
I know there was one article of clothing
I can't remember what it was
but I was so like
okay let's go ahead and throw those in the trash
and then I eventually was like
please don't wear those
please don't wear those please don't wear those
I love you so much please don't wear those
there's a couple things that he's bought on his own
well he's a big fan of like scissors
like he's like oh I'll just cut them
and I'm like or or
we don't do that
like how about that like or we do something else
because you're not a seamstress
I'm not kidding like three days
ago we were going to the streamies we were buying an outfit he's like he has like a new like
style he wants to try which we love and so he like gets he buys these nice pants he gets them tailored
I'm like oh perfect and then he gets this shirt and he's like I really like this shirt but I really
hate the sleeves I'm like okay he's like it's fine I'll just cut them off huh huh no no in fact actually
no we won't be doing that I was like no no no funny thing is though
Were we talking about the
Yeah, like, we're talking about the sweatiness on air?
Yeah.
A few years ago on a carpet, I did wear a sleeveless white button down shirt.
I had the designer cut the sleeves off because I'm like, at least I'll have one less layer of fabric to sweat on me.
Strong as I will die.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So I was wearing like a total white trash, like sleeveless button down.
I love that.
I just like, you're not cutting it yourself.
Like, you're wrong.
He's like, I'm really good with scissors.
Are you?
Like, as are most people, because if you just do this, they cut.
I wouldn't say it's a skill necessarily.
I don't know.
I think cutting a straight line is a skill that some people don't have.
And it was like that, that, like, crochet.
And I'm like, baby, you think you can cut that?
And it's going to look nice.
It's going to be all woven.
It'd be, like, unraveled by the end of the night.
Yep, yep.
They went from sleeveless to just not there anymore.
It's just peels off.
Strings hanging out at the top of his pants.
Really, speaking of sweating.
I went to a premiere recently, and it was, you know,
two billion degrees and because I'm an internet
dickhead they make me walk at 12 p.m.
peaks on hour, love that.
And then I wore wig.
And I was like, you know, I'm going to get my Gettys
and I'm going to leave.
Like, I'm going to go into the air.
It'll be fine.
And I went and like my wig, like I was sweating so bad.
My wig was like sliding.
And like I have a widow's peak so it was hanging out.
And I was like, girl.
And I remember like, this is also the premiere.
I fell twice at, which is horrible.
And then the second time I fell, I like stood up
because I'm dripping sweat.
and my sister was with me
and she was like
dude your wig
because it was literally
on the back of my head
it was on the back of my head
every time I'm on a hot red carpet
and I see a girl in the wig
I'm just like oh my god
girl it's so hot
it's so hot under there
I sweat that bitch off so fast
it's because like my hair is so thick too
so like if it's under a wig
and I start sweating it poofs
and then it lifts the wig up
and then it starts slowly going back
and I kept like dragging it to the front
like all night I was going
all night.
My biceps were soared the next day
from like ripping my wigs so hard.
It's not fair.
I was like after this past weekend
I was like you know, fuck it.
I'm getting Botox in my scalp.
I don't care anymore.
I'm doing it.
Yeah.
I don't care anymore.
Do it, do it, do it.
I'm so tired of being the only bitch
sweating at those things.
I'm sick of it.
I don't think you're the only bit sweating there.
I didn't see one.
Everyone looked like it was like,
ooh, it's so cold.
Everywhere I went.
I'm like, are you?
Same.
Same.
Like, even then I was like,
when I went backstage because I presented an award too
they're like oh it's so cold back here
and I was like if anyone turns that air off
I will burn this building to the ground
you're like standing there like
Giuliani with like stuff dripping
up beside your face you're like
you're like you too
same I'm so cold
I wish I had a jacket
and I was like honestly I'd rather
be so cold that like my nipples are going to
poke through my fucking shirt
I'd rather be that
especially when you're like
being photographed from every angle
and interviewed
I have to vent about this like
I'll go to cycle
class and I'll walk in right before and the room is freezing and it's great.
And then there's always that person that walks in and they're like,
it's so cold in here.
I'm sorry.
Can we make it a little warmer?
I'm just like, bitch, you're going to sweat.
Like we're about to do a cycle class.
Like put on a sweater until you start moving, but they'll throw a fit and make them make it warmer.
And everybody else is just like, you're like, you want me to freak out.
You want me, you want me to have a mental break.
I can't do that in public anymore.
I went to Disneyland literally like two days ago and it was boiling hot outside.
It was horrible.
You never been to Disneyland?
And my family went like last week and I couldn't because I had work.
Girl, I'll take you.
Fuck your family.
And not on a hot day.
Just kidding.
Yeah, not on a hot day.
We went and it was boiling hot and like my friend slash agent Alex, she's sitting right here.
She's freezing all the time.
And she was wearing a fucking sweater.
I'm not kidding, the whole day.
And honestly halfway through I said, you're starting to piss me off.
Like you really are.
You're enraging me, in fact.
It's like Karamo.
No, for real, if you look back in seasons where we're filming in like, Atlanta in the fucking summer.
Yeah.
And we're all dying.
Like, I am bright red.
Jonathan's like literally one day, he literally passed out from the heat.
Like it was.
Because it's unbearable.
When I do those reveals, for some reason the air conditioner always breaks that day.
And so we're in there like.
Someone playing a trick on me?
Trying to be beautiful and happy and we're dying.
And one day, like, Jonathan literally passed out.
But if you look, like, we're all dying.
And then Karamo's sitting over there in a hoodie.
That's crazy.
And you're just like, aren't you hot?
She's like, no.
He made one of our producers nosebleeds once because she was sitting in his car going over some scenes.
And he had the heat cranked up so high that it made her nosebleed.
She's like, yeah, no.
She runs into the trailer for a tissue.
And we're like, oh, my God, what happened?
She's like, Karamo.
And we're like, what?
And she's like, no, no, the heat in his car.
I'm like, oh my God.
How hot is it that your nose starts bleeding?
He had it on high.
That's crazy.
That's crazy.
He's still like, it's cold.
I can't relate less.
I literally couldn't if I tried.
And that's why my hat like, you're starting to piss me off.
Like, you think you're better than me and you're not.
That's what is.
The other day was complaining.
I hadn't slept well recently.
I was like, is it because you're too hot at night?
And he's like, Kromwell keeps it so hot at night.
I'm like.
I couldn't do it.
Thankfully, my boyfriend also runs hot too.
So, like, he's also, he sleeps really hot too.
So, like, he gets really warm at night.
My boyfriend didn't used to.
He used to sleep very cold.
But I've changed that.
And now he sleeps very hot, too.
His body has adapted to me keeping it like an icebox at night.
I know.
My house is freezing cold at all hours because I just can't do it.
I'm so sorry, I can't.
Even my, with my boyfriend, too, I have to buy, like, very specific, like, comforters that are, like, light and cotton.
Yeah.
Like, so it's not.
I can't get those jersey sheets like as much as I like how cozy they feel.
Yeah, too hot.
He'll sweat through them and then I'll have to wash them all the time.
So I'm like, can't do it.
But I'm glad to have some.
The sheets will be sliding off that bed just like your wig.
Just like my wig, bitch.
Down my neck.
Okay.
So let's get to the topic for today.
Talking about sweating.
You're like, all right.
Let's actually get to the interview.
Speaking of sweating.
Just kidding.
We're not talking about sweating.
What we're talking about today, our topic is called setting a vibe, right?
basically how curating a space can be an act of self-care, which goes perfectly with your book,
which I'm super excited about.
So we're going to reference some TikToks that are in the right vein about design, interior design,
whatever you're not aesthetics necessarily, just what you love.
It's funny you should say aesthetic because I actually posted a thread today about the Jin Z's
incorrect use of the word aesthetic.
It drives me insane.
Like, oh my God, that's so aesthetic.
No.
that's not how the words used.
It's, oh my God, I love your aesthetic.
Yeah.
Yeah, I see what you're saying.
Or that aesthetic is really cool.
Yeah.
Oh, that's so aesthetic.
But my Gen Z social manager now just like taunts me with it and she'll put it in, you know.
When something good happens.
Descriptions that I supposedly wrote, but she's writing it.
And she'll just like forward it to me and wink.
I'm like, love that.
So aesthetic.
Yeah.
Now I'm going to make, I'm going to make that the title of this episode, watch me.
It's so aesthetic.
That's what the title's going to be.
Okay, so for those of you who are new to the comment section, what we do is we bring videos that I was tagged in that are applicable to our topic today.
And then we laugh, Kiki, make comments, whatever is necessary.
So for this first video, it's kind of like a skit video.
And it's just a guy, he goes over to the house of a girl he likes and he gets turned off because she is like things like artificial, like Ivy leaves, like LED lights on the wall of her bedroom as to court.
Oh, definitely with him.
In the whole video is making fun of girls with the secur and says you have to be careful of girls like that.
Which like that part, fuck you, but also.
I feel like that's very young.
Like, I feel like that's very Gen Z.
The leaves and the LED lights.
I feel like that's their thing right now.
I don't know if I've ever been in a Gen Zier's bedroom.
So I don't know.
I would hope not.
Yeah.
Me either.
Wait a minute.
What age does Gen Z's dark?
Yeah.
I think it's, well, it's younger than me.
I'm a male.
Me too.
And are you?
I'm just kidding.
I'm just kidding.
If I had a mic on, I would rip it off right now and I would throw it down.
I am the second year.
Thank you.
I'm sorry, your face.
I'm totally kidding.
I told you he's 25.
That's definitely millennial.
Who is?
You are?
Oh, yes.
Is 25 millennial?
I think 25's Gen Z.
No.
No?
No, because I'm, well,
actually wait. No, I think 25's the cutoff. Yeah. Yeah. And I'm going to be 28.
80's the cutoff for a millennial. Some calendars say 81, but I still make it.
You're like, regardless of who you ask. I might be considered a geriatric millennial, but I am still a millennial.
I believe you. Hey, I believe you. I'll take your word for it. But I also Google you, just to fact check. I have a journal list.
Okay, so yeah, I mean, I feel like, because on TikTok, I saw like the Ivy Leaf thing and the LED lights, they're very, like, young.
I'm not a big fan of decorating with LED lights.
I don't like lights that change color.
I feel you.
Not my thing.
Not my thing.
I think if you're a teenager, it's fine.
I think if you're older than that, it's not.
No.
No?
No, you don't think?
No.
The only place multicolored lights belong is a Christmas tree, and even that, I don't love.
Me too, but I'll be I'll accept it.
That's so funny, I don't like colorful lights on a tree either.
No.
Yeah, I like gold or white and like multicolored lights in a pool no.
No.
Hey, no.
Even in a pool?
No.
I said no.
I have an Airbnb and sometimes I'll see from the camera somebody switched it to the multi light.
I'm like, no, I'll switch it remote.
I'm like you are ruining the mood I have created in this space.
Absolutely not.
Like, yeah, no.
Blue lighting does not go with this.
You write in the guest book.
Do not change the multi-color.
We'd love to welcome Judy back if she doesn't change our pool light color again.
You respond to their review and say I would give five stars, but.
Yeah, yeah, but you used multicolololol lights.
Damn, even in the pool, what don't you like about it?
It's just like it just throws off vibes.
Yeah, I think.
Everything is thoughtfully designed the way it should be.
And then when you throw in like strobing blue light, that's not desert vibes.
not desert getaway. That's not desert. That's not giving getaway at all. That's crazy. There was
something I forget what it was. I think, oh, something I hate, like, if I'm thinking decor,
like, I really don't like, like, leather couches, but it depends on the kind of leather and, like,
how it's shaped. You don't like the leather couches because of the way they feel?
Both. Yeah. Like in the summer, they're sticky. Yeah. In the winter, they're cold. Yeah,
I'm not a huge fan of that. And I just feel like I'm peeling my skin off of it. You know what I mean?
You end up like maybe putting a throw on it, then so you don't stick to it, but then you just slide off of it.
Yeah, I'm not a fan either.
Yeah, I don't like it.
Leather arm chairs, it's fine.
Like an accent chair, yeah, but like a leather sofa?
Yeah, I agree.
I think.
And also those couches that are like, it's like a big L, but they're all, it's kind of tall and they're like recliners.
Oh, yeah.
But it's like just the ends.
Yeah, yeah.
You don't like recliners either.
It depends on them.
Because some of them, they're cute now.
Some of them now, yes.
But if it's a sofa, I think they're called convertible sofas.
With the, yeah.
It's like a futon?
No, with the recliners and everything, I don't know why.
Okay.
But yeah, if your sofa, and I'm sorry out there if you do,
I know sometimes people just want comfy places,
and that's fine if that's who you are.
But I am not down with recliners built into the sofa.
I feel you.
Yeah, I don't like the look.
I think they're just too tall.
So I feel like I'm sitting up, like, too upright.
Well, that's why it reclines, so you can not sit up right.
So it ruined your whole theory.
I feel like when I'm in a recliner, I'm just sitting too upright.
Well, recline.
Hey, you got me back for that age comma.
You got me back.
One one.
Yeah, you got me there.
That is true.
But I also think, too, I want to be able to, like, just a little bit.
Like, move it back just a tiny, because what if you don't want to lay all the way down?
You know what I'm saying?
most like you can adjust
where you lay back but I'm not
a recliner expert all of a sudden. All
of a sudden, huh? I mean I did
grow up in a household of recliners.
They did. My parents bought some at one point too, but they all
broke and I think it's just because like you
open them too hard and close them too hard.
Knock that plant off. I don't like how you have to close them.
There's just no dignity in it. You know you're like
laying down and you sit up and then you're like, you
have to like do it all in one motion and that your cabs
Back in the day, yeah, now they're just like,
yeah, see, I didn't have those.
I had the ones you had to, like, really momentum, like, swing up.
You know what I'm saying?
Just no dignity in it.
It's just embarrassing when you're, like,
trying to close in talk at the same thing.
You're like, yeah, you know, no dignity in that.
I wouldn't agree with that at all.
But I think this kind of aesthetic,
this, like, LED light thing.
And the way you said that was correct.
Well, but you are a millennial, so you use that word correctly, I'm sure.
As are you.
As are you.
That is true.
Okay, so the comments on this video, this one says,
leaves on the wall means you got to leave her.
Okay.
It's not very punny, is it?
No, he tried.
He tried.
He tried.
And he failed.
Is there one about word art?
Word art.
My sister's house.
Love you, Shana.
Is just everything in the house is word art.
And I make fun of her so bad.
And it's like a house, not a home, or a home,
a house kind of thing, like those.
Those and like a lot of scriptures.
Ooh, yeah.
Yeah.
As for me in my house, we will serve the Lord.
And it's like Phil something for like Philippians, but I'm always like, who's Phil?
She's like, you make that joke every time.
I'm like, well, you still have a word art.
And you still think word art as decor.
She at least, I shamed her into taking down like the stenciled word art she had done on the walls.
Damn.
Is it like one of those ones that says like, you know those ones that say like, eat?
And they have it in the kitchen.
Pray love.
Or laugh.
Yeah, live, laugh, love.
Yeah, yeah.
It's like.
I don't need a sign to tell me to laugh.
In fact, I won't.
If I see it.
I'm going to do the opposite, in fact.
There was this one I saw.
I would say to my boyfriend all the time.
It's like life takes us places, but love brings you home, like that kind of stuff.
Yeah.
Yeah.
She loves them.
Sounds like it.
Yeah.
Yeah.
She big, like, farmhouse.
Is that like her vibe?
There you go.
because it's the same person
they love that stuff
gone fishing
laundry
I got that from the washer and dryer
I didn't need the sign up on the wall
that told me this is the laundry
that's like there
it's like real home goods vibes too
they have a lot of those there
I love a home goods
but they do have a lot of stuff like that there
lots of word
husband and I were driving to the gym this morning
and every day we drive by home goods
and we've driven by it every
day for three years. And this morning he was like, oh, there's a new home goods. It's been here this
whole time. Not new, but yeah. Every day. Every day we pass. It's,
okay, this next comment says, I know there's one girl that has LEDs in the leaves on her
wall. She says she let the whole football team run through her. I did not know where that comment
was going. I thought this was a family show. No, it absolutely is not. You thought my show was a family
I told my mom to watch this.
No, I'm kidding.
She can.
Hey, mom.
You're all.
I'm going to drag your word on.
She let the whole football team run through it?
That's what, like, made a goal?
Like through her.
Did I get that right?
Through her.
Through what yard line?
Is that a football term, too?
Through her as in had sex with her.
Caramo and I were on who wants to be a millionaire celebrity edition.
Oh, okay.
The questions was about Tom Brady and the team he,
played for and we were both like
the Patriots? No, we were both like
Tom Brady and we're like, wait, is that
Giselle's husband? And Jimmy Kimble, Jimmy Kimble was like
you two are the only people that would describe
Tom Brady as Giselle's husband. As you should honestly. Yes. As you fucking
should. Like I said what I said.
Ex husband in fact. Well, this was years ago.
Yeah, yeah.
That's so funny.
Giselle's husband. I love that. People call my boyfriend Mr. Drew. I love
that. I think he digs it. He's like, that sounds
good to me.
Like, she won't let me cut off my sleeves, but...
Not by yourself.
I've seen how you've cut shirts in the past.
Okay, this one says, or the rug on the ceiling above the bed.
I think they're talking about a tapestry.
A rug?
On the ceiling above the bed?
He's talking about a tapestry, but, you know, they're fucking stupid, so they don't know
the word tapestry.
Probably can't even spell it.
That's a bummer.
You think they know that's not a rug?
That's crazy.
They think that's a rug.
Or maybe there's...
Maybe they're thinking of macromay.
Their brains aren't nearly big enough
to conceptualize macromay.
Is there a question in here for me?
It's most of just like, what are your thoughts
on that comment?
Do better?
I can't believe you see that and you're like,
I didn't know there were sealing rugs.
I knew there weren't, but I was like,
I know I'm saying this man.
Years ago when I was little,
we went to look at this house
and they had covered all the walls
with like,
short shag carpet
interesting
the same carpet
that was on the floor
too
we walked in
and like 30 seconds later
we walked out
my mom was like
no no no
and now I look back at it
and it's like
those episodes of like
house hunters
where the person's like
the walls are blue though
so I don't think
this is the house for me
I'm like you can paint
the walls bitch
yeah that's true
you can paint the walls
that is true
my mom's like no carpet
and like you could take it off
even in my
in my new house
that I moved into
the layout is
is a little different
like than houses I've seen before
but the walls like
were like honestly
insane colors like it has a huge
entryway with lots of like little
pillars or columns kind of thing
and that whole thing was mint
and then like a really minty
green and then like a sane asylum
green yeah
yeah a little bit yeah
or like a Florida vacation home green
you know what I mean like that yeah okay
there's like a formal living room a dining room
a dining room and like those two rooms each had one dark gray wall like one dark gray wall then in the
living room there was like one dark gray wall and then the bedrooms like two of them were a mustard
yellow and the other two were like dark blue like super dark blue and so i was like wow that's so
ugly like the colors are so ugly hate that hate that so much and so when i got approved for the house
I was like painting it immediately,
paint immediately.
Painting your rooms different colors
and like just doing one accent wall,
especially like one accent wall,
a very dark color when everything else is a light color.
It makes your space well smaller.
Yeah, absolutely.
It chops it up visually.
All your scene is these little slices
instead of one big.
Yeah, absolutely.
So like accent walls are fine if it's a lighter color.
Yeah.
Because it's not so harsh and drastic,
but yeah, I'm not a fan.
And even like the owner,
like the previous owner,
He had like met my boyfriend and I and he was talking to us and he was like, yeah, like I built this house like from scratch and blah, blah, we were like, oh, cool.
And he was like, yeah, I was an architect.
I'm an architect and I'm like, by trade or like hobby.
You're like a successful one?
For like fun or.
And I like genuinely, I don't know if he like understands color schemes or if he was just like throwing everything at the wall and seeing what stuff.
You know what?
Some architects are, architectors, some architectures, some architects understand like structure and lines, but not design.
Yeah, like.
Not decor.
I've worked with some architects that will, like, do a stab at what the interiors will look like when they render a space they've designed.
Yeah.
And I'm just like, wow.
How are you in the design business?
Like, wow, hate that so much.
But thank you for your input.
The structure is really cool, but you leave the design to us.
Don't ruin your cool space by putting that stuff in there.
Well, he told us he like could not sell it.
Like he said like nobody would buy it.
And I was like, well, yeah, because it was fugly, but it's okay because I fixed it.
Like I saw the vision.
I saw the vision.
Once I just painted all of it white, like a really nice bright white.
And the painter I hired was really great too because he was like, oh, like in windows where light comes in.
You want like a shinier white.
Like you wanted to have something on it that like reflects light.
And then, or maybe it's the opposite.
Forget.
But like he was like in darker rooms.
you want ones that don't reflect as much or something like that.
There's like a whole science to it.
I forget.
So they did multiple walls in different sheens?
No, it's all, yeah, it's all white, but it's just like certain parts of the wall.
Or like some in eggshell, some in mats.
It would, yeah, it was like a mat or a not mat kind of thing.
He, like, used it in certain spaces.
Interesting. I've never heard that before.
Can't tell the difference.
If I'm being honest, when he was telling me, he could have been speaking Mandarin and I wouldn't have
not.
Like, I was like, I only charge you 20% extra.
And you're like, great, I can't tell the difference.
I was literally like, honestly, like, sounds like.
Good sounds great to me and then when he did it it looks great looks wonderful and he he did a lot of
extra shit too because he was like he was like in shock of what the house looked like too and I was
like he's like I'm gonna take all this down I'm gonna repaint this like don't worry about it but
I just like hate what it looks like same I'm with you honestly I was like love that for us just
let me know when it's done so I think paint plays a huge factor too absolutely and I love a nice
a white but not too white
like asylum white
People are always asking you know
What's the quickest and easiest and cheapest and cheapest way I can transfer my space?
And it's paint
Yeah that's true
And renter friendly too
Do you have like a lot of questions about renter friendly
Design?
Yeah small spaces
Rinter friendly and like there's articles on my site bobbybergt.com
Like the perfect white like I
Share with you my favorite white paint colors
Because whites can be hard
People are like oh white's basic it's not hard actually no
Some whites have like pink undertone
Some have like greens, some have blue.
And like, it's really, depending on how the light hits it,
depending on what color it's going to look like.
So whites actually are one of the harder colors to choose.
That's true.
Even the painter I hired, he was like, did you buy multiple whites yet?
And I was like, no.
And he's like, buy at least four or five and paint the wall and then let it dry
and then decide which when you want.
Yep.
And make sure you see it in the daytime and at nighttime.
He told us the same thing.
He was like, every time I tell them to do that, like if someone hires me and wants to do white,
they're like, oh, I don't care.
And then he's like, I'm not painting this room until you look at it because then you're going to tell me you hate it.
Because some of them look, they dry more like a cream.
Yep.
As opposed to a bright white.
So science.
Women in STEM.
Oh, also too, like I want to show this with you.
But like over the pandemic, you know, like everyone was in their home design phase.
They were like, ooh, I'm going to finish project.
I'm going to start a new one.
And like my dad's like brilliant idea was to like redo the living room.
And he's like, oh.
oh, let's like get a new catch, like for my mom on Mother's Day, because she had been saying, like, she wants to redo the space.
And, like, that's like my childhood home.
Like, we've lived in there for a very long time.
And so my dad was like, oh, like, let's just do like an accent wall.
Like, that seems easy.
And we're like, yeah, but the walls are so oddly shaped and they have really high vaulted ceilings.
And so it's like literally me, my sister, my brother, my dad and my boyfriend, like just, we don't know what the fuck we're doing.
Like, we're just painting.
And I was like, let's do like.
like a green and my dad's like okay and he picked like this dark green and so we like painted the whole
thing and we were like surprise she's like she was like wow wow I love it I love it we did it like
years ago and I know my mom wants my mom fucking hates it she wants to change it so bad but we were
I'm not kidding we watched like the show we can't talk about and we were like my sister and I were
like we saw them do a green and it looked so good like maybe we should try it and it was not the same
green literally at all. It was way too fucking dark. So what you said it makes the space feel smaller?
You're right. It does. It does make this big glorious high vaulted room that now feels like a cave.
Let's say they're like on a budget and they really want to like maximize a space like a one bedroom
apartment or something. Like where would you say they should focus like their energies?
I would say if you're on a budget and you've got to do it a little by little. I would say focus your
industries and your industries. Focus your industries. Focus your energies on the items that are going to make
the space function first.
Oh, okay.
Because like, oh, I found this beautiful piece of art I love.
I'm going to spend somebody on that.
Well, bitch, you don't have a sofa.
Where will you sit?
Yeah.
So focus on the things that will make the space first functional.
Okay.
And then when you can worry about decor-wise, making it pretty in the way you like it, do that.
But first, like, get the stuff that will make the home actually work for you.
Oh, okay.
That reminds me because you brought up a couch.
What are your thoughts on the cloud couch?
From Resto?
Yeah, the, like, very popular cloud couch.
I think that anything for restoration hardware is extremely overpriced and marked up for absolutely no reason.
Period.
And there's a lot of great other retailers and manufacturers out there that don't rip you off.
Sorry.
You shouldn't have fired me.
I'm all about that.
Honestly, in two, they're always like, I know I always see the white ones.
I don't know if they come in other colors.
Probably.
But I always see the white ones and I'm like, I would destroy that couch.
Like I'm so bad with stains and spells.
Like there's no way.
That house, that would look disgusting in my house.
I can't get a white couch.
We call our cloud couch, the trash couch.
The stained couch really is not a cloud.
That's why I'm like, I see the white stuff and I'm like, I don't know how you do that and have pets.
Like we have a dog.
Our sofa isn't white white, but it's like creamish off white.
Same.
Yeah, we have a pet.
But the key is like buy a sofa that has removable cushion covers.
Yeah.
You know, it's where you can't take it off and wash.
it. Don't buy a sofa that
the cushion like this,
like this chair. The cushion is
part of the chair. Yeah, you can't take it.
So you can't wash it. Yeah, literally. I put
my old couch in like my formal
dining or my formal living room
and those ones have like removal. It's kind of
like a dupe of that cloud couch,
but it's a different brand. And
you could take off the covers and wash
them and that worked out because my
dog took a big old dump on it
like right when we moved in the new house. Why?
I don't fucking know. I've never pooped on my
couch never like he i literally like we were walking past the living room and my boyfriend was like it
fucking smells bad over here like do you smell that i'm like no look a big giant dump he just left it
on that couch i'm like good thing i can remove those and wash the covers what did you do to him
well we just were like did you do that and he just like what did you do to him to make him act out like
that oh what did i i moved him into a big beautiful home apparently oh my god he was traumatized
by the colors before he's like get rid of this couch it's ugly it's not ugly
but it is one of those couches that's kind of low to the ground.
So it's hard to get out of like a climber.
Yeah.
Unless you're sitting really upright and you're uncomfortable.
Well, that's what a formal living room is for.
Yeah, literally.
Sitting upright and being uncomfortable.
That's what I'm saying.
But yeah, I guess that's his thoughts on my couch.
He hates it.
What would you say is like a trend that you're really glad isn't a thing as much anymore?
Ship lap.
Is that like that?
The wood.
The wood that's kind of like layered like that?
Yeah.
And they're kind of like slats.
Like you see a lot of it from, well, I won't.
Apparently I've talked too much shit about this designer
and I shouldn't do it anymore.
About shiplap?
Yeah.
The shiplap makes you that man.
I mean, most fans at home will know exactly who I'm talking about
when I say shiplap.
Damn, I didn't know you were talking that much shit on shiplap.
It's just over it.
Yeah, I feel you.
It's like LED lights.
Yeah.
But those are new.
That's a new wave thing, though.
And you're like, kill it immediately.
Kill it.
Now.
Yeah.
Unless they're white.
Yeah, just like a one single color.
Yeah, you really hate those multicolored lines, huh?
Nothing good comes from that.
Nothing.
That's the devil's word.
That's what you know.
Yeah.
That's what you know the devil's real.
Yeah, yeah.
Because LED lights exist.
Yeah.
Do you remember the glam core aesthetic that was really big in like the 2010s?
Mirrored everything.
Everything's silver.
Not for me.
Me either.
Yeah.
Not a fan.
I've never been a glam girl.
Me either.
Yeah.
I feel like my taste is kind of like very neutral.
Like I really like neutrals.
I don't like a lot of color in my home.
Me either.
Hence the reason why.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I did have those.
I will admit that too.
I didn't have a lot of them though.
But not with Ivy, right?
No, I never had the Ivy.
I'm too old for that apparently.
I had no idea that was a thing until I became a TikToker.
Like, I had no idea that was a thing.
But I do remember like my boyfriend got some of them,
I think just initially to put on the back of the TV.
which seems like such a teenage boy thing to do.
Were they synced with the TV though
and they kind of changed based on what you were watching
because that I'm fine with.
They can.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I'm down with that.
Ours didn't.
But it was so funny because when I first got him,
I thought they were for the wall
so I like tried putting him up
and he didn't get enough of them.
So it was really just one wall.
That's it.
Like half a wall and that's it.
And if you like made them red or something,
it makes the whole room red.
Yeah, no.
Which is kind of ominous.
It's a little.
Like funny, like the bulbs that we,
the smart bulbs that we have on our,
our house, they actually do change color.
Oh yeah, I was going to ask how you felt about those.
Yeah.
I mean, I don't use them.
I only have them set for a nice
warm white. But the other day, we have a friend
staying and she was like, hey, Google
turned to something.
And I don't know what she said, but it just
started turning everything and that like
there's like, I'm sorry, I can't turn the fridge off
and this and that. It's like just. And then
all the lights started flashing and changing colors.
And I'm like, what's going on?
Get Google. Stop.
I have a Google too. I love
Google.
I like her better than that other girl.
I don't even want to say the name because our listeners at home, it'll start going off in their
house.
I do hate that I always have to say, okay, Google.
Or you have to greet it in order for it to listen.
I guess you could say Google.
Hey, Google.
I think you can just say Google now.
I think they eliminated having to say, hey.
Having to greet her.
Yeah, yeah.
Sometimes she listens to me.
Oh, she's always listening.
Yeah, like, sometimes I'll like tell her to stop and I'll be like, Google, stop.
And then she doesn't stop.
So then I have to say it again.
And I'm like, ugh.
I'm like, girl, stop.
You're piss me off.
And then she's like, I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
That's not nice.
Yeah, or I'll call her a name and she tells me that's not nice.
Yeah.
So you're okay with smart homes technology.
Oh, absolutely.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I love that.
My sister, my brother-in-law wants to get like, like, ring cameras and stuff.
And my sister's like, no, like, people can watch us.
And I'm like, who the fuck wants to watch you?
Like, who?
Who is like, oh, let me hack into these cameras in this, like, farmhouse in the middle of
nowhere. It's probably going to be exciting.
I think all the time. I'm like, I'm not living a life nearly interesting enough to watch.
Yeah, I mean, I don't have cameras in my, well, I do have one doggy camera in my house, but like,
you know cameras in my house? Because that, I'm like, yeah, somebody could hack that and we are
kind of in the public eye. Yeah. Somebody might want to. Yeah. Same. I don't have them in the house.
I do have them all around my house, though. Those are really nice to have. Yeah. As your team behind
the camera pointed out, which is why my watch magically disappeared, you kept seeing all of my ring
notifications.
Yeah, literally our cameraman was watching.
He was reading all of your notifications.
He was all of your business.
He's like, there's an animal in your front yard.
I looked at a house once to rent, and I remember it was a beautiful home, but like they had,
you know how the beauty of ring is that you can take it with you?
Like when you leave, you like uninstall it and take it on like ADT or whatever.
And all his ring cameras were still there, and they were all pointing in.
And I remember asking like, are you guys going to take it?
those like when you like if I were to get this house and then they were like oh no the owner left those
for you and I'm like they're all facing it's like and we could see in the windows yeah like they were
facing inside you know how typically if they're on the outside of the house they'll point out it felt
like they were pointing in towards like the doors so you could like more so see inside and see in
the backyard as opposed to watching the out you know what I'm saying like oh my god that's so
nice but yeah I just don't think I need those yeah I was like well no like if I were to get this house I
like would for sure need you to take those.
And she was like, well, that's like a non-negotiable for the owner.
And I'm like, weird.
Weird vibes.
Yeah.
And the backyard, big, beautiful backyard, but the whole wall along the side.
Like, the back of it was all clear, like, all see-through.
It was literally just plain glass and then there's, like, other houses over there.
And I'm like, so then you can see in the backyard?
That's strange.
Landlord can watch me on camera.
That's why I'm like, he's trying to watch me.
That's weird.
She's like, oh, yeah, they could, like, he could give you a login and then, like,
No way
No way girl
I say I know they're like pointing in the bathroom
Like mine in yours
Yeah that's fine though
But that was consensual
Yeah
You were there when I put that one in
Just to wrap up
On that note
What would you say
Is like your best
Piece of advice for people
Trying to curate a space
That really caters
Not only to like
Their design preference
Like what they love to see
Like what they think is beautiful
But also like
That really helps the mental
And really helps
like, you know, settle you or give you peace, whatever it may be.
To me, the first thing, design, like, function is the mother of design.
So make sure your space functions for you because if your space is dysfunctional,
you're going to be dysfunctional in your mind.
Yeah.
So I always say, like, the first thing you should think about my biggest piece of advice is
to make sure the space is functional because that's what's going to be best for your mental health.
I love that.
What's your sign?
Virgo.
I knew it.
I knew.
I'm never wrong.
The way that you were describing everything, I was like, this bitch is a Virgo.
Early Virgo or late Virgo?
I'm a mid-vergo.
I'm on August 25th Virgo.
When's your birthday?
That's actually my anniversary.
So let's look at us.
Great things happen on the 25th of August.
Mine's September 18th.
Period.
Look at us.
I knew you were, especially you prioritizing functionality over that.
That's me too.
I'm very like, I needed to work and function as in like a working space but also company.
Any sane person would.
But apparently.
And we're big fans in neutrals, hate multicolored things.
organization and look at us we're both mentally ill runs a lot in virgos apparently my husband tells
me that whatever that means we just found out recently that if he had been born one day before he'd be a
virgo i know that sounds crazy to have just found out recently but we just found out recently that his mom lied
about his birthday his whole life oh shit so he yeah we thought he was a jemini his whole life but now
he's a libra one day before he would have been a virgo i'm with a libra too i pull
off my face and it's your face underneath.
