I told this story before, but the first Airbnb I stayed in was 15 years ago.
I was looking for places to live when I wanted to be a writer and we stayed at this house,
I think outside Phoenix.
And then when I bought my first house here in Austin, I would rent it out when South by Southwest
or F-1 or all these events.
My wife and I would go out of town and we'd rent it and it helped pay for the mortgage
and it supported me while I was a writer.
You've probably had the same experience.
You stayed in an Airbnb and thought,
this is doable.
Maybe I could rent my place on Airbnb.
And it's really that simple.
You can start with a spare room
or you can rent your whole place when you're away.
You could be sitting on an Airbnb and not even know it.
Maybe you set up a home office during the pandemic
and now you don't need it because you're back at work.
Maybe you're traveling to see friends and family
for the holidays.
While your way, your home could be an Airbnb.
Whether you could use extra money to cover some bills or for something a little more
fun, your home could be worth more than you think. Find out how much at Airbnb.ca-host.

The only revenge worth getting.
Unfortunately, it's been happening for a long time. People doing horrible things to each other.
Marcus Aurelius was betrayed.
Senica was exiled on trumped-up charges. There were still ex who were cheated on.
There were still ex who were persecuted. There were still ex who are tortured.
How did they get over it? How did they get even get justice? The great doctor Edith Eager whose books I've
raved about here and she's been on the daily so-of-parkest twice, you absolutely should listen.
She endured the Holocaust at Auschwitz. She was a victim of one of the most heinous crimes
in human history. How did she get over it? How did she get even get justice? As she recently said,
my ultimate revenge against Hitler is kissing my great-grandchildren at the age of 95.
I took back my power and decided not just to live, but to thrive.
Marcus really reminded himself in his meditations, perhaps after his betrayal, that the best revenge
is not to be like that.
He was saying that he had no choice about what was done to him, but he could choose not
to be consumed by anger or in need to punish.
He could choose not to be better.
He could choose to be happy and to do good,
to hug his kids and live his life.
Whatever has been done to us, minor or major,
we have this choice too.
We can take back our power and decide not just to live,
but to thrive.
We can decide not to be like the people who did us wrong.
We can choose to be better, to be happy, to do good.
And seriously, if you haven't read Dr. Eager's book, the choice, absolutely should. I'll link to it in today's
show notes. You can grab it at the painting porch. Incredible book, life-changing book, and it's up there.
It's up there right alongside Mancesth for meeting, which everyone should also meet.

Hi, it's me, the Grand Puba of Bahambad,
the OG Green Grump, the Grinch, from Wondery.
Tis the Grinch Holiday talk show is a pathetic attempt
by the people of O'Vill to use my situation
as a teachable moment.
So join me, the Grinch, along with Cindy Luhu, and of course my dog Max every week for
this complete waste of time.
Listen as I launch a campaign against Christmas cheer, grilling celebrity guests, like chestnuts
on an open fire.
Now try to get my heart to grow a few sizes, but it's not gonna work, honey.
Your family will love the show!
As you know, I'm famously great with kids.
