Anytime, anywhere.
This is Dale Jr., and you're listening to Dirty Moe Radio.
Hey, everybody's Dale Jr.
First off, I think a day race at Charlotte is much better than a night race.
And my reason is that at night, especially this particular weekend,
it's kind of cool in the evening.
Charlotte Motor Speedway was paved recently, or the last time it was paved,
they used some rubber polymers in the asphalt.
and so, you know, rubber tires with rubber polymers, there's a lot of grip as it is.
And when it cools down at night, the bottom groove becomes very dominant.
The top can work a little bit, but it's not quite as competitive as you might have during the afternoon.
So I think that to see multiple grooves, which I believe presents more opportunities for passing,
giving drivers more options to row.
run different lines is going to happen in the middle of the day.
So I was glad to see the race run during the day.
I thought Alex and the 88 guys did a great job all weekend.
They obviously qualified very well.
I thought they had a pretty good car in practice,
but when the race started, it was even better than I thought it was.
He had some really good speed.
They didn't really get to run a ton of laps for him to move around
and learn too much more about the racetrack itself,
but he ran most of his laps right on the bottom.
and he was a little bit faster than a couple of guys he was around,
but they were also running the bottom,
so it was very difficult for him to make passes.
But I think as the race went on,
he would have had some opportunities once he could search around
and find different lines to run.
Unfortunately, he had a left front tire down.
I looked at the tire, and it's hard to tell what exactly happened
and why that happened.
To look at it at first glance, it appears that you might think
the air pressure was a little bit too low.
The tire separated from the sidewall separated basically from the tire.
Usually that happens when the air pressure is too low.
But this was a long run or at least further into a run
than you would expect to have that kind of issue.
But it has happened in the past.
Particularly at Fontana.
It was an issue for a few races.
and it didn't seem like air pressure was a shorefire fix.
You just had to hope that you kind of dodge the bumps on the back straightaway at Fontana
early in the run, so you didn't put the tire through too much stress so it could survive.
But there's not a lot of bumps at Charlotte,
so I don't know exactly what might have happened early in the run that put the tire in stress
and allowed it to come apart like that.
But unfortunately, it ended Alex's day.
That was a brand new car.
The guys were really excited about it,
and I think they're going to take it to Homestead,
but it won't be run anytime soon until they get the repairs made.
I thought all the Hingert cars look great.
Obviously, Jimmy went in the race is a good thing for him to be able to move forward.
I think that Chase showed enough speed that those guys don't need to be too worried,
and they can bounce back.
enough people in the chase had problems to give, you know, Chase a bit of a break and the ability to stay in this.
And he has had the speed in the last several weeks to get the job done.
And I expect those guys will move on beyond this round.
So I'm really excited for Jimmy.
He's chasing that seven championship to put him up there with Richard and my father.
wants that so badly we've had a few conversations about that and know how much that would mean to him
i think that he's one of the greatest race car drivers this sport's scene obviously to win five
championships in a row is unbelievable and the argument's undeniable that he is one of the greatest
he ranks right up there with the old man and anyone else you want to put in that conversation
to be quite honest yes i am pulling for jimmy to to get this championship and
and I believe he does deserve it after everything he's put into the sport.
I think that it would be good for him to go ahead and win that championship.
The Exfinity guys had decent runs.
I thought Elliott Sadler and his crew showed continued strength for the JR Motorsports campaign.
The seven car was good most of the day.
Harvick's team didn't run quite as well, I'm sure, as Harvick would have liked up and down day for those guys.
but the Sadler, man, his group, they seem to be showing very good strength, week in, week out.
Charlotte has not been a track where I think that we've done very well over the last several years.
We've really had a hard time keeping up with some of the stiffer competition, particularly the Gibbs cars, obviously.
They're the top of the heap right now this year.
And over the last several years, we just haven't been able to run very well there.
we haven't been able to crack into the top five on a regular basis.
So it was good to see our cars more competitive at Charlotte,
and I think that bodes well for us for the rest of the season.
That was exciting.
Last several laps, watching how the chase played out for the Xfinity teams.
It was a lot of drama.
I felt bad for Ty Dillon because I know that that was very disappointing for him.
You could see that in his interview post-race.
but it also shows you that this new chase format is adding new excitement that the series has lacked over the last several years.
And so I'm really glad that it's part of the Xfinity series.
I think it's bringing attention to the series that it sorely needs.
And hopefully the rest of the remainder of the chase will be as exciting as it's been so far.
You can't miss when you come down to the last race and,
have four guys battling to win the championship in one single event. I mean, that's a,
that's going to be dramatic no matter how it plays out. But we're excited and happy to be a part
of it. Anyways, I'm looking forward to seeing how Alex does over the next several weeks. He's
going to get a few more cracks at it. I'm really looking forward to going to Martinsville and
watching Jeff. He's a master of that place. And I'll be at all the events except for Phoenix.
I'm going to, I'm coming into Phoenix on Friday, but I don't think I'm going to stay.
for the race, but I will be at all the other events the rest of the year. And it's certainly a unique
perspective from my point of view. It's a huge relief for me to not be in the car so that I can get
well and is a bit frustrating not to be in the car, knowing the cars are so good. We've made
cement strides over the last several months at HMS to improve our cars and improve the speed,
and that's starting to really show right when we needed to. I knew and said many times during
during the summer that when the chase came around, we would rebound and be strong.
And we have.
So I'm not surprised.
I was surprised at how frustrating and difficult the summer was, but I knew we would get it going.
So I'm happy about that and makes me excited to be in the car as soon as, you know, when I do get back in there.
I'm having fun going to the races.
We had a lot of meet and greets at Charlotte.
I think we had eight total.
A lot of fun, you know, interacting with our partners and so forth throughout the weekend.
It's great to go down on the grid and wish the team a good luck.
And it was even as unfortunate as the accident was, it was fun to help them sort things out
and load the car up and all that afterwards over with.
I just like being a part of it and feel like a part of the family.
And it's good to be back at the track and be interacting with everything.
So I'll see you guys later.
I hope you enjoy the download.
Take it easy.
All right, my man.
We appreciate you.

With first name Davis and Tyler Overstreet, I am Taylor Zarzer.
Now, I would like to say that Tyler Overstreet is in here because he is.
tied up Mike Davis in a closet after some of Mike Davis's comments about Tyler Overstreet while reading White Flag the last few weeks.
But Tyler, that's not true.
As far as you know, has anybody seen Mike today?
That's a fair point.
All right.
So you're suggesting that you may or may not have kidnapped Mike Davis against his will.
and he is unable to free himself at this moment.
I did not do that.
I'm sure both of y'all know.
He's texting and emailing.
He's got tired issue.
Well, now, maybe, I don't know.
They all just blend together.
He is having some tire trouble with his truck this morning.
So he's not here, and they called him the big guns.
Yeah, we brought Tyler down here because we needed them.
This show might be better with Tyler instead of Mike.
Oh, wow.
That's not me saying that.
That's first name.
How about that?
Those are some big shots you just fired, first name Davis.
It's okay, Mike probably won't hear this.
Well, I hope everything's okay with my man, MD, but he does have a blown out tire, so he is down on the apron right now,
trying to get back to pit road and into the garage.
as they'll do some work on his vehicle and we hope to see him again real soon.
Guys, let's recap a few things that Dale went over.
First of all, first name, I feel like last week somebody might have suggested to watch out for the 48.
Were they in Minnesota when they said this?
I think they might have been in the Minneapolis Airport.
Yeah, the Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport.
Man, you went out on a whim there, didn't you?
Come on now, Tyler.
Give me some credit, man.
This guy has not been having the greatest of years.
And I said, watch out.
Look at the tracks that are coming up.
48 has a real chance to win the championship.
That's going out on a limb, Tyler.
Nobody's ever heard of the 48 before.
I know.
He hadn't won any championships.
He's never won Charlotte.
I mean, you're a fortune teller.
I really am.
I'm Nostradamus, really, on this show.
But I did think that, you know, you certainly, Tyler, being around the team, the 4888 shop so much, you can speak to this.
It has not been the best year for Jimmy Johnson, Chad Canals, and that team compared to their level of expectations.
And Saturday, Sunday, though, felt like old times.
You hit it right on the head.
It seems like they've been off, but, I mean, those guys are super smart.
They have the best people out there.
And to see the Gibbs cars and the 78 outrun them, most of the time the Penske cars have been running off.
there. It's like, what do they have to do to get back? And clearly you have enough smart people.
They'll figure it out and they've made huge gains really since the start of the chase because
they came out fast at Chicago. Loudon was okay. And then Jimmy could have won Dover if he didn't
have that penalty on the on pit road. So I wasn't terribly surprised. It was kind of weird though,
because back in the day when he was winning all those races, it was like, oh, the 48 wins,
48's don't burn out. Awesome.
But yesterday it was like, all right, that's cool.
And now you look at the third round for him.
He's won Texas the last couple years, but he had already been eliminated,
so it wouldn't have moved him to Homestead.
So Texas, Martinsville, and Phoenix are all good tracks for the 48,
so it looks good for them.
Yeah, I fully expect them to be one of those four in Homestead fighting for the championship.
First name, you know good and well.
If Dale Jr.'s not able to race, you know who I'm cheering for.
A big Jimmy Johnson fan, always have been.
And Dale just admitted that's who he's pulling for too.
Let me ask you this.
You keep good tabs on Junior Nation.
Do you think Junior Nation is going to join us
and also cheer for the 48 to win a championship?
I don't know.
I thought it was pretty surprising that he came out and said that
because, I mean, we've guys kind of tried to get it out of him
when he's been in studio with us
about who he's kind of pulling for in the chase.
Yeah.
And in terms of the pulse of, like, Junior Nation, everything and reaction theater calls and Twitter and social media,
it really sounded like Truex and Chase were the guys that people wanted to cheer for.
But to hear Dale come out and say that he was pulling for Jimmy, it might sway some minds.
But some people might be like, hey, good for you, Dale, but I'm still cheering for.
Yeah, I think there's a segment of our fan base that probably doesn't want Jimmy to get to seven,
just because they don't want him to tie Dale Sr. and Richard.
but I think anybody who knows Dale and is in tune with Dale knows how much, how good a friends he is with Jimmy and how good a teammate Jimmy is.
So it shouldn't be too big a surprise.
Obviously Truex is one of his best friends, so you'd want to see him do well.
And obviously Chase, our fan base kind of seems in line with Chase's persona.
So any of those three, I think, would be good picks.
Yeah, I agree with that.
I think those are the three scenarios, Junior Nation.
is pulling for you.
The young gun, how great that would be for the sport,
happens to be one of Dale's teammates.
His closest teammate for the last handful of years has been Jimmy,
or maybe his buddy Martin Truex,
would all be good selections.
Looking at the standings, Jimmy's obviously into the next round.
Kenzith, Cowbush, Kislauski, they're all in really good shape right now.
And, of course, this is just the first of those three races in this segment.
But Austin, Dillon, Chase Elliott, both three.
three points behind Hamlin after Chase's unfortunate issue.
Legano is six points out of eight place, and Kevin Harvick is eight.
Now, of course, that could all change next week at Kansas,
and obviously a lot of it will change,
just like we saw, unfortunately, last year at Talladega.
So it should be interesting what happens here in the next few weeks.
How about the Xfinity series and some of his comments about Mr. Sadler there, Tyler?
Certainly it's been another great year for junior motorsports.
All guy are right in the mix, too.
Yeah, those guys are phenomenal.
The one car, the start of their race, where do you start, 12th or 13th, fell back a little bit,
and then over the long haul, he started inching his way forward.
He got to about 10th or 11th, then he inched even closer.
And then, I don't know what they did, the last 20 laps in those restarts.
And he just took off.
And at first I was like, wow, he's just going to go up there and pass Larson regardless of what happens to Larson.
and he might have a chance to run him down.
Kevin Mendering is unbelievable as a crew chief
and as an engineer at the cup level the past few years.
And then the seven ran good all day.
I don't know how severe their shifter issue was,
but TV made it seem like, oh, my gosh,
it's going to pop out of gear and blow up.
He's going to be out of the chase.
So that was nerve-wracking.
And also always the 88 with Harvick.
So all three of them are still in the owners,
and then Sadler and All-Gar are.
I also, he's upstairs when we were there yesterday, there's like three separate times where I was like,
oh, Harvard might win. Oh, Justin might win this. And then at the very end, I was like, oh, Elliot.
Depending on what portion of the race it was, I thought each one had a chance to win at some point.
So that's always a good feeling.
Yeah, that's awesome to be able to take three cars to the track that all have the potential to win.
So we've been trying for that for a long time and finally getting there with all three teams at the same time.
It's really cool.
Suarez, Sadler, Allgaier, gone, Ryan Reed, Eric Jones.
Let's see, Blake and Daryl are the last two, I believe.
Seventh and eighth place.
Ty Dillon does not make it in to the next round.
So it's been fun watching that, and Sadler and Allgaier a chance at the championship,
which is really cool.
Hey, last thing before we get to reaction theater, Tyler,
Dale at the track these last couple weeks.
He mentioned it when he was in studio with us a few weeks ago,
how he's trying his best.
to get himself out of his comfort zone.
And that's important in his recovery process.
And you talked about going to a concert a few weeks ago
and having some anxiety about that,
but knew that he would have some a couple of weeks ago at the track.
But now that he's been the last few weeks,
it seems like he's got a lot of comfort and confidence
really is fulfilled by being around his teammates
and being around his team.
And you heard what he said about his schedule coming up.
He's going to be there every week.
may not stay for the Phoenix race, but he is going to town.
So this seems like it's absolutely great for his recovery process to get him back in the car in
Daytona, like he said, but it's also good for his peace of mind to be around his buddies
and be part of that each weekend.
Yeah, absolutely.
And as much as it does him good to be there, I feel like it's the same for, it's the same
for me because Dale's a race car driver.
I want to see him at the racetrack.
And those guys, those are his guys, like, regardless of who's in that car at the end of
end of the day, they're Dale Jr.'s guys. So they want to see Dale at the track. And I think
that's been big for all those guys. It's been big for Alex. On Thursday, Dale was able to go up in the
lounge and talk to him for 15, 20 minutes after practice, offer some feedback. I didn't go and
listen to the conversation, but I would assume he's giving him like, hey, this is what I experienced
in practice compared to what you did this time. And then Alex went and qualified second. I don't
know if that has anything to do with Dale, but it can't hurt to have a guy that's been
racing for so long to give you feedback.
All right, so good stuff from Dale at the track.
More on that coming up in our nationwide segment.
But first, it's time for reaction theater.
I knew I liked that Taylor, Zarser.
He predicted Jimmy Johnson would win.
I knew he would too.
Anyway, great race today, calling from Denver.
Too bad about Alex Balman.
That was a bummer.
I know he had a really, really good car.
Probably not the most popular thing here,
but I'm an 88-48 fan, so I am thrilled at JJ 1.
Anyway, great day for Junior Motor Sports 2,
and it was good to see Junior at the track.
And Mike Davis does not suck,
and Taylor's Arsor is absolutely fantastic.
Man.
Bye.
I love you, too.
Wow.
Was that Betsy?
No, no.
It's not Betsy.
I was like, wow, this is a great call until she said Mike Davis does not suck.
Yeah, it was.
That was the only mistake she made,
It was.
Not my wife, and I love my wife very much, Davis.
So I just want to make that very clear.
But, you know, listen, great minds think alike.
Pulling for the 48.
Who we got next?
All right, I got to interject here before we play this goal.
That's probably the creepiest thing that's ever been left on the Reaction Theater.
So you know how clowns are taken ever America?
A clown called in the reaction theater.
He was angry at Mike Davis.
Mike Davis just thought I'd let you know that you have screwed this weekend over.
I was supposed to go to the infinity race last night.
It got rained out thanks to you.
The Sprint Cup race is supposed to be tonight.
It got rained out because of you.
Your little cry, baby.
All you do is cry because everybody hates you.
Everybody calls in and says they don't like you.
I'm asserting to agree with them now.
I hope you like it.
You have caused tremendous pain to me.
I despise Mr. Mike.
And I hope this Halloween of clown scares the living crap out of you.
I really...
I'm going to have nightmares tonight.
Wow.
And then he had the tire trouble this morning?
Yeah, creepy.
Oh, my goodness.
That explains a lot.
Yeah, it's all adding up.
Yeah.
Okay, I'd take back everything I said about Tyler tying up Mike Davis and...
All that. We need to get Mike to safety.
Unless the deeper conspiracy, and that was actually Tyler.
It could have been.
That was terrifying.
We'll never know.
I will never forget that call, unfortunately.
All right.
Who's next?
What's up, guys?
Trevor, man.
First of all, I hope all you guys were safe and all your families were safe during that hurricane and stuff.
And, man, Jimmy Johnson went into 24 and in the 24 race.
win my streak, that's good for him. Hendricks
Motorsports get a win, so that's good.
But all around, man, I think it's a boring race.
I mean, I thought this race would be more exciting than what it was, but pretty much
boring for me, but of course, I guess that's what happens with my man's not race.
And so Hope Dale Jr. still making a good recovery and all you guys are having a good time
and having a good day.
So with that, you guys have a good day, man.
Hashtag Mike Davis, don't suck.
Wow.
It's a couple of people that are saying that.
I think a lot of the enjoyment has been taken out because Junior's not in a race car.
But I enjoyed the race.
I thought it was fun.
God, has Mike Davis put these people up to call it in?
What's the deal, Tyler?
Yeah, I don't know.
He's got a lot of relatives, apparently.
I actually don't think that's the last Mike Davis don't suck call.
But I didn't think that race sucked.
I mean, there was a lot going on.
I mean, a lot happened to those chase guys.
That's what you want to, I mean, you don't want to see them have bad luck, but you want to see them overcome trouble and whatnot.
Storylines.
Yeah.
I thought there were plenty yesterday.
It's just, I think a lot of people have a hard time when they don't see their guy in the car.
And we certainly can understand that.
All right.
Who's next?
Jimmy, yeah.
I know a lot of you probably just spit your drinks out right now, but he's our teammate.
He's our shopmate.
Why the hell not?
It's good to see Jimmy moving on.
It's too bad Chase got caught up in that wreck.
Chase is going to win a race this year.
There's no two ways around it.
It's going to happen.
The kid is that good.
And it's good to see Elliot Saffirnish the second.
Too bad they didn't either get around that scumbagg, no.
Lagano.
So I guess we're going to have to go around to Kansas now and see what else we can do.
Alex Bowman, man.
I'm somewhat happy to see that the bad luck is following through Alex.
from Dale and Jeff and all that.
But it really sucks.
I mean, man, that car was fast.
Yeah.
Stupid fast.
I mean, that is faster than the submarine Mike's voting ratings for Junior Nation.
That's right.
I said it.
Hashtag Team Dato.
Hashtag Dale, yeah.
Hashtag Jimmy, yeah.
And hashtag Elliott, yeah.
There you go.
It's a lot of hashtags.
Wow.
I think he's right, man.
Chase Elliott is going to be a superstar.
And it has been really fun, Tyler,
to see the speed that the 88 team has had.
Alex Bowman's got a very bright future.
Absolutely.
I just don't, I just, I don't want to see those guys have bad luck, though.
No.
But they are, they're doing an amazing job, putting awesome cars out there and getting better every week.
So I hope that their luck turns around.
I'd love to see Alex get a top five or sneak in there and win a race, but we'll see.
We had, what, five guys, I think, five chase drivers that really had a lot of bad luck.
Yeah.
That was pretty crazy.
What was it the first time since 2007 or something,
that five of them had finished outside the top 30 in a race?
Oh, wow.
That's pretty crazy stuff.
But good weekend for the Hendrik Motorsports team.
All right, who's next?
Go, Jimmy.
It's your birthday.
You party like it's your birthday.
Hey, congrats to Jimmy.
Not a really huge fan of Jimmy Johnson,
but a good team win for Hendricks.
I hate it for Bowman, got out early.
Really hated the Stinking Truex took out Austin Dillon and Chase Elliott
Because that might have been a little different stories at that race
They may have something for them, who knows?
You know, feel bad for them.
And on the extenity side, I'd be dang a cry baby Joey in that Ford,
which I'm surprised made to victory lane
They didn't have to fix something to push into Victory Lane
I was so open, sadly wouldn't win.
He was so close, but it's a good finish for what he needs
for what team needs to get him on down the road.
Kind of cool, having two races in one.
one day plus having a whole bunch of football so i was like what the hell do i do football and that's coming
ah ah oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh wow wow wow yeah yeah
yeah uh 28 14 dogs yeah i think we're now a hundred and 28th out of a hundred and 28 in total
offense so hey but you score 14 that's better than yeah the start of the year something's the
It's actually not Jimmy's birthday.
It's actually Dale's birthday.
I know, right?
He shouldn't change the lyrics.
I know.
Jimmy's birthday was a month ago, I believe, and he's a year younger.
Year younger than Dale Jr.
Although Dale Jr., both of them look like they're in their early 30s.
These people don't like Joey Lugano.
No.
No, that is one thing.
If you wanted to deduce just three things from the Dale Jr. download in the history of this podcast in the last five years,
That would be one of the three things.
Taylor, do you think they dislike Kyle Busch or Joey Lugano more?
I think it's Joey Lugano.
Wow.
I do.
I'm learning a lot.
Yeah.
It's close.
Not a fan.
I went to, I'm trying to think of what I went to.
I went to some event and they gave Joey, they gave this gift bag, and I found a Joey Lugano hugger, coozy in there.
And I was like, oh, my God, I got to get rid of this before somebody sees me with it.
You know, like, I might, like, seriously, this will destroy my reputation with Junior Nation.
It was, I was terrified.
Who's next?
Last one.
I just want to start out by wishing a happy 42nd birthday to the boss man himself, Dale Jr.
I last called Reaction Theater in April, and ever since then, so much has happened.
Well, there is only one man who is good enough to be the president of Junior Nation,
and that is Stone Cold Steve Austin.
If you want to see Stone Cold Steve Austin
be the president of Junior Nation,
give me a Dale yeah.
You're damn right.
And even though we're running against each other,
submarine Mike's calls are still better than mine,
and he and I both agree that Mike Davis does not suck.
Anyone who is a fan of the Chicago Cub is a friend of mine
and always will be.
And now, as for,
or sloppy yellow or Dan the junior fan, whatever you're calling yourself now,
you make the entire state of Texas look bad with your constant slapping of your gums
about how submarine Mike and Mike Davis both suck.
Well, in the words of Degeneration X, I've got two words for you.
That's right, suck it, Dado.
And that's the bottom line.
Because stone cold,
That's so cold to call in.
Was that called from like 2001?
I think so out of that.

Mr. Overstreet, Mr. Earnhardt, Jr.
Get any birthday shoutouts this weekend at the track?
Yeah, you got some, we went to Memphis on Saturday morning.
Somebody gave him a card there, and somebody gave him a card during one of the meet and greets yesterday.
So there were some people wishing him a happy birthday.
That's interesting.
I wasn't one of them.
Why?
I said him in Texas this morning.
Nice.
Oh, okay.
Well, that was nice.
Yeah, what does his manager do?
I have no idea.
Yeah, I know.
You treat him like everybody else.
Happy birthday.
Yeah.
Hey, dude.
Happy birthday, bud.
Tell me about Memphis.
What was happening there?
We went to the Bass Pro Shops.
The Memphis Pyramid now is a Bass Pro Shops.
Yeah.
So we went there.
This is a- Right on the water.
Yep.
The second year in a row, we've done that.
We went in there pretty early on Saturday morning and signed some autographs for about
250 people. Then we flew back. The landing back in Charlotte coming back into the hurricane,
whenever it was as bad as we got it in our area. It was pretty fun. We came in there a little
sideways. God dang, I didn't even think about that. But it was, it was pretty fun, Tyler says.
Yeah, that's what the pilot said at least. But yeah, so we did that for True Timber. So we do
a couple Bass Pro appearances a year to promote them. And then we flew back.
And we had the rest of Saturday off because by the time we got back, they'd already canceled everything.
No rendezvous ribs or anything in Memphis?
No, every time.
See, this is the second time we've gone there in two weeks because we went to a Valvallion appearance a couple weeks back.
And then we didn't get ribs then.
And we were in and out so past and so early this time that we didn't get them.
But we talk about it every time.
I've never had them.
You know, it's funny.
is they're so famous and they're absolutely the place you have to go eat in Memphis.
You know, like even the locals would tell you, you know what?
Yeah, we got a lot of local restaurants here, but that is the spot to go.
Roddivu ribs are fantastic.
All right, so you came back.
You obviously hung out at the track and that was a really fun experience on Sunday.
We met, like he said, eight meet or six meeting greets and two hospitality is where you go visit
with Nationwide's guests and Exaltz's guests.
So we did all that.
We had a make-a-wish kid.
come by and that was cool and then another kid from Dream on 3 which is like Make a Wish
and he was actually from Canapolis so that was actually cool for Dale and he was interacting with
them talking high school football but so we got we did all that stuff then we went out to the
grid Dale gets on the pit box he's got his his radio so he can talk to Alex then he's got his
digital radio so he can listen to what the team guys are saying that's not public and he's up
there just standing the whole time I'm like wow you're going to be tired of
the long race. And then as soon as we, or Alex had that trouble, he ran back to the garage
with the guys. He was helping them because I was like, all right, well, I guess we're done. We'll
go back to the bus now. And he's over there, like, pushing carts and stuff. And I'm like,
dude, what are you doing? But it was cool. I mean, it wasn't cool that he wrecked because he was
running so amazing. But it was cool for Dale to get to watch that and then to help the guys.
I know they appreciate that kind of stuff.
For sure. Absolutely. You could tell. And Dale's comments earlier that it meant a lot to him and he really enjoyed it. So here's to more of that happen in the rest of the season and Dale really enjoying those experiences. And here's the Tyler Overstreet coming in and giving us a recap from the weekend in weeks to come.
This is Natalie Saither. Tune into Motor Mouse every other Wednesday to listen to Katie Carson and I ask drivers off the wall questions with even better answers.
right here on Dirtymore Radio.
Here comes the most scrutinized part of Tyler Overstreet's job.
It's time now for White Flag.
White Flag right there, White Flag.
That means go, Tyler.
Yeah, whenever you're ready.
Come on.
It's going to just be an awkward pause.
This is your turn.
When we play White Flag right there, that means it's time for Tyler Overstreet to start talking.
I know.
A few things coming up this week for Dale Jr.
Wednesday morning, he's got a quick photo shoot with Nationwide.
They're working on an upcoming promotion.
You'll see that in the next couple months.
Then Wednesday afternoon, we're going to Martinsville Speedway
to promote the Goodies Bastralief 500.
That's the end of the month.
A few weeks ago, Talladega made Dale,
a member of the Alabama gang at their victory tour appearance.
So I don't know what Martinsville's got,
but they're going to have to go hard and see what they can do.
Later in the week, we'll be going to the Charlotte Motor Speedway
with Exalta for an appearance at some sort of,
of Expo. That'll be fun. If you're at the track Sunday morning in Kansas, Dale is going to be
stopping by the Chevy Stage outside turn four for a Q&A. We're still firm enough at the time.
So look for info on Dale's Facebook later this week. Hope to see you guys out there.
It's probably going to be cold in Kansas. It was cold this morning here.
Bundle up. And we'll wrap up this week's white flag with a friendly reminder about most popular
driver voting. It's most popular driver.com. This could be Dale's 14th year. We see all the
tweets. He sees him. He told me. He's really excited about it. He hopes that he gets it. There's
some stiff competition this year. This will be the first time that he's gone up against an
Elliott in a long time. So let's vote for Dale and make it 14 years in a row.
There you go. That is Tyler Overstreet reading White Flag this week, certain to be scrutinized
by Mike Davis. Certain, yes. At some point in the not so distant future. Shout out also.
Also the Jason, who's been watching the Dale Jr. download today and took a great picture of Tyler Overstreet, just relaxed, sitting back there.
This is Mike's couch.
And that gray silver shirt that you're watching.
Davis still wore his game caught colors today.
I did.
And Mike, a lot of times, will just lay down on the couch and do the shit like that.
Tyler didn't get that relaxed.
I don't do that.
We should name this couch, though, to the Mike Davis couch.
It is.
He would put that in his office if he could.
Yeah.
poor Mike Davis we hope he has a better day let's hope that by the time everybody is listening to this
mike davis's day has turned around in fact why don't you send mike davis a tweet since
mike davis loves social media so much why don't everybody listening i mean this send
mike davis a tweet and say hey mike you don't suck and i hope you're having a better day
that's perfect i'm not going to do that but who gets more tweets mike davis
for his good luck the rest of the day or Dale Jr. for his birthday.
Probably Mike.
Let's have a contest.
Who gets more tweets?
Mike Davis does not suck, and I hope you're having a better day.
We'd like to thank Exalta for its continued support and also thank Jeff Gordon and
Alex Bowman, who are filling in for Dale for the remainder of the 2016 season.
