This is Dale Jr., and you're listening to Dirty Moe Radio.
Just work hard, be good.
And just keep it up, man.
Just work hard, no matter what.
No matter what happens.
Just dig, stop, give anything to them.
The Dale Jr. download starts now.
I hear we have a half-ass spotter trying to help you tonight.
Told that he was the best option.
He was pretty good.
I don't actually watch the race, but...
You are alive, little Kyle.
I wish you would have told me we were going to do this on Tuesday
when he called, but we'll have to be here.
That's some funny stuff right there.
With Mike Davis and Dustin Lee, I'm Taylor Zarser.
You hear the voice of Mr. H there.
Rick Hendrick, Dale Jr., and Jeff Dickerson,
the spotter for the 88 on Sunday.
As our buddy, T.J. Majors is a little under the weather.
We certainly are thinking about him.
Hope he gets better in a hurry.
And there's a long story involved with Jeff Dickerson
and his history with Hendrick Motorsports,
his history with Kyle Busch, who ended up winning the race as well.
We'll talk about that here in a minute, Mike.
But good night.
Start 8th, finish 8th, and put yourself in a great position to make the chase with one race to go.
I know what it's like to go into Richmond and be nervous.
Yeah, two years ago.
Remember that?
And he had a problem in the first few laps.
Oh, my gosh, yeah.
That was nerve-wracking.
But even going back to the DEI days, those nerve-wracking races at Richmond,
when you're not locked in the chase.
And I know Junior's not locked in officially,
but boy, there is a nice cushion.
37 points.
You feel good about it.
Yeah, what is it?
So he has to finish 32nd without any laps lead,
I think 33rd with one lap lead, 34th at the most, you know, whatever.
So he needs to get in a terrible wreck.
Let's not even think about that.
But, yeah, and then I guess 11th place is Jeff Gordon right now.
Yeah.
And so he would have to win the race.
Yeah, and then junior would have to have to have.
So let's not even think about all that stuff.
I feel better about Richmond than I did before.
Yeah, you should.
Yeah.
So, you know, a decent race for the 88 team, I thought.
You know, good pitch strategies.
The car was fast.
I know that we'll talk about restarts here coming up.
I know that that was a theme on reaction theater.
But I thought overall they did what they had to do.
This Atlanta race called for one thing,
and that was to get a good, solid race in,
go into Richmond with a nice cushion between himself and 11th place.
I thought that, you know,
You often talk about this.
Junior often talks about it.
He wants speed.
He wants to have a car that has speed.
And he was probably as happy with his car as I've heard him all year.
And he gave Steve LaTart the ultimate compliment on the radio towards the end of the race,
just how much he appreciated him for the speed that he had.
It was a shame what happened on some of those restarts.
One in particular, I'm sure in reaction theater, we'll hear a lot about that.
But that was a car I felt that could have contended for the win.
that could have had a shot to get up there,
just depending on restarts and all that kind of stuff.
But that's the kind of,
the other thing that you have to consider, too,
is that you have to be mindful of the points.
You have to be mindful of getting yourself into the chase
for these last 10 races.
But with so many mile and a half tracks in the chase
and those last 10 races,
if they bring that kind of speed,
I think that junior fans should be real pumped.
Do you feel good about Kansas now?
Do you feel good about these stuff?
Absolutely.
Like, you know, this was a new tire, and you weren't really sure we've had tire problems in the past month or whatever.
The tires seemed good.
They're going to take that tire to Kansas.
I liked what I saw out of them.
I did.
I did.
Well, and you also think about the chassis that they brought to Atlanta was the same chassis that they had in Kentucky, and they won the poll.
Yeah.
You know, and let's not think of – I mean, obviously, a tire flew on the grill in Kentucky, but he had phenomenal speed in Kentucky.
and so the chassis was great, the tire was great.
I know that people want a better than eighth place finish.
I understand that.
I do, you do too.
And starting two weeks from now in two races, you should demand that.
Junior should demand that.
Steve should demand that.
But given where the team is right now, I thought it was a good night.
All right, let's, we got some other stories to talk about.
We'll talk to Jeff Dickerson here in just a moment.
And we'll talk about a crazy truck series finish.
You need to check out Marty Smith's tweets.
as he had an interesting conversation with Max Pappas
who had his jaw dislocated by another driver's girlfriend.
Yeah.
Yeah, unbelievable.
We'll talk about that coming up in just a minute.
Because that happens everywhere.
Yeah, all the time.
All right, let's hear in the race here.
A vibration.
Oh, Lord.
We've had recurring theme.
Yeah, so much of that, it seems, this year.
But here we go.
Dale Jr. starts reporting at a vibration around lap 50.
Here we go.
I'm trying to go as long as I can't Joe by me early.
Yeah, of course.
I'll bring you probably 10 early.
No, 4 still leaders.
If you feel, you have to come, though.
I'll back your belt, whatever you need.
I've run it all over, skin down here.
There's debris everywhere.
All right, I gotta go, Steve.
About 4,100 here, 4,100.
Watch is out, stay out, stay out, stay out, stay out, stay out.
It's evaporating pretty good, at the right front.
4, 10 4, we're gonna fix that, we're gonna hit them hard,
make sure the studs are good.
But balance-wise look good,
until they're at the end,
that most of the wheel slow us down.
Yeah, let's be trying to back the corner
We're going to pitch eight tires like the lift wheel.
Clay will know as soon as you hit them.
And if they're not loose, we'll bring you back in the second time or look at it.
They didn't have to come in a second time, which is good.
They did see an issue there with the right tire.
It was not a loose wheel, though.
Well, at least Steve said when he diagnosed the problem,
he goes, I don't see anything that is glaring a loose wheel.
That being said, we never had the problem again either.
A couple of things that are fascinating about this is that, I mean, Junior is,
real close to Pitton there.
I mean, like he is, he is past the backstretch, I believe.
Yeah, he was in three.
When the caution flag flew.
So, I mean, he is really close to Pitton, which ruins your night, you know,
if the caution flag flies and you're on pit road.
And that has happened this year.
Yep.
So that would have been a big blow.
So that's one thing to keep in mind.
And then the other thing is that I thought was fascinating is Junior kept saying to
to spotter Jeff Dickerson and to Steve LaTart that there was debris everywhere.
I mean, he kept saying it and saying it like, for the love of God, throw the caution.
There's a couch out there in the back stretch.
What do you want me to do?
Right.
And Jr. went on to explain himself to say, man, NASCAR's listening to us.
That's why I'm going to keep saying there's debris out here.
Maybe they'll listen to us.
And if they see the debris, you know, maybe we help trigger that caution flag.
So you could hear Jr. saying, please throw a caution flag.
As it turns out, I can't remember what caused that caution, but I think somebody spun out, right?
Is that, yeah, I think that's, I think you're right.
But regardless, it was beneficial that Junior did not pit.
It was a heads-up call by Dickerson as well, though.
I mean, you know, that was the last second thing.
Don't pit, don't pit, don't pit, don't pit.
Got him out there.
We were able to keep our track position.
Let's hear some strategy at lap 250.
A shout out to the 88 crew who did a phenomenal job all night in the pits.
But let's hear this at lap 250 halfway point.
Steve Lattartre deciding when to make a pit stop.
Too slow here, seven-cylinders.
If he gets to pit road, I want to cut.
Dickerson. If the two pits, we pit.
Two blowing up or the 22?
I want to bring you, bud, but I can't tell everybody comes
or that two does something. We can't get caught,
and I'll just play the race.
All right, I want you to pit this time, bud,
pit this time. Dickerson, confirm that two pits behind us.
He is, but the two's on seven, man.
Yeah, but he's up the road. I'm not worried. I want to pit now.
Pit now. Okay, two's pitting.
I understand. I understand.
Brad Kislauski, who's the defending champion, a good friend of Dale Juniors,
who has a big history with junior motorsports, who is somebody that can test the patience of somebody else
when they're playing video games.
The defending champion is in a world of trouble right now to make the chase,
which is unbelievable how years to years go.
But he had a great car, but then all of a sudden he's on seven cylinders.
And they didn't want to get caught if all of a sudden he brings out a caution, Mike.
So that's why Steve LaTart was saying all that.
I'm glad Steve LaTartes on the pit box and not me.
Like Dickerson shouldn't feel bad going, hey, do you mean the 22 who's leading, by the way,
or the two who's out there running half speed?
I was thinking the same thing.
Like, why is he so concerned with the two right now?
And then it finally dawned on me after LaTart explained it.
Of course, yeah, if we pit and then the two blows up, then this is a much more crucial time
than it was when the vibration.
This is at the halfway point of the race.
Now you're getting into the point where you don't have a lot of time to climb back through the field or come from a lap down.
Right.
But early in the race at lap 50 when there's a vibration, okay, you got time.
Jimmy Johnson never came from a lap down.
Never.
So, I mean, to your point, I mean, listen, if Brad Kislauski brings out a caution flag out there on the track on seven cylinders,
as Steve Lattard is trying to describe there and Dale Jr's in the pits, the 48 never came back.
Think of all the points the 48's lost in the last few weeks, by the way.
crazy. My gosh. I mean, you talk about bad luck. Everybody's like, oh, Jimmy's always got a,
you know, rabbit, rabbit's foot, whatever. Golden horseshoe. You golden horseshoe, not the last few weeks,
but regardless, he never got his lap back. So, you know, that's why they had to pay close
attention there to Kislauski. Yeah, he's like, you know, let me know when the two hits pit roaches.
Then I can check that worry off my list of the two bringing out an inadvertent caution.
Well, this is the one that I'm sure is going to spur the most reaction on reaction theater.
292, the restart.
Dale Jr. is in fourth.
After a great pit stop,
a great long green flag run.
I thought one of the,
I would argue one of the two best cars
on the track. Yeah, climbed up in the top five
at this point. But he's on the top,
and he's behind the 39,
and the 39 wouldn't go.
Spun his tires. Everybody checked up behind him,
and really, it cost Dale Jr. more spots than anyone.
Here we go.
I didn't go.
Yeah, oh, yeah, bud, I'm brilliant.
Absolutely.
It was either not the radiator around,
you did all you could do, bud.
And you get just hear it in Jr's voice.
He's trying to describe what he was doing.
He's obviously frustrated.
Like, what am I?
He's trying to obviously, like, talk about it.
Like, what was I supposed to do in that situation?
But it did.
It cost him a bunch of spots.
Yeah.
Fell back to 10th.
Yeah.
At one point.
And then when the caution came out, he was an 8th.
A quick aside.
What Dale Earnhardt did at Talladega on restart.
It's phenomenal.
What Dale and Art Jr. did three years ago in the Daytona 500,
going from 22nd to second and three green-white checkers, phenomenal.
What Curtis Bush did on Sunday night.
Oh, my Lord.
That was glory, glory, glory, hallelujah.
I mean, like, I have seen the light.
I know people who say, shut up, Taylor.
I don't want to talk about the 78.
But let's give credit where credit is due.
That was unbelievable.
That was an amazing start.
Like, where did he go?
Where did he restart?
10th to second.
10th to second.
And less than a lap.
Yeah, it was like in a half a laugh.
Yeah.
Unbelievable.
And I know that his progress.
It got him in the top 10, that restart.
His progress was helped by Newman's misfortunes.
And then that whole outside line get by it.
It still was impressive.
My gosh.
He was on the highest side of several rows behind Jr., by the way, on that restart.
Did he restart on the top?
It did. Wow.
Yeah, 10th the second.
I mean, it was unbelievable what he did.
And by the way, he is sort of going to become a teammate of Dale Earnhardt, in a way.
I mean, he's running the same chassis, the same engine starting next season.
I don't even want to think about that.
I'm just telling the truth, man.
It is the truth.
He made news this week.
He'll be with Stuart Haas next year.
All right.
Let's go to lap 298, where junior now is in 10th place.
After two restarts really hurt him, he is under the ninth and final caution,
and Junior comes to pit road for a four-tire stop,
which was a great move by Steve Lattard.
Only a few cars on the lead lack came, but it did get him some positions there in the end.
Here we go.
Got the good off of these tires.
They don't run that top very well.
We did do it.
I think we lost a couple.
We just see how it goes.
24 to go.
We got one set of stickers and a couple sets.
Well, he ends up finishing eighth.
He picks off Kevin Harvick there to get eighth in the.
end it was absolutely the right call so kudos to letart yeah for for making that move and you could hear
junior i mean all night he's asking about the points i mean he's going over 200 miles an hour picking
off harvick coming across the uh coming across the start finish line where am i on the points yeah
well here is where you are in the points you are 37 points dail anard junior ahead of jeff gordon
uh for 11th place so that puts dale junior in seventh position he um if the points were reshuffled
To start the chase, he would be in ninth.
Kurt Busch is the only other driver in the top 10 that's not won a race.
Or excuse me, well, Clint Boyer hasn't either,
but Boyer has more points.
So Boyer would be ahead of Dale Jr.
But Jr. would be in ninth that the points were reshuffled.
But he's in seventh right now, as things sit,
37 points ahead of 11th, and you're right about where he would have to finish.
Yeah, 32nd on the track with no laps lead.
I like our chances.
Go out and Richmond have a great race.
Richmond's one of his best tracks.
go up and see if you can get a win there.
But a very good position.
He's 21 points ahead of Joey Lugano, who had a great night, who's in eighth.
Greg Biffle is in ninth.
Kurt Busch in 10th.
Kurt Busch is six points ahead of Jeff Gordon for 10th spot.
Casey Kane, who is in 12th, has clenched a spot because he has a couple of wins.
Martin Truex, by the way, who thanks to Dale Jr. got a ride to Atlanta this weekend.
And had some very funny tweets that we need to talk about later, too.
He is in the last wildcard spot.
He has five points.
Here is where there's really, there's two places to watch this weekend, if you're interested in the points.
Kurt Busch, six points ahead of Gordon for 11th.
And then Truex, five points ahead of Newman for the final wild card spot.
And then Brad Kislauski is 28 points behind Kurt Busch for 10th place right now, the defending champion.
Isn't that amazing?
Yeah, he's done.
Yeah, I mean, how do you, you don't come back from that, really?
I don't, not in one race.
No, so that's really how things sit.
If he does, a lot of people are going to have bad nights because of it.
I mean, if he were able, I mean, it's going to have to be a big, big, big wreck that takes out a lot of cars.
All right, it is Junior Nation's favorite snack, Dale Jr. Potato chips.
If you haven't had them, do yourself a favor.
Go to Dale Jr. Foods.com and find out where you can buy them or place an order online.
you'll not regret it.
That's Dale Jr. Potato Chips at DaleJR. Foods.com.
Let's speed dial.
Okay, let's go to the phones now and talk to the man who had his chops busted by Mr. H there before the race started.
The replacement spotter for the number 88 team, Jeff Dickerson.
Jeff, it's Taylor and Mike here.
And let me ask you some witness stand questions here.
Okay.
Yes, sir.
First and foremost, tell us a little bit.
about your history because you have a history with Hendrik Motorsports and you also have a history
Junior Nation close your ears with Kyle Bush. So tell us, tell us about your history as a spotter.
Oh, I don't know, man. I've been doing it probably in NASCAR probably since 2002,
I guess. I guess it was with the old PPI 32 and Ricky Craven. You guys remember that?
Oh, yeah, yeah. And so Ricky,
when Alan Gustafin and I ran to each other in the garage area during its test,
and I guess it was probably April of 05.
And, you know, from that moment, went them to JGR.
And then Stevie brought me back, and I think that was in 2009 or 10,
to do the with Jeff.
So I got some history, obviously, with Hendrick.
And, you know, Mike, you may remember this.
You know what?
We were asking ourselves that.
were like, Taylor asked me if you'd ever spot it for Dale, and I couldn't recall if you had or not.
Well, as you guys will remember, in Texas in April of 2007, when Junior, I mean, I believe I was
part of why he, probably why he thought he was coming to Hendrick Motorsport.
When Junior climbed into the car, okay, so that's right.
That's right, yeah.
For those who don't know the story real quick, it was at Texas, and Kyle Bush had wrecked, right, Jeff, he wrecked in the race,
and had left the racetrack.
He didn't know where he was.
But the team had the car fixed and ready to go back out.
I think Dale Jr. had blown a motor that day.
Yep, yep.
And so Jr. was sitting there at the holler, and then Rick Pigeon came over and said,
hey, will you climb in the five car?
And Junior's like, hell yeah.
So Junior went back out, and there you go.
That's when you first spotted for Del Jr.
You were up there.
That's funny.
That was it.
That was it.
And, you know, this time it's funny for a couple days notice.
I have a plane going to Toronto.
And that's where Stevie and then Allen had sent me some text.
And I was like, if you guys can work this out with Turner, you know, I'll do it.
But, you know, I mean, I certainly wasn't expecting it.
Well, I landed.
And, you know, now I have, you know, just like 50 text.
And they're like, well, turn around.
And I'm like, guys, you know, I didn't grab Mr. H.
I'm here, you know.
I can maybe hop the first flight out in the morning.
That's what I did.
I was in Toronto for seven hours and turned around.
There you go.
But if Mr. H wants to send the Gulfstream, you know.
Yeah.
You want to send me a bird, right.
Otherwise, I'll watch some, drink some Moulson and hang out here.
Let's talk about the race here, Jeff.
Go back to the vibration part.
Junior was talking about a loose wheel, a possible loose wheel.
I can't recall what caused the caution,
but he was really close of hitting pit road,
and you kept him out of the track.
I mean, not working with him in the past, right?
So when he says he has a vibration, right?
I mean, when you work with a guy long enough,
you know, whether it's, hey, man, I got a little bit or it's a code red.
You know, I mean, you can tell from their voice.
I remember saying in that moment was 280 laps left or, you know, six hours left in this race
because that race just seems like it just takes forever.
Right.
You know, just sort of be safe, especially with, you know, where you guys were at in, you know,
chase position or something, you know, right.
When he was, I mean, Junior was, he was coming.
I mean, he slowed down.
He was, and, you know, I would like to take, you know, a lot of credit for that.
I think all spotters, you know what I mean, especially at that level,
I think you just, you know, you're tuned into it.
And right when he spun, it was just like, you know, come on, don't stop.
The third to last restart, we had finally got up to the top five starting on the outside row.
What did you see from your vantage point up on the roof?
I was like, this is easy.
We're going to, those races are set up where, you know, you can't win them early,
but you can certainly lose them.
And we had dodged a couple bullets to get to that point.
So now it's like, you know, 30 or 40 to go or something like that,
which is what Junior really wanted.
And it's like, you know, when you're starting on that top lane
and we had in your 10th, 12, 14th, you know, you're waiting for, you know,
there's seven guys that can screw it up in front of you.
When you're starting fourth, there's only one guy that can screw it up for you
and sure as hell, he did.
He did.
Yeah.
And he didn't get going.
And, you know, the one kind of had us off the, you know,
our rear wheels off the ground.
and it was just because, you know, you get, by the time we get to turn one,
now the caution's out.
Yeah.
So, you know what I'm saying?
So it's like we didn't even get a chance to make it up.
We had before that, but by the time we got the turn one, he was lit up pretty good,
and we got those spots back.
Yeah.
This time we didn't have a chance because I think the caution had come out.
And so now we're restarting eighth, and then another caution comes out.
And, you know what I mean?
So now we're, come back.
You know, we get four tires, I think.
That's right.
That's right.
So, yeah, restarted 14th or 16th or 14th.
Yeah, restarted 14th and then climbed up six positions.
Yeah, so it just, you know, it's just, it would have been really good.
I mean, I know we salvaged something there, and I know I think, you know,
Junior was obviously happy with it and very, you know, when we, you know,
when we cross and the whole deal.
So, you know, I think we, you know, we obviously salvaged something, but, man,
but I really think if we just, if we just get to get to turn one,
I think we'll at least come and second and leaving,
And I know we had a better car than the 39, especially on a longer run.
I do think we win that race.
And then you tweet a picture to T.J. Majors from Victory Lane, right?
That's right.
That's right.
Yeah, say see you later, Wally, Pip.
Yeah, no, no, no, for sure.
It was funny.
We were flying home after practice on Saturday, and J.R. was in there.
I said the junior, like, you're going to tell them we're best friends when you get there, right?
And so, yeah.
That's awesome.
That's good stuff.
Yeah, it's good to hear you say that.
about the speed and how you feel like he had a car that could contend for the win
because that was our perspective as well.
And Richmond is one of his best tracks.
So Saturday night should be fun, man.
Yeah, for sure.
For sure.
Well, we're looking forward to hearing your voice.
And the good news is you'll be home on Sunday.
The wife will be happy.
So there you go.
Yeah.
There you go.
All right, man.
Jeff, thank you for joining us, man.
This won't be our last visit.
We appreciate you.
All right.
Thanks, guys.
All right.
See, Jeff Dickerson,
joining us here on Speeddoll.
All right, let's play some reaction theater.
All right, not only we did go,
we went from fourth to tenth and two restarts.
Now we're going to pit and go all the way back to 14th.
All right, let's see how this works out.
Woo-ah, go down.
Well, it worked out okay.
It did work out okay, but I can understand
why people were frustrated at the moment.
Next.
Start running, fat ass.
That's a call out today of the junior fan.
People were giving him a hard time.
I'm on Twitter.
And I think he's actually got somebody.
He's got a troll.
He's got a troll.
He's got several.
That's funny.
Next.
Woo-hoo.
In place.
We lost.
We suck.
Boo.
Man.
I know.
That's a tough crowd there.
It is a tough crowd.
Yeah.
Next.
Almighty and most merciful father,
we humbly beseeched thee of the great goodness
to restrain this in moderate bad restarts that Dale Jr.
has had to contend.
Grant Dale Jr. the power to gain positions on restarts
and graciously hearken the 88 National Guard team
as soldiers who call the Pondi that armed with the due power,
Dale Jr. may advance from consistency to victory
and crush his opponents and establish thy justice as champion.
This is Sarah Romeo Folsom. Out.
I have to tell you, man, I'm Episcopalian.
If you're Catholic or Episcopalian and you hear that right now,
That's creepy.
I mean, that's Holy Eucharist right one there.
Hey, you got to take it.
These restarts, you got to take it to a higher calling.
I guess so.
I mean, that guy did.
Wow.
Ooh, next.
You know, because I started running,
gotten in pretty good shape.
If you're listening to Max Pappas,
if you need some help around the track,
you know, for a set of credentials for the rest of the year,
I'll protect your ass
So if you don't get
Blasped anymore
We'll hang out
I promise you won't get
B'u'lapped anymore
I think he means to worry less about Max and more
About the dog that's chasing him down the road
Yeah
He was huffing and puffing there
And we'll talk more about Pappas here
In just a minute
Suffered a dislocated jaw
From the slap
We got more to play
Here we go
Well you know
Normally when I'm calling in
I'm either pissed off or real excited.
I'm just indifferent tonight.
I mean, it was an okay run.
I mean, I know Ace isn't just okay,
eighth nights, whatever it ended up being,
it isn't just okay for NASCAR Sprint Cup race.
It's a good run, but I'm just, I'm not looking for the mediocrity anymore.
I want to fucking win, man.
I know we all want to fucking win, but I'm just hoping we're saving it for the
chase.
Dale yeah.
You speak for the overwhelming majority of people that are listening to this podcast right now.
You have to understand, and listen, I've had to be educated on this.
You have to understand that you've got to get into the chase.
The chase is the first and foremost, the thing to do.
I think that it'll be interesting to see in Richmond.
I would imagine the first 30, 40 laps or so you'll see some smart driving from Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Then once he knows that, you know what, your position is.
is safe.
You're in the chase.
Then you're going to see a guy the rest of that race go for the win.
Then the following 10 races, I think that that guy right there speaks for everybody.
That's a good call right there.
It was.
I liked it.
Next.
Okay.
I know I haven't had that much to drink because I'm only on the second beer.
But why does Rick keep asking for Bob Hope?
Yeah.
Did you notice that?
During the race, and it was on Dale Jr.'s radio chatter on his radio channel.
Oh, he was asking somebody to come down.
He was asking something.
It wasn't Bob Hope, but I know what she's talking about.
It sounded like it.
But the bigger issue is the fact that he's on Dales during the race on the radio chatter.
I didn't notice that.
I don't think he meant to be.
I don't know.
I don't think he thought he was.
I think he thought he was on the digital and he wasn't.
The funny thing to me, the funniest part about that to me was,
is you can tell this man owns car dealerships, lots of them.
Because that, he's talking in total, like, intercom car dealership mode.
Bob Hope, please report to service.
Bob Hope.
Please report to service.
I mean, like, it was so I owned a car dealership intercom mode.
Yeah.
It was hilarious.
But maybe you don't want to do it on Dale's channel during the race.
Yeah.
Because Junior heard that too.
Yeah.
If we heard it, Junior heard it.
Yeah.
That's funny.
Yeah.
Jeff Dickerson, please report to the showroom.
Jeff Dickerson to the showroom.
Next.
Hey, TJ, get better soon.
Get back to the track.
I know your team missed you this weekend.
I'm not sure what to say about your replacement up there this weekend.
At some point to the race, I wasn't sure if he was going to try to give Dale Jr. a surf report
or tell him you're going to hang 10 on the high side.
Get well, get back to the track, man.
We missed you.
We need you.
Just not the same way out yet.
That is funny.
That is funny.
But, I mean, I'm a redneck, good old boy from Alabama, and I say, bro.
I don't tell you.
That is hilarious, Tim, Brock.
Yeah.
Oh, my goodness.
A surf report.
We need to send that Dickerson.
Yeah.
Next.
Oh, it was a pretty good race last night.
I noticed that old Rowdy's starting to win over that crowd.
Junior Nation needs to take a stand and put a stop at that shit.
You know what's interesting is Rowdy is looking for the booze.
He wants the booze.
He's like he embraces the NWO bad guy, you know, heel, wrestler, which is fun.
I mean, it does make it fun.
But you could kind of tell he was disappointed to a degree like, y'all are cheering for me now?
You know what I mean?
He was kind of like, wait a minute.
What's happened here?
You know, so I did notice that.
I see what he's saying there.
I know that Junior Nation probably is.
Yeah, I bet there are a few that weren't cheering.
Last one.
I can't believe it.
We had another top five car.
But, of course, we get screwed over on the restart and we're finishing.
I was at a big fiesta tonight.
hoping the junior would have a win, but instead it's Kyle Busch again.
I'll get you guys just make some good calls for once.
Just want to win.
Oh, by the way, I'm not really Dan the Junior fan.
Good job tonight, Jr.
Dale yeah!
Is that the guy that impersonates Harry Carey?
Yeah.
Same guy?
Yeah. That's funny.
Yeah, there you go.
That's a pretty good day in the junior.
It wasn't bad.
I know.
It wasn't bad.
Reaction theater is hilarious.
It's open 24-7.
Dale Jr. loves it.
Every time I see him at the track, he always talks about it.
All you have to do is call toll-free.
1850-7-40-190-2 toll-free.
That's right.
And actually, I've got some people on Twitter say that they still call toll-free.
1-8-5-7-40-190-2.

Before we go to White Flag, there are several things I need to mention.
Max Pappas had his jaw dislocated by another driver's girlfriend in the race in Canada.
So Jeff Dickerson missed some fireworks there in Canada.
It was a driver making his first.
ever NASCAR star, wasn't it?
Mike Skeen's girlfriend,
dislapped the fire out of Max Pappas.
Pappas said, what do you do?
You don't hit a lady.
I was in disbelief.
Complete disbelief.
If she would have closed her hand,
it would have been a bad punch
because she hit me so freaking hard.
I went to Mike Skeen and said,
I guess we know who the man is in the family here
because the guy didn't even get the guts,
didn't have the guts to talk.
But by the way, these quotes come from Marty Smith.
and I just, I would have loved to have heard that conversation.
He calls Pappas to say, hey, boy, what happened here, man?
But that's on ESPN.com.
You can check it out.
I could be alone on this, but I don't mind at all when the wives or girlfriends get involved.
Biffle's girlfriend.
That was one of the greatest moments in NASCAR history.
There should be a corner in the Hall of Fame with Biffle's old lady and Eva on the pit box yelling at each other.
Also, on Labor Day, yesterday, Martin Truex tweets.
So we're riding on the pontoon out on Lake Norman, and some bleephole came by on a jet ski and soaked us on purpose.
What is wrong with people?
Jimmy Johnson retweet it and said, sorry, I couldn't help myself.
I thought that was pretty funny.
That's good stuff.
And I just got a tweet from Carter Johnson, Coonskin, who said, I bet you didn't know I could drive the ball 350 yards.
Just out of nowhere.
He sends me, Coonskin sends me that.
week. As random as Coonskin is, every week. We can't control that guy. So lots of off the grid stuff this
week. All right, let's throw the white flag. There you go, Woody White Flag. It is a huge week of
