The following is a production of Dirtymo Media.
Oh, yeah, this is the way it's going to be, girl.
We're going to hang out.
Open a bunch of jars.
You've got big strong hands.
Are you suffering from Highcraft?
I'm working.
Working that mouth.
Hey, guys.
I'm in the Dirty Moe Media studio for another round of bless your heart with everyone's favorite mechanic, Dylan Hart Jr.
He's stressed for work today.
Yeah.
because he's got plans.
Yes, I do.
I have, I'm racing late models in Newport next weekend.
My car is sitting at my shop right now without a part.
From the firewall forward, it is not got a part on it.
The clip?
Yeah, the whole front clip is completely bare.
And all the guys are racing at the big Lake Model stock race in Martinsville this weekend, 300.
So all the, all the people in the shop are there doing that.
that. And so...
So you're going to have the shop to yourself?
I'm going to have the shop to myself.
You're going to be working on this car unsupervised.
And I'm going to put the car, put the front on it.
All by yourself?
I'm by myself.
Is that possible?
Piece cake.
Don't you need like another set of hands to help you lift stuff?
They could have done it in the past couple of days, but I told them not to touch it
that I wanted to do it.
I want to see it.
I want to put it back together.
So when I go to Newport, I will have a good memory of what the front end settings are.
And so that.
So you can work on it?
Just so I can have a better opportunity to maybe adjust it and make it faster.
So you can work on it, yeah.
I get it.
You want to help so you're in charge of it so you can participate when you get there.
And the late model stock car, the last handful of races I've ran,
I've not really been happy at all with the way the car is raced or the way that I've ran.
So we cut the front clip off and put a new front clip off.
and put a new front clip on it.
The car's been banged around.
I've bounced it off walls
and different things over the last handful of races.
So we just got the...
You got something hanging out of your nose.
What?
Good?
Yeah.
All right.
But I, yeah, so I'm going to...
I'm going to put...
Go where?
I'm going to...
The late model shop to try to get a little head start on getting it put back together.
So I don't understand what the front clip is.
Like, tell me again.
What are you doing?
The front of the car, basically,
the firewall that's in front of my feet.
Like for me, like a clip is like something I put in my hair.
I know. So the firewall is the literal
wall on right in right in front of my feet between me and the motor.
Uh-huh. Right. What's that right out of?
Steel. Oh. So the firewall is
the firewall is basically the same thing in your street car between you and the engine.
It's a wall of metal. Yeah, I've never seen that. I've never seen what that looks like.
It's just what it's called. I don't take my car apart. I know, but like, like,
It's the whole car.
Like everything.
I think you still got the thing in your nose, Dale.
Really?
Yeah.
When you're fucking me?
You should probably fix it.
Every time you breathe in and out, it like flies out and it goes back in.
It doesn't.
Yes, it does.
You can't feel it tickling your face?
No.
I want to take a picture.
It ain't nothing.
It ain't nothing.
Oh, maybe it's just my bad eyesight since I'm 44.
Yeah.
I don't know what this is.
I think she's messing with you.
Yeah, I don't know.
Okay, so you're going to the late model shop.
You're going to be all by yourself.
What happens if you hurt yourself?
Like, what happens if you accidentally drop something on your finger or your foot or you hit your head and fall down?
Like, what happens since you're going to be all by yourself?
I'm not going to hit my head, fall down.
Are you sure?
Yeah.
If you get on one of those little rolly things and you fall off.
Nope.
You know, those things you lay down on your back and you kind of roll around the floor on.
What are those called?
creeper?
A creeper?
What if you start creeping around
and you fall off?
I'm not.
Okay.
Keep going.
So you're going to do that?
Yeah.
So everything from everything in front of the firewall,
there's nothing there,
no motor,
nothing, no suspension.
So you don't have to put the motor in,
you're just messing with it?
I'm just going to put suspension on it.
What's the suspension?
That's the thing the tires bolt to.
The tires bolt to the wheels bolt to,
yeah.
The front suspension,
steering, arms and all that stuff.
You still have the thing.
Hang on, you guys.
I see it flying out.
Again.
Yes, I do.
It must be the fuzz from that shirt you just put on.
It's not. I look.
There's nothing.
You're messing with them, right?
There's nothing.
Yeah, I mess with you.
You look cute, though.
I like your shirt.
Matches your vibe.
I'm going to go.
I got this shirt out of the Junior Motorsports shop.
It's $45.
Right here. Coliseum makes it. It's got a little hoodie on the back.
I like how simple it is. Yeah.
It's kind of chilly outside. It came in and short sleeves. Yeah, I did. I didn't realize that we had changed seasons. It was sort of abrupt.
It did come fast. It did come in hard, didn't it? Yeah.
Let's talk about our drink. We've got a really tasty drink sitting here. It's called the Apple cider spritz.
Want to tell them what's in it? You obviously got one ounce of high rock vodka.
two ounces of apple cider and you put a little sparkling wine,
maybe a little cinnamon stick.
You don't have any garnishes.
You got a little apples.
Yeah, I don't do garnish.
You can garnish it with apples and cinnamon.
And my glasses rimmed too with cinnamon sugar.
It's delicious.
The only garnish that I like are little limes.
And if it's a beer or a margarita only.
So visit high rock vodka.com to find a bottle near you.
please remember to drink responsibly.
We went over in depth what the store locator is.
Yeah.
If you don't already know like Dale,
the store locator is where you find the store.
And it'll tell you where the products are.
The website has the store locator on it at high rock vodka.com.
It'll say, hey, there's a bottle 20 minutes away in this store.
Go get it.
You got to be 21 or over though if you want it.
So speaking of a drink of the week,
this isn't in your notes.
I know how that annoys you.
I just saw something this morning on social media where the NFL find two individual players.
So, Amy.
This was dumb.
Yeah.
There's a, there's a football.
It already sounds dumb.
There's a football player for the 49ers and his nickname is Juice.
Yeah.
So he had a sell.
He did something in the game and players do celebrations.
They get a first down.
They do the motion, the hand motion.
Well, this guy's name's juice.
So his celebration there, as you see on the screen, is he's just drinking some juice.
He's just doing a motion.
Oh, like he's drinking.
I'm chugging a beverage of some kind.
Yes.
An imaginary beverage.
All right.
So he gets this.
Now on the Colts, Indianapolis Colts scored a touchdown.
And the receiver handed the ball to one of his linemen, an offensive guard.
and he pretended to pop the top and chug it like a beer, the football itself.
And so additionally, during the Cowboys' Commanders game,
I believe the tight end for the Dallas Cowboys scored
and also did basically like a shotgun.
Like he popped the beer and turned it up like this to shoot shotgun.
He did not receive a fine from the NFL.
He didn't.
They must have missed that one.
But the 49er player and the Colts player,
each had fines, monetary fines,
for this celebration because it was offensive.
Who are we offending?
I'm not sure.
Alcohol's not even illegal.
Like, who are we offending?
And why are they, like, if his nickname is juice
and if we're drinking juice.
He's not even holding a beer.
Like, he's not holding anything.
It's an imaginary moment.
And then the other guy that popped the top.
The NFL has a...
Stop.
Oh, yeah. The NFL has a beer sponsor, of course.
Somebody peed in that person's Cheerios that morning,
and then they decided just to take it out on everybody else,
whoever it was.
Like, the guy that popped the top,
he could have been celebrating with a Sprite or a soda of any sort.
A juice box.
A juice box.
Like, the other guy.
I usually could give a shi-less how ridiculous the NFL wants to be.
But when they're finding guys for chugging beer,
and 49ers guy doesn't even drink beer.
He's not, he doesn't even drink alcohol.
Apparently, he's like, you know, just not a beer drinker.
Pure? He's just not a beer.
His nickname's Juice.
Well, his last name's Juice, yeah.
His last name is ridiculously long.
Now his teammates are starting to call him beer now.
Yeah, which is funny.
And they're Photoshop.
Well, AIing him drinking and stuff.
I read a tweet about this and I just responded,
what are we doing?
And now my entire timeline is all of this.
Yeah.
from the players, the running back for the Colts.
Taylor, he commented, here's George Kittal.
The players are commenting on your tweet?
No, no, no, no.
Their comp, now my feed is sending me all of the other algorithm.
I got it.
And so George Kittle, who's tied in for the 49ers,
is joking about his teammate who got fined.
I'd Kittle on my team last year.
Yeah, Kittle.
So it's interesting.
It is stupid.
Do you see what NASCAR did?
What did NASCAR do?
Oh, NASCAR jumped in on it.
NASCAR jumped in on it and kudos to whoever did it.
Let's see it.
The National Fun League and it's a photo of a couple guys with beer.
I love it.
Way to go NASCAR.
So you got Cole Custer chugging a couple beers as he does when he wins races.
And for them to say the National Fun League.
Like, well done.
A little flying pretty close to the sun.
Yeah, I love it.
Yeah.
the National Fun League.
Yeah.
No, they don't have a problem.
NASCAR didn't have a problem poking a little bit of fun at the NFL.
I wish they'd stop moving their races around.
Wait, what?
Well, they move the start times of their races because the NFL's so big and powerful.
But I wish we would have one o'clock start times like everybody really wants.
Oh.
But.
I wish it started at 11 a.m.
Right after church.
That would be nice.
It would be nice.
Right after church?
Right after church.
Right after church.
Start 11.
Right.
People go to church at 10.
No, it isn't.
Church starts at 10 o'clock.
Nine or 10?
Yeah.
The hell.
When was the last time you went?
Pastor Dale here.
Yeah.
Back in my day when I was going to church, it was from 11 to 12.
Wow.
And I assumed that.
In the 1800s, that's when they did it.
I assumed it still is.
is.
No.
They have a service that starts at like eight and then they have a service usually that starts
at 10 and there's Sunday school in between.
So they changed it just like everything, just like everything else?
Yeah.
My goodness.
They changed it so they could get home and watch football, I guess.
Stuff doesn't need to change.
Church from 11 to 12.
Just the way it was just fine.
But then what do you do in the morning?
You're wasting a lot of time.
Yeah.
You get up, make yourself, you know, egg sandwich.
And hang out until 11?
Speaking of egg sandwiches, Amy,
rave reviews on your egg sandwich from Dale this week.
I'm madden of them this morning.
Yeah, I've been cooking a lot of food lately instead of just waiting for people to figure it out for themselves.
I've been cooking more.
I made stew yesterday too.
Well, I've learned to be patient.
Like, I usually get up, run in there, grab some sort of a fig bar or something.
There's always like protein bars and stuff like that in the pantry.
I grab a drink and grab one of them bars.
And then I eat and then like 30 minutes later, Amy plops down this amazing.
eating egg sandwich in front of him. I'm like, damn it, I should have not ate that fig bar.
So now I'm going down there and I'm like, I'm not going to grab the bar immediately and
just going to scope out the kitchen, see what's going on.
There's always plenty of food. He just isn't patient, like he said. And so, yeah, he usually
uses up his calories. Are you an over medium, over easy egg? How do you prefer the egg on the
sandwich? Don't care. Well, how do you prefer it, though?
I don't have a preference.
Did you see?
In my belly.
He likes, so he, here's the thing I'm not good at with eggs.
I don't like runny eggs at all.
And he will eat a sunny side-off egg where it's runny if he's got toast or whatever to mess with.
I don't care.
So I've tried to do that and I inevitably pop the over every time I flip it over.
I don't like my eggs the same every time.
Do a different.
I love that.
And you know, I don't really love scrambled eggs on a sandwich.
No, he doesn't.
I fall off.
I fry it up.
I like my egg.
If I'm eating eggs.
sandwich, I want the egg to be fried, most likely.
I have scrambled when I'm not eating it on a sandwich.
I tried to fry the egg, though, and put it in a sandwich, and it was not cooked well enough,
and it's, like, squirted it all over a shirt.
I don't care.
That's fine.
Okay.
What's in the bag there, Dale?
Oh.
Now I have a feeling you're about to all play a joke on me.
Well, I just, I kind of regret eating all of that.
Not a joke.
I kind of regret eating all of that egg sandwich this morning because I figured it'd be a good time
for us to have. Is this the boat cheesecake? I have some boat cheesecake. I thought you said it was on a stick.
No. Here. This is weird. Now I get why Tim didn't want to try it. It's like, this looks like it came from the gas station.
Here you got. No, I ain't smacking on cheesecake in the microphone. No.
Hold this too. We got salvaging now. I ain't eating this. It looks so good.
Junior's a little fella. I didn't even know that it was. They'll ask me to get you some cheesecake.
I didn't even know.
It's called that.
Junior's a little fella.
And it's orange.
It's got an orange label.
Do you own this?
And we don't even know about this?
It's awesome.
Where'd you find this, Travis?
The grocery store.
At the grocery.
After last week, Dale said, hey, can you go get cheesecake to bring in for this week?
Can we eat it at that very end?
You can eat it.
I will lose it.
It'll be like...
Me wearing all this jewelry around my neck with you start smacking on this in the microphone.
It's cute, juniors, little fella.
Yep.
Cheesecake.
We're doing this show a day late because I had to go to Vegas for our friends at Arby's.
And me and Stefan went out there.
I was supposed to go out there, do the thing, come home.
But the weather here was a little bad.
So the ceiling was super low.
And we decided to spend the night.
night. And we stayed at the Cosmopolitan. It was awesome. What do you and Stefan do when you have free time?
All right. So we got there. It's a great question, Travis. We got there. We did a Q&A on stage in front of a lot of Arby's owners.
And that was fun and easy. And we got done and went over to the Cosmo, checked in through our
throw our bags in our rooms and met downstairs.
We go to, there's a bar called the chandelier bar or something like that.
Dead center of the casino, we had a beer.
And we went upstairs to try to get a reservation later for dinner.
So we got a reservation at the sushi restaurant upstairs.
Then we went over in the Cosmo.
There's a little food court.
It's very similar to what you'd see at a mall back in the day.
and at the very back of the food court, there's a door you can go through into a speak-easy or a hidden margarita bar.
It's the best.
Have you been in there?
No.
It's really small.
The margaritas is really good too.
I haven't been to Vegas since I've been 21.
Really?
The margarita bar is about the size of the booth you're in.
It is.
It's really small.
I mean, it's maybe twice that size, but it's very small.
So we sat down and we had two margaritas.
We got pretty tuned up there.
That explains the text messages that were like redundant.
Dale had already, we'd already talked,
I already knew Dale was staying.
I never remind you that I was there.
He just really wanted you to know what he was doing.
Hey, because of weather, Steph and I are staying.
I'm like, I'm aware.
We are fully planning for all of the things.
We're good.
So we had a couple margarias,
and then we went downstairs and played some slot machines.
And then they had this little machine.
It's really big,
and you sit around it in a circle and play roulette.
And the roulette's in the middle.
Now,
You can go to the board and you can go to the roulette table and play.
I played a little bit of that, but Stefan wasn't comfortable playing roulette at the table because he'd never play before.
So we went to the machine and where it does it all for you.
And we sat down and played a little while.
That was pretty fun.
And then we went over to the sports book and played the little poker table, video poker on the bar.
We did that a while, play a little blackjack.
And then we ate.
Where'd you eat, Do?
I mean, you said it was a sushi joint, but like, where in the restaurant did you eat?
Oh, so I walk up to the video screen and you got this little QR code you scan to do your reservation.
And I just said, seven o'clock, Stephen?
He goes, yeah, it's fine.
All right, man.
Two for seven o'clock.
Send it in.
It sends you an email.
You got a reservation for seven for two.
Okay, great.
we show up. I walk up to the desk and say, hey, here for Earnhardt, Table 2.
She goes, all right. And they walked us over to the bar.
Yes. Set us down.
Romantic dinner for 2 sitting at the bar. Who would have thought that was acceptable behavior?
I didn't mind because we were facing the grill. And so we got to watch, like right in front of us,
this guy is making apps and stuff.
And this other guy's
Like dinner and a show at the bar
Yeah
This guy's over here
And they're very
It's you know
It's Vegas
Everything's like
Perfectly put together
And so we're watching this guy
Make this stuff
And then these other guys over here
Grilling steaks and
Throwing f***ing
Foggled everywhere
And I'm like man
This is badass
These guys are
These guys are really good
Badass
Badass dinner at the bar
I mean it could have been worse
How in the hell
Did that happen for you?
It wouldn't be better though
If it was something Stefan
At a booth
Well they were
There was some folks
They were
I had, there was a person sitting right next to me, you know, I didn't prefer it, but they were fine.
We didn't talk.
He sent me the picture or a video, actually.
He's like, look what I'm eating?
I'm like, I immediately get jealous.
I'm like, you're at the bar?
You'll do that with Stefan?
You wouldn't eat at the bar?
He's like, I don't have a choice.
Yeah.
Like, well, I didn't ask for the bar seat.
I thought that they would put us at a table.
We walked by lots of tables that they could have set us down at.
No, it's they, because people were.
prefer to sit at the bar because there's something to watch and it's like casual it would have been awkward if you and stephen who are not dating had gone and sitting at like a two top table in a restaurant versus sitting at the bar right i don't think so isn't it more normal for two dudes to like just go sit at the bar together yeah when keller and i go get like we're probably going to go get drinks and whatever later food and like we're going to go sit at the bar yeah okay feels feels like casual and normal i didn't prefer it but it's how it went down uh the food
was insane.
And I got a
I got a crab beet salad
thing that was pretty good. And then
some steak, some beef.
That was really awesome.
And
Adamami.
Adamami?
Yeah. Atomami.
Anybody else say it like that? No.
I don't know. How else do you say it?
How does you say it?
What doesn't end in a why?
Edomami
Edomame
Evan how do you say it?
I'm all forgiven deal crap
I think this one
We're going to have to side with him
Edomami?
Yeah
I would say that's how I say it
Really?
Yeah
No
Ademami
I think we talked about this before
I feel like I'm having
Dejave
Well we've had talks about
Your pronunciations before
Yeah plenty of those
Well
We got done with that
And we went back downstairs
And we went back downstairs
And we played
Slot Machine some more
and I was
Yeah, I think you still
That thing's coming out.
And so
And so
we're sitting there
playing slot machines
and there's a couple
observations that I had.
So the cosmopolitan's awesome.
Every time we go to Vegas
they always take care of us
and we were,
we decided that we're even
staying the night last minute
and they made sure
we had a place of sleep.
So,
but things have changed in Vegas.
So,
don't go as much anymore.
And God, it feels like a long time.
I know it hasn't been, but it feels like forever since I've sat on a casino floor
playing slot machines, drink a beer.
But there are, at least this particular night, there are, when you go sit down in a
slot machine, what's the best thing about aside from winning money, but say you know
you're going to sit down and you're probably not going to win any money, but you do it anyways
because free drinks.
Free drinks.
well I remember as long as I've been going to Vegas like man you they'll ask you if you want to drink every few minutes
like you can hardly keep up with it yeah and you're like you know you never without an opportunity
to drink a beer or whatever it is you want to have well I would say that there were far far less
waitresses walking around offering drinks.
And on the entire floor,
I might have saw two dedicated waitresses to the slot machines.
And so you had to like,
instead of like sitting there playing a slot machine,
you kind of had to have your be turned around looking
for her to come back through.
If you wanted to flag her down
and try to get you, get you a beer.
And so what,
What they have replaced all of those servers with are these folks walking around asking you if you want a massage.
Now there were many.
So for every waitress, every waitress walking around trying to say, hey man, you want to drink,
there were two or three folks walking around offering you like a neck or shoulder massage.
They must just have a lot of people just sitting there for hours on end playing.
and they don't want them to get up.
Like I don't mind the idea that, hey, man, you know, maybe people would like massages.
They're sitting here playing hours and hours.
The waitresses, though, should be outnumbering the massage therapist, for sure.
Like free drinks.
Like, that's why I sit and play slots because I'm losing my ass here.
He was sitting there playing the penny slots, too.
He sent me a picture of his thing, which are not supposed to take pictures of you.
You're not supposed to have your phone out.
But he sent me a picture, and I was like, is that pennies?
Because the number was huge.
and I tried to assume it was a penny slot.
And he said yes.
And then I thought, well, I feel like that's super weird because they don't, like, pennies aren't real anymore.
Like pennies aren't real money anymore, right?
But you're not putting a penny in.
I know, but like the value of the penny.
Amy believes since they have done away with the penny that they shouldn't have,
penny slots shouldn't be a thing anymore.
Kind of.
That doesn't make sense.
How do they pay you out?
I mean, I know you're getting a ticket, but eventually you have to turn it in for money.
That's what happens, Travis.
Like, you go to the counter and they give you money.
What if there's pennies?
This is a rough take, ain't it?
What if there's three pennies?
And what do you do?
Donate it?
You round off?
I bet it.
I'll be damn if I'm printing that flip out.
I'm just going to get up and leave.
Not just three pennies.
They still have, like, like, circulation.
They take my three pennies slip to the next machine.
Also, how many people are getting the money in, like, you can get it in, like, you can get it in,
you don't have to get in cash.
Well, so, no, it prints you the ticket, but then you take the ticket to the cashier,
and then they give you the cash.
So what I'm saying is if you've got like a thousand pennies,
a thousand and three or whatever, like, what happens with the leftover?
Like, what happens with the penny pennies?
P pennies are still in circulation.
Are they?
It's last time you use one.
Well, I don't know that somebody use a dollar bill either.
Are a dollar bill is not in circulation?
No, but we already know they haven't gotten rid of that yet, Travis.
But, like, you're still, nobody's putting a penny in, so you can still have penny slots.
Yeah.
Yeah, but I still think it's weird.
Like, if we're going to just get rid of it, like Pluto, like we got rid of Pluto.
But the only way that a penny is even going to come into matter is if it's one, two, three, or four.
Like, if it's, like.
Right.
So what happens then?
They have pennies.
Do they?
Somebody help us.
Do they have pennies?
Oh, there's still pennies out there.
I know that they're out there.
No, I mean, you know, if you go up to the cat, if you go out to the cash rest or the gas station, man's got pennies to give you if you need them.
What about in Vegas, though?
They don't do anything.
They ain't hanging on to pennies.
In Vegas, they don't, they don't handle, they don't mess with change.
I'm guessing a lot of people get their money back via, like, their card that they're using or whatever.
Like, how many people are like...
You can't do that?
Can you do that?
Well, we need to take Travis to Vegas.
I try, listen.
I full on expected you to have real, like,
experience in a place like that considering who you are and what you like to do i played the penny
slot amy was making fun of me i won six hundred dollars how much did you put in there 100
and then i lost it he always loses it Vegas always wins for dale you can ask steven we
i was up 600 bucks so i lost it and then i went to another machine another penny slot machine and
I made another 600 on it, but I kept it.
And then you went to do that.
And put it in my pocket.
I brought it home.
So, but the other thing I was thinking about, now, y'all tell me this.
So I asked Chad about this, and Chad said there's no, there's no research that would, that would say this is correct.
But I do know this.
So if you own a casino, and I want to hear everybody else's opinion about this.
So if you own a casino in Vegas, there's rules.
They have a commission, and they make sure that they come in there and audit your machines,
and they make sure that your machines are paying out of, there's a range that your machines have to be in in terms of payout.
You can just, you can adjust the machines.
They can be super strict and not pay out anything.
They can be just giving all kinds of money away.
So you can, obviously the software in the machine can be changed and adjusted.
Not every single slot machine has the same odds.
And so, but the commission makes sure that they fit in this little window of, you know,
giving the consumer a fair chance.
And they go to the casinos and they audit the machines and run checks and balances
to make sure that the casinos are all on the up and up, right?
And so I believe that, and I was telling Steve in this,
as it was down on the floor,
I said, man, we need to find the machines that are tucked away in the corner
that have the worst foot traffic.
Like, if I'm a casino guy and I want a casino,
and I've got to have these good machines on the floor,
I'm putting them where there ain't nobody really messing around.
And so all the machines that don't pay,
shit, I'm going to put them where they're easiest to access.
That's actually...
Doesn't that seem like that's what you would do?
Right?
And so, but Chad said, no evidence.
This does make sense.
Yes, it's good in theory, but there's no evidence.
And I'm like, I don't know, man.
So the two machines that I played that I made 600 bucks a piece on,
sitting there for only about 20, 30 minutes apiece,
um, playing just pennies was
way they were one of them was way in the corner beside beside these two double door like
sketchy looking exits like if it was you know a place caught on fire you that's what you
haul ass to that what one of yeah the emergency yeah it's like an emergency exit yeah it's like an emergency
exit is the emergency exit route well i was sitting there that heavy fire door like yeah if you hit
the fire alarm goes off i was sitting there playing in the the like all kinds of employees of the
casino were walking past me to go through this one door
so it must be like...
Oh, it's like the access.
The way to get behind the curtain, so to speak,
to go to the break room or whatever,
or use the bathroom.
And so all I was in a,
it was a real place to sit
if you were just kind of hanging out
in a casino trying to have fun.
This slot machine was off in the corner somewhere.
And so I think that's true.
I think that they put the good slot machines
in the most least likely place
where somebody's going to sit down and go,
man, this is great.
I'm going to sit here and I'm going to enjoy,
you know,
That might be why also I didn't get many free drinks offered.
Because you were in the armpit of the casino.
Probably.
The real story is I was hiding.
They weren't hiding.
I was the one that was hiding.
The waitresses couldn't find me.
I did some research.
And Las Vegas Review Journal has a article about the pennies.
And a representative said,
the event pennies are unavailable for payouts.
Amounts owed to players would be rounded up to the nearest nickel or dime,
regardless of the amount.
See?
No pennies.
They're like, we're done.
Carry on messing with those stupid things.
So if you want, you know, you'd try to, you know, you could do a scheme where you landed on like three pennies and make two pennies every time you try to cash out.
Yes.
Every time you cash out, go back, cash out.
Two pennies.
You could make like 10 cents if you sat there on a lot of.
You could really run a gamut if you've got millions of people to do this.
They'd probably run you out.
Sir, we're not catching you out for this.
13 cents here.
The Pennymeister.
Well, I had fun.
We were yawning at 9.30.
I was asleep in my hotel room by 10.
Well, I mean, it's a long day.
It's one day flying all the way out there.
It was 1230 to your body, you know?
Yeah.
It sucks because I was awake again at 3.30.
Well, I got to take, I look, I went to bed because just like Travis said, you started getting
really chatty.
and I was like, I'm just going to go to sleep.
And I woke up this in the morning to get the girls ready for school at 6.
And I had texts from him at 2 o'clock in the morning, like 10, 11.30, 2 o'clock in the morning.
Like, you were, it sounds, it felt like you never went to sleep.
Well, there's a three-hour time difference or two-hour time difference.
I know, but the text came through in those increments, like, where it looked like you had not been to sleep.
No, we went to bed and I woke up at 3.30 and it was miserable.
waking up in a hotel room in Vegas at 3.30 and not being able to go back to sleep.
Well, then you just go back down and play some more.
Yeah.
I guess I could have.
That's what you used to would have done.
Yeah.
Yeah, that's true.
Old school party day would have been.
Lost it.
Losing hell at the roulette wheel.
I lost it.
I sat there and toss and turn in bed until 5.30, and then I finally got back to sleep and got up at 9 and headed to the airport.
Dale doesn't have his fastball anymore.
I don't.
No.
He tried to talk me into going with him, and I was like, I don't think so.
man he's like because you can't hang with me i was like i can't hang with you but
vegas no thanks i would be dead for three or four days after that because unlike dale i don't
drink beer i'd start drinking margaritas and then stay in the throttle and then i'd be hung over
as hell the next day we had those two margaritas at the speakeasy and stephen wanted to have a
third and i was like dude i'm gonna be really f*** up if i drink a third margarita pretty they're strong
yeah they're very good margaritas margaritas got to be
careful.
I have drank 10 beers and I'm totally fine and then put a margarita on top of that and
and have.
And we're having trouble.
Yeah, we're having trouble.
We're blowing out our flip-flops.
Yep.
We're crashing.
I took the kids to eat at the new restaurant that night.
We were supposed to go.
So there's a place downtown Morseville called Deepwell and then just opened.
And it's owned by the kindred family, which has other restaurants around.
And so I got a reservation.
They're very busy, so I didn't want to cancel the reservation because I was really interested
to try it.
So I took the girls and Aunt Jamie met us.
And it was a very tasty dinner, but it was leisurely.
We were there for two and a half hours.
And it was busy, I saw all these young race car drivers coming in.
As we were leaving, of course, like, it's normal dinner time and the young people are coming
in to eat.
So I sent them dessert to their table before we left.
but the girls wouldn't even talk to Connor.
Oh, the young drivers?
Yeah.
Conor Zillich.
Yeah.
He walks in and of course the girls know who he is.
And he's like, hey, he's talking to them.
He says hello to me, but he's talking directly to them.
And both of them just look at him and like hunker down.
That's what they do.
And he's like, do y'all not remember me?
It was really cute.
But yeah, we sent them dessert.
And then when we went to say goodbye, Nicole refused to talk to him again.
But they give out toys.
So most restaurants don't do this.
But like old school cracker barrel style toys,
like the little peg game that you can play.
And then they had those waxy wires
that you can mold and do stuff with.
Well, Nicole got those out immediately
and made a pirate mask out of it.
Very well done.
Had the hole and everything,
had it wrapped around her hair where she tangled that shit in her hair.
So like just about as soon as we get there,
I'm pulling wax, like balls of wax out of her hair.
Chunks of hair are flying out of her head.
It wasn't loud, but it was enough of a scene that we were all just nervous that the rest of the dinner was going to go haywire, but it went pretty well.
It was good. It was a good night.
The restaurant was good.
I'm glad I didn't cancel it because I don't think the next reservation that's open is until like the middle of October.
It's a pretty popular place.
It is.
It's really popular.
We were sitting at the, sitting on the couch last night.
Amy looks over and goes, you heard about this Noah's Ark thing?
I was wondering what this is.
Do you know?
No.
You haven't.
Oh my gosh.
This isn't new, by the way.
They've been doing scans and they feel like they've found the actual arc buried in the ground and turkey.
Like they've done some soil samples.
They've dug down.
They have found organic matter, which they can think they equate to it being wood.
So they're assuming and guessing they've found the ark.
Well, now they're going to try to excavate the damn thing out.
Dale thinks it's all bull-h-h-h.
Easy.
So I...
That's exactly what you said to me last night.
No, no, no. Let me...
Just Dale thinks it's bull-s-b-k is a bit of a blanket term.
That's going to be the podcast.
I know it.
It's not entirely how I feel.
He looks at me, goes, Amy, Amy, it's bull-s-h-h-h-h.
I can't believe that you're buying end of this.
So I was like, how are you not?
T-Rex is real?
Is that dinosaur skeleton just bull-s-sh-you?
Like, of course, they can find stuff.
What I mean is, so they've been, this site has been,
the speculated, there's been speculation for a decade or more about this particular
feature.
In the landscape.
Yeah, in the shape of it.
And they have done some, they've done some sonar or some, you know, they've done some
things to where they kind of can, you know, can look down in the ground and they've seen
things that, you know, are unique.
but what I read say five or eight years ago was getting in there, getting into this area
to actually do real research would be difficult due to the complications with trying to get
into Turkey in general for anybody, right?
And so like getting to the property and being able to really truly do this well was going to be a challenge
and so there was not a lot of it you know there was not a lot of expectation that it would ever really get truly looked into
and plus the idea that that could actually be the arc was one in a million
it's a land feature it just look it's a land feature that looks like a boat and so
just happens to be shaped like a big gigantic canoe and see
Doesn't it sound like he thinks it's all...
This is the thought five, ten years ago, okay?
You know, you see something coming up on, you know, the Internet
and everybody goes, even the people that were there poking around were like,
this is obviously, you know, a shot in the dark.
But the thing that is neat about it, I guess, is its location.
And so there's a lot of...
of, there's a lot of things in the area geographically, locations, in the biblical story,
all of those things that point to this space.
Yeah, point to this area.
And so in the last, I guess now, for whatever reason, it's, this thing's kind of fired back up.
And maybe it is because they are actually finally able to get there and truly do some
genuine research. They're drilling down into the ground, trying to pull out core samples and
stuff like that to see if they can find, you know, wood or anything else, right? And they're saying
that they're finding maybe petro fried wood, things like that. So they're, they're now there. They're
finally there. Real researchers with real equipment, real, real technology to be able to see what
this thing is. So I don't think it's, I'm just saying they haven't found anything yet.
They're just now digging into the ground.
So let's all pump the break.
Sit back and...
I know, but I think that that's so fascinating.
If that's really what's there, obviously, we all want it to be real.
That was me five, ten years ago when I first heard about it.
That was you five damn minutes ago.
That was you yesterday when I brought it up.
You were like, the way you closed your eyes even, you didn't even look at me when you said you what your response.
You were like...
Your reaction to it now, that was me five or ten years ago when I first heard about it.
I was like, oh, wow, that's amazing.
I've been reading about it, but the fact that they're actually drilling down and getting organic material, like they're, they've got science.
It changes nothing for me until they...
It doesn't, how we're not going to be able to get the whole thing out of there.
I don't think it's petrified.
I think it's been in the earth so long.
Like, it's not going to be like a bone you can dig out of the ground.
Of course.
I'm just saying, even though they're there digging, it changes nothing until they know for sure.
I'm not, I'm going to be like, man, it's a shot in the dark.
It's a one in a million.
It could be nothing.
Well, I want to believe
Of course you do
Yeah
But I
I'm not like that
You negative
You're just so negative
I just want to
I was just wait and see what happens
I'm on the else side
Really?
I mean I just a little
Pretty good today
Did you Google it to see
The shape and the size and everything
Like there's far more like
Even with all the biblical stories
But the shape and the size
It's convincing
It's somewhat convincing
Also with the location
and all of the age of what they're finding.
You got a boat shape and it's giant.
That's enough.
I couldn't even know what I'm looking at in this one video.
That's enough for a full buy-in.
I said I want to believe.
I mean, I'm going to wait and see how it plays out too,
but dang, I am not going to go,
this is complete bull-h-h-hs.
It's probably full of unicorns.
Like the responses I'm seeing on the Internet
are all over the place.
Like, oh, yeah, maybe they're going to find the Bigfoot 2
while they're down there.
Like, it's just nobody wants to believe in anything good.
Everybody believes all the bad.
they see on the internet.
I just feel like it's,
it looks too much like a feature,
a land feature.
It just looks too,
look,
and of course it should.
I mean,
if it was a,
it was a real boat.
Buried in the ground.
That sat there for all of these years.
Yes,
it would sort of,
the earth would just take it back.
And it should look,
even,
you know,
if it is the arc,
it would probably look like a land feature.
But the one thing that,
you know,
is like,
if you're,
if you're,
say this,
this is the ark
and they get off this boat
common sense tells me
that they would have taken this thing apart
they would have needed this
for resources for they
and maybe not if it's up on the side of this mountain
maybe they're like yeah we're not taking that apart
because I ain't hauling that shit down the mountain
we're going to go down the mountain we're going to find wood
we're going to build we're going to cut trees down
but the ark itself would have been a resource
to these individuals
surviving this flood
they would have dismantled this
thing to utilize it for other means.
With what?
Dismantled it with what?
They built it with tools.
I'm sure they had tools.
Noah built the damn thing.
I know, but I'm sure they had the tools with them on the boat to continue to, you know,
maintenance while the flood's happening.
I don't know.
Maybe they got lost.
Maybe they did, Amy, but I'm just saying like for it to just, for them to just walk away
from this gigantic thing and just leave it there.
Maybe they were scared of it.
Sounds incredibly.
Because the flood came and everybody was like, oh my gosh, it's real.
now you sound like the people that don't believe the ark even exists.
You're...
You're so pretty.
Okay.
Well, I think it's fascinating.
I am following the story.
I am curious about it.
But I am just that type of person that will not believe anything.
He's a skeptic.
I'm not a skeptic.
I just don't believe...
I don't live on hope and dreams and...
and wishes.
Like, I need real proof.
You are the guy that decides he wants to hope and dream and wish his life into a new space when he travels.
Like, how is it that you're not going to...
What you mean by that?
I'm sure.
So we're going to Switzerland.
We're going to get there and he's going to be like, oh, my gosh, wouldn't it be so cool if we own that little chalet on the mountain?
And we could just wake up every morning and look at the Matterhorn.
I know that's not going to happen, though.
You're so hard to figure out.
Amy, look at the screen.
I told him forever ago.
should have come with a manual skeptic as a person who questions,
DOS, claims ideas, or general beliefs until they can see clear proof or evidence.
That is absolutely what you are.
All right.
I used to maybe be a little more likely to buy into things like this, but I think what's
happened in our country and our world, what's happened in the world in the last, you know,
decade has made me more of a skeptic.
I think if it's not your idea, it's not an idea.
That's not it.
Our daughter, Ila, has that too.
If it's not your idea, it's not, it's like a figment of everybody's imagination.
I'm just more likely to wait, wait it out.
What if I get Josh Barry to come in here and explain this to you?
Would you believe in it then?
I found myself too fast to jump to.
Where is Josh Barry?
Can we get Josh Barry on aisle four, please?
We need Josh to come explain the arc story to Dale.
I used to jump to conclusions and try to, and jump in the conversation.
and a lot of times I'd regret getting in there too quickly,
making assumptions.
Well, I was just talking to you.
I think it's neat.
I'm not going to.
You wanted to discuss it with everybody.
You did because you said,
poll, please, we'll just talk about that tomorrow.
I didn't add any.
I mean, he just closed his eyes and put his hand up like,
mm-mm, this is, we're not even going to discuss this.
This is crazy.
I said save for the show.
Which I appreciate.
Do you want to talk about Kentucky football?
I do want to talk about Kentucky football.
I don't really care about the football team.
I still fit into my cheerleading uniform.
Can we talk about that?
It's your show.
They killed A&M the other day.
Billy Haynes, our friend Billy Haynes.
So did Kobe.
Loves Texas A&M.
And they all went to school there.
Kayla did, you know.
And so we've got plenty of family members that root for Texas A&M.
And to tease everybody after we won, I went upstairs and got my uniforms,
which I was not supposed to keep, by the way.
They were supposed to be turned in.
So I stole them.
And I put one on in it.
that damn thing fit. And so of course I came downstairs to show Dale that it still zipped up because
that was 20 years, 23, 4, 5 years ago. Yeah. And so I sent videos to everybody with my uniform
on that we were already talking to on our phones. And so now Dale thinks he's a Kentucky fan.
I mean, well, his teams that he root for sucks, so he probably should have rid for Kentucky.
Carolina almost beat Clemson. Well, I'm a Carolina fan, Tar Heels. They suck. But I pull for Kentucky
because Amy said she'd prefer I did
and the
he will pull for basketball
but he has never ever
ever watched a football game
wears number three
his dad was a big deal
in Hart fan
so now
that's makes a cool
yeah
you have a racie
yeah
I mean you get you a jersey
I feel like
I feel like we're really
on our way though
he's gonna be wearing
Royal Blue before we know it
have you ever taken to a game
no I haven't even
been back to a game
since I graduated
I went to
I went to that school
I forget what I was
might have been
nationwide insurance thing or something, but I remember walking around in the halls.
In Lexington?
Yeah.
I was at Kentucky Wildcats.
I remember being in the hallway right next to the entrance of the basketball.
Okay.
Rupp Arena.
You were in the arena.
We were dating.
Why did I get to go?
I took a picture of it.
And you were like, I remember that hall.
Or I remember that.
The corridor.
I remember that.
And the cheerleaders came running.
and buy to do something they were doing something and I was like oh there goes Amy there she
goes that was must have been forever ago I don't remember that yeah I do remember some things
yeah so now he's part of the big blue nation I love it yeah let's get him a jersey we should
get him a jersey maybe a sweatshirt I I will like a tar heels jersey too no no I don't have one
that's not part of the conversation I'm not supporting that no you didn't go to school there
why do you care so much just because it's
Carolina blue?
All right, we're going to do a test day.
Carolina blue.
Name two players for North Carolina.
You're a Kentucky fan.
I can't name any Kentucky players either.
Kenny Minchie.
They're a quarterback.
Kenny Menchie.
Oh.
Well, that's a thing.
That's good.
Yeah, he's mad about it, but he's a got now.
The Carolina team,
All the players are new.
It's hard to...
I know Julius Peppers play for them.
What's the guitar Sally you have?
Dale has this annoyance with guitar players in public.
What the hell?
And so I like to call him a guitar Sally just because it's fun.
But if he says...
He's sitting somewhere like at a bar.
He's having a good time.
And there's this random guy that, like, has his guitar and wants to get it out.
He's always annoyed.
And so I forget.
where we were, I forget, but we were sitting down talking about this and he's like, yeah,
you know, like, if a guy, if you're hanging out, especially at somebody's house and somebody's
like, I know how to play the guitar and they get their guitar out and you're like, shut the fuck, dude,
I don't want to hear you and play, you sing and play your guitar.
I did that once.
You told them.
We were racing go carts down at the go cart track.
And we, we, we're done racing.
everybody's kind of chilling
there's probably about 15, 20 people
sitting around,
drink a beer
and this,
some, some,
some guy
that you don't even know very well.
Yeah.
I don't even know this guy.
He just comes walking up.
He'd kind of been there,
but he just,
I guess he goes to his car
and comes walking up
with his guitar and sits down,
starts playing a little bit.
I'm like, put that fuck guitar away.
I'm fucking listen to this shit.
It's a little.
about 20 years ago, 25 years ago.
I'm like, we ain't fucking that.
Not, not today.
No, we ain't fucking that around here,
but you can put that muck in the car.
Can you imagine?
Getting the courage to go get your guitar out of the car
to sit down and play for people?
Like, the amount of time it took to like get that courage up.
He thought he was like,
that's the right time.
I'm going to go get it.
He thought he was going to be the man.
Did he get in his car and hide for the rest of the end?
I don't get what he did. No, sure.
I'm going to fuck what that guy did.
This guy probably is somewhat around.
What's funny is that, me and so we invite Tim Dugger.
And we always have a guitar around, and if he plays it, it's not the same.
We should have told this story when Tim was on the Dell Jr. Download,
but we did talk about how we invited Tim and Tara to the Key West House to hang out for the very first time.
And they didn't, Tara didn't know anybody.
Amy didn't know them.
And me and Tim barely knew each other.
I had met Tim at the house.
Right.
And so we...
We just don't hardly know them.
We had never met Tara.
We're about a day or two into this trip.
And I've got me,
Jake Backer who works at HMS,
is there,
and there's probably about four or five couples.
And so we're all hanging out.
And Tim,
somebody says,
Tim, do you bring you guitar?
Tim probably says,
yeah, I did.
It's upstairs in the room.
Oh, go get it.
Play a song.
So Tim, this is all happening out at the pool.
So Tim brings his guitar down.
I had walked in to get a beer.
And I look outside and Tim's out there.
I hear it.
Tim's out there strumming his guitar,
like playing for about, you know,
five or six people sitting around the pool.
And Jake walks in to the kitchen.
And I'm like,
my, man.
Amy, Amy probably said,
turn you moves it down for a minute.
I'm like, man, I've turned my fucking.
music off and this son-h-h-h-I heard the pool playing his guitar.
This sucks.
It's like three in the afternoon.
And I'm like ready to have the fucking music crank.
Yeah.
And we're ripping.
And Jake and I stood it, sat in there just talked the whole situation while it was going on.
They're such butt heads.
They were so rude.
Just in general.
Fast forward to me and Tim's, and Tim knows this story.
But fast forward to Tim and I standing there doing that little social media.
video and we get asked, worst concert, worst concert.
And Tim and I both go, any live music at a bar.
And he and I both agree, like the guy that, you know, whenever you're sitting there jamming
into the touch tunes or they got great music playing out of the speakers at the bar and they turn
it down and you see some ass.
It's a vibe changed with his guitar.
And you're like, God, dang it.
Even the musician feels that way.
bar we got to move i told dale when i went to q west the other week we get to schooners and i
play a song and it doesn't get into 15 seconds and they pulled the plug and getting ready for the
band first of all the band wasn't even playing yet they're just getting ready i think i should get a
refund for that song yeah you should have they should have given you a credit like
they should play it's the worst feeling ever man let it play all the way up until the minute the guys
they should so there's no silence but anyways yeah if i'm an ass so be it well the first time we met
Tim, he came to the house with Austin Dillon. They were playing paintball. They had paintball wars,
like out in the field. And he came to the house and he brought his guitar with him. And eventually
later in the evening, after everybody had had a bunch of beer, he got his guitar out and was
playing music. And I didn't know he was a singer. I thought maybe the guitar was one we had at the
house because there was always one hang on the wall. And that's how I met Tim. And so, like,
I have always enjoyed it. I like live music, especially, I mean, especially if it's at that,
kind of environment like when you're at home I would rather turn your music down to hear
yeah I like live music as well but when I go to a bar I kind of go there to drink and listen
to the bar music it depends on what you're like if I'm going to a bar and I'm like they got
touch tunes we're going go play and I get there and then it turns off in 10 minutes I'm upset but
if I'm going to a bar and I know there's going be live music I didn't ever have control of the
have expectations.
Like Hogs breath, you go there.
You know you're not going to be playing music.
Live music's there.
I'm good with that.
But I mean, too, if when we were going down to the Keys years ago and the Dorfors,
Dorfels were playing, we would, we would go.
We would go just to watch them play a schooner.
Yeah.
Like if they were playing at the Sunset Pier at lunch, that's where we were having lunch.
Yeah.
If they were playing schooners that night, we weren't fission it.
It was awesome.
So, I mean, it's just to, if you know,
know the band it makes it a big difference but if you don't know the guy i don't know or if you're just
not expecting it it pops out of nowhere yeah yeah it's a bold move and deal meets your bold with
not today but he put it back in the car get that man thing away he'll told you to get that out
oh my gosh you're gonna play a little this or that i probably would have cried if i was that guy
yes let's play this play a game so we're going to do this or that fall edition i figured amy might
like fall questions since we're technically in fall now.
And it feels like fall outside.
And it's a, so would you rather have a pumpkin spice latte or apple cider drink?
An apple cider drink.
I feel like all together pumpkin is one of those things that like, I like the idea of it,
but I don't really want to taste it.
Like I don't eat pumpkin pie either.
I hate pumpkin pie.
Squishy.
Dale.
Dale is.
I don't like either one of those.
You know like apple cider?
You have to pick one.
Oh, apple cider, I suppose.
I don't know.
I mean, is apple cider like,
apple juice.
No, it's got spices in it.
Like cinnamon and nutmeg.
Yeah, I don't drink it.
I hate nutmeg.
You do?
Like a nutmeg and a painkiller?
Oh, that's right.
It's the worst.
That's weird.
It's weird not to light nutmeg out of all the things that you cannot like.
It's just got this like strong.
Got a pretty shi-hitting too.
Nutmeg.
It's just a bad name.
Yeah, bad PR.
Yeah, bad PR.
Would you rather go to a haunted house or a corn maze?
Ooh, a haunted house.
Yeah, the corn maze.
is like a,
corn mazes are fun.
They are fun,
but I don't like it lost.
They're kind of like,
an afterthought.
An afterthought?
Yeah.
Maybe they're like,
like, hey man,
you know what?
We could build this really bad ass
for the maze,
but we got this corn over here
when we just cut
walkways through there.
Maze.
There you go.
I don't know.
We went through
a pretty awesome haunted house.
The last one I went through was at Big Cedar, and I went through with Carson, Kennedy, and Wyatt.
And it was so scary, I peed my pants.
Well, I wouldn't admit to that, but.
I grabbed Carson.
I was like, I can't move.
They were jumping out of all.
I mean, it felt like a corn maze in there, too.
They had corn stalks everywhere.
So it was like a double down on the corn maze and it's the haunted house.
But you could hear people screaming bloody murder through there before you were waiting in line to go in.
So like when I grew up, the haunted houses were like in a corn maze.
Yeah, or in a field.
Yeah, in a field.
Like, that's what you did.
Agreed.
There was one I went to in college.
Wait now.
It was out in a field like that.
And they had people chasing you on the very end of it with chainsaws.
The haunted house was inside the corn maze.
It wasn't really a haunted house.
It was like a haunted corn maze.
A haunted forest, like a haunted trail.
A haunted trail.
Yeah.
Through the woods.
Yeah.
That's not corn maze.
It might have been.
I was just saying that's what I went through.
That's, what do you prefer?
Haunted corn maze would be like Children of the Corn.
Did you all ever see that?
You get three choices.
Okay, haunted corn maze over here.
So it's like your store brand version.
And then you got haunted trail in the woods.
And then you got haunted house.
Building feature.
You go inside.
I want the trail.
I like the trail too.
Because you're outside.
You get the wind blowing.
I feel.
like haunted, like I've done
haunted houses and haunted trails
and trails are far more scarier. They are far more
more scary because it's far more realistic. There's some
that are scary as a sacked. Yeah. Some good
ones. Somebody chasing you around in the dark in the forest?
I remember
scary as hell. Like I don't, we don't do that
anymore but I remember there was a
time frame in my life. It was a good
solid five to ten years, maybe
in my 20s where
once Halloween came, you did all
the trails. Like you knew where all of them
were and you were going to go to all of them,
like in that little two, three, four week period.
And you'd go stand in lines just to go through these silly trails.
They still have to get the shit.
I know they do.
But then, I don't know, I got to a certain age and it's like abruptly ended this activity.
Like, just completely void of my life.
Yeah.
Makes sense.
I did all your friends get married and start doing other things?
and so he's like I got nobody to trail with it anymore.
I was the last one to convert.
Everybody got married, started having kids.
And then I was like...
Guess no more trails for me.
We're not throwing eggs at cars anymore.
We're not doing anything fun on Halloween.
The streets have been so clean and pure
since Dale's friends got married.
When I lived across the street from DEI for like a four-year period,
every Halloween we went down to the...
to Highway 3 right at the I and threw exit cars.
Dude.
Dude, I was driving down the road one day
and an egg hit in front of my truck
and I saw it happen in slow motion and I was like,
fuck yeah.
I deserve that.
Oh my gosh.
Cinnamon sugar donuts or apple fritters?
Ooh.
Cinnamon sugar donut.
I think I don't really like,
I'm not like a cooked fruit kind of girl.
I don't really like.
a crumble or a pie either unless it's, I don't know, chocolate.
I feel like...
Donut, yeah.
His favorite donut in general is just a plain cake donut.
Yeah, really?
The glaze or nothing.
He doesn't like the yeast egg...
I want the donut, the meat, the minute it has just been...
Like, I don't do nothing to it.
Once it comes out of the oven, don't touch it.
The oven.
In college, I lived right behind a place.
They fry them, baby.
Oh, right out of the friar.
Don't touch it.
I lived right behind a donut place.
I was open 24-7 in college.
Oh my God.
I did too.
The crispy cream.
It was this like Greek lady owned it and the donuts were amazing.
Oh man.
You're just like a mommy pop.
That sounds delicious.
Yeah, you could smell it.
Yeah.
Chili with beans or without beans.
With.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I like all the extra textures and stuff in there.
I throw a bunch of vegetables at mine too.
Gotta get the big guy to eat some vegetables.
What vegetables are you throwing in there?
Just peppers and onions.
Oh, that's fine.
That's normal stuff.
I thought you're like throwing in something different.
Some shredded carrots or something.
Yeah.
I mean, I probably could.
He'd eat it.
He'd be mad about it, but he'd eat it.
The only thing he gets mad about, if I put peas in something, he's like, ugh, peas.
I'm with him.
Are you talking to me?
Yeah.
When have I said anything about peas?
You said you hate peas, that you were forced to eat them as a kid, and you hate peas.
And so if I make soup or anything, even if it calls for peas.
I hate that.
What is it?
I hate the cilantro.
Yeah, it isn't like earth.
A gross.
It tastes like soap.
It's terrible.
No, it doesn't.
It tastes delicious.
Yeah, it certainly doesn't belong in food.
It belongs in the bathroom.
Some restaurants overdo it.
What are you going to do with cilantro in the bathroom?
It belongs in soap.
It belongs in something where it's cleaning because it sells like a chemical.
They say if you feel that way, that's because you've got metal buildup in your blood.
No, you're...
Because it actually does bind and detox you of heavy metals.
I think they say if you feel that way that you're just smart.
Of course you do.
Flannel sheets or a weighted blanket.
Flannel sheets?
Girl, getting hot flashes already just thinking about that.
I hate a weighted blanket.
Really?
Yes.
What do you think a Lola blanket is?
What?
Lola is heavy.
No.
The furry things?
Yeah.
That we have?
No, they're not.
It takes two arms to pick that thing up off the bed.
Like you can't just...
We talked about this the other week.
Like when the, the,
the sheets tucked in and it feels like it's, you know, bending your toes over your foot.
We need it loose.
And you're like kicking off.
Like I, our bed.
That's a live action of what he actually does when he gets in the vet.
Our bed got made Thursday.
And I came in last night to get in bed and I climbed down in there.
I'm like, get all the sheets out.
I'm like, uh, f***.
I feel like I'm in a damn, feel like I'm in shrink wrap.
Yeah.
All right.
last question, carving a pumpkin or painting a pumpkin?
I like carving them just because of the nostalgia, but we let the kids paint them.
Painting them is...
It's a lot less of messy.
I like carving them.
Yeah.
Do you ever cook the pumpkin seeds?
I have not.
I've not.
Once I get done with all the other mess, I'm like over it.
You got to try it.
I've saved them for another person to do that with, but I've never, never tried it.
Your other family?
Who?
No, like Tamil.
When Tamlin...
She's like,
Who are you hiding?
In her second life.
My other family?
I saved that for my family in Virginia.
Family I love.
No, I have invited friends over to do pumpkins with us, and they have taken the seeds home.
I hope you step on a Lego later today.
That's mean.
I hope you pinch your finger.
He brought you cheesecake.
He didn't.
You did.
Thank you for the cheesecake.
He asked me to.
And now you wanted to step on a Lego.
Yeah.
The thanks you get, Dale.
Well, that's it for this or that.
Well, for this event.
Yeah.
