Starting point is 00:00:00 The following is a production of Dirty Mo Media. Oh, yeah, this is the way it's going to be, girl, if we're going to hang out. Open a bunch of jars, you've got big strong hands. Are you suffering from Highcraft? I'm working. Working that mouth. Hey, y'all, Dale and I are back in the Dirty Moe Media studio for another round of Bless Your Heart. We've got lots of fun stuff to talk to you about today.
Starting point is 00:00:32 First up, our stripper scrolls, back. She made it back into the studio and this is where she's going to live and she's doing her job pretty well, don't you think? It's not sitting on top of the speaker evenly and that's driving me crazy. We'll fix it. But don't you mess up my high rock now? There. Now she's even? That's better. She's doing good. She's been in our house next to the fish tank and didn't seem to make sense. So she's back. Fans are asking where is a squirrel? Yeah. I mean, I've had people asked me that while I was out broadcasting. Really? Yeah. Where's a squirrel?
Starting point is 00:01:08 Why aren't you carrying her around? Showing her off. My man, this is a lot more people listen to this show than you realize. Well, me and Amy. That's a good thing, right? So me and Amy are in the process of, before I start this bit, we want to do the drink of the week. It's time for the drink of the week. And it's presented to all of us by High Rock Vodka.
Starting point is 00:01:40 It is the High Rock Cream Sicle. This is one of our favorites. Yeah. I mean, cream sickle, anything is pretty good. It's 1.5 ounces of orange dream sipping cream. That's your Sugarlands moonshine. And 1.5 ounces of High Rock vodka. And then one ounce of half and half.
Starting point is 00:02:04 That's important. Mm-mm-mm. Oh, that's good. That half and half is an important part. Splash of vanilla extract. I don't think I want anything to do with an extract of anything. Does that remind you of a tincture? Is that why?
Starting point is 00:02:22 I just don't like the word extract, and it doesn't sound like it belongs in food or drink. Extract sounds like something that has been expelled, something that is not necessary. something that should be removed. It does have a connotation for like negative sort of like I have extracted this out of my life. Extracted some fluid from your body. Yeah, it might.
Starting point is 00:02:47 Yeah. Like I extracted that that virus, that stomach virus or? Good. Have you extracted it? I think he's finally. I'm still working on it. Oh, really? Yeah, we'll get to that.
Starting point is 00:02:58 Oh, well. I think we should just put vanilla flavor in there. Like, why can't we just have a splash of? vanilla. I don't even think it needs the vanilla. Why, it doesn't, the word extract. We need to extract the word extract from the recipe. Can we call it a tincture? No. Well, I'm glad you're over your stomach bug. I feel like you've, I mean, we haven't talked about it a few days. Usually I am up to, up to the knowledge, you know what I mean? Sorry? To the, to the, what? Usually if you've got something going on in an ailment of any sort,
Starting point is 00:03:33 I have well aware of my stomach bug. I am well aware. Exactly. But I feel like it's past. You just said, it's not. No. You just stop talking about it, I guess. Well, I didn't want to share this, but I had a stomach bug for nine days. Like usually you get like a 24-hour bug.
Starting point is 00:03:59 And I don't know if this is the lettuce thing or whatever. I know a friend of mine had the lettuce bug. and he was good in like 36 hours, you know, a couple days. He also went to the doctor and got medicine. He did get medicine. I refuse medicine. He did get medicine, did you just say? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:17 He got an antibiotic. Yeah. Which I was like, ah, my tough ass body will just kick its ass. But no, nine days. It was touch and go. The food touched his mouth and then he would go. Yeah. It is bad.
Starting point is 00:04:37 And I think it's gotten better. So last couple of trips to the restroom have been more what you would expect. Less pace when you're going. We're not frantically running anymore. Glinching your butt cheeks. No. No. So all that was good.
Starting point is 00:04:57 But what I was going to say is... Well, back to the cream sickle. So tomorrow is National Creamsicle Day, which is why we're enjoying. this today. I got you. To remind everyone that tomorrow is National Creamsicle Day, so this is a perfect cocktail for you to make. I like crem sick flavors. What were we talking about right before that?
Starting point is 00:05:16 Because I was going to tell a story. Don't forget to drink responsibly. I don't know. Don't forget to hit high rock vodka.com to find a bottle near you. You can find all of the locations for any of the Sugar Lens products in your area. And then also please drink responsibly. You must be 21 years or over. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:34 So. So what's your story, Ralph? What did you say right before the drink of the week? I don't know. We're talking about the stripper, squirrel. Yes. So. We're talking about, we have four-in-wood games.
Starting point is 00:05:47 I feel like we landed on Brenda, but we haven't called her anything. Brenda's fine. Really? Or Lorraine. What about Luane? Louane? No, Brenda and Lorraine are my mother's names. Wait, we're going to name.
Starting point is 00:06:01 See, this is where it gets weird for me. I mean. Well, then name it something. It has to. have some, I don't know, I just think it feels like it needs to have a name that would be connected to our. I feel like your mom would think that's funny for like a minute and then she'd be like, all right, if I'm the stripper squirrel, okay.
Starting point is 00:06:19 I'm going to get you back. You know what I mean? Yeah. I'm kind of nervous that. She's all right. I don't know. I feel like she knew the stripper name. Okay.
Starting point is 00:06:28 Mercedes. That's like the top stripper name. Mercedes. Is it? Charity. Charity. Charities is probably number two. Destiny.
Starting point is 00:06:35 Destiny. Destiny. That might be number one. Destiny, Charity, Mercedes, kind of. That's a good top three. Let's call her Destiny. Destiny. Destiny, it is. So Destiny has made it back to the studio. She's holding some high rock. She's got a mini bottle. And she's got some Red Bull also. So, yesterday, kids going back to school. We, what do you call that thing? What do you call that when you go? Orientation. Orientation. So it wasn't a full day. They're just going to meet their teachers and... All right. So we go back to school and we're sitting there and we're seeing all these parents.
Starting point is 00:07:18 And, you know, you're seeing a lot of women, right? Because there's teachers. It's just ratio to men to women to men is probably 70% women, men, 30% men in this room, in this gymnasium. and you're saying, you're seeing people. You're like, oh, yeah, hey, how you doing? You know, and just, it's nice, you know, kind of seeing people. You hadn't seen everybody during the summer and everybody's like, hey, how's the beach, you know, whatever.
Starting point is 00:07:49 Oh, you got, you know, you got two, you got your girls coming to school here now. You know, everybody's just talking. It's fun. And midway through this experience, I just had a realization. Which is what? that a lot, I bet a lot of these people inadvertently unwillingly, or maybe willingly, see a lot of clips from this show. And what made you think that?
Starting point is 00:08:21 I don't know. We were standing. Because of the comments about the beach? Like we don't talk to all those people all summer. Something triggered, man, they've seen all, they've seen the clips of the stuff we talk about on this show. And I got real self-conscious. because
Starting point is 00:08:39 teachers are like oh no there's a lot of teachers parents we got their good we don't know
Starting point is 00:08:45 we do that some of the teachers listen think bigger parents friends of and you know
Starting point is 00:08:51 our kids parents our kids are friends with this folks and these parents over here and they're like they let their
Starting point is 00:08:57 kid come over to our house or something and have to sleep over now they know how crazy we are
Starting point is 00:09:01 and I'm like here I am in this room going oh hey nice to meet you hey yeah good see you Meanwhile, last week he talked about how much diarrhea he had.
Starting point is 00:09:12 Yeah. Yeah. And we're going to cut a six-minute clip me talking about how I had a damn stomach bug for nine days or something other crazy mess going on. And we just give our, you know, matter-fact opinions on just life and we're crude and rude at times and obnoxious. And we call ourselves that. And so I'm standing there and I'm like,
Starting point is 00:09:39 man, these people know I ain't like this. They know I ain't all bubbly and hey, yeah, how y'all doing? And I'm thinking, wait a second. And so I'm standing there going, man, I'm a fraud. Like, why can't I just be myself all the time? Yeah, I mean, you do turn up the charm, right? When you're in certain situations. It's called manners, Rob.
Starting point is 00:10:05 Yes, yes. You have manners in certain atmospheres. I'm standing there and I'm like, certain environments, it's better to not be your full self. I know, but I'm sitting there trying to be super, super charming. It's like a meet and greet. And I'm like, and I'm like, they know this is bullshit. You know, they see these clips and how we act. And then we sit down.
Starting point is 00:10:27 And there's this lady giving a speech in front of all of us. She's giving us a lesson, like a chop a lesson. And she's giving us a lesson. Yeah, and it's great, great lesson. But in the middle of lesson, she says, we need to put down the podcasts she says I listen to a lot of podcasts she was she was being self-deprecating
Starting point is 00:10:47 she was talking about being focused and more present in her own life and how she loves a podcast and loves to listen to podcasts and she's like and I won't say which ones unless you want to come talk to me phone on one and then I'll give you my list and Dale and I were sitting straight in the center of the gymnasium
Starting point is 00:11:02 I would have sunk into my chair right in the middle and if we had a seat back I would have I was I had just had realization like five minutes before about the podcast and then we sit down and she says that and like almost line of sight right on us. And then when we're done, I had three or four parents come up to me and go, oh man, when she talked about podcasts, I was thinking about you. And I was like, boy, Dale, I bet he's loving this. And I'm like, man, I was quite the opposite. Actually, and so man, now I, now I sit down here today with you guys with a very heavy complex and um well we've already covered poop alcohol and
Starting point is 00:11:45 the stripper squirrel so we're set for success you know so i thought you were drinking at night through the morning too yeah i did have the time of my life listen dale usually goes to environments like that and stays close to me doesn't talk to a whole bunch of people keeps to himself speaks when spoken to just because he feels like, you know, most of the time when he goes to a crowd of people, it's for NASCAR, it's for performance, basically. Like he's doing the meet and greet. He's there to work.
Starting point is 00:12:12 And so he, like, doesn't know how to act otherwise. You know what I mean? Yeah. And so we go and he's gotten so comfortable with all these parents because we've been with the same kids since Ila was in kindergarten, she's now in the third grade. And we've all become friends. And half of them are racing people anyway that we know.
Starting point is 00:12:27 So, like, we get into the gym. And he looks around. He's like, I know half these people now. When we first got here, I didn't know anybody. We went there three years ago. I didn't know, but about two or three people in the entire gym. All the parents are sitting in the bleachers.
Starting point is 00:12:39 Yeah. And we sit down there yesterday and I'm like. It felt like a reunion. Man, I know half people in here now. Yeah. And I'll be honest, Amy's right. There are a lot of racing industry folks, but there's a lot of average everyday folks in there that ain't got nothing. No connection.
Starting point is 00:12:54 And those are actually the real fun ones. Yeah. Because like when I'm talking to this dad and he's just going to go back and do his regular shit and work his ass off. I feel really better and normal than, oh man, this is got, this guy works on this race team. This guy, this guy is this crew chief for this. We, you know, I, it has given you the opportunity to have friends in that, in type of space, yes. Yeah. I'll see this. I'll see the, I'll see the dads that are just like, you know, dad and like hell and they got their job and they got their vacation house that they go to and, and they got, you know,
Starting point is 00:13:31 their family and they're just rocking and rolling. And I'm like, Dale was talking about baseball cards with all these guys. To the point where like they're blocking the entrance to the doorway here and there. There's people trying to get around them with a stroller. And I'm like, sorry, they're, they're, talking about baseball cards.
Starting point is 00:13:46 Always being boys. Yeah, boy. That's exactly what the gentleman who was pushing the baby stroller around them said, boys will be boys. Next we're going to talk about football. You just wait until we get into the gym. I'm like, oh, okay, so they're all on the same team, you know. It doesn't take much for a guy to talk to another random dude.
Starting point is 00:14:00 No. Well, they've actually gone. shopping together this other this man that he's talking about so it's they have real friendships made and so it was like a reunion but i'm like walking around getting the car passes going to the IT department to like get login information for the homeschool teacher like i'm doing work they're playing he's having like his own little meet and greet reunion with those buddies just hanging out just hanging out i forgot i was there lost him i forgot i was there for a reason yeah so at one point when it's all over i look up and i'm like i don't
Starting point is 00:14:31 him anywhere. So I just go to get the girls from the classroom and eventually he comes back behind me, pokes me in the butt. I'm like, there he is. I hope that's mine. I walk up behind her and poke her in the butt because I know she's like, it better be Dale. I really hope that's Dale. How am I going to, how am I going to respond if it isn't? That's fun to do to your, to your better half. Like put them in some real, give some in public, yeah. Awkward. Percareous situations. You do that quite often. I know. I love it. starting school this morning. The girls get up. It's their first full day of school. I have these really cute dresses that I had their school logos put on. They wear uniforms, you know, but they have
Starting point is 00:15:13 like a little leeway with the actual garment. So I got these cute little navy blue dresses. They have collars. They have little puffy sleeves. They're adorable. So I lay it out for Ily yesterday. She sees it. She doesn't say anything. She gets up this morning and she is just full of attitude. She puts the dress on. She comes into Nicole's room because I'm already in there trying to get her dress. And she's got the dress on backwards. She's like, mom, this dress is in my neck and it's got puffy sleeves. And I was like, first of all, you've got it on backwards. Let's spin it around. See how you like it then. Well, it's still going to have puffy sleeves. I am not wearing this. I'm like, first of all, exit the room because I want the other kid who's also not into puffy sleeves
Starting point is 00:15:57 to put the puffy sleeve dress on. So like, take your attitude elsewhere. I was like, okay, go go go pick out your stuff then. You've got plenty to choose from. Go get yourself dressed. So she goes and she comes back. Nicole puts her dress on, fits like a glove. She looks at herself in the mirror. I love it.
Starting point is 00:16:12 And she's so excited to go to the same school as Nicole, or is Ila, that she doesn't care what she's wearing. Nicole has been waiting for this day. Forever. Over a year. She has talked about, when am I going to Isla school? When am I going to Iowa school?
Starting point is 00:16:25 As soon as she had preschool graduation. And I ain't never seen a kid so excited about the first day of school in my life. She was pumped. She was pumped about her backpack, her lunchbox, her water bottle, which she's seen before. That's very important stuff. All the things. And she didn't care what she had on. She was going to school with Ila.
Starting point is 00:16:41 And how did a carline exit go, by the way? So Ila used to get out of the car and like cling to the seat to the point where it was like embarrassing for the whole group. Crying, yeah. And Nicole's never really been like a crier when you leave her. She just kind of gives you a thumbs up, peace out, even at preschool. And so Dale does drop off because I don't want Ila to throw a few. to throw a fit. So we get to
Starting point is 00:17:03 drop off and first off, it was a high, high energy in the house this morning. Well, there was a lot going on. It started off with attitude and then it ended with me giving
Starting point is 00:17:17 Aila a bottle of water because she took some vitamins before she was leaving. She was going to give her a bottle of water just to swallow it down. She had no top on it. And then she doused herself in water. Right as she's supposed to walk out the door.
Starting point is 00:17:29 And I'm like, We got 45 minutes before she's supposed to get out of the car and Amy's like she's got to change. I'm like it'll drive. It wasn't like, it's a cotton shirt and it was on a small drop. She completely doused her white shirt. Yeah. Well, she changes, clothes comes down, everything's fine. We get in the car.
Starting point is 00:17:46 It's really just me. I am nervous. Yeah, Amy was super nervous. It's the first day of school. I'm nervous that Nicole's not going to have a good day. It's a long day for her. You just wanted to go great. I just wanted to go well and I want them to be in good mood.
Starting point is 00:17:57 So I'm trying to say as little as possible. but like there's all these little things that keep happening to like test my patients. So it's really just me. They're doing great. They're having a great time. So yeah, drop off was fine. This is the first time we're dropping off. We're both in the car and we get, we get ready to get out.
Starting point is 00:18:18 The clock strikes a certain time and Naila goes, it's time. Open the door. Nicole is next to the door. Nicole goes, I don't want to do it. and I'm like, yeah, just open the door and hop out. Everybody else is doing it in front of us in the cars. She didn't want to be the one to open the door? I don't want to open it.
Starting point is 00:18:37 Ila, you open it. And so Nicole and Ila shift past each other so Ila can open the door. And Ila got to give her a lot of credit. Yesterday at the, what do they call it? Orientation. Yesterday at orientation. That's a word of the day. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:55 Our drinking word of the day is orientation. As soon as we get there, Ila holds Nicole's hand, walks her into her classroom, shows her her desk, tells her all she can about this experience. And I'm like, we didn't ask her to do that. And I said to her later in the day, I said, Isla, I want to tell you something. That really impressed me how you were trying to make your sister really comfortable with that new classroom and all this new experience. I'm so thankful you were a great big sister there. No one told you to do that. You did that on your own and that was a great move.
Starting point is 00:19:29 And they're on the same, you know, they're very close together in proximity and classrooms. They're the same building. That's very nice. Yeah. But anyways, we get ready to get out and Ila's got to open the door now. So Ila opens the door. Coli's like, Isla, will you help me with my bag? And I'm like, Isla, you just help your sister get the bag out.
Starting point is 00:19:50 And I want you at least today, this first day, to walk with her all the way to her classroom. Don't take off running and see a buddy of yours and go go running up and leave her. I was like, walk with your sister all the way to her class first day and then, you know, to help her get through that process because she's going to do that by herself for the rest of the year. But it's great. Nicole's class is on the way to Isla. So there's no excuse. It should be really easy for her to do that.
Starting point is 00:20:17 The other thing that happened this week, like I think that it had to do with starting school for Nicole, was she decided that she's not going to go by Coley anymore. Two days ago we're sitting on the couch and she goes, mom, I won't be answering to Nicole. I won't be answering to Coley anymore or Nicoli. You can call me Nicole or you can call me Miss Nicole if you prefer. And I looked at her. I was like, what?
Starting point is 00:20:43 And she said, I don't want to be called Coley anymore. I'm like, okay. Is that because you're going to school? Like, I don't know what the deal is. I was laughing so hard. I couldn't really. wrap my head around what to ask her, but she was dead serious. And so yesterday we're at orientation and we're there with Christy outside. They had a bouncy house after the whole thing was over.
Starting point is 00:21:01 They had like a festival happening. And so she's getting ready to take her shoes off and go do the bouncy house. And I was telling Christy about this. And she said, hey, Coley, da-da-da-da-da. And I was like, just waiting to see if Nicole was going to turn around. She absolutely held to it. Until Christy said, Nicole, she didn't turn her head to look at her. bang yeah she's serious she doesn't want that little nickname to follow her all the way through the rest of her school life i guess okay so she's lost her junior i guess you know what she won't is it gonna be easy for you guys to adjust
Starting point is 00:21:37 no no i'm so call her coli so much more than we realized such a habit well i hate that she doesn't like it and she doesn't even told us it's a phase you think it's a phase i wonder if she thinks it's like little and she's like a Yeah, she's a big girl now and she's not taking Coley anymore. It's fine. It'll come back around.
Starting point is 00:21:55 I'm sure it will. Like somebody around her who has known her for a while will say it and then the other kids are going to pick it up. When she gets older and she drinks, that's going to be alter egos. Coley. Coley comes out. Oh my gosh. That'll be her Jimmy Jam. Her Jimmy Jam. Did you see this this week?
Starting point is 00:22:12 Brooke Nader? Ralph? Who's Brooke Nader? Not important. She's hot girl. I forget what her dad's famous for or what their family's famous for. her sisters are hot. She's dated some athletes. She went on a vacation in Europe with her family, and I think that they're on a boat.
Starting point is 00:22:30 Yeah. These people are from Louisiana. They're not Europeans. She is topless on the boat right there next to her daddy, completely nude. And he's looking at her boobs right there. So weird. It's so weird. I mean, I know people do this in Europe, and they have topless beaches, but like you don't take your tities out. out in front of your dad when you're 25 years old.
Starting point is 00:22:53 Can you imagine me doing that in front of my dad? I'm feeling weird now. It's so bizarre. Yeah. And she's got sisters. I guess the sister that's crouched down right there is half naked also, but the whole thing is so weird. So this picture is like gone viral and people are.
Starting point is 00:23:08 Oh. I have those same swim trunks that he has and I feel weird now for even having the swim trucks. You have those same trunks? I'm pretty sure I have those swim trucks. It could be you, Travis. It could be you. Like, I just don't get it.
Starting point is 00:23:20 don't either. Like how, so here's the thing. Like, she did it knowing that she was close enough to photographers so that they would take her picture because she likes attention. Um, or she had no idea. And then why are we doing it? The whole thing doesn't make any sense to me. It's just bizarre. It's one thing if like she was photographed on the top of a boat and like her dad's down below. Yes. And she's just laying on her stomach. Yeah. Or even on her back, but it's like just the girls up there, but like. I'm telling you right now. My dad's on the same boat.
Starting point is 00:23:51 I don't care how big it is. I'm not taking my tities out. Not happening. Would you ever eat at a restaurant naked? Because that's a new thing. What? No, we don't even like chopsticks setter metal. We don't eat naked.
Starting point is 00:24:08 There's this restaurant, I think down in Florida, the first Monday of every month. It's clothing optional? You can go in there and dine naked. What kind of food is it? Like a steakhouse. It's a steakhouse. Like a strip steak. You're eating some meat with your meat out.
Starting point is 00:24:23 Your meat's on the seat. Eating meat. Yeah. That's freaking weird. Girls, it's like 150 guys, 200. I think couples, it's 300. You have to pay to be naked? They don't pay you to be naked?
Starting point is 00:24:33 Well, that's part of the dining, like the whole, like eating and everything. Dale's locked up. He ain't even going to respond now. He's done. He's left the building. Please tell me what the name of this restaurant is. No, don't. Have you ever done anything weird like that, Ralph?
Starting point is 00:24:48 eaten at a restaurant naked? I mean, anything weird that falls in that category. I couldn't explain it, but I had to try it just once. No. Like, we were in the south of France, and I still didn't go topless on the topless beach. There were only a couple of ladies that were topless,
Starting point is 00:25:04 and they were like the nonas of the group, you know what to mean? Yeah. He's too scared to say too much. I don't want to insult anybody. Speaking of vacation, should we talk about the other topic? What topic? I've gone to a tanning bed before, like before a vacation, and I can fall asleep in like 30 seconds in a tanning bed and I'm out.
Starting point is 00:25:21 Hold please. You go to a tanning bed? I went to like before like going like Mexico. So like you're not going to get burnt when you go down there. You go lay in a bake bed? You go in like two or three times and just get like a base. Yeah. Like it's come off a winter time.
Starting point is 00:25:35 Do they still have those beds now? Like you can go lay in a bed still? Yeah. I didn't know that was still a thing. I mean, I always get spray tans because I always do that. Fun fact. You definitely still get burnt. Fun fact about tanning beds.
Starting point is 00:25:47 dad and Teresa did an ad for a tanning bed back in 1984 or 85. I have that tanning bed. Mm-hmm. I have laid in that tanning bed. It's been a while. I never. I never once laid in that tanning bed. Oh, it's so relaxing, man.
Starting point is 00:26:08 I have it, though, because it's like a relic. And I'm like, me and Amy started dating. I mean, this damn tannabed, let's count the days. I mean, it was 20 years old then. Yeah. Over that, 25. Would you climb in? I mean, tannadeds are dangerous enough as they are.
Starting point is 00:26:27 Yeah. Would you climb in like an original tannabed? Before they knew what they knew? Yeah. They probably like, you know, got smarter and we're like, hey, man, let's not use them kind of bulbs. That's killing people. Let's put these types of bulbs in there. It had the bulbs in it that got really hot.
Starting point is 00:26:42 True. Like on your skin. You know, the tany beds, like, as they developed, they would. they were more like lazery than they weren't so heat hot. I always looked at tanning beds as there's no way that's not bad for you. Oh, it's awful for you.
Starting point is 00:26:56 Yeah. Like, and this is like one of the first iterations of tanning beds ever. Like, it's the OG tanning bed. It's the OG tanning bed that's probably got all the bad shit going on.
Starting point is 00:27:10 You know what I mean? It was so old. The bulbs had to have been weak, right? Yeah. I feel like they were weakened in a weekend to stay. Whatever you need to tell yourself. Well, I never, like, really got tan in that thing.
Starting point is 00:27:19 I just, I laid it in a couple of times and gave up. Yeah. It was also, like, where all the gym equipment was, so I would work out, and then I would just, like, lay in it. You used to lay in that damn thing all the time. Really? Yes. Gross.
Starting point is 00:27:29 I know. I mean, no one's going to clean it. That's why I'm saying gross. I probably laid in there in Sean's crusty sweat. Hell. I'm sure I did. Gross. And whoever else you let lay in that thing.
Starting point is 00:27:43 Teresa. Oh, my God. Dad, I don't know. You got your own. Was that your dad's tanning bed? Yes. No, that was that tank. That came out of their house.
Starting point is 00:27:51 Oh, I thought maybe it was like an extra one. No, it's fucking the one. That's even more weird. Did your dad lay in it? Maybe. Did he naked? Get naked in that thing? More unlikely.
Starting point is 00:28:01 Just a lot of sweaty butt juice. Man, my head is really having a hard time right now. Oh, man. This has gone too far. I can't imagine Bill's he in a tending bed though. It's not even in the notes. I used to get so hot in the tanning bed that like I'd sweat and then I'd slide around in that thing.
Starting point is 00:28:17 Gross. Yeah. That's a freaking disgust. But they spray it out afterwards. They, if you go to, yeah, this one. Oh, yeah, we need to clean it. Nope, just let it air out. We need cleaning nothing.
Starting point is 00:28:30 Maybe that's why the bowls were weekend. From all those sweat crusted up on the top of the lens. Yeah. Gross. Pretty gross. We should go check it out and see if it still even fires up. Did you have the cleaning up the bathroom vanity? Yeah, so Dale and I are at the beach house last weekend.
Starting point is 00:28:44 We decided to hop down for a couple of days. and we go hang out at one of our favorite little restaurants, and we're sitting outside having a drink, and I go inside out of the bathroom, and there's just like really long vanity, and there's water everywhere. Where's this? In Sullivan's.
Starting point is 00:29:06 And so I just inadvertently wash my hands, but I start cleaning up the vanity, because there's like so much water it's going to get on my clothes, but also like I'm just kind of disgusted with whatever pile of women or one person that did this. And so I clean it up. And it's like second nature to do that. And I kind of do that anytime I go into a public restroom and I wash my hands. If there's paper towels, I like I just wipe the sink down before I throw them away just to make sure there's no extra water anywhere.
Starting point is 00:29:33 And so I come out and I tell him Dale about that. And he's like, I do that too. If I'm in the bathroom and there's a bunch of water. If it's really gross, I wipe it down. Yeah. Does anybody do you do that? Amy come out and sit down and we were waiting. her food and she goes, man, the bathroom vanity was full of water. I cleaned it up.
Starting point is 00:29:50 Sorry. She was kind of explaining her delay. Why it took so long? Her delay. And I was like, no shit because I literally just did the same thing. Like I was in there, men's bathroom, and there was water all over the place. And I washed my hands. And now I got this complex. Like, I did this. Somebody's going to go in there and think that I left it this way. Yeah. And so I'm like, oh, I'll clean it up, wipe it up. No big deal. Second nature to do that. I don't leave it. If there's multiple sinks, I will try to go to one that's not, but if then I will. Yeah, I mean, if I'm in an airport, I'm not cleaning vanity in the airport.
Starting point is 00:30:25 No. I'm just, this was a restaurant, single, bad, you know, single stall, one urinal, one sink. Yeah. And you're the only one in there. And you're going to leave. And the next person that goes in is going to go, damn, that guy destroyed his place, you know. The thing is, there were so many people that came in and used it and washed their hands and didn't clean it up. So that's what I was wanting to talk about it for is like, who else is cleaning up the vanity and who else is just going to leave it as is.
Starting point is 00:30:53 I would say every, you know, every fourth person just uses it and leaves one out of every five might wipe it. I feel like it's more like one out of ten. Or one out of ten then, fine, one out of ten. But there are some sloppy people out there. Clean up the sink. It's like give your hands a shake before you go to get the paper. towels over in the middle. And if there's paper towels, there's really no excuse.
Starting point is 00:31:20 If it's a hand dryer, I get it. If there's paper towels, wipe your mess up. Just clean it up. Yeah. I don't know. It's no big deal. I feel good when I do it. Tidying up.
Starting point is 00:31:32 I feel like a good Samaritan. Yeah. You're always doing the things for brownie points. And I taught, you know, and you're not acts of, acts of service. Access of service and doing good isn't, I've learned that doing good and good deeds aren't the key to going to heaven. That's right. So Dale used to think that if you did a couple of naughty things, if you did a bunch of good things, it would cross it out. It does.
Starting point is 00:32:07 It does not. If you get to the gates and you're like, I don't want to get into this any further. this, but if you get to the gates and you're like, all right, y'all, open it up. Y'all remember that thing I did, y'all, y'all saw what I did, you know? Y'all saw all the good stuff I did, right? Let me hit the button, right? Let the real roll.
Starting point is 00:32:26 Open it on up. Y'all know I did all that good stuff, come on. But that's not what gets you in. And so when I learned, I just... Your faith gets you in. Yeah, I just recently learned that. The good deeds are just extra. Yeah, the good deeds don't really...
Starting point is 00:32:41 You're, it's kind of like you're supposed to do the good deeds. It's not really like you get a reward for it at the end. But I learned that and I'm like, oh, man, I'm still going to do the good deeds, you know, because it makes me feel good. Yeah. So you do it for yourself. And that makes you a good person or makes you feel like a good person. It kind of like is a cyclical effect of life for being good. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:04 You know what I mean? Now, I don't always do every, I don't, I don't, I'm not like walking around doing good. all the time. Like there's probably some I'm not aware of or self-aware of, and I probably walk past a lot of shit that I ought to clean up or pick up or do or help somebody with or whatever. You're not as not as you used to be. No, I'm way better. I used to be a real piece of shit.
Starting point is 00:33:29 Total punk. I don't know if I'd call you a piece of shit. We can all think Amy. Punk I'd give you. Golly, man. Especially when I was not, you know, about to have to do something I didn't want to do. Yeah. And I still get that way.
Starting point is 00:33:43 A little bit. I still get that way. Not near the level that you used to. If I got a job to do that day or the next day, I'll get in a bad mood thinking about it. And I'll be like, man, I don't want to f***ing that. Why do I do that? Why did I say, you know, months ago, I'd go do this thing. I don't want to do it now.
Starting point is 00:34:01 I want to be home or whatever. And I'll start treating everybody around me like, I start stomping his eating house. I start, I get short. I'm a walk harder. everybody knows. And then I go home and I think about it. And I'm like, man, I was a d-a-oh.
Starting point is 00:34:15 I was an asshole. And I'll call them or text on me. I'm like, man, if I was a-h-hole, I'm sorry. I feel bad. I'm just annoyed by this. Sorry, what I said. And then I'm like, man, I'm just exposing myself. Now they know I'm an asshole.
Starting point is 00:34:29 Maybe they didn't even think about it. Or didn't even. Now I'm just like. You remember me being a-oh? Oh, you don't? Oh, well, never forget that. Never mind. Just kidding.
Starting point is 00:34:40 I didn't. I don't even know why he's brought it up. Just kidding. Should we get into a... There's a TikTok trend we want to try. Yeah. Oh, ready?
Starting point is 00:34:52 I got to get my phone. I left my phone somewhere. Why do you have it? You handed it to me. Damn, I did. Dang, dude. I was looking for it a second gun. I'm like,
Starting point is 00:35:01 I watched the video. The girls getting out of the truck and walking into school. So I don't have 10. You also need to watch the truck. So for the people, it's this trend going there. the spouse asked them why they're unfit for war. So Amy would ask Dale why she's unfit for war. I only got six.
Starting point is 00:35:18 Six reasons why Amy would be unfit for war. Instagram scrolling would bog down her unit's communication ability. That's so true. I think it's funny. He thinks I'm on my phone more than he is. But you are on Instagram a lot. All right. She would be often...
Starting point is 00:35:37 That little green dot is not real, you know? Hello. I also get notifications. So like when people that I know, message me, I can get to it fast. Number two, she would often be distracted by any canine units and let any street animals into the camp. Yes, I would. We'd have a whole zoo. Number three, she would misplace the keys to the Hummer or tactical vehicles.
Starting point is 00:36:02 You should sleep in the car. Number four, there's no going to bed before 9 a.m. every night. Says that wouldn't work. 9 a.m. 9 p.m. I'm sorry. Number five, she would quit after a few days of no plumbing for showers and poops. I mean?
Starting point is 00:36:19 For sure. And number six, she would fall asleep on night watches. Absolutely. Night watches are for you. All right. Why Dale is a no-go for war. Someone didn't wake him up to get to battle, so he missed it. Where's Mike Davis at?
Starting point is 00:36:41 Then he had to poop. so he missed the next one. T.J. said he had a game to play, so he missed the next one. Then he needed to take a nap, so he missed the next one. He's good. Finally got there, but he had to stop and shake hands and take picks with all the soldiers, so not everybody's dead. And then he decided, after all, he would just be friends with the enemies
Starting point is 00:37:10 because he actually hates confrontation. That's pretty good. Yeah. Got me. It got you. You got me good. I feel like that absolutely would happen. Those are like real-life options here for you.
Starting point is 00:37:23 Yeah, like you did a chronological, Dale's experience in battle. Yeah. I think both of yours are very accurate. Yeah. I kind of wonder what kind of animals I'd find in the forest now that you're talking about it. Would it be a squirrel? If anything came walking up near the gate, you'd be like, let come on, little feller. Come on in.
Starting point is 00:37:37 Don't get shot. Mama ice you. Come on in. Yeah, this bullet's flying everywhere out there. Come on in. Yeah, I don't want to go to war I have not made for outside For more than like, you know, fun times
Starting point is 00:37:53 Yeah I was just saying outside's not That means by the pool, by the beach Yeah, I mean, I can hang out in the woods And I can camp and I can do outdoorsy things But I'd prefer to have You know, shower up there Plumbing.
Starting point is 00:38:04 I have something to tell you To my fart in my chair? This was this morning. Travis took heed on our advice And he decided to move your stuff one inch I'm not aware I hear there's some moving around going on in QS
Starting point is 00:38:24 that Hanks is moving what that Garbo's is taking over the Hanks spot Oh Bob Pockris text me and he goes Hey man thanks for announcing when the NASCAR banquets are because I was on
Starting point is 00:38:39 we're on this show or that show this show Dirty Air Dirty Air so I was on Dirty Air and I was like Like, just rambling. I'd heard that the Xfinity banquet was on Tuesday night in Homestead after the race. And so I'm like, you know, we got the podcast on Mondays. So now, you know, if we win the championship, we're going to go to Homestead, hopefully win the championship.
Starting point is 00:39:00 We're going to go down to Key West. We're going to do our show. And then we'd come back up to Homestead to do the thing. And he texts me and he's like, hey, man, good job announcing when NASCAR's banquets are because they do them all together now, Cup, and O'Reilly. Yeah. And he's like, they hadn't announced any of it yet. You're always doing that.
Starting point is 00:39:17 And I was like, whoops. Don't tell Dale anything unless it's public knowledge already. I assumed it was known because like last year was at Phoenix. Like I just assumed. Yeah. I mean, it's really not that. I don't think it was a big. It's not spoiler.
Starting point is 00:39:34 So Garbo's going to have their own like because right now they just have like the airstream. Yeah. So I think they're taking over that whole little house and that whole thing is going to be Garbo's restaurant now. I don't know when that shift is starting. But Tim just went down to Keywater. West and told us that there was some whispering about how that's going to develop. It's no more. It's going to be a larger space closer to the Garden of Eden, closer to the bowl and all
Starting point is 00:39:57 that. So I don't know where they, there was a Brazilian restaurant right there on the backside of that. So maybe it's going to that space. I want to say, name it, grunts. rename it. That would be cool. Garbo's grunts. If you're listening, go back to grunts.
Starting point is 00:40:09 Garbo's, consider renaming it grunts. White grunts. Grunts was the original name. Grunts is like a nod. It was just a bar. food there's grunts with the military down there that's a nod to the military that's what you know the newbies and so um it was just a cool name grunts you know good place to go get a cold beer maybe they'll bring it back i think it might be hard though because now they've been like
Starting point is 00:40:33 featured on shows and stuff they were featured on shows as grunts oh i've only seen as garbo when he was on when it was on triple d it was grunts oh was it the actual bar was just the truck Garbo is just the food truck Gotcha, gotcha, gotcha. And it didn't used to park there. It moved around, so eventually it parked and now it's kind of developed into more, I guess, but
Starting point is 00:40:55 yeah, the beers used to be so cold in grunts, you'd get a frosty mug, and the beers were so cold that they'd stick to the bar top. So you had to get like a lid. And then it got so popular, they couldn't keep the things cold. And so they had to quit. And the ice would slide down the outside of the mug.
Starting point is 00:41:12 Mm-hmm. It was really good. I'm thirsty now. We're always so thirsty. When we tell you, hey, I am damn, me and Amy went to the beach this past weekend, and we toured up. Me and Amy had a good time. Now, I had my stomach bugs, so I was kind of on seven cylinders. But we had some fun.
Starting point is 00:41:34 I came back going, I can't hang out with you anymore. Now that I'm back to normal, you know, normal, feeling pretty better, pretty much better, pretty better. Pretty better. I, brain doesn't work fully, but better. And we got to be better. Got a weekend sort of at home. Dale doesn't know what to do with that anymore. I know what to do with that.
Starting point is 00:41:54 I'm going to make some buffalo chicken wings. He's going to make some plans is what he's going to do. Yes, he wants to... I want to grill some wings. To grill out. Yeah. I want to toss them in a bowl. Yes, sir.
Starting point is 00:42:04 And then I'm going to throw them back on the grill, and then I'm going to toss them out again. There you go. That's the way to do it. Yes, sir. I'm going to do that. I'm going to cook Amy and the girls, whatever the hell they want. Probably a little couple filets and maybe a chicken dress. He asked the girls.
Starting point is 00:42:15 He's like, because we don't. Eat chicken wings. The girls have never tried them. No. Ila did when she was a little bit. She's pretty open. But I'm going to cook everything that they won't cook. They gave him a list of like 10 different meats they wanted him to grill.
Starting point is 00:42:27 I'm like, this has got not a hand. I know it has. We don't need corn dogs and states. But now he's got options. It's just for fun. We're not going to the store to get all this shit. We're just having fun. Guys, hey, get excited.
Starting point is 00:42:41 And what he doesn't understand is they take everything pretty literally. Well, they're going to learn. not to. They're going to learn not to trust me. They have to learn. They're going to learn that I'm full of it and I'm just teasing them most of the time. We're going to make a list, then we're going to pull out the best shit and go, all right, this is what we're doing. Gotcha.
Starting point is 00:43:02 But hey, you're going to let me know what you think I should pick up. We're going to get this food. We're going to grill this on Saturday at the house. We're going to turn on some TVs and some music. The kids are going to swim. I'm going to have a good staycation. Yeah. It's nice to enjoy our house.
Starting point is 00:43:21 We're usually running off to do other things. I'm going to turn up some cold brews. I probably won't. I won't get it. After last weekend, I feel like I needed like pump the brakes. You may feel differently after a couple of drinks. Dale, you should make it like Amy's house in Texas and do some dancing around the island with the girls. He should.
Starting point is 00:43:40 We should have another like wedding ceremony or something or, you know. I don't know about that. Why? The girls would love it. It would be a memory. the wedding ceremony. When they have their own podcast in 20 years, they can talk about...
Starting point is 00:43:50 They did one. Just now. They're fondest memories. They can talk about dancing around the island with their dad. Of all the full-side weddings that they threw. Well, maybe we'll do some karaoke or something. Yeah, I'm just saying, put on some doors straight and dance with the girls.
Starting point is 00:44:00 Yeah. He does know how to two-step, by the way, and I have a video of that. I just got lucky for a little... I got lucky for like 30 seconds and did it correctly. I don't know how to do it. Yes, you do. You have rhythm and you know how to do it. He refuses to accept.
Starting point is 00:44:16 This is like, if I don't accept it, then it never has to happen when I don't want it to happen. I know who you are. I see you. He knows how to dance. Man, we're going to have fun this weekend. Saturday. Woo! It's going to be old school.
Starting point is 00:44:32 Rip it there. Woo. We're going to have a fun family hang out. He goes, we're going to have an Earnhardt pool party. I'm like, who did you invite over? No one. Now I'm thinking we need to get some caterer. No, it's me.
Starting point is 00:44:44 He's like the four of us. And the kids. like okay you know you've dodged one that should be plenty that's enough
Starting point is 00:44:53 it is I just wanted to make sure I had enough food is all yeah Amy's been dreaming about me a lot yeah
Starting point is 00:44:59 more than normal she dreams a lot about me but it's really ramped up here lately I've had dreams about him dying she dreamed
Starting point is 00:45:05 she dreamed a lot about me dying well I figured it up she would come in there she would she would come downstairs
Starting point is 00:45:10 when he was sick last week or whatever week that was yeah I was staying down on the couch so she didn't get the bug and she comes down there she's like hey hey hey I had no dream man you you are you
Starting point is 00:45:21 are you okay I came at him with a thermometer to his forehead she's checking my f*** tip of your like you're not going to die are you I was upset and he's like get away from me I'm fine now I'm awake thank you her um her her your yeah my therapist said that she's dreaming about me dying because she's afraid of losing me love has gotten so strong. She's gotten so comfortable and so dependent on that being the rest, the way it is for the rest of her life. She's finally sort of eclipsed this, crested this sort of milestone. She didn't say all that. Yeah. And, you know, she's just in love with me so much that she's afraid of losing me. So it's brain spotting. So you're like unlocking all
Starting point is 00:46:08 these weird memories and traumas and things. And so we were talking about the dream. I was like, I was thankful. That was a relief. And she's just. And she's like, He's like, well, let's try to figure out what the reason is. I feel like we've done the brain spotting. Yes. No, but I mean, when her, she says, she comes home and she goes, hey, man, got to tell you what my therapist said about those dreams about you dying. And I'm like, he blew me off.
Starting point is 00:46:30 He blew me off. Bull, I want to call him as soon as I get out. He's like, I can't. I'm like, but I'm like thinking to myself, I better buckle up because she might come in here with a witch and I have premonitions now and you are going to do. Like, it's a prediction, man. She thinks it's going to happen. I'm like.
Starting point is 00:46:44 You're a mental. Oh man. No. Basically, after the discussion, it comes down to Oh, man, what a relief. We have gotten to such a good place
Starting point is 00:46:53 after all these years of living together and, you know, trying to give each other grace and all that. That's a massive load off my shoulders. I'm scared of losing him. She just loves me. Yeah. I'm not going to die.
Starting point is 00:47:04 She's not going to murder me. Yeah. I know. I'm not going to smother you in your sleep. The therapist lady says he's good. He's not going to die anytime soon. Phew. Oh my gosh. I feel like that's a good place to end the show. Thank you guys for listening.
