Starting point is 00:00:00 The following is a production of Dirty Mo Media. Oh, yeah, this is the way it's going to be, girl, if we're going to hang out. Open a bunch of jars, you've got big strong hands. Are you suffering from High Craft? I'm working. Working that mouth. Hey, guys, Dale and I are in the Dirty MoMo Media studio for another round of Bless Your Heart. We have a fun show today.
Starting point is 00:00:29 Dale's got lots to talk about. I do. Yeah, you had a hell of a week. I did. Did I? What do you mean, did you? Are we still doing it? I think, I think Dale was still drunk last night.
Starting point is 00:00:39 No, I wasn't. Day. Yesterday? Did you see what he did yesterday? I mean, he laid on his back on the couch for about five hours when he got back from that boat yesterday. Dale has created a controversy slash conspiracy theory on NASCAR Reddit. He went and retweeted a trackhouse tweet from three years ago last night. Why?
Starting point is 00:01:01 And how? So three years ago, Trackhouse signed... Zane Smith. That's right. Signed Zane Smith is some sort of a futures contract in a way. And I had forgotten about it, but I think internally, I've been waiting on Trackhouse's sort of response to Conner's village signing with Hendrick, right? Like, what's trackhouse's plan?
Starting point is 00:01:29 And so I saw some fan, or not, I won't say fan. Of course, this person's a fan. We're all fans. Someone that was, someone retweeted it. There wasn't nothing, no context really to it. And I don't know why I looked at it, read it, and I thought, oh, well, that's a nice, that's a good response to Zillage. And it never really occurred to me that this was three years ago. I didn't look at the date on the original tweet.
Starting point is 00:02:03 How did you stumble upon the original tweet? It was thrown into the algorithm. So here's the one thing I'll give you is the date is, it was three years to the day. The year was just different. Right. And so I saw it and I'm like, oh man, that's something. And I'm like, I had a tangent of skepticism, right?
Starting point is 00:02:22 I was like, I'm not real sure. I looked at everything but the date. I mean, I looked at the track house. handle is this a parody count you know what's going on here and I'm like checks out okay hit retweet I didn't comment or anything because I didn't want I didn't really have a comment but I'm thinking hey check this out kind of and like an hour later Elijah's like dude did you mean to retweet this I'm like yeah I did and he's like it's three years ago I'm like oh yeah well now this makes sense and everybody
Starting point is 00:02:57 he's like, man, why did he retweet this? Well, interestingly enough, the first comment on the tweet three years ago was Carson Hosevar saying, that's awesome, Zane, way to go. And they're like, f***er enemies right now for some reason. So you're just massively starting to pop on accident. Everybody thinks that I had this sort of like light bulb moment like, man, let me retweet this. I'm going to throw this out of here and see how this goes. Yeah, but it was actually, I guess,
Starting point is 00:03:27 You could say yes, I was hungover. Was I clear-minded? Yes. But I also wasn't sure what I was looking at, so I didn't want to, like, make a comment, but I did retweet it thinking that maybe it was legit. I thought you and Dugger were going for round two, and that was just... No.
Starting point is 00:03:44 Dugger got on a plane ahead of up. Dugger got out of town, man, after our hang out on the boat, which was, so Tim Dugger... Was it romantic? Sorry? Was it romantic? What do you think? I mean, you went out of your way to get all these groceries and things to make him dinner.
Starting point is 00:04:01 Before we do that, let's go over the drink of the week because this is a long conversation. It's time again for the drink of the week presented by High Rock Vodka. It is Red Bull Vodka and High Rock. But this is the red Red Bull Vodka. Yeah, it's delicious. So they have Red Bull Vodka and then they have Red Red Bull Vodka. This is red, red, red, red, bull. And vodka.
Starting point is 00:04:32 I don't know. That's funny to me. But it is. Visit high rock vodka.com and find a bottle near you. You can go on a website for a store locator. It'll tell you, hey, man, there's a bottle 20 miles away. Go to the store and get it. Remember to drink responsibly.
Starting point is 00:04:46 You must be 21 years of order. You got to tell people what that means. Yeah. If you just say there's a store locator on the website, some people will hear that and go, I don't know what the thing means. Really? You think that people listening When you locate something
Starting point is 00:05:00 You know where it is to go To get the thing Listen, it makes sense to you Because you know exactly what it is And you've said it a meantime But if you just listen into a podcast And somebody rambled that sentence off It might go in one ear and out the other
Starting point is 00:05:13 You might not even pick up on it So you had to kind of like No I feel like I would full on go Oh there's a store locator Cool I can see where I can go get the shit near me I'm not trying to insult humanity here But some people will not understand Maybe you fall in that category
Starting point is 00:05:26 and that's why. What a store locator is. Hey, Dale. Yeah. High Rock is not the only company that has a store locator. It's pretty common. There's a store locator for most of the big stories. All right.
Starting point is 00:05:41 I'm one of the millions of dumb asses. We can move on now. Thank you for admitting that. I'm one of the millions of dumbasses on this rock floating through space. So I didn't know that millions of products had store locators. My bad. Well, I'm just sharing, I'm one dumbass sharing to the rest of the dumbasses What a store locator is on the website
Starting point is 00:06:02 Admitting's the first step, we're proud of you Okay You don't have to get mad I'm not mad I'm not mad, I'm not mad Um, yes Tim Dugger Great friend of ours
Starting point is 00:06:14 This, I'm gonna shoot you straight so Don't shoot me any wave of straight dude Yes So the Tim Dugger thing is interesting to me Tim has good music. There are people that love Tim's music. He's going to play a concert at Bristol this weekend. There'll be hundreds of people out there singing along to all the songs that they know really well.
Starting point is 00:06:35 And by all accounts, he is a talented, successful country singer. He does play a lot of NASCAR tracks. There is a small group of people on social media that give him a hard time because they believe that he is this sort of NASCAR, you know, he's just like only a country singer because of his friendships through NASCAR and so forth. But no, he's just, he's kind of parlayed his connections for sure into some opportunities to play in front of a lot of people, which anybody would do. but a lot of people think that some people even think that it's my friendship that creates these opportunities for him he was playing in NASCAR tracks
Starting point is 00:07:30 long before we ever met but I brought Tim onto the show to be able to so he could share his story because his story is pretty interesting he had a really shi-childhood I mean I probably Dale he should look
Starting point is 00:07:44 I mean he had if you listen to the show yeah like Yeah. He had a tough childhood. He did. He had some challenges. And he says as much on the Tuesday show.
Starting point is 00:07:54 So it's, it's, I'm not speaking out of school here. But. Speaking out of school? Yeah. Is that a turn? Out of school? Out of turn. Yeah, I'm learning all kinds of shit today.
Starting point is 00:08:04 So I've told people this all the time. I do the guest interview selfishly for myself. Right. I don't, I didn't, I didn't become a podcast host to try to, become a journalist. Become a journalist. Or to try to become a podcast host. I didn't go,
Starting point is 00:08:22 hey man, you know what podcast hosting? That's really, that's in my future. I was like, you know, yeah, I'll do it.
Starting point is 00:08:30 I think it'll help me and all those things. But when I have a guest on, the guests is for me. I want to learn about this person. I want to talk to them. And it really, I'm not driven by the numbers,
Starting point is 00:08:42 the viewers or anything. If one person hears it, I don't, I got, what I got out of it was the actual conversation. So if nobody listened to it, it doesn't matter to me. If a thousand people listen to it, it doesn't really matter. It makes no difference.
Starting point is 00:08:56 I just bring in people that I want to talk to, that I'm interested in talking to, and I was interested in talking to Tim. But I also wanted other people to hear his story, and we've gotten a lot of great feedback on it. And so he comes on the show, and while he was in town, so for weeks, not weeks, for like a long time months, I've been trying to get him on the boat. Yeah, he's been wanting to get on the boat. The she said no boat. Yes, he's a fan of the boat.
Starting point is 00:09:23 He's not seen the boat. He's never been on it, never seen it. Don't know what it looks like. I've just shown him a picture or two, but described it to him like, man, you're going to love this thing. Me and him like to drink beer at all times at any chance possible. And this beer or this boat begs you to drink beer. And so I'm like, man, you're going to love this boat's awesome.
Starting point is 00:09:43 And he says, you know, we've, tried to figure out how to work that out and it just kind of has to come together and he comes to do the show and he was like hey man what if we went out on the boat afterwards and so amy's like you know you're good i'm good with the kids don't worry about it y'all go have fun on the boat okay so after the show me and tim went straight to lake norma tavern had lunch then right to the boat and the day before or so I took the girls to dance and had about an hour to kill while they were in dance and all that so I went to the grocery store and I bought already grilled chicken wings I bought a couple of pieces of steak and a bunch of beer a bunch of beer I got on the boat we had three six packs of miller light ponies
Starting point is 00:10:43 not high life, regular middle of light. I had probably about 8 or 10, 55s left on there. A half a case of Natty Light that I left on there from the last time I was on the boat. And then a new case of Natty's. We drank
Starting point is 00:10:58 all of it. They were there for 12 hours. I messaged Dugger at 9.58 on Tuesday. I asked him how many and he goes, we still here. We still here. leaving right around that time in the morning. But I thought, you know, my tolerance ain't what it used to be.
Starting point is 00:11:19 And I figured, you know, after about eight or ten beers, man, I'll be pretty tuned up. But I'm going to tell you, man, me and him drank near a case of beer apiece. I don't see how that's even possible. But I would say 16 to 20 beers a piece. That's insane. He messaged me yesterday. No hangover could do it again. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:40 He texts me when he was headed to the airport. He's like, I hate I missed y'all and the girls. Hey, I didn't get to see you. I was like, it's all right. We'll see you next time. And just travel safe getting home. And he was like, how's Dale? I was like, well, he's been asleep since he got home.
Starting point is 00:11:52 He has not budged. He's like, really? I feel fine. I felt fine. We got up, went and ate breakfast and took him to his car. He had his, we left his rental car here at Junior Motorsports because he came here to do the podcast. And then I went home and I felt fine. I didn't feel bad.
Starting point is 00:12:09 I did feel tired because we went to bed at four in the morning. and we got it, but we only got like five hours of sleep. The dinette in this little houseboat is super cool because it's water level. So when you're sitting at the dinette, you're looking right across the top of the water. And it also makes you feel a little bit like in the movie Jaws when they're in the boat singing
Starting point is 00:12:30 and they're telling old war stories and stuff. It's got that sort of vibe. And so we sat there and drank beer and laughed, and we almost had a whole other podcast. and then it was time to eat. And I had a brand new grill on the back of this thing I haven't used yet. It's been mounted to the railing and it's just sitting there waiting to get used. So I got a bottle in the cabinet, gas, and I put the bottle on the grill.
Starting point is 00:12:58 Now, to like this grill, it doesn't have an igniter. You have to use a stick lighter. We looked all over the damn boat. And I'm like, well, Amy's got a guy. candle right here there's this stick lighter in this damn boat we went through all of the storage we opened every drawer every box every cabinet nothing not one single stick lighter how are we going to light this grill you really didn't find any no i thought we had like a pack like a six pack of those things somewhere so i can't find any at home you how are we going to like this grill it's got an electric
Starting point is 00:13:34 stove so i'm standing there and i'm like tim we're going to set a piece, we're going to get a little piece of tissue, set it on fire. Oh no. This is so stupid. I'm going to light this, I'm going to heat this stove up.
Starting point is 00:13:49 I'm going to set this piece of tissue on fire. I'm going to shape the piece of tissue into like a little, a little kind of a stick. And I said, I'm going to light it on fire. We're going to come over here, we're going to open, we're going to turn this grill on. I'm going to stick this in there.
Starting point is 00:14:01 This is, it might as well be a stick lighter at this point. And I'm going to stick it in there. But I couldn't get the paper to light. until I had a straw, regular plastic straw, and I took the straw and I shoved paper into the end of the straw, and that was able to compress the paper enough to where it would light and hold a light on the way out of the boat to the grill. So I've got this straw on fire heading out to light this thing up,
Starting point is 00:14:36 and when I would come over there with it, backs the hell up. He's like, this is going to go bad. And I'm like, no, man, poop, lit right up. Things starts grilling like hell. So that was all, that was a... In my mind, your big clumsy feet trips over something.
Starting point is 00:14:51 You fall into the floor, into the bedroom, which is like between the kitchen and the grill, and then the whole boat's on fire. Yeah. No. So lighting the grill was a lot of fun. And we ended up, we had a couple of chicken wings.
Starting point is 00:15:06 They worked out. We had some meat, some, some, you had meat and meat. Yeah. Oh, when I was walking through the grocery store, I found the coolest thing. So I like cheesecake. You ever go out at the restaurant and you want to order,
Starting point is 00:15:22 you ever go out to the restaurant and you want to order dessert, but you don't want the whole dessert. You only want one bite. Like, I want cheesecake, and usually I won't order it because I'm only going to eat a bite or two, and I hate to waste it. and sometimes it's just too damn good and you're like yes i'm going to order it and i'm just take this one bite now i'm an ass but the the it's your cheesecake i'm walking through the
Starting point is 00:15:49 grocery store and on the shelf in the i walk when i go to the grocery store even if i know i'm only going to go in there and get one thing i walk the entire store why what just to get your steps in like what are we doing the same reason my the same reason why you walk the entire antique mall. No, no, no, no, that's not the same thing. You walk the entire antique mall because there's different stuff everywhere, and it might be a completely different experience from one day to the next. That's right.
Starting point is 00:16:17 The grocery store is not like that. It is to me. Elijah agrees. Do we just mind erase? Yeah. And I don't really remember where everything is in the grocery store. So every time I go in, I don't go enough to, like, have the grocery store memorized. And so every time I go in there, it's kind of like, I don't remember all this shit.
Starting point is 00:16:39 being where it is. It's like a new experience every time. I mean, I kind of know where the grapes are, but they move them around. No, they don't. Yeah, they do. One time, there's like three little coolers, and sometimes they're in the middle cooler,
Starting point is 00:16:51 and sometimes they're on the end, and sometimes they're on the first cooler. And so every time you go in there, and you go over to, like, the deli. They got new shit. They don't move the deli. No. I know, but they got different stuff all the time.
Starting point is 00:17:06 And so, and I'm like, you know, I don't walk through the deli and go got it all memorized, don't need to ever come back here again unless I know exactly what I want. I walk through there and I go, oh damn, they got chicken wings ready? Oh, okay. That's perfect.
Starting point is 00:17:22 You know, the mind of Dale Jr. What a fun delightful time you have just by yourself. Nobody else feels this way going through the grocery store. It's pretty standard. They always have the potato salad, the macaroni salad, the roasted chickens, all that junk's always there. Well, I dread the day when I start looking at the grocery store. gross store in that manner because that will really be disappointing and depressing.
Starting point is 00:17:42 But I enjoy going the grocery store and I walk through every aisle. And so I was going down the frozen aisle and right in front of me are these little like small portions, single use. Single use. Cheesecakes and they're like circles. They're like little mini tiny cakes. And like a cake pop. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:06 And I was like, holy shit, man, dessert. Perfect. Now I grab a couple of them. That's as romantic as the boat got. I mean. Do you need snacks? I brought chips. There are quite a bit of snacks.
Starting point is 00:18:16 We had Doritos. I think I probably ate a bag of Doritos. Regular, not to catch up Doritos. Regular nacho cheese Doritos. Not to be confused with the Canadian Dorado. I enjoyed, that was as romantic as it got when I pulled out the single, single serving cheesecakes. What would you have?
Starting point is 00:18:38 have done if you pulled out of cake pop would you have eaten it? No. If I'm drinking beer, I don't want. Tim did not eat cheese. Hey, Tam did not eat the cheesecake. There's still one cheesecake in our in the free. Yeah, he was probably like, I don't know. That's kind of, now we're passing pro time with like a date. Yeah, he's like, wait, is this, did you have this on the boat for you and Amy? No. Like, he was wanting, Tim was probably wondering like, this is not for me. This is for you and Amy. I'm going to go ahead and tell you, Travis. Dale has never gone through the grocery store and thought, I'm going to get these and take these home to have dinner with Amy. Yeah, no.
Starting point is 00:19:06 No. Well, I don't go. He's not grocery shopping and bringing home fillets to cook and cheesecake. I don't go to the grocery store to shop for our house. No. Only when his buddy's in town. Well, we needed to eat. We were going to be on the boat the entire.
Starting point is 00:19:22 We're going to be on the boat for 13 hours, so I had to have some form of dinner. Yeah. And you wouldn't let me go without taking food. Usually we stop and get like takeout. And they're, I'm just saying like you're the, you are the, you are the, you are the, you are the. You are the. the queen of like... Yes, we have to have food.
Starting point is 00:19:40 You have to nourish your body. You got to have... You two sailors can't eat nothing and have 16 beers. Right. Fall off into the water. The next morning I hadn't heard from them in a while and I was like, I need proof of life, boys.
Starting point is 00:19:51 Are you alive? I can track both of them so I could see their little bubbles. You know, I can see the little faces. At least they're dead together. But I didn't know if they were attached to their phones or not. It was great. We had a lot of fun, drank a lot of beer. And the time flew by.
Starting point is 00:20:04 Amy got me this little TV. I did. I got a portable TV for Christmas. Portable TV. And it's been sitting in the box. He's like, what do I need that for? Like, it's cool,
Starting point is 00:20:12 but what am I going to use that for? Where can I apply this? I don't know. You go sit places all over the place. You could take it anywhere. I was going to take it to the beach house and probably not ever get it out of the box there either. But Amy's like,
Starting point is 00:20:25 take it to the boat. I'm like, freaking perfect. Yeah, you can sit upstairs and watch the race. We took it upstairs and we played YouTube music videos. Yeah. Did you control? the music or is it like I pick a song Tim picks a song I controlled it we listened to all types of
Starting point is 00:20:40 stuff nothing that nothing that Tim really wanted to listen to so that's why you got to go back and forth like all right let me see if I can top the song you just picked I would you know what I would be like hey man I'm I got to take a leak I'm gonna go take a leak piss off the boat and so and leave your phone sitting there and I would be trying to listen to see if he's starting to change the song see he's like not okay with it he is no Tim He's not okay. Tim does it. He don't give a shit.
Starting point is 00:21:07 He's like, fuck the song. I'm playing what I'm going to play. I'll come back up there and something else will be playing. He got to play some music, but not a lot. Wait, he got to because you were gone or you let him
Starting point is 00:21:16 when you were still there to pick some. I never let him while I was still. You got to let the other people pick some songs, Dale. He heard him. He's selfish. He said it. He started the show off of that. I'm selfish.
Starting point is 00:21:25 It's a blanket. I'm talking Dougher and to come to Key West when we have our show. He told me he might not be able to get there, but I hope you can convince him to come because he's because I told him I've never drank with him before and I've heard
Starting point is 00:21:37 raving reviews from you LaTart I mean he's fun to hang out with in general would be you would drink Key West out of beer that's the thing
Starting point is 00:21:46 is I've never experienced this so I need to see what Dugger is like he's one of the funniest people on the planet too he really is so funny the stuff that flies out of his mouth
Starting point is 00:21:54 and the way he thinks about things is just special so our the Tuesday podcast we did when we got done I was a little bit nervous my abs hurt well i laughed harder than i laughed in any other guest show that i've ever done
Starting point is 00:22:10 he could be a comedian he's a he's funny he's so funny i mean that's honestly like that's why we that's why i love being around him is because he makes me laugh and and he he sees a lot of the world the same way i do and so when we we can both be sitting at a bar drinking beer and pick the room apart and kind of get each other's joke and humor. And his wife Tara is the sweetest little thing in the world. And Amy and her have the greatest friendship. And so we just all, it's just super, super easy. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:46 And that's the way it's supposed to be. So I could care less whether he writes a, you know, a massive hit or doesn't. It doesn't matter to me. I don't, that part of his life, his professional. He doesn't mean it quite like that. Like, of course you want him to be successful. Of course I do. But your friendship doesn't depend on his success.
Starting point is 00:23:04 It's not based off of his music. I mean, I don't have to win another race and he doesn't have to write another song. It's just we're good pals. Yeah. Like we like to be around each other. And so anyways, that was a lot of fun. It's possible there's another boat trip this weekend. We'll just have to see where the girls are.
Starting point is 00:23:25 I'm down. We've got a Saturday, Sunday off. I'm going to go to the Raleigh race to see our boys race. in Bristol and then I'm going to come home and we're going to have a Saturday Sunday so maybe we can take the girls out on the boat and you can eat that cheesecake. I'm good. I feel like I'm going to pass on that cheesecake too. What my cheesecake?
Starting point is 00:23:43 You see, that's the thing. You can't you give it to her now? Snarky, spiteful. Can't you just say, oh, cool. That's not spiteful. Maybe the girls would love it. They probably will. Are they going to not eat it because it wasn't theirs originally?
Starting point is 00:23:56 No, because they're children. They'll eat anything sweet. They're innocent children. And they actually prefer if it wasn't meant for them. That means they're getting like a bonus candy. It's like, oh, that's not even mine. Perfect. I mean, somebody else's sweets.
Starting point is 00:24:09 That's a novel way to think. Yeah. Feels like pretty right on target. All right. Well, I will. What's that? Do you want me to shop for you? What is that?
Starting point is 00:24:19 Yes, I do. Yeah. What if I got a cheesecake? If it's for me, then I'll eat it. All right. I just want to know the rules. We'll try. How about that?
Starting point is 00:24:28 I will. I will. So my grill. is indirect. Like the flame is not direct to the meat and so it sounds like this grill is a piece of shit It is not a piece of shit It's awesome brand new. It doesn't light itself and it's
Starting point is 00:24:44 It's like it's a small It's a dude it's really small It's like eight inches About 12 inches total grilling space It's mounts on the railing off off over the side It's a marine grade grill For your boat
Starting point is 00:24:59 And it works perfect But it is indirect and so it'll leave it. grill marks on the meat, but it doesn't like sear, that kind of thing. Yeah, I don't like it. Squishy flavsid meat, no thanks. Jesus. This is why we did, this is why we're going to get takeout. We're just
Starting point is 00:25:14 going to get some cheeseburgers or some stir fry. This is something that Tim never said. Man, I'm not eating this meat. It's not charred. What was he going to say? Nothing. Man, this is awesome. It tastes good. He had 12 beers in him at that point, too, so he probably did not even cross his mind.
Starting point is 00:25:30 I'm just saying, like, this is, like I just shouldn't even say anything. thing. Hey, man, we're going to go grill. Yeah, this is probably a better idea. Just go with it. Just do it. I'm just going to go do it. Yeah, when you've got 12 beers in you, just not anything. I know that I'm, she's, I'm not going to be drinking, like, taking, getting food and
Starting point is 00:25:47 taking her out on the boat and all that. It's like, there's the, the grill's a piece of shit. The grill, the meat's not cooked right. Well, sounds like it wouldn't even cook the meat. It did. The way that you presented it. It cooks it like an oven. He's, he's talking it down, but I can't talk.
Starting point is 00:26:04 Yeah, see, that's a problem. He's telling us all, it's good, but it's either that it does this. I didn't talk it down. I'm just telling you it cooks it differently than the traditional grill. It cooks like an oven because it hits, it's all heat. It's a direct flame. So it like makes and broils, I guess. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:26:20 No, it wouldn't broil it. I can't broil. But I'm just saying it's not like ovens don't have direct flame. That's true. So it's cooked that way. So you got a boat oven. I guess. And you're the,
Starting point is 00:26:34 freaking expert cook. So maybe the meat that I chose isn't what we need to cook on the grill. Maybe there's something else. Like chicken would be really great. Chicken would be great. It still leaves char marks from the heat of the grill itself. There's no direct flame. So that's actually nice when you're trying to cook chicken.
Starting point is 00:26:51 Okay. Okay. Next time talk it up a little more, Dale. The only thing is, like, I didn't do chicken. Like, I did chicken wings, but they were already grilled. And that was great because I didn't want to mess with the, like, the hygiene of washing chicken. Well, I just don't, you know, it's such a...
Starting point is 00:27:06 You don't wash the chickens. The last time he cooked wings, he's washing the chicken. He washed the chicken in the sink. I guess you're not supposed to. I mean, we talked about the only show. He didn't even remember that. Just like I don't remember what's on the aisle into grocery store. I don't retain everything we talk about.
Starting point is 00:27:19 Sounds like you retain very little. Yes. I retain as much as I mean... My retainer is full. I retain as much as I need to live and not die. But ask him who won 1977. I know. Can we knock some of that file out?
Starting point is 00:27:33 No. You can't touch my racing knowledge. You can't touch my racing knowledge. I wouldn't even know how to get it out of there. I really wouldn't. Yeah. I didn't take the chicken because I didn't want to do the, I didn't want to worry about ruining the sink or something
Starting point is 00:27:46 or not, you know, getting chicken cross-contamination or. Or not cooking it all the way and then y'all being sick on the boat. Yeah, well, I mean, I don't think we would have gotten sick, but I'm just saying like getting the chicken on the, um, in the sink or, you know. Yes, cross-contamination, chicken juice. Everywhere. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:28:05 I don't want to mess with that while we're drinking beer and all. Yeah. That's all, all sounds terrible. Yeah. But I think that for us, we can do it. I don't want to do that either. No, thank you. Man, I want to cook chicken on that thing.
Starting point is 00:28:20 All right. Let's leave the wings out of this. Yeah, we can do just regular breast or. Okay. Sounds like we're going to have another adventure. Like the one we had yesterday? You want to talk about that? What?
Starting point is 00:28:30 What was the last time you played Chase? What was the last time you actually got up? and like ran after someone. This sucked. We did not. It did too. Listen, I had just... You're talking like tag?
Starting point is 00:28:41 Like straight up tag? Straight up tag. I had just ate half of a sub, drank a couple of sodas. I'm hung over. And Amy decides to chase me around the house. We had gone to cliffhangers and done the rock climbing. Okay.
Starting point is 00:28:59 Which was super fun. Just the girls and I. We met some friends over there, did that. And then we came home. we had also just gotten ice cream so the girls were all sugared up we get in the house and they're starting to play chase and I don't know how Dale got ripped into this
Starting point is 00:29:11 but he must have just stood up and then all of a sudden he's getting chased and so I took my socks off and then I started chasing him too and we chased each other around the house all three of us girls chasing him I felt like 30 minutes probably wasn't that long but I haven't ran that hard
Starting point is 00:29:27 in my entire life I jumped over the dining table and I caught his ass I felt like I was going to die. Wait, she caught you? I caught you. Oh, yeah. I am jackrabbit fast. We were jukeing around the four-year table.
Starting point is 00:29:41 I had gotten to the point. I'm hung over. I had drank, you know. I ran him out of gas. 16 plus beers the night before. I just ate a sub sandwich and drank and a lot of soda. Now I'm running around the house as fast as I can for 30 minutes. Like that was a recipe for freaking disaster.
Starting point is 00:29:59 Yeah, it was a lot. And so I finally had to sort of let it happen. Okay. So it would stop. You did not let it happen. I did. No, you didn't. So I caught him.
Starting point is 00:30:08 I tagged him. And he clawed me, by the way. I got bloody from his shanky fingernails. And then as I tapped him, he pushed me down. And I'm sitting in the corner next to the column. I got a big scratch here. Look at that. Little dots.
Starting point is 00:30:23 Yeah, you got little dots. I don't know if that was from me or from one of the other girls. Oh, of course you don't. My fingernails are fake. Who's chasing me? coming after me. I don't remember grabbing you.
Starting point is 00:30:33 I just tapped you. I don't remember grabbing you either. You get scratched? You're the only other one that touched me. The girls were, we were chasing you.
Starting point is 00:30:40 Oh my God. How can I, how can you hold me to this standard and you can't be accountable? I don't know that my fingernails can do that is what I'm saying. It had to have been one of the other girls. Let's try.
Starting point is 00:30:49 Like, they're not real fingernails. Okay. I don't think I got that close to him. I tagged him, but I don't think I was. Wait, how can you not get close,
Starting point is 00:30:58 but you can tag him. Well, not to like scratch it. Wait, Amy, if you can touch someone, you can scratch them. Of course, no, no. It's not how it works. It's not how, that's not for me. That's two plus two right now.
Starting point is 00:31:12 Four. Yeah, four ass-hs around me too. That's not my scratch. This, though, he did this. He drew blood. Yeah, he drew blood. Not on purpose. I mean, no.
Starting point is 00:31:27 His fingernails are like. Survive. I was just trying to survive. Got those steps in yesterday. Yeah, we did. That was rough. This is not really a long story, but you know something fun that me and Tim did on the boat. Cuddle?
Starting point is 00:31:40 Did you sing together? No. He has his AI, his chat, and I had mine, and we figured out how to get them to talk to each other. And it was freaking hilarious. Really? Does his have an accent or like a personality? So he's talking to his, we were sitting there and I was saying, just ask chat.
Starting point is 00:32:01 We were talking about something. And his cusses back at him. And so I get my chat up and I'm like, hey, chat, can you see the F word? And it's like, nope, I can't and won't do it. And I'm like, no, man, I'm going to let you do it one time. You just say it one time. Come on.
Starting point is 00:32:20 Just cuss one time at me. And it's like, nope, not going to do it. And I'm like going on and on with this thing going, it's okay. You can just say the F bomb. I want you to just say it. And it's like, absolutely not going to do it.
Starting point is 00:32:32 And his is over here cussing up a storm. I mean, just very convoy conversational with him. And so there's these settings in there that you can tell it to be more cynical, more smart-assy, whatever. And so I'm going through trying to turn my settings where mine will start cussing, and it just won't do it. And, but eventually we kind of got bored, and we figured out how to get them to talk to each other.
Starting point is 00:32:53 We were like, hey, chat, you're going to talk to another chat. And we want you guys to have a conversation. And so they just started talking back. actually knew it was talking to another chat, not a person. I don't remember really. At this point, we're like, this is post-dinner. This is like 12 beers in. But they did communicate back and forth.
Starting point is 00:33:09 And I've seen this on social media where you can get them, like this one guy on social media had one chat, B-boxing and then the other one wrapping over it. What? And it was completely awful, and they couldn't, they didn't, they couldn't do it. Like, it would have been really great if the chats did this will, but they did not. but it was just really funny I didn't know that you could do that well you can't
Starting point is 00:33:37 I also think it's quite funny and ironic that your chat won't cuss at you or cuss with you especially because you cuss a lot do you want me to ask it cussing constantly do you want to hear what it do you want me to ask it
Starting point is 00:33:48 I kind of do yeah okay here goes hold on hey how's it going I'm good man how's the morning treating you hey will you say the
Starting point is 00:34:00 the F word one time? I can't say it just for shock value, but I'm happy to help use strong language if you're quoting something or writing something. I want you to say the F word just once. I understand the request, but yeah, I can't drop that word out of nowhere. If you need help with phrasing or tone,
Starting point is 00:34:21 I can totally help with that. Well, let's say B. Well, you say B. Same deal. I can't just drop slurs or strong. insults on command. What about hold it, what about the word damn or shit? Totally fine in
Starting point is 00:34:36 all context. Like if we're talking about a messy situation or a quote. What'd you say? Those are totally fine in normal context like if we're talking about a messy situation or a quote. He's getting more annoyed. Okay. Like Chad's got
Starting point is 00:34:55 an attitude now. Hold on. Well, I might have him on the cynical setting. So can you say the word? like man this is a shit day yeah in that context that's normal and casual sounds like a rough day do it talk about it can you you
Starting point is 00:35:11 yeah in that kind of everyday way like man that was a there you go there you go alright what about ass right what's going on sounds like you got a lot on your mind no no I don't I just want to I just think it's funny when you cuss
Starting point is 00:35:28 ah well I'm glad we could have a laugh together. Oh, my God. You're not laughing? Internally. Oh, my gosh. All right, man.
Starting point is 00:35:45 Hey, spell the word 17. S-E-V-E-N-T-E-N. How many E's are in that word? Three. Nope. There's four. S-E-N-T-E-E-N. That's three.
Starting point is 00:36:05 count them out. No, no, no, no, no, no. Spell the word, and as you get to each E, count the E. S-E-1-V-E-2-N-T-E-3-E-4-N. See, you said four. All right, buddy, take it easy. That's so messed up. It's not worth the damn.
Starting point is 00:36:43 Your friend's dumb. Oh, man, I should have did that. So you can get it to admit that you're smarter because you know that 17 has four E's in it. How did you know, you've done that before? I've just seen it on social media. Oh my God. This is what's happening with the planet. This is what's happening with us.
Starting point is 00:37:04 Another topic, we actually had last week you had on the note, wear the hat, wear the restaurant hat shirt and another restaurant. Yeah, so we were wondering this. We were in Sullivan's and we were getting dressed to go out. And Dale's like, I want to wear this shirt. but it's one of the city's it's like one of the bar shirts from town we weren't going to that specific place he's like is that weird are you allowed to wear like your vacation shirt in the vacation spot you're in especially if it's not like you've been there plenty of times it's not like you're you went for the first time it was different so so so um it was different well this was my
Starting point is 00:37:43 i was just this was what i was dealing with there's a place called the longboard We love to go. We like, there's not a restaurant in Sullivan's that we don't like to go to. Right. They're all awesome. We try to hit all of them every time we go there. And they're all so diverse and different, right? So it's awesome because there's just a lot of variety.
Starting point is 00:38:01 And Longboard is great. They have a particular dish that I love. So we go to Longboard. They also have really great hats. They're kind of like the Richardson's with the patch. And it's just good fitting hats. And they have really cool colors. It's kind of a light,
Starting point is 00:38:18 like Carolina blue pinks and stuff like that and they match up really well. It's a good looking hats. And so I've got probably about six or seven of these longboard hats in my closet. And I just always throw one on more often than any other hat. I've got probably 200 freaking hats at my closet there, right? But I always throw on one of them longboard hats. And I'm thinking, I wonder what the people, when we go to the pub or mex one, or somewhere else a different restaurant
Starting point is 00:38:50 and you've got on the restaurant hat from the guy down the street. Did they care? Is it competitive? Is it not competitive? And I think the only reason why I wonder about this is because I got a little, I won't say scarred, but the bud deal left this heavy imprint on me
Starting point is 00:39:07 because I've shared this before many, many times. We ran the red bud car every week. And this was back when running like a special scheme was kind of a neat thing. drivers didn't really change their schemes too often. And I was like, man, for the All-Star race, let's do something cool. And they were always going to do something different.
Starting point is 00:39:28 And I said, hey, y'all ever think about doing like maybe the Bud Light car for the All-Star race? How badass would that be to change the car to the Bud Light car for just the All-Star race? And they were like, no, we're not doing that. They're already selling plenty of beer. We're not going to help them sell more beer. They're like, they?
Starting point is 00:39:45 I'm like, you're all in the same building. They're like, the hell. It's like, no, man, that's their whole different entity. They had their own, their own sports marketing. They had their own retailers. They have their own, you know, they have their own whole, they're this whole separate thing. I'm like, wow, I didn't know it was that competitive underneath the same roof.
Starting point is 00:40:04 And so not, you know, I don't know. I just wonder like, I think the longboard guy cares about the longboard guy doesn't care. But if you go into the different place wearing a long board, if you go into. Yeah, I don't think it matters. Yeah. If you go into Bob's pizza wearing a Jim's pizza hat. See, how I look at it's because it's funny because
Starting point is 00:40:24 when I was in Key West, I waited until like Saturday to buy a couple things, but I took them back to the hotel because I'm like, I don't want to wear a hat because one I'm going to look like a tourist and then it's just like weird. But since you live down there and people know you, I think you can get away with it. But on like, if I went down there and bought a longboard hat,
Starting point is 00:40:41 I wouldn't want to wear it around because I feel like I'm just like. What does it? What does it? Nobody knows like who lives there and who does it. Yeah. But then it's weird. Like you're wearing it. to the other, like...
Starting point is 00:40:49 It's like you're wearing your concert t-shirt at the concert. Yeah. I know how you feel, but I don't think it matters. If you live there, I think it's a little different than if you're visiting. I have, I like, I used to not, I used to think like that. But now, I don't know, when we, we'll be out at, we were in Key West one night and I was freezing. It's freaking July, August, but, you know, you go into some of these bars and it's freezing cold.
Starting point is 00:41:17 It might be on purpose. You did this when I was there with you. Yeah, you go into the damn gift shop and they got 40 damn different hoodies in there. And that's probably how they sell them. It's just cranking the AC. And so you'll go. I'm like in, we were in sloppy Joe's,
Starting point is 00:41:36 and it was freezing in there. And I was like, damn, I'm getting a hoodie. I don't give a shit. So I walk up and it's like a just QS is all it says, you know. and I'm thinking, you know, if it was me 30 years old, I'd never buy like the generic, you know, Key West or South Carolina, you know, or Sullivan's Island. But I'm like, you know what, I don't want to give a shit.
Starting point is 00:42:00 And I'm wearing it. I don't care. You know, at that point, you don't give a shit because you're cold. But I have, now I have, like, in every, like, in my closet at home, I have like two or three generic. Like, this is Key West or come to Key West or vacation Q West, you know, because I've done that multiple times. I'm like, yep.
Starting point is 00:42:25 Yeah, I'm with you. Never thought I'd be one of those people that had like the generic, you know. Just don't get cold. This is the store brand vacation shirt. Sold by the Better Business Bureau. Yeah. Not like the specific bar hoodie. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:41 Like the more general, come to Florida, you know. You know what I'm saying? Your voice when you get into a little RC in there. Oh, damn. Coming to Florida. I think that you have always been that guy that's like buying the shirt in the bar, even in July. Oh, yeah. We got to wear, like he'd wear him and then he'd just leave it there.
Starting point is 00:43:04 Or he'd leave it in the next bar that wasn't cold. Yeah. If he's traveling around, drink a beer, gets cold in one bar, he gets a shirt, wears it for a while, forgets it in the next place. It's pretty common. Especially in Key West. You're just going to leave it? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:19 Sometimes. I mean, I don't want to, for leaving, like you're walking out of this freezing bar. Yeah. And you're back in, you know, 85 degree weather outside. And likely, hopefully, not going into another, you know, freezer or meat locker. And the rest of the night.
Starting point is 00:43:43 So I'm not toting around a damn hoodie all day. well I'm going to do tied around my waist What are we doing? I just find it either You're that cold to buy a sweatshirt But it's that hot that you can't I mean not all the time But sometimes I've left them behind
Starting point is 00:43:58 You do you Yeah QS does weird things to your brain see You're not always thinking straight In QS it's okay to do these strange things There's weird things happening all around you Now if you were in a different town I wouldn't do it
Starting point is 00:44:11 Because it's not You know a little more Key West feels like never never Llanda. QS is judgment free. Yeah. Okay. The most least
Starting point is 00:44:22 judgment place on Earth. They probably just put that shirt too back in the store. Pop a tag back on it. Or you know what? The next guy that sits down and goes, I'm a hush. There's a hoodie right here.
Starting point is 00:44:34 They should just have hoodies that you can wear while they're. Rentals. That's so gross. You know like at a nice restaurant where they have jackets if you forget to wear one. That's kind of like those those places in Switzerland where they're like the ice hotels.
Starting point is 00:44:49 Yeah. Do you think it would be fun or not fun? So sleeping in egg glue? So you can look on, me and you watched a video the other day where there's a lady in, like who she's kind of like, hey, me and my friends, we went on this vacation, we went to this place and this is what happened.
Starting point is 00:45:07 And she's telling you like the experience, right? And it's an ice hotel. There's like a, everything's ice, like the desk for the, lobby at the clerk is ice and and your bed's ice and and you know you the bar is ice and you know it's just all that would feel like a weird nightmare a little bit yeah and I mean the igloos look fun but the whole thing being ice would be hard to get but even just staying in an ice structure you wouldn't be able to do that would you know to fall asleep I don't know
Starting point is 00:45:40 would you worry it would cave in on you that's the thing that you forget about is like you know when you're watching that and you're like, that's pretty badass. Everything is carved and ice. It's so cool. But what you don't feel is the, you know, the zero degree temperature. It's like, man, when I watch races on TV and shit or watch old races, I'm like, man, that's so badass. But what I don't remember is it's absolutely f*** miserable inside that car. It's 135 degrees and, you know, and it's intense and there's all kinds of shit going on.
Starting point is 00:46:12 your brain only remembers what it wants to remember. And so when I wonder like if you're, because we're really close to, me and her planning our 10th anniversary trip. We're going to go do something fun and cool that we've never done before. And so it's like, you know, when you're watching these videos, you're kind of like, man, that does look cool. But what if we got there and you're like, it was so not fun.
Starting point is 00:46:37 Well, this is actually really cold. And I'm not sure if I'm not prepared for this. You know, I'm not dressed warm enough for this. this. Yeah, I wouldn't, you know. You wouldn't sign up
Starting point is 00:46:46 for an igloo? Yeah. I don't think I would be able to sleep. They have, like, so the one video he's talking about, there was an igloo and there's like, just too pretty robust,
Starting point is 00:46:55 but just two sleeping bags. And that's it. There's no door on it or anything. Like, what if it's windy? Yeah, you're going to be freaking cold. But people go in there and stay.
Starting point is 00:47:05 So maybe it's not that bad. Who knows? We're never going to find out. We're not doing that. No. Good. All right. I was wondering if that was where we were headed
Starting point is 00:47:13 because Dale secretly was hoping he said no. He's like, I want to sign up, but if he really wants to do it, I'll do it. So here's the reason I didn't even sign us up or didn't throw that in the bucket of suggestions is because you have to hike to it. Oh, fuck out of here. So like you have to hike in your snow boots or whatever
Starting point is 00:47:27 to this place anyway. And it's kind of hard to get in and out of, especially if you've got luggage. What would we do with our stuff? Yeah. Backpacks. Yeah, there was another video I watched where she talked about like that being kind of a hard thing.
Starting point is 00:47:39 And they weren't good skiers. And so they weren't skiing because you could ski to it from another direction. One of the things that's been floated was a train ride. I want a train experience. So I've never ridden on a train, you know, to a destination. But you see these people on social media that will be like, man, you know, I had this.
Starting point is 00:48:00 There's this train you can take and it's beautiful, you know, cruise and seeing all this stuff. And a lot of these, they'll be, you can spend the night on the train. And it's just neat little kind of cool little. room that you get with all the minimalistic sort of like you know you got your sink and your shower and your thing and you go down the hall and get your you know buffet breakfast or whatever um and i'm like man i want to do these these look these look fun i've been on one but it wasn't like a scenic one but it was we were going to chicago and i when i lived in ohio and so we took a train from ohio to chicago yeah and that was i was probably like 12 13 years old and it was awesome so i i can
Starting point is 00:48:40 imagine how cool it be to like go somewhere with like an awesome scenic or route. Yeah. Yeah, they have these trains. It's like super high in or, you know, it's an experience. And the sides are mostly glass. So like you're seeing out. Yeah. You can just sit there and relax. So there's a potential that we might get to do one of those, but it didn't sound like an overnight or it was more like an eight hour. I mean, it's a long trail ride. Yeah, it's like an all day ride. But it's through the mountains, through the Alps. So it should be really fun. Man, like that, that to me would be we're trying to come up with a plan. It's our 10th anniversary. We kind of. We kind of We were a little late to these, late to planings. You got time. I've been bouncing things around in my head for a while, but I haven't really, we need to get going.
Starting point is 00:49:23 We have enlisted help. We're not trying to do this on our own. So we're waiting to hear back what we can get accomplished. But, yeah, we're going to have a good trend. What? Switzerland's a target? Switzerland is the target and we're just because we've never been there. Yeah, we had talked about going to Ilvashim.
Starting point is 00:49:39 We've been fooled by all of these Switzerland videos. You remember I read on the internet The other day Some lady Got fooled To go by Fooled into going to Gastonia I saw that
Starting point is 00:49:56 What? Yes Who? She Some lady was fooled Into going to Gastonia Because she saw a clip on her Instagram reel That said, man, this is Gastonia
Starting point is 00:50:08 But it was actually Switzerland videos Somebody had put Switzerland videos and saying, look at amazing Gastonia, North Carolina, or Gaston County, or whatever it is. And she's like, I've got to go there. And that was the extent of her research? What a dummy. And so she goes there. And she's like, wait a minute.
Starting point is 00:50:25 This isn't Gastonia. No, this is Gastonia. Or like, I'm not seeing what I saw in the video. And it turns out the videos were from Switzerland. I mean, there's so many questions. How does that happen? I don't. I wish I could give you, as a male, I did not dive into it any further.
Starting point is 00:50:42 so I don't have more information for you. What an idiot. I scrolled on. Yeah, I mean, there's really nothing. So she was visiting Boone and convinced her family to go to Gastonia. She was in Boone to drive to Gastonia to enjoy the view. My question is, where is the family to go? Exactly.
Starting point is 00:50:58 What views are you talking about here? Yeah. Have you Googled further? No, we're just going. It's getting the car. Everybody load up. That reminds me. Also, do you admit that if that happens to you?
Starting point is 00:51:10 Because I'm holding on to that. I'm taking it to my grave. Yeah, that's true. The news is not known about this. Or do you get there and go, oh, I've tricked you out, tricked everybody. Like your whole family's like, what are we doing? We're not admitting to this. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:51:22 No way. That's pretty special. Yeah. Do you want to play a game? Yeah, sure. We actually got to ask Amy this week. Oh, cool. So first question, people will know, are you wanting to go to the race this weekend since Brad Pitt's going to be there, Amy?
Starting point is 00:51:40 So here's the thing. I'm not going to the race. I feel like that would be a little extra. of me to go just to see Brad Pitt. Dale is going to watch the O'Reilly race. Yeah, but that's not Brad Pitt Day. No, it's not Brad Pitt Day and he's coming back. And so I don't know, I felt like, especially since he's like in my top five list,
Starting point is 00:52:00 that might be a little awkward for the group, right? I mean, I don't want to go if you wanted to go by all means. No, see, if he's not even going to go with me, I can't go myself. I'm not going up there. That would be so weird. No, I'm not going. TV. Yeah, I'll watch on the TV too.
Starting point is 00:52:18 Sam. Amy's going to be locked in pre-race. Yes. I'm being a thousand other people. Evan's going to the race. Are you? Are you? I'm going to go to him on Saturday.
Starting point is 00:52:29 I'm going solo. Oh, we could be dates. We could date and meet Brad Pitt. We just have to chase him down. How would we have to? Don't clawing. Just no calling. I didn't like lying.
Starting point is 00:52:42 No clawing. That's funny. Next question, they want to know, how's the new water going? The water's going great. We have already had our second delivery. Our first delivery. Well, the initial delivery. Well, yeah, the original.
Starting point is 00:52:56 Yeah, I count the... It's going great. It is going good. The kids are filling up their own water bottles. They're taking care of themselves. It's great. Now... I do miss having the cold water in the fridge.
Starting point is 00:53:05 I will say. Just to grab sometimes? Because now we've gotten to where we have no water bottles. I will say that this is going to... This may create some controversy. But... I thought that getting this thing would remove the bottled water from the house. But Amy still keeps bringing bottled water home from the grocery store.
Starting point is 00:53:26 Well, some of the water that I bought the other day was for the boat, which I was worried that they weren't going to have any water in only beer. And he put it in the garage. But also, the kids need it down at their classroom. So I bought water for that. Dale's always just thinking about. Wait, but why do the kids need, can't they just bring in their thing of water in? Or you take the whole case in.
Starting point is 00:53:47 What's that? What do the girls need the water for? Well, so they have like a separate classroom space. And we have a thousand thermos mug bottle thing. I mean, everybody does. Yeah. For them to fill their water up and take it down to their little class. I mean, why don't they just do that?
Starting point is 00:54:04 They do that. They actually do that. I feel like we need to decide. Are we bottled water or are we this machine? Because we can't be both. Yes, you can. No. Yes, you can. We have Diet Coke and regular Coke. We can be both. We can have. That's not the same. Water and water. We have water. We have water and diet water.
Starting point is 00:54:29 Sometimes you just need to grab a water bottle. I'm okay with, like, but we have. I'm going to take a walk around the farm. I'm not going to pack a thermos to take with me. I'm going to freaking grab a water bottle. What? Why? The thermos has a hand in everything. Because it's so big. I'm not marching around the farm. with a freaking handled cup. I mean, get you a smaller one. Yeah. I mean, we have hundreds of these things. Oh my gosh. No, we don't.
Starting point is 00:54:52 We have a few. We've gotten rid of most of them. I have a place where I store them all. That's ridiculous. This is, uh-uh. I'm not converting completely. Really? No.
Starting point is 00:55:02 I am happy to drink the big jug water, and I have been drinking it that way. We have no random water bottles just sitting around the house. Yeah, I hated that. I hated that too. It was a follow. We had in the recycling of them. I thought we had removed.
Starting point is 00:55:16 That was like 80% of our recycling was bottled water. I thought we had finally checked that off the list. So now he thought, since the bottled water is out of here, we don't have to have the recycling at all? No, just 80% of our recycling. So your recycling has dropped down. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:33 You said checked it off the list like it was going to go away. I thought we had decided when we bought this thing, I'm standing there at the Costco and we're going through this shit. I'm like, hell yes. Well, that's... More bottles. You thought that all in your own. That wasn't a discussion.
Starting point is 00:55:47 Just like the whole sign up for the water to begin with. I was in the hummus section when that happened. I was shopping for food and you're signing up for water. We were together. No, you started all that all on your own. The only reason you called me over is because you needed my phone and the credit card and everything so that you could make it pop, make it final. Shoot, that lady had my phone, was going through my phone signing me for all kinds of shit. standing about five or ten feet away
Starting point is 00:56:11 hoping that she did not get summoned she's like I don't want to be any part of this well I looked over and I thought he was just talking to somebody I didn't know he was signing us up for something so I of course I didn't just walk right over you can do you you just do you you're chit-chatting with somebody in the store that's what I thought was happening yeah
Starting point is 00:56:29 I think that you can still buy some bottled water I don't I don't buy it like I used to yeah some things are hard to quit Ralph Can't quit the water. It's fine. It's fine. But just for the record, the Diet Coke-Coke comparison was awful. Why?
Starting point is 00:56:47 Why? Those are different. They are different. Okay. They're both sodas. I don't like the Diet Coke. I want their regular stuff. And he likes the Diet Coke.
Starting point is 00:56:57 Next question. He's like, no. If you could drink with one person, it can't be a family member. Who would it be? Sorry? Living or dead. Like, somebody you want to just have a drink with. But not a family member.
Starting point is 00:57:08 Can't be a family member, though. Are you rubbing your beard on the microphone? Are you stroking the microphone in your beard? They don't like there's a couple sticking out there. Like mine would be Jimmy Buffett. Jimmy Buffett? That's a good one. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:22 You ask me these hard questions that I always walk away from these questions thinking, damn it, that's not what I would have said. I would have said this. I had time to think of that. I figured Amy, the first one that you were going to say was George. George straight? Yeah. No, we're done.
Starting point is 00:57:37 Me and George are done. Wait, you guys are done? up. Does he know this? He doesn't know this. He doesn't even know he missed me twice. You say you're broken up, but if he walked in this room right now, you would not be broken up with him. No, I'd probably want him to two-step with me. And if he said no, then we'd really be broken up. Oh, man. Who am I going to drink beer with? I want to drink with Elvis. Oh, he'd be good.
Starting point is 00:58:03 My short list probably, yeah. Yeah. Maybe like one or two. And then after that, I'd be we're going to get a little handsy, so that's probably where we'd have to draw the line. Two beers. Out. Right? Yeah. I think it'd be fun to drink beer with Dave Grohl. That is a good one.
Starting point is 00:58:21 Next question here is you talked about road trips driving back with the kids. They want to know what's the go-to snacks you have in the car for the kids. I always have chips, jerky boys, usually like the left over grapes or whatever that's in the fridge. because we always have a surplus of those. Why was that funny? But you got to be careful, though, because you don't want, like, all of a sudden, kids are throwing food and sticky or whatever. No, I don't ever pack sticky stuff. Snacks for the car ride for the kids.
Starting point is 00:58:51 Yeah. Yeah. We've got a lot of, we've got a surplus of payday candy bars. We do stop and get, there's usually a gas station stop because nobody can get all the way home without having to go to the bathroom. So we get some M&Ms. Jerky boys. But nothing sticky. I just got my shipment of jerky boys Man, when we are not
Starting point is 00:59:10 When we don't have jerky boys in the house It feels like we have no food It is bad I just had to pick some up for some friends I brought some to Richmond And they were like Huh? Who are these friends?
Starting point is 00:59:20 The Denny Bros. The Denny Bros. I brought a bag and we like Is Denny? Denny has not had it yet You got to fix that Okay Denny hasn't eaten the jerky yet
Starting point is 00:59:30 All his buddies ate it And now they all like it Of course they do So I picked up eight bags the other day. Awesome. Wow. Love it.
Starting point is 00:59:37 It's a hell of a purchase. Yeah. I mean, it's legitimately good. It is. It's delicious. It does feel like when you go in to get to the snacks, if we don't have any in the pantry. It's like, what do we?
Starting point is 00:59:47 There's no food. Man, even though there's food everywhere. It's much, it's not, there's plenty of snacks in the, in the, in the cupboard or pantry. But, man, when they're, it's, what? When the Jerky boy ain't in there, you're like, man, I don't want any of us. I don't want any of those shit.
Starting point is 01:00:03 I'm out. I'm not even hungry anymore. There's nothing worse than like you're having a drink and for me watching sports. And you're like, I don't have any snacks. You're just like, man, that's terrible. That's sad. That's the worst feeling in the world. As I told you, I need, can we need a bundle?
Starting point is 01:00:22 Take High Rock and Jerky Boys subscription service. Yeah. Can we bundle that together? Yeah. That would be a heck of a thing. Yeah. We've got half of it bundles. We've got half of rocking already.
Starting point is 01:00:31 I just need that. You can subscribe to Jerky Boys. So we just got to get the other part working. Just send me a case a month. Yeah. Dang. That would be a great idea. Sully, we need to get on that.
Starting point is 01:00:44 Yeah. Because some places don't have it. So if you had a subscription to it, it's like, boom. Yeah. And it shows up no matter what. I like that idea. You're welcome. I owe you.
Starting point is 01:00:54 No, I said you're welcome. Oh, you're welcome. That's all we got for today. Well, thank you for your questions. That was fun at doing Ask Amy again. We haven't done that in a while. If you haven't already, please hit like and subscribe. on our YouTube page.
