All I've wanted to do since day one of the seasons has been like three Pete.
Yeah.
Or like back to back with this roster.
So like obviously we wanted to be dominant.
We want to win all the events.
But for me, I was like, all that matters is this is the three P for me.
Like I just want to be really fucking good and win champs.
Yeah.
And if that means with all the wins like before that, sure.
But you know, this is what, you know, we're working on day and day out.
Yeah.
That's basically been on our minds.
it's day one.
Like the whole team is just like,
we want to be the first team to do that.
All right,
welcome back to another episode of the Flycast.
We got episode 198 because we actually do care today.
Obviously,
it's going to be an episode that is less,
there's going to be a lot less interruptions this episode.
Oh, I hear that.
Because Maniac is not here.
It's my boy, JP in the building.
Fresh off of a win, off of a W.
Fresh off the dove.
Bro, that event looked crazy.
Dude.
The venue, the fans were fucking insane.
Yeah.
Like, it's, I don't know, I don't even know if the stream did it justice.
Like, when you're there, the stream, the actual, the stream looked crazy.
Okay, I'm glad then, because when you're there, the atmosphere was, it was literally, I mean, nothing like we'd ever see before.
Yeah.
Like, not, like, not even close.
I would say the first day sounded like, like, our champs grand finals, like 2024, like that loud.
But then it just kept growing and growing.
and I was like, bro, this is.
And like, the thing is, like, it's nothing like we've seen before here.
And we've had some really good events here.
Yeah.
But it's also nothing that we've seen before in Europe either.
Yeah.
Like, we've had some really cool European events.
Even in Paris, like, like, like, we've had, like, Birmingham events or even the Spanish event last year.
Like, it still wasn't this.
Like, this was, this was wild.
I mean, I mean, the fans went hard.
Yeah.
They were super on the gentleman's, like, bro.
So like the gentlemenates would leave the stage and another team would play and it would be nowhere near.
And then once they got back on the walkouts, it was just, I mean, look at this.
I mean, this is wild.
I mean, this is all like the French, like, soccer culture as well.
Right, yeah, of course.
Yeah, yeah.
But.
So, so I haven't really understood how it happened because, you know, obviously some of the clips of the stadium went viral.
Yeah.
So, like, people would hit me out.
people from my hometown or
and they'd be like,
how is this happening?
And I'd be like,
you know,
cod's just up now.
You know,
pulls for bullshit.
This video is crazy.
This video will go down in history.
I thought this was an AI video.
Yeah,
exactly.
And then I was like,
wait,
I don't think,
I mean,
this is literally how they were
during like the walkouts and stuff.
This video,
this video will go down
in cod history for sure.
I mean,
that is just unbelievable.
Um,
but do you know how it,
how it happened?
Because I know,
I know gentlemen's obviously
uh,
Gataga and a couple of the other French,
like a war tech and a couple of the French,
like big content creators are a big part of it.
But also, I think, isn't Gentlemates really big
in Counterstrike as well?
Yeah, so, I mean, what I've heard is the Gentlemates fan base,
it spans a lot of different e-sports,
and there's this core group.
There was one specific section that was doing, like,
all the chance, and it was like they rehearsed everything.
Yeah, of course.
Everything was planned for them,
and apparently they travel,
around with the team for like whether it's a rocket league event a CS event or whatever but that one
section bro when we were going up on the stage i was like please make that section a library like
i want that to be a graveyard over there yeah right right it was so fun it was actually so fun being
the villains for once i'm not gonna lie it was everyone everyone embraced it in the first match every
kill boston got was a was a cheer and like yeah everything else was just silent that is insane
never happened. I've been watching Cod for 15 years. I've never seen that happen.
The one thing I'll, like, remember to, for the rest of my life, is after we won the grid overload,
it's a scrappy grid overload to send it to game seven. I'm expecting a pop-off. We win nothing.
And I'm like, oh my God, we just sent it to the game seven. No one's cheering. Like, you know what I mean?
That is for like an optic team is like unheard of, you know?
No, it's never happened before. Like, because we usually, we, we, we have a lot of love.
in in in in in europe as well even when we played at eswc's which was in paris yeah like it was
you know a majority of the fan base was there to watch uh gota taga play but once he got knocked
out they all yeah that's what he was saying he was like they were still our fans they all became
optic fans you know like they were all they all they were like scompy skompy like they all
loved the team.
Like one of my favorite clips was like Seth getting that like,
I think it's like a four or five piece with a VMP on,
in Blackups 3,
like shoots the guy's body,
like hip fires the guy's body and then kills another guy.
And that was at ESWC,
the crowd popped off.
It was like one of the biggest crowds I had seen up to that point.
Because I remember watching those on stream and I just,
I knew the Paris fans would go hard.
Yeah.
But then you actually go to this event and you're like,
holy shit.
Like also I, I was,
I also think the venue was really good for it.
Apparently it was an indoor rugby stadium or something like that.
But the way it was set up, everything, the sound reverberated so well.
Like, everything felt like you were getting chills when, like, people would roar, you know?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
That's why.
I was wondering how I knew once I saw it, I was like, oh, I wonder how Hex is going to deal with this.
Yeah.
It's his first time in 15 years.
I mean, like, ah, shit.
but no i mean it was it was uh dude it looked dope shout out to the the ultras that um that are there
for the for the gentlemen mates you know i guess that's the group that you're talking about that
travels around to the different esports i mean that that is some beautiful shit man yeah i i i
would like to think that the optic fan base would you know what they've done we've done that
before like we've had uh we've had people that are big and obviously cod core cod fans but they'll
watch our uh you know our halo team our our gears award team our counterstrike team and we had one yeah
so um but to see somebody do it at that scale is that's crazy yeah for sure that is that is nuts
so the boys uh the boys pulled it out man were you scared at all this year it's it's a little bit
different you were here for the oh and 15s yeah so you know how low it was it was it was low then
like this this this is a cake walk this is like okay i know we're still like probably like
the best or top two in the game, every single rent.
Right, right, right.
It's just, you know, we just got to get past the hump of the final thing.
Yeah, people, people, dude, oh, man, the overreactions from the fan base.
Yeah.
I don't know how, I don't know how you guys deal with it.
And then it's like, it's hard because you get second and then you got to go back to these online matches.
And it's like, okay, now we got to grind for two months.
And it's like, we know we're really good.
And it's like, let's just make it back to the grand finals again.
And it's like, it was a setback.
And even after a major three, literally, we got back to our hotel.
we were texting and we were just like
dude
we all love teaming with each other like
don't let this like get us down like this is
we know how good we are
it's literally just this hump of the finals like
we'll get it we'll get over it
you know maybe we need some loser bracket
bracket cheese or whatever but come chance time
like don't even worry so you guys did throw
winner's finals yeah maybe just
just we we go through losers on purpose
just to see
I'm glad that somebody
else gets to understand the frustration of that. All I could think of was the
James Franco meme, the, you know, first time.
Yeah, right. They just, they 3-0 in winners finals and then lose a heartbreaker game
seven. Yeah. Without getting reset and I'm like, you know what? I think it's, I think it's
Yeah, don't get me wrong. The format, I mean, format is dog shit. I assume it's changing next year,
but. Don't assume, man. Yeah. We've been assuming it's changing for six years and it hasn't.
It's true. Think about that six, 20, yeah, six years. Yeah, six years.
basically.
At least the way
the, like,
the vetoes and stuff
works in the finals.
Like,
that has to change.
The fact that
the,
the team coming from
Loser Bracket,
at least for us,
because they added the extra overload,
we had a hard point
as to the end overload veto.
I was like,
if I'm coming from Loser Bracket
and there's no bracket reset,
I feel like I should have no vetoes
or something like that.
I feel like it should be
as limited as possible.
They just get to pick the map set.
Not even just pick the map set,
but like,
like,
you can still pick somewhat the order,
but,
I didn't for me it felt so cheese that we had all three vetoes that you could still use
you oh so you're saying you had a hard point veto a s and d veto and an overload veto in grand
finals so what did they have the same thing but like they basically just pick the map order
or like part of the map order and i was like it's so stupid that is so stupid but we'll take it i love
it no we will take it for sure it's about time we fucking get one
That is insane.
Yeah, going from, I think what, so what's the average placing this year?
1.7, 1.75.
Is that what it is?
Yeah, because you.
That's actually, yeah.
Yeah.
And people were calling, it's crazy what just one series can do.
Like, before, you know, if we would have won one of those finals before this one.
Yeah.
Because there was two other game sevens.
So it's like, we could have technically had three championships at this point.
The other two game sevens went the other way.
Oh, shout out the boys.
So they were, they, super resilient throughout the whole weekend.
Yeah.
Obviously, not only being the villains, but, you know, coming back from the, the 3-0 in the
winners finals to basically just, you know, stomping the home team in their, in their stadium.
And then going to the grand finals and starting some resiliency there, coming back to win in the game seven was, was dope.
Two things here.
First of all, the separation between, I didn't realize that.
That phase was second.
I just assumed it would be thieves,
but that does make sense at this point.
Yeah, true.
Average land placings,
no,
actually,
yeah,
because they have gotten top four
at every event, right?
Yeah.
I think it's been the top four,
has it been those four every event?
Or did Coy make,
Coy,
yeah,
Coy made the top four one time.
Coy had, I think,
two thirds.
Oh, okay,
oh, okay,
they just had the,
I think it was a 12th place,
the first major.
Right.
They bombed out the first major.
Uh, the,
the one thing that really,
that really,
stands out here, of course, is us, which is great.
But the second thing is that 12th place, too.
What the fuck.
Average placing is 12.
Not a great look.
Dead last.
Yeah, not a great look, unfortunately.
Oh, man.
Wow.
Yeah, it's fun, man.
I'm very excited.
I'm glad.
Have we opened the trophy yet?
I think they did.
I think they brought it on one of the podcasts.
Oh, they brought on the podcast.
I haven't seen it yet.
That thing looked fucking massive.
Bro, it was heavy.
Is it made a metal?
Yeah, it was like, it was like, it was like, it was like, it was not three.
It was at least like 45 pounds.
So it's not like 3D printed.
No, no, no.
It's like real.
I got to, I got to ask.
I got to know who made that trophy.
Because obviously in throwing events, like a trophies are a big part of the event.
And I, I host a lot of events.
And those trophies, bro, they get expensive.
Dude, I've spent.
It is probably, yeah.
It's probably up there.
One of the most expensive trophies for.
Dude, it's got to be...
Cod, e-sports, whatever.
How much do you think it was, Matt?
How much do you think that trophy was?
Matt makes things.
I have no, a lot.
I'd have no idea.
I would say, like, probably 15.
I was going to say 10 to 15.
Yeah, I would say probably my guess.
Probably 15 easy, is what I would say.
Yeah.
Because I've seen 3D printed trophies that are 8.
And we do, we come off stage and they go, okay, we're packing up your trophy.
And we're like, oh, you're not sending it to it?
Like basically
You just give you a tote
Yeah
And Paige is like
I'm not traveling back to Dallas
I'm like
Oh look at that fucking thing
Dude it is so sick
Oh man
Me and Damon go to the airport
30 minutes earlier than everyone else
We are so lucky
We got the two nicest ladies
Working there
Because it was apparently
12 kilograms
Over the max that you could
Possibly get on the plane
Oh my God
So they were like
You know this is a trophy we won
The Paris team gave it to us
after we won and they just said, you know, take it.
Like, if you guys can't take it,
we don't know what we're going to do.
We don't know what we're going to do.
So they were like, yeah, we'll see if we can make an exception.
They ended up doing it because, I mean, they were just, again,
if we got a really, if we got a someone on a bad day or not in a great mood,
it could have been really, really bad, but they were able to take it.
I've heard that, I've heard that that Paris airport is kind of deadly.
Yeah.
It's like, like I saw too raging about it.
It was, so because me and Damon got there early for this,
we were able to get through pretty fine,
but apparently the security line after, like,
once basically we got through,
was just extended by an insane amount.
And all the players,
we actually didn't think everyone was going to make it.
All the players and like two swoody,
like all the people who were traveling with us,
were all in like the security line
but like at different levels
and apparently they were just like trying to get up
together and just be like hey
Uncle Tush or hey hey cousin
Yeah that's what Suuty was going
He's like hey uncle Tush
cousin Dashi cousin Brandon
They were trying to and they're trying to like
basically cut the line and I think they did
cut a big amount
But the fact that they were able to make it
It was kind of insane
But I'm glad everyone was able to make it
I think Tush said he got there like two and a half hours early
and was sprinting to last boarding call.
Yeah, they had literally just made it.
Oh, my God, dude.
What do you think, not that you, I mean, you know, give us a little bit of insight,
but I think for the first time of Mason's career,
obviously he had last, last year was such a crazy year for him
to the point where like anyone who knows, I think Nick said it,
Nick said it best, like, his dope is dead at this point.
Like, he's already lived his prime.
was he supposed to go?
And so for the first time in his life, like, or in his pro career, there's a little bit of,
like, criticism, the creep it up.
Creep it up to Maze.
How do you think he dealt with it?
I think he deals with that type of stuff so well.
He's, he's a, I want to say he likes that, he likes being the villain.
He likes having that edge on it or that chip on his shoulder where people are kind of doubting
you.
Because, you know, I mean, he's just like super, he's, he's the ice guy.
He's like, you know, he wants to prove people wrong.
And, you know, it was in, you know, it wasn't in the cards last year because we were just, you know, super dominant and we didn't really have any faults towards the end of the year.
But then obviously we were, you know, losing the finals.
And then, you know, the MPC gets in and it's, you know, he's having a little bit of a struggle at the beginning.
He's like finally found his way with it.
But, yeah, he's, he's someone who loves to have that opposition.
like trying to go you know after him you know makes sense to me we've had we've had a couple of uh
and i think all four of them are like that which is like perfect for a team like like all for them
like when you're like when they're doubted you know what i mean yeah um because it's just competitive
like it's just a competitive drive in you like i i feel that the way too like if i get second
at something i'm working as like even harder to just be like okay i don't want to have this feeling again
you know yeah this is nuts man
mercilies remains the number one average
tournament placing with a 2.0 across eight events
the best start to a career we've ever seen
that his average
placing is two
that's insane oh my god bro
simps is almost three
abyses is three
jazes 3.9
and i think if you just include him on opta
because he had the toronto third place if you just include
the six events we played with him
I think it's a 1.5.
I'm pretty sure that's what it is.
Holy shit.
Oh yeah,
because what was the worst placing
we've had with Mace?
Third?
We had,
yeah, we had a third
major four last year
and then the two first
and then what,
the three seconds
and then the first year.
That's crazy.
That is unbelievable.
That's unbelievable.
His dope still remains,
I guess,
at this point.
Yeah,
well,
I'm glad as well.
I've always, when it comes to optic players, especially people who've played on Optic for a long time, like Shotsie and Dashy, scump, naid, like, people, like, formal, people like that.
I always wonder how they're going to do when they are the villains.
Because everyone else gets a taste of it, because if you ever play Optic, you ever play somebody on their home turf, like, you're going to be the villains.
And a lot of people that get their start, they get their start in Optic, like, like, like, Mace does, like, you know, really besides that one.
event.
You just never have that.
Yeah, you're like,
how are they going to deal with it?
But Mason seems like the, like,
I don't know if Seth was ever really good at it.
I don't know if Seth,
Seth liked the,
come on.
Yeah, he likes the,
he likes the dope.
Yeah, I am the king.
Yeah, you're right.
Actually, I literally can see him like doing that.
Bow down.
He loves talking about that.
He loves talking about that clip.
Bow down to me.
But, you know, they,
I mean, we were talking about this since,
I think after we,
lost major two, Birmingham.
We were in the airport line. I vividly
remember this. It's me,
Damon, Mace, and
Brandon, and I think
Tyler and Ant were
I think they were just through,
but we were on the security line and
Brandon and Mace are just like,
yo, how sick would it be? Because this is after
major two, but this is still like
pretty close after we
lost to Paris in
major one finals. Oh yeah. They were like,
you know, major fours in Paris. I like
I want to be in the security line. I want to be the
fucking feel it.
I want to knock them out of the tournament.
And like this is just the sim.
Like we have to go and win at their event, be the villains.
And then we have like, you know, the ultimate power of being both the villain and the
hero in one season.
And then you go to champs and then you win it.
So it was this long shot like funny little thing that we were talking about.
It actually ends up being true in the, like the major four part.
So they already had the script.
It was in the, it was in the cards.
The script has been crazy this year.
I mean the top four, because this is kind of like the monore for three year, right?
Where it's like the top four teams, all four win a major.
And now it's the fight.
Yeah, it actually really is like that.
Fight for champs.
And I was talking to Alexis yesterday.
I was going on my walk and we were talking on the phone.
And she said, what's the difference between champs and the rest of the events?
And I was like, well, champs just means more.
She's like, but like, but like, what's the difference, though?
And I was like, well, I guess there's not really just aura dip.
It's actually just or a div.
How do you explain it?
Yeah.
She's like, well, it's not like the Super Bowl because the Super Bowl like you, you know, it's a tournament and it gets to that part.
And like that's the big thing.
So like what's the difference?
And I was like it's for more money.
Like I didn't know.
It's but it's like it's ingrained now in God where it's like you have to rise to the occasion at this event.
Yeah.
This is like this is the one everyone wants to win.
Yeah.
It's like some there's something there's a there's a there's a there's a.
Yeah.
It's not a facade.
It's the same format that you see in every every other event.
We're playing same guns, same maps, same players.
Because there's not, is there a roster lock or people making change?
Wait, did I see Pred got dropped?
Dude, that's what I heard.
And from, I don't know, I was seeing like Zuma stream or something.
And he was saying that.
I have zero clue on roster stuff.
But I'm pretty sure you are able to make changes.
I don't think there is a roster lock, which kind of feels weird.
That does feel weird.
Like, I feel like you would, whatever team you played with in Major 4 would be a lot.
Yeah, you should be on a lot.
Yeah, I'm not sure the rules on that.
but I did hear that based on whatever rumors were going around.
Yeah, fucking bread being dropped before champs.
That's just insane, man.
Cod's a fickle business, man.
Yeah.
You got to always be in your A game.
Not actually.
Like, you're actually only as good as your last event.
Yeah, 100%.
Like, you'll see, we'll see people.
Well, it's, I was thinking about it the other day.
Like, I want to make a video where I'd go up to some of the players, you know,
and have them list who the best player in the game was for each title.
Yeah.
because I was playing Black Ups 1 on stream.
And every time I play Black Ups 1 on stream,
I love to trash it.
This game's terrible.
And I said the same thing for World at War.
And so I said it for World at War,
and Aix was in the chat.
And he said, yo, don't talk about my game like that.
My bad.
My bad.
Bro, you say that to Damon, too?
Damon is in love with World of War.
That game is awful, bro.
It's awful.
And then I was, you know, it's a joke when I say it about Black Ups 1
because I know people like it.
It's not a joke when I say about war to war.
Yeah, yeah.
That game's terrible.
So I was playing Black Ups 1 and I also said it.
I was like, yeah, this game is fucking garbage,
but like we got to get it done.
We got to play it.
And then Jay Cap popped in the chat.
And he was like, don't talk about Blackless 1.
And I was like, out of everyone in the world,
you're probably the only person that can say,
that can defend Blackop.
Because he was like, like, Cap was widely considered the best player in the game.
So I wonder what people's like, I wonder, especially like new kids.
Like if I ask Mason, like,
Like, who was the best Cod 4 player ever?
He'd be like, I don't even know a single Cod.
Exactly.
It'd be funny to go down the list for people that are very knowledgeable about Cod.
Because, like, Kenny was by far the best player in World War II.
And then you've got, like, you know, your Seth years.
You got your Damon years.
And every year it seems a little different.
Who do you think has that this year?
Is there somebody that really stands out?
I don't think there's a really big standout.
Yeah.
Like, I think MVP will probably be, like, a race between, you know, like, Brandon, scrap.
Yeah, like, same.
Whoever wins.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But, like, I don't think it's a clear cut as much as, like, some other years that you would see for sure.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Especially back in the early days, there was always somebody that really stood out.
So how's the, last year there was an entire month leading up to champs, right?
Yeah.
So you guys had, and you kind of had, like, um.
I wouldn't say an edge, but you prepared, you guys prepared way more than every other team is what it seemed like.
Yeah, I mean, that's just what we usually do going to chance.
Like, champs for us is like, at least the last two years when we won, it was like, this is the, this is the fucking lock-in.
Like, this is like.
Oh, yeah, not.
Oh, yeah, no, it was last year.
Last year was last year was the one with the one month.
So this is what, two to three weeks?
So it's like not as much, but it's still the similar mindset of like, okay, if there's any other.
If any maps that we still are, like, needing some work on, like, this is the fucking time.
Like, this is the absolute lock-in.
You know, this is the – well, technically, we can only play four teams because you don't play on your side of the bracket.
So we actually have a pretty good group of, like, of teams that we're going to scrum, which is phase LAT, Minnesota, and Falcons.
Right.
Because that's the other side of the bracket.
So that's, like, a really good core four.
Really good, yeah, yeah.
Plus, we like to do S&D versus amateurs.
so they don't have any elites or stuff.
So pretty much third set, S&Ds versus AMS is like kind of the way for us the last two years.
And it's worked.
So we're probably going to keep doing that.
And yeah, it actually is the just straight lock-in mode at this point.
Yeah, that makes perfect sense.
Because last year it was like, you know, we had a little bit of hype coming off of a dream hack.
But then as soon as champ started, we were like, oh, we know what every team's doing on every game.
I mean, it seemed like it took some people by surprise,
but now everyone's going to be prepared for that.
Like, there's no, there's no, there's no blindsiding teams going into this chance.
Yeah, and I would say it almost worked in our favor last year because we,
okay, so we weren't the top team going into champs because we had gotten third at that dream hack.
So I don't want to say we were overlooked, but like people are looking at phase, people are looking at LAT.
Like now it's a little bit different because we don't have that chip on our shoulder as in like, you know,
We didn't win the last event.
We won the last event.
So now we know everyone's looking at our shit.
Like everyone's been looking at our shit for the last, you know, eight months because we have been the most consistent team.
So, you know, we know other teams are looking at our stuff.
It's just basically a point to make sure we are just always ahead.
Yeah.
Like, you know, just because we won doesn't mean that everything's good and everything and everything's perfect with your game.
Right.
Like, there's still stuff to improve.
And especially, you know, we were, you know, a game seven from losing once again.
So, yeah, true.
There is still stuff to work on.
And I think, like, there was a couple, there was a little bit of criticism from Phases fans last year because they, especially in, like, the process and everything.
Like, you guys studied their game plan very well and they changed nothing.
And then, you know, you're able to counter them very, very well.
So you know people are going to try to do that to you guys this year.
So is there, is there like a change?
of game plan that goes into champs or is it just like like situation i mean maybe i think it's more
so you just got to be introspective in how you look like you not only are you looking at other stuff
like you got to look at what you're doing and be like okay if i was playing against me like what the
fuck would i do you know like what how would i play against this you know um but being you know
having having that extra variable is important and not just playing you know super straight up i think
that's mainly for like like search obviously respawn is kind of
just like yeah you kind of just need to execute yeah and we are pretty good at executing there's
still obviously stuff that we need to work on respawn wise but um yeah i think there there's just
like some few tweaks but again that's what these last few weeks are for yeah i think they um
people obviously are our guys winning winning back to back especially you know brandon and
shotsy is is unbelievable you know the coaching staff winning back to back unbelievable but to do it
with the same roster?
Yeah.
That would be...
I don't want to say
would cement us
is like the best rock.
Like,
yeah.
Back-to-back champs
with the same roster
is fucking insane to think about.
And that's basically been on my mind
since day one.
Like all I've wanted to do
since day one of this season
has been like three Pete.
Yeah.
Or like back to back with this roster.
So like obviously we wanted to be dominant.
We want to win all the events.
But for me I was like,
all that matters is this is the three P for me.
Like I just want to.
to be really fucking good
and win champs.
And if that means
with all the wins
before that, sure.
But, you know, this is what
you know, we're working on
day and day out.
That's basically been on our mind
since day one.
Like the whole team is just like,
we want to be the first team to do that.
So how much time do you guys
take after this win
before it's go time?
Oh, I mean, we're starting back up tomorrow.
I mean, it's hard because it would be different if it was like champs in like a month.
Right, of course.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
But champs in two weeks, you kind of have to just go straight in.
Yeah.
I think we'll take like maybe July 4th off or something.
But yeah.
Yeah, it's just, it's basically just go time.
Like you just got to, you know, suck it up for two weeks and.
Of course.
And just grind with it.
Yeah, it's time to go.
Man, I'm fucking excited.
I'm excited.
Vegas.
There's only been one champs in Vegas so far, right?
I think the World War for...
Mono War for 22.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That'll be interesting.
I like a little bit of Vegas.
I think I am going.
I think I'm helping doing the tush takeover.
The tush takeover?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Finally got to win with him on the team.
Yeah.
Right.
He was bad luck, good luck.
Who knows?
Man, that's so...
That's fucking exciting, man.
What a year.
What a year for Cod?
What a year for Cod?
Very good.
Have you seen anything about Monofer Cod?
for four yet or no i just saw like one of those uh what the equivalent of like e3 trailer
i haven't really paid attention too much i'm sure that doesn't enter you guys's mind for
yeah for a bit what what has been your favorite title to coach just as far as the gameplay is
concerned um i thought mw3 was really cool yeah i thought mdb3 search was like i think all the search
maps were like fun as like fun as fuck to like watch or or play um
Yeah, I think MW3 guaranteed.
This one was also really good too, but I think Mdv3 takes the kick.
I just like the, I like the meta, I like the maps towards the end of the year.
I liked everything kind of about it.
I think if Motto for 3, like, there's always little things in Cod that like every game tries to implement.
And then when you go back, you're like, oh my God, I forgot that was in.
Yeah.
The only thing about Mono for 3 is like when you slide, the gun went to the side.
It's like, I wish that didn't happen.
Yeah.
I didn't really like the gun going to the side.
I like the split of like the MCW rival.
Yeah.
Like right now, I do think the MPC is like still just broken.
But, you know, that's just what we're playing with.
So you're just kind of have to adapt.
I like, I think the rival MCW meta was like probably the best meta we had in CDL.
Yeah.
I would like, yeah, it's definitely up there.
I would say so.
I mean, say what you want about Sledgehammer and Infinity Award, but the gunplay is just they, there's something about the gun.
Yeah.
Like, I still like the MP5.
M4 from 2019.
You know, obviously the game was atrocious at a competitive setting, but the gunplay was fun.
Yeah.
I like the gunplay.
I thought that shit was fun.

So you lost your voice going to the World Cup?
Bro.
So I was a, I got super.
lucky. So my friend that I grew up with, he works at Visa in New York, and he won, or he was able to
enter a raffle into one of the main stadiums, I guess, from the domestic U.S. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So because he's in New York, he was like, okay, everyone's going to be going for MetLife,
so, you know, can I stay with you in Dallas and we can go? I'm like, fuck yeah, if you win,
you're staying with me and we're going to the game. So he ended up winning, all I had to do is pay the base
$400
got into the game
and we went to the
Norway
Jesus
my voice
literally still
still gone
because we went
to the game
the Norway
Ivory Coast one
and then we were like
having a good time
drinking in Texas
live we watched the
France game
and then also
the Mexico
Ecuador game
oh yeah
dude
so I was there for like
10 hours
yeah I was going to
you were grinding
yesterday
and uh yeah
talking over a full on
insane Texas live bar
have you gone
to the Texas live
during the World Cup
no
I know.
I was thinking about maybe going tonight.
Dude, you should.
I'm not even kidding.
Like the atmosphere,
because it was, dude,
it was like 80% Norway fans,
but then as soon as like,
you know,
six o'clock hit around,
you would see like a surge of,
like, Mexico fans.
So there was like,
then the whole entire Texas live turned green.
It was actually insane,
but it was so fun to see live.
That was my first time going to the Cowboys Stadium.
Oh, really, really?
here and full AC, you're chilling.
You just came back from Paris.
Dude, like, give me the fuck.
Literally, I was like, oh, my God, this is AC in a venue.
Like, what the hell?
What is this?
It was so, by the way, side tension, it was so hot on that stage.
Oh, yeah.
I don't know how you would play.
I was talking to Damon.
I was like, dude, would you play in that?
He's like, fuck no.
He's like, I would be off the fucking, off the rocker if I had to play in this.
Yeah.
We're sweating in the back.
My hair is so greasy.
because I have to just push it back
because it's literally dripping.
But yeah, lost my voice at both Paris and the World Cup.
And, dude, the best part about the World Cup,
I think, for me, like, was experiencing the Norway Row.
The Norwegian Row was so cool to see live, like, after they won.
Yeah, because it was the whole stadium, right?
It was the whole stadium.
Like, I took a video of it, put on my story,
but I was watching it back,
and I'm like, the sound just doesn't do it justice.
The atmosphere and everyone just roo.
Yeah, and then there's like a little bit of an echo.
Yeah, the echo of the stadium, it was so cool.
That shit is crazy.
Rooting for the USA, obviously, to continue, but I'm also rootinging for Norway to...
Yeah, this is the row.
So you're in the stadium here.
Yeah.
Dude, that is so electric.
How it just reverbs, the echo is, it's so sick.
Were you in there just fucking?
Yeah.
I was up like in the third or fourth level.
but everyone was still doing it after the game.
That is so hard.
I got the whole staff there.
We should do something like this in Cod.
Yeah.
Dude, I was saying to my friend
because we were watching this together.
I was like, dude, every team should have something like this.
Yeah, right?
It's just so fun.
Like, I'm going to be like 30 years from now
watching the World Cup and be like,
bro, I remember the No Way Road.
You know what I mean?
I remember being part of it.
Like, it's...
That's so...
Oh, England just took the lead.
Oh, my.
It just came back.
86 minute.
86th minute.
I know,
Harry Kane with two holes.
I know Tru's in there freaking out.
Yeah.
Yeah, I didn't even, I was like,
I woke up this morning and I, you know,
took a shower and I was like,
oh, the game starts at 11.
Yeah.
I'll, you know,
I'll tune on before coming into Flycast.
I turned the game on at 11.05 and they were in Congo would score.
Yeah.
What?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Dude, they almost had, dude,
they could,
Congo could have been up 3-0.
There was like two really crazy chances,
but,
um,
yeah,
so,
so have you always been like a,
a soccer fan or you just
I just love the World Cup or like
my my favorite
years were when I was playing FIFA
yeah when I was a big FIFA
fan between like FIFA 12 to FIFA
15 I remember
dude the amount of
knowledge and information you soak in
from FIFA video games
but FIFA specifically I was like
dude I remember watching the World Cup
in whatever it was 2014 or whatever
and just I knew all the players
I knew like which club they were a part of
and like now I don't really play FIFA as much
so I didn't really know any of the players
other than like obviously the popular ones
right but dude
FIFA would get me into it so much
but I never really
you know after I stopped playing FIFA I didn't really get into it much
but every time there's a big tournament like a
the Euro or like the World Cup I'll watch it
I yeah I like I like international
football or soccer I like international more than I like
club just because just
because in the United States, like, we don't, like, the MLS isn't really that popular here.
The Mexican League isn't really that popular.
And then the time zones for, to try to watch a Premier League game or a league, a league game, like, or.
Yeah.
And if there's any, like, really good American player, they just play in Europe or anything usually anyway.
So I usually just try to keep up with our guy, with the U.S. guys.
So, like, I'll, I'll watch, like, highlight videos from Juventus and A.C.
Milan and, you know, some of the Dutch player, Dutch league stuff.
Did you see the Germany Paraguay game?
Yeah, dude, I think I've watched 85% of the games.
Really?
Okay.
It's like, it's sickening.
That game was crazy.
I'm like, bro, we smoke Paraguay.
I was thinking to myself like, bro, we actually smoke Paraguayette.
What the fuck is, what's going on here?
As I keep watching, I'm like, yo, why not us?
Why not us?
Why not?
Like, I'm not, obviously, I'll never get arrogant about it.
But like, it.
Spain and France
looks stupid
France looks absolutely unreal
France literally like
I was watching the Sweden game
yesterday at the bar
and everyone's just like
bro they're fucking toying with them
like this doesn't even look fair
they literally looked like an organized
actual club team out there
like really
like just
they look so good
they look so good
did you did you see the controversy
with the German PKs
like the penalty kicks
where they were asking for somebody
to take
like the six kick and no one wanted to take it oh yeah dude one of the one of the guys was
like yeah like in front like talking to his team yeah he was kimmich he was like he was like he was like
he was like who wants to take it was and everyone's saying like no and i'm like what the fuck like
top level like it just didn't it even crossed my mind because it felt like that type of mentality
is like bro that would already be weeded out you know that type of like oh i don't i don't
there's so many german soccer players yeah it would it be like dude the way i was thinking of it was like
if I asked Brandon, Mason,
and or Kyler to take a 1 v1,
they'd be like, fuck, yeah,
pull me in that shit.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly.
But that type of,
like, competitor mentality.
And then I was, like, at a top level,
like, football program,
how is that not, like, the mentality?
Like, even just saying no,
like, it should be like,
yeah, fuck, give me that.
Like, it should be a fight for who's gonna take the six one.
Were they actually saying no?
Is that what the, is that what the,
I think that's what it was.
I don't know,
Maddie might be able to look it up,
but I'm pretty sure people were, like,
denying it.
and people were literally roasting them.
They're like...
Because I know they have their first five lineup.
Yeah.
And I think he might have been looking for the six.
For the sixth one.
Yeah.
And he was trying to figure out who was going to take it.
And so it's just a bunch of defenders and the keeper at that point.
I read something that they were, like someone was denying it.
And if that was, if that's true, that's just mind-blowing thing.
Yeah, that's unbelievable.
You feel like that would actually just be able to be able to get to that top level.
Right.
Like you wouldn't even have that mindset anymore, you know?
It doesn't even matter like what position you play.
Yeah.
Like, if you're.
defender just put just kick the ball
into the net like and I know
obviously the pressure is hard but like bro
we're sending it to the moon we're sending
to the status we sent it to the
bro you know you know I'm like I'm like damn
I forgot about that I don't think I could play
anywhere near close obviously
but a PK bro I'm at least hitting the net
you're gonna hit the net you're gonna hit the
frame or the net or the
oh 100%
come we
we lost we lost reception up here
but
yeah dude the world dude the world cup has been so fun it's hard it's funny because that uh dude uh
Seth Seth texted me when Germany lost and he said ha ha ha go eat your sauerkrauts somewhere else
and I haven't talked to so it's such a good set text
that says you pretty funny that doesn't text me too often yeah individually and I'm like
bro out of all but he knows you're watching so he's like I'm watching people to text me about
the world cup this is the most
random text that I've gotten.
Dude, I just like how it brings so many people to get.
Like, the amount of, like, I'm still living downtown,
but the amount of people I see just in random jerseys because they're just tourists.
Yeah.
Going to one of the games.
Like, I saw a bunch of people with England jerseys when they were here,
Japanese, Netherlands.
Bro, it was, it was so cool to see them, like, you know, we were talking to these
Norwegian fans at the bar yesterday.
They were basically like, yeah, we're just staying the entire time until, like,
we can, like, we're literally, we've been here for three.
I was wondering how that happens.
And I was like, damn, you literally just picked up, I guess.
But the thing is, they probably just been literally scheduling this out for years.
Yeah.
Yeah, there are people.
And it's just like, if they just keep making it like progressing forward, like, they just keep staying longer.
What do they do for work?
Yeah, that's what I was like.
I was like, oh, you can just do that.
I see that.
I see that with a bunch of different teams.
Like there's just people that are like, yeah, I'm, I'm here.
I'm from Japan.
And I will be here until we lose.
Literally, they just have a traveling fan base of like, okay, we're just going to keep going to the games.
Did you hear how loud the Mexico game was yesterday?
Did you see the parade after?
Yes.
Dude, what?
I was like, damn, this makes the Knicks parade that I was looking at.
Like a baby parade.
I don't know.
I love, obviously I love the sports in America and I love our sports culture, but the passion that other countries have, especially for soccer.
Like it's unbelievable.
I don't know how.
One of the best sporting event I've ever been to was like it was a nation's league semi-final game, the U.S. versus Mexico.
And it was in Vegas.
For some reason we were in Vegas, it might have been for a Cod event.
It was for something.
But I was at the event with, it was me and Alexis and were you there, Matt?
No.
I don't think so.
Roger was there and Tush was there.
and maybe it was like Shawston or something.
But so we were there for something optic related.
And, uh,
and,
you know,
it's in United States.
We're in a semi-final match.
And,
and so I'm there in my U.S.
jersey and too,
she's like,
I want to go to a soccer game.
Like,
he doesn't really go to soccer games.
Yeah.
I was like,
yeah,
wear something in the United States.
Bro.
I would say 88% of the,
of the entire,
and this is where the fucking Raiders play.
Like,
yeah.
88.
of the stadium completely full
all Mexico
all Mexicans it was
unbelievable we were in the stadium yesterday
it was Norway versus Ivory Coast
and I want to say like 10%
like we're just green jersey
and I'm like you guys play later tonight
in Mexico like but they were just
just fans that had tickets to the game and
yeah they want to play they just wanted to support
all of the matches that have been
in in
Azteco or Monterey or
I can't remember
I can't remember where the last one is.
But there's three stadiums in Mexico.
Every single game, it'll be like Japan versus the Ivory Coast.
And then there will be a ton of Mexican fans there.
They just like, they love going to the games.
Did you see the photo of the Monterey Stadium of how like it looks in the background?
Like the big ass mountain in the background?
Oh, yeah.
Dude, I've seen it before.
Bro, it looks insane.
Like for an actual environment around the stadium and you just see like you look at
up and you just see a big, big-ass mountain like that.
That is...
Dude, I saw this photo.
I was like, whoa, that's a sick...
That's a sick view.
That is unbelievable.
I think it was Monterey that...
It's the first time a World Cup match has ever been played there.
Oh, right?
Or is the first time Mexico had ever played there.
It was something like that.
Okay.
And it was like a really big...
Wait, is that picture real?
Go back...
is the one, yeah, this one.
Yeah, that's real.
That's real.
That's insane.
You know what I mean?
Yeah, that's just crazy.
I wonder what the, what's the,
it's such a beautiful view, wow.
What stadium has the best view in the world?
It's got to be up there, right?
It has to be up there.
I don't even know what the best one would be in the United States.
Like, yeah.
Because we, I would say the, the coolest one is the,
our coolest stadium in the states is that,
fucking L.A. one.
Oh, SoFi.
Yeah, SoFi.
SoFi looks insane.
It looks like an alien ship.
It actually actually does.
When people were talking shit about, they're like, you know, America has no culture.
There's no vibe.
I'm like, yeah, go to fucking Sofi.
And you tell me there's no vibe in that fucking massive place.
Just unbelievable.
But, um, but yeah, I think, I think one of these stadiums like, they're, like, I think
Mexico, it's like Mexico had never played there ever.
Yeah.
And so the town just like shut down.
Like it's like completely shut down.
Like this is our first time.
This is our first time playing like I don't know.
I think the U.S.
or I guess I should say North America is just doing a really good job with like the work like bro.
Yeah, I think so too.
I think the different cities and we have the infrastructure for it with all the stadiums.
Yeah.
I was, bro, I was talking to somebody else yesterday and I was like, imagine if they did a college football stadium.
Like how many more people?
Oh, dude.
Like if you did it like the, what is it?
The Michigan Stadium is like 100K.
Penn State Stadium.
Dude.
Because I think the World Cup final in 94 was at the Rose Bowl.
Oh, really?
Yeah.
And there's like 100, it was like 100,000 people that can sit there.
Which is so stupid.
Yeah.
So stupid.
Like, yeah.
It is wild that college football stadiums are like the biggest stadiums that we have.
Just just unboath.
Do you watch college football as well or no?
I like watch it, but I'm not, I don't, you know, watch it.
You know what I'm saying?
I get what you say.
So, yeah, maybe we got to go to Texas Live tonight.
That might be what we have to do.
Texas Live is a vibe.
Yeah, might have to be going to Texas Live.
Me, you, Matt Craig.
I don't know if I could do back-to-back days.
I was pretty one-shot.
Yeah, no, back to back to back.
You start up work tomorrow, man.
You got one more day of relaxing.
Relaxing at Texas Live.
Yeah.
You're about to go home and go to bed.
Dude.
After, also, by the way, didn't sleep on the player
flight back.
I can't sleep on planes.
You can't sleep on planes.
I just can't sleep straighting up.
Unless I'm like in first class on a bed or something.
Yeah.
I just have the fakeest sleep ever.
It's like, you know, 20 minutes here and there.
Yeah.
On our trip to Australia when we went to, we went to, we got invited to one of those events with the dynasty team.
I can't remember the name of it, but it was like, we just played a bunch of Australian teams.
It was in Melbourne.
Oh, the Melbourne.
Yeah, Melbourne.
Melbourne.
So they, we, we flew out like premium economy on the way there.
So we had like the running seats and such a, such a beautiful flight.
I slept for like eight hours on the flight.
I think it was like an 11 hour flight or some fucking, something insane.
And I slept for like, maybe it was like five hours and there was an eight hour flight.
But I slept for a long time and I woke up and I was like, yo, I feel like good.
Like let's go, let's go to Melbourne, you know, Explore City.
And then on the way back, I sat middle seat and economy.
And it was so bad.
I'm sitting like this between two guys for like eight hours.
I don't know how you could do that.
It was bad.
Middle seat for a flight from Australia to whatever U.S.?
It was bad.
It was bad.
It was bad.
And, you know, that was before.
I think nowadays, Hector would have got me.
But those were back in, we were still, you know, we were still slumming it.
We were still slumming it up at the sky.
off house
but it was
it was good
how do you like
the how do you like
Tanner how are you guys
oh Tanner's dope
how are you guys
getting in in
getting along with Tanner
Tanner's dope
we uh me him and Brandon
always talk about hockey
because he's a big hockey
Oh is he okay okay
but uh he's sick
and I think he's been doing a really good job
with the like the process videos
the ones that have been released so far
have been like really really good in my opinion
yeah yeah but I can't wait for the next one
next one might be
bangor
True.
Is that what he did?
I didn't see it past by.
I guess.
No, he was probably so hype for that.
Bro, he was almost losing the
Deer Congo to...
He was tweaking when I came in this morning.
I came in and I was like,
bro, what's going on?
He was like, I don't know, mate.
I don't know.
That's my British accent.
I'm not very good at it, but...
All right, man.
Well, everybody's wondering
or everybody's root...
You know, everybody's rooting for you guys.
They got your backs.
We're going to, we're going to Vegas pretty soon.
And then back to Saudi, huh?
Another bigger.
Back to Paris.
Oh, is it back in Paris this year?
Oh, it's not in Saudi this year.
Not Saudi.
Oh, so you got to do the Paris flight again.
Yeah.
And dealing with no AC again.
That's okay.
Here, I'll say this.
Okay, okay.
Love the venue.
Love the fans.
Like, it's 2026, guys.
Like, let's get with the time.
Yeah, right.
Like, what are we just going to spend every July?
from here on out, just no EC.
Just no, like...
Bro, it's about to be hotter at EWC.
Oh, don't tell me that.
Right?
You would think so.
Or is it going to be...
No?
I don't know.
Let's see what Paris...
And it sounds like bitch-made
and I hate it
because it does sound bitch-made for us,
but like,
why are we not making our lives easier?
At least some ceiling fans
in the restaurants or something.
Dude, last time I was in Paris,
I shared a room with Pomage.
And it was so...
damn hot in our room that we
close the doors and opened
the fridge. Like just hoping
that maybe it would
get one degree cooler. Just
had the fridge open.
Sleeping the cold you can deal with, sleeping
in the heat, it's, I hate it's
chalked. Like it's literally
chalked from the get-go.
And I was here working
like the day you guys landed.
And for some reason I was here
at like 6 a.m. like
I was looking up early and I was just like, I need to get out of the house.
and as I'm working,
I have like the music playing
because nobody's in here
and I hear the code being put in
and I'm like, who the fuck is coming in at
it was like 5.30 a.m.
And so I'm trying to make a lot of noise
so that they know that somebody else is here.
I'm like,
and then Bruce comes around the corner
and goes, Davis, what are you doing here?
I was like, bro, what are you doing here?
That's not a one guy.
But he was coming to pick up.
something up and we
ended up just talking about the event
and he was like bro I can't lie
to you
he was like it was so
hot in that venue and it
fucking reeked
dude
that's so funny
but like that's what you're gonna get if it's so hot
bro everyone's gonna be sweating
there's what 20k
people there like
and they're all jumping up and down
I was like how are the PC's not overheating
Like, what don't, like, we're in the back, like,
bro, at our major, at our major this year,
uh, the, the champs venue, the AC, I think broke.
They're in the, in the ballroom.
Oh, really?
The champ, the, the, sorry, the challengers.
Oh, the challengers event.
Uh, I think the AC broke in the ballroom.
Wait, sweetie, were you playing in that?
Were you playing at, uh, the challenge, the challenges event?
What?
No, at our major.
Major 1.
Was the venue crazy hot?
Dude, I looked at the, I looked at the thermostat.
It said 87.
Oh, no.
Like, literally pushing 90.
That's crazy.
And, like, we were, I was walking on the way there and people kept saying like,
yo, if you go in there, just know, it's hot.
I'm like, if everyone's saying that, what the hell is it going to do?
And then you got the pyro.
And I'm, dude, I'm on stage feeling it.
Like, when I mean, Damon are up on stage,
whoa not only is it insanely hot
bro we're getting torched
it's like literally a torch
oh man
how'd you like the walk out
the like the elevator thing
bro what what do we do
bro I was I was fucking
I was like yo you better not trip there
I was like yo the steps are a little narrow
just so much aura is on the line right now
so much aura I can't watch events
like that and not my initial thought
can never be anything
other than how much fucking money
did they spend on this shit?
That's all I can fucking think about.
I can't.
And that's for everything too.
If I go to a concert, I'm looking around like,
dude, I cost like.
I have so much issue.
There's so many issues.
But congratulations again, man.
And best of luck going into champs.
We're all room for you.
And don't gamble too much while we're in.
I might be done with gambling, dude.
I have not gone up at a,
casino in my life. I mean, I haven't really gone to
many, like probably, I would say like
10 times maybe. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
It's been a lot. Never gone up. I was
and I'm just like, at this point, what am I doing?
I had a few good times
but I haven't, I haven't
cast a little slip in a long
time. It's been a long time.
Wait, well, last day, dude, did you see the
dude, by the way, World Cup
Twitter memes? Oh, they're so good.
Fucking hilarious.
They're so good. Did you see the Paraguay guy?
The like, the calma, comma, guy?
No, no, no, no, no.
Okay, you're going to have to look at it because I clicked on one once, and now my 4U page is like, every other one is another version of it.
It's another meme.
Yeah.
Dude, there's one.
I love how the Twitter memes are like worldwide, too.
Like, because on Twitter now, like, now the translate automatically translates.
So, like, you're only seeing, and it'll say like translated from Portuguese or translated from Spanish.
Did you see the one that said, oh, no, gray card again?
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
With the mini, like, chihuahua.
A little chihuahua.
I was like, this might be the best soccer tweet of all the time.
Little chihuahua.
This is the guy.
Oh, okay, what is this?
He's just like, the calma, calma.
Dude.
Bro, I remember I saw one tweet.
It was like, it's like when a.
Can you look up the gray card again?
When you bet on both teams to score and the bad team scores first.
He's just like, yo, hey.
The bad team scores first
Yeah, dude, just the
The amount of impressions
That this world cup has like
Did you see the one where it was like the Ronaldo
Homelander meme after after like
Oh wait, look yeah, the original
Oh yeah, this is the under great cardic
46.7 million
46.7 million views
And you just hear his like the voice that you made for him
You know, like, how he's saying it is so good.
That is just unbelievable.
But it was, it was like a homelander meet with Ronaldo, and it was like, Bruno, you're
going to pass to me, right?
There's something like that.
Because this is after, like, Messi got the hat trick and Boppe also got his.
Yeah, Harry Kane got two and Boppe got two.
And Bessie got a hat trick.
Yeah.
It'll be interesting to see how Portugal ends up.
We'll see.
Okay, so we got some, we got some voicemails that have come in.
Nick
The title of this one
absolutely is
fucking with my head
right now.
We got some
we got some voicemails
coming in.
Nick tweeted out
to send some
voicemails in
for J.P.
Krez and then he
completely bailed
on coming in
in the first place.
So we're going to
we're going to do it
ourselves.
This one is called
major package.
So who knows
what this is about?
Let's see.
Hey, GP.
a hitch and maniac
I'm in my worst restaurant
I make this quick
but
JP
how do you deal with the pressure
and all the eyes
from being the most handsome
man on optic
all right
that's a
appreciate the compliment
not the most handsome guy
in optic
I'll take it
dude that's dude
because that is the
double entangra of the major package
major package
Like what what are we talking about here?
Is it talking about the the trophy that I had to travel with?
Or like what are we doing?
What are we talking about?
I appreciate it.
We'll talk about that in the Patreon episode, you know.
All right, we got Big Daddy Zach.
Yo, fellas, what's good?
Me and my duo are going to our first e-sports event, that being Cod champs.
Do you guys have any advice?
Also, I would like some advice how to get into the optic apps.
after party.
First of all,
I didn't even know
we were having
an optic after
party.
If you want to
know exactly how to
get into the optic
after party,
you hit up
Emac Craig on Twitter.
Everyone go to
Emat Craig on Twitter.
He will tell you
exactly how to get
into the after party.
My advice,
first event,
bring deodorant.
Bring deodorant.
And dude,
just have fun.
Yeah.
Like, please,
like, don't be a stranger.
If you see,
like,
pros that you want to get
like autograph to,
like,
dude,
I don't think any pros,
if you're ever
like,
respectful. No pro has turned down anyone
for like a pick or something. Unless they're like in a rush or something about to play.
But everyone's super like super nice there. Just meet some new people.
You know, just have fun with it. Like you're going to you're going to get a lot of people.
Everyone's watching the same thing. They're all there for the same reason.
Yeah. I think people that go to events or people that don't go to events and they only watch online.
There's like this there's this weird. They have this like weird view of what people
at events are kind of like because
everyone's online is
infinitely more negative than it is
in person like in person
everyone is very nice you know
you got a few assholes
every once in a while but everyone
everyone is very nice all the fans are nice
like on Twitter you're going to see people
not be bro everyone's nice in real
yeah exactly no one's going to be or I would hope so
all the fans of all the fans of the
different teams are all friends
like it's a it's a great atmosphere
like we've had a couple people
and like meeting greets be like oh i'm sorry i'm wearing a phase jersey it's like dude like yeah we know
you're a fan like just come over here like they'll sign this yeah exactly exactly exactly how it goes
that's how it goes all right next up uh but definitely bring deodorate definitely please hey jp
kinder season here just wishing you a massive w got on your on your victory thank you appreciate
at major four uh wishing you guys nothing but the best for the remainder of the season um
and I hope you guys can can bring it home to the green wall
and just have an amazing day.
And I knew what, you know what?
I got one small question.
What led to Merck Park 30 pulling out that MPC a lot more?
He seems significantly more comfortable with it.
Now, maybe he was always comfortable with it,
but I know that Karma was talking about on one of the podcasts
saying that he was trying to get Dashie and Mason to pull that out
a lot more because a lot of the times you guys would lose a map or something like that it's because
the other team would be flying at you guys and doing the whole pre-ame um kind of led to
disadvantages yeah so i'm just curious what led to murk embracing this the switch i guess i think he
i mean i would say it was a focus for us to like get them to start using it because you know it
we realize it's the broken gun like people are using three people are using four right um i think
just the comfortability with him it finally got comfortable with him i think he also
he switched back to the
Walmart
like the default controller
so I know he was on a
he was on like a default Marius
okay and this just goes to show like
bro you can use whatever
you know controller you want
you can use whatever controller you want
whatever is more comfortable for you
and what you think is like the best
like in your opinion
um
so he switched back to like a game
to stop like literally out the
door dash it from Tarrague.
or something, you know?
Wow.
So, you know, that just goes to show, like, play whatever you're comfortable.
Sense-wise, controller-wise, whatever.
Just because it's, you know, has an insane name or has X input delay, whatever.
But yeah, I think that obviously helped him out a little bit, getting back to that, you know, what he was originally ripping on.
Yeah, yeah.
But also just getting more comfortable with, you know, the MPC for him.
The MPC is just realizing the situations to be using it in.
You want one more?
Or one more or a few more?
Yo, maniac and hitch.
Shout out J.P.
This is a question for a maniac.
Wait, let me answer it.
I'll answer it.
Yo, maniac and hitch.
I'll answer it.
Shout out J.P.
This is a question for a maniac.
Do you slap your own ass during sex?
What do you think?
Well, how did you answer that?
I thought I was,
I don't think Nick slaps his own ass during sex.
No, I don't think so.
I don't think so.
I think Nick is scared of sex from what I've heard.
All right, next up, Kilo.
Yo.
Yo.
Besides being the goat coach slash analysts,
how, I think we would like to know,
how did you get to be there?
Where did you start?
Where did the interests even come from?
to want to do what you do now.
Got to watch Around the Bar.
I was going to say shout out around the bar.
I think that's probably the best,
literally the best source to like figure out my,
my little story.
But short stories is basically working with MLG on the back end,
production-wise, doing stat stuff and doing some like codstatt stuff since Ghosts.
And once CDL came along, basically got an opportunity to work for the team or with
the team.
and from there
rest is history
rest is history
yo um
love the flycast
a listen to you all every day
for my work commute
um
quick questions for jp crez
is i know that you guys
have all these AI models
um
weave into your gameplay
whatever it's in response systems
or whatever that is
I wonder if you guys have that
or for
well predictions
for
the opposite teams.
If you do, no need to say, because, you know,
Greenwald for life, I want y'all to win everything.
So no need to, no need to leak the sauce, but just a
thought.
Yeah, I mean, no leak in sauce, but
this year specifically I've delved into a lot more
doing, like, player tracking type stuff.
But, yeah, it's hard, you know,
predictions-wise and stuff like that, because,
you just don't have enough data
of like real match data for each team
but you can do
you can do things like
based on everyone's positioning
on the map not necessarily like
phases or thieveses or whatever
but you could be like
you know where this person spawned so it's like
on a base level
you could be like okay
let's understand the spawn system
if you ever wanted to understand the spawn system
you could do that with just
figuring out a bunch of
or like going through a bunch of videos
and processing in them and just being like, okay,
whenever X, Y, and Z are here,
you know, this is where that person would,
the next person would spawn or whatever.
So you can get stuff into that.
It's harder when you're doing like team by team
or like, I don't want to say like predicting player movements
because it's all very situational.
But, you know, you have tendencies and other players have tendencies
and you can look at that in a specific way.
And you're still, are you still super in the weeds with,
chat GPT and and yeah i was doing a lot of clod stuff in the middle of the season but
it was kind of like taking away from some of my time doing other stuff with the team so i'm
going to go back in the off season and do a lot of stuff with that but right now it's all the
stuff i'm not trying to like develop new stuff i'm just trying to like we're just focusing on
yeah the rest of the stuff that we already have all right man well thank you so much for uh for
you guys sending in your voicemails.
Hopefully, uh, the advice was coming in strong from a man, JP.
Uh, that is going to do it for this episode of the Flycast.
Definitely go watch champs and, uh, Root JP and the rest of the boys on and they appreciate it.
Thanks for having me on.
Yeah.
Matt Craig.
Play that outro music.
Play it.
