Starting point is 00:00:00 So you're in this race. Yeah. Is that you in the green car? Yes. You want to guess my speed right there. One. Is there a full clip besides just a... Yeah, there should be a full, yep.
Starting point is 00:00:12 Oh, this is it. Yeah, you're going 140. The exact miles an hour is 145. Oh my God. Now, how did that not fucking destroy him? It kind of did. Like, it fucked him up? Like, he got really injured?
Starting point is 00:00:27 Yeah. It kind of did. He had to get airlifted out. Wow. Welcome back to the episode of the podcast episode. Who gives a fudge? We don't. We're not cussing anymore.
Starting point is 00:00:55 It says 204 on this screen. Oh. Oh, so what did we say? We said who gives a fudge. But I was telling Ian we don't cuss anymore. You guys don't cuss anymore? Nope. So you can't either.
Starting point is 00:01:06 You can't cuss. That's going to be different. Do you think that would be difficult? Yes. For you to not cuss? For an entire podcast? Yeah. How long are these?
Starting point is 00:01:18 An hour. All right. Yeah, that's mission. That's all right. We'll just go back to cuss in this one. Okay. Yeah, we'll just cuss for this, for this specific episode. So before, not to start on a low note, but before we sat down and came in here,
Starting point is 00:01:33 immediately had something to say about yesterday because you're also playing again today. Are you more excited? So yesterday was the modern. Warfare 3. Yep. Today is... What's the game? Modern Warfare 19.
Starting point is 00:01:47 I love this game. But it's the dynasty versus our current Call of Duty player. So are you more excited for today than yesterday? Hell yeah. Were you excited for yesterday?
Starting point is 00:01:58 No. You just knew it was going to be bad. I knew it was going to be bad. I didn't play that game. My only hope was to get carried. That was my only hope. I thought that might have happened. So hence, that's why I came in yesterday.
Starting point is 00:02:12 What did I say? I can't remember. I was like, yo, I've never played this game. I haven't touched the controller. Like, Zinn, Seth, you guys should pick me last. What do you know? I didn't go last. I should have went last.
Starting point is 00:02:25 If you went last, that means the teams would have been me, Ken, Seth, and Matt. I actually. We still would have lost. We still want a lost. I don't know. But I would have won. But I would have won. You would have won.
Starting point is 00:02:39 I would have won. another chip no it was the it's the it was the vibes dude having attached on the team attaching zen they were taking it serious and the vibes were up the listen ins compared to both teams
Starting point is 00:02:54 I mean it's kind of what happens I mean we couldn't see half the fucking time yeah it didn't look like fun the shooting aspect of the game looks seen fun did you guys hear what Kenny said no he walked out he's like walking out and like we're all down in the dump
Starting point is 00:03:12 so he's like walking out with like his head down and he's like man you guys ruined my favorite game he's like that was my favorite game and I think it's not anymore Seth said the same thing yeah yeah Seth said in the optic chat
Starting point is 00:03:28 that when he looks back at MW3 he remembers it as a great game and last last night just ruined it completely for him he no longer looks at Modern Warfare 3 like it was a good game. You did this, Davis. Can you look up EGL8, EGL8 Dome?
Starting point is 00:03:45 And I just want to see if the stuns were as bad back then as you guys made it seem yesterday. But knowing the stunts are annoying, does that add extra pressure to just like, like, you know, someone's probably not there anyways, but like, or if you stun someone, you just want to stun them again. Like, is it in your head knowing you hit someone with a stun that I want to stun him again just because I know it pisses them off? I only have reps on three games. I'm pretty sure that's what they're doing. That was their strat. That was their show.
Starting point is 00:04:11 I only have, I only have reps on three games ever. And those, that is motto for two, model for three and Black Ops two. And in Mono for two, monitor for three, you spawn up and you double stun and you need on in,
Starting point is 00:04:24 see, look, we've been watching, we've been watching EGL8 for three seconds. But wait, wait, but how can he can see? What do you mean?
Starting point is 00:04:32 How can he see? When I got stunned, I couldn't see. I think, I think it's like based off of how close you get, like if the stunn hits your feet. Well, I know that, but. Okay, this is search and destroy, so it's, it's a little,
Starting point is 00:04:43 there's a, there's a dome CTF on EGL8. Who was the best MW3 player? Seth. Because I saw some of his POV. I think it was like Map 1. He got like a three piece or something. I was like, oh, this is going to be GGs. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:57 That's about the dominate. Yeah, no, I, I, but you, I may or may not have rewatched the broadcast. And I saw what chat was saying when I was standing there. in my goofy little outfit. They're like, how is this even fair? This is going to be a quick one. I was like, I kind of thought the same thing.
Starting point is 00:05:14 I mean, yeah, you would be dumb not too. You thought wrong. Any other game. Everyone thought that, but Kramm. Any other game, and those are the teams, besides Motto for 2, I think I stand a chance of Mono for 2 as well, any other game that we get demolished, I think. Probably, probably.
Starting point is 00:05:33 Like, like, decimated. Did you have that feeling of like we're going to get demolished or was it just like No we should be good as long as did your teammates let you down is what I'm trying I'm not me and Matt and myself have never played that game like literally I've never played a pub So like this map I was spawning in I'm like what where do I go right hard hat I'm like the only map I knew was terminal Yeah so look this is EGLA this is actual competitive gameplay and we've been watching for I don't know 10 seconds my My point of view is way worse than this ship. It was actually worse than this.
Starting point is 00:06:11 Double stun, Nate. See, okay, wait, go back, go back. See, what would have happened to me yesterday, right? One stun, two stuns. And Nate kills me. The Nate would have killed you. Yeah. That was my point of view yesterday.
Starting point is 00:06:26 The spons were just so, I consider them good in this game because they were so predictable. Like, if you, there's no one, No one ever spawned out. Like you very, very rarely like spawned out. Bro, I got so mad at this. I was talking about this earlier. That's the clip.
Starting point is 00:06:43 This is the clip. Bro, look at the kill feed. Start it over. So obviously the clip is Ian raging. I shit on formal, shit on Kenny, grab the flag and then... And I'm sitting there. Watch grim.
Starting point is 00:06:59 Watch Graham. Watch Jim. Jumped South and kill Seth. It was like my best three piece ever. And then I was like, God, I hope that's all. broadcast and what's on broadcast is you raging switch to crim switch to crim it's just flash flash and i was like fuck my bad bro no you're good you're good that was a way better clip hey don't worry on the one three piece i got it wasn't on broadcast either so yeah it is i mean it is what it is i knew i knew hitch was heating up so i had to take away your shine probably you and pan pan pam was hate watching
Starting point is 00:07:30 I hate washing. So you told me yesterday that you haven't won one of these. No. But I can't be true. But the only one I've won in three years, I think, was us versus the current cod roster. When y'all five-oed them on Blockups 2? Yeah. That was it.
Starting point is 00:07:49 You didn't win the ghost one? Bro, the more terrifying statistic, I wouldn't. Actually, no, I think we won the ghost one, too. but like my recent map count in the last two years like I've won three maps won three maps like I just I just had to talk to Shea and I was like dude you got to stop pitching like stream hours for these legacy weeks because it's yeah it's either me don't invite me or or change the stream hours because they might go quick yeah we were talking about it today like if if this is another 5-0 that's another two-hour legacy match stream
Starting point is 00:08:24 and they should be going the pitch is like from two to five hours. So like two to five hours. I thought it was just six to nine. So like honestly. Six to ten. So four hours. Six to ten is what's on the call.
Starting point is 00:08:36 Watch me get a text from page saying like, Hey, and I thought it was on the call. Hey, you got to, you got a stream for six hours and, and do a cash app stream because you fucking suck.
Starting point is 00:08:48 I mean, this today could be another, another quick one. I think, I think y'all figure it out. Y'all all played this game. I think no matter what happens, I'm not going to get as mad as yesterday.
Starting point is 00:08:58 There's no possible way I could get as mad as yesterday. But think about a Romaza domination. I'd rather, I'd rather play that shit. I'd rather spawn out, have zero spawns the whole time than not be able to see my screen. Dude,
Starting point is 00:09:12 we're in a dark room sort of. And my pupils were dilated by how many times I was getting flashbang. And then all I hear is, it's cream, is cream, go stun him. I do you think any of that was ever said?
Starting point is 00:09:25 No, that is all in his head. My dad said that. The screechy stunts just... Oh, I hear he stunning. And then I hear it, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, boom. Dead. Yeah. We got to play Mono for two next year, though.
Starting point is 00:09:41 And I better be in that one. I better be in that one. When can I fucking play? You played last year. I was on the desk, and they were just telling me to shut up and do listen-ins. That was the first time I'd ever played. We've been doing this for five years. Yesterday was the first time I ever played.
Starting point is 00:09:56 Oh, that's why you brought that outfit. Yeah, you're king host. That's why I brought the outfit. Yeah, I got to try something. Try something to make some content. See, but the thing is, like, even for today's, it's like, should give y'all a chance. But I just think about, like, these guys, they play every single thing. There's something that happens to your hands when you don't play for.
Starting point is 00:10:14 That's what I was saying. And I agree with you. Like, when you don't touch a controller and, like, move and get that feeling back and just, like, sit there and stare at a monitor, like, you lose something. Like, it takes a little bit. to get that back. That is exactly what I've been experiencing, right? My brain knows what to do. I know where to, like, center. I know where to, how to move. Yeah. What angles to hold, right? And my just, my fingers are not doing it. And, dude, like, I'll have moments. It's probably the weirdest point of view because all, like, I might get like a two piece, a nasty two piece or
Starting point is 00:10:49 or turn their mic like this to the top part down. A nasty, like, two piece or three piece. And then all of a sudden, I'm throwing at Semtex and it's hitting the wall and blowing me up. Or I might like get to, you know, grab the flag and accidentally bounce a stun off the wall and stun myself and kill me. I was like, dude, the first Matt was like Dome, CTF. And I was like, as long as I don't start bad, I should be all right. Because then the nerves don't hit. Dude, I literally spawned up through. You have to throw these nades through the window.
Starting point is 00:11:25 but I threw a stun It went through the window I threw a stun It hit the barrier Like you know there's like windows And there's like a window pane It hit the window pane Came down stunned me
Starting point is 00:11:35 And Bose And I was like Oh fuck And then I spawned out And when you spawned out There's like a little cheese In Monofer 3 where you turn around
Starting point is 00:11:45 And you need the spawn So that it forces Your teammate to spawn Elsewhere So I turned around I threw a Simtex at the wall as I throw it, Bose spawns, I stick him. That's how it started.
Starting point is 00:11:59 I was 0 and 5. Stunned me and Bose and then stuck me in Bose. And I was like, uh-oh. Oikos Pro helps build strong muscles and support muscle recovery with high protein and contains no added sugar.
Starting point is 00:12:25 because true strength isn't about being able to take the hits. It's about being able to bounce back. Oikos Pro. Feed your strength. Visit oikos.ca for more details. Those for the series. I like how the play of the game was your stun Semtex in the last moments when you got like the two piece on the informal.
Starting point is 00:12:47 Dude, I was, I'm not going to lie, I was chalked in that moment. The series was over in my eyes, right? I literally threw a nade on like, for the rotations. I hear the stick. It's like, and I was like, I got to kill at least one.
Starting point is 00:13:00 At least one kill. And this was while they were running the flag, while the game is tied. And Davis says one stun and a SMTax. It gets a two piece. The maps over. We lost. Oh, so hype.
Starting point is 00:13:13 Do these moments, especially like the lights, the way it's set up compared to previous years is fucking sick. It almost seems like you're actually at a, oh, it looks so cool. Maybe not a no. You're at some kind of event. Yeah. Does it ever give you a feeling of like, damn, I kind of miss this feeling?
Starting point is 00:13:28 I know it's not the same at all. You know what you're walking to do. You know, it's going to be out of work right there. You haven't touched the control. I've never got my ass beat this hard on a main stage before. So no, not really. But does it? It's not really relatable.
Starting point is 00:13:39 Before, when you walk in, is it like, damn, this used to be my life. Like, I kind of, I kind of miss it. Walking in with a team. Because not everybody. There's some camaraderie. You have a very unique career. You're considered the best player. of all time and you started racing immediately.
Starting point is 00:13:58 Yeah. Did you ever, I don't know if I ever asked you this. Did you ever have a chance to like, like mourn it? Yeah. You did? Yeah. Yeah, when I was playing fucking war zone, dude. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:12 I was just like, I was just like, like I retired and started playing competitive war zone. Me and I was actually playing with a blast. Yeah. Competitive? Like you're actually trying? We were actually fucking good. Like I'm talking.
Starting point is 00:14:25 We are better than everybody except Hizoka and Shifty. Really? And then we played them and I was like, I'm like, you're going to receive, they're kind of next level. Like, I'm not used to getting second, but like I can foresee us getting second a lot. Yeah, but that would be fine. Yeah, but I don't know. Does maniac to crimsick. Second's cool.
Starting point is 00:14:49 Listen, listen, there's one accomplishment that I view. Right? I've never been on the main stage of champs, have the confetti fall in my face on a loss. Ooh. That would suck. Yeah. So every time you made finals, you won.
Starting point is 00:15:10 Yeah. I think the funniest shit was Enable, tweeting out. Like, dude, I remember this tweet. Like, it was, I don't remember the exact, like, wording. But it was something along the lines of, like, back-to-back years that the confetti hitting my feet. face on a loss.
Starting point is 00:15:27 I was, I was just like, that's got to be one of the worst fucking feelings in all of these ones. That's a low moment for sure. Just wrapping up your controller. And it's just,
Starting point is 00:15:39 dude, the, I don't know. And then when you go home and open up the controller, the confetti's there. Yeah, and he snuck in there.
Starting point is 00:15:45 I didn't even think about that. You're in the fucking bathroom afterwards. You're in the shower, washing it. You're in the shower washing your hair and some confetti fucking falls out. Dude, I remember I was on stage when you guys won IW champs And I was behind you guys getting shots
Starting point is 00:16:00 And I'm standing on the stage And I hear And I look over like this Because I was scared Bro, Slasher had slammed his controller on the And it was so, everyone was so happy And I had forgotten there was like heartbreakover here Yeah
Starting point is 00:16:17 Because because like everyone was excited And it was just like a shattered controller After grand finals After finals Confetti coming down Confetti coming down I'm getting a shot of Bella Looking at like
Starting point is 00:16:30 Touching the trophy And everyone's so happy And then there's just like I hear this crash And it was like And it was the craziest controller slam But it was I actually tweeted at him I was like dude
Starting point is 00:16:41 Scraps controller slam this past weekend Is the only better one I've ever seen Besides that one Because he literally like Smashed his controller on the ground I didn't look at Slash or like that I thought he was like a chill he wasn't like that he was a little rager was he yeah especially in eight in eight
Starting point is 00:17:01 it was i had countless arguments with him after losses and stuff like he would i think he would like really rage if my if my memory maybe i'm just thinking of that one moment but i feel like he was a he was a rager what was the last time crimm was on this what has happened what's going on in crim's life since i guess the last time we talked to you i don't know how in a while at least at least like two years but i feel like i've seen a lot of content as far as like this racing shit yeah and it's not just racing shit there's like uh this is an entire fucking career yeah did you know this was gonna be your like another step into a career like this looks fun i want to do this i enjoy were you doing simulator before no i was that well i was using did you know you wanted to get
Starting point is 00:17:50 in a fucking car and like go down this path so i knew from i knew from the get go that if i wanted to race like it was going to be like miracle after miracle after miracle and that would be the only way i'd even get in the car in the first place right and that's sort of essentially what happened um like the first thing first things first was like i was using the call duty winnings tournament winnings, salaries, like what you name it. And I was doing like track days, right? That's how I started. Okay.
Starting point is 00:18:29 Just paying for yourself to go out there. Yeah, essentially like going out on the weekends, doing like, hey, no scrims, Saturday, right? Oh, is this while you were competing? This was while I was competing, yeah. So for me, it's like, that was one of the keys to success in gaming was I had an outside hobby that I would go to these track days. and just leave my phone in the bag and not look at it.
Starting point is 00:18:52 So this was never a thought of, this might be a future of mine. No. It was just like a, no, this is your way of like, yeah, getting away from it all.
Starting point is 00:18:59 Put the phone down. Yeah. Like I would literally go the whole day without checking my phone. Um, and that's when I was just doing a whole bunch of videos, like here and there just for fun. Um, and then Porsche basically got involved.
Starting point is 00:19:16 And, that, that conversation was insane with Facebook. phase uh phase gave me a call they're like porches they want to sponsor us right but they want to do a sim team and that's sort of like the whole deal is like contingent on the sim team um well or maybe it was a cherry on top i don't know but they made it seem like you you have to do this um and of course like if you're going to get paid salary-wise yeah yeah and at the time i was like dude this is is this while you were competing
Starting point is 00:19:50 This was, no, this was when I was playing war zone. Okay. And I think it was like right after a loss, they called me. And I'm like, they're like, they basically, you know, pitch the question. I was like, all right, let's do it. And they essentially said, all right, the tournament is in 72 hours in, in a catavise, Poland, right? And you hadn't? It was a brand new game.
Starting point is 00:20:16 I didn't touch the sim in like a month and a half. I already had one set up. I just haven't played it. And I call Blast, or I think I texted him or something like that. I was like, hey, I'm doing sim racing, like, professionally. I got a tournament. I got to go to Poland in 48 hours at the time. Like, I'm probably never playing war zone ever game.
Starting point is 00:20:41 I'm retired. That was it. Yeah, that was, he was just, dude, he loves telling that story. I can't imagine what his face looked like, dude, because we, just got second in like one of the beginning opening tournaments of war zone um of war zone two yeah so did you not see war so we're actually good you didn't see war zone as like your future at all well basically we didn't seem like the first opportunity we were we got to leave yeah yeah because we're really good at war zone but i wasn't pulling any like viewers right i may as well have just been playing
Starting point is 00:21:12 a completely different game yeah it was really weird that's what i noticed i'm like shoot like I think the viewers are here for Call of Duty multiplayer. Right. And that's it. Yeah. No, I've always thought that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:26 Like if Repulse plays multiplayer. Yeah. He probably just, his viewership tanks. If Zuma plays Warzone, his viewership tank, it's just, it's weird.
Starting point is 00:21:34 It doesn't translate. Yeah. Uh, but yeah, did that and then honestly got my ass kicked. Bad. What kind of tournament is this? Because I want to,
Starting point is 00:21:44 I want to know this is your first racing sim tournament. It's the first, like it's almost it's past going to like a local land in a video game this is like an established already dude a mansion is involved is there like a set it wasn't just Porsche it was like BMW it was like so this is a legit no like yeah like the teams that i was going against were literally like furea um like you know i was on phase they're like g2 yeah like yeah they were really trying yeah is it still is it still popular like that or no uh yeah yeah yeah but but not on that game anymore.
Starting point is 00:22:19 Okay. Yeah, but, yeah, so, but imagine, like, imagine if they threw in,
Starting point is 00:22:24 who should I say? It's, dude, it's never really happened, but like, I was the PR stunt in the pro league. So imagine if they just threw in,
Starting point is 00:22:38 I don't even know, like a fucking chess player into the CDL. That's essentially what happened. Magnus Carlson. Yeah. Yeah. for those the CDL
Starting point is 00:22:50 C9 and he's on a fucking pro team too like that's essentially what happened so so you get the you get the call you get the you get the announcement tweet obviously the cod fans are happy for you but they're like what the fuck what do the racing
Starting point is 00:23:05 players what are they were like were they heated dude they were pissed I can imagine and I'm like I'm like I get it I understand why you're mad like I don't know if I should be here, but I'm just, you know, doing the opportunity. It's the opportunity.
Starting point is 00:23:20 Yeah. Yeah. And, uh, but that's how it went for the first couple days. But Sunday night. Sunday night at the bar. Right. I, I walked in. Nobody, everyone's like, who the fuck is this fat American?
Starting point is 00:23:36 They're like, this fat American. I'm sure that was their first. He's so awful. Like, the guy can't drive. But luckily a lot of them did play call of duty. Yeah. So at least that I was like where we could actually like, like, talk to. to each other and whatnot and they're all,
Starting point is 00:23:48 they all speak English, even though they're from all throughout Europe. Yeah. But yeah, walked into that bar, almost hated and then walked out of it, like, you were the man?
Starting point is 00:24:02 I was the fucking, I don't know if I was the man, but I was friends with everyone. And then they essentially, um, they were the ones who taught me out of drive. Right. You know?
Starting point is 00:24:14 The other pros. Yeah, because they're like, you know, this guy's not so bad like he's he's he's just trying to get better yeah you know what i mean and well it's also like there's a respect on your name because they know your accomplishments yeah and it's not like this guy's not just dicking around or some doesn't have some rich dad that got him into this it's like this guy's uh respect like there's for you to have as many wins and be as as accomplished as you are like there's got to be something special to this guy but can he fucking
Starting point is 00:24:44 adapt to this like he's already had an event dude you know it doesn't have much practice but like maybe there's there's there's a respect on your name when they talk if you guys want to know how like the the skill gap in racing or sim racing either one of them dude it is so extreme even right now even after they taught me you know how to drive i'm racing real life right if i if you were to repeat like take my current skill set and put me in that situation again, I probably wouldn't get last, but I'd be fighting at the back of the field for sure. Even now? Even now.
Starting point is 00:25:26 Yeah. How many years later? Like four years later. Four years later, you have so much more practice under your belt. At that type of event, you're still? I would still be in the battle at the back. Yeah. So were these kids, they just grew up?
Starting point is 00:25:41 sort of playing. Yeah. Yeah. This is like, you know how like touching a controller like and aiming and everything called duty feels like walking. Right.
Starting point is 00:25:50 Yeah. Yeah. To them like manipulating the pedals and steering is like their second walking. Yeah. They just have so much control. Well, they didn't go into it practicing. They just, they just loved it.
Starting point is 00:26:01 It's just like us with, us with controllers. We didn't, we didn't start thinking like, okay, let's, I gotta get really good at this. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:26:08 It's just you were fucking eight years old. Yeah. the controller first person shooters started coming out yeah then next thing you know you heard about tournaments these guys these guys and that's probably the same situation for these fuckers their dad probably threw them in a vehicle when they were seven years old well it's just it's just a different honestly it's a different culture in europe like race at least sports car racing is way bigger in europe right like people like will grow up on that um like here there's various small pockets like you're from North Carolina right yeah so like you're in one of those pockets
Starting point is 00:26:42 it was like NASCAR yeah and like motorsport teams are all there shit my team right now is there is it um yep but like where i grew up in Seattle there's like one track within a thousand miles right the whole state yeah like it's insane it's insane there's no like we don't race there ever right we know there's we don't go there that's the one corner of the country we don't go to oh that means Because there's like dirt tracks and little, little gravel tracks and stuff like that all over North Carolina. Like all over the ones, all that stuff. Like, we had none of that.
Starting point is 00:27:19 So, and shoot, I was like all over the northwest, right? Like, we're always doing road trips and everything like that. Like, I didn't even know about racing until I was like 15, 16. Yeah. So I didn't even know it was a thing. It just feels like it feels like the guys that are. top dogs in racing, they're kind of like, you know how like once you get, like, you can never be a grandmaster in chess if you're, if you start playing over a certain age,
Starting point is 00:27:46 like over 12, I think it's like 12 years old or something like that. Like in order to be a grandmaster, you got to start playing when you're like four. I feel like it's got to be similar in racing, right? I think these guys have been racing. You're going to get up against people that have been racing their whole lives. Want to talk ETS with the people behind them? Join me. It's Jean-Jon-Cabuchar on the upside ticker talk. We dive into what's moving markets with timely analysis, trends, and answers to ETF questions you've actually been thinking about. Hit play on the upside ticker talk and elevate your ETF investing IQ. Yeah, and that's sort of the weird part.
Starting point is 00:28:20 It's like I'm in the like amateur gentleman class, right? So, but these guys have, it's like, yeah, I'm younger than the people in my class, but they have like unlimited money, right? They can literally, like, we just. show up at the track and we just drive this from their like sponsorships and no this is this is like businesses they own and like all this stuff so it's like and i'm in the pro the pro the pro am class right so one pro one am i'm the am right but these guys will literally pay like super high level drivers to like essentially carry them you get what i mean and if they're the am yeah they'll pay a like if i had a
Starting point is 00:29:04 if i had a billion dollars i could go to you just hire shotsie yeah Yes, exactly. Oh, okay. Exactly. Like, I don't play call, dude. Who should I just overpay to? So that's where it's actually like this year, it's actually really difficult because it's weird as fuck. Because it's, you know, and it's super complicated, but we don't like do testing, right?
Starting point is 00:29:24 So we'll just show it to the track and drive. These other guys will go and practice at the track for two days beforehand. That's so, that's, I feel like such an advantage. Oh, it's a huge advantage. But it's also like, I don't know, 15 to 20. $20,000 a day. To practice? Just to practice.
Starting point is 00:29:41 So weird. Imagine in Call of Duty if you had to pay money to play the map. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So that's what it is. So are you one of the only people, are you one of the only teams where like you're the AM that is like actually trying to like you're being.
Starting point is 00:29:57 Oh, they're all fucking trying for sure. Okay. You just don't have the money to buy a nasty pro. Well, it's our team doesn't really work like that. You're like legit. and shit. Yeah. So when it comes to you, you and the pool of amateurs, where are you? First. First. Yeah. That's what I figured. I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm, three years, of, pros. pros yeah and i still have yet to figure out this fucking car they're they're telling me like drift it
Starting point is 00:30:27 or drive it like a shifter cart and i'm like dude i was 260 pounds like two years three years ago four years 60 dude i was 260 i'm like you think my fat ass you're too hitchy could even fit in a go cart at all like i wouldn't even i would hop in the the go card and not even know like what the hell this the shift lever does like is it forward a down shift or is it you know Yeah. Like, I don't even know. Like, you got to talk to me like, I'm an idiot or something. Because this is all, like, the second profession to me.
Starting point is 00:31:02 Yeah. Yeah. So is there a price, is there, what does the price pools look like for these? Plastic, plastic trophies. Oh, really? Yeah, it's literally just for, for glory, man. Okay. So between these four years of, you went to your first event, you were dog shit, four years later,
Starting point is 00:31:22 You still claim to be dog shit, and this was for sim racing. How many, how often in that four years were you, were you worried or focused on sim racing? Or did you just always want to get to the real car? Or do you have to, like, get good at sim racing to get to the car level? The entire, the plan. Because I feel like I always see you in a car now. I don't see you. Yeah, the whole plan the entire time was to get in an actual car.
Starting point is 00:31:47 Okay. And I knew that, like, the sim racing was going to prepare me for that. But I also knew that the only way I was going to be in an actual car is the content and the story. Oh. And the whatnot. So it was like the sim racing was the tool. Why is that? Well, it's just, it just costs so much money.
Starting point is 00:32:10 And the problem with sim racing. Was it like your skill level or it just costs so much money? Or you knew, like, we could make a. story out of my, you know, best at Cod. Yeah. We could make a story out of this to get, that'll be my slot in there. I guess let's I mean, it was mainly
Starting point is 00:32:28 the money, right? Because like, let's talk about what I've been doing is like if I get a brand deal or sponsorship or anything like that, right? Yeah. Where like, I don't know. Like, in gaming, you'd get hyped. You'd get it, you'd be like, all right,
Starting point is 00:32:46 this is awesome, right? get a make a couple videos so you get $10,000 yeah makes make $10,000 whatever it is right what I'm doing now I got to make those videos and I don't get a dime
Starting point is 00:33:01 so I'm up because it just goes in back into racing oh so it's like it's actually like the flips like that's how invested I am in this dream is like I'm doing all this work like I just did something I guess I flew to L.A. to go
Starting point is 00:33:18 do something right and i actually lost money because the expenses weren't getting reimbursed yeah right and i and and and i wasn't getting any of the money so your team's not like so uh all that money went towards a team i had to pay all the uh like food bills and whatnot i'm not complaining it was just food yeah but like theoretically i lost money doing that right yeah yeah all for the the stream of mine so is there are you trying to get to a point where it where it is like very profitable or are you you just content with racing? There is no better feeling than racing in the world. If if for adrenaline junkies like yourself.
Starting point is 00:34:04 Yeah. If I mean, dude, one of these days we got to get you guys out to the track and just do ride-alongs. That'd be down. Was in ride with you? Yes. See, are there any other racers there? Yes, but that's not that you that's missing the point, man. Can I bring the vlog?
Starting point is 00:34:23 I'll go third. Yes. I'll go third. Yes. Oh, no, the whole entire time we're, we're GoPro in your helmet. We're putting a GoPro in the car looking at the passenger. And you're confident you want to do something stupid because it wasn't one. If we went to Kota, right, I have like probably thousands of laps there.
Starting point is 00:34:42 And there's no. How far away is that? It's awesome. Is that where X games was? Yeah, yeah. Yeah, but dude, like, I would be down. I'd be down. Honestly, man, the, just driving the car, right?
Starting point is 00:34:57 Like, it's fucking crazy what it does to you, right? Because you go to these weekends and you have, like, the highest high of your entire life, right? Like, and I'm talking, we don't even drive much, man. Like, we have two, we have two 50-minute practices. I would drive 25 minutes each. So literally 50 minutes a day maximum, and it makes everything worth it. Like you don't think about anything else.
Starting point is 00:35:25 It's like you reach flow state not by choice. You get what I mean? Like just being in that environment, it forces you into it. Right. And it's like it's the craziest feeling because I always say this. I'm like, whatever I felt like what I used to call adrenaline in gaming, I'm like, that's not a adrenaline at all. I don't know what it is, but that's not adrenaline.
Starting point is 00:35:50 What about gaining flow state to racing flow state? I mean, the racing is like next level. Because just driving, like, even if you're driving slow, like you're essentially in flow state. Like you're not thinking about work. You're not thinking about financial stuff. You're not thinking about like anything, right? You're not even thinking, like, I'll be in the car and I really have to piss.
Starting point is 00:36:14 and then the moment the race starts, I'm like, I don't have to piss anymore. It goes away. It literally goes away. And I don't know if that's a good example or not, but like I don't even notice it until I get out of the car. Damn. When you say you do 50 minutes each day,
Starting point is 00:36:33 is that because that's all you're allowed to, all you want to pay for? Or is that just that's enough? When you're racing, that's enough. That's the schedule. So like on these weekends, the best way I can describe it, it is imagine if MLG back in the day, right, imagine if they only had one main stage.
Starting point is 00:36:53 Okay, with, and they had to share it with Starcraft, Halo, Call of Duty. So it's like, there's certain times where, like, Call of Duty will play here, Halo will play right after. It's like that. Okay, okay. Yeah. So you're, the, the, the proam that you're in is only one of the. Yeah, well, super, yeah, it's called Lamborghini Super Trofeo. There's, like 40 cars on the grid. They, I think IMSA, IMSA is like the MLG.
Starting point is 00:37:21 Okay. I think about IMSA like MLG and the other series SRO would be like the UMG. UMGs? Yeah, but yeah, but we're always causing wrecks incidences. You know,
Starting point is 00:37:34 just fucking shit up pretty much. And they're always having to spend extra time cleaning like our mess up. So, from practicing? from a dude there there is a red flag like every single practice every single session some and this is just oh tons of money people don't care man they just literally like dude i is it because they're all rich as fuck well i think it's that in combination with this car is very hard to drive so like right now i'd say i'm like the level maybe one or two levels below like the highest level like endurance racing
Starting point is 00:38:12 and everyone says that this is the hardest sports car to drive. What's the name of the car? I want to see it. Lamborghini Super Trafeo. Evo 2. So let me get an idea of like that? Yes. Holy shit.
Starting point is 00:38:27 So you can't see it, but the front tires are like very narrow. Oh, so these are all, are they all Lamborghinis? Yeah. Oh, yeah. I'm only racing. I want a straight away. How fast is that go? I've gone up to like 170.
Starting point is 00:38:41 So like our last race. of the year is in Monza, Italy, and it's got like a two mile long straight. They actually have to limit the speed on the cars because aerodynamically, the cars would start to like get very unstable, yeah, possibly fly, right? Holy shit. So like the, I don't think they would fly. I think if anything would happen, the front arrow would smash the front suspension. These cars just, it's not all about the speed.
Starting point is 00:39:12 Like these cars are designed to move a certain way quickly. Yeah, exactly. So it's like when you look at this type of car, you would think like, damn, the shit, it probably is like $2.50. But it's like that's not what the car is designed. Dude, there's straight line stuff. I literally made a video about this because I don't know what happened that day. Someone asked me that and I was like, all right, I'm fed up with this.
Starting point is 00:39:32 I'm making a fucking video. But when you're going in straight lines, right, you're going one, you know, anywhere between, like the average speed would be 150 probably right but it'd be 150 happening quick but the thing is that you're on a racetrack you don't have many reference points right you don't have a car driving next to you going 50 right or 60 right so 150 doesn't even seem like 150 because everyone else is yeah and then not to mention like cornering is where you actually have to like not only mentally prepare yourself but like physically be capable to do like a high g corner or whatever um so on the straightaway that's where you're like talking over the radio that's where you're wiping the sweat out of your
Starting point is 00:40:18 eyes in my case i'm adjusting my glasses so i don't fucking fog up because this car is no AC no vents there's no airflow in the car um no radio no you know you know you have radio they don't yeah No car play Yeah but it's Yeah that's the interior This is what it looks like when you're driving That's my office That's your office
Starting point is 00:40:45 Oh shit Yeah dude to turn on the car It's like launching a spaceship You gotta flip the The two ignition switches Turn on the ECU, the computer Then you can turn on the ignition
Starting point is 00:40:59 This car is just literally only made To go around this track Yeah Like there's not street legal There's not even a second seat. Why would it not be street legal? Like, what about it? Because you said the top speed wasn't that insane.
Starting point is 00:41:15 Well, besides the fact that... Well, there's no airbags. Yeah. Besides the fact that there's like no cushioning, no airbags, you fly straight through the window. There's some U.S. rule and regulation about roll cages on production cars. I don't know why Jeeps can have them. but like you like
Starting point is 00:41:37 I remember when I had the Porsche GT3 right I was trying to get it shipped with the roll cage and they the ruling is like they can deliver it to Europe but they can't deliver it to the US so it's something to do with roll cages and like collision safety right dude I don't think I didn't know you were like I thought I didn't know y'all were all driving Lambo's so yeah so when you're when you are on the track
Starting point is 00:42:04 and there are other cars on the track, are you only racing against the AMs? The pro AMs. So, for example, I could be, each team has to select driver one, driver two. Okay. Right. I could be like, all right, let me go driver two.
Starting point is 00:42:21 You take driver one, right? Another team could be like the pro could say, I want driver two. Oh, okay. So there's not, you don't really know. So you're out there driving against, You don't even know if they're pros. You don't know if their ams.
Starting point is 00:42:36 Your opponent's, your primary opponent is the clock. Right. Your secondary is, you know, the other yellow stickers, the other pro amps. The other, okay. So you don't, do you actually not know who's in the other cars? No. Like, you just get in your car and you don't know. I mean, I'm.
Starting point is 00:42:52 I could, I could ask. Oh, he's a pro. I could ask over the radio and, and whatnot. But like, either way, the end result is the same. as fast as you can. So can you tell when somebody, can you tell when somebody on the track is like shit is bad at driving? Oh,
Starting point is 00:43:10 yeah, immediately. Usually like one, one corner that, no. Are they Asian? My teammate is a girl and she's Asian and she's fucking fast, dude.
Starting point is 00:43:21 You dumb ass. She was literally born in China, dude. Hey, shouts out to the pro. Shout out to the pro. China number one. Always happened.
Starting point is 00:43:38 Oh, man, bro. Jesus Christ. All right, I actually got pissed. I'll be our back. All right, man. We'll wait. Trust me. We got some questions for you.
Starting point is 00:43:48 Could hold it in the race car. It comes to the fly cast. No, that honestly, having to go to the bathroom before a race because you have to hydrate, like, a lot. Yeah. That's my biggest fucking fear. because pissing yourself because if you think about it right where your belt clips on is right here all the belts go right here right where your bladder is right where your bladder is and when you slam on the break and you have to go to the bathroom you haven't peed yourself yet no I haven't
Starting point is 00:44:20 peed myself what people do people do do do sometimes people just let loose like fuck it I can't take it no more dude and just fucking just empty their whole not like a little like a little like longer your races. They're not, they're not long enough for that to happen. Like NASCAR guys will go for like two hours. Dude, they'll go for like four.
Starting point is 00:44:40 Four hours. Yeah. They gotta piss themselves. I think the average is like three or something. The NASCAR guys have to piss themselves. Yeah, they definitely do. Oh, man. They gotta wear like,
Starting point is 00:44:50 I wonder if they wear anything special. No. So the, no. They don't. In about, I can tell you this much. They don't.
Starting point is 00:44:57 Just dries up. The only cool, dude, this, we had a year one. and then we went to a new team and there was pretty much like this adds weight, stop being a bitch you don't need this right
Starting point is 00:45:10 was this system it's called like a cool shirt system so you basically wear like you guys ever been snowboarding few times skiing whatever so it's like long underwear with tubes like it's not
Starting point is 00:45:26 it's not in your arm I don't know why I'm pointing in my arm it's in my chest and your back yes so look at this shit and you're just peeing through that no no no god damn it and then it goes into your bucket so so that's no okay so the bucket is where you have like ice and water and you plug this in and it's in the car it's in the passenger seat and you plug this in and it will pump like cool water throughout the shirt throughout yeah throughout the shirt and that's underneath your fire suit and dude it feels incredible Yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:01 Like it almost like shocks you. Okay. Because of how cold it is. A little gasm? Well, dude, I'll be sitting there like lab three or four or five. I'm like, all right, it's getting hot. You flip it on. Flip it on.
Starting point is 00:46:15 And it's like jumping into like a cold plunge. Yeah. But you don't rock that anymore. No. What's the, what weight are you at now and where do you have to be if you want to make it to where you want to be at? I think I can get to like I think I did the math on this it was like if I could get to 165 I'd be like 8% body fat
Starting point is 00:46:43 Bram at 165 yeah but like that would be that would like it lowers lower is better yeah lower is better like you would that would be able to 100 pounds right didn't you say you were just 260 oh my so would you feel it in the car like the turning's different now yes that's so yeah because like um like even just just 20 pounds like how much do you weigh out you don't mind saying g force i'm at like 200 right now yeah gain some weight
Starting point is 00:47:13 so so like g force is basically like say you're going through a corner of 1.5g right been there done that's well that's 1.5 times your body weight that's how Bose drives and that's how you and that's what you feel that's what you would feel So it's not linear. It's exponential. I'm understanding. Right? So the less you are, the faster you're going to be in a straight line.
Starting point is 00:47:38 And then also when you're corner or break hard, you're going to feel less G. What are the best? Say look at the, does it, their minimum weight? Their minimum weight is, uh, what's the average weight for like the top eight? Like an F1, it's 170 or 175. but that's with gear oh with gear yeah and how many how many pounds is gear max it's really not that much it's like under 10 yeah so realistically they're weighing like 65 pounds yeah what's the what's the what's the math 165 Matt what's the what's the
Starting point is 00:48:18 math on that if 82 82 kilograms is 181 pounds the lightest drivers Hey, Siri, what's 65 kilograms in pounds? 181. The minimum limit, 181. 143 for the lightest drivers. Yeah, so. So guess how much my teammate weighs? 130.
Starting point is 00:48:45 No. 117. I think she's around that. 117. Yeah. Yeah, so you should see, like, when we're going over data, I was just looking at it. I was like, she's cheating. I was like, damn, she's two tens faster than me on the straightaway.
Starting point is 00:48:59 There's nothing you do. There's just foot to the floor. She's just flying past. I'm like, I'm like, fuck. Like, but I'm like, this is a huge advantage. Yeah. Wow. I'm surprised people aren't tinier then.
Starting point is 00:49:12 Like, girls just start mastering the sport. Yeah. 117 is team. I'm eyeballing it. She could be less or more. I don't know. Yeah. But she's around that range.
Starting point is 00:49:22 15, 125. Yeah. It's still. Do you think she feels a... more G4s. Well, she'd feel less. You should see her. She would feel like less in the car.
Starting point is 00:49:36 She'd be more comfortable in the car. Yes. Yes. The lighter you are, the less you would feel. Interesting. Yeah. But the less you are, the less weight you are, the less muscle you have. How many championships have you won?
Starting point is 00:49:49 Dude. Well, championships like both years. So like overall like season championships, like, imagine if the CDL had like a a championship for the amount of pro points you weren't yeah yeah yeah so two okay so i've gone first year i won like i was essentially in the pro class okay won that second year i won the am class and then got second in the pro class so like yeah they were not used to that shit yeah they were like what it like is this i'm
Starting point is 00:50:28 are we just going to give this guy two trophies every race? They're like, what the fuck? Like, this doesn't happen. And then this year, dude, first couple races I was driving like Helen Keller out there. So, yeah, dude, this car, I jumped in the car. I'm kidding. Somebody get him.
Starting point is 00:50:50 God damn it, dick. Comments will get me. Yeah, no, but like this year has been, like first time driving the car first day I spun it like four times oh shit just like test this the car you were in I fucking skateboarded the car like I'm talking like seesawed the car
Starting point is 00:51:10 on a curb where it literally it got like dude so imagine this is a curb my knee right this is a car I was rocking back and forth oh shit like I spawned and came to a stop pretty much but I was like stuck dude and what I did to get off of it I timed the throttle
Starting point is 00:51:27 with when the rear tires were going to touch the ground and just shot off the car. I was like, I was like, guys, I'm boxing. I had to spin, check the car. Oh, my God. So what's your, all right, so you're not doing sim racing anymore.
Starting point is 00:51:46 No, that's what I'm doing. Do you have to do that? I'm not competing in it. Okay. But I'm still on that like two hours a day every day. Are you like under an or, like an optic? Are you under an organization within,
Starting point is 00:51:57 the racing world that like covers your travel yes in your hotel yes but yeah that's what our team it's really weird there our team is very similar to rafa racing is very similar to how esports teams run it um shoot like even like
Starting point is 00:52:15 you go to the event right you got you have like support staff you have your videographer you got your page you got your yes exactly exactly the only the only difference is is like you're going to a racetrack you need a rental car at the airport because you got to drive like you usually fly in
Starting point is 00:52:33 and then you have to drive like two hours Oh yeah because it's not right Nothing by the airport yeah Yeah so all the rich people Do they just take PJs Do they take helicopters in? Literally Crazy
Starting point is 00:52:45 That's that's actually No I'm not gonna So have you met people Some of your competitors Or some people that own teams around you That are just like They all own businesses That are just like
Starting point is 00:52:56 This is what? But this is their hobby. Yeah. And this is what they just have unlimited money. Yeah, like one of my good buddies, like, has, like, maple syrup. That one's, like, a Canadian maple syrup company. Met a few people, like, high up at Apple, right? Like, you meet, like, you meet, like, crazy people doing this.
Starting point is 00:53:18 Like, absolutely, like, insane. But then is there people like you that are just... Not really. Like, I'm just... Like this is like, especially in the am. I'm an up-and-comer. I'm trying to make this happen.
Starting point is 00:53:31 This is my dream. It seems like you're racing people that are doing it for fun. Yeah, but the thing is. Like, is it super competitive, though? It is. I mean, it is. These rich fucks ain't letting you win.
Starting point is 00:53:43 Well, the pro, I'm assuming the pros are playing. Like, these aren't the pros are going. The pros are. The ams are the ones that are the business owners. Is your goal to become a pro that's an am will pay a lot of money? That is the That's the question
Starting point is 00:54:01 Right That's the actual like Because realistically I could like both routes I could do both routes Yeah right but I well One has to make more money Yeah yeah the pro would make more money
Starting point is 00:54:16 But there's a ceiling to that Okay You know what I mean like if I take that pro route Like yeah I can get paid to drive Right but like where I'm at right now might be the highest I ever go. Okay. You get what I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:54:31 Like as far as championships. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. So like the, you know, the late bloomer like, you know, you start a business or whatever, you got in a racing later on. That's, but for me, rather than the business, it was professional call of duty. Right.
Starting point is 00:54:45 Right. Like if I take that route at LeMond, right, or even like weather tech, which is like the Rolex 24 hour, right? You need an amateur driver. each team is going to need one right so that route there's a higher ceiling because you can you can get paired up with better drivers yeah and granted you're going to be driving way less because you're going to be the worst one on the team for sure but like if every single team needs one and I'm trying to be that one for you're trying to be the best of that one yes yes and I mean like I thought about it and it's I'm like dude if I'm going against people like my entire team that I'm on
Starting point is 00:55:26 now they've this is all they've ever done right they're all pros pretty much this is they're all classified as pros this is all they've ever done that's so so like how many years in are you like six seven yeah like two two two two years sim racing like three years at like real racing well two and a half yeah what what race was it was it in the lambergenies what you tweeted a couple months ago that you like barely i want to see this dude i got to tell you what happened that shit looked terrifying the next driver's meeting dude so apparently this guy was like give or take like if he was half a sec if if if the guy that hit him was half a second faster or slower like the guy the orange car that got hit like he could have been killed and that's not my words that's
Starting point is 00:56:25 that is like dude look at that show yeah those are lambos so you're in this race yeah is that you in the the green car yes you want to guess my speed right there one is there a third clip besides just uh yeah there there should be a full yep oh this is that you're going 140 the exact miles an hour is 145 oh my god Now, how did that not fucking destroy him? It kind of did. Like, it fucked him up? Like, he got really injured?
Starting point is 00:56:55 Yeah. It kind of did. I mean, he had to get airlifted out. Well, okay. Go ahead. Well, I was going to say, rewind. I just want to see the, like, full clip from the beginning. Like, break down.
Starting point is 00:57:11 What mistakes were made? Purple spun him out? Yeah. So, essentially. So fuck purple. It's, yeah. So, like, go a little bit positive.
Starting point is 00:57:19 Maybe just play it in like 0.5 or something with the volume off. You might need to do slower because there's, so right here, right before. You see the downward slope like pause. Yeah, just leave it right here. So. Oh, so you're going down here. So it's very hard to tell, but this is like 15 stories of elevation. What?
Starting point is 00:57:39 Yeah. 15 stories. Yeah. Oh, yeah. taller than this building. Yes. Times three. Okay, not times two.
Starting point is 00:57:47 Probably. probably two probably two but like you see way down there like two of these buildings yeah i mean that that that being said whenever i was whenever we went to x games and you have to walk that track you can't walk up the track it's like it's like this yeah and so yeah all right all right yeah yeah so i don't know the exact details but you're coming over where these two cars hit that's that's where the car is at its lightest point because you're coming over a crest and it flattens out okay So basically both these cars have no air going over the top of them to force them down. So like right here where they're at is like one of the scariest fucking moments on the track.
Starting point is 00:58:28 Because if the car goes light, you end up hitting this wall on the right. Right. And, okay, okay. And that's where they made contact. So literally that purple car probably did like a slight like like that. Yeah, just something small. Just something tiny. And.
Starting point is 00:58:45 What? Yeah. Yeah. So nudges him. Literally nudges him. And at that point, it's over. Yeah, there's no regaining. Yeah.

Starting point is 00:59:26 Just keep play it through. Yeah, and then at this point, like, he's literally... And here comes Ian. Yeah. What are you thinking at this moment? You're seeing this? I'll show you guys a video in a sec. But I had about a tenth of a second to the side.
Starting point is 00:59:41 Holy shit. Fucking shit. Yeah. Oh, my God. That was right on the passenger side or the driver's side, too. So, like I said, like, if my hand is the car, right and say my knuckles is right where the driver sits okay he got impacted like right here okay but if he would have been back a little bit further oh yeah it would have been over lights out yeah
Starting point is 01:00:05 yeah it would have been so everyone survived this yes um yeah the guy i don't i don't think i should get into details but let's just say that the seat collapsed inward on itself with him in it Oh, okay. So his lower half is shocked. Yeah. I mean, he was at the, he was at the, like the roof line went from flat to like this. Now when you, what's crazy is the guy that hit him that actually did the teaboning. He's like a friend of mine. And all he had was like a torn ligament in his ankle. That was it. No concussion. Like nothing. So who's, would you say it's purple's fault? Yeah, probably.
Starting point is 01:00:51 Do people look after a situation like this, or people like piss? They parked them. They literally said like, you're done. Purple guy. The purple guy, yeah. Like done as in, you're not going to race here anymore?
Starting point is 01:01:02 I don't know about anymore, but that race, like they said you're not racing anymore. So. Holy. And you're going... Because it's that, obviously, it's that frowned upon.
Starting point is 01:01:13 Yeah. Yeah. But like, say, put yourself in purple shoes. Are, is that... Do you look at that? Like, that was so fucking. an avoidable, that guy's an idiot? Or was it just
Starting point is 01:01:23 like, fuck, that's unlucky? No, it's more like, I shouldn't try to do that. Because Purple, like, pushed him, right? He should have just lifted. Like, it's not worth it. Like, in your head, you see that and you're like, dude, why the fuck did you do that? Yeah, yeah, pretty much.
Starting point is 01:01:40 Wow. Because, like, what Purple did would have been fine if it was just 200 feet later, 200 meters later, right? It was just at that point. It was just at that specific moment you don't want to like that is you're hanging on for dear life right there these racers know these things yeah yeah you should not do something like everyone's like oh look at these like i
Starting point is 01:02:02 remember i posted this and they're like oh dentist crashing all this shit those two guys are pros those two guys are running like fucking fourth and fifth or like fifth and six the the purple and the orange guys both of those guys were pros okay so oh so is there is there my pro running at the very front of there was 41 cars and they're fourth and fifth so is there so are there other like leagues
Starting point is 01:02:30 that look at the proams and they like kind of like what you race in and they think it's like dangerous that these rich guys are going out there and being like I mean all the all the the reason why this series is
Starting point is 01:02:44 carnage is because so for example like in the pro ham class The fastest car on the grid isn't in the pro category. He's the pro. Most of the fastest pros are actually in the pro-am category. Okay. There's like, that's sort of true, but like,
Starting point is 01:03:04 they're out of say the top six, three of them might be pro amps. But like the point is, is like the slowest car to the fastest car, it would be a gap of like eight seconds per lap, which is like eight seconds is a, equivalent to like you're breaking two sign boards early you're breaking like 200 feet too early yeah yeah so when you're when you're racing right here yeah and you see the front of a car yeah does your i'm checking for first thing i'm checking for is it a blue sticker because the blue stickers there's like there's four classes in the series yeah the blue stickers are the oldest
Starting point is 01:03:43 drivers oh so so if i see a blue sticker i'm like all right he he might just randomly decide to break mid corner i'm saying like i'm saying like you see there's a crash because you never see the front of a car yeah so you're coming up and you see the only front of this orange car the only i didn't even see the cars because i'm coming up over a crest it was like where they crash was like the worst part because the only the only thing i saw was a puff of smoke and i knew and i knew something was happening and then you come over the crest and you literally had like a 10th i had a I had a tenth of a second. Did you clutch up? Yes, I clutch up.
Starting point is 01:04:22 I had a tenth of a second to decide left, right, because slamming on your brakes at 140, like, you're not, I'm not stopping. Right, yeah. So it was either left or right, and then the difficult thing in gaming, it's like you're only going to react with your hands, right? But in racing, you have to react with your hands and your feet. Oh, okay. So, like, if I showed you guys a video, unfortunately, we can't post it.
Starting point is 01:04:47 I can't show it. yeah but literally I had to decide right like I'm gonna have to use the curb and I'm gonna have to floor it as hard as I can so when I went by it was full full fucking speed and
Starting point is 01:05:01 jeez what are your thoughts right after you pass him dude I didn't even I didn't even have time to react like a like are you like it's just being that close to
Starting point is 01:05:13 a crash put you in shock almost no it was the carnage on the next lap oh seeing it all when i see when i see ambulances um trucks we're literally zigzagging to try to avoid the carbon fiber bits yeah it's like you could get a tire puncture on a safety car right so like you're not really racing but if you get a tire puncture you could like lose a position so it's like you got to make sure on that safety car lap you don't get a tire puncture because when you're watching
Starting point is 01:05:46 this stuff on i don't know where it's streamed at but when you're watching it from your tv or your couch it's just like damn like you know i hope no one's hurt but i'm sure as a driver knowing these people meeting these people understanding how severe it is when you come when you come around that lap and you see the the carnage yeah what's the what's the feeling like oh dude it's it's it's it's honestly like damn this is not a joke this is not a fucking joke it's not a fucking joke it's a video game. Yeah, this is not a video game anymore because like the way it happened to me was I saw that puff of smoke come over the crest. I all I was all the only thing I was thinking was go right. Are they in your ear? No. Oh, they don't have time. Yeah, there's no time because it happened right.
Starting point is 01:06:31 Yeah, like if they try to relay that. If they try to relay that, they would have been relaying it as I'm like. Yeah, as you're passing. Yeah. And that's if they did it instantly. But yeah, that was the only thing that was going through my head and then and you don't just pass them once right we pass them three times so you see the progress of like the cleanup like i see them you know them trying to get them out of the car right i see them on the next lap i see him on the stretcher then you still got a race how how much longer because the the cleanup took so long we only got like one lap after that uh like this race that we got second i did four laps Chloe my teammate she did she did she did like one and a half.
Starting point is 01:07:17 Wow. Yeah. It was like because there was another wreck after that too in one race. So yeah, it's people call it. It's like the, how do you is your family, how's your family feel about all this? They went to the last one. They had fun. All right.
Starting point is 01:07:32 I think I'd have fun going too. Yeah. Yeah, but imagine. There's, dude, these, these weekends are insane. There's like, I'd be shitting my pants. They're literally selling out every single. Oh, that's dope. That's good.
Starting point is 01:07:45 I was going to ask about the viewer. Yeah, well, the viewership, the streaming viewership, ain't the same as gaming. Yeah. But the in-person attendance is, like, between... I'd rather watch this in person. Yeah. Yeah, it's usually between, like, 100 to 200,000 people.
Starting point is 01:08:02 Damn. What the fuck. Yeah. Do you have fans? Yeah, like racing fans? Well, you know what's wild, right? So many mechanics from all the other teams. Like, was it a little grim?
Starting point is 01:08:17 Yeah. Oh, because of the game. Yeah, because they all game and stuff too. I bet that made getting in this space a lot more comfortable. Yeah. Instead of being the new kid at school, you're like the new kid at school, but like, you were famous at another. Yeah. Famous at another school.
Starting point is 01:08:32 All right, man. Well, that's going to be our time. Please don't get into a wreck. Yeah. We don't, we don't want you to get into a red. What are you doing now? Are you prepping for a race? Are you just trying to lose weight for races later on?
Starting point is 01:08:45 What's the next move? All the above, bro. All the above. Right now he's focused on Mono Warfare 2019. Yes, sir. Crim's got a big match today. No, Wussaw. Wussaw.
Starting point is 01:08:55 I will not get mad today. I will not get mad today. All right, y'all. It's going to do it for the fly cast. Crem, thank you so much for joining us, man. We wish you the best in luck in the racing world and the best of luck in today's matches. Matt Craig's played out from music.
