Welcome back to another episode of the Flycast.
Matt, what are we on?
Episode, I'm going to say 82.
You might be wondering, Maniac, why are you sitting here?
Where's your usual spot?
Isn't this the, I guess you could call this the host chair.
I'm kind of mad.
Apparently, Dave is on his way walking here.
We have a special guest today.
A very special guest.
A one-of-a-kind.
A generational talent.
the man, the myth, the legend.
Shotsie.
He's joining us today.
Hitch is nowhere to be found.
I'm going to do, I don't like hosting these.
I'm going to do as best as I can to make this flow.
We'll be good.
We don't need, we don't need to.
We'll be good.
Hitch, a little disappointed, no text.
I don't know if I should be calling you out like this.
No text, no phone call, no warning.
Skip down on dinner.
But here we are.
It's all good.
We're making it work.
We miss you Hitch.
Maybe we'll run this back with Hitch in the future.
But what's up, Shotsie?
How you doing, man?
I'm doing good.
This off season has been treating me well.
I've been, uh, this is actually the first off season that I haven't, like, played any games in, like, a minute.
Really?
Dude, I, what's the up?
This podcast, I was going to, obviously, like, sort of like, what's up, man, how you
man?
Like, what are you doing in the off season?
But I was going to say, I figured you were gaming.
Nah, dude.
I kind of look at you like true gamer nerd.
No, I am a true gamer, but I'm not going to lie to, dude.
Gaming right now is like the stalest that's ever been.
Bro, like, put it like this.
I've grinded Apex already.
Like last year, bro, I put...
You were nasty, huh?
Dude, I grinded.
Like, I was saying, like, at least 10 hours of day every day.
So I'm, like, kind of sick of it now.
Valerite, like, I just don't get the same itch anymore.
Like, I don't really know why.
Like, have you ever played my game?
I don't really, like, I played the beta, but I just, I fell off of PC games like that.
Yeah. So, like, that game, like, I'm already sick of it.
And there's just nothing, there's nothing to play it, bro.
So what?
So, all duty, like, I'm not playing old cards.
Like, it's just, it's just so boring or no.
Were you someone that always dabbled into other games?
Are you, like, an APG to where literally he's only played Halo.
It's been, bro, APG started playing Halo in, like, 2005.
The motherfucker hasn't touched anything else since.
He's only, like, 16th year.
Literally, I don't think, oh, let's see.
No, he's definitely played a number thing.
I think he was playing in 2005 to 2020,
two plus eight minus carry the three.
What is that?
Probably the seven.
It's a lot.
You know what's funny is I asked Twitter, like what I should ask you.
And they're like, just ask him simple math questions.
Wait, no, I'm actually got it like a mission.
No, you're in.
We'll get into that.
We got some community questions we can do.
Yeah, APG is, you're not like APG to where you've only played.
No, no, no.
Halo and Cod.
That's where you go wrong with gaming.
well, if you're in season, yeah, like, strictly, like, whatever your game, I respect that.
But I feel like that's another, like, what's that word, like, controversy, like, topic.
They're, like, people that are playing, like, if they're a professional cod players,
like, when Seth would take a break from cod and all the fans.
Or if, like, he would play, or Dashie when he'd play Valoran, like, people are blaming,
say they get top six or something.
Like, as long as you're balancing it to where, like, you're not overcompensated.
like your main game or like your side game compared to your main game then like
because bro I'm not gonna lie like being a competitor like this shit could get like mentally like
draining like bro playing every single day like it's uh what seven eight hours a day like you want
at least like because like obviously you're trying to have fun but like if it's not going
your way like there's teams that deal with like trying to get better throughout the week and like
it's like draining because like you're having arguments and like you see like you know your work not
being uh you know what is like the word like it's not it's not like clicking you know what i'm saying so
it's good to like have you know your own other game to like you just vibe and like chill you know
what helps with that you know center CBT sparkling drink there's a there's a 40 calorie one
and there's a 10 calorie one the black one's calling my name okay for sure this one's calling my name
yeah i got i got to i got to keep my calories low this pie
podcast is brought to you by center, by the way.
This is, I mean, they have this.
Hitch said he chugged one of these, and I thought it before, you chugged one of these.
Makes you feel a little relaxed.
It's just like a nice, clean flavor, but you can, they also have, like, packets and stuff.
I don't know if the camera can see, but there's, like, little packets for recovery,
balanced and relax.
It gives me, like, a, like, a Sprite.
If you chugged one of these, you'll actually.
actually like feel it like it's kind of wait wait do you taste like a little bit of spright or am i triven
yeah it's like a lemony yeah it's like a lemony yeah it's like a lemony is that the same flavor
lemon lime sparkling sort of thing so i can see the resemblance there's there's like sparking
water that like i can not drink but like that's one of them like there's a few that i could drink
and that's definitely one of them yeah what's weird if like if you chug this you're actually
like feel it just kind of makes you i that feel like it chills you out but
I think it affects everyone differently.
Some people are focused, like, mental clarity from it.
I think it's more of like a relaxing thing.
So you're not stream or have you been streaming?
Well, that's another.
I feel like you were streaming for a while.
I was.
If you're not gaming, I'm wondering what.
I was at the start.
But then, nah, dude, right now it's like, like, I'm like with this type of player or
like the type of guy that like I could.
So for example, like our roster mania, like everyone's just saying like, you know,
optic blank.
Optic blank over and over and over.
And, like, I used to be able to like...
You can't.
Yeah, I used to be able to like just...
All right, like, who cares about that?
But like, bro, right now, it's literally whatever I'm doing,
it's like the optic blank every single minute.
You like can't even look at your chat.
It's like, it's not even fun.
Like, I'm just trying to have fun.
I'm trying to game.
Like, I was playing Only Up.
Did you watch?
I know of Only Up.
Yeah, so like I'm just trying to vibe with my chat and like all this stuff.
And like, they're all they're talking about is that.
And like, it's just like, dude, I don't even want to do with that.
so like I don't even I haven't been playing I haven't been streaming playing like I mean I play
Valenra at the other day like one game and like got off but yeah I don't know I've been my main focus
right now is literally running I'm not gonna lie like I was gonna say we're gonna get into your
whole life we're gonna take it way back but for right now what are you doing just running
literally just running and gym that's all I've been doing gym yeah do you be hitting the weights
uh not as crazy as like you would think I'm I'm like doing like I'm I'm like doing like I'm
I'm not doing anything crazy on the upper body.
I'm more like prioritizing like my legs.
Really?
Oh, so are you doing some like, like dead lifts, like, caffre?
Yeah, like strengthening stuff that will help you're running.
Yeah, exactly.
Why the fuck do you, how'd you get into running?
You were like a soccer kid, right?
Yeah, but that's the main reason I quit.
But like you hate, just like everyone else, you hate running when you're actually like.
Let's go back to, I forgot what age I was.
I think it was like 12 or something, 13.
I was actually good as fuck.
I'm not even trolling.
No one believes in.
I was actually good as fuck.
I'm not even like you.
I feel like they should believe.
That's my stepdad.
He's fucking like, bro, he watched me.
Like my first ever game, he was sitting there.
He watched me.
He saw me on the sideline.
I drew three these fucking shit sins.
Scored the goal.
And this guy, like, told me after the game, like, yo, this guy's like, this guy's
gonna go pro.
Like, what was that insane?
No.
Dude, not.
He tells me.
Because he was like, you're the most talented.
Like, even now you can look back at it with like an adult mind.
Oh, no.
Like, damn, I really did have potential.
Between all my brothers, because we all played.
We all played.
I was only forward, though.
Everyone else was, like, defense, midfielder.
I was only, like, forward because, like, I was really fast.
And, you know, he too.
So does that mean you were, like, a Renato?
I don't know anything about soccer, but, like, on the field, you were trying to score goals?
Yeah, and that was my main show.
I was like, bro, I got to score goal.
And this is when you were 12?
Yeah.
After I age, I was there.
Because that was, like, when I was a little bit younger, because, like,
fast forward to like when I was 12 and 13
I was on an academy team
you know Ajax probably or no
I was on Ajax it was basically just like an academy team
I would travel to like San Diego
all this other stuff
damn yeah so the one day
I remember
we did uh suicides
you know what those are
we go up and down up and I played basketball
bro I was so gas and like we would do it like every day
and it just got to a point where like I was just like
I can't do this anymore bro like I just can't
and like at that time I was
getting known in H2A for doing 1V1s.
Really?
Yeah, that was like, bro,
I was 50 knowing Pete is like.
How old were you?
Like 12, 13.
And I was getting 100 views.
You were 1213, 12, 13 year old Shotsie,
because I know Pete is like 12 13 year old
Chatsy's 15-0.
Pete Tizai?
There's actually a funny-ass fucking story.
Like, I'm so, bro, I'm so like,
what is the word?
Like, for anyone that doesn't know Pete Tizzi,
like Pete Tizzo was like,
he got top three, I think, a few times
in like Halo breach or something.
So he's a decent player.
And you were, so you're playing soccer,
and then you start getting into Halo
and you're 15-0ing this pro player.
So, yeah.
So basically what happened was,
I'm playing one of you ones, playing PGLs,
you know what those are at.
I've, like, heard of it.
It's kind of like game battles for Zoh that don't know.
Pro-gaming League?
Yeah, pro-gaming league.
And then, so what ended up happening?
I've 15-0ed him.
And then he, like, disputed and said that he won.
but like he said oh my bad
I did it like on accident
and then I tweeted it out
because I Loki got tight
that he like disputed it
my like fucking trollies
like young self
I tweeted it saying like
my bad dot dot dot dot
and like you just see the score
with me 50 knowing him
you can actually find it on my Twitter
really what year was that
dude this was so long ago
wait this was
hey little read
no H-A oh H-A
yeah damn
H-TUA wasn't even like
that long
ago and you were just fucking 12, 13?
13, yeah.
When did you get, when did you start playing?
What Halo did you start at?
Halo, I think, Halo 1, I'm pretty sure.
Dude, you were not playing Halo fucking 1.
You were 3.
I don't even know.
Wait, so what year were you born?
2001.
That's like when Halo 1 came out.
No, no, no.
So the new, all the halos came out.
I forgot what halo.
I think we're at Halo 2 at the time.
You just start late?
Yeah, I played Halo 1 because that was like the only name we had.
You probably didn't even know this, but my, uh,
but my pro or my uncle was a semi-pro in Halo 2.
What was this game or day?
MLG-C-R-O-R-O-E.
Apparently,
MLG, what?
MLG-C-R-R-E-L.
Cyro?
C-Y-R-L.
Apparently he, he played with OLA before, like, he was even older, before he got known.
See, these are the stories I hear, though.
Like, I'll have people message me like, yeah, I was a, I placed this at this event.
I was a H Halo 2 semi-pro
And I'm just like, no, you fucking weren't
I was a Halo 2 semi-pro
I feel like I knew the A-Lo-2
I mean, there was probably a few names that
Maybe went to a few events
Got like top 32 and I just like
Didn't notice them at all
Yeah
So maybe he's not lying
Yeah
I mean I don't know he was fucking good
I might lie
Like he was good
So what you just started
What was he your own school
And you just start playing with him
Yeah
That shit's so weird to think about
Dude
Because I don't even know how
Like the only reason I got
in the gaming was because of him.
He was the only one that had a console,
but I forgot the reasoning
that I'd even go over to their house to begin with.
I'm not going to lie.
So you started with HALO.
Like your introduction was...
Bro, it's literally HALO.
Like, you go over, play HALA 1 or something a little bit.
I was addicted, bro.
I played campaign.
Oh, it was over, bro.
It was over.
It's crazy.
Were your parents strict at all about, like...
Get off that goddamn game.
My mom was actually luck enough to be cool.
My stepdad...
was a little bit,
I mean,
yeah,
he was kind of strict.
He just didn't understand it.
He came from,
he came from Honduras.
So, like,
for the,
do you know where that is?
I know of it.
Yeah,
it's basically just like,
somewhere.
Somewhere over there.
Somewhere over there.
Actually,
I don't know who is that.
But anyways.
Do you know where that is?
Because I don't.
No,
I don't know.
You think I know?
I don't even know
fucking half the states
that we're in.
We're like,
yeah,
all right,
anyways.
So,
yeah,
he was kind of strict.
but luckily
like as long as I did
whatever like he told me in terms of like
help me with yard work and stuff
he was great you some gaming time
yeah he was cool with it so I was like I fuck it
whatever
um
but yeah so then all right
but then the whole running thing
so the reason why I got in running
was because
yeah I forgot about this
I quit uh soccer because of that
because of running specifically
that's actually like kind of crazy
like looking
back at it because like I run now but anyways so I quit so then I wanted to
I didn't want to like pursue gaming but I was just so addicted to the gaming and I just
wanted a game all the time so then I told my family like I want to quit and like they're
like dude and like I'm not really sure about that I was like trusting me quit this fucking
shit I don't want to do this shit anywhere so then I quit when did you or how old were
you when you like stop playing this is like before this is like right when the H-OA was coming
out and that's when like I officially quit it started like grinding so you're like what
13 14 yeah I was like 12 13 14 around the
there and then that's when uh so the reason i got no this is when i started to get known in hale
is when actually let's bring it back even back to hila reach bring it back before you were
even one v oneing and you're just like playing solo matchmaking when did you think you were like
wait a second i got a 50 and did you have a team and 50 and doubles when i was when the first halo
three came out when was that that was 2000 it came out in 2008 2008 so you were fucking you were seven
It was like 2008, 2009, 2010.
It was like a year after, though.
It wasn't that year.
You probably started in like 2000.
It was in nine or ten.
Whatever that.
So maybe you were playing in like 2010 when you were fucking nine.
I remember specifically.
I was on Narrows.
I got the fucking Muller, killed this guy, beat him up.
And then I got a 50.
And then I was a, and then I never played on the 50 again.
Never.
Did you ever do that?
You got a 50 and just didn't play on it?
Well, the ranks that I cared about were in Haley.
2.
If you would have been born a little bit earlier and got to experience Halo 2, it was literally
correct.
It was the only game.
Halo 3, it was like, I started getting good and it was like, yeah, I'll get home and
let me put in some hours.
But Halo 2 was like, I can't wait to get home and grind.
It was like-
Halo 3 wasn't like that?
Maybe in the beginning, yeah.
But Halo 2 was like, I can't wait to get home from school.
fucking I had all my Xbox
Live friends the friends list was amazing
like you tried to get pros and shit on your list
the ranks were like you
there are only like two or three
people got a 50 in Halo 2
yeah Washie was insane
I think I think Elamite got a 50
Strongside got a 50
You told me Washington have a 50?
No like people like Ogre 2 and stuff
Like they I think they were winning and shit
So they didn't care that much about matchmaking
But matchmaking was like a
People, it was a fucking war.
Like, imagine all the cod pros right now playing, like, ranked, but there's like a one through 50 ranking system.
And you're like a 48 and you're matching fucking pre-stah and, I don't know, phase and shit.
And you're like, and it's hardcore.
And you're playing with a random four.
Like, it was the, like, smashing controllers after losing.
I was, Halo 2.
I was probably like 15, 16.
And so I just, it was like at the end of high school as well.
Did you know in Haliterno?
Towards the end, I went to semi-pro and I was like an online kid.
Like I was like battling the pros.
I'm like, yeah.
You're an online warrior?
Kind of, yeah.
And then there was like proximity chat in game to where you could hear the other team.
And I would like talk to, like, you could talk shit the pros.
Like I used to match either might.
like, oh, I'm a loser, because he was, like, 18 years old, still playing video games.
Literally, that was the biggest thing.
I'm like, you're 18, you're still, like, jelling your hair playing video games.
You're fucking loser.
And I was, like, 14, 15 or something.
And it's just, that was the peak of my enjoyment.
That's, like, that's what got me into it right there.
But, like, I could not wait to get home and play.
What game was that for you?
Halo 3 just, like, doubles?
Halo 3, bro.
Did you not play
what is it, team hardcore?
Or?
MLG?
Like the MLG playlist, 4V4?
VR star.
I think I just didn't have anyone.
I think that was like the main reason why.
Would you search doubles by yourself?
Yeah, bro.
Really?
I wouldn't talk or anything.
I would just...
Deliver it.
He just fucking...
Little-ass kid.
Just like, either raging or...
Bro, that probably had a big
impact of, like, your play style.
It probably did.
Dude, look cute.
Because if I had a teammate...
You just got to do everything.
Oh, no.
I was...
I mean, I was probably...
I don't know what I...
I don't know my play style back then,
but...
Yeah, I just remember getting that 50,
and then ever since then,
I just did not play on that.
Were you a little rage or anything?
Like, start betraying your teammates if you're losing.
I can't remember, yeah.
I forgot.
Were you a little shit?
I was.
I was...
I feel like this the way I am naturally.
Like, there's no way I was like that.
Like, just thinking about it.
Like, I don't see...
I can't see that with you.
Yeah.
I can't see you being a little shit.
I was actually like, I was.
Because back then, bro, I was just like really quiet.
And like, I was just like very conservative and just like mine in my own business.
You just, you were happy as long as you were on the game.
If I was on the game, bro, I was literally licking my lips.
Bro, I remember in Halo 3 like I was, Halo 2, I'm smashing controllers.
I'm talking shit.
Like I'm talking.
Yeah, I see you at the event.
We're fighting.
Like, it was like that.
People were threatening to beat me up.
I'm threatening to fight them.
We go to the event
Nothing fucking happens
But I'm like
I'm like 16
17
You wouldn't say that shit online
Yeah
Or me in person
Then you get to the events
Like damn I'm a fucking little
Dweep too
None of us are doing shit
Yeah
It's fucking hilarious
But yeah that was
I was
We talk shit the most
When you competed
Probably in the clutch
Like I remember
I was such a little shit
In the clush
Clutch was a huge shit talker
Really
Fuck
Everyone
not everyone hated him
everyone liked him
but like he talked a lot of shit
and he had like beef
with people
the clutch
even even me
I was kind of I was kind of like that a little bit
like the pros liked me
but maybe like the top six
like the top I guess pros
sort of liked me but like the top 16
I'd have like some beef
like I remember we'd scrim
and I'm just like
me and Demon D
would, like we were kind of like a duo and then Clutch was like, I don't know, I don't know what you, me,
D, and Cloud would call ourselves the tricep and then we call Clutch the pinky toe.
Like we were just like, bro, we were a team and we won a national championship and that was our mindset.
We were at A-Laddle.
So he was like the weakest link.
He just, he just, he, we just fit perfectly as a team, but we would argue all the time.
Like, me and D.D. would just start like, like, like, we'd spawn up and just shoot him in the back once.
It's like he wouldn't even know.
He wouldn't even know, but we just, like, shoot him in the back a little bit.
And, like, clutch under smike's just like, what the...
Just, like, wondering how he fucking died.
I was a little fucking shit.
Wait, did you all scream back then?
How was the scenery back then?
Nothing like it is now.
Like, back then, we weren't getting paid $100 grand a month to...
So we would...
Yeah.
All we would...
There's obviously no salaries.
All we'd get is, like, prize money.
Like, even...
for getting third we get
I think 2,000 each
and like that would have the last months
Damn
Um
Wait what was the question
I fucking uh
Like screaming is it like
Oh it's screaming
Um no it's completely different
Like we would start
Because people had jobs
Oh my god
It's crazy people had jobs and shit
So we would start screaming at like nine
At night right
Like the earliest would be like eight
Like 8pm would be like an early scrim
But usually like 9 10
and then we go to like 2 a.m.
And that was kind of...
You would sign on
and then like figure out what the fuck you're gonna do.
I feel like I'm not trolling dude,
just like looking, like going back.
Like, I feel like the only reason people would like...
Would do the job is because of the fact that they'd just get old.
We were all just addicted to it.
Yeah, like, bro.
Even if I get two hours of sleep,
as long as like I do my job and like I know that I'm gonna be able to get on HALA
that same night, like I'm doing whatever the fuck I need to do.
You know what I'm saying?
Yeah, like I would do...
I was like stocking shelves at a grocery store.
Afterwards,
maybe like go to the gym or something.
Because I've always sort of been into working out.
Yeah.
But mostly,
yeah,
mostly just gaming and disappearing for months.
But yeah,
I would do,
I do my job,
come home,
work out,
come home,
it's like 8 or 9 p.m.
Then we just sign on.
We're like,
is anyone fucking on the scrim?
Like,
it was so,
it was serious.
It was serious.
but like we just didn't it just wasn't evolved at that level yet we just knew we'd sign on and
there'd be like someone to scrim you just start looking at your friends list sending messages
bro wait did you ever see like a hundred friends online yeah right a hundred people online
because you know how a hundred was max would you ever see like 100 friends online never i don't
think so i mean there would be a lot of fucking people in line especially halo two
bro remember halo three on the bottom of you to see how much people were online in like right
when you loaded up your friends list or like the population literally the population
I would say.
I forget what the numbers would be.
Do we do.
Like comparing that to like where Halo's at now.
Oh, it's fucking insane.
Yeah.
It's like tragic kind of looking at it.
I'm not going on.
So you played Halo 2 or you played Halo 3.
You're gone in doubles.
Then I guess I don't know if you were like keeping up at the time.
Like Halo reach drops.
All right.
And then that's when like I somewhat became known.
What's funny is that me, I don't know how we met,
But me and Jesse eventually met in Halo Reach.
Boo Boo Boo Boo Boo Boo.
For those I don't know.
That's his Gamer Tag always been booboo.
Yeah.
And he came up with it because like...
I don't know.
He just randomly came up with it.
He said, that's what he said.
Do you have any idea what it means?
Buba doo, no.
But he's like catchy as fucking.
I like it.
I always called him like poo poo-pooh-hoo.
Like I would just make up fucking poo-poo-poo-doodoo.
Like, broo-boo-boo-boo is like such like a weird name.
that like it like goes so well
but like it just
it's not even a gamer type
there's like a Twitch chat
it's like boo boo take my do boo
I don't even know
like no one knows what it
doesn't know what it means bro but it's fucking hilarious
so what you start playing Hila Reed
yeah so then we played uh
what was that what was that play this called
wasn't it like
it wasn't ranked but it was like
you don't talking about arena
it was arena so it basically was
it wasn't MLG right
I don't remember it was like the soul
social version of like my brain's fried like everything's I'm pretty sure there was like I
I could be wrong in this for the people that play to reach because they don't be mad at me I'm
pretty sure actually not it probably was MLG anyways I play the play in this called the arena I'm
pretty sure and then that's where I met booboo do boo-d-doo and like he was like somewhat my age
and I would match him yeah we mean him we're like trying to get into like the scene and like
I talk shit because like we were just like the same age we're like competing against each other
and then eventually like yeah we kind of just hated each other because like we I'd always talk shit against him like you'd match against him yeah and then you ever teabag him yeah well I shoot his body and shit yeah for sure I beat him down and then uh so then somehow all right and then I started getting in one v ones a lot I actually got on one v ones a lot you know AC Big Daddy or no what is it AC Big Daddy it sounds very familiar what was the only bones almighty they sound very familiar they sound very familiar.
Basically, I'm pretty sure they're 1V1 kids, but yeah, if you go on YouTube, you can see me beating one of those guys.
Anyways, you know Dream Crusher?
He streamed.
Stream 1V1s.
Dream Crusher?
Dream Crusher, something like that.
I don't know.
He actually had a decent movie.
He used to have like 100 viewers on the Justin TV.
I mean, but back then, that was like Justin TV.
That was a lot.
So, but anyways, he said if you, if you beat him in a 1V1, you get a, you get something.
think you get like oh yeah you get adies on his friends list or something like that i was like
yo low-key like this how i get this is how i get known yeah so i beat his ass right i'm like
i don't know how old i am and then guess who so right after i beat him i guess who was watching
was commonly flies that's who was watching him really he he adds me and be like yo
one v1 one and like bro this little fucking one v1 2b2 scene everyone's challenging he so then me and him
one of you one I think he beats me and then like from there like I started playing with him but he was
the one that like somewhat brought me to like the scene because then from there I loki started to play
eights with like semi pros I think like somewhat known people and then from there I kind of just
I didn't really get known because I was underage no one was like oh this guy's like underage but
that's like I like did you have plans of like going to events or anything yeah I wanted to go to
this one event that my brother went to but what was like the first event you wanted to go to
to.
Anaheim and Haley Reach, whatever, whatever event that was.
Like, was that, like, 2011 or 12 or something like that?
I don't know who won it.
I actually remember.
You were, like, fucking 11.
Bro, I was young, dude.
I was crying, bro.
I literally told my mom, I was like, dude, I'm trying to go.
Like, I just wanted to expect it.
That's all addicted I was.
I was just trying to expect it.
I wasn't even trying to, well, I don't think I could play.
It's like magical when you're that young, though.
Wait, that's actually insane.
And I don't think about it?
Oh, my God.
I remember crying, bro, because, like, my mom didn't let me go.
but my brother ended up going
You know it's a funny story
My brother wanted to compete with people
And they lost
And like the guy
So I think my brother
Got a ride from the guy that was teaming with to the event
And then when they lost
Like instead of that guy
You're driving him back
He left him at the event
Really?
So then we had to pick him up
Which is fucking far from where we were up
Bro people used to do some
Like desperate shit
Desper shit to like get to events
I remember in Halo 3, 2000, Toronto in 2008.
I had a teammate.
I lived in Maryland.
There was a Toronto event.
Toronto and a Halo.
What?
I didn't know there was a Toronto event Halo?
Yeah.
In 2008, I'm pretty sure.
You had your passport then?
No.
We drove over.
And I don't know how it works.
I think you just had to like fill out a piece of paper and you could drive.
But I'm like 16.
seen 17 or something.
These dudes from New York
this guy thrust
and like his brother or something.
Maryland's like here on the East Coast.
New York's like above us.
They drove four hours down
picked up me and Demon D
because we both lived in Maryland
and then we drove like
fucking 12 hours to Toronto or something
and we got like top
24 or something
and so afterwards we drive
they drive like 12, 14 hours
like something crazy drop us off
and then they have to
to drive up four hours to New York.
Like people did some desperate fucking shit.
It's insane.
I remember like this is how much of a little shit I was.
And I feel like I was telling someone this the other day.
I think it was my girlfriend or somehow talking about it.
But we were on the way back from Toronto.
Like this is how much of a little shit little shits we were.
Like we bought a cart in the eggs.
And like as cars were passing, like we were just throwing eggs at people's cars.
Like weird.
And it's like I can never imagine myself like ruining someone's day like that now.
Like TP in their house and shit.
But I was, yeah, like, I used that ding dong ditch fucking.
Did you ever get in any?
I feel like you were a good kid.
No.
What were you like?
I actually was a good kid.
What about like your grades in school?
Oh, it's literal horseshit.
Really?
I'm sick.
Well, actually.
Enough to pass.
Nah.
Not that I'm like, my mom told me that she had to put me in like summer school
in like fifth grade, I think, or a sixth grade.
I think it was six grade.
Oh, there.
I'm pretty sure it was six grade.
And then like me not knowing what the fuck that shit is like, I'm over here.
getting told like oh like you have to do this because like you just have to like you like
you have no say but the reason i did it was because i was fucking stupid as fuck really yeah so then i
obviously i do summer school and then they just didn't tell you that straight up yeah they
didn't tell me straight up with you so then seven day the grade i passed that shit by the way if you're
seven eighth grade listening to do literally the free of shit like i didn't even so free like i swear like
like you could get all the left still pass at least that's what i didn't actually well no no i didn't
Yeah, I feel like middle school, you got to...
Bro, middle school was so easy.
I just showed up and just...
Yeah, anyways.
And then in high school, like, all right, my freshman year, like, I started taking
a serious because, like, oh, you're in high school.
Like, this is where the big dogs are.
I took that shit serious and, like, I got, like, C's B's.
And then not, like, junior or no.
Sophomber junior, like, I didn't give a fuck.
Like, that's when I started pursuing HAL-5.
I became a pro in HAL-5 when I was 16.
So, wait, when you're 16, what are you?
you, sophomore?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah, so, like, I started
become pro and then, like...
Sophomore junior-ish.
And then that's when, like, shit was reps.
Like, that's when, like, I wanted to...
Shit goes...
Everything else becomes irrelevant.
Bro, I really wanted to drop out in 100%.
So in HAL...
I guess this is...
HAL reach passes. You play HALFOR at all?
I did, but, like, bro, I quit,
brother, that show that.
Yeah.
So then HALO4...
What did you do during then?
I think I was like playing
Were you just a committed fucking gamer?
Did you do like anything IRA?
I think I played a, no, hell no.
Besides soccer, I played soccer.
Like casually?
Not like, I'm talking like after you quit soccer, did you like,
you don't seem like the like, yo, he was hitting up parties,
doing drugs and shit.
Well, to this day, I have never gone to a party.
Like, well, a high school party.
Yeah.
Like a house party type.
Well, I've been to, like, Mexican parties and shit, but let's not get a party.
That's, like, the only reason I went is because, like, my family went.
That's just like a Carni Asada.
Yeah, like a...
Karni Asada.
Fucking, yeah, basically, yeah, that's like the only parties ever went to.
And then...
Nah, I've got invited, though, but I've just never, like...
I mean, you know how it is.
Like, you just want a game, bro.
Yeah.
I literally just wanted a game.
I wanted to become...
Actually, no, I was doing it for fun.
I didn't really want to become a pro.
At least...
Actually, that was my dream.
But I was mainly playing just with...
Were you kind of, like, a loner?
or did you have friends, but like after school you dis-
That's what made it like fun, just because like I was chilling with like,
I mean, I was like, it depends on the year, but like I was friends like boo-boo,
falkated.
I mean like in real life.
Oh, real life?
Yeah.
In school, I had like four or three, but I had like one best friend.
But then like after school, you just disappear.
Oh, I don't know.
No one hears from you.
You ain't hanging out with no one.
You didn't see me.
That's kind of like where I, in Halo.
to Halo 3, it's like when I stopped
like hanging out with people.
But then like I also wanted to be cool
at the same time.
Like it used to like feel
I remember I'd come home from school
and then like go play basketball
with like the neighborhood kids for like an hour
then I'd come back and like brag
to my friends on next one.
I'm like, wait, you guys have been on this whole fucking time?
Yeah, I just played basketball.
Like I'm fucking cool.
You're not.
No, I think what uh...
I feel like my parents actually
well, my mom specifically did like a really good job
with
like
god my fucking neck hurts
how the fuck this
hitch fucking do this
was saying like
how bad drugs are
because I feel like
the only reason
I didn't get into that stuff
is literally because
how like much she stressed
like to never do that stuff
do you know about
I mean bro
I think tell you about my fucking brain
did you
do you know like anything about
me going to like rehab and shit
yeah yeah yeah
bro I used to take
so much Adderall
the X I didn't abuse as much
My shit was Xanax and Adderall
But the amount of Adderall I used to take
Was fucking insane
How old are you?
I probably
I started abusing it
In
I would say
2010
Halo 3
How old are you?
I was probably
2010 Ato 3
I think it was 19
18 or 19
Do you remember
Like who introduced it?
No
I think it was
I used to go to like
Some local lands
Where we just play
And then like I started like
She was probably
candy over there yeah it was fucking but back then it was like you just take one 1 30 you're just
I'm just all I wanted I used to play like 2 v2s in a 3 just not miss a bullet I felt like a
fucking god you're looking your lips and shit my first event I would go zombie mode it would make me
like super unsocial though like I didn't want to talk to anyone some people react different to
it like I've had teammates that like they get on it they just talk like this and their mouth that's all
dry but they just want to talk nonstop and it me
I would just like, I wouldn't want to talk at all.
I would just be like a zombie.
Like, you just locked.
But I think my first event take, I didn't, I don't think I took it for whenever I won
09 Nats and Halo 3, I don't think I took it.
I think my first event taking it was the first event of 2010 and I was shitting.
I was playing like, you took it then?
Yeah.
Or maybe it was the second event of 2010.
I took, that was my like first event taking it.
And I was like, I'm a fucking God.
This is.
And then from there, every single, then I would try to take, then I'd take it and be like, damn, I'm not playing that as well.
And then you're like, I need to take more.
And then I'm like, damn, I took too fucking much.
My heart's about to explode over my chest.
And then we.
And then now you need his annex.
You can't yourself down.
Exactly.
And that's how the cycle would start.
And that starts turning into every event.
I put this on my mother's life.
I've never taken it.
And I never will.
but the only reason I like I know is this shit is because of like
obviously I'm in the gaming space and like this is like everything
it's like talking about fucking throughout the entire year
of like every season and like it's just insane like how much I know
based on like I don't even take it yeah like I'm never just being
sort of in the community which it's Adderall's just like a
it's a huge thing around I mean even in real life it's a it's a thing like I'll
meet some of
I don't want to say who
just people in real life who like don't game
they take it for work
after work if they want to go out and drink
they'll take it like it's
people get addicted to it
obviously regardless whether they're gaming
but in gaming it's like
motherfuckers will be
in their room
just
like not doing anything productive
just like start taking it
and then they'll start playing it
they're like damn I can
focus. At first it's like
damn, I'm playing pretty good, but then it's like, damn,
I'm not playing good. Let me take more and it's just worse.
That's why, like, every single time.
And then when you stop taking it, you don't want,
it turned by 2016,
I would say, I didn't play a single video.
I didn't stream ever without it.
I didn't play ever without it.
Every single time I was screaming, every single time I was streaming,
I was always on Addera.
That's insane.
And it would like, I'd go to sleep at 5 a.m.
Here comes hex at 9.30 with the camera at the optic house.
And it was just fucking.
It was miserable.
It was like the best of times, but like worst of times.
But it's like I did it.
It wasn't my environment that made it the worst of times.
It was like me making it just.
Just because I was just addicted.
And like if I didn't take it, I would.
I had no ambition to play anything.
And then that continued all the way to.
all through Halo 5
I was fucking turning into like a crackhead
basically
I'm getting it off the streets
that shit's probably like
you were getting it off the streets
yeah I mean I had a prescription
and I was getting it off the streets
that shit
and then I retired
and it just got worse
isn't it one off a meth chromosome or whatever
yeah and people would like lace it with meth
probably do it with like fentanyl and shit now
I don't know what the thing that's here's
I don't know what was in my shit
never do that stuff because like, I mean, one, well, you don't need to take that shit for gaming.
Well, I feel like, I will say, I do feel like it depends like the person that you are.
I think they're taking it for a good reason.
For example, like, if you truly have a hard time, like, focusing and like all that stuff.
Yeah.
I think there's a small amount of people that could, that benefit from it, don't abuse it.
They take it like the doctor's prescribed and that's it.
Yeah, not 100%.
But it just gets into abuse and fucking 20.
2020, people were starting to...
Wait, did you ever go back to Halo 3
and start playing in, like, 2019?
Yeah, like, 2019.
I went to do that.
Yeah.
Wait, what did you play set of it?
Top six.
But, bro, I did.
I was really playing with...
Well, it was me Falcated side,
but I was throwing Blazorese.
You know Blazorzrezee?
We just went as, like, boys.
We just went as boys.
We literally just did it just to, like, fuck around.
But now, I mainly went to the event
because there was a Halo 5 event,
Two v.
Oh, really?
Yeah, it was me, John, versus Neptune and saying.
Oh, shit.
Lucid?
So by, like, I didn't go to those events, but then in, like, 2020, I broke up with my girlfriend.
First, I went in the beginning of 2020.
I was just, like, abusing the shit out of it, playing, like, I don't know, Fortnite or...
I don't even remember what I was.
I'd play anything.
As long as I was sitting at my PC playing anything.
you're probably playing H1Z1
weren't you?
Yeah
Didn't you get big in H1Z1?
Um,
I was decent
Like I'd get like
1,000,
1,500
Maybe like 2K viewers
And for me,
I was fucking
Like they're
I'm pissed off
Because there weren't gifted subs
Like I'd like
I might have had like
2,000 subs just
Like legit
Which is
I'm like dude
If there was gifted
Subs back then
That would have been like 10K
Because I'm pretty
Like weren't
Didn't you have like
An insane community
Didn't?
Like wouldn't they always
chat yeah they like yeah i look back trust me i look back and i'm like i'm gonna fuck this up big time
but uh early 2020 went to rehab came out and i was like all right let me chill on this shit
and then burgo with my girlfriend i was like i'm a fucking free man i can do whatever i want
covid's out so no one's leaving their house there's like no then i was on you know i was on
mutineers yeah that's like a so right yeah but like tugar just picked me up because it was like
yeah like we're not going to use a fucking sub let's just get you and like you can do some content for
us i was like works for me um so then yeah like after rehab or got out of rehab broke i'm with my
girlfriend started grinding i found out people were playing halo three again so i started doing that
and then that just became i started taking like people would take a 30 and be like zooted and i
i would take like 150 just to get out of bed and go shower then i hop on the game i'm taking another
150. I'm on 300 by the time I'm starting to play.
Wait, 150? Yeah. My sketch, my sketch, my sketch, I'm on 300 by the time I'm getting on.
Wait, this is when you're out of rehab? Yeah. This is, this is post-rehab. This is post-rehab.
I'm like, I don't got to do shit. Like, it's COVID. Like, I can just hide. It's just,
start playing Halo 3, start abusing it more and more. So like, whenever you're in the shower
when you're on 1-50, are you just like looking at the water? Oh, I'm like starting to heat.
It's like starting to hit me.
But like, what are you doing in the tower?
You're just like staring at all.
I'm getting it over with so I can get on the game.
I'm scrubbing.
I'm drying off and I'm sitting.
I'm sitting down still like half fucking soaking wet,
just starting up a matchmaking game.
Oh my God.
And then it just got worse and worse as the fucking year went on.
And then by the end of the year I was taking it.
So rehab then teach your shit?
Well, the first rehab,
I only went for like nine or ten days.
And I went in.
I didn't even go in with the mindset of like I'm done after this.
I went in with the mindset of like,
let me detox safely off this stuff.
So like nothing.
So I live.
Because like when you get off Xanax,
it's just not safe to do
by yourself.
Like yeah.
So I went there just to do that.
And then when I got off,
I'm going to,
and I was like,
I'm going to be better with this shit.
Like no more back in the gym.
That ended quickly after like a month.
And then the whole 2020 was a fucking shit show.
And then by the end of the year,
I was taking like three to 600.
it
three to 600
a day
and then
my schedule
was wake up
play for
72 hours
and then sleep
for like 8 to 16
and repeat
like it was
it was fucking
how did you feel
on 600
it's a feeling
you'll never get
without 600
it was fucking
it's a
the point is this
it
I think it like
ruined
that
how can I explain
this
after feeling
that feeling that
feeling of being on threshold, it like made a threshold of something I'll never, I'll never be
able to feel like that again. And I feel like I'm still like, I'm like almost chasing that fucking
feeling. But it's like you feel once you're, I mean, there were half the days were fucking terrible.
I would like feel like I'm not feeling it. I'm playing bad. I'm getting pissed off. I'm raging.
I'm not enjoying myself. But then like sometimes it's like there's no feeling like it.
But you're saying like dopamine wise.
Yeah. Like I was my dopamine.
and like serotonin or whatever was skyrocketing music i i listen to music now and nothing hits like
it used to hit like i used to blast my fucking music while playing like i would get in some zone like
i loved it and it was just like but then i was like crying my once i crashed after 72 hours
like there was just uh the sad the complete opposite feeling the saddest it literally bawling like
But I was like
That almost became addicting
Like I would put on sad music
On purpose just to like feel sad cry
Then I'd go to sleep
That I'd wake up and repeat
It was fucking insane
And I feel like my brain
My I feel like my memory
Got fucked up
I feel like just my
I feel like my fucking IQ decreased
Like I feel like something
Like it kind of it fucked up my brain
And I'm like even to this day
Like still repairing it
And since then, I haven't been, I've, I like don't lock in ever anymore.
Like, I still feel like I can't sit down and focus, especially on a video game.
Like I got out, I was playing Minecraft and shit.
Halo Infinite came out and I was like, dude, I can play like two to three hours and then I'm done with this shit.
Like, it ruined.
Yeah.
Point is for those fucking listening and fucking with this shit, like, it literally ruined gaming for me.
and I think it ruined more than that.
Like it pushed my brain to feel this fucking dopamine serotonin,
like this threshold that I think it's did to my brain
that I'll never be able to achieve again.
And it just, it's not good.
For all the new gen.
And you don't fucking need it.
I didn't need it.
I won a national championship.
I don't know.
As a, I barely have any athletes,
but donors and I even bring that out.
Just because, like, you could probably trust me.
Like, if I didn't win shit, like, don't, don't, like, listen to me.
But, like, I've won shit.
I mean, people watch your POV and they know there's something special.
Well, like...
You look like your own 300.
Your POV.
Oh, I thought you're saying, like, right now, like, a little box and shit.
No, your gameplay looks like your own fucking 300.
That shit's all...
I promise you with all claw.
Like, me, like, if I didn't claw, I would not be able to do it.
No, I...
Fucking, I, I've tried...
Did you start...
outclawing? I've tried and I could not get used to it.
My uncle did it. Did you start clawing or just shooting with your middle finger?
No, I literally started cllying. As soon as a young kid, like, that's how my uncle played.
So, like, I just thought it was normal. And then I...
Bro, it's clawing. I swear clawing is like a cheat code.
Bro, it makes you look so smooth.
I'm telling you that you will never find someone that's like, that's not good at clon.
Or like, if they barely start clon, obviously they're going to be bad, but like if you find someone that's comfortable with the brother.
See, I would do some weird shit where like,
I would say I'm like running the flag.
I start clawing.
Yeah, like half call.
Yeah, I know there's a lot of people.
I would half claw to where I'm like always,
I always shoot with my index finger,
but like sometimes I'd like,
because you got to turn and pick up a weapon
or like turn and hit why.
In Halo, I'd shoot with my left, right?
I played Southball because my uncle.
What?
I played literally on the settings.
You would, and you don't do that anymore?
I still, I only do it in Halo, not caught.
What?
So if you played,
when the guy on Halo,
you'd,
to feel comfortable,
you'd have to...
Dude, what?
It makes no sense.
What would you need with?
Right,
right trigger or whatever?
Yep.
And then depending on the halo,
this is actually weird.
Let me guess.
Inverted and shit.
Depending on the halo,
it was weird.
You would beat down,
like, Halo 3,
I beat down it would be,
but in Halo 5,
I'd beat down LB.
It made no sense
because, like,
you couldn't configure their settings.
It was literally just based on the game.
Damn.
what the fuck?
Yeah, that was weird.
But, yeah,
To get back to my point about the Adderall or whatever,
because I feel like it's a new thing, like,
well, not a new thing, but I feel like a lot of people take this,
like for competitive, like enhancement and all those other bullshit.
But for all the new gen people that are competing,
I promise to that shit, I've been around it because I've been competing,
and I've only seen people downhill taking that shit.
Literally.
Literally.
I have never seen someone start taking it,
and they just got better and better.
and now they're got.
It's just a trap, dude.

All it takes is...
Fuck, no.
It was a down-ill spiral.
Literally just trust the process.
Trust your craft, and, you know,
you'll fucking make something happen.
Yeah.
I mean, there was...
I mean, I don't want to talk about that or all too much.

Before I get into the random questions,
fuck, I don't really want to talk about Halo and God the whole fucking time.
But how did you?
Yeah, we didn't even get to like Halo 5.
Do the fucking people give a shit?
I care.
I want to know, like, did you, I think I said this to you,
maybe
I don't know
sometime I said it to you some
but um
me and Flamesword were an optic
shit squad whatever
then there was like you
and I think Falcated on the come up
you guys were like a duo right
and this was probably
the first year Halo 5 came out
and I think we were trying to
we were thinking about like
who the fuck do we pick up
and I think Flamesword mentioned
like you and Falcated
and I was like maybe Falcated
I was like I don't
I've never even like heard
I think I've like maybe sort of heard of Shotsie
But like I don't I just don't know anything about
But um
We
Yeah we thought about it
The worst mistake of my life
Wait so you guys picked up life lifestyle
We picked up like lifestyle and chaser
Who? Exactly
Do you know what chaser is?
No
Exactly
And then we got like top 12
And we just fuck like
Fuckish
Like
Like thinking back at it now
Like now looking Falka and now look at you like
God damn
Even if you picked this up
I don't even think we could have competed
Because of the age limit
You know what I'm saying?
I think I'm almost positive
I think you were about to turn
The age of or something
Low key
Now that I'm thinking about it
But I think we were thinking
I mean I don't even know if
You had a team or would have
I'm assuming you would have
Wait wait wait
Was that optic B team or was that
We were just the optic halo team
How'd you?
And then, like, we had stellar on our team.
He left because we didn't qualify for X games.
They were COG at the time, talks?
Yeah, they joined after.
They joined, like, the second year of Halo 5.
I got dropped for CLG, and then they won every fucking event.
Um, we were just placing, we get, like, a top 12.
I don't even know.
I think we might have got, like, a top eight.
And then Flame Sword retired, and I picked.
up like, I think it was like me, it was me, Ace, straight, sick, and nated, and we were
a god swat on line for like a month.
Yo, wait, hold on, wait, so random.
But bro, how much do you think Flame made off that fucking Red Bull shit being on the can?
I don't fucking know.
I literally have no idea because that was like so...
Bro, I forget what year that was, but...
Bro, I remember buying it and seeing his face and I was fucking mimelisked.
Yeah, I feel like it wouldn't even be about the money.
It'd be more about, like, you can be...
He's going to be 40 years old and be like I was on the motherfucking Red Bull Can.
Like, I mean, bro, like...
I don't think back that nowadays, if someone was, like, if Shotsie's on a Mountain Dew
bottle, like, I'm sure that you would get a fucking check.
Flame, maybe not.
It could have been like, could have been $25,000, $50,000, $100.
I really have no idea.
What if you just got exposure?
Yeah, but that's like a...
That's actually fucking insane that he was on a...
Bro, this guy was just on that shit, dude?
Anyways, but...
What were we talking?
Was I talking about something?
picking you
biggest mistake
oh we got
I was teaming
with me
Nated Ace
uh
fuck
you the fuck
I just fucking said it
me
Naded
Ace
straight sick
and we were
really good online
for a little bit
until we
until we got like
12-0ed by CLG
and then we just started
me and Nade
started arguing
and we would text
we were like
shit talk texting
each other
he was like
I don't think you're good
and I'm like
I think you're the worst
teammate of all time.
And like he'd have attitudes.
I can't go positive in an online match.
Did you still have a day?
Like that text?
No.
My text delete after like 30 days.
It would be amazing if I did have some of these.
Dude, that'd be so funny to like look back at it.
So just eventually, uh, CLG, those little cock suckers probably hit up Hax.
And we're like, yo, we want to join Optic.
Fuck Maniac.
Kick him off the team.
And then Hax was like, yo, we're gonna.
Is that whenever you're living at the house?
Yeah, this was like 20.
The end of 20.
So did you get kicked out of the house?
So, Hex was like,
yo, you can stay here,
be in the videos.
Like, there was like smooth comp,
make your vlogs, whatever.
Stream, be a content creator,
and you can live here.
Just be a content creator for Optic.
Or, you know,
you can go do whatever you want.
And at that time,
with Halo 5, my placings were like,
we might have got like a top six
on like an online cup or a top eight,
but maybe,
like top 12
it was just like nothing good
nothing in so and I and I hated the game
it was it felt heavy
I I wouldn't say I appreciate
Halo 5 but like
I understand their skill there
and like if you can get
if you can like master Halo 5 it's like
no it was a really fun game I'm not gonna
yeah I imagine it being fun if you're fucking good
bro
now it's insane like but I was just done
because I was over Halo 5
I was like brothers I'm not trying to
even by the end it was me
APG
Ace and Heinz
and I was like
this is gonna be like a solid squad
like we're all fucking smart
we're all selfless
like this is gonna be a good fucking
squad and then like
CLG comes kicks me out
they're like you can either go
with those fucks
and find some other team
or you can just be a content
and I was like dude
I hate Halo 5
I'm addied out of my fucking mind
haven't slept in a week
I was like I'm down fucking bad
I need to change my fucking life
and turn this ship around
and I was like
I think I'm just done
with competing man
Like, there was times I thought I was like, I still could have competed and got like top six.
I don't think I wasn't going to be winning no events.
And then I think a year, maybe at the end of that season or like a year later is when Shotsie comes in.
So the way it worked.
All right.
So wait.
So you're talking about 2017?
Yeah.
Was that like your first year?
I retired at the end of like 2016.
All right.
So Halo launched 2015, right?
Yeah.
Hylon lost 2015, and I remember playing, it was either Team Beyond or, like, an Astro tournament.
It was me and Falcidden.
Me made finals, the first, like, month of the game or something like that, first couple months or whatever.
We played against Frosty and Randa.
Randa.
Yes.
I remember.
Down to a T.
The ultimate D-Rider, but I like you, Rand.
So, all right, keep in mind.
This is when Bride was fucking insane.
Like, he was literally the best player.
Yeah.
So we lose that tournament.
Because, like, Brad's just fucking, I'm not really sure.
like if he hard carried but like
they just won whatever
so then from there for whatever reason
I was like I'm quitting the shit
really? Bro I'm not trawling I was so tight
wait when was this like end of 2016
early 2015
oh really? The game launched like
oh shit I remember we lost something like
fathom anyways
fast forward oh my god was my voice
cracking up fast forward uh we start playing
or yeah so I quit I was like yeah I'm not gonna lie
I can't do this shit so then I go to call
Duty. I go to Call of Duty.
This is BlackOps 3. So still while Halo
5 was out, you were like, yeah, fuck it.
Well, I'm pretty sure. Like, the reason I didn't
play is because I wasn't of age.
I wasn't of age, and then, like,
for whatever reason, Callow Duty was calling my name.
I don't know what. The way that,
I don't know. Anyways, so I go to Call of Duty
and then, you could probably guess.
I'm playing fucking 1V1 wagers. I'm a 1-5-1
wagers. I fucking knew it.
So I ran up, I forgot how much I
deposited, but I ran up
all the way to $1,000. When I
was 15, I'm like, holy fuck, I'm rich.
I'm over your buying Supreme and shit.
And this is your first cod?
That I played competitively, yeah.
Like, every other cod had just played.
Like, you just got good and started shitting on G.B.
But listen, it was jet packs, though.
So, like, movement, you know what I'm saying?
Like, I was fucking insane on that shit.
Bro, I was.
Of course.
I was flying on the fucking trees because there was trees on that shit.
So I made that shit to the 1,000.
And then from there,
but, all right, oh, yeah, that's another thing.
Oh my God.
All right.
So whenever I left, I told my, like, my, like, my, like, my, like, my, like,
my group.
It was, like, me, Falcadibu, boo-boo.
Like, there was other people.
Anyways, I told them that, like, I'm going to get a job being, like, a referee.
Like, I was, like, lying.
Because I didn't want them to know that, like, I was playing cut.
I was trying to keep it, like, on the download.
I don't know why the fuck I, like, thought that was.
So then, like, I ran that shit to a thousand.
And then once I ran it to a thousand, I came back.
And then, like, I was like, yo, like, I'm not going to lie.
Like, I don't have a hell.
I was just playing Blackhous three, like making hell of money and shit.
So then that's when I started to win Falkit again.
And then that's when that shit happened with like me and you,
you guys didn't pick us up.
And then, uh, so then it was like me,
falcated Arctic or actually was it was like me saying Arctic in, uh, over two.
Remember? And he said that that's why he always jokes around and said like,
oh, this is my like playground.
So then what happened was we screamed.
All right, literally the first week that I came back,
I'm not trolling.
You're going to know how to pick them.
Bro, the first year that I came back, I'm not trolling.
We stream Bibu Falka, yeah, Bibu Falkated, Renegade, and Shooter.
And then I convinced them to drop Renegade.
I didn't know John.
I didn't know, like, I didn't know, because, like, yeah, I just didn't know John.
And I was like, you just drop Renegade.
Damn, you chose.
So then, no, that's actually kind of funny.
So then they dropped Renegade.
And pick me up for any again.
And then I go to my first event.
UMG St. Louis.
St. Louis.
Did you go to the event?
2016, I think?
Probably, maybe.
17 now.
Bro, I'm like, you know Coach Phil or no?
I know.
I know the name.
Coach Phil.
There's me,
me, Coach Phil,
his brother,
boo-boo,
falcated shooter,
all in one room.
Six guys in a room.
I'm sleeping in the closet and shit,
right?
That's my first ever.
That's how it used to be.
And then so the dude, oh my God, it's so on it.
So then, all right.
We get in the top eight, I think it was, or something like that.
We get in the top eight, my first ever event, I forgot out who we beat.
We'd be sland them probably, I'm not going to lie.
So then we're all jolly.
This is like on the Saturday night or something like that.
We're all jolly.
We're like, oh, hoo-ha.
Like, we just got top of eight.
Like, we're going back to the hotel.
And we were told that we were done.
And then we get a DM from, like, you just see Matt or some shit,
saying, like, yo, you guys have to come.
come back to the venue to play for top six.
I'm like, what?
So we sprint back.
Guess we were playing?
CLG.
APG.
Aaron, or Ace,
renegade,
and I don't even know who the guy was.
I don't know who the other guy was.
But then we lost game five,
50, like 48.
Damn.
For top six?
If you see the video,
you just see like Aaron going crazy.
Really?
I think it was like going crazy.
Really?
You see APG going like
Like that hit shit?
Is this on like main stage or some random?
This is a feature station.
Feature station like hell of people were behind us and shit.
I was going off.
Plaza Game 5 Slayer lost that.
But like it's just funny because you know they dropped Renegade for me and then like
Renegay beat us.
Uh-huh.
He was chilling some type of way.
That's when they're on straight ribbon.
Oh yeah.
And then from there I slowly like it went just like that.
Was it high?
on the team?
Yeah, I think it was Heinz.
Look it, yeah.
So that was my team, but they dropped me
for Renegade.
No.
That was your team?
Yeah.
And then they...
Well, I mean, they didn't drop me.
I fucking quit and retired.
Was your team?
That's insane.
But, I mean, they picked up Renegade,
so they got it pretty good.
Well, no, this is the same that, like,
I played, like,
full circle.
Yeah.
I'm talking about this.
Like, that's insane.
I could have been on either team.
You should have been with me.
So then now, now that's, like,
how my Halo 5 from there,
like, it literally just went like that.
Literally.
To play top six, I think we dropped foul-cated for Renegade again.
That's another weird thing.
We dropped foul for Renegade.
And then we placed like top three, and then our X event, we won.
And then I think we picked up Stellar, Eco, and then from there, we just kind of dominated.
And then that's kind of my Halo 5 run.
And then Halo 5 ends.
Like, there's no more seasons.
Bro, literally, the Fortnite came out.
I was grinding that shit, bro.
But, oh, you were playing like wagers and stuff
in a 4-4-9, right?
We're always grinding one-v-one,
this was, what was the last?
Halo 5 was 2018 as well.
And then what, 2019, you're playing Fortnite?
Fortnight, yeah.
And then you grind it.
And then, by and 4 came out.
You just did like wagers and shit.
By the 4 came out in 2019, I'm pretty sure.
And then that's when I switched over to Colorado.
I was like, you know what?
Let me try this, because I've always liked God.
And then that's how I,
I got known because I was playing one V-1s again.
That was always.
Playing one-v-one kids.
People disputing, even though I win.
They're trying to fake proof in all those other bull.
The cutscene is so fucking dirty.
It's the most.
It's the most...
Maybe not the most toxic community, but, like, it's a dirty community.
It's so dirty.
It's fucking insane.
That's why, like, I don't really fuck with anyone.
But anyways, um...
So, yeah, we do that.
And then, uh, and then it's eventually I got into the TV2.
It was me and this guy named...
I'm pretty sure it was Winaviti.
What?
Or was it?
Fiber.
I forget it was a, me and this 2v2 guy, right?
And then we, we chowd Indr, Inder and Selim.
And then we'd, like, either win or lose, win, lose.
We're, like, kind of trading.
And then that's kind of how I got my name out there,
because Indra would, like, stream with it, like, hell of viewers.
He was, like, the known S&D kid.
You know what I'm saying?
And, like, everyone would watch his streams
because, like, they were trying to learn some shit.
And then people were, like, seeing shots.
They were like, oh, I know this guy.
So then eventually, Selyum was of age.
So then he went to become a pro cop player on phase.
and then Inder didn't have a duo
so I hit up Inders saying like, yo, you try to play tournaments?
We play our first ever tournament, we got second
and then like from there we kind of just started playing
like over and over again and then...
You're like, we're fucking nasty.
And then...
Was that your duo for a while?
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Me and Indira the duo for a minute.
And then from there we're like,
we were challenging it's optic on the team
and then we lost that show.
But from there, we would just like,
do hella high...
Bro, we'd play for a thousand when I was like...
So you like...
I feel like you were never into 4V4...
fucking.
Ah, I was, I've always been a 1v1, 2v2.
So in like 2019, it was just like 2v2s with ender.
2B2s, 3V3s, like occasionally we get 4-4s, but that was like rare because like, no one would, no one to really play 44.
Like everyone was just threes and twoskids.
So were you guys kind of like a duo looking for a team?
Like, let's go to a event.
Well, we both were underage, so we literally did not be at any event.
So then fast forward to like when I was of age into that off season.
Keep in mind, I was still on Spice.
All right, so like, I was still on Spice, right?
And obviously, you know Spice is Toronto Ultra.
Uh-uh.
You didn't know that?
No, that's crazy.
Yeah, so Spice is Toronto Ultra.
So, going into the Black House 4, they kept,
did you know that Stellar, Eco, and Renegade played with Teddy Rex and Rambi and played
in a tournament in Black House 4?
And they're like, under Spice.
Really?
You didn't know that?
Uh-uh.
So they got like double first round, dude.
Yeah.
And then they kicked all them off.
And then they...
They tried to, like, make them the cod team.
Yeah, they tried to make them a cot team.
But, like, obviously, I can't play it because I was underage.
So they kick all them off.
And they call me saying, like, I'm going to be the only one on, like...
Like, we're going to invest in you, basically.
Damn.
But, like, bro, I was going to pay $3,600 to literally do nothing.
Just, like, wait to see if they form something around?
Well, to be fair, they got the fucking bag at the end because I got bought out by Envy,
which is, like, another story.
But, yeah.
But, yeah, so fast forward.
I'm still getting paid, literally doing absolutely nothing.
And then going into the off-season.
So it wasn't you an ender?
It was just you?
Yeah, it was just me.
And then you were like playing 2B-2s with Ellie.
Yeah.
So then,
Mono Warfare happens, the game that I won champs in.
And then I was like, all right, well, I'm fucked because I'm on Toronto Ultra.
They want me to play on their bench team.
I got called saying, like, you got to make your way up, all this other stuff.
I was all right.
Like, you know, I'm willing to do that.
Obviously, I wanted to be on the starting roster.
So, like, I was kind of trying to, like, ask Inder and Kyler what they were doing to, like, try to get on their roster.
Because, like, obviously, I wanted to start, even though I didn't even prove myself.
I was just being greedy as fuck.
So then what happens is Kyler had, like, hella offers, like, from LAT.
Actually, I don't really know the offers that he had.
I'm not trying to, you know, bait the whatever.
But he had, like, a lot of offers.
People were hitting him up.
and then Ender had like a couple offers as well
but Kyler
instead of deciding to you know
choose
one of those teams he made a team with me and Ender
he's like you know what I'm just gonna risk it
and like do what my guess says
and fucking young guns and pick up
Illy and Chi Yatzee
and I'm under contract
that's a crazy tree you
when I heard that shit
I was looking at my fucking lips I was like
bro I gotta do bro I'll tell
the org like I'm going back
Halo type shit.
Like, you know what?
Like,
you know what?
Like, I'm going to halo.
And then,
uh,
so then,
like that buyout shit,
they bought me out for like $300,000,
I think it was.
Not dude.
I didn't even like play competitive
Call of Duty.
Like,
where does this money come from?
It's the goddamn fucking question.
That's what I'm saying.
Yo, stroke out that bag.
I don't know.
So,
uh,
so then that happens and then
we got Clay,
crim,
and then fucking the rest of history.
I mean,
so I guess it was fucking worth it.
The buyout.
I mean,
So what, it was you three, and you were like, who are we going to pick up?
And then you got Clay and Crum.
Which is literally the perfect.
Yeah.
I think it was, I think that was the perfect.
Bro.
5.5 first off is weird.
And then you pick up, I think those two would be the perfect for you three, 18-year-old idiots.
Oh, my God.
It actually was, bro.
Our dynamic, like, bro, I've never had a team like that.
But it didn't it start off so high, did it?
Fuck, no.
That's, no.
So you go to your.
I'm pretty sure they're trying to.
drop me.
Really?
Let's try to drop me.
After like the first event when you shit the sheets and choke.
Which like I don't like, do you feel like you played bad or it's just oh no.
If I was in this shit, I would have dropped myself too.
I was playing like fucking ass.
But to be fair, I was playing really uncomfortable because like, I mean, it's like the same
shit at Halo.
If your teammates are telling you how to play a specific way and like you don't agree and
you like have a specific game style that you prefer playing.
Like you're going to play fucking weird and like it's going to throw your game off.
And that's kind of how it was for me like.
they're like, oh, slow down, slow down.
And, like...
I was like, yo, I'm trying to speed up.
You know what I'm saying?
And then, yeah.
But, I mean, I, like, looking back at it,
I mean, I don't blame him, but, uh...
They might...
I'm sure they were right in some sense,
but also...
Oh, they were right.
I'm sure they...
I was literally getting slammed.
Like, bro, I was running some dog shit.
I was running, like, smoke fucking trophy or some dog shit.
I was put on, like, literally the bitch roll.
And then once, like,
Kyle's a good team, bro.
I'm not gonna lie.
Tyler was like, yo, just throw in dead silence.
Like I'll take the smoke
I'll take trophy
Kyle's such a good team
I respect the fucking of Kyleor
I mean honestly all those guys around
Like that entire Dallas Empire squad
I fuck with the most
But now Porter was a
Porter was something in Cold War
But like in
He was what?
He was something in Cold War
Like he was like
He was interesting in Cold War
But in uh
In Mono Warfare
He was literally like
The best team man mind of my lie
Really?
Yeah
Because he just had that like
the redemption.
He got dropped from Optic.
He fell with some type of way.
I mean, it's good to have a teammate like that.
Like, I'm sure all of you were so hungry.
Bro, we were, like, especially-
Tyler, like, which is sick of having, like, you know, teammates that.
Or, like, he just, he just had unfortunate teams, I guess.
And then, Inder, like, bro, his passion is fucking insane.
So, like, everyone would fed off that.
Clay's passion was, like, bouncing off Inders.
Like, we, like, bro, I probably reached the dopamine levels that you were hitting.
Like, taking that six hundred.
With having them on the team.
Like, bro, it was insane.
And then Porter fucking.
Deep, deep.
Like, I hear you.
Like, commander-ass voice and shit.
Nah, that was a good ass team.
So the first event.
You guys stay together all year, right?
Yeah, we stay together all year.
But then fucking, oh, my God.
We win champs.
And then we get a call saying, yo, who do you guys want to drop going to next year?
Because they announced that it was 404.
Like, oh my God
Wait, what did happen with that?
I forget.
We literally won champs
The next day
We got to call us,
or they announced that 5'55 is going to 44
Because the entire community hated it
All the pro players hated it
Which like, yeah, it was dog show lo-key
And then...
Yeah, it's weird.
Who did you drop?
We all are gonna call three of us
And then we dropped the...
What you and her?
You're like Clay or Crim?
Player Crim?
One of these old heads, we just carried them all year.
I didn't even know who to pick, bro.
I literally did not know who to pick.
And, like, we all picked as a team.
We all thought, like,
dude, it was just,
it was literally a coin flip,
bro.
Like,
we might as well just fucking flip a coin in.
No bullshit.
Like, literally.
The next year,
how did you all place?
Well, first off,
we got second.
Your first fucking year competing
and you win worlds?
We went five events like.
Like, you did,
I feel like you did not have experience like that.
I'm pretty weird.
And then just after that,
it went,
like Shotsie's a fucking guy.
I'm pretty sure we win five events.
Or four.
And then it just turned into the shots
each show.
where everyone was.
And then Cold War.
Everyone wants a piece of him.
Everyone wants him on the squad.
Yeah, kind of.
And then, dude, oh my God.
And then after Cold War, the optic merge?
Oh, my God.
Bro, what I heard, like,
that shit was happening,
I was fucking mind-blown, dude.
I remember I was in a parking lot
in California, huh?
The envy optic merger.
Yeah, I was literally in the parking lot.
I get a text from Ray.
Optic envy merger.
Percentage of happening, 30%.
next week
30% of it happening 60%
Was he he was typing it like that
Something shit like that
Percentage that happening
99.9.
I was like what
And from there like
Were you kind of hype though?
Fuck yeah dude
Not only like
Wait so you turned into optic when
When did that happen?
After Cold War
So after my second year plan
So that was
2021
Yeah
And it's 2021
Yeah
And then the rest of
history.
And then we won an event
with Seth the first event.
I'm just glad I wanted...
I think I was there.
Was it here?
It's right here.
At the East Sports Stadium around?
I'm glad that I won an event with Seth.
That's all I'll say.
I'm glad...
Yeah, let's get into...
To wrap this up, let's get into some questions.
Favorite Cod teammate?
Was it Seth?
Shit.
Dude, Seth is fucking...
I'm only team with him a year.
That's so selfish to say like Seth.
I don't know.
love Inder. I love team with Inder.
Like, bro, if I...
Kyler, Inder Seth, like, they're all
in their group, bro. Like, they're all in, like,
their own group. Like, those guys, like,
I would team with him any
day of the month. But if you had to pick one.
That's so fucking hard, bro.
I feel like Seth...
Listen, if I team with Seth
for more years, I would 100%
say Seth. But since I team
with Kyler for, what, two, three years?
Or something like that? Or two years?
two and half because we dropped in a quarter of whatever
I'd say Kyler
Kyleor, yo, when is this shit dropping?
Five days?
Probably and like, yeah.
I'm telling you right fucking out.
Maybe anyone that is not picking up Kyler,
I'm telling you right now,
he is literally the best teammate would,
he's literally the best teammate, bro.
I've ever fucking had, no bullshit.
And if you guys, like,
you just have to trust the process,
trust in him and...
Think all the Kod Kids are watching this right now?
I mean, probably not, but like,
it'll probably be posted,
Not all the guy kids, but...
But dude, he's just...
I love color.
Why'd you get...
Why'd you get so emotional when Seth retired?
Bro, because, like...
I don't know.
I'm so emotional, whatever.
Like, like, I'm not really sure if that shit
is, like, an actual thing to...
What's that shit called?
The fucking...
What?
What's that shit?
The symbols and all that shit?
Cancer and all that.
Like, apparently cancers are, like, very,
like, emotional?
Emotional, but like...
What the fucking?
I think you know when you see emotional videos?
What's it called the fucking Taurus, Leo?
So you've signs, but there's like a different word for it.
There's like a, yeah, people will know in the chat.
Yeah.
Anyways, these idiots.
You know what, you know when you see like emotional-ass videos and like?
Yeah.
Like you scroll on TikTok because you'll see dog videos.
I get hella sad, dude.
I get hella fucking sad and for whatever reason, just like everything was going through my head, like him retiring, like, officially being over.
Because like the thing with Seth is like, he's,
like it's so insane
like Seth he wanted to play so bad
but at the same time he just wanted everyone else to like
he didn't want anyone else to feel bad
and like I just knew what he was going through
and like it just made it like
emotional just thinking about all that
you know what I'm saying?
Zodiac sign is the
yeah yeah Zodiac sign
and then Seth like
and then him just be a good
bro I almost cried
and like
I don't really give a fuck
sometimes I'd look at people like
bro you could just tell like
it met so much just like
the way he was like
It was beyond like the money.
It was just like the love of the game.
This has been his entire life.
And like I'm here witnessing one of the goats, like giving his like almost farewell speech.
And it's like I don't, I love supporting the Cod team.
Like I'm hype if they win.
I'm like, I'm empathetic if they lose.
And I'm like, fuck.
But like to be there in person, Seth get emotional.
It was a different feeling, dude.
It was a different feeling, dude.
It was, because I asked him, I was like, did you cry yet?
He was like, no, it's just, you know, he said, I don't know, something.
Then, like, when he gives his, when he gave his little speech, it was just like, there, come.
He was.
It's like, that's why.
He was hard, bro.
I'm not going to lie.
That she was hard to, like, not cried in.
All right.
So we won't make you pick your favorite teammate.
Halo or Cod, which did you?
You won a worlds in both.
Which one did you enjoy?
Oh, God.
Really?
I mean, bro.
I mean, the world's in Halo, you guys stand up.
you're just like nice.
Yeah, well, dude, it's so insane because like back then,
bro, the way I, like, had, the way I thought about shit back then is not how it is now.
Like, I did not give, like, a fuck, dude.
I was literally just playing, like, for fun and, like, I guess you'd say, like, I had an ego in terms of like,
yeah, I'm just going to win this shit.
Like, I don't get a fuck.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, I was going to show up to the event, win this shit, dip.
Like, fuck it.
Well, that's the shotsy mindset.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, that's how I thought back then.
But now, like, I'm getting fucking turn.
You know what I'm saying?
Like, yo, dad me the fuck up.
We put in so much work for this shit.
Yeah, I feel like now or back then you weren't.
You, you and Cod, they'll like go to listens in sometimes.
You're like, guys, let's fucking get good fucking shit.
I feel like in HALA, I can't see you.
No, yeah.
I was so mellow.
Like, that's when like I was still with my shell.
Like, I didn't really express like, you know, everything.
All right, so you go with Cod over Halo.
If you went back to Halo, you could pick up anyone you wanted.
Who's your team?
anyone I wanted
I'm my guess
Renegade Frosty
and definitely John
probably my old team
to be honest bro
literally yeah
my old team
Ego and
the only because I've
Cam with all them
like obviously like I would want to play
with Brad
and like
Frosty
yeah yeah Frosty
but
only because I had Cam
and like you know what I'm saying
Kevin dude Kevin
that's one thing about Kevin
like he is fucking insane
cons
it reminds me of Matt kind of
like bro he just like
you always know
know what's happening.
Seller, like, I mean...
Because I feel like ECO isn't...
Like, you don't see him, like,
sliding, being cracked.
No, yeah.
He's literally just, like, doing his thing.
Like, he's a teammate that you...
It's weird how good.
He's a teammate that you need on every team.
Like, he's literally just fucking...
And he knows that it went.
So you just...
You'd make your old team again.
Yeah, basically.
We're fucking gross.
Um...
I have some lame ones.
Like, how do you keep your mental
in a positive state?
Running, go.
You are a fucking...
Running.
You are, like, a positive kind of smiley person.
Are you, like, ever secretly low-key depressed and you just keep it in, but you put on a smile?
Or do you just, like, you maintain sort of a healthy lifestyle?
I truly love what I do.
Do you feel like if you weren't running, you would...
Like, you have to run, or it's like you'll feel kind of like shit?
No, 100%.
Yeah, no.
If I wasn't running, then it would definitely be...
I mean, that's probably one of the reason I kind of started because, like, gaming was just a little bit too, like...
Bro, because I just put so many fucking...
I mean, you're sitting in a dark.
I mean, you're sitting in a dark room.
I'm playing from one to seven, and then after that, I'm literally streaming for like five hours.
Like, that shit could get draining.
Yeah.
Like, when I was young, it was, like, so easy because, like, you didn't really think about shit.
But, like, now it's just so draining to where, like, I need to be fucking somewhere doing shit.
You know what I'm saying?
Yeah.
Or else it just gets way too, like, rinse and repeat.
I mean, it's just, it's not in our human nature to be sitting in a fucking room for 12 hours.
hours of like even if you got lights on it shit it's still like you're in this secluded
box and it's just you're not even like being a human almost and you know it feels like after
you're done running like the the like calmness of everything it's so fucking relaxing even like yeah
it's a weird feeling that it's so hard I never thought I would when I started running again I was
like where the fucks this runner's high motherfuckers talk about but then like then once I got up to
hit like just forced myself to hit six miles that
Like the last mile, I was running like a seven minute pace fucking flying.
It's so insane.
I went too hard, though.
I went, I did not go into running.
Like, I injured myself.
I'd have to be out for a week.
Even now, my lower back is, like, tweaked.
That's one thing for, like, a lot of people that are going to get into running.
Like, everyone thinks that your pace matters.
Like, oh, like, let me do this as fast as I can.
But in reality, to build your cardiovascular, you need to run at Zone 2.
So it's basically your, uh, zone 2 is like,
Or you could like have a conversation.
It's like 140.
Yeah, it's basically where you're running and like you could at least maintain a conversation.
It's like I think mine zero two is 140 to 154 beats per minute.
Yeah, I haven't gotten into all that yet.
Yeah, and I'm wearing this right now.
But so yeah, you basically just want to like kind of build your mileage week by week
and like increase it running zone too.
Obviously you want to have like fast runs to like beat up the, uh, to like make the speed up.
so what you could do is like track workouts and you do like 400 meter sprints like four times with like a jog cool down or like a walk cool down just a little stuff like that or like a couch for a couch potato because I think there are people that are like the gaming community it's like there's a reason we get into gaming whether it's like we're like a little antisocial or like we just feel comfort in our rooms and the next thing we know we're in our rooms all day every day but it's like that gets draining on your mental.
and I think there's a lot of people out there that like
want to find something else
besides sitting in their fucking room.
And like even me and Hitch talking about it.
Dude.
Talking about running like it is like,
I wish people like.
What advice for couch potatoes would you be like,
if you want to get into this,
like I promise in the long term you are going to,
you will not regret it.
I'm not going to say it.
I'm not going to say it's the most hardest thing in life,
but it's the most hardest like mental like sport.
I think at least, like, bro, running is like, that shit's so mentally like, bro, you're telling your, like, bro, your mind is telling you to, like, stop.
Like, literally stop.
Like, you, like, give up.
Yeah.
But, like, you don't want to.
And, like, it's just, like, a mental battle, like, the entire run.
And, like, you beating, like, your mind is, like, so rewarding.
And, like, you, you will, like, expand and, like, you understand, like, your mind even more just by running.
And you'll understand, like, just because it's hard doesn't mean that you won't be able to do it and all this other stuff.
but I remember
so accomplishing
I ran 10 miles
and at mile four
I had a blister in my foot
I was like all right
maybe I'll do like five miles
and like try this 10
and I was like
fuck no
that's the fucking mind
that's the mindset
that's got me to where I'm at
to where like I need a break
I need a break pass this shit
and it was like I don't care
how long
I don't care how slow I go
I am finishing the
I am going to have 10 miles
on my fucking Strava account
by the time on the
do you follow the Goggins
do I follow him like
on Strava or just like in general?
Yeah.
For those I want to get in running,
get into David Gagins,
he's literally the most,
I look up to him the most,
100%.
What would you say, what would you,
how should people start running?
Bro, literally, I'm telling you right now,
just watch a David Gagin's podcast.
But I mean like, what would be like a healthy
strategy, like,
start just their couch potato,
go run, go run a,
my advice would be like,
go run a half mile
and then walk back to your house.
start do that for a week then maybe try a mile then i would say yeah well
whatever your maxes divide that by fucking like hella like if your max is like one mile and then yeah
do literally what you just said like jog a half a mile and then just walk back and like
slowly increase that throughout the week so the entire week do that and then next week
increase it to a mile and see if you're able to or like increase it to a point 25 you know what i'm
saying and then just go from there and you're going to hate it at first but of
Eventually you're going to be like,
I feel like I need to do this.
The first month is probably the worst.
But like I'm telling you right now,
when you get over the hump,
dude,
there's something that like,
only runners that like actually do
consistently understand,
like how the feeling is.
And even if you...
It changes like,
it changes life.
Even if you do nothing with your fucking day
and like,
you feel like a loser.
Like,
I'll have days like that fucking...
kind of often.
But like, if I get that...
If that, if I get a workout or a run in,
I'm like,
at least...
You go good.
You got one fucking dub.
Like, I don't, it alleviates a lot of, like, stress and just this mental sort of attitude you might have about yourself.
And it's like, it's just an easy W to chalk for the day that you are in complete control of.
I think the thing that drives me is, like, the, I don't even know, like, the self-doubt, I guess.
Like, so my goal is to run a marathon.
But I just did, like, 11 miles.
And I was thinking of myself.
You're like, damn, I'm not ready.
Huh?
I was like, and you're like, damn, I'm not ready for this shit.
Yeah, like, that's the thing.
Like, I'm telling myself, like, I don't think I could do it.
But, like, I think that's what's, like, driving me.
Because, like, I want to see if my body's able to, like, do 26.2.
You know what I'm saying?
Yeah.
Because, bro, do you win 11 miles?
Like, bro, oh, my God.
I did 10, and it was like.
So hard.
Wait, I keep in my, I was running at 97 fucking degrees, bro.
Like, you probably can't tell how 10 I am.
It's different out of the camera.
But, bro, it's hot.
I was doing, I was doing three to four miles, like, pretty.
easy and then once it started
it started hitting like 100
because I'll run like
sort of middayish
11 noon and it completely
I get two I got two miles in and I was like
what the fuck? I don't feel good
like I don't even know if this is like healthy
no it's hard as fuck dude especially I can't even
run in I have to run in zone 3 right now
it's impossible to run the zone too
I just go to way too slow
I'm like walking at that point
yeah
I need to get a watch and like get into
if you get a watch like it's just gonna be Gigi
you'll be addicted to
telling you.
With your phone is probably not, like, I don't know.
Yeah.
I don't even really, like, trust this shit.
What, uh, right.
I had another one.
Oh.
I guess we can end it off this one.
What advice?
Because you're the young next.
There's,
there's only a few people that come through with, like, this.
It's like, we call it a generational talent.
I think there's, there's, like, obviously,
ogre two.
Oger one.
Ogre 2, Ogre 1, then a lethal,
then a snakebite Royal 2, then a formal, then a shotsy.
What advice would you give to these?
Because somehow, some way, there's people younger than you.
Because I feel like you're fucking 17 still.
But you're getting up there, man.
What advice would you give to the next shotsys
or just up-incomeers trying to make it into...
It doesn't even have to be God, Halo, any FPS.
there's sort of like a mindset in a practice regimen that I think you need to have.
Do you have any advice of like what you, maybe you would have done different, been a different type of teammate, would have put in more hours?
Do you have any advice for those trying to make it?
I'd say be a good teammate and like I can expand on that by like whatever your teammate says, like just like actually listen and be open to the conversation instead of just, you know, like nah, like fucking.
that I'm not doing that.
You know what I'm saying?
Yeah.
Because being a good teammate is literally like such a good, like, part of being a successful
team.
Because if you guys are actually being a team and like conversating and have good topics
and all that stuff, that shit could go a long way.
And then on top of that, it could give you more options to get on different teams.
And, you know, people will talk good about you.
So that stuff is definitely undervalued.
So definitely be a good teammate.
And then just trust your craft, trust way, you know, you put your hours in and all that
good stuff.
And, yeah, just be a good person.
Be humble, bro.
Literally.
Just be humble.
Just don't be weird.
Yeah, I feel like being a good teammates, very, I mean, being of good teammates, such
a broad thing to say, but it's like, it really does spread within, like, the top players
of, like.
It goes such a long way.
I can't stand a motherfucker who says, like, if you're not in the friend's inner circle,
you won't get picked up.
Like, no, you're just a fuck.
No one wants you on your fucking team because you're, you ain't good enough to be the type of
type of teammate you are.
Like, no one wants that attitude on their team.
Like, you're not.
good enough to have that attitude
like trust me it's not
this fucking inner circle shit
there's like a word for it
that people say
like there's like a
I don't know there's just like
you gotta be like friends with the top players
and they just all kind of
like friends don't and yeah they just all
trade each other and you if you're not
in that group like no motherfucker if you're good
enough and you're a good
teammate person
you put in 100% effort
and like it's shown like people
people talk and like that's how you stay
relevant and stay on top and get on good teams
and not just like get in the scene and they get kicked out
because motherfuckers just don't fuck with you
and everyone has their own path by the way
like just because I was successful
at 16 17 or whatever
doesn't mean that you won't be successful
like when you reach 21 or something like that
you know what I'm saying yeah like everyone has their own path
Like everyone has, you know, lucky past.
Everyone has unlucky and it takes a minute.
So as long as you're trusting it and just keep grinding, do your thing.
And yeah, that's it.
All right, man.
A lot's going to do for the episode.
Appreciate you coming on.
Shout out the hitch.
Yeah, yeah.
Shout out David, brother.
Yeah, we, uh, maybe you'll be here next week, brother.
All right.
Thanks for joining, man.
Later.
Catch you as the next one.
Appreciate everyone watching.
Later.
